🪵 Pairing — > Logan Howlett x Reader (+ a little bit of Laura)

🪵 Genre —> Sad & a bit of angst

🪵 Warning —> Mention of death, death scene & very emotional reactions from the reader (the story is a remake of Logan’s dying scene)

🪵 Summary —> After helping the children you search for Logan everywhere but when you find him you wish you hadn’t. He was dying, your heart was breaking into pieces, but you both had to say your goodbyes.

After rescuing the children Y/N was looking for Logan. She kept running everywhere hoping she would see him and unfortunately for her, she did. He was lying on the floor, stabbed in the heart by a tree, doing his goodbyes to Laura.

Y/N couldn’t believe it, she couldn’t believe her eyes which we’re becoming more and more wet. She walk towards him softly and slowly, her hands we’re shaking and when she arrived in front of him, still in shock, she knelt to his side.

Her lips were trembling and when their eyes locked only a tear went down on her cheek, and she said whispering :

«  Please Logan… don’t go, please please don’t go. » and with that she started crying.

Logan had troubles talking but he tried his best to reassure her :

« Hey look at me, Y/N look at me, it’s going to be okay everything is going to be okay. You and Laura you’re going to stay together, you’re going to be a family and you’re going to be okay. »

« Please I can’t, I can’t loose you, I love you too much to loose you Logan. I can’t do it I can’t handle it. »

Y/N couldn’t stop crying and her mind couldn’t stop racing at the thought that she was about to loose the man she spent years of her life with :

« Please don’t abandon me, don’t abandon us. »

Logan wanted her to be strong, he wanted her to be okay, he needed her to be okay so he said :

« You’re going to forget about me and live a happy life. No matter how much you love me I want you to be happy, I need you to be happy. Promise me this, please promise me. »

Y/N didn’t want to say it because she knew it could never be true, she could never forget about him. But no matter how much it broke her heart she knew she had to say these words. It was the only way to make Logan go in peace. So she smiled, while trying to stop crying and said to him :

« I promise you that I am going to forget about you and live a happy life, with Laura. That no matter how much I love you, I’ll be happy. »

Logan’s breath was starting to leave his body, slowly, but he could feel it. So he looked deeply in Y/N’s eyes and with the tiny bit of breath he had left he said :

« I will always love you princess, always. »

To this Y/N answered :

« I will always love you too. »

And at the sound of that Logan smiled but soon after he took his last breath and the only thing Y/N could see in his eyes was emptiness. But at least she thought, he died happy.

Y/N hugged Logan body, and screamed all the air she had in her lungs while crying, she couldn’t stop, she was so broken. It felt like her whole heart has been ripped apart from her chest. She was covered in his blood but she didn’t even care. She just needed to feel him, that’s all she wanted.

As she saw Y/N distress, Laura came closer and knelt too, she then hugged Y/N who accepted it hug gladly in hopes that it could bring them both comfort and love.

Charles Xavier Headcanon

Warnings: spoilers for Logan, mentions of death (reader is dead)

In his last moments Charles remembered what it was like when his wife, Yn had passed. He had sat her bedside as it happened, hearing her thoughts. He was scared for the moment he ceased to hear them anymore. She was asleep when it happened, but it was as if she knew it was coming and that Charles was listening. Her last thought was “I’ll wait for you, Charlie.”

Charles didn’t know what happened after death, but the hope of seeing her again brought him peace despite the circumstances. Logan pleaded with him to stay, but it was his time. He had to go. As his eyes shut for the last time, his only thought was of Yn.

When he opened his eyes again it was much brighter. He was also significantly taller than normal. It was then he realized he was standing. And not only that, he was standing in the driveway to the mansion. His back was to the massive house but he knew this land.

Slowly he turned around and there she was, waiting for him on the steps. She didn’t look like she had the day she passed, old, frail and sickly. No, quite the opposite actually. She just as she had when they were young and just opening the school.

“Hi, Charlie.” Her voice was also just as beautiful as he remembered.

He smiled, “Is this real?”

“Yes.” She said.

“So I’m…” he trailed off as she nodded.

“Well are you just going to stand there?” She asked.

He smiled even brighter as he hurried up the steps to her. Once he was close enough he pulled her to him, hugging her tightly before pulling back and giving her the most passionate kiss he had ever given her. When he pulled away, he kept a hand on her cheek and kept his forehead pressed against hers for a moment.

“There’s someone else you should say hi to.” She whispered.

He was confused for a moment before he heard his voice.

“Hi, dad.”

Charles let go of Yn and spun around to see his son. It was weird seeing him as practically the same age he looked now as well, but he was still overjoyed to see him. That was until he remembered how his son had died. He was one of many X-Men killed in the Westchester Incident.

“Nelson… I am so s-“

“It wasn’t fault, dad.” He said, stepping closer to hug his father.

Yn stood to the side watching as her husband reunited with their son. When they finally pulled away, Nelson spoke up again.

“No one blames you for what happened.” He said softly.

“No one? Who else is here?” He asked, looking over to Yn.

“Want to go inside and find out, we’ve all been waiting for you.” Yn said with a smile, holding her hand out for him to take.

He took it with a smile and put his arm around their sun as they walked up to the door. When it opened, Charles was met with all the friends that he had lost throughout the years. They all smiled and cheered when they saw him, welcoming him in.

He was finally home.

I've been rewatching some xmen movies on DVD recently.

The extras are really interesting to watch, especially some of the concept art.

One of my favorite things is people just yelling Logan at him because he likes when people use his name but at the same time its always for the most annoying shit. The only one really excluded from this is when Beast shouts his name after "Wolverine" didn't work but he goes "Gotcha" and then Beast like "You almost put me into cardiac arrest! This shed 2 years off of my life!"

Scott could literally walk up in this mans space, yell Logan at him, and then when he asks, "What!?" He's like."So what are you doing tomorrow?" Instead of- you know, just asking like a normal person.

Then you have Wade.

"My big boy logan is aboutta fuck you up! Awww What a good boy you are! Oh yes you are~!"

The only other exception, too, is when Charles knows he's having a difficult time and is like, "I know you, Logan. Feel it in your heart. You were young once, too."

You also can not convince me that he did not at least once lay in Charles lap and cry to him about his struggles. I wouldn't even be surprised if sometimes he let him sleep in his bed but never told anyone because he doesn't want the others to make fun of him. The wolverine has a reputation to uphold.

I think this applies to all of the xmen, though.

SPOILERS FOR THE LOGAN MOVIE:

How charles acted in Logan gave me MASSIVE "Its okay, son, you can cry, I won't tell anyone, not even the wind" vibes. I know he's "the dad" figure of the x men, but he had a soft spot for the "bad" kids, and you can't convince me otherwise. How he treated laura, who was practically nonverbal for a while, on edge, screamed at everyone, growled, jumped up to kill people, and yet Charles treated her like a precious little angel.

The way he came to Charles and whimpered "It wasnt me, it wasnt me" to him while trying to keep him alive.. and seconds before hand charles told the fake Logan that this was the happiest day of his life in a super long time.. it made me cry.

Hell, I wanna cry now. I miss Charles ...

I know deep down he knew it wasn't Logan and still said it because he knew he was about to die. A dead mans confession so valuable that it didn't even get to the proper recipient.

I also love how Laura was INSTANTLY on that mans back. Like she didn't give a shit if it was him or not, she loved Charles like a grandfather, and that is the one thing I will say about the Wolverine family. They're loyal. They might bark at you and bite the hand that feeds them, but they wouldn't stand there and let you get hurt.

This applies even to the Worst wolverine. Because he never stayed. He left because he couldn't bare to watch and knew if he stayed, he'd fight.
