The thing is, Israel had most of the missiles intercepted. so because there was no "real damage" people will act like this is ok. Israel is a big bad bully, they can take it, so you can attack them freely and they cannot retaliate because you are the poor little mew mew whose citizens get killed because you don't give a crap about their life.
and the big guy attacking the small one is always bad, no matter what the small one did, right?

This is an interesting move from Mcdonalds.
It seems that every government in the middle east turned against the company after they were giving food to israeli soldiers, and about 5% of the company's earnings come from the middle east.
So what they've done is bought it back from the local franchise owners - but they're still operating. They've removed their "trust" so to speak and are taking it in house so they can have more control over what PR goes on.
I think this is largely unrelated to the protesting that has been done internationally. Their sales have been hurt, but mostly in the middle east. They're throwing local owners under the bus and saying "NO, you should NOT give away free things that make so many of our customers rage". They're not actually changing their minds on whether they support Israel's actions or something.

Disclaimer that I don't support half of what Israel has done and think things have gone too far and civilians need to be treated with respect but it is SO bizarre seeing posts on here like talking about the plight of palestinians but it's like "I can't think of anything more dehumanizing than [thing Palestinians have also been found guilty of doing]". I'm ripping my hair out fr like. Even if individuals out there are innocent, there is no "side" in this that is, and it shows how little people know when they make these comments scolding one group for doing something that the other has also done. Almost like the cycle of violence and retaliation leaves no one morally pure, but people who've been to maybe one protest in their lives and who pretend like they're gonna literally eat the rich and solve all their problems by doing so clearly don't have the critical thinking skills to understand that. "Who would attack people on a holiday " How do you think this current conflict got started? "Who would snipe children" Have you heard of Shalhevet Pass? Honestly, it's clear the only reason they're upset isn't because the bloodshed and the violence and the inherently dehumanizing acts that occur during ANY fucking conflict actually upsets them, it's because their chosen team is bearing the brunt of it bc WHERE were these kinds of posts and this outrage and even the performative horror immediately after Oct 7? When it was Israeli citizens and families at the end of the knife? Where were the "this isn't gonna solve anything but lead to more violence" lectures for Hamasniks? I didn't see the majority of people give a flying fuck until the other shoe dropped and uh oh it turned out a poorly thought out massacre didn't lead to Palestinian liberation and in fact gave people who would've taken any excuse to also shed Palestinian blood a temporary free PR pass to LEVEL Gaza. I'm sorry to rant without direction in your inbox, feel free to delete. I'm just so over the stupidity and all the POSTURING surrounding this.
I just wanna emphasise the "there is no sides in this" because too many people are treating this like a damn sport and they really are salivating for the blood of innocents, because they cannot realistically fathom that maybe the ideal is for no bloodshed at all.

*sigh*
You know, with the way none but a small percentage has been talking about it, I was starting to have suspicions that maybe the part where the IDF was formed from three terrorist groups was a piece of misinformation.
So I typed the names Haganah, Irgun and Lehi on the search engine.
...It was never a secret knowledge at all. It's right there on the internet. IT'S RIGHT THERE ON WIKIPEDIA.
Have anyone asked the US...Biden, Sunak, Blinken, eveyone else...have everyone asked the West...WHY are they sending ten billions in regular intervals to terrorist groups pretending to be an army? Why is the West supporting THESE terrorists, in carrying out the Nakba again? Because they support zionism? Because they have a Balfour Declaration to fulfil?

For Eurovision fans/and anyone else who would be watching Eurovision this Saturday
Please, please convince your friends and family (and yourself) not to vote for Israel for the Grand Final if it's for political reasons. Israel's victory would completely disrepute the contest and we DO NOT WANT it to happen Like, just vote for any song but Israel's or better, if you/ your friends/family like it, please vote for Croatia. Not only a Croatian win can stop this (or other country), it's the most positive outcome for this year's contest and the most plausible one to do it. I don't want to force you not to vote for Israel if you like the song. However, after the Italian televote leak, we have to do it together to prevent an Israel win.

Despite the non-stop Israeli PR...
...I'm not really empathizing with a certain group I'm told suffered so much 80 years ago.
