i feel like time is so stretched and so warped right now, and i think that's sort of furthering feelings of disappointment. i think it's in part due to it being uh, january (derogatory), but also just because so much has been happening in such a short time that it sort of just throws any sense of perception into a blender and chaotically whirls it all around.

because i was sitting here last night a little on the gloomier side--not hopeless, just gloomy--because i was like ":( man david really made that suspicious post and then we've just been stuck in radio silence huh"

...only to realize that david had made said suspicious post only two. days. prior.

wednesday.

so i sat back, cackled at myself, and really accepted how chaotic the timelines are right now. i think we're all just running at like mach 5 speed and subsequently expecting 10 billion things to happen every single day as they have been, so a quieter period is almost startling.

Buck, red-faced with his brows knit so close together they’re nearly one, snarls his lip in disgust. He doesn’t say anything and instead cups his palms around Abbie Jean’s elbows, pulling her carefully up out of the pool and passing her off to a paramedic. Once she’s wrapped in a blanket and shuttled off, he turns to stare back down at Eddie.  (Buck is so hot when he’s pissed off, holy shit.)  Eddie offers a smile. It isn’t received well.  Shaking his head, Buck reaches down and knots his hand in the front of Eddie’s t-shirt. He hauls Eddie all the way up and out of the water, and Eddie would be impressed and probably turned on if Buck didn’t look like he’s ready to tear the whole world apart.

briefly (or maybe not briefly, we'll see) killing reblogs on the parchment bingo. if i had known it would spread that much and be treated as an educational resource, i would have worded the whole thing differently, framed it in more positive terms etc – things you might not know about parchment, ways to make your novels better, whatever

the trouble is that a) i DIDN'T intend it as an educational resource and b) i'm fairly sure if i'd done that it WOULDN'T have spread the way it did when framed negatively as mistakes people make, because the internet thrives on negativity and would rather pull things apart than build them up

but. i actually don't love being part of that and i regret contributing to that phenomenon when i generally try to focus my energies on things i like rather than things i don't like. i genuinely didn't think it would spread beyond my immediate circle because to my mind it was niche bitching that around 20 people would care about, not something people would share widely, but that's not an excuse, I've been on the internet long enough by now to know better
