Honestly pretty unlikely of him to actually get up and fetch you an orange. Cause most of the times when you guys do hang out, he's very tired out from training all day and too sore to stand.
But he will get you one when he actually has the energy for it... Only after giving you a long stare that leaves you questioning you relationship though.
Would peel it after heaving a sigh through his nose. Would not wash it or peel the sticker.
Would correct you and say that this is a tangerine and not an orange.
Would lean back on the opposite end of the couch and jokingly toss a few pieces aiming for your mouth. Would stop only after it hits you eye. And then feed you one by one.
You eat one, he inhales two.
Would linger his fingers in your mouth cause.. He likes the feeling and it reminds him of last night's activities.
Also stares at you while you chew like 🔴🔴
Would not clean up the left over trash and just leave it laying on the table and fall asleep on your lap cause the trash can is in the kitchen.

Un yeah no. Ain't happening unless you guys fought and he really messed up or you're literally sick. Other than that it's most likely you who's fetching the orange. He can't afford to do stuff with this fresh manicure.💅✨

Laziest piece of shit on the face of this earth.
Would get up to fetch you one but would walk so slowly AND INTENTIONALLY
LIKE BRO IS JUST TRYING TO PISS YOU OFF THAT'S IT
Would peel it for you but would literally be so fucking slow. Would also peel off the white stringy just for added suspense. Would fasten his pace just a little when you grunt or yell at him but would slow down again minutes later.
Would feed himself three pieces before feeding you one. Bro calls it 'boyfriend tax'.
Would gather all the peels and aim for the trash can. If they don't make it, then it's place is on the floor cause it's not gonna be him getting up to pick up that trash.

You would be surprised if he even knows how to do it cause he's had most things spoon fed to him in life when it comes to labors like these.
He gets up to fetch you one and tosses it at you halfway back to the couch. You better catch it or he's gonna roast you.
But he aimed pretty well, at your chest to be specific. What a pervert but anyway.
Would sit down and quirk a brow at you when you hold it out to him and ask him to peel it.
Very confused as to why you can't do it yourself. But he's smart and figures out that it's probably some sort of trend you saw on social media.
So he begins to act like a chivalrous knight. A bit of a naughty one though.
Would sit super duper close to you, like basically an inch away from being on your lap and stare at you as you chew with a smirk on his face, acting like a 90's housewife who's just succeeded in killing her husband. Unnerving.
Would ask you to lick off the juices that dripped onto his hand cause he was too rough when peeling. And would stare as you do it with a light blush dusted across his face. Is totally imagining his thing in place of his fingers.

Pretty likely to ask a servant to get one for you but also pretty likely to fetch one himself.
Would peel it for you himself, zero hesitation.
Would cringe though when the juices spray on him and gets on his black clothes which would lead to a noticeable stain, at least in his eyes.
Wouldn't throw a fit in front of you though and would continue to peel.
Would feed them to you but using a fork. He really doesn't wanna risk you bitting him cause he doesn't like the feeling. And also because he's classy.
Would plate the orange on the finest china and would clean up the trash afterwards like a gentleman.

Would bicker a little at first but would get it for you anyway.
Would try to experiment for a moment and see if she can peel it with a knife made out of ice.
Spoiler: it worked too well and now you have tangerine juice all over your precious girlfriend and the couch.
The tangerine looks like it just went through a lobotomy.
Girly is literally so embarrassed, red in the face and panicking. Apologizing profusely.
You help her get up and walk her to the bathroom to clean up and fetch some clothes for her.
And then clean up the floor and the couch.
2/10 but I'm sure she would've done fine if she hadn't tried experimenting.
10/10 for cuteness though.

Would have it laying in a fruit bowl right on the living room table.
Would peel so skillfully. Get every white tringy bit and doesn't spill a single drop or break the skin.
You almost feel bad eating it cause if looks so perfect.
Would give you an annoyed stare if you refuse to eat though, like 'why'd you make me do shit when you aren't even gonna eat it? '
Please eat it or his perfectionist mind is gonna start thinking that he didn't peel it well enough.
Would stare at the tangerine and would and would be salivating inside his mouth. Would not eat until you almost hand feed him.
Would not let you hand feed him and picks it from your hand and then eats it.

Dust, Volume 10, Number 8
Tumblr media
Orcas (not Oasis)
Welcome to our all-Oasis edition of Dust!
Just kidding. We slog through August bemused by the excitement over big ticket tours, though we will, if pressed, admit to a fondness for “Wonderwall,” a song often sung jubiliantly by someone we love on the way to track meets and XC ski practice and theater rehearsal years ago (though not as many years ago as it first emerged).
Anyway, we once again trawl the slush pile for the good stuff, opine briefly on its merits and share it with you. We’re sure you’ll find out what the Gallagher brothers are up to from other sources.
This month’s contributors included Bryon Hayes, Ian Mathers, Jonathan Shaw, Tim Clarke, Jennifer Kelly, Bill Meyer, Mason Jones and Christian Carey.
Ark Zead — Niptaktuk (Glacial Movements)
The Italian label Glacial Movements specializes in music that’s chilled, immense and slow, just like its namesake. Niptaktuk continues this icy throughline, offering a series of highly resonant, frost-tinged drone passages. The creator, of which no information is known, sourced these textures from gongs and singing bowls, stretching the frequencies into lengthy, subtly shifting tone clouds. They cleverly balance lighter shades against darker hues, layering pre-dawn shimmer over sub-sonic bass pulses. The delicate patter of scraped and stroked metal adds a sense of the real to these otherwise uncanny soundscapes. Ark Zead drew influence from the cold northern Canadian winter when they created these sounds, yet the experience of listening doesn’t evoke frostbite or blinding blizzards. Instead Niptaktuk, which is an Inuit word that implies oncoming clear skies, is a remedy against frostiness, a kernel of warmth that seeks to melt the winter ice.
Bryon Hayes
The Body & Dis Fig — Orchards of a Futile Heaven (Thrill Jockey)
At this point, at least going by actual releases, surely there are no greater collaborators in heavy music (in all its forms) than The Body. In addition to their stellar work as “just” a duo, Chip King and Lee Buford have at this point collaborated with a real murderers’ row of bands and artists, and those albums absolutely refuse to stick to any particular formula. That they’d work with Dis Fig (aka Felicia Chen), who’s made an excellent, emotionally/sonically challenging record called Purge and sang on a full length by The Bug, makes perfect sense. The result, as with many “The Body &” LPs, is so seamlessly satisfying you’d think this was everyone involved’s main gig. The thunderous drums, harsh noise, and King’s peerless shrieks are all present, and Chen gives a hell of a lead vocal performance to centre it all. The closing one-two punch of “Coils of Kaa”/“Back to the Water” is one of the best endings any 2024 is going to get, Chen wailing in rage and despair as the music collapses buildings around her.

Demiser — Slave to the Scythe (Blacklight Media/Metal Blade)
youtube
Retrograde throwback thrash isn’t exactly a growth area in metal, or a particularly enlightened undertaking, culturally speaking. But dudes in denim and bullet-lined bandoliers don’t make records like Slave to the Scythe because they foresee mass-market opportunity or stadiums full of fans in the immediate future. Mostly they don’t see much future at all. Demiser seems to share those perspectives — live fast, die faster, have as much fun as possible in the brief and weird interregnum. Is Slave to the Scythe fun? Depends on your sense of humor, and your tolerance for metal’s more reductive shenanigans. The fellows in the band have given themselves stage names like Gravepisser (he plays guitar) and Infestor (he drums), and they have supplied us with the sublime song title “Hell Is Full of Fire”; no points for innovation, but maximum points for unconquerably up-for-it idiocy. Motörhead seems as significant to Demiser as early Exodus and Kreator (especially the genius of Pleasure to Kill). Sort of nice to hear a thrash record that’s more interested in the riffs than the solos. Sort of fun to play this record really, really loud. Sort of certain that doing so results in becoming materially stupider. That’s okay — it makes that aforementioned lack of a viable future a little less awful to contemplate.
Jonathan Shaw
Dummy — Free Energy (Trouble In Mind)
Dummy’s debut, Mandatory Enjoyment, lived up to its title; it was a record difficult not to appreciate. In her Dusted review, Jennifer Kelly praised it as “a listening experience that simultaneously braces and soothes, agitates and lulls.” Dummy’s second album, Free Energy, has a similar appeal, but knocks this listener off balance with its bizarre fixation on dated drum machines and backwards sounds that bring to mind the baggy indie-dance of the 1990s. You know the stuff: Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, Jesus Jones, Pop Will Eat Itself. There are some great songs here, such as “Nine Clean Nails,” but you have dig around amongst the misfires to find them. Dummy still have an ear for a good tune, so you can forgive their more questionable aesthetic decision-making.
Tim Clarke
“Father” John Misty — Greatish Hits: I Followed My Dreams and My Dreams Said to Crawl (Sub Pop)
youtube
With streaming supplying abundant amounts of playlists, one might reasonably ask why a greatest hits compilation would be useful. Curation instead of algorithms. “Father” John Misty’s Greatish Hits presents the high points in his catalog, beginning with early songs“Real Love Baby” (2016) and “Nancy from Now On” (2012). It is by no means a chronological survey, nor is it front-loaded like so many collections and playlists. The popular “I Love You Honeybear” (2015) is saved for the penultimate track. The finale, “I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All,”  is new. At eight and a half minutes long, it stretches out with saxophone, bongo, and electric piano solos interspersing bluesy pop vocals. Worth the wait - don’t skip ahead!
Christian Carey
Ben Felton A Lot (Island House)
Ben Felton lets the drones linger, layering sounds on top of sounds, like primary-toned transparencies on an overhead projector. You can spend this album watching the colors these tones make when the light shines through them, hitting one, two, three or more guitar/synth textures before getting to the other side. Complex yes, but peaceful, drowsy almost. One track called “A Foghorn or a Loudspeaker,” sounds like just that, an uneasy truce between natural serenity and amplified buzz and hiss. The space it lives in is large and echoey, a cathedral or, more likely, a vast underground cavern with water lapping at the walls. Occasionally, the electronic mode predominates as in the airy percolation of “What You Need.” Yet though the blippy motif is bright and uncorroded, it sits atop a woozy soup of tone; guitar notes crash in sporadically intimating a rustier, more industrial territory nearby. Felton comes from New York but now resides in more bucolic Carrboro, North Carolina. His soundscapes find a meeting place between folk-adjacent ambience and rougher, noisier music. The album gets more propulsive as it goes. Shaken-not-stirred “The Fifth Day,” turns a three-note upward lilting motif into something approaching rock anthemry. You can’t blame the sustained notes for hanging around. It’s nice here, and you want to stay.
Jennifer Kelly
Margarida Garcia And Manuel Mota—Domestic Scene (Feeding Tube)
Upright electric bassist Margarida Garcia and electric guitarist Manuel Mota are part of Lisbon, Portugal’s experimental/improvisational music scene and have worked together with and without the participation of others on seven records besides Domestic Scene over the past decade. It is their first LP to be released in the USA, and there’s something poetic about that fact, because it feels like an echo of the work of one American musician — Loren Connors, and more specifically, 21st century Connors in solo mode. It shares his sparseness, boiled-down lyricism and willingness to disappear into a haze of noise. Since Garcia has associated with him at times, there’s definitely a shared aesthetic. However, these are not young copycats. Mota’s spare progressions proceed according to a different logic, purged of blues and baroque elements, guided by a north star of sequential consonance that adds up to quiet dissonance. And Garcia’s subdued, bow-born cries have an ability to compound, making the music thick with atmosphere, but still stingy with note counts. Play it late.
Bill Meyer
Geneva Jacuzzi — Triple Fire (Dais)
Geneva has been making bedroom synth pop for years. On Triple Fire (named after her astrological sign), the production values tick upward, and several of the songs are club ready. “Laps of Luxury” is a case in point, with Geneva’s dulcet singing abetted by backing vocals, early digital synth sonics, and mechanized beats. “Scena Ballerina” recalls her early bedroom pop, with a taut riff and harmonic swerves. Trebly synths and out of the box percussion underscore an emotive vocal on “Take it or Leave it.” Geneva’s speechsong in “Art is Dangerous” and “Speed of Light” recalls Laurie Anderson’s 1980s work, while “Heart of Poison” has an art rock ambience that incorporates tenor saxophone and is rife with shimmering synths. “Rock and a Hard Place” is an aggressive example of dark wave electronica. The closer, “Yo-yo Boy” is an anthemic piece of minimal synth-pop that reminds listeners of Geneva’s roots while presenting memorable tunefulness.
Christian Carey
Katatonic Silentio — Axis Of Light (Midnight Shift)
Axis Of Light by Katatonic Silentio
Italy-based Mariachiara Troianiello is a long-time DJ, and independent audio and ethnomusicology researcher at the University of San Marino. She also creates electronic music under the name Katatonic Silentio, and on Axis of Light explores a spatial dub, filled with palpating beats and flickering synthesizer sounds. The five tracks on this EP are all based on rhythmic frameworks that skitter and thud with a dark, night-time vibe for the most part. As the title indicates, opener “Drip in the Cave” is indeed subterranean in nature, with rubbery pads and liquid drums reverberating in tactile space. “Bridging the Gap” is lighter and bouncier, bubbling at a fast tempo and filled with electronic hoots and blips. The other pieces mix slow with fast, and machine-like rhythms with heartbeat-like pulses, all swirling in a warehouse ambience populated by ghostly static, quiet bells, or spooky, whistling tones. It’s all a neat combination of machine world and organic atmosphere, like a science-fiction world populated by real, messy people.
Mason Jones
Nicole Marxen — Thorns (Self-Release)
youtube
Nicole Marxen puts an eerie shimmer over rough crescendos of metallic noise, keening in the ghostliest, most disembodied way amidst vibrating slabs of guitar sound. “Thorns,” the album’s spiritual center, floats a chilly line of vocal melody—think Beth Gibbons or Chelsea Wolfe—over a machine-like industrial beat. Fragility blooms in an apocalyptic afterworld. “The Executioner” is heavier, more ominous, slithering to life out of the flickering buzz of downed powerlines. A stolid march emerges soon, swaggering with drums, swelling with amp-frying volume. Marxen presides like a high priestess, unperturbed amid flares, fills and violence. Like Jarboe astride a Justin Broadrick wall of noise, she stakes her claim, with operatic trills and whispered confidences. Dramatic, large-scale stuff.
Jennifer Kelly
Magda Mayas’ Filamental — Ritual Mechanics (Relative Pitch)
Keyboardist Magda Mayas’ music has often evidenced expansive thinking, but it took the resources of a festival to first bring her large group Filamental together. Once convened, she took full advantage of her octet’s assembled potentialities for imagination and sound. Having had one such experience, Mayas wasn’t going to wait for a festival to marshal such a breadth of mindpower and material again, nor was she going to let the impediments to travel and gathering imposed by a world pandemic get in the way. So, she sent out an invitation to an invitation to Filamental’s members and turned their gathered input into two pieces that run a bout 20 minutes in length. Each sets small, contrasting gestures dancing atop a consonant surface of elongated, layered sonorities. Ritual Mechanics is not so much a drone piece as an expression of continuous, focused action, richly detailed and consistently focused.
Bill Meyer
Rob Mazurek — Milan (Clean Feed)
Rob Mazurek has been recording for nearly three decades and performing much longer. His methods encompass composition and improvisation using brass, electronics, voice, and other instruments. In any body of work so broad, there are themes, some more dominant than others. Milan is a successor to Rome, which together comprise a smaller trend that involves recording solo performances in Italian radio studios with nice pianos. Recorded nine years apart, they offer a measure of how Mazurek’s work has changed in that time. Instead of cornet, he plays concert and piccolo trumpets; sternly ceremonial vocalizing and fistfuls of percussion dropped purposefully into the piano assert a more explicitly ritual intent. And, perhaps reflecting the amount of work that Mazurek has done with Damon Locks of late, the electronics now include playback options, so that vocal and instrumental samples (Is that Sun Ra I hear in there? And maybe some Ocora ethnic recordings?) as well as beat patterns muscle their way through the sizzle and smash of the prepared piano. Explicitly conceived as a journey, it’s quite a trip. Mazurek’s ensemble work can be pretty widescreen, but Milan reminds us that he can be epic on his own.
Bill Meyer
Nadja — Jumper (momentarily records)
Out of the many, many records put out by ambient and/or doom metal duo Nadja, it’s truly rare to find one that doesn’t feature Aidan Baker’s guitar in one form or another. But on Jumper, originally released as a bit of an art object on cassette (the online cover art is a look at the contraption that the tape comes in), he restricts himself not just to their drum machine but to layering and processing one particular pattern from it. Leah Buckereff provides bass, a more typical entry in the credits of their release, but here the way the slowly accreting digital noise plays over and around its pulses and feedback gives the whole album a very distinct feeling. Despite the use of drum machine there’s almost no rhythm to the whole hour here (until a surprise right at the end that catches me off guard every time), instead the effect is one of meditative harshness. The result is absolutely industrial, like a factory that’s weirdly compelling to listen to.
Ian Mathers
Orcas — How to Color a Thousand Mistakes (Morr Music)
Orcas — Rafael Anton Irisarri and Benoît Pioulard — haven’t recorded together in a decade, but they have been abundantly busy with their own projects. How to Color a Thousand Mistakes is consistent with past Orcas recordings and also reflects the music they have made in the interim. “Wrong Way to Fall” stands out in both regards, with Pioulard’s husky vocals over shimmering electric guitar solos, synth riffs and minimally complicated, but driving, drums. “Riptide” is populated by a number of different synth parts against a terse countermelody in the guitar. “Swells” has a strong vocal performance, while vibrato and pitch bends in the synths and economical guitar parts make for a memorable arrangement. “Fare” covers all the bases, with Pioulard’s voice double-tracked in a soaring chorus alongside mellifluous electronics, emphatic guitars, and plenty of drum fills. The recording’s closer, “Umbra,” has an extended introduction with a bass melody and warm synths. Then tangy dissonance and glissandos abound in both voice and instruments. It epitomizes the atmospheric textures that Orcas seem able to summon at will.
Christian Carey
Oxygen Destroyer — Guardian of the Universe (Redefining Darkness)
Guardian of the Universe by Oxygen Destroyer
Guardian of the Universe is another slab of monster-movie-themed, death-metal-inflected thrash from Oxygen Destroyer. The Seattle-based band’s previous LP, Sinister Monstrosities Spawned by the Unfathomable Ignorance of Mankind (2021), expanded their long-standing kaiju theme to include colossal beasts from outside the canon of the Tojo Studios Godzilla movies. The new record shifts tactics, focusing exclusively on Gamera and the giant turtle’s films for one of Tojo’s competitors, Daiei Films. It’s hard to know how much the record will appeal to listeners for whom those inside-baseball kaiju references mean little to nothing. But if you’re down for songs that attempt to replicate the absurd pleasures of Gamera in flight — head and limbs retracted into its massive shell, which then spins and shoots sheets of sparks from the holes, natch — this may be the record for you. Guardian of the Universe is non-stop fireworks: crazy, thrashy riffs; maniacal flat-out sprints; dive-bombing guitar solos. Should we take any of it seriously? This reviewer won’t hold forth (again) on the cultural stakes of post-war kaiju films. If you know, you know. And mostly what matters here is the band’s complete conviction and the joys of the music’s excesses. In these dog days of summer, it’s exactly what some of us need.
Jonathan Shaw
Peel Dream Magazine — Rose Main Reading Room (Topshelf)
Rose Main Reading Room by Peel Dream Magazine
It’s been four years since I’ve checked in on Peel Dream Magazine, whose second album Agitpop Alterna I described in my Dust review as “just like early Stereolab, with occasional blasts of shoe-gazey guitar thrown in for good measure.” I missed PDM’s third album Pad, so this brings us to album number four, Rose Main Reading Room. There’s still plenty of Stereolab in the mix, especially in the Mary Hansen-style backing vocals, the Farfisa, and the squelchy synth sounds (see “Oblast”). But here there’s more of a lean towards the baroque pop of Sufjan Stevens circa Illinois, mainly thanks to the chunky glimmer of vibraphone and the spiraling flute lines, which really brighten up proceedings. This balance between droning indie-rock and tuneful pop is very pretty, with sufficient musical complexity to invite rewarding repeat listens.
Tim Clarke
Plastic Bubble — Circular Breathing EP (Garden Gate/Moon Control)
The Circular Breathing EP by Plastic Bubble
Here’s a slab of happy, giddy, psychedelic garage rock which, except for the 2024 release date, wouldn’t be out of place in the Elephant Six universe. Lexington, KY’s Matt Taylor and Elisa McCabe are the chief blowers of bubbles, spinning out rough but iridescent songs like “Recontextualize,” where a guitar vamp grinds but vocals drift in pop ideality, “ah, ah, ah,” indeed. A classic indie boy-girl vibe permeates these five songs, with McCabe especially fetching in “Bright Morning.” “Forever” pulls back on the guitar roar to uncover a jaunty, girl-group bounce, with sweet counterparts and harmonies weaving in and around McCabe’s part. The set closes with a banger, part Who, part Fountains of Wayne, and all the way infectious, “Anything and Everything.”
Jennifer Kelly
SUUNS — The Breaks (Joyful Noise)
The Breaks by SUUNS
Elusiveness characterized SUUNS’ last album, 2021’s The Witness. As I noted in my Dusted review, “There’s no denying that its elusive character is part of its charm, but there are stretches where it feels more evasive than elusive, stubbornly refusing to engage more directly.” On their new album, The Breaks, the Montreal band are more direct in terms of the sounds they’re employing, but more evasive when it comes to songwriting. The majority of contemporary pop music is based around heavily effected vocal melodies and beats, which The Breaks seems to take as a cue towards similar immediacy. However, aside from the title track, the nagging piano of “Road Signs and Meanings,” and the loping stomp of opener “Vanishing Point,” this record is a tough nut to crack.
Tim Clarke
Tatsongs — Bushcraft (Self-Release)
Bushcraft by tat songs
Tatsongs are neither tat, nor really songs. The former implies fussy decoration, and these long, glacially evolving pieces seem as raw and elemental as rock formations. You can almost hear an icy wind blowing through their sheered off contours. The latter argues for a Pavlov’s buzzer of pleasing tone arrangements, and Tatsongs’ Tom Sadler is really not concerned whether you can guess then next 10 seconds of his compositions from the preceding 20. But even so, there’s something to be said for looming, sheeny layers of guitar and synth sounds that carve space and time into epic, barren landscapes. Tones vibrate in and out of true, zooming close and fading back, twitching in rhythm and coalescing in static fuzzed drones. Not a song in the bunch, nor much embroidery, but powerful stuff nonetheless.
Jennifer Kelly
TELESTIALVISIONS — Taurus in a Field (Island House)
Taurus in a Field by TELESTIALVISION
As Dittocrush, Pittsburgh resident Trevor D. Crush assembles tape loops into ambient symphonies. He often adds layers of live instrumentation from other musicians, such as Island House associate Chaz Prymek (Lake Mary, Fuubutsushi) and guitarist Ryan Fedor. TELESTIALVISIONS is his latest project, a tag team with New York guitarist Brinton Jones. The pair offer up a frothy brew that tastes rich and complex. Their debut Taurus in a Field is a pair of woozy collages that, while undeniably loose, are sharp in focus when compared to Dittocrush’s ghostly soundscapes. Crush’s tapes construct tangible shapes that intersect in a variety of patterns, while Jones unveils angelic melodies with his guitar. These two are telling a story that’s more Borges than Burroughs, a fantastical tale that defies conventional logic but manages to meander toward a graspable conclusion.
Bryon Hayes
Tycho — Infinite Health (Ninja Tune)
Infinite Health by Tycho
Tycho is Scott Hansen, and Scott Hansen is a designer. You can hear Hansen’s day job in Tycho’s music: the clean lines, the smart use of space, the sheer digestibility of it all. But should music go down quite this easy? Listening to Infinite Health feels a little bit like you’re at a trendy gym, playing a bit-part in an advert, or hitting up a bar packed with influencers. The common denominator is wanting to feel seen; everything plays a part in attracting attention. The synths sound like Boards of Canada, some of the funkier electro-pop moments sound like Daft Punk, and there’s an expensive sheen over everything. It’s hard to deny it’s appealing, but it also feels like experiencing capitalist obsolescence in real time.
Tim Clarke
White Collar—S/T (Static Shock)
White Collar by White Collar
Listeners with a long memory for North American hardcore might flash on those mid-1980s records by White Flag when listening to this new release from White Collar. Like that earlier Inland Empire band, White Collar frequently turns its critical gaze and its caustic smart-assery on the contemporary cultural climate of punk and politics as lifestyle (and your reviewer uses that odious term advisedly here). Songs like “Compassion Fatigue” and “Petition Signer” snarl at and spit on liberalism’s excesses of self-righteous smugness, to often hilarious effect. There’s a puritanical element to Gen Z’s dispositions and discourse that White Collar finds deeply irritating — not that the band is against strong ethico-political speech; check out “Meat Market” and “Equal Wrongs.” This is not the space for sustained analysis of Gen Z punk, and the extent to which we may want some sort of political purity from punk in the first place. But certainly, it’s an intrinsic good for punk to have snotty, disputatious and nasty voices in the mix. White Collar’s songs are short and sharp, and vocalist Loosey C’s performance is memorably unpleasant. Snarl on, punks.

“Memoria polaroid” – un blog alla radio S23E39
Era da sei anni che non suonava una band dal vivo a polaroid, e quindi capirete l’emozione, le parole che si inceppano, le mani che si smarriscono tra il mixer e i microfoni dentro questa puntata. Le Ian Fays hanno sempre avuto un rapporto speciale con questo programma e con questa città, sin dal loro esordio di vent’anni fa. E quindi è stato davvero molto bello presentare assieme il loro ultimo…

The Legendary Ten Seconds is the vehicle for the work of Torquay, England-based artist Ian Churchward. When I first listened to this I thought this had to be a musician who started making music in the 1980s C86 scene. It looks like I was right as Churchward did record for John Peel as The Morrisons.
The voice! It really brings to mind Maxwell Farrington or Neil Hannon and The Divine Comedy. The songwriting recalls the work of Thomas Walsh/Pugwash, The Servants and David Westlake.
This appears to be self-released. The Legendary Ten Seconds have quite a catalogue you can work your way through.

mickey soft-domming ian in non-sexual ways
for example sensing when his husband wants some guidance through a task. it doesn't even have to be a particularly difficult task - he's literally stood there beside ian (and behind him) gently walking him through making dinner. giving him lots of "mhm, like that"s and "there ya go, big guy - looks good" and praise for doing a good job. the food is always bomb, and there's nothing quite as tasty as the proud smile that beams across ian's face.
another example is how mickey can sniff out when ian's being stubborn about basic care things. like when their schedule has been weird for the day so their routine is off, and ian insists that he's fine, but he definitely hasn't eaten enough and is being a huge crab-ass about it. but instead of nagging him, mickey will drop into his lap and peel open an orange or something for them, very quietly talking to him as he pops a slice into ian's mouth, and then one for himself.
sensing when ian wants to stop making decisions and just breathe. so he spreads his thighs and invites ian over to sit on the floor between them, facing him. and ian does it. happily. he's perfectly content to disengage as mickey leads his head to the side until he's resting against the inside of his leg, his eyes drifting shut as mickey cups his other cheek and slowly strokes his thumb over his face.
the positioning of it has ian's body relinquishing power by pure muscle memory alone. and sometimes he even falls asleep like that - his cheek smushed and a tiny drool spot dampening mickey's pants. (mickey lets him doze a little, and then eventually helps move him up onto the couch so he can lie down between his legs, the side of his face smushed into mickey's chest this time.) when ian lays with his full body-weight on top of him, mickey knows he's finally gotten exactly what he needs. which makes him feel relaxed too.
idk, just...non-sexual domming - extra soft style. i think about it a lot.

Emily Prentiss x reader
Warnings: uhh some violence against Ian Doyle not too much tho, Emily's a bit delulu but aren't we all
Summary: emily begins to see your face around more, but it's impossible. You were dead. But when Ian Doyle is rumored to escape, you couldn't stay dead forever.
A/n: sum slight, sum sweet, sum short😋
Tumblr media
She was walking to the steps of her apartment when she first saw you. She at first thought it was the sleep deprivation catching up. You couldn't be here...you...you weren't there. She told her self that as she walked up the stairs to her apartment.
Unlocking the door and feeling uneasy. That couldn't be right. She hasn't thought of you in awhile...she avoided you in her memory. You were apart of a time she...she can't let the team find out about you.
How did you find her? The question ran in her head as she sat at her table. Head in hands as she just tried to wrap her head around it.
Sergio jumped into her lap. He was wet. "Were you out in the rain, buddy?" She pet his back, but then it dawned on her. She didn't check the house.
She moved carefully, trying not to alarm the intruder if there was one. Checking each room carefully before heading into her bedroom. Finding the window open and a little puddle.
Shaking her head she just scoffed. "You're crazy, Emily. She's not here...it's impossible." She took a few deep breaths.
But before she left the room she put her perfume on the lock, just in case. She followed her night routine still on edge. Eventually finishing and trying to catch some sleep.
~
A thud woke her from her sleep, if you could even call it sleep. She looked quickly to the window and finding it to be the closed still. But she was up...she might as well check the house once more.
"Serg?...Buddy you making a mess?" She called out. Hoping it was just the cat. Yet, he was asleep in his bed. Completely unbothered. Did she hear a thud? He would've woken up, right?
Emily ran her hands over her face, trudging back into her room. She didn't bother checking anything as she climbed back into the sheets. Closing her eyes and once again trying for sleep.
~
Her eyes slowly peeled open. The way she was laying had her facing her bathroom. And her body froze in terror. There you were. Standing. Looking at your reflection so casually.
Your head snapped over to her but it wasn't you. Your eyes were glowing red and you had this look of disappointment plastered on.
Emily shot up, sweat dripping off her body. Her head instantly shot to look into the bathroom. There was nobody.
Why? Why were you suddenly plaguing her thoughts? She was so sure it was over...you were lost in the case. One minute you were next to her, and then the literal next minute...tears were streaming down her face now.
Through tears she checked the time, she was already running late. So quickly, she pushed the day so far back into her memory and wiped her tears. Quickly working to get decent for work and dashing out the door.
~
It's been three days since she saw you...or maybe saw you. Her mind was all sorts of foggy and it was playing into her job now.
They were on a case somewhere. Derek and her were talking to a lady about some cab driver. They had just finished and watched her walk away.
Her blood ran cold as she glanced to where she could feel eyes on her. You stood on the corner, ready to cross, but you weren't looking at her. A car flashed by and suddenly you were gone. She couldn't think anymore.
"Prentiss?" Derek waved his hand in front of her. His eyes moved to match where she was looking, seeing nothing there. "Are you ok?"
She hummed and came back. "Huh? Yeah...sorry I just haven't been sleeping very well. I feel like I'm seeing things suddenly." She tried to joke around it, but Derek was a good friend.
He knew it was more but he wasn't going to push while on a case. Maybe back at the BAU where Garcia can also help figure it out. But until then, they had a case.
"Well, let's get this case over with and then you can take as much princess sleep as a possible." He lightly joked. Gaining a small smile from the woman.
~
She was back at the door to her apartment. There was this green box outside. Neatly wrapped. She knew that wrapping all too well. It made her stomach twist in ways she hasn't ever felt.
Her breathing picked up a little bit. Then her phone rang, she was quick to answer it. "Hey Emily!" Reid's voice came through.
He went on about a movie, but Emily was too busy clearing her house. Having to turn down his offer as she grabbed her files. Saying her goodbyes as she got back up, catching a glimpse of the mirror.
She met your eyes and immediately adjusted her hold on her gun. "What do you want?" She whispered.
"What?" Reid's voice was mere background noise.
Emily turned around and just saw the box from her door. "You don't scare me..." she called into her house. Her phone got thrown to her bed. "You're above this!"
She turned around the corner in hope to catch you. But then it dawned on her again, you can't be here. It's impossible. The paranoia is eating her alive.
Emily came back into her room, seeing her phone still on a call with Reid. "Shit.." she whispered as she picked up the phone. "Reid?"
"Sugar?!" Penelope's voice came loudly. "Are you ok?!"
"Emily?" Reid came in, Hotch close behind him.
Emily let a sigh out, "I'm fine...I'm just really tired. Sorry for worrying you guys." She was quick to hang up her phone. Giving them no space to continue to question.
She let her head fall back and groaned. Laughing at herself once again as she got ready to leave for the night.
The wrapping threw her off still. She wasn't going to let it be the reason something does happen. She knew how you wrapped your gifts. You gave her so many. You even explained why you wrapped how you did.
"It one, looks way cuter and is easy to unwrap. And two, it gives more precision to be precise and make sure it's perfect for the receiver. Come, I'll teach you and you can use it to become the second best gift wrapper. After me of course."
Your smile was huge that day. The two of you spent the day watching movies as you wrapped up your Christmas gifts for her.
~
The next morning, she walked into the bullpen. Confused as everyone was watching Hotch's office.
"What's going on?" Emily frowned. Coming up to everyone.
A few shrugged, but before anyone could answer Hotch came out. "Prentiss can I speak with you?"
She gave a nod and dropped off all her stuff. Walking into his office and seeing him and a file. "Sir?"
"This was left on my desk this morning. I was wondering if it meant anything to you?" He handed over the file.
She opened it and it was practically blank. The only thing in the middle of the paper was a picture of her and half another person who was kissing her cheek.
She tried not to freeze infront of her boss but it was too much for her to not. "Emily, do I need to be worried about your safety?" He leaned forward. "I can have cops outside your apartment if needed."
She shook her head. "Can I...can I keep this?" Her voice was shaky. Hotch had only seen her like this once before. With her friend awhile back.
"Are you going to make any irrational decisions if I say yes? The team can help you if you-" he stopped when she shook her head again. "Is everything all right?"
She took a big inhale, letting it go slowly and nodding. "I'll be ok...can I...um have the day though?" She asked.
It was easily granted to her as she recollected her stuff and left without much to say.
She wasn't going crazy...you were actually alive. But that would make sense on how you've been disappearing within seconds?
She tried to make it work, thinking all the possibilities that could explain something. Her thoughts carried her into her apartment.
It wasn't worth checking anything, if you were already getting in and out then...why can't you just come see her?
Why is it secrets?
An unwanted game of cat and mouse?
What is keeping you from her?
You know why, Em...you know why. Your voice rang in her head. She could hear how soft it still was. How much emotion you could hold within your words even just the word 'the'. You were her second half. The one who she could crumble against and it'd be ok. But she lost you. She might not get you back.
She flopped into the middle of her bed and cried. She was finally mourning you. In her own ball curled up. Staring blankly at the wall.
And on one blink, you were there. She could see you standing there. Head tilted just slightly to the left and smiling sadly at her.
"Are you even real..."she mumbled. Emily was tired of seeing you everywhere and it not being you.
So when you moved closer and placed your warm hand on her cheek she gasped. It didn't even take a second before she was latching onto you and crying heavily.
You held her back in silence. Just letting her get everything out. You didn't mind it though. It felt natural.
It felt like the first time you held her. And she could feel it too. That both hearts were full again, designed to be one with each other.
"But you're..."she sobbed into you. Clutching you tighter as she began to struggle to breath.
"Hey, hey...just follow mine." You led the deep breathing. "There you go hun, steady breathing ok?"
She pulled back from you and really took in your face. Holding your face and crashing her lips to yours. It made you laugh a little as you kissed back. It was well overdue.
"I thought you died?" She dragged you to the bed, neither of you thinking as you laid down and let her lay on top of you. Your hand finding its home in her hair as you detangled it.
You hummed softly, "it was my only way to protect you. Sometimes, we have to make choices for the better even if it means the worse for ourselves. Doyle...he..."
The name made her tense slightly under your touch, "what about him?..."
"He...he had bad plans and I found out about them. I told Sean and he pulled me out instantly. They killed me off and reassigned me....I watched you from afar recently because...he's escaped. He's been watching you and your team. And if I knew any better...we're the final two. I wanted to see you one more time." You explained to her. Hating that this is what was happening to you both.
She held you even tighter now. "How's everyone else?" She was scared to ask. More scared for the answer as you took a deep breath in.
"They don't know I'm alive, but they know Ian is out." You answered quietly. There was more to why you showed up and you knew she was avoiding asking you anyways.
She was silent as she laid with you. But in her own mind, she was a wreck. She didn't want to really think about why you were here. She already knew.
"Will you keep me safe...for just tonight?" She almost sounded afraid. "Even if you're not here when I wake up...just one more night?"
The moonlight made her eyes sparkle in a way you would be a monster if you said no. So you did all you could, you pulled her so incredibly closed and held her till she fell asleep.
However, you were wide awake. You knew you next move. You were sworn to protect Emily Prentiss ever since you met Ian Doyle. He was a man of secrets and you pulled apart each one just for her.
You both were at risk here, but you just wouldn't let the risk go far for her. That's why it pained you to leave her before her alarm went off. You placed a delicate kiss to her hairline before climbing out the window.
You didn't leave her with nothing though, that morning when she woke up she saw the small box on her nightstand. It had your signature bow o top and a small note next to it. Till we meet again, i promise.
~
It had been awhile. Rumors are Ian Doyle was dead, but nobody could confirm it. Nobody but you.
You had caught him when you least wanted to. When it was right there with Emily. Sitting across from her and threatening her team.
"I'm going to take the only thing you care about...your life."
That was the only thing that man had to say for him to become your only focus. You had followed him for days. Left him clues you were lurking. You knew your presence made him a bit uneasy. That's what you did best after all.
You noticed how his actions towards Emily moved slower than planned. He was trying to lure you out with her, but it didn't work as well.
You were in this man's home. That was his only warning you gave. After that everything was fair game. Especially once you heard he was continuing his plans. It made your blood boil and you felt no mercy.
So, you followed Ian on a motorcycle, it was easy and fast, just your style. He walked into a pub with a few guys, but that never stopped you.
You got a table to keep them in sight while you out of theirs. And when he got up and went to the bathroom, that was your opening. With a silent fire, you made him defenseless. You took your time in there with him. Making sure he felt the years of pain he caused. Then you left him there for someone else to find.
Leaving the state, the country, anything to distance yourself then. You left for a few years. Five in total (there was a lot to clear up before you could). Finally though, you'd get to be with her.
You wanted it to be a surprise so you figured, what better surprise then at work? You had gotten in as early as possible. Slipping a little note and little box on her desk before leaving unnoticed.
And by eight in the morning, you had received a text saying it can't be true. It made you smile as you texted her back that you promised her to come back.
As she read it she fiddled with the ring on her finger, bringing Penelope and JJ's attention to it. They were having lunch in Emily's office.
"Woah! When did you get that?" The blondes instantly grabbed for her hand. Inspecting the dark red gem. "They must really like you..." JJ joked.
Earning laughs in return, "I got it awhile ago...from an old friend." There was a distant tone in each word.
Neither blonde believing it was just a friend. They shared a look and rushed off. Hiding in Garcia's bat cave until the end of the day.
Emily was going to find it weird, but she didn't want to ruin her mood. She was excited for your next appearance.
What she didn't expect was it to be at the bureau. When you waltzed in with a 'delivery'. You made a beeline for her desk with a goofy smile as she tried to not laugh at your getup.
"Are you Emily Prentiss?" You tried to contain your smile, failing miserably as tears sprung to her eyes.
She didn't care anymore she just hugged you tightly. She had you again and it felt right finally. Nothing was getting her as long as you were there.
The room stared at you two. Who were you that Emily was crying the way she was? They could only see your lips move but couldn't hear anything.
"I know sweet girl..." you hummed. Holding her head in place as she cried heavily. "Just follow mine." And you led the breathing once again. Calming her down to get her to look at you. "Well look at you FBI section chief Prentiss." You eyed her playfully. Getting a strong wack to your arm. She aged beautifully.
"You don't get to joke after what you did." She frowned seriously now. "You've risked yourself too far." She was silent for a second, knowing she wanted to know. "What did you to him? Is he really dead?"
"The night he was in a pub... He went to the bathroom and I was gone before his guys could even think of the possibility. He didn't deserve mercy." You kept it short. There wasn't much to tell anyways, you moved quick in your line of work.
"So are you.." she let her question trail off, but you knew what she was asking.
"In a sense, yes. There is no real harm against me or you. Therefore I have no reason to stay moving." You bobbed your head, letting Emily's smile infect you.
She fisted your shirt and pulled you close, kissing you sweetly but fiercely. And when she pulled away she looked at you with a hopeful shimmer. "Move in with me then. Stay with me this time."
You easily agreed to her, not needing to even think twice about it. And that's when you both heard a throat clear.
Penelope was behind on everything as she watched the end of you and Emily's moment. "I want a name, now." She demanded from her spot in the couch.
The two of you laughed at her tone, but you stepped slightly back for Emily to take the lead. It was her choice if the team got to know more about you or not.
"This is Y/n." Was all she said, but that's all you needed to know there was still so much for you two to talk about first. "I'm gonna take a second lunch," she smiled at her colleagues before collecting her stuff.
There were many unanswered questions as you left hand in hand with Emily. Penelope and JJ began to share many possibilities on what could be happening. But they would all have to wait till they finally did get their answers.

the secret of us, chapter three.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆𖦹.✧˚
charles was just about to to drive out the paddock when he heard his phone ring echo through the car. once he saw lewis's name appear up on the dashboard he hesistated to answer. sure him and lewis were friendly but they would never call one another.
pressing the button on his steering wheel, charles answers the call.
"hey lewis what's up?? is everything okay?" charles asks, a sense of urgency hidden in his tone.
lewis takes a breath before speaking. he didn't know how he was going to break the news to charles, in knowing that you two are so close.
"no actually um it's about y/n" he admits.
charles tuts once he hears that, a presumption entering his mind.
"i told u to stay away from her man god what did u do now?"
"i didn't do anything to her, it was her ex"
"did you just say her ex?!"
"yes"
"fuck is she okay"
"yeah i think so, i beat the shit out of that bastard and he ran off thank god but she seemed pretty shaken up"
"oh shit god i knew something was up why tf did i leave her alone"
"hey hey its not your fault all that matter is that shes okay"
"ik ik.....wait is she with you right now"
"no she drove off, and she got acc rly pissed at me"
charles shakes his head. "she always does this, whenever someone wants to get close to her and actually wants to help her she just pushes them away"
"can you please check on her, i just want to make sure she's okay"
at lewis's words charles smiles. he can tell that lewis actually does care about your wellbeing and is being sincere.
"i will ofc"
"thanks, okay bye then"
"wait lewis"
"yeah??"
"thank you for taking care of her"
"it was no problem"
"okay bye mate"
"yeah bye"
with that lewis hangs up the phone, now feeling much more relaxed after having had that conversation. but there still in the back of his mind lingered your scared expression and the way the tears slid down your cheeks and glistened in the moonlight. in that moment lewis had never felt more heartache over something he couldn't control. it was strange because he barely knew you, but that didn't matter, he cared about you and
༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆𖦹.✧˚
the hustle of the paddock was exactly what you needed now. the sound of engines revving and the screeching of tires distracted your thoughts from reverting back to last night. you couldn't stop picturing his face once he saw you, it was one of concern and caring
ian had been sending you threats for the past month but you had tried to convince yourself that they were empty ones. your phone beeps as you make your way through the paddock to the media pen. there are multiple missed calls from charles and multiple text messages. you scan the it briefly only to find that lewis had confided in him. you sigh before texting charles back. you sent him a quick message confirming that you were okay and at the circuit but you didn't really want to talk about it, you just wanted to forget.
as you were strolling along, your eyes peeled to the contents on your phone you feel someone tap your shoulder. this frightens you so you jump in fear, because this interaction was displayed last night to you.
"hey hey it's me it's me" the voice eases comfortingly.
you sigh once you see it's george standing in front of you. you smile at him.
"are you okay?" he asked a bit confused by your reaction.
you nod in response to his question. "yeah no im fine, i was just so engrossed in my phone that i forgot everything around me.
george squints at you still unsure if you were telling the truth or not because all those times throughout your relationship with ian you had never come to him and told him the truth. he had to find out himself.
"hey why don't you hang out in the garage today?"
"i was actually just going to watch from hospitality"
your main concern was seeing him, so heading to hospitality seemed like the best option and you would do anything to avoid any possible interaction between the pair of you.
"but you enjoyed it so much last time.....and nobody even noticed you"
thinking back to last weekend brought a smile to your face and watching your brother looking at you pleadingly led you to take him him up on his request.
"okay fineeee"
"yayyy" george enunciates happily and pulls you in for a side hug. with george putting it on pole for this race you looked up at him with triumph. everyday you were proud of him and nothing would change that. you were lucky to call him your brother.
the sun had just begun to set and the grandstands had to begun to fill, and with that you and george headed over to the mercedes garage.
༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆𖦹.✧˚
it was nerve wracking entering the mercedes garage because it wasn't a matter of if you would see him but when.
george handed you a headset before departing to get set up for the race. you watched as he walked away but then your eyes averted to the other side of the garage. lewis was zipping up his suit and placing his earpieces in his ears, his surroundings unbeknownst to him. when he looked up he met eye contact with you, and almost immediately smiles and sends a subtle wave your way. the small gesture warmed your cheeks and you reciprocated it with a shy wave. you watched as he chuckled to himself before hopping into the car.
the two cars exited the garage and lined up on the grid and before you knew it the countdown had begun. the lights went out and the cars leapt off the line. you held your breath as they made there way past the first corner, but you let out a sigh of relief once you saw that george still maintained the lead and unscathed.
the team clapped at this and you also. your eyes stook to george timings but you couldn't help yourself but to take notice to lewis's race. lewis had gone for an overtake on charles leclerc and for a split second it seemed as though they would make contact. your heart was beating rapidly and you bit hard on your fingernails. it wasn't long before lewis had made the maneuver and the garage cheered.
a short while later the pair came in for their pit stop and exited the pit lane to find george still holding onto the lead with max verstappen close behind and then followed by lewis. over the radio george's engineer informs him that there are five laps to go but that max verstappen was now looming closer and gaining on him. it seemed that george's tires were graining alot and mac would have the advantage here of pitting later.
on the last lap the whole mercedes garage was sat on the edge of their seats, unsure if george could keep max behind him. george was now approaching the final corner but max was now assisted by drs. the two drivers were now side by side as they raced to the line. you stood motionless, waiting for the outcome. just at the chequered flag george edged an inch ahead of max and won !!
the garage erupted with cheers and cries of joy and you jumped up and down in happiness. as the cars pulled into parc-ferme the team ran out to congratulate both george and lewis. george jumped into the arms of his team and hugged toto before giving lewis a respectful hanshake.
now it was time for the podium, from which you witnessed with the team and watched as your brother stood on the top step of the podium, beaming with the trophy in his hand. when george spotted you he gave you a nod. lewis was then given his trophy and lifted it up in celebration and you clapped for him. lewis looked around in the crowd for any sign of you and once he spotted those gorgeous eyes he winked at you.
༘˚⋆𐙚。⋆𖦹.✧˚
after all the shenanigans of the podium celebration the two driver returned to the garage to celebrate properly with the team. you waited patiently as george was congratulated by many and watched on proudly. once you saw you waiting he interrupted a conversation and made his way over to him.
"im so proud of you" you say as you pull him in for a hug, he nearly has to bend down due to your height difference.
"thanks sis but truthfully i couldn't have done it without you"
you chuckle at this. "what do you mean"
"well you told me that my time would come and to never give up....and you were right".
you nod as you remember comforting him with those words after a tough race in f2.
just as he was about to speak again toto called him over to which he had to respond to. he raised his finger indicating he would be just a moment.
"hey"
a familiar voice makes you turn around. lewis is standing there smiling at you.
"oh hey.....oh um congrats today"
"thanks y/n". you liked the way he said your name.
"no problem" you whisper, looking down nervously because his gaze on you was making you flustered.
lewis clears his throat and hesitates before speaking. "are you after the other night?"
you look up at him and furrow your brows. "im fine" you say bluntly not wanting to discuss it further and especially not here. lewis nods and crosses his arms across his chest.
"you doing anything tonight?"
his question surpries you. "maybe why?"
"well maybe we could hang out?"
you smirk at his words. "that wouldn't be so bad"
lewis's eyes widen and just as he goes to speak and plan further george calls out to him.
"hey lewis me and some of the guys are going out for drinks, you coming?"
lewis looks at george and then back at you. you give him a stern look and a nod gesturing that he should go with george. he gives you a sympathetic look but you give him another look which involuntary makes him head over to george.
george stood there confused as to why his teammate was talking with his sister. you and lewis had never been introduced and you had never asked george to meet him. and from what george had seen it seemed as though the pair was friendly. part of him was convincing himself that he was being delusional and maybe simply you were congratualating him on a podium but it was the lewis had looked at you that had made him question. lewis had looked at you with a sense of desire and a sense of lust, one that would make someone question there entire existence. and yet you still hadn't the courage to admit you felt the same.

One Wish🌙
Another day another @galladrabbles and I’m back with part 4 of this series, prompted by @wehangout with “Descending” by Sleep Token!
⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂
“Mick, you okay?”
Mickey just stared at him, at that gorgeous furrowed brow he missed so much.
“Baby—”
“C’mere—”
They spoke at the same time. Ian didn’t hesitate, crawling on top of him, practically in his lap, pressing their lips together.
Mickey gasped into it, grasping onto thick muscles.
Real.
This is real.
“Want you,” Mickey breaths into Ian’s open mouth.
“Yeah?” Ian’s sexy, playful smirk makes his stomach twist.
“Fuck, yeah,”
“Guess I’ve been left no choice.” Then the sheets are being peeled away from his heated body.
“Missed you…”
Ian laughs, “Just fucked a few hours ago.”
Did they?

that tiktok trend when girls pretend their skin sheds once a month, except it’s debbie doing it on ian and mickey.
debbie thinks it’s actually ridiculous the type of things men will fall for. do they really believe women’s skin sheds??
so she puts on the only clear face mask she has - it’s probably about five years old but that doesn’t matter - and then waits for it to dry. once it’s not at all sticky, she traipses into the kitchen where her brothers are eating breakfast.
casual as anything, she picks at a bit of the face mask.
“oh my god, not this again. I hate it when this happens.” she groans and pulls out her phone camera to pretend to examine the ‘shedding’.
“what, debs?” ian asks, then looks up from his phone. he does a double take and suddenly looks at her with an expression which is both horrified and confused. “what the fuck is wrong with your face?”
mickey starts paying attention then, donning a similarly stunned face. “why the fuck is your skin peeling?!”
debbie sighs, rolling her eyes like they’re stupid. “you guys know nothing about women. our skin sheds once a month and this is really inconvenient because i have work today!”
ian gapes at her, and mickey mirrors it.
“what the fuck do you mean? your skin sheds? what the fuck?” ian asks hurriedly.
“that’s fucking gross.” mickey tells her, but gets up to look at her closer anyway, morbidly fascinated.
“you think normal bodily functions are gross? ugh, men.” debbie tries to act the same way she would if someone was grossed out by periods, and it seems to work.
when debbie starts peeling off the face mask, they both stare at her with horror.
“what do you mean??? that’s not normal!” ian tells her.
“yes, it is and i thought my family was much less mysoginistic than its acting.” she huffs.
“is that your skin?” mickey scowls, disgusted.
“yes!” she chides.
“that’s so gross.” he tells her again and she rolls her eyes.
“men are so dumb, did neither of you listen in biology?”
ian looks fucking hilarious, his face shifting to be entirely lost as he tries to remember some biology lesson he seemingly missed.
“i have a fucking sister and she never shed her fucking skin.” mickey says.
“because usually it happens at night.” debbie explains tiredly, trying to hide her laughter.
“ewww.” ian says as she peels a big chunk off, but he won’t stop staring.
“you’re both sexists.” she tells them as she leaves, cackling to herself the moment her back is turned.
