Imagine if the GIW started gunning for Jason without the Batfam ever meeting Phantom. Like, Bruce has to figure out on his own that the guys in white suits with Lazarus guns are 1. a legitimate government agency, and 2. are perfectly within their rights to hunt Jason like an animal, because 3. there's secret government legislation that says that since Jason's body processes ectaplasm, he's classified as non-sapient and has no legal protections.
Bruce calling up Clark like
Bruce: I am currently in the process of breaking into a government facility in order to dismantle their operations.
Clark: Okay? Do you need... help?
Bruce: Yes.
Clark: Sure, I'll be right there.
Bruce: Not that kind of help. Oracle is sending you the files now. I'd like you and Ms. Lane to make these people wish they were never born.
Clark: [speed-reading the documents] Oh yeah, can do. This is truly disgusting. If the public is half as outraged as I am, we'll get this sorted as fast as the courts can manage.
So Clark Kent acts as a whistle-blower, the Justice League publicly condems the Anti-Ecto Acts as inhumane, the GIW is disbanded, and Batman gets pardoned for all of those crimes that he technically did by assaulting federal agents. And after all that gets sorted, some white haired kid pops up in the Watchtower like "haha thanks for that I really didn't want a war between Earth and the Infinite Realms" and the League are like "wait what"

If you had the opportunity to have some voice actors casted for your iterations of Lois, Clark, Jimmy, Connor, Lex, Livewire, Rudy, and Brainiac (Basically the superman characters you've remixed so far) who would be perfect casting for each?
OOH YES here's some fancasts for my remix:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
David Corenswet as Clark Kent! This is a really hard pick for me, I'm attached to Tim Daly's STAS voice for him but if I had to pick someone younger I guess this David Corenswet guy from the upcoming film looks pretty good? At least from clips I've seen of him he's got a good voice.
Brianne Tju as Lois Liando! She's a Chinese Indonesian actress and while she's young I think she's got the range. I'd love to see her twist on Dana Delaney's STAS performance because Delaney's got a fantastic hardened sassy woman voice. Tju's voice sounds great in this interview.
Haley Tju as Lucy Lane! Brianne has a sister which is PERFECT for Lois' sister Lucy! I heard Hayley's voice in Arlo the Alligator Boy as the tiger cat character and I think she sounds neat.
Michael J Woodard as Jimmy Olsen! Similarly as Haley I heard Woodard's voice on Arlo the Alligator Boy, he's the lead there as Arlo. His voice is high energy and fun! Plus he can SING which is great because I imagine Jimmy as a jack of all trades artist and shenanigans coupled with musical numbers would be perfection.
Dave Fennoy as Lex Luthor! This is locked and loaded for me. It frustrates me that no one has seen the vision here. This is the second coming of STAS Lex but BETTER. Just!! Listen to him as Bluebeard from the Wolf Among Us. This is phenomenal, the perfect voice already exists.
Toks Olagundoye as Lena Luthor! She's voiced Martha Wayne in Batman Unburied, and Cat Grant in Reign of Supermen among many roles. She'd bring the elegance Lena would need. I love her accent,,,
Donald Glover as Conner Kent/Luthor! Granted I would love a teen that can bring what he brought to Marshall Lee on Adventure Time but that performance is the Conner energy I want.
Gr33dyjay/Jhas Ean Prescott Corbitt as Rudy Jones/Parasite! While I love the Brion James' STAS voice for Parasite, I have become attached to Gr33dyjay's take on my version of Parasite. If you can bring a performance that can make me laugh like that, you're golden. If he brought just a bit of New York accent into it, even better.
ProZD/Sungwon Cho and Ellen McLain as Brainiac! I want these two to talk interchangeably and in synchronization for Brainiac. Cho serving Brau1589 realness and McLain bringing the GlaDOS good stuff. Heaven would open its gates if we ever heard a Brainiac voice like this, I believe that.
Nicole Sullivan as Livewire! This one is so, so difficult because the original Lori Petty voice for Livewire is essentially perfection. I think future takes need to find a distinct and youtuber bombastic charismatic voice for making a potentially unlikeable character fun to watch. Sullivan famously voices Shego on Kim Possible, and I think her voice has the uniqueness and sass that could revitalize Livewire. She just needs to do a version of the accent and energy.
AJ Michalka as Kara Zor El! I know Michalka's voice as Stevonnie on Steven Universe and Catra from She-Ra. I like her performance in both, it stands out and the lil rasp in her voice adds something. That gives Kara that kind of jaded world weary but still young voice. I know I haven't drawn Supergirl yet, but I've got plans.
Thanks for this ask! While I'm not familiar with tinsel town people in general, this was like a fun scavenger hunt, haha.

Yandere werewolf clark Kent x fem reader (vampire au)
Tumblr media
( English is not my first language so I apologize for any mistakes in the following text.)
(This fic is one of the multiple choices of this post)
Summary: Your life finally changes for the better…
Tw: mentions of pregnancy, labor and death
With a final cry of agony suddenly the immense pain left you, letting your sweat-covered body fall onto the damp sheets. You were nauseous and the dizziness made the world circle around you, you had finally passed it without dying! The realization made you let out a sigh of relief as you panted for air, your senses coming back to you as your body calmed down from the harsh labor.
The sound of your baby's cry hit your ears as soon as the storm inside you calmed down; making you gather the leftovers of your energy so you could lift your head. Your blurry vision caught the silhouette of Martha, your baby's grandmother who was wrapping the baby in a towel making you smile. The smell of blood filled your nostrils, making you realize what you had laid upon at the moment, but you couldn't move away from the dirty sheets, you had lost all of your power trying your best to survive giving birth to a baby that Martha had called "too big, just like its father" when you had let her examine your belly at your last month of pregnancy.
You could hear people around you whisper as they moved around, the cheering sound of the crowd outside the cottage reaching to you. "It's a boy!" You could recognize Kara's voice as she happily told the crowd, that the fact that more than hundreds of people were after knowing you were giving birth to their leader's child, waiting for hours outside of your home was not a concern for you, all you were thinking was water, your throat was dry because of the constant screaming, but you had to wait to earn a sip of it.
"There there Y/N..." Karen's voice made you turn your head to her as she touched your arm, gently picking you up by putting her hands behind your knees and back, making you wince as pain rushed into your body. "Shhh! It's over now! It's over!" She cooed as she put you down on the clean sheets, letting you rest as she and Martha started to wipe down the blood and other fluids off of your body.
.....
Some time passed and you were drifting to sleep when you felt Martha's gentle voice "Don't you want to see your son?" You hummed in her response as you opened your eyes, trying to sit straight despite the pain, the placenta just had come out of your body and it was hard to move around with your muscles sore. With some help from Kara, you sat in a more straight position as Martha handed you your baby, helping you adjust your hands right so you could keep the heavy boy in your arms.
"He's heavy!" You said as you looked down at him, the boy yawning as you talked. He had such fair skin for a baby, his little fist poking out of the blanket that he was wrapped into. Others chuckled at hearing that. "I'd told you, honey! He is a big boy...just like his father!" The mentioning of the father made your smile falter, you had expected him to be there, but was not, which made you sad. But if it labor was done he was going to come back soon, the others must have taken him away to hunt so he was not there when you were in agony, they knew Clark would interfere if he was there, the guy had such a soft spot for you.
You gently touched the black locks of hair on your son's head as you sighed, not believing that you had given birth to a person, all those months of pregnancy still felt unreal. "How did he fit in there?" Kara asked and made the other ladies in the room laugh at her question. "That's a mystery!" One of the ladies said, "You'll find out when you become a mother one day!" Another one said making Kara make a face. "Oh no thank you I don't need a baby! I just needed to see how hard it's to give birth and by watching Y/N I can say I'm not going to ever think about having a baby of my own!" This made the ladies laugh even louder, only to be shushed by Martha "Shh! Don't you see the baby is sleeping? Y/N is tired too!"
You smiled at your mother-in-law's concern, she always had treated you well. Since the time you were found in the woods by his son, Clark, covered in wounds and nearly dying, Martha had treated you like a part of her family. If it was not for her kindness, other women in the pack wouldn't have warmed up to you, casting you out. "So what is the name of this big boy?" Karen said as she sat next to you, brushing your hair out of the way with her hand. You chuckled, leaning to her, your husband's cousin Karen was more like a sister to you now. You shrugged at her question, making her frown. "You mean you and that big bear haven't thought of anything?" "Well Clark had said he wanted to name the baby after his father...so I think it would be Jonathan..." you said making Karen smile, pleasing your mate's family was the best strategy, you had learned this through the years you had lived as a normal human in the pack.
You leaned back to the pillows as you groaned, letting some of the baby's weight rest on your chest. You were thankful to the old gods, that your situation as the Alpha's mate was secure now that you had given birth to an heir, and no one dared to even question your place. When you had run away from the piercing bullets of your master's guards you had thought of many scenarios for your future but this.
After your resistance to the new masters' invitations, you were immediately thrown into one of the dark rooms of your master's mansion, where he'd punish you severely. But Rosie and Jacob had helped you run away, well partly, because one of the maids had told your master about your friends' plan and when they were helping you go off of the tall walls of your master's residence, they were both shot and killed by the guards, and if you hadn't had fallen and ran away into the woods quickly, you'd get shot as well.
It was not easy for you to move on when you knew people of the town near the mansion and your master's men were after you, and your friends' death were adding to your trauma. But you had managed to run a few good miles before the sun went down, but the experience you had with the monsters roaming the fields was not that great. Three days and nights of a nightmarish trip were needed for you to get into the eastern forest, where the largest werewolf pack of the dark lands lived. You were not aware of that though, you were just running away from your master, and without any food or water, wounded by the monsters, you had collapsed onto the forest's ground thinking that it was your end. But the gods had other plans for you.
You were found by none other than the alpha of the pack himself, Clark Kent, the mighty werewolf and the ultimate alpha of the east. He had helped you by taking you in, letting his mother take care of you. You had heard werewolves were extremely hostile to outsiders but Clark and his family were genuinely nice. But nothing good came without a price. Clark was interested in you, his mother had told you so many times, that you were the most beautiful woman in his pack to him, which was a pretty good compliment, the pack was filled with capable and wonderful ladies and he had chosen you! To him you were smart and even though you were weak for hunting or fighting, you were useful at helping the women of the pack.
Clark was a kind man, a wise leader, and a good son to his family. Though his feud with the vampires in the capital made him turn ruthless when he faced his enemies. At one point, when your wounds were healed and you were strong enough to leave the pack, you had to decide to stay or leave. If you left you had zero chance of survival and if you stayed, you had to be a member of the pack, either by turning or marriage. And since you didn't want to die, you gave in and accepted Clark's courting gifts.
It all started with little gifts, like treats or clothes, then when you progressed through the process the gifts turned into stuff that showed how much he was capable of providing for his family and soon-to-be mate. He built a cottage on his own, he brought large beasts that he had hunted down by empty hand, and he'd help you in chores as the gifts turned into acts of service or help to show what a capable mate he was. And at a full moon's night, you finally decided to give him the answer, yes, making Clark happy. But you didn't realize the danger of your decision.
From the moment you were marked no one but his family was allowed to touch you, anyone's scent but his family's and his was a red flag for Clark, and he dealt with red flags very harshly. You couldn't be on your own when you were outside and if you were going to leave without telling anyone you'd be punished by staying in the cottage, where the judging looks of other women and Clark's family were on you all the time. A human was truly accepted when they had proven themselves to the pack either by creating new members or joining in as werewolves, and you were stressed out by the fact that you had to have a child soon or your situation would get worse.
Clark was oblivious to all of that, as a mate he was too delusional, thinking you were still timid around him. He was a large man, who towered over the tallest of his pack's members, so maybe it was why you hid in his mother's house? Surely it was not because you were afraid of him right? Clark was big at everything and as a mere human, you were afraid that when he was getting into the mating season you wouldn't survive to see the end of it. But your opinions were ignored when you were pushed into having Clark's child. Clark had proved that you were at the end of your mate's and his family's chain of importance when it came to having opinions of your own, countless times.
And now you were having his child in your arms, free of the weight of the baby and his movements in your womb. Suddenly the door of the cottage was slammed open as Clark walked in, his eyes wide, searching around to find you and his child resting in the living room. He had moved the bed into the larger space in the last weeks of your pregnancy due to his mother's advice who was aware of the fact that your labor needed the help of so many people who couldn't walk around in the bedroom freely. You smiled at him as you moved Jonathan in your arms, hearing his heavy steps as he walked to you two. He knelt next to you as he watched you closely, looking for any sign of discomfort in your features, his brows furrowed in worry. Your smile grew wider when you noticed his worry, giving him a reassuring nod before whispering "Meet little Jonathan!".  Clark's eyes gleamed at hearing the name, pleased that you had chosen his father's name for your son.
He looked down at the baby in your arms, rubbing his cheek with the back of his large fingers. "Hello little guy..." he said, his voice filled with glee. He then frowned slightly, making you let out a questioning hum. "Why is he so big?" The ladies in the room burst into laughter at hearing that. "It's your son dummy! He has his father's blood!" Kara said as she smacked Clark's shoulder. Jonathan jolted slightly at the sudden noise and opened his eyes, looking up at you two. Clark got worried that he might start crying but the boy just stared at his father before yawning, opening his small mouth to the fullest extent. "Look at you little champ...your mom did all the work and you are the one yawning?" You chuckled at Clark who talked to the baby with a serious face.
The voice of your laughter made him turn to you again. "Thank you beloved..." he said as his blue eyes looked into yours. He leaned in and kissed your lips passionately. "Oi! Keep that stuff to yourself, people are watching!" Karen said, making Clark pull away quickly and clear his throat and start to thank the ladies for their help like nothing had happened. You looked down at your son once more, as you pondered to yourself. Your fate could be worse, but now you were in a warm bed, holding your baby, instead of the cold embrace of a grave. you hoped Rosie and Jacob were happy as they watched you from above.

ELI’S PARENTS ARE DEREK AND STILES
YES I WILL ELABORATE. So I basically formed this crack theory up during the middle of the movie and in the midst of texting my cousin my on-air reaction.
Also, I'm not the biggest fan of mpreg, to each their own but I'd rather not have that be the explanation. So instead of that here's a tale of a clone baby inspired by Superboy, the love child between Lex Luthor and Clark Kent (specifically a one-sided not-so-love child)
Eli is the biological child of Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski. How? Let’s discus:
- Five years after the events of S6 (four years after Allison’s death), Derek manages to get himself kidnapped yet again.
- It’s not surprising, it happens like once a season.
- This time it’s a Dread Doctor that took him. It’s said that the Beast fatally mauled them all, but for these purposes I’m going to have the Geneticist survive.
- (if you didn’t know it, the Geneticist was female) Over the years she’s been repairing herself and nursing herself back to her previous conditions. Now without the other doctors, she’s on her own and while she wants to continue her experiments and push the boundaries of science and alchemy even further, she also wanted revenge. The Beast was supposed to be their masterpiece but these teenagers destroyed everything they had worked for. She wouldn’t have care that much usually, the Beast was always the Surgeon’s obsession. But still, they belittled all of them, two of them dead, one barely alive, and all their experiments gone and demolished.
- She needed to start from scratch. Begin again and bring back the meaning of dread in Dread Doctor. But she’d require new specimens to work off of.
- Werewolves were always unusually loyal to their pack. And she’d need muscle, so she started with that. But she didn’t just want any werewolf, she wanted a prime specimen from one of the oldest families with the affliction. Scott McCall might’ve been a True Alpha, but he was a bitten rarity, something that all three doctors agreed wouldn’t be possible to replicate. Still, he was no Hale. Hale’s had gone back hundreds of years. The only family capable of shifting into an actual wolf. And now her options were limited thanks to that horribly intrusive werewolf hunting family.
- Peter Hale, nowhere to be found. Though not a prime subject, his wolf form was more beast than animal. And, as records show, he had been killed before and brought back which depleted his abilities. UNSUITABLE
- Malia Hale, also difficult in locating but not impossible. Last seen, helping the McCall Pack against hunters near the Sierra Forest, Ca. Capable of shifting into a coyote but that is not the intended target. Her coyote DNA could infect the entire experiment. The Doctor required loyalty, coyote’s weren’t exactly famous for it. UNSUITABLE.
- Cora Hale, last scene traveling in South America and heading North to cross the border to meet with her older brother. While a prime target, she hasn’t achieved her evolved shifting quite like her older brother has. Too far to locate but the only other specimen that was a probability. TBD.
- Derek Hale, traveling with Scott McCall and the rest of the McCall Pack. Currently in an on-going fight against hunters that left Beacon Hills to finish them off. And the only Hale alive capable of shifting into a wolf. SUITABLE.
- She decides to go with Derek Hale.
- She kidnaps him.
- He’s missing for a few weeks before his friends find a way to locate him. I’ll come up with that later.
- During that time she figures out she can’t just grow a new copy from just his set of DNA, she needs two sets, as that’s what builds a person or whatever, to be honest I’m going off Superboy logic just like how Lex Luthor grew a baby with Superman bc he had a crush on Clark.
- She decides to use a human’s DNA as it will balance out the wolf genes. She can’t use her own, it’s effed up over the years. Besides, someone’s tripped her silent alarms that lead to her secret lab.
- It’s two of McCall’s pack members, the human and the beta. She knocks them out fast, the beta took more work whilst the human ran to find the Hale. She knocked him out too. As she’s chaining them up she realizes that a viable human subject has just delivered itself to her doorstep.
- She takes Stiles’ DNA.
- Once she’s done with that, the rest of the pack show up and she’s outnumbered. She grabs her equipment, including both DNA specimens she took from the men and bolts.
- It takes her a year of experimentations and botched results but she was finally growing her Hale specimen. She made sure to age up the child so as to not deal with an infant.
- The experiment took that year to fully grow and look like the age of a ten year old child. The perfect age to adapt and be impressionable upon, but not so young he’d be traumatized for the rest of his life.
- He escaped the second he could. He couldn’t explain why, he could smell it in the air, something was wrong with whoever that thing— person was.
- He has two sets of DNA in him, that came with some unintentionally leftover memories in his head. He found himself in Beacon Hills. Something about it seemed so familiar but it also… pulling at him somewhat.
- He found what remained of the Hale House.
- He visited the high school and narrowly escaped from questioning and curious adults about a random 10 year old.
- It wasn’t long before a Sheriff’s Deputy found him when he stole food from a food truck.
- He refused to say a word. And then he met the Sheriff.
- He was easy to talk to, he felt like he could trust him, and then he told him about what he remembered- about where he came from. He told him about the Hale memories in his head and the Sheriff thought it best to call the only Hale who could handle this.
that’s all i got so far but i’ll get into him meeting Derek (and Stiles) at some point. any thoughts? any ideas? feel free!

Poly!Lacho x GN!Reader ~ Enemy Within Pt. 2
Tumblr media
A/N: This is to go along with this pitch I made, along with part 1 of this fic. I may or may not be writing this before part 1 is even released bc I want to write a part 2 so bad. SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG THE LATTER HALF HAD ME UPSET BUT I REALLY LIKE IT NOW.
Prompt: Lacho (Lalo x Nacho) x Reader where Lalo & Nacho live in a big home & eventually the reader either stays the night or ends up living with them. This is in the time when Lalo & Gus are going head to head & thanks to Mike, Gus knows about the reader. Gus orders his men to kidnap the reader, beat them up, then frees them & pretends to be a good samaritan that saves them & brings them home to Lalo & Nacho. Gus uses this to get into Lalo & Nacho's home to find out their plans & Lalo & Nacho, who haven't told the reader about their business, are freaking out that Gus is now basically the reader's best friend. ~ Yours Truly
Contains: Violence (Silly little cartel boys get revenge for you), Derogatory terms (Slut), Homophobia/Prejudice Against Polyamory, Guns, Bolsa being a mean man (LMAO)
Word Count: 4198
Part 1 | [Part 2]
Lalo gave his husband a quick nod before watching the two leave towards the bedroom upstairs. He placed his hand on his gun as he turned back to Gus.
"You know you can't kill me, Lalo," Gus spoke as he fixed his posture, the bloody nose finally drying up, "Don Eladio would never forgive you."
Lalo pulled out his phone & dialed a number, the angry expression never leaving his face, "Bolsa, I'd like to meet up with Eladio as soon as possible. I know we were just there but, we have a... problem with one of his favorite men. I thought it would be best if we met in person."
Lalo hung up & placed the phone in his back pocket.
"You're lucky you have the chance to walk out of here alive. Just know that if you so much as look at my partner ever again, I will torture you for the rest of your life & never give you the satisfaction of death."
"Well, Y/N has my number. If they decide to contact me that's not my fault. I just want to make sure they'll recover smoothly after all of that. Maybe we'll become good friends!" Gus' cheery tone returned.
"Get. Out. Of. My. House!" Lalo spoke through gritted teeth.
"Seems like I should see myself out. Nice to meet you, Mr. Salamanca," Fring held out his hand, clearly relishing in the fact that he was torturing his enemy.
"Last chance before I shoot you right here, Fring."
Gus took the hint & finally turned towards the door. Lalo wished he could shoot him in the back of the head right there. After Fring left, Lalo locked the door behind him. He pulled out his phone once more & called for more men to be sent to his house. He walked along the inside perimeter of the house making sure everything was locked. Once he was done he walked up to the bedroom. Ignacio was laying on the side of the bed with your arms & legs wrapped around him, you were out cold.
"Are they feeling better?" Lalo asked softly, noticing that his husband refused to look at him, "I'm sorry, mi corazón. I could not have known this would happen."
Ignacio glared at his husband through his eyebrows. Lalo could have known because he was constantly telling him it would happen. He let his mind wander as he looked up at the ceiling. Sleeping was going to be impossible for those two, if you weren't so drained you'd be up with them. Lalo sat in the chair by the bed & placed his gun on the armrest. He would not sleep until his men were there to watch over you. Then again he had a lot to think about, the methods he'd use to break each bone in the body of the man that hurt you.
"Brian Clarke," Lalo thought aloud, gaining the attention of his husband, "Clarke with an e at the end. Brian... Clarke."
Once his men arrived he met them outside, ordering two of them to hunt down your assailant while the others patrolled the house. Finally, Lalo had a chance to relax. He made his way back to the bedroom & got in bed. He turned over, looking at you, & felt guilt wash over him once more. Now that he wasn't protecting you or enraged at Gus, he was just disappointed with himself. He lied to Ignacio & put you in danger, to be fair he didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to cross him. He should've accounted for Gus' unpredictability.
That morning Ignacio was shaken awake by his husband who wore a bright smile considering what happened last night. Ignacio gave Lalo a confused & heavily tired look.
"We got him," Lalo dragged out his words, cheer filling his tone.
"Who?" Ignacio's brow furrowed, "Fring?"
Lalo stepped back & used his hands to talk, "No, no. Not yet! Brian Clarke, the man who hurt Y/N!"
Ignacio shushed his husband & looked down at you, sleeping as peacefully as you could with such injuries. Without a second thought, anger took over & he held eye contact with Lalo.
"Make him suffer."
"You don't want to come with me? A little husband-husband bonding," he teased.
"I'm not leaving Y/N alone ever again," Ignacio ran his hand through your hair, causing your unconscious form to slightly tighten your grip around his midsection.
Lalo felt his smile falter but hid it by lightly hitting Ignacio's arm, "Hey, I'll have my fun then you can take your turn."
Ignacio barely processed that his husband was talking, gritting his teeth & imagining breaking the man's spirit, "I want to go first. Stay with Y/N."
Lalo felt like a schoolgirl watching Ignacio climb out of bed, his fists clenched (Lalo: "That is the hottest thing you've ever said" LMAO). Before Ignacio could make it out Lalo pulled him close & gave him a long kiss, pulling Ignacio as close to him as he possibly could. As much as Ignacio wanted to still be upset with Lalo, he couldn't help but melt in his husband's grasp.
"Make him wish he never laid eyes on our querida, mi corazón (darling, my heart)," Lalo spoke as he pulled away from the kiss.
As Ignacio left, Lalo heard you mumbling in your sleep. He quickly climbed into bed with you & wrapped your limbs around him. He leaned back & pulled out his phone, connecting to a nanny cam that was installed in the basement. Pulling out headphones & putting one in his ear, he waited for his husband to walk down the stairs.
Ignacio entered Lalo's study & closed the doors, making sure no one could see what he was doing. In typical Lalo fashion, he created a secret door & basement. Initially, it was so he couldn't be caught by police but it helped keep their business from you as well. Ignacio hit a hidden button & the door slid open. He took a deep breath & walked slowly down the stairs, Brian's pleads became audible quickly.
"Where am I? You've got the wrong guy!"
"I don't think I do, Brian. Your boss sold you out. You picked the wrong side," Ignacio taunted the man who was chained to a wall.
Brian's skin went pale, he recognized his captor even in the dim, red light.
"Ignacio Varga," he breathed out.
Ignacio grabbed a cigar cutter from the table & brought it up to the man, ignoring his pleas. He cut the man's pointer finger clean off, relishing the screams of pain the man let out.
"Only people I love can call me Ignacio," he began while holding up the cigar cutter once more, "Speaking of people I love, I believe you know why you're here."
The man was full-on crying now, amusing Ignacio, "It was just a job, I didn't know they were important to you."
"I don't like liars, Brian," Ignacio spoke before cutting another finger off.
"Fine! I knew who they were! It's a job though, I can't just say no. I have to do what I'm paid for!"
"Torturing innocent people, that's what you're paid to do?"
This man was in so much pain he didn't even consider watching his words, "They can't be innocent, they're dating you & Lalo Salamanca! They're just as bad as you!"
Lalo, who was watching with a bright smile on his face, whispered to himself, "Ohoho, you've just sealed your fate, Bryito."
Lalo felt you moving under him & quickly closed his phone, slightly sad he wouldn't be able to watch his husband's rage live. He looked down at you to see you slowly pushing yourself up, arms shaking.
"No, no, no, querida! Don't overwork yourself," Lalo spoke quickly trying to awkwardly lift some of your body weight for you.
You were initially surprised by the fact that you were no longer laying on Ignacio's chest, but you were happy to have some alone time with your other partner now, "I'm fine, Lalo. I'm just getting up."
Your statement was immediately followed by a wince & Lalo no longer allowed you to move on your own, pulling you up to lay on his chest. You laughed at the fact that he could heft you around like nothing.
"You should take the pain meds, querida."
"You're right, I need food then. Guess we have to get up," you teased causing your to partner smile.
"Fine, fine. But if you get in any pain I will find a way to carry you!"
The two of you made your way downstairs & into the kitchen, Lalo ghosting a protective arm around your waist. He directed you to sit at the table while he made breakfast. Lalo turned on some music & sung along with it while putting on his apron.
"Where's Ignacio?" you asked, making Lalo's eyes widen a hopefully unnoticeable amount.
"Oh, he went to the gym, he had to get some frustration out. I'll text him to find out when he's coming back."
Lalo Salamanca: Y/N & I are in the kitchen! When are you coming back from the gym?
Lalo waited as the meat cooked, staring at his phone hoping Ignacio understood what he meant. He tapped his foot to the beat of the music.
"Mi corazón Ignacio": Alright, I'll be home soon. I love you!
Lalo relayed the information to you & continued cooking. He took a moment to pour out a glass of water for you & set it on the table, kissing you before turning back to the stove. You almost choked on your water when you saw a man outside with a gun slung over his back. Freaking out, you didn't hear Ignacio enter the home.
"Lalo! There's- a guy!" You started hyperventilating as you jumped out of your seat, trying to run away.
Ignacio ran up & grabbed you leading you toward one of the many unassuming dressers in your home. Unbeknownst to you, a gun sat in one of the drawers.
"Is it the security?" Ignacio asked, pulling your head to his chest, which you now noticed was bare.
Lalo grabbed his hip & looked outside, one of his men. He should've relayed the fact that you now have a security detail to you earlier, he was just too distracted by all that his husband was doing in the basement.
"Sí, I'm sorry querida. I forgot to tell you I hired some extra security," Lalo spoke, lowering his hand & walking up to the two of you.
Lalo threw an arm over both yours & Ignacio's shoulders as the latter tried to bring you down from your panic. Lalo was never as good with these things as Ignacio was, so he tried his best to use his presence to offer comfort. He lightly squeezed your shoulder & placed a kiss on your cheek.
"Everything is okay, ángel, you heard what Lalo said."
Once you managed to calm down, the two led you back to the kitchen. Lalo returned to cooking while Ignacio sat across from you holding your hand. A bit later, Lalo placed plates full of food in front of you & Ignacio before sitting down with his own. You ate in peaceful silence for a while before a ping rang from your phone, more so catching Lalo's attention than anyone else. Your phone was in the living room & you didn't care enough to get it, not voicing your opinion, instead just chowing down on the amazing breakfast.
"Lalo, your cooking is always so amazing," you complimented.
"Thank you, querida," his mind was far away.
A second ping hit your phone & Lalo stood up believing the pings to be texts from Gus. He walked off into the living room & grabbed your phone, false alarm, emails. He brought your phone back with him & set it on the table.
"You have some emails from work," Lalo handed you your phone & sat back down.
You let go of Ignacio's hand to reply to your boss, Ignacio's eyes flitted up towards you & stayed locked on your face. He felt an extreme need to always see you or feel you, likely fuelled by the guilt of letting you get hurt. He wasn't even eating at this point, just staring.
"How was the gym, Ignacio?"
He didn't even turn to face Lalo, "It was good, I feel a bit better now."
You looked up to meet Ignacio's eyes, "Oh yeah, you went to the gym. Do you need a shirt or do you just want to sit there shirtless & looking pretty?"
Ignacio's eyes softened & he gave you a soft smile. Lalo let out a chuckle, "What, you don't like what you see? Close your eyes then because I do!"
You & Ignacio erupted into laughter & life felt normal again. Your phone began to ring & you stood up slowly, walking into the other room to take the call. Lalo didn't question it, trying not to be paranoid for five seconds & Ignacio kept an eye on you still, scooting his chair a little bit to keep you in view. Ignacio subconsciously tightened his grip on the knife that he was using to cut his food.
"Hello? Oh hi, great to hear from you again. Yeah, I'm good. I'm in a lot less pain than yesterday but it's still rough," after another pause you turned to look into the kitchen, "Can we have Gus over for lunch?"
Lalo turned to look at Ignacio, "Oh, well- I was thinking we should, erm- go visit the doctor to see what we can do to help you recover?"
You paused for a moment, listening to Gus, "Gus asks if dinner is okay?"
"Querida, I-" Lalo wanted to protest but you looked so innocent & he feared saying no would hurt your feelings, "Yeah, that's fine."
The hospital trip only amounted to the doctor informing you that you should stay in bed. Lalo tried to use that to convince you to rain-check your dinner but you felt indebted to Gus. As the three of you pulled into the driveway, Lalo received a phone call. He stepped out of the car & walked a bit away before answering.
"Bolsa?"
"Yes, Lalo. I got your message, would you like me to come across the border to discuss the matter with you in person?"
"Hmm, yes. Is tonight doable?"
"Yes, Lalo, but if this is another 'you not trusting Fring without a fraction of evidence' then I will take it up with Eladio."
"Of course, Bolsa. I have reason this time, my uncle has no influence in my decision."
"Alright, I will head to you now."
Lalo couldn't help but be happy now with the fact that Gus was coming over, ensnaring himself in a trap of Lalo's own design. He walked inside to find that you & Nacho had already gone upstairs, likely to cuddle. He decided to get some extra work in with your friend in the basement. He entered his study, opened the door, & made his way downstairs. Brian instantly heard the footsteps.
"I've told you everything, please. I'm sorry I hurt your partner," his voice was hoarse & he barely had the strength to look up at Lalo.
"Oh no, I haven't had the chance to hear your story," Lalo grabbed a large, jagged knife off the table, "& I have a friend who would love to hear it. If you don't mind telling them, I just might let you live."
You were doing your best to help set up dinner. You were moving slow & had to take breaks but Ignacio was there to pick up where you left off each time. Lalo walked up, pulling Ignacio away from the table as he laid down utensils. He took Ignacio into the other room so you wouldn't hear him muttering something like, "Let me show you some of the current profits, tell me what you think."
You tried your best to set up the rest of the table, looking over your shoulder to see Ignacio staring at you.
"I'm fine!" You yelled, causing him to smile.
Ignacio rejoined you in setting up dinner & within minutes there was a knock at the door. You turned to get it but Lalo ran past you towards the door shouting, "Rest, querida!"
The door opened to reveal Gus with a bottle of expensive-looking wine in hand. He offered the wine to Lalo before stepping inside & heading straight to you. He attempted to sit next to you but Ignacio quickly took his spot. Lalo had already staked his claim at the head of the table, despite still cooking on the other side of the kitchen, so Gus ended up sitting across from you. Ignacio placed a tight grip on your leg to the point where your leg began to hurt.
"Ignacio- Can you," his eyes snapped to you & he loosened his grip, "I'm sorry ángel, I got lost in thought."
"About what?" You asked, trying your best to hold eye contact as your partner avoided it.
Ignacio did his best to not look back at Gus, lying to you felt so wrong but he knew it was to keep you safe, "I just wish I ended up staying here to protect you."
"That's not your fault, baby. You & Lalo had business & it's not like any of us knew I was in danger. I'm safe now because my two wonderful husbands are here to protect me," you admittedly gave a cheesy line at the end but it made Ignacio feel a bit better.
Lalo finished cooking & placed the plates down once more. He had an oddly cheery attitude while sitting next to his worst enemy. Gus noticed that instantly. He couldn't brush it off as Lalo being a good actor.
"How was your day, Gus?" You asked as you dug into your food.
"It was nice, thank you. A lot of meetings."
"Meetings for what?"
"I own a restaurant chain called Los Pollos Hermanos, I spend most of my time making sure each restaurant is up & running."
"Oh! Lalo owns some restaurants too, right Lalo!"
"Yes, querida. It sadly takes a fair amount of my time away from my partners but I do get to work with Ignacio on occasion, that's taken some of the workload off my shoulders."
"Why do you not work with Y/N," Gus struck a cord.
"Well, I-" Lalo began, being met with your immediate interjection.
"I am, in no way, capable of running a business. Thank you for the vote of confidence though, Gus."
You took another bite of your food & gave him a smile. A knock at your front door made you jump a little. Lalo jumped up & headed to the door while Ignacio grabbed your hand.
"Let's go upstairs, ángel," Ignacio nodded towards the large staircase behind him & looked a bit concerned.
"Why, we're having dinner?"
"I- just, come with me."
"O-Okay, sure I guess."
You were confused, definitely. You wouldn't admit it but you were a little scared. Ignacio sounded... unsettled for lack of a better word. You turned to see the man at the door for just a second before Ignacio drew your attention back to him. He was tall with dark hair & a fancy suit. He shook Lalo's hand with a smile.
"Please, Juan, join us in the kitchen."
By "us", Bolsa expected to see Lalo's husband, Ignacio. The fact that Lalo was married to a man became well-known quickly throughout the cartel. It would be a lie to say people took him less seriously after the wedding. You, on the other hand, were still a secret until now.
"Oh! Fring, I didn't expect you to be here," Bolsa replied to Gus' shocked look.
The three men sat at the table in silence for a moment as Lalo pulled out a folder.
"I called you here today, Juan, because Fring kidnapped my partner. I believe he was trying to take a stab at my family's business!"
"Where is Nacho now?" Bolsa asked.
"I- No, my other partner."
"Other partner?"
"Yes, Y/N, they're upstairs now but-"
"Are they actually your partner or are they some slut you hired."
Lalo stood up & slammed his fist onto the table, "Will you listen to me, Juan?!"
Silence fell over the table once more as Lalo practically threw the folder at Juan. He opened the folder to see pictures from your doctor's visit that day showcasing each & every injury you sustained. Bolsa was silent as he looked through each one.
"So you say Fring kidnapped them to undermine you?"
"Yes!"
"Then why are they alive?" Bolsa asked bluntly.
"What?" Lalo froze, this wasn't going how he planned.
"You think Fring doesn't have the resources to make someone disappear. Am I wrong to assume that it would be easy for you?" Bolsa turned to Fring.
"N-No, I have made some less than trustworthy workers disappear as you say," Gus tried to sound more innocent, a liar's tactic?
"No! He kidnapped Y/N, hurt them, then let them go to get to me! One of his men, who was involved, admitted it all to me!"
"You kidnapped one of my men?" Gus, again, feigned innocence.
"You gave me his name! You wanted me to take him!"
The group was yelling too loud to hear Ignacio calling out to you to come back. Your husband tried to grab you but you got past him & ran downstairs.
Lalo pulled out his gun & pointed it at Gus, "He hurt my partner, you can't let him get away with that!"
"Lalo?" You spoke no louder than a whisper while grabbing his arm.
Lalo didn't register your voice & threw you to the floor, pointing his gun at you. The fear in your eyes almost made him drop his gun. He quickly holstered his gun & kneeled down in front of you, you scrambled away from him.
"Querida, I-"
"I take it you haven't told them about your business," Bolsa, who was now standing, spoke down on his fellow Don with a twisted smile, "Are they really your partner if you can't trust them?"
Ignacio helped you up but you stepped away from him as well, "What are they talking about?"
Ignacio fell silent & you backed away. You felt so confused & betrayed. You were almost at the door when Ignacio spoke up.
"Gus Fring was the one that ordered your kidnapping."
"What?" You now noticed that Gus was in the room as well.
"I would never, Y/N, I did all I could to help yo-"
Lalo quickly raised his gun to point at Gus, "SHUT UP!"
Gus' hands flew to his head & you tried to protest, Lalo immediately interrupted you.
"Ignacio, take Y/N up to our room, we'll tell them everything after," his voice turned cold, "Give me five minutes."
Ignacio went to pull you into a hug but you ripped yourself away again, "You can't hurt Gus, he saved me!"
"No, Y/N, please. I'll explain it all upstairs," Ignacio tried to reason with you.
"If I go upstairs I can't guarantee Gus' safety," You turned to look at Lalo, "If you hurt him I- I'll call the police."
The sound of a gun clicking made you freeze. You didn't have to turn to know it was pointed at you.
"We can't have you doing that," Bolsa spoke, bringing the gun a little closer to your head.
Lalo turned to point his gun at Bolsa, "Don't."
"You cannot let them go to the police, if they so much as touch a phone I will shoot. We have a lot more to protect here than your marriage, Lalo. You know my job!"
"Fine! I'll go upstairs," You turned on your heel & walked right past Ignacio, who walked behind you to keep you safe.
As soon as you got upstairs you made a beeline for your room & locked yourself in before Ignacio could reach you. To say you were scared was a terrible understatement. You didn't know what was going on & all you could convince yourself was true was that you weren't making it out of here alive. Ignacio didn't try to fight you, if anyone in this godforsaken world could understand how you were feeling right now it was him. He rested his back against the door & slid to the floor with a thud, letting his head rest in his hands. There was a long period of silence.
"Àngel, I-" Another pause made your heart race, "I wish I knew what to say. I understand that this is... terrifying. We didn't want you to find out this way. Ugh, that doesn't change anything. We didn't want you to get hurt."
You didn't respond, you were genuinely afraid your husband was waiting for a chance to kill you.
"We thought keeping everything from you would keep you safe. All it did was make you an easy target. I want to tell you everything. I'll do it from behind this door if I have to but please, just tell me if you want to hear it."
You hesitated for a moment before standing up from your spot on the bed & moving to sit against the door. Your mind wouldn't let you admit it but being close to Ignacio again calmed you a bit.
You held your knees close to your chest, "Tell me everything."
A/N: So.... Part 3? :)))))

Summary: Your life finally changes for the better...

Can radiation turn you into a gay monster?
The hideous sun demon is a 1958 sci-fi horror movie but what can I say about this? Well I mean it's one of those cheesy movies you've probably seen on MST3K or Svengoolie. So what does IMDB have say for the synopsis? Well let's take a look!
"A scientist, Gilbert McKenna has an accident where he is exposed to high levels of radiation. Surprisingly this does not kill him but instead leaves him unable to be exposed to sunlight. Whenever exposed to sunlight, McKenna devolves into a lizard man with homicidal tendencies. After having a brief fling with a nightclub singer, and killing her boyfriend, McKenna is on the lam from the police which culminates in a one on one battle on top of a tower. Great monster costume and Shatner type acting from Clarke are the most memorable parts of this great 1950s creature feature."—Campbellnator
I find this synopsis interesting because for anyone who has watched the movie; it's not an accurate description. If I were to write it I think I'd say "A scientist, Gilbert McKenna has an accident where he is exposed to high levels of radiation. Surprisingly this doesn't kill him but whenever he's exposed to sunlight it causes him devolve into lizard humanoid creature. Terrifying those around him he had to remain in hiding and only come out at night. After encounters with a nightclub singer who's tied in with a monster, his exposure to the sun causes his to defend himself and kill the mobster and go on the run from the police."
Tumblr media
Now I would like to compare this movie to wolf man. Wolf man was written by German Jewish screenwriter Curtis Siodmak of polish descent that fled during the Nazi occupation of WW2. So it's very much got ties Jewish persecution, going into hiding, being hunted etc. This movie has parallels with wolf man rather in the full moon it's in the sun. He's in hiding and on the run and seen as a monster which leads me to the crux of my thesis.
Tumblr media
I think it's an allegory for being gay, so please hear me out. As you watch the movie you'll notice he goes to shady night clubs. Back in the 50s-60s gay men didn't have open options, you had to be secret and quiet. A lot of shady night clubs owned by monsters were the place to go for the queer community. His romantic interest is treated like a fling and even afterwards she acts as though he's a friend, his other lady friends are just friends he's not your typical ladies man for a 50s movie especially a B movie. Like usually for these movies it's a build up and they fall in love and it's special. Here is a strange happy accident but things go bad because of her pimp but she's like it's not like that between them? Then there is one part where he's hiding in a closet because he's ashamed of himself. There's a part where he's thinking of suicide by jumping off a cliff. For an age of the 50s when sexual freedom was still highly repressed and homosexuality was widely unexpected. This seems like it fits the stage of someone who feels like they were seen as a monster in society. I enjoyed this and found it great hopefully I can go further into depth later on.
I rate it at a sun demon out of a gay allegory, thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed.

hullo, sending an ask to take the convo out of the replies--feel free to ignore. first, i didn't know about the chicago international policy--that's fantastic to learn, so thank you! second, frankly--im with you. i understand WHY we have to charge for things like out of state, international, etc. cards (legal stuff) but i don't agree with it on a fundamental level. if you have a paypal, ko-fi, etc, im perfectly willing to send you some personal funds to help you get a library card from somewhere that charges. clarify, QPL is actually not the same system as the NYPL, so if you're looking for something specific that NYPL has i would double-check that QPL (or wherever you're looking) has what you need. US library systems are sometimes divided along arbitrary lines so it's always good to double check individual catalogs. no pressure accept of course, just thought i'd reach out. either way, know that those of us "on the ground" (as it were) absolutely DESPISE this policy, too.
Hi! omgosh that's so sweet of you to offer, thank you, but I wouldn't feel good about accepting money for something like this. Thank you so much though, it really means a lot. I've been looking at a couple of different libraries and it seems the Las Vegas Clark County Library district also has a vast collection and seemingly free (but limited) card, but their site is down right now so I can't sign up.
Also to clarify, I signed up to the Chicago Library using a random address I found online (pls don't judge me lol), so while the resident card is free and accessible, I don't actually know how it is for international residents. I've tried to do this with a couple other libraries, but most seem to demand a renewal in person (which I get but severely disadvantages me), like for example NYPL, which is only valid for 14 days.
Anyway, my library in my hometown is free, but their English collection is very limited. The local library where I live now not only costs 57 euros a year, as I mentioned, but also is not on Libby and also does not have a large English collection. My hunt is basically for a library that I can sign up for, for free, which is on Libby and has a large English collection. Kind of a lot to ask for, but it's what I need, if I want to read the books I want to read

꒰ ୨୧ ꒱ ⸝⸝ you're a coder, but what's a coder without something to code? bellamy had instructed you to keep watch of the guns and ammo instead of going out with the guard on a hunt. you feel useless to the people of arkadia, maybe bellamy could help with that. ﹒ ⊹ ⤷ cw: cursing, small kiss scene, sfw
Tumblr media
"I shouldn't be watching the guns, Bellamy!"
I shout from inside the main room where we kept the rovers. Bellamy had ordered me to stay in Arkadia while the rest of them went on a hunt, rations had grown scarce since Kane ordered the guard to go out less with the threat of grounders. This was a rare time when people got to go beyond the gate.
"We don't need a lot of people for this, okay? So just stay here." Bellamy argued back, it made sense, only a few people were going with him. Clarke, Murphy, Miller, Harper, and another from the guard. I never got around to knowing everyone's names.
I just knew I felt trapped being behind these walls, I was starting to feel useless to the people around me as well, it's not like I could code anything to help us with the grounder attacks, all I could do was sit with Monty and try to contact other stations with radios. Which always ended up in radio silence.
I could feel my blood boiling, "Well why Harper? It's not like I can't handle a gun, swap her out with me." I hadn't known Harper was leaning on a rover near Bellamy and me.
"Gee, thanks." I heard Harper chirp up in a sarcasm-filled tone. I'd have to apologize later, she knows I didn't mean it.
Bellamy sighed and placed his hands on his hips, looking at me sternly. It was only then I got a good look at him. His curls were more defined today, for once not littered with blood and dirt, you could see his freckles more clearly as well. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't dreamt of him once or twice.
"We need Harper, she's been training with Miller and has become a good shot," Bellamy turned towards the first rover, setting his gun down in the back as Miller climbed in, Harper following after. "This isn't up for discussion." He finishes off with his back turned to me.
Clarke had come up from behind me and placed her hand on my shoulder, attempting to comfort me. "It'll be fi-"
I had cut her sentence short by jerking my shoulder away, I wasn't just mad at her, I was mad at the world. I hadn't said anything further and took one last look at Bellamy before storming off to the armory.
It had been a few days since that last encounter. The group had come back with plenty of food, a successful mission with only a few scrapes and cuts. They didn't even encounter any grounders.
Since they had come back I made no move to talk to any of them- or anyone for that matter. Only speaking to Monty when I had to, which was only once.
Bellamy had tried to speak to me, he tried to sit with me during dinner, tried to speak to me at the bar, and even tried talking to me on the radio stations. Which made a part of my heart flutter at his attempts. It almost made me forget why I was even mad at him to begin with.
I was at the computer, sitting and waiting for anything to pop up about the radios when Monty said he had plans with Jasper to help cheer him up, I made no move to stop him. What's more time alone with my thoughts? They were all of Bellamy. Replaying the few moments he'd try and talk to me in my head.
Me and Bellamy weren't as close as the rest of the group was. It isn't that he didn't try and talk to me, it's just ever since we landed I've viewed him as a player who only had one goal in life; to get into girls' pants.
It's safe to say he's been growing on me- well he was. I had been starting to miss his shitty jokes, how the light from the fire would illuminate his face in the best way, how his smile looked, how it was like he got stars in his eyes every time he laughed. I always tried to impress him, so why wouldn't he let me go?
My thoughts were cut short when I heard a pair of footsteps, which I just assumed were Montys.
"Hey, Monty." I greeted in a monotone voice, not caring to check.
"It's not Monty." I heard the other voice say, a voice I knew too well. What did he want now? I spun around in my chair, seeing how Bellamy toward over me. I simply tolled my eyes at him.
"What do you need," I said flatly
"Why're you ignoring me? Avoiding me?" He asks, care lacing his voice.
I took a moment to think about my reply, why exactly was I? He made me feel useless, I can't do anything to help Arkadia besides sit her in this fucking chair.
"Why didn't you let me go?" I countered his question with a question.
I was met with a scoff, "You're still on this? I told you it wasn't up for discussion."
"Yes, I'm still on this! I do nothing for Arkadia besides sit here and listen to a radio nobody talks into!" I shout, standing up abruptly, and walking closer to him.
Bellamy crossed his arms, unmoving. "What if something had happened to you?" He spoke, trying to remain calm.
"Then so be it! I feel useless Bellamy." My voice wavered, tears threatening to spill.
"You're everything but. At least here, you'd be safe." We were now inches apart.
"Why do you even care." Tears began crawling down my cheek, I couldn't believe I let myself get so vulnerable with him.
"Because I just do," He paused, debating if he should say what he was thinking. "And I'd never forgive myself if I let something bad happen to you."
His arms were now uncrossed and resting on my forearms, a touch that practically melted me. His words brought a deeper blush on my cheeks, my tears slowing their roll. I felt myself moving closer every second until finally, his lips were on mine.
It wasn't a kiss of lust or craving, it was a kiss of passion, a kiss that made me feel warm all over, it was a feeling I wanted to last forever. Bellamy was kissing me like I could break at any minute. His hands went up to cup my cheeks and wipe away my tears.
He had pulled away with a smile, leaving my lips feeling lost.
"I've wanted to do that since the day we landed," Bellamy admitted, a faint pink tint lining his face. Bellamy, blushing, something I never thought I'd see. A goofy smile made its way onto my face at the sight.
"Being useless doesn't seem so bad now."

Festive ghost hunting goes about as well as you would expect (ft. Jimmy, Gem, Fwhip, and Sausage)
- In Grian's absence, Fwhip and Sausage have decided go take his place by coming up with excuses to be late (which include watching a film and sketching Bubbles in front of a fireplace).
- Before even joining VC with anyone, Jimmy threatens to end stream and force Sausage to reflect over Christmas break if Sausage strays away from being PG. It's important to note that this is Sausage we're talking about. ("Guys! I have been family friendly this whole entire time! I only made four innuendos though, and that's not bad. Oh, and Jimmy took a temperature of me, but not through the mouth, and that's pretty much all I've done so far.")
- Sausage immediately sets the tone for the stream by kissing Jimmy, and they hunt for mistletoe so they can do it again.
- "What do you guys want for Christmas?" "25 more subs." "I want a pony!" "A really big sign that says Gem is great."
- Fwhip also hit 800k! He proceeded to write a tweet for the next three minutes.
- "Go inside Fwhip, you can see his mouth from in here." "No I don't want you inside me."
- "I know what a summoning circle is, I do this all the time!"
- Sausage decided to use his voice changer throughout the whole stream, even confusing Jimmy into believing it was the actual voice of the ghost for a bit. ("Sausage, if you do that one more time, I'll catch a plane for Christmas, and punch you, and steal your Minecraft account." "Yes! Oh, can you just do the punching and not the stealing of the account, please, thank you.")
- Jimmy is the first one to die, and Sausage compliments his butt. He then has a meltdown and rants to the ghost before being murdered as well. ("We're together in hell.")
- For the first round, Gem was the only one left, and had to guess the ghost, which she got correctly. ("We all suck." "I don't suck, I'd like you to know I survived and guessed correctly.")
- They really like commenting on the computers within the environments. ("James Clark, have you played 1.18?" "You'd get 2 fps on Minecraft with this thing.")
- "Hold on, let's go make fun of Gem for being alive." *Gem leaves them behind*
- Everybody dies in hilarious positions, with Jimmy getting killed because he was distracted by Sausage's body standing straight up. ("I got distracted by Sausage's dead body standing in the corner." "Can you guys stop flirting for THREE SECONDS?")
- Jimmy, Fwhip, and Sausage all start kissing each other, with Gem just witnessing it from the sidelines. ("I am fourth wheeling. I am fourth wheeling right now.")
- Fwhip: Another video of Jimmy losing in Phasmophobia all the time? I love it.
Chat member: Jimmy loses on all his streams, not just Phasmo.
- "My friends might be dying in there, chat, but I will take a sip of my drink, I will let them die, and then I will walk in, in just a second."
- Gem tried to get inside the house, but Fwhip's dead body was blocking the door from opening. ("Gem is never playing with us again.")
- "THE POWER OF CHRI-" *Sausage is immediately killed*
- Sausage has a wide vocal range with his demonic laughs and other noises. It's quite impressive. ("Sausage, could you stop that motorbike coming near your house.")
- "Someone needs to be alone, so I don't mean to breakup the homie sesh-"
- Grian and Scott made appearances in chat, with Scott suffering by watching them play

My Take on a Superman Video Game
I've seen other people give their takes on how to approach this, and given Superman and video games are two major topics of interest for me, I thought I'd give my pitch.
So first off, I’m giving him a health bar. Yes I know some people will b**** and no I don’t care. I don’t care what people who get their Superman knowledge from YouTube or Instagram “fact” pages think about the character, and all the other attempts such as the city health bar in the Returns game didn’t satisfy me. So right off the bat he’s getting a health bar. Second: it’s time to start showing casuals areas of Superman lore they either don’t know about or aren’t very familiar with. The reason for that is people think they “know” Superman so we need to immediately show something they DON’T know about or HAVEN’T seen already to get them to not immediately dismiss Superman out of hand based on memes or whatever. Which leads into my third creative point. Third: I’m not setting the first game in Metropolis. The Arkham games didn’t immediately throw you into an open world Gotham, they built up to it. The Spider-Man PS4 game started off with an open world because they were able to build upon dozens of Spider-Man games that laid the ground work for them. The first Superman game in decades needs to avoid biting off more than it can chew, and throwing Superman into an open world feels like a bad idea. So where can it be? Well there are options. There’s Warworld. There’s Apokolips. But I think the best location is one that’s intrinsically tied to Superman and his Kryptonian background, and serves as a nice counterpart to Batman starting out in Arkham Asylum: The Phantom Zone
Tumblr media
The Asylum was a great starting point for Batman for a couple reason: 1. It’s the iconic prison where Batman leaves his Rogues, 2. It’s gothic and horror esque vibe crafts the perfect atmosphere, and 3. it’s place as a center for examining the mind makes it great for exploring Batman’s mental state. For similar reason the PZ is the perfect place to start off Superman: 1. It likewise is an iconic prison for Superman Rogues 2. It’s science fiction and horror mixed together which crafts the perfect atmosphere for Superman to kick ass or be introspective, and 3. It lets Kal come face to face with his Kryptonian heritage in the nastiest way possible as he’s dumped into a place filled with prisoners his father helped exile as well as all the other monsters and criminals other races have dumped there. So he’s going to the Zone but how does he get there and what’s the story? It would be boring if he just walked in. Here’s the pitch: It’s Year 2 of Superman’s career. He’s already established himself as a hero in Metropolis and worldwide. The public knows he claims to mean them no harm and that he only seems to do good deeds, but they know very little about his origins and are divided as to his true intentions. The problem is Clark himself doesn’t really know his origins either beyond knowing he’s an alien from another planet. His only relics from his home planet are the rocket, a tablet written in a language he can’t read, and a curious device that doesn’t seem to have any use. As a show of goodwill, and because he hasn’t made any progress understanding them himself, Clark turns the tablet and the device over to STAR Labs for study. One day as he’s beating down some Intergang thugs, reality twists, and suddenly Clark finds himself in a place that is definitely not Metropolis. The “earth” is chalk white, the sky is a purple, green lightning flashes around as far as he can see, and where the sun should be there’s instead a black hole. Somehow Clark and the terrified Intergang thugs have ended up in the Phantom Zone with no idea of how they got there and how to get back.
Tumblr media
The thugs accuse Clark of transporting them there and attack him, with Clark suddenly realizing his powers are fading in this place with no sunlight. Luckily a stranger arrives and aids Clark in dispatching the thugs. Clark thanks him for his aid and then asks who he is. The stranger pauses and tells Clark: “My name is Dru-Zod, a general of Krypton”. He raises a hand for Clark to shake. “I was a friend of your father, Kal-El”. Zod tells Kal about the place he’s in, and his history with it. He tells him that other humans have been brought here as well besides the Intergang thugs, including many of Clark’s foes. Zod informs Clark that the likely culprit for their arrival to the PZ is the very first prisoner Jor-El ever banished to the Phantom Zone: Xa-Du the Phantom King, who has spent so long imprisoned that he seems to have obtained a degree of control over the Zone that gives him strange powers. Kal is told that if he does not collect the scattered humans and escape the Zone soon, he and the humans will become trapped there, as anyone who spends too long in the Zone eventually becomes unable to leave without special equipment on the other side to bring them back, thanks to the way the Zone warps the inhabitants. Kal’s mission is clear: Collect the scattered humans, defeat and pacify his foes trapped there with him so they can be brought back as well, and defeat the Phantom King before he tears a hole between the Zone and the real world that could cause catastrophe for Earth. That’s the basic story pitch, next I’ll go into gameplay mechanics and what Rogues I’d use.
Clark starts the game having been de powered back to “Golden Age” power levels due to there being no sun in the PZ. Zod teaches him about Sunstones that grow naturally in the PZ, which will allow him to slowly re-empower himself. The Sunstones ward off the PZ’s influence and basically act as perk points for Clark to unlock and upgrade his powers. At the start he can’t fly, he can only run and leap. Zod acts as Kal’s mentor throughout the game, teaching him about Kryptonian history and how to read the language. He also tutors him in the dangers of the Phantom Zone as well as training him to hone his powers. Kal gets the feeling there’s more to Zod than he’s letting on though, and some of his comments raise Kal’s suspicions. The base of the game is the Fortress of Solitude.
Tumblr media
It’s backstory is that when Jor-El first discovered the PZ, he built the FoS as a research outpost to study the place. It’s packed full of Kryptonian tech and it has the ability to shift back into the natural world. Zod couldn’t use it because it’s caretaker Kelex only responds to House El members. However it won’t shift back until it judges its user “sterilized” in order to avoid contaminating the natural world with the Zone’s influence. Because Kal was brought over so suddenly and without the proper tech, he has to use Sunstones to purge the Zone from his body before the Fortress will respond to his commands. This is a nice way of tying the gameplay and story together. Kal needs the stones to save the civilians and to go home, which helps explain why he might do side quests rather than stick with just the main questline. Civilians Superman has to rescue in the Zone: Lois Lane, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Dr. Veritas, Ron Troupe, Dr. John Henry Irons, Dr. Hamilton, Bibbo, Dr. Hank Henshaw and his family, Commissioner Henderson, Captain Maggie Sawyer, Detective Turpin, members of the Newskids Legion, Morgan Edge, and other OCs or nameless civilians. Kal also meets Krypto, who was transported into the Zone by Jor-El in order to watch over the Fortress as its guard, in order to keep it safe so that Kal might one day reclaim it. Rogues: Some of Superman’s Rogues have been teleported to the PZ as well, and unfortunately they have their own plans for escaping the Zone, even if it means they have to kill Superman to do it.
Tumblr media
Metallo: John Corbyn is a cyborg soldier that served in the US Army under Sam Lane and was created as the government’s Anti-Superman deterrent. After a fight with Superman in his early career left him crippled, he was bonded to a nanosuit that equips him with various weaponry capable of killing Superman. He believes Superman transported everyone there as part of a first strike against humanity. Parasite: A Lexcorp lab experiment gone horribly wrong, Rudy Jones is a science fiction vampire who needs to kill to sustain himself. He absorbs the memories and skills of whoever he kills, and he is able to transform his body into various weapons (think Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE] to know what I mean). He’s hunting the civilians to feed on and has his eye on Superman as well. Livewire: Leslie was a vlogger with a far looser code of ethics than Clark. Her “reporting” eventually angered the wrong people who attempted to have her assassinated. Instead Leslie ended up with powers over electromagnetism, and a grudge against Morgan Edge who she believes was behind the Intergang hit on her. Edge is her target but she doesn’t mind stepping over Superman’s corpse if she has to. The Terran (Terra-Man): Krypton wasn’t the only planet to discover the Phantom Zone. One alien race banished the immortal hunter known as the Terran, whose human name was Tobias before he was abducted by aliens who were interested in the potential of the human meta gene and wanted to experiment on him. Their experiment was a success and Tobias broke free, using their own weaponry to hunt them down and carve a bloody path across the stars. Eventually he was transported to the PZ and is now desperate to escape. Mr. Mxy: Who is this creature? Neither a human nor seemingly an alien prisoner of the PZ, Mxy engages Clark in a series of puzzles that reveal secrets about the PZ... and foretell of threats to come. Red Cloud: An enforcer for the Invisible Mafia, her only loyalty is to her boss Leone. Her identity is a secret from Clark for now and she intends for it to remain that way. Silver Banshee: Not every human teleported to the PZ was unchanged. Some reacted much more strongly to the Zone’s influence. One former human has now been twisted into the sinister Silver Banshee, driven insane by the whispers in the Zone and the alterations to her body. She poses a formidable threat to Clark in her current state. Xa-Du: The Phantom King and first prisoner of the Phantom Zone sent from Krypton. Zod claims he was insane even before he was sent here but his incarceration has done nothing to improve his health if so. Gleefully plotting his return to the real world, Xa’s only desire is to raise an army of super zombies with himself as their Necrogod ruler. His time in the Zone has given him control over the degraded Phantoms, and he can channel the energies permeating the Zone into a variety of attacks (basically he’s a space necromancer). His aim is to corrupt Kal-El and the Fortress and use both to travel to Earth and he will never stop hunting Kal. Non boss mooks for Clark to fight: Phantoms - Some of the inhabitants of the Zone have degenerated into the ghostly Phantoms, their only desire to spread their suffering to others. They have been so warped by the Zone they’ve become a part of it and are thus incapable of permanently dying. Shades - Much more powerful Phantoms, Shades retain some memory of their former lives and posses some of their former skills. They serve as the elite of Xa-DU’s forces. Shadowbreed - Native creatures of the PZ, these beings feed on the light of the SunStones and thus see Clark as a meal as well. They possess various animals of the PZ to attack and feed on him. Eradicators - Once these machines served House El in their study of this place acting as defenders. But time has eroded their programming and they now seek to destroy even the Last Son of their old House.
That's the basic of my pitch, I think it's a fairly manageable one that addresses a lot of the arguments you get from people about why a game "wouldn't work" or whatever.

First off: you’re writing, esp. for Prussia - 10/10, love it!
I saw in an old post that you were reading Christopher Clarke’s Iron Kingdom - how did you find it? I read it, gosh, that must have been four or five years ago just before starting university. His writing style is very accessible and engaging, I can also recommend Tim Blanning’s book on Frederick II! I’d also have some great ones to recommend for 1848, the wars of liberation and the unification, but most of them are in German..
I’m (jokes on me given the fandom) a historian, though even with an official degree in my pocket, I still prefer to call myself a history student haha cause I feel like a huuge imposter otherwise.
On a different matter; did you like Goethe’s Werther..? I read a lot of German literature all throughout school and if I had to pick one that just wasn’t mine... it’s that😂 I much preferred Faust. Despite having to recite passages of it by heart which was - in my opinion - quite a pointless exercise!
Hope you’re doing well!! Auf Wiedersehen 😊
Oh thank you, Lovely!
Tumblr media
Gil is kind of an escape for me, so it's always a bit of a relief to learn others enjoy my little fantasies too~
If you're referring to this post, there's actually a bit of a journey there. Back during my university days in London, I had started the book and attempted to read it among my travels that semester. Unfortunately, I was too busy exploring to properly finish it then. I honestly forgot about it for a couple of years, then started talking to one of my old DeviantArt friends from Peru a few months ago. We got on the subject of our old works and the research for said works; I was reminded of how much I had been enjoying the book. The next day, I contacted my local library to see if they could obtain an interlibrary loan for me; they contacted about 24 different libraries for me, and finally one of the region's colleges agreed to a limited loan- two weeks instead of three, so they would have it on hand for their incoming students. About five days into reading, I hunted down my own copy for $20 from abebooks.com. I'll gladly take any recommendations you may have for additional literature regarding Prussian history, especially if you know of any pertaining to their silk and porcelain trades or their book cafés and Napoleonic era newspapers. ^_^;
Oh cheers! I have a similar situation. While I don't have the degree (four credits short, due to realizing my calling far too late into school [though I did complete the Minor]), I firmly believe that even those expert historians who have "Doctor" to their names are still merely scholars. We never stop learning, no matter how much we may already know. And honestly? After ten years in this fandom, it seems that many historians (and at least one Chinese politician I befriended at an exhibit for the Magna Carta) are drawn to this fandom. We've all found Something worthwhile here~
I actually did enjoy Young Werther more than expected, though I have to admit that Goethe's poems- particularly "Venetian Epigrams," "The Best," "Longing," and "L'Envoi" have appealed to me much more. I've not yet finished reading "Faust," though I have seen the opera. I did start reading it a couple weeks ago, but this far I'm only through Act 1. ^_^;
If you have any more German authors (or any Eastern European) to recommend to me, I'd be beyond grateful for any and all suggestions!
Thank you so much for this ask/message, Lovely! Hope you enjoy the rest of your morning/day/evening/night.
Bis bald~!

Recap/review 14.04: “Mint Condition “
THEN: Michael's gone. Supposedly. Dean feels bad. Ghosts are a thing. Salt circles. Monster Kaia's magic spear.
NOW: A comic book/collectibles store. The camera pans over a variety of figurines and memorabilia, including a poster for the movie Hell Hazers, which you may remember from Hollywood Babylon, (thank you, Continuity Fairy!) and briefly pauses on a poster for the movie All Saints' Day before showing a television. Someone's watching Shocker TV, showing scary movies "24 hours a day, all week long." We see clips from Route 666 and that movie they were filming in Hollywood Babylon, whose name escapes me, as well as from a movie we will eventually find out is All Saint's Day. Cut to a guy unpacking a box of collectibles under the watchful eye of a long-haired freak right out of All Saints' Day. I keep waiting for this guy to realize he's being watched, but I am the one who eventually comes to a realization - that's not a guy, it's a statue.
The guy unpacks a box and literally drops it in shock. Because it's haunted, right? No, it's just a Thundercats collectible figure Panthro, in its original box. (No one in my house knows anything about Thundercats, but I assume this is a real character.) He stuffs the box in a backpack, and then his phone rings. The incoming call is a video call, which is weird, because people this age don't even call each other, let alone via video, but it makes for better television, so we'll let it go.
The caller is a girl named Sam, who is apparently his boss. She immediately starts berating the guy for his bad customer service, which resulted in a negative Yelp review. He promises to do better and confirms that she's coming over for game night. Stewart picks up his bag and a set of keys on a Batman keyring and locks up the store, under the watchful eye of the creepy statue.
(Boy, this is a lot of recap before we even get to the title card...)
We see Stewart at his house, arguing with a pizza delivery place. Panthro is sitting on a table and he turns and looks at him. It's surprisingly well done, BTW. Stewart turns to see Panthro on the floor, gets closer, watches Panthro swing his mace, and then screams.
Title card!
Bunker. Dean's lying on his bed, eating pizza and watching Hatchet Man: All Saints' Day, which is a gloriously cheesy salute to the 80s. Well, I'm glad he finally got a TV in his room, but does this mean the Fortress of Deanitude is no more? Is it full of refugee hunters now? Aw, that's sad.
{Sidebar: I wonder if this movie is called All Saints' Day because they knew the episode would be shown on All Saints' Day, and were being meta/clever? Or is it just supposed to be a riff on the Halloween franchise?}
Sam comes in and asks what he's doing, and when Dean looks up, he's shocked to see the Beard of Despair is gone. "Why are you so surprised?" Sam says. "Obviously, judging from my glorious scruff, it's been a few days since I shaved. Have you really not seen me in a day or two?" (No, he doesn't really say that.) But Dean says "it's so smooth; it's like a dolphin's belly." And it's not. It's really not. And as much as I love the scruff - which is quite a bit - I'd also like to see Sam's pretty face smooth as a dolphin's belly sometime. Just sayin'.
Sam (still) wonders if Dean's okay, since he hasn't really come out of his room in a week, which I guess explains how he missed the Big Shave. Dean expositions that Cas is "showing Jack the ropes," because if Jack wants to learn how to be a hunter, there's no better teacher than Cas, right? Absolutely no one. And with Monster!Kaia and Michael "in the wind," and his home full of strangers, Dean apparently figures he's got nothing better to do than hole up in his room watching Hatchet Man movies. (Is Hatchet Man the franchise, and All Saints' Day just one of the titles? I'm having trouble getting a grip on this.)
He knows Sam doesn't get it, because Sam doesn't even like scary movies. "Our life is a scary movie," Sam points out. And speaking of which, he's found a case. He shows Dean a YouTube video of a bloodied Stewart describing his Panthro attack, and I wish I could take credit for this catch, but I saw it on Tumblr... look at the left side of the screen. The "Recommended for You" videos are about zombies, a conspiracy theory, and how to clean your sink, which are all very interesting, but look at the "Up Next" video.
Tumblr media
IT'S A FUNNY CAT VIDEO. HAS SAM BEEN WATCHING FUNNY CAT VIDEOS?
Oh, Sammy knows just what he's doing, and I love him for it. He's all, we don't have to take this case involving KILLER THUNDERCAT TOYS if you're not interested, but he's got Dean exactly where he wants him.
Tumblr media
His smug little face at the end of this scene gives me life.
Guys, I was so ready for this. A MotW, and Sam giving Dean a hunt he knows he'll enjoy just to help him kick his Michael blues... This is the show I'm here for!
The guys show up at the comic book store dressed like absolute dorks, in short-sleeved shirts and ties. Sam has a pocket protector. I don't know why. But it's single-layer Winchesters and I'm gonna embrace it. Looks like this episode is happening on Halloween and not on All Saints' Day, because they're accosted by costumed children outside the store. Dean comments that Sam still isn't a fan of Halloween (which we've known ever since the pilot; thanks again to the Continuity Fairy). Sam confirms.
Tumblr media
Apparently this red mask is a character Jensen voiced in an animation? And of course Jared was in House of Wax. Pretty deep meta here, Show.
BossLady!Sam is there, wearing a red plaid shirt, and Dean comments that she's like Sam's twin. "I don't know what you're talking about," Sam says, as he and BossLady!Sam tuck their hair behind their ears in sync, and I die.
Tumblr media
That’s me, in a puddle on the floor.
“Soft, delicate features," Dean points out. "Luxurious hair. She's like your Wonder Twin." All of this is true, Dean, and good on you for noticing that your brother has soft, delicate features and luxurious hair. Sam notices a guy stocking the shelves - black All Saints' Day t-shirt, shortish spiky hair, lollipop just like the one Dean snagged at the door - and says "if that's me, then that's you over there."
Dean's distracted (and delighted) by the Hatchet Man statue, giving him the name David Yaeger. {Sidebar: did you know the word jager means hunter in German?} His doppelganger encourages him to push a button that plays his catch phrases from the movie, including "we all do bad things sometimes." Which is, like Dean's motto. Dean's joy is infectious and adorable.
Tumblr media
BossLady!Sam finishes her business with the police and asks what she can do to help the guys, offering "Funko Pops, Magic cards," and given the number of Supernatural Funko Pops decorating my office, I'm pleased with that shout-out. Sam asks about Stewart as Dean asks about vintage Hot Wheels, and Dean, I am very sad to inform you that Hot Wheels apparently never made a 1967 Chevy Impala.
The guys introduce themselves as Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, The Husband points out) from Campbell and Sons Insurance (hee!), wanting to speak to Stewart. Presumably not about Hot Wheels, unless he got run over by one. They'd gone to his place, but his roommate said he moved out. Or got kicked out. BossLady!Sam explains that Stewart is an "acquired taste" who makes a lot of online enemies, and he can be found at his mom's house.
I still don't understand why the guys are dressed like nerds. Is it a Halloween costume? Because we've seen them as insurance agents before, and they were wearing regular suits.
Mom's house. Mom puts a couple of mugs on the table - one is a superhero (Flash, maybe?) and one is decorated with cats - and announces that Stewie will be up in just a minute. Dean reaches for the superhero mug, even though it was placed in front of Sam, but the joke's on you, Dean, because we now know Sam likes cats! But more importantly, Dean has added a pair of black Clark Kent eyeglasses to his getup. WHY? I mean, it's hilarious, but WHY?
Tumblr media
I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON HERE.
We hear Stewart pitching a fit in the basement. He stomps upstairs and sees the Winchesters, and I know the guy in the store was supposed to be Dean's avatar, but this guy is wearing a RED SHIRT WITH A SQUIRREL ON IT. COME ON .
Tumblr media
Truly a Red Shirt of Bad Decisions.
We learn that Sam is aware of Fortnight, and Dean notices the smell of burning sage. Stewart explains that he dated a goth chick who told him it would bring good luck, but he broke up before they could "merl." Dean's as confused as I am about "merl," but Sam explains it's MIRL - Meet In Real Life. Dean asks how he knows what that means, and Sam very quickly changes the subject. And this opens up all sorts of interesting possibilities, doesn't it, regarding Sam's online activities and his knowledge of MIRLing, and that would certainly be an entertaining rabbit hole to go down, and I hope some of y'all indulge in that, fic-wise or meta-wise or whatever. I look forward to reading it.
Anyway. Sam asks about the Panthro attack, and Stewart jumps in to say he made it up. When Dean presses, he gets mad and kicks them out of the house and then we cut to an exterior shot and WHAT THE FUCK? NOW DEAN HAS A TACKY CHECKERED BLAZER? It's like he's slowly turning into Matt Foley from SNL. At some point in this episode he's got to say something about living in a van down by the river.
Tumblr media
Dean refers to Stewart as "Big Bang," which reminds me that I meant to ask, when we first learned his name, if he was a shout-out to Stewart the comic book store owner on Big Bang Theory. {Sidebar: Would this be a reciprocal shout-out, since that show has a character named Kripke? Is there a connection I don't know about?} Given Stewart's Wiccan girlfriend, they think the toy might have been under a spell, and they decide to check the house for hex bags later. Although I don't know how she would have left any in the house, since they never MIRLed.
Later. The guys are sitting in the car, still outside Stewart's house, when a little lumberjack and vampire walk by. Look, it’s Dean and Benny!
Sam’s instructing someone to use lamb's blood and "stay safe," because he's still Chief, Dean, whether you like it or not. Dean asks "seriously, what is your deal with Halloween," and "don't give me that 'every day is Halloween for us' crap." It's kind of odd that he doesn't already know. I mean, we already know. His life is Halloween. And his mother died two days after Halloween. {Sidebar: Is it just headcanon, fueled by fanfic, that John got blind stupid drunk every year around the anniversary of Mary's death? Or is that canon?} The conversation is interrupted when Stewart's mom leaves the house, and the guys have to duck - toward each other - to avoid being seen. It's ridiculous and hilarious and I love it.
Tumblr media
Dean could have just taken off the Clark Kent glasses.
Sam suspects Stewart changed his story because he's being brutally mocked online. And he won't say the word bitch. Is this something we can't do now that we're airing at an earlier hour, Show? Then Stewart comes out of the house, bloody and screaming for help. Dean goes inside, gun drawn, and follows a trail of blood to Stewart's man cave (um, boy cave?). As he gazes at a Texas Chainsaw Massacre poster, he hears a chain saw, which hurtles into the room and barely misses his pretty head.
Hospital. Stewart's mom, still in costume, sits at his side and thanks the guys for saving his life. She wants to go home and get his favorite pillow, but they convince her to stay. "Everything's fine," Dean tells her. "Everything is not fine," he says to Sam, as they leave the room. He says he swept the room for hex bags and found nothing, but the EMF went crazy. So it's a ghost. Hey, guys, you should have watched the "Then." We already knew that. Dean is going to stay at the hospital and keep Mom from going back to the house, while Sam asks around to see if anybody "got dead lately."
At the house, Sam finds the light switch in the Den of Stewartitude doesn't work, even though a lamp and computer monitors are turned on in the room. He laughs at himself for being startled by the Panthro toy and says "nice, Sam, smooth," and for some reason this just almost makes my heart burst open. The toy isn't putting off EMF now, which he finds odd. Then he looks at one of the monitors and sees a group photo of Stewart, LadyBoss!Sam, Dean's doppelganger, and an older man.
Back at the hospital, Dean's doppelganger is standing outside Stewart's darkened room. He is wearing an army green canvas jacket and has acquired some scruff of his own and he's just such a precious little mini Dean; I can't stand it. He asks what Dean's doing there, and Dean says he's just keeping an eye on Stewart. "He must have awesome insurance," Doppelganger says. Which is very funny, and also very Dean, because he says "awesome" so much. I love it.
Dirk explains that Stewart is a jerk, but he's his best friend, and he's there when Dirk needs him. They eat pizza and watch movies and who else does that, my friends? You know who. Then the guys bond over their love of scary movies, and it looks like the franchise is actually called All Saints' Day. I'm sure you were really dying to know. Stewart comments that no hospital would ever be that empty, and Dean says he's been to a lot of hospitals at night, and "trust me, it gets pretty empty," and at first that's just heartbreaking because I figure he was at these hospitals because John or Sam were injured. But maybe he's just thinking about hunts in hospitals. (Again, I need to differentiate fic-fueled headcanon from actual canon.) And then Dean says he likes to watch movies "where I know the bad guy's gonna lose" and yep, my heart is definitely broken.
Sam shows up at the store and asks BossLady!Sam if anyone close to Stewart has died lately. She explains that Jordan, who used to own the store, was kind of a Willy Wonka to her, Stewart, and Dirk (Aha! His name is Dirk! Which is close to Dean, and hasn't Dean actually been called Dirk before?). He died and left the store to BossLady!Sam and Dirk. Not Stewart, because he fired him twice for stealing. But she hired him back because he's a friend. It seems like Stewart has better friends than he deserves. She tells Sam that Jordan was cremated, and then we see something frosting over behind her.
Sam is adorable, trying to look casual as he pulls out his EMF meter and it lights up like a Christmas tree. He tells her it's a carbon monoxide detector and she needs to leave. He starts to tell her she's in danger, and then the David Yeager statue smacks him into the comic book display and knocks him out cold. Even though he hits it with his back. (Handwave!)
When he wakes up, BossLady!Sam is terrified but unhurt. She gets a quick version of the "monsters are real" speech and finds that the door is locked, and Hatchet Man took the keys. He throws something at the door, but it's shatterproof glass. Apparently Jordan was serious about thieves, which explains why he's so keen on killing Stewart, that Panthro-stealing little asshole.
He calls Dean, who's fanboying with Dirk about horror movies, and tells him it's Jordan's ghost. And the David Yaeger figure is on its way. Dean can hardly believe his luck. He pours a ring of salt around Stewart's bed, having given him the speech, and orders him to stay in it. Boy, it's a good thing they reminded us what salt is for in the "Then," or else we'd be really confused right now.
Store. BossLady!Sam figured out what I did, that Jordan wants to kill Stewart because he's a thief. She says she's been taking money out of his check to pay for what he steals, but Jordan wouldn't know that. Sam breaks his lockpick, and then asks if they have any cleaning supplies.
Hospital. Ghost stuff starts happening in Stewart's room, and Dirk panics and flees. Dean takes a hatchet out of a fire emergency box, even though I think that would probably set off a fire alarm. (Handwave!) Dirk's mom is carrying a tray of food from the cafeteria and comes across the Yaeger figure. She drops her tray and screams, just like the woman in the movie. Dirk shows up and puts on a stern face and tells Jordan that if he's going to kill his friend, he has to go through him. Oh Dirk, you sweet little thing, you're channeling Dean so hard now and I adore you. Jordan does come for Dirk, who says "crap" and runs off. There's a funny sequence where we cut back and forth between Dirk and some hospital guards who are watching All Saints' Day and ignoring the actual mayhem happening on their monitors.
Meanwhile, Sam is mixing drain cleaner and something else in a Scooby Doo lunchbox. {Sidebar: I'm not a Scooby Doo fan, but I love the show's constant references to it and the way the Continuity Fairy always remembers Dean's a fan.} BossLady!Sam asks how he learned to do this, and he says "I had a messed up childhood." It's funny because it's true. He hangs the lunchbox bomb on the door and they hide behind the desk. After it blows the door open, they both slowly peek over the desk and simultaneously say "cool." I'm starting to love Sam and his little doppelganger too.
Hospital. Dirk hides in the morgue (no, Dirk, never in the morgue!) and gets a scary hand on his shoulder, but it's Dean. Then a body on one of the gurneys sits up. Yeah, it's Yaeger.
At this point there's a fake movie promo for All Saints' Day III: The Reckoning. It starts out "Three Years Ago," which reminds me very much of a certain scene that starts out "Twenty two years ago." Looks like David Yaeger was killed in a fire on October 31, 1983, which is two days before Mary Winchester dies in a fire. Oh, you clever, clever show.
Back to the show. Dean gleefully fights the Yaeger figure. At least he's gleeful until it seems he's not doing very well. Sam and BossLady!Sam show up, and she's wearing Jared's coat from the EW Halloween photoshoot last year.
Tumblr media
Bless you, Show.
She figures out that Jordan must be attached to the Batman keychain. Meanwhile, Dean is cornered, and about to get axed, when precious little badass Dirk stabs Jordan in the back. It doesn't kill him, of course, but it gives Dean a chance to get up and start losing the fight again. The Sams run in and BossLady!Sam figures out that alcohol will help them burn the keychain faster. Whoosh! There goes Jordan, and the statue falls lifeless to the floor.
Aftermath. The guys tell Dirk and BossLady!Sam that everyone is safe now. The Impala scene starts with Dean thanking Sam for "giving me a win." Sam asks him to stop hiding out in his room. "What happened with Michael, you said yes for me, for Jack, for your family. You did the right thing." He says nothing Michael did afterward is Dean's fault, and he needs to stop blaming himself.
"I'm never gonna get over it, okay?" Dean says. "I'm just not." And once again, Sam could say "yes, I understand how you feel, because I've been there too," not to make this all about him, but just to commiserate and show Dean that he's not just blowing off his horrific experience, he knows how bad it was and he might have some good ideas about getting past it. And once again, he does not. But that's okay. What isn't okay is what happens next. Dean asks again why Sam hates Halloween, and Sam tells some ridiculous story about having a crush on a girl in sixth grade and throwing up on her at her Halloween party, and you know what? I just refuse to accept this. WE KNOW WHY SAM HATES HALLOWEEN. AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A GIRL IN SIXTH GRADE. I don't know why you're doing this to me, Davy Perez. You're usually so good about canon. I cannot accept that Sam Winchester, whose entire life has been Halloween, whose mother died two days after Halloween, is distressed because of something that happened in sixth grade. I'm going to pretend this part never happened. Who's with me?
Dean says that next year, he and Sam are going to wear couples costumes (and if you happened to be wearing your shipping goggles, I think I heard you squealing). Batman and Robin. Bert and Ernie. (!) Rocky and Bullwinkle. (!!) Shaggy and Scooby. Turner and Hooch. Ren and Stimpy. Thelma and Louise. "We just it in drive and go." {Sidebar: Who wants the show to end that way, Thelma and Louise style?}
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, one of those useless security guards finds the Yaeger figure in the morgue. The guys left it there? Oh well. It's a good horror movie ending.
So! For the most part, this was just what I needed after three episodes of mytharc. A good MOTW with lots of humor and nods to canon. On the other hand, there's that one thing. But since I'm ignoring that one thing, I guess this was a fantastic episode! What did you guys think?
Please help me stay unspoiled, thanks!

"Xenos" series
Chapter 3. Rescueing friends
Tumblr media
description: "Xenos" from the Ancient Greek "stranger, foreigner". Xenia Kane and the other 99 delinquents are strangers for everyone who managed to survive on the Earth. Her story has just started. Enjoy
-We will continue walking when you give us your bracelets,- Bellamy addresses to me and Clarke. Damn, he and Murphy are so good at getting on my nerves, they should get a reward for it. -The Ark will know that we're dead only when we really are,- the blonde snaps at him -And what do we say to death? -Not today,- I add smirking. Yeah, this is one of my favorite quotes and I'd like everyone to remember it. -Brave Princess and brave Commander, - the older Blake tells us not seeming to have a proper answer
Tumblr media
-Hey, think about your own nicknames!- suddenly there is Finn appearing from nowhere, he didn't join our rescue party when it was leaving the camp.-Nia, Clarke, come with me. -My savior! - I name him chuckling and leave the other trio behind. Then there is me near the lake waiting for my friends to stop playing in the water and continue searching for Jasper. To be honest, I'd like to have some fun in the water too but maybe another time when I'll finally calm down after yesterday's story. -Guys, I think I've found something that you'd like to see,- I inform them looking at the drops of blood on the rock that I saw while exploring the near surroundings. -We should go this way,- now serious Finn points to my right. Three years of tracking lessons, no one argues with him. Looking around I see Well's figure in the bushes and call the boys. We are now walking together suddenly hearing a groan and see my friend tied to the tree in the distance
Tumblr media
-That's Jasper,- I gasp taking off to him with Clarke following me -Girls, wait!- Finn warns us but I'm already in the middle of my way to Googles. Reaching the tree I hear a scream behind me and turn around. Wow, me and Clarke have been running a few inches away and she is the one who managed to fall in the hole with peaks. There is Bellamy holding her arm seeming to be not so willing to pull her up and does it only after Finn shouts. I turn back to Jasper, Clarke will be okay but he is in the worse state. -Does someone have a knife here?- I ask regretting not making one from the piece of the dropship back at our camp. Murphy gives his not saying anything and I climb on the tree calling for Collins to follow me. Cutting the rope on Jasper's wrists I notice some movement in the grass near us. -Guys, you better watch out,- is my warning -What are you talking ab...,- Bellamy doesn't finish his question because of a loud growl. The moment later a large black panther appears in front of him. -Bellamy, your gun!- Clarke shouts but Blake can't find it. That's called "too much boasting", my friends. "Thanks God I'm in some kind of safety on the tree",- I think to myself and then hear several gunshots. That's Wells, wow. Unfortunately, it doesn't help that much 'cause the animal continues having its way to the others, only limping this time. Finn just ended cutting the ropes so I quickly grab the knife from his hand and without a backup thought through it at the predator. Maybe I'll be lucky and it hits it, at least I have to try. And guess what? It really does! Damn, I'm SO good. The knife hurts some of life-important organs and the animal fells eventually killed on the ground. -Now she sees you,- Bellamy tells the dark skinned boy and when his eyes meet mine nods. On "cool kids'" language it means "Thanks". I saved his damned life and that's all I get? "Huh, he wants to play a "cool boy"?Then I'll be a "cool girl", "-I decide in my thoughts and don't even nod him back that means "You're welcome" on this language. Do you realize how far can I go? My feet touch the ground after the jump from the tree and I move in the way of the camp being accompanied with the delinquents' still shocked looks. -Get Clarke everything she needs,- Bellamy orders his "dogs" while the blonde hurries to the dropship, Finn and Wells carrying Jasper after her. I follow them to the second level and greet Monty and Octavia who look really worried. -Clarke, what should I do?- is my question -Help the boys to hold him still,- she answers pointing on the Googles.
I do as Griffin says and shut my eyes knowing I won't like the sight of what is going to happen. Hearing Jasper's screams is terrifying so after we can leave ours spots I decide to breath some fresh air outside. There is Bellamy entering the dropship and by how he looks I can understand he is not going to support my injured friend. -Bellamy, we didn't risk our own lives just to let him die now,- I remind him.- And you don't have the right to take his away. -Yeah, but I have the guts to do it,- he snaps and it makes me turn away from the older Blake quickly and head outside. What he's just told me was disgusting! How can some people be so selfish? Leaving the dropship I hear people starting to cheer looking at me. Guess who is their local hero now? -Make sure you've pulled all the bullets and Murphy's knife out!- I order thinking how strange these teen are. Just yesterday they were calling Clarke and me "privileged", not wanting to have any authorities and now Bellamy is their beloved leader and I'm associated with a "Commander". -You did good today,- suddenly there is Finn near me grinning. - I'm proud I have a friend like you,- he adds causing me to blush and look at the ground. -Stop! No,you know, carry on,- I chuckle and then add seriously.- How is he? -Clarke says there is hope but Bellamy... I interrupt Spacewalker shaking my head: -No, don't speak with me about him or I'll going to puke. Better call for the blondie to eat with us,- is my advice Three minutes later we are already standing near the line of delinquents who are giving up the bracelets for meat that we've brought them. What a stupid idea. It definitely was Blake's. -I guess I can have some meat for free,- I say to Murphy while taking one stick and smiling "innocently" -Hey, the rule says tha...,-he tries to stop me but gets interrupted by Collins -And I thought there were no rules,- my friend snaps at him and heroically takes one stick for himself and one for Clarke Looking at Murphy's surprised face I can't hold my laugh back. -I, I w-wish you saw your expression right, right now,- I try to tell him but find it really hard because of my endless giggles and everyone's wide smiles around me. -What so funny, Kane?-suddenly there is a voice behind. Great. Here he is.
-None of your damn business, Blake,- I retort turning to the guy with a serious look and leave noticing how his arms fell. Well, it was his fault. The next morning after my sleep (well, if you can call laying with your eyes closed listening to Jasper's groans "sleep"), I am sitting near the dropship making some knives for myself and my friends 'cause I FUCKING CARE about them, what you can't say abou... -Nia, we're going hunting, you are with us!-Bellamy calls me. -Speak of the devil...,- I retort and leave my spot. Yes, I'm still mad at him for what he said yesterday but I if stay in a camp a little longer listening to the Googles I'll loose my shit. The older Blake ignores my words and hands me a knife. -Uh, no, thanks, already have one. Or five, to be exact,- I refuse and show him my "collection". The boy seems impressed, don't doubt it.-Hey, Miller, I think? Please, take these 4 knives straight to Finn, you got this?- I ask a random guy who seems surprised but accepts them eventually. -Can we go now?-I hear Murphy's "pleads" and hurry to the haunting party deciding not to get in trouble. -No, Nia, you can't keep it! Give it back!- Bellamy orders me -But whyyy, you mean nothing to me and I don't follow your orders!- I retort stepping away from him. We are already back from hunting and are standing practically in the center of the camp with all the teens staring at us.
Tumblr media
-I said give it to me,-he continues.- This creature will be a dinner for three people in the camp. -Then I'll give up my three dinners, okay?-I ask the older Blake and I swear, I see a look of worry in his eyes for a second. -As you wish,- he gives up turning away from me and leaving. Now I'm standing as a winner of the argument with this, as Bellamy called it, "creature". Why do guys think that if they say such a cute word "bunny", their masculinity will fade a way? Yes, you understood right, I petted a bunny. At first I was going to kill it, to be honest, but then I just looked at the animal carefully and decided not to. Moreover, I've already did really good on the hunt, they all should be thankful. The bunny is so soft due to his light brown fur that I even bring it to my face. My eyes meet Murphy's and he seems not to agree with Bellamy letting me keep it. I quickly look away not paying attention to his threatening look and head to the dropship. -Monty, hi, do you have a box or something?- I ask my friend on the second level. Monty is sitting next to Jasper and even doesn't turn his face to me when I enter. Of course, he has a reason for that, his best friend is in a really bad state. Who wouldn't be worried?
-Um, yeah, look in the corner,- he answers What corner? Huh, this information didn't help me at all but my decision is not to bother him right now so I just silently search for a place where to put my new friend. Finally, Roger is in his new "house". Yes,this is how I named my bunny. Don't ask why, I don't know myself, it was the first name I thought of. -Look after Roger for me, please?- I ask Monty.- His box would be here. -Yeah, yeah, okay,- he retorts still not turning to look at me. -Where do you think you are going?-Bellamy asks me when I almost reach the exit of the camp -UGHH, to get some fresh grass for Roger, why do you even care?- I snap at him sighing. -It is unsafe out there. And who on Earth is Roger?- our leader wonders -My bunny. Any more questions?- is my answer. -Yes, would you mind coming with me and teach some people to throw knives? That shocked me. Since when I'm asked to help with things like this? I totally like it, you know, so I agree and run out in the woods. AGAIN. Why do I always end up there and can't rest my ass in the some sort of safety of the camp?

"I'd Come For You" by Nickelback
Send me a song and I will write a drabble, headcanon, or AU/Verse inspired by it!
“Come here, you little rascal.” Oliver walked through the door to see his two year old son giggling as he trotted up to Oliver. Kneeling down, his arms opened wide as he embraced Oliver Jr, picking him up as Chloe quickly greeted him with a kiss on the cheek. “How was he today?” Oliver asked as he set their son down by his mess of toys “Oh you know, bouncing off the walls.” Chloe joked with a wide grin on her face, waving off what she previously said “He was good, we ran a few errands around town, read a few stories before nap time..” Chloe trailed off with the same smile as she looked at their son, “Sounds like a fun day,” Oliver commented with a small nod, “And in only an hour..” Chloe began, draping her arms over Oliver’s shoulders “We’ll have a night to ourselves for the first time in months,” She quipped with a smile, Oliver grinned wildly as he held on to her hips “Yeah, I think that’s the only thought that got me through the day.” He chuckled before placing a long, drawn out kiss on Chloe’s lips.
Lois and Clark had picked up Ollie Jr exactly an hour later, they were amazing babysitters and both Chloe and Oliver were thankful for their help, with out them, Oliver and Chloe would probably never have time alone.
“So what would you like to do Mrs. Queen? Dinner, movie, fly out of town for the night?” Oliver began listing off ideas, looking over at Chloe lovingly as they seated on the couch, both with a glass of wine in hand “Hmm,” Chloe’s lips stretched out in thought, “Look, Oliver, I know it’s our first night to ourselves in forever but I really want to stay in. A dinner would be great, so would a movie – but we can do that here, just us.” Her eyes grew big as she looked at him, he could never resist that look – though, he wouldn’t have objected anyways “I like that idea,” Oliver smirked, Chloe leaning into his side to snuggle up to him while he kissed the crown of her head. “I’ll order the pizza, you pick the movie.” he made a deal as Chloe nodded into him “Okay,” but instead of getting up, she got more comfortable “Five minutes and then I’m getting up,” Oliver warned with a laugh “That’s all I need.” She murmured into him.
It was much more than five minutes passing, maybe twenty. But Oliver couldn’t complain, of course him and Chloe cuddled but it was usually when they were about to go to sleep - even then, their schedules were so different ( with Oliver being green arrow at night ) that sometimes they didn’t even get to cuddle then. During the day, he was off at Queen Industries and Chloe was taking care of their son, so even if it was just twenty minutes cuddling; it was the best twenty minutes of Oliver’s life.
The pizza had long past arrive, both Oliver and Chloe on their second slice and Princess Bride  playing on their flat screen TV. Though, neither of them were paying much attention to it. Instead, the time was spent talking, laughing, reflecting on old times and planning for the future. As of that moment, they were stuck in an apartment, not by choice - but to stay under the radar, well, they were under the radar long enough and Oliver thought it was time to buy a house, so he did – Chloe and him had been out house hunting for weeks and she fell in love with one of the last few they saw. Unfortunately, it was quickly sold – little did she know, though, that it was because Oliver had bought it for them. He planned a surprise the next morning, to take her to the house, tell her it’s now theirs. He couldn’t wait to see her reaction.
BZZZ  BZZZ    BZZZ“Ollie – Oliver, your phones going off.” Chloe sleepily shook Oliver as they slept in their bed. Eyes fluttering open, he looked around groggily as Chloe fell back into place on the bed and going back to sleep. Picking up his phone, he stepped out of the bedroom and closed the door“Hello?” He asked, still half asleep “Oliver? Finally, I’ve called five times!” Lois was on the other end, he could hear panic in her voice. “I was sleeping, like a normal person does at these hours” He began, grumpily – before realization set it “Wait, why are you calling? What’s wrong?” With in seconds, he was wide awake and panicked himself.  “Is it Ollie? Is he okay –” He was frantic, “I’m going to put Clark on the phone,” Lois gave a sad filled sigh, only putting Oliver more on edge as he heard the phone being exchanged from Lois to Clark “Where is he? Is he okay? What’s going on?” A million questions ran through his head “I’m going to need you to trust me here – is that bunker still under Queen Industries?” Clark questioned, calm but still a hint of worry in his tone “Yeah..” Oliver trailed off in confusion “Get Chloe there, now. I’ll be there with Ollie. –” His voice had an urgency that Oliver knew all too well “Oliver, you don’t have much time.” And with that, Clark’s end of the line clicked then a long beep drew out.
What was going on? Why couldn’t Clark just come to him, get Chloe and Ollie to the bunker? Why wouldn’t Clark tell him what was going on —- His mind raced, but he wasn’t wasting any time.
“Chloe, chloe get up.” Oliver shook Chloe, hands shaking. “Hmm, what?” Chloe looked at him through squinted eyes, “Get up, get dressed. Something’s wrong – Clark called and –” Oliver began “Oh god, what happened?” Chloe shot up, “I - I don’t know, he wouldn’t tell me. He just said to get you to the bunker and he’d be there with Ollie. We don’t have time to lose.” Chloe knew this was serious, so with out a complaint or even a word, she got up, got dressed, got what she needed and joined Oliver as they headed out the door.
Latching the door on the bunker beneath Queen Industries, Oliver punched in the code to lock it. “Oh thank god, you’re safe!” Relief washed over Chloe as she turned to their son and swept him up in her arms, “Where’s uncle Clark?” Oliver asked his son as he pointed to the ceiling, a slightly annoyed sigh escaped Oliver’s lips, “Be good, okay,” Oliver said to their son before kissing the crown of his head, turning to Chloe as a small smile flashed across his face “If I don’t –” He began as Chloe firmly pressed her lips against his “I know.” She nodded as their lips parted “I love you,” He breathed out, “ I love you.” Chloe smiled.
“Clark, what’s going on, man?” Oliver asked in confusion, wanting answers. Oliver had wandered through the building, entering his office and finding Clark there. “He’s here,” Clark breathed out, Oliver’s brows furrowed “Who, what? Whose here?” He questioned in confusion “Lex.” It was a whisper, and hearing the name sent chills up Oliver’s spine. “I’m dead,” He whispered, knowing his fate before Lex even laid a hand on him. “I won’t kill him, Oliver.” Clark shook his head at his words, seemingly apologizing. “Then I will.” Oliver stated quickly “For good this time.” He gritted his teeth as Clark shook his head once again, “No. That’s why I didn’t want to involve you to begin with –” He started in protest as Oliver scoffed “Clark, man, it’s kill or be killed. You know that right? It’s either he kills me or I kill him.” He hung his head to the side, Clark was silent for a moment “There’s other ways —” He bowed his head, “No, Clark. There’s not. Now I don’t know why we are standing around here, I’m going to go find that bald-headed asshole and put an end to this. If not just for me but for my family.” Oliver straightened his posture as he stood up to Clark “If I find him first, I’ll deal with him.” He stated, both of them stating a silent deal. And in the blink of an eye, Clark was gone.
Pulling out the only weapon he had on him, his multi gadget collapsible bow with only two arrows on him – he hoped for the best. Or to at least get a injury worthy shot in. He knew Lex would be armed, and maybe more powerful than Oliver at this point – he didn’t know and he didn’t have many answers. How was Lex back? Why? How did Clark know, but either way, he knew what he had  to do.
Walking through the halls of Queen Industries, the stillness of the building began to creep him out. He hated silence, it never felt right and made him more on edge than he already was. “Looking for me?” That familiar, venomous voice rang “Lex,” Oliver played a smirk on his face as he spun around, “Wow, you look pretty good for a dead guy.” He noted in surprise, how the hell was this possible? “I’d say thanks but considering you’re the one that killed me —” Lex trailed off with pursed lips and narrowed eyes “Why don’t we skip the faux chat? We both know why I’m here.” A grin swept over his lips “I’m guessing it’s too late to plead for my life, huh?” Oliver was serious but passed it off as a joke - Lex raised his right hand, bringing his thumb and index finger together for a small measurement.  Oliver raised his bow, “May the best man win?” He smirked, “Sure, – you know, I wonder how your son will feel with out a father.” Again, Lex pursed his lips as Oliver’s nostrils flared “Son, what son?” He swallowed, hard. “Oh you know, the one who shares your name, birthed by Chloe Sullivan. She’s quite the woman, isn’t she?” Lex chuckled to himself with a smug grin, “Leave them out of this.” Oliver threatened through gritted teeth, Lex holding his hands up in mock surrender.
Lex raised his gun, go figure, of course the man would bring such a weapon to an end-all fight. Oliver held the trigger on the bow, the good thing about it was, you press the button and the arrow goes; the bad part was, there was a five second delay. He always told himself he’d perfect it but that thought came too late.
“I’d say on the count of three, but –” Lex hung his head to the side as he pulled the trigger. Oliver could feel his breath hitch in his throat and his heart sink in seconds, pressing the button on the bow as the arrow went flying “Come on, come on.” He muttered, quicker than he’d think, he felt a force hit his chest and send him to the ground.
Oliver closed his eyes for a second, and with in that second, he was in the bunker, opening his eyes to see Chloe looking down at him in a panic “How did –” He began “Clark.” She finished his thought as she fled to his side, tearing open his shirt as Oliver looked down at himself “Oh would you look at that, that son of a bitch got me in the chest.” He laughed faintly, then moaned in pain as Chloe put pressure on the wound “Oliver — I - I don’t know how long I can keep you alive for.” She spoke in a frenzy, Oliver looked to his side to see their son sit beside him “Hey, buddy. Don’t look alright? Why don’t you, uh.. go play in the other room, alright?” Oliver forced a smile, Ollie Jr nodded as he rose to his feet “I love you, little guy.” Oliver spoke up to him, his son smiling such a familiar smile “I love you too daddy.”
“Keep me alive for five minutes, that’s all I need, alright?” Oliver spoke up to Chloe as she looked at him in confusion, bewilderment. He managed to sit up, though the pain was something he could never even begin to describe.  Chloe continued to put pressure on the wound, holding Oliver’s arm to keep him up right, “I love you, god I love you. And you’re beautiful – you know that?” He smiled to himself, watching Chloe try to save him “I know where this is going, Oliver please don’t.” She focused for a minute, stopping her task for a moment as she looked him in the eyes. Brushing as stray blonde strand out of her face and placing it behind her ear, Oliver grinned, “I always knew you were the one, you know that? Through it all, even the bad..” He trailed off, watching a tear fall from Chloe’s eyes as a frown took her face “I’d do anything for you, for our son..” He continued in thought “I just want you to know, I wouldn’t change anything.” Oliver whispered, groaning as he leaned in to give Chloe a kiss on the lips.
A faintness washed over him as he began to fall backwards, Chloe catching his head in her lap as she moved to save him frantically.
“You made me a better man, a father – you made life worth living,” For the last time, that cocky smirk pulled at his lips, looking up at Chloe as she sobbed violently - he continued to smile as his eyes began to close, moments of his life flashing in his mind. Finding out about his parents death, being stranded on the island, moving to Metropolis and starting the justice league. And of course, the most important memories of all, meeting Chloe and falling in love with her, their wedding ( or lack thereof, at least remembrance wise) and Chloe announcing her pregnancy, how Oliver was going to be a father. He could see the first smile his son gave him as the flashes continued, how worn out Chloe looked yet so ecstatic. The way she looked up at him when she announced that she decided to name their son after Oliver himself, ‘ Oliver Jonas Queen JR ‘ —- He had never felt so happy and thankful in his entire life. — That was suppose to be the start of the rest of their lives, he could have never imagined it would have ended now, while he still had so much love to give and so much more to do. But he was content with it, he married the woman of his dreams and had a beautiful son, he even saved the world a few times, what more could a guy ask for?
His chest was still, no beat of a heart and pulse had long faded. He was gone.
“Chloe?” Clark asked, closing the bunker door behind him and punching in the code to lock it. Her sobs weren’t silent or quiet, they roared and echoed through the bunker “He’s dead, he’s gone.” She placed her forehead on Oliver’s, “Why him, Clark? Why him – “ Her words began to slur and blur together as Clark knelt down beside her, rubbing her back as he looked at Oliver’s body. Still, peaceful – and no hint of life. “Please tell me Lex is dead.” Chloe raised her head to look at Clark, pleading “Chloe..” He trailed off in a whisper “Tell me, Clark!” She yelled, “He’s injured.. he’s at the hospital. Olivers bow got him in the shoulder.” Clark spoke in a whisper as Chloe looked at him in disbelief, “You mean to tell me that, while my husband was dying – your best friend – father to my child – was dying, you were saving Lex?” She continued to cry, a look of disgust and hurt on her face “I’m so sorry,” Clark apologized, he should of listened to Oliver. “You are dead to me.” She whispered, the words burning with hate as she turned her gaze back to Oliver, continuing to sob and plead to God that he be given a second chance, but the words were met with silence.
“Mommy?” A small voice caught Chloe’s attention, looking up at her son who had tears in his own eyes “Is daddy gone?” He cried, confused. “Only for right now.” Chloe gave a small smile.Only for right now, she thought to herself.
By now you know that I’d come for you, no one but you, yes, I’d come for you.And I’d fight for you, give my life for you. You know I’d always come for you.
