Did I plan on adding to the reveal comics I made? No. Have a prequel to this one anyway. Fully from our little Hunter's perspective this time, so no heartbeats in this one (just me going wild with lines from the fic).
Protective idiot hellbent on the belief that all cryptids are evil is confronted with the fact that 1) their buddies are what they consider to be an "evil thing" and 2) have proven again and again that they care deeply about them and protect them right back. That won't cause cognitive dissonance for sure! (:
@naffeclipse Hi yes hello I am still SCREAMING about the newest chapter literally every time I think about it too much I have to get up and move (made drawing this a unique challenge LMAO) I need to physically shake someone about it. Finally time to drop the lie I am so not normal about this fic
Lines in the first panel:
"Speak no more."
"It looks just fine to me."
You've never detected an entity this strong before.
He stays back as you flick holy water throughout the rooms.
[...] a pitch black flat face, circled by deep blue and blood red jutting angles [...]
"I don't know what you got in you that keeps setting off my equipment, but it is strong."
Its remaining three eyes aren't upon you but on something above you.
"They don't think, they don't feel. They exist to terrorize and torment."
"I think you scared it."
"We are scarier than it."
Somehow, he closed the gap between the two of you in a moment.
[...] nothing short of another threat could make it give pause [...]
Second panel:
You're grateful Moon is here with you.
"Breathe," he says, warm as sunshine, calm as the new day.
Moon lifts you off the ground, clutching you close around the waist.
Moon's optics frantically flick to you, wide in alarm.
You are first aware of cool fingertips stroking the top of your hair.
"We will stay with you," he murmurs in a tender tone that makes your heart swell.
[...] your electronically recorded gasp causes Sun to bristle.
[...] expose your shoulder to Sun, who makes a rather deep, unpleasant noise when you both find angry red marks [...]
You have each other. You're not losing that.
"I assure you, little hunter, I'm not leaving your side."
[...] kept anchored by the safety of Sun's hand.
[...] you squint to make out Moon at your backside, holding you close.
"You take care of the scary things."
"You won't be near us."
By the glow of his eyes, he almost seems to admire you.
Sun presses you to his chassis.
"We, and our soot, are at your mercy, little hunter."
It certainly wouldn't have lent a hand in taking down another cryptid.
[...] he flings it away from you.
Well, the slightest bit of intrigue, or is it confusion?
"You're hurt."
Because of him, you raise your voice.
He taps once. "You have a dauntless heart."
"We must come with you."
"That's what we adore about you."
"You kept me safe," Moon says softly.

What's one hobby you have that you'd recommend other people try?
Oh I have so many this is hard to answer.... I think maybe just simple hand sewing skills? Just because a lot of it is really easy once you get the hang of it, and it's incredibly useful and multi purpose. You can make new stuff or save your old favorite things! I love mending my clothes a lot (saves money in the long run and saves me the heart ache), and there's plenty of different kinds of hand sewing skills you can learn depending on what you need them for. I recently even learned scotch darning to save my favorite sweater!
(Sewing is probably my oldest hobby too? I remember being very little and denied real sewing needles so I made my own out of Christmas ornament hooks and fixed my brother's stuffies with them and made my stuffies clothes. I got my needles not long afterwards.)
I prefer visible mending for most of my things, but I practice making it unnoticeable too. I've fixed bedspreads, clothes, bags, and all sorts of things! I've also made new clothes and other trinkets out of scrap material, and decorated things too! (<- personally obsessed with patch work things lmao.)
Admittedly if you get into sewing as a major hobby a sewing machine is very helpful, but I still prefer hand sewing where I can bc I find the machine to be a little stressful. I usually use mine on bigger projects to save time, but I mainly hand sew.
Also I know you quilt so I dunno if that was the answer you were looking for lol... I don't know much about quilting but it is still sewing, and really cool to me. (Long arms look terrifying to me however.) But yeah knowing how to sew by hand is really helpful and fun! It's relaxing for me when I have the energy to focus and feels fulfilling. Even if it's not a good hobby for everyone, if it's a skill you're capable of learning, it's very useful.

Heart bites people when he's angry
(I'm often seen as the "depressed silly child" of our system, even though I'm the most violent, so I relate to heart, and I bite the others (because I'm small and weak and defenseless), so I feel like he would too.)
Sorry this is kind long
Also you might've done this before I'm not sure

Opinions on Dream? :^
SO many feelings about him omgg rant under cut please forgive me
okay so i don't really talk or draw him much cause honestly,,,most of the times i just think he's a bit....boring? or more accurately plain? not in a mean way either but just in a 'fades into the background' type of way like don't get me wrong!! he's a really nice friend to his peers, his feelings about his powers and aura making his relationships harder to navigate and trust along with his whole conflict with nightmare and morality about what's good and bad IS very cool!! and i love it whenever they write him to be complex and not on this black and white mentality or when he's just straight up following along his friends with no free will or with a dubious purpose without ever addressing his issues or feelings! it's just unsatisfying to me :')
or when they're making him the 'naive' and oblivious, (sometimes childish?) character being marked as the obstacle and villain along with the other star sanses from the fic's pov, always talking about doing good things while fighting his brother and not hearing him out about the balance, (and for weak reasons most of the time. like it's been so long and you STILL haven't sat down with him when he's, generally, basically begged you to just have a talk? guys please :'( ) or when they go for the victim sad dream always missing the old nightmare, where corrupted nightmare is the incarnation of evil, with no sympathy or emotion except anger and sadistic glee, killing and hurting everyone and dream's just trying to protect the multiverse and dream's always been in the right. such extremes!!!
LIKE!! i hope i'm not the only one that thinks a 500+ year old should have had enough time to idk. learn things? about people and manipulation and deceit? after knowing what the villagers did to night? about the bad things in the world and how there's a lot of grey areas in life and that he maybe reflected on his past enough to process and ask himself if there should to be a convo to settle his differences with nightmare (and you can make nightmare the stubborn one too! or have them BOTH be petty and imperfect and have some things wrong and some right at the same time like why do i always see the good guy vs bad guy cliché with these two when they're the perfect example of why positivity doesn't have meaning without the negativity!! as long as there's a satisfying evolution or growth that doesn't leave me empty i'm good yknow?)
plus i believe dream really isn't as dumb as people view him. i do get some of you saying he probably can't read or write since that's actually a pretty interesting idea to explore! but in general please let him have emotions other than pure sunshiny happiness or endless sadness like he's gotta have more depth than that! let him make mistakes, have flaws that don't just make him the bad guy that's always in the wrong by default, and be angry or suspicious or jealous or bitter or battling his mental health problems/depression or malicious or smart or witty or mischievous and silly or sarcastic or ANYTHING dude i just want him to be put into different scenarios where he can be serious or lighthearted like it doesn't even have to be long or perfect but make him feel real.
it could definitely be that i don't read or see much art about dream or really look for it hard enough but also i just. i feel bad for even saying this fr and i wanna be honest about why i don't enjoy most stories about him cause he always gets the worst treatment along with ink!!! especially ink omg the poor guy has it the worst i think like wow do they mess him up :'(
always one dimensional in non shippy fics, or too plain or easily replaceable by other, more entertaining people in the significant other's life in most of his ships like man. i have read fics out there that made me genuinely FEEL and root for him and love his character so much it restored all hope for me!!! but i can only name one on top of my head and the others? it's been so long i don't even remember their names i just legit feel terrible cause i love him still and i can't find many headcanons that fit my interpretation of him yknow?
not to say people who write him very happy, mislead or sad are ruining him like that's silly- if i see something i don't like i just. move on bro i wouldn't force people to feel or think the same way i do about him cause anyone can have whatever headcanons they want!!! just talking about what i personally look for in him and why i can't exactly find it since most of the stuff out there just isn't my cup of tea :')
hopefully i didn't set anyone off with this rambling opinionated essay i just pulled hhh xD i know i know he's a popular character and i know a lot of people like dream so *sobs* please please recommend me artists and fics about him that you think is good it's been so looong since i've read or seen anything new that makes me attached to this little guy aughg<33333

One of my pet peeves is when Americans contextualise distinctly non-American media as if it were American. (Wow I said America a lot)
On one hand, I understand why, as it is their culture, politics, experience, etc. And the Americanised internet adds to it. But on the other hand, sometime its almost as if they're trying so hard to remove it from its original context and refuse to learn about anything that goes beyond their scope of politics.
One example of this is when DHMIS Wake Wakey trailer came out and certain people* were saying it was a commentary on Donald Trump. Like, ah yes, the British show made by two British creators who have historically made commentary on British media and politics want to talk about Donald Trump specifically and not the UK's issue of becoming increasingly right winged, conservative, and a survailence state. I'm sure the trailer which showed several security cameras, people being locked out of their homes, and keys and locks had nothing to do with London's ever increasing survailence and the most interesting parallel to draw here was that the duck resembled Donald Trump (and not every other right winged politician in general.)
