"The Sval, pirates of the utmost north, are wreaking havoc all over the continent of Igrith.

Vowing to bring an end to their endless plundering, three kingdoms send forth their royal heirs to the High Council, a powerful and influential faction of magicians, to plead for their help during this time of crisis.

The High Council oblige, creating the Royal Order, and the heirs remain; however, political tensions are high as old grudges resurface between the three kingdoms. And, as the pirates continue to have their way, they are determinedly bound to reach their breaking point.

Play as Aarya, the newest member of the High Council, and help manage the Royal Order.

Can you put an end to the Sval’s pillaging while keeping the kingdoms at peace? Or will you bring nothing but war upon them?

This game is an indirect sequel to 'Royal Alchemist'. The story takes place in the same world, but follows a different cast. Both games can be played separately from each other."

When she wanted to move out of her parent's place, some concessions had to be made, alright? She wasn't (and still isn't, thanks a lot Korzuman) exactly rolling in cash.

One of those concessions, unfortunately, was getting a roommate.

What is even more unfortunate is that said roommate turned out to be a bona fide demon which she only found out after a poorly planned Halloween prank.

The existential crisis that followed eventually calmed down after Korzuman promised (once he got his face back in order -- holy water is no joke apparently) that he meant no harm, adding that he actually just recently retired from his Hell-bound duties and wanted to spend some time in the mortal realm.

Ha. Retirement. What a concept.

Anyways.

Korzuman is a pretty good roommate all things considered. He's fairly quiet, doesn't bring guests over often, pays his half of the bills on time, and likes spending time with her cat, Domino.

There's just one thing.

"Will you pick your shit up!" Penny barks out, clutching Domino close to her chest, backing away from the kitchen as some slime. . .thing inched its way across the tile floor. "Seriously Korzuman, what the fuck?"

There's the long creak of his bedroom door opening and then he sticks his head out, thick coiled horns protruding from the top. "I'm sorry?" He asks, confusion written across his face.

"This!" She gestures wildly towards the kitchen floor. "Whatever is crawling across the floor and - ah! - coming closer to me, ohmygod." Penny backs further into the living room. Domino hisses at the thing and burrows deeper into Penny's arms.

He glances over, large black eyes narrowing, before he laughs, stepping out of his room. "Penelope, it's just Igrith!" He says, like that means anything to her as he walks across the room. "She just emerged from her hatchery. I didn't think she would be able to escape yet." Korzuman strides past Penny, oblivious to the incredulous what-the-fuck look on her face, and scopes the slime creature (?) into his arms.

"What a clever girl," he coos, running the back of his fingers down its top, careful not to nick it with his claws. "Oh yes you are. How wonderful."

Jesus Christ.

At least it hasn't tried to eat him yet. Or her. Or Domino.

"Okay, but what is it?" Penny asks as Korzuman settles into one of the kitchen table chairs, letting the thing -- well, Igrith apparently -- settles into his lap. "Usually your little experiments don't move. Around."

His eyes flick up to her face, a relaxed smile on his lips, as he pets Igrith. "Well, she's ours. Our first familiar."

"Ours? What do you mean ours?"

His head tilts to the side, looking at her like she's the idiot, and raises an eyebrow at her. "I mean she's ours. It's a very important milestone, you know, for a bonded pair to successfully forge their familiar." Korzuman smiles at her again, tips of his fangs just peaking out, looking entirely too pleased with the situation. "It's a good sign. Our first attempt being successful."

It's like her brain has stopped working. Information overload. Blue screen. Pump the breaks. What the fuck?

Bonded pair.

What the hell does he mean by bonded pair?

"I think we need to pause for a second and rewind a little bit," Penny says to him, sitting down on the nearby ottoman. Domino climbs her way out of Penny's arms to settle behind her back. "I am very, very confused about what's going on here. Like all of it."

"Well, I was a bit surprised that you decided to join on this endeavor, Penelope. Especially since we have not completed the bonding yet, but I was happy to see how committed you were."

"And how, exactly, was I committed to this?" She usually doesn't touch his magical, occult, whatever thingamabobs out of an abundance of caution. Or at least she thought she didn't.

He hums, stroking Igrith, who's more like a puddle now than the log-ish shape it was earlier. "You know, feeding her? Granted there is not much else you would be able to do since you are mundane and cannot access the ether and its powers. Still, since you fed her that did allow a connection to form between you two just as one formed between myself and Igrith."

Fed her?

Fed her.

Oh God.

She bites her lip, wanting to curse herself, and rubs one hand roughly across her face. "So, Igrith was in that box? On the kitchen counter?"

"Yes," Korzuman replies cheerfully. "Honestly, she emerged at just the right time. I was afraid I would have to transfer her to a new hatchery."

Fucking shit. You've got to be joking.

Penny thought it was one of those damn countertop composting bins. She thought Korzuman was trying to go green. You know, save planet Earth.

This is so embarrassing. What the hell is she supposed to tell him?

She looks down at Igrith, the slightly vibrating -- she'd almost call it purring -- black mass, and back up at Korzuman's face, looking at her like she's given him everything he could ever hope for, hesitating.

Dammit.

"It might take a while for Domino to adjust to her," Penny says finally, offering a small smile. "But - uh - she'll come around."

Your roommate is a hulking demon, a former warlord with millennia of combat experience, and the picture of menace and brutality. Apparently, they were under the impression that you’ve been flirting with them “with the subtlety of a volcano” and you have NO idea how.
