But the fact was, he had loved her soon after he met her: he had not asked questions because he had wanted to believe he knew the answers.

Is there a way, for us humans, to "experience love" not as tragic as we want it to seem.
Look at all the paintings, the music, the poems and books written about love. About caring for someone, wishing they're having a good day. And all the acts of love we do to show our way of experiencing life.
I am indeed aware that I'm not the only one feeling like nobody ever felt the way I do, yet I do feel alone. I feel alone because I do not have someone to talk to openly. I have friends, but none of them can understand what I'm saying fully. They might agree, but we will never discuss how loving in the purest form will be an agonizing and sadistic act, that we will never quit on doing. We will not discuss how pure and delicate humans can be, but so cruel and rigid in their behavior, that we will question every word that shall leave their mouth.
In a world of humans, I'm left behind. Where everyone lives, I watch, and hope that one day, I will too, live, while everyone watches.

Obadiah: Edom's Lack of Understanding
If thieves came to you, if plunderers came by night – how you have been destroyed! – would they not steal only enough for themselves?  If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave gleanings?  How Esau has been pillaged, his treasures sought out!  All your allies have driven you to your border; those at peace with you have deceived you; they have prevailed against you; those who eat your…

"why should I get invested in shows if they'll just get canceled" I was deeply invested in Heroes (2006) and it was not canceled, it just got really terrible. I also got really invested in the sandwich I had a few weeks ago despite it only lasting like 15 minutes. You must embrace the ephemeral. You must be willing to love things that may not love you back, that might betray you, or that may die an untimely death. As the great philosopher Mr. Mitchell Lee Hedberg said "I'm not gonna stop doing something because of what happens at the end."

The Rant: Americans, you have an Anthem problem. A Black National Anthem problem that you don't understand.
Let me go in during the 98th Anniversary of Black History Month. Lately, the country has had an issue with a national anthem that is turning heads and epic negativity. What I am referring to of course is “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” You know, the Black National Anthem? If that sounds racist, it is not. Many clearly don’t know what that is and why. They don’t! For those that do understand,…

Ultimately, it was the Unthings’ lack of understanding of physics in our universe that led to their undoing.
Their inability to control the shape and mass of their bodies led to the destruction of the ship, which killed them.

God this panel kinda drives me crazy. From Batman & the Outsiders #17, Shiva asks Duke about his suit, whether it was his choice. And how does Duke respond? He... doesn't. He parrots what is clearly something Bruce said to him, but never clarifies whether it was 'his choice' at all. Because both him and Shiva know it wasn't. And he acknowledges that his suit, with all the Batty-ness (ears, symbol), was specifically designed to make him like Batman.

Then Shiva suggests dark red, which is what Duke wore in We Are Robin and has connotations to Robin as a whole. Duke's reaction - can we let it go? - can be read in many ways, but to me it suggests Shiva's words hit home. He does miss the Robin colours. Becoming the Signal wasn't his choice, but becoming Robin was.
(And throughout this run, Shiva says both Cass and Duke are being held back by Bruce. With Cass this is a clear allusion to being Orphan over Batgirl, so it's not farfetched to read this conversation as being about how Duke was denied Robin to become Signal).
Duke-as-Signal is a symbol of 'people like Batman', but Duke-as-Robin was a symbol of youth, of community, of diversity and of choice. He was a Robin formed without Batman. I know there's no going back, but having Bruce choose the name, the suit, and the time of day that Duke goes out makes the Signal such a fraught identity. I love the yellow, the suit, and the daytime aspect, but I just wish they were Duke's choices, not Bruce's.

Thought # 14 of ?
When all else fails, go read the book.
You may hate reading it, but that’s what audio books are for. So many details are left out of film based off of a popular novel, manga, or manhua. If the movie or anime just falls flat for you go read the original media.
The translation may be bad if you only read English, but it’s better than nothing. And if you don’t understand something, usually the explanation is in the comments section or an author’s note in the margins.
So when all else fails, go read the book… because Goddamnit they deserved better and I am angry-
