You 100% cannot troll these people; you could walk up to a mathematician and say "I'm a radical finitist, I reject the existence of all numbers larger than 1", and not only would that turn out to be a real thing, some maniac has worked out how to construct set theory under its constraints.

Do you think he’s ever laying on Lasko’s couch while Lasko’s humming in the other room doing the dishes, so relaxed and close to sleep, when his gut twists with the absolute fact that when this room, this building, this country, this world this person that he loves is gone, he will still be there?

Do you think he’s ever staring into Freelancer’s eyes, so hungry for the sight of them that he can’t savor it? He’s too wrapped up in trying to memorize every fleck of color in those eyes because he knows that one day, many many years from now, he will forget what color they were.

Do you think he tries to force himself into engulfing himself in a moment, surrounded by his family, soaking in every sound and laugh and smile and touch because he knows that they’ll be gone before he’s ready, because he will never, ever be ready? Do you think he’s ever so focused on trying to take them all in that he misses the conversation entirely?

Do you think he ever wonders which one of them will die first?

Do you think his friends ever notice those moments that he’s… missing? That he’s wrapped up in something bigger than them, bigger than they can even understand?

Do you think Gavin, a very young daemon comparatively, also can’t wrap his mind around ‘forever’ because he hasn’t even lived a single human lifetime yet?

And how long do you think it’ll take him, after all of them are gone, to start forgetting them?

Thinking about robot Ghost who is fascinated by human Soap and thinks he’s just an incredible feat of nature. He never paid much attention to the intricacies of humans until he met Soap.

He loves touching Soap just to feel the warmth of his skin, loves laying his head on Soap’s chest to hear his heart beat, loves making Soap laugh and smile just to marvel at how expressive he is, and loves watching Soap work just so he can admire how he moves. Ghost is simply in awe of how everything he has to artificially emulate comes to Soap so naturally, and he’s drawn to Soap like a moth to a flame.

removing the 'Go Premium' button

my method is derived from fucking around with uBlock Origin which you will need for this

Short Method: Go to your uBlock Origin settings ---> My Filters, and paste in "www.tumblr.com##.YjoFC", then click 'apply changes'

Long Method (i wrote this part first then remembered the easier option but i was too attached to this part to delete it)

right click on 'go premium' and click on block element

2. you will see a text box that has two pound keys (##) followed by whatever text

3. replace the text with '.YjoFC' (this is the class of the span element that the Go Premium button is located in), then click create

4. tadaaaa it's gone forever now

Ando, unlike the lamb in the main AU, does tell his little brother what the golden skull necklace is, and as you can see, that blessed one only understood «immortality = you can't die». Deciding to immediately test that theory by jumping off a cliff.

My lamb is something special.

Now I would like to comment that in this AU, the theme of the golden skull necklace is used for what it is: a necklace that only grants one more long life, but it does not make you immune to death itself. So it was quite obvious that that fall would have ended the life of our favorite little lamb with just a few days back in the land of the living.

Luckily for him, Ando knew what he was getting into when he decided to bring him back XD

I like the subtle world building implications in the differences between the usher foundation and the magnus institute. if the usher foundation and the magnus institute were meant to be direct parallels to each other, then the usher foundation would have been established in like the 1870s in boston or nyc, but no, it's in dc and was founded no earlier that 1955, and that gives me less "old respectable academia" vibes and more "insane reagan era project comissioned to weaponize the supernatural in the cold war that didn't work but was never officially shut down."

hey aro gang? can we collectively make more of an effort to like. advocate for ourselves and our communities and specific identities in ways that aren’t just. actively and openly hostile to other aros or implying or outright stating that they’re harming us or that they have societal and community support they don’t have? like i get it - im non-sam aro, and i relate heavily to a lot of aroallo experiences and it’s really frustrating and hurtful to feel overlooked or erased or anything else, but like. aroaces are not doing anything wrong by talking about their experiences or relating to posts or posting in the aro tag or anything else and it’s getting to a point where im personally getting really uncomfortable seeing people verging on or outright stating that this is the case or that aroaces are some kind of oppressive community force or responsible for the bad experiences of non-ace aros. can we all just cool it a bit please. it’s frustrating and hurtful to feel like you’re being mistreated specifically for not being someone else but that is not that other person’s fault or their identity group’s fault, nor is it always necessarily true. none of us are doing great out here and society at large does not want aroaces to exist or be talked about any more than any of the rest of us i promise.
