robots in disguise :)
Cybertronians are masters of disguise, easily able to integrate themselves into most alien societies. Especially ones that consist of other cyber life or heavly plated alien, things cybertronians can easily mimic. When unable to mimic the native life, bots will often take advantage of halo Forms technology, creating a near-perfect solid light replica of the native life. Cybertronians also have the built-in ability to pick up and decode languages just from hearing them. with Their vocalizer being extremely flexible and able to mimic the sound of other species, and if they desire, some can mimic the voices of specific individuals.
Scouts and infiltrators are usually able to figure out how to mimic the native life's behavior and better integrate themselves. Their disguises are often imperfect, but they're usually good enough not to cause any alarm, allowing these cybertronians to integrate themselves into alien societies undetected so they can insert themselves into roles that would give them the most power and influence. This allows Cybertronians to easily take other alien planets/societies out from the inside either to destabilize them so they become non-threat or to convert Their planet into a cybertronian colonies. But if an infiltration is unsuccessful, Cybertron has enough military might they can usually enforce their will on a planet by force, if need be.
During the war, due to Cybertron's unstable state, many Cybertronian colonies were able to break free from Cybertron's control, and many civilizations whose development was purposefully stifled were able to finally Advance without Cybertrons Influence.
Course, an infiltration campaign is not the reason why our little groups of stranded Autobots and Decepticons are stuck on Earth. So, the stranded bots don't have the same tools that an infiltrators might have. On earth, they can not mimic the native life very well, They are too small and often lack any plating, but they can mimic their vehicles and other mechanical devices, but that can only help so much. Neither side Possesses a haloform generator, leaving them reliant on native beings to perform certain tasks for them and help keep their existence hidden. Barely any Bots on either side had been on an alien planet before, and the ones that have only ever really been on Cybertronian colony worlds. But, one of the stranded Autobots is an ex-infiltrator and is more than familiar with dealing with unkown alien worlds. :)

Wasp
Introduced in 2464 as an attempt by General Mechanics to create a fast and maneuverable recon BattleMech for the Terran Hegemony, the Wasp was revolutionary for being the first 'Mech capable of jumping, sporting a prototype jump jet system; however, the system was not perfected for most of the next decade. After improvements in production and jump jet technology progressed, the modern WSP-1A Wasp began production in 2471. Centuries later, it is still considered a valued asset for recon work and is one of the most numerous 'Mechs in existence.
The initial design was built without monomolecular stress-resistant materials (MMSR) in the lower leg actuators. This wasn't identified as a flaw until the 2580 Battle of Imbros III when many Wasp MechWarriors practiced the jump-kick maneuver. After performing the maneuver even once, so much stress was put on the actuator that any subsequent jump-kicks immediately amputated the lower leg upon impact. By 2610 nearly all Wasps had been retrofitted with MMSR actuator bars.
The classic WSP-1A has a ground speed that could be considered lackluster when compared to many modern light 'Mechs, but this was offset by its jump capability. While carrying heavier weapons than 'Mechs like the Locust, the Wasp would generally only engage other light 'Mechs, using its jump capabilities to avoid conflicts with larger foes. The Wasp was also used in the role of raider because of its ability to hit and fade in rough terrain.
Even after the sheer destruction of the Succession Wars, the Wasp still remained the most numerous 'Mech ahead of the Locust and Stinger; many thousands were in use by all of the Great Houses and in the Periphery while 100 or more were built each year from factories across known space. Nearly half of all newly built Wasps came from IBMU's and Kali Yama's factories located in the Free Worlds League on Shiro III and Kalidasa respectively. Among other major Inner Sphere Wasp manufacturing sites were Defiance Industries' Furillo factory in the Lyran Commonwealth and Achernar BattleMechs on New Avalon in the Federated Suns. Many of the Great Houses had Wasp variants built specifically for them, as did Wolf's Dragoons. Even out in the Periphery the Wasp was manufactured on Taurus, Perdition, Canopus IV and Alpheratz, making it equally common among the Periphery States.
The WSP-1A Wasp was not designed as a line combat unit. It carries a light weapons payload meant primarily for self-defense against other light 'Mechs and was not meant to engage heavier 'Mechs, resulting in tactics such as the jump-kick in order to deal more damage. The primary weapon is a Diverse Optics Type 2 medium laser carried in the right arm, backed up by a Bical SRM-2 launcher that is curiously mounted in the left leg which can carry one ton of standard or Inferno rounds in the left torso, making it useful against enemy 'Mechs and a good deterrent against infantry and vehicles. Published schematics indicate that the leg-mounted SRM-2 launcher is located near the hip.
The six jump jets, split between the Wasp's legs and torso sections, are responsible for its jumping distance of 180 meters and its longevity as a recon 'Mech. These also make up for the relatively slow 66.5 km/h cruising speed produced by its four-ton fusion engine. 10 single heat sinks are more than enough for the Wasp - it can actually fire both of its weapon systems continuously with little to no issue unless the jump jets have been overused. The three tons of armor protection is average for light 'Mechs, and with its placement around the chassis essentially two shots to the same spot anywhere will punch through and cause damage.

WELCOME TO PLAYTOWN/POPPY PLAYTOWN- CHARACTER REFERENCE #4.
Tumblr media
Name: Hoppy Rabbilda Hopscotch.
Age: 21
Height: 270 mts/8'8 fts.
Species: Smiling critter creature. Rabbit (eastern cottontail).
Occupation: enginer/researcher.
Genre: female (She/her).
Sexuality: Bi.
Magical usser type: Alchemist.
Birth place: bayquarter (Main city).
Birth day: march 13th.
Personality:
Hoppy is a very lively rabbit focused on what she does and only that; and along with his somewhat rude and misaligned appearance, he seems to be a person who is a little rough to start getting to know, but is actually a very energetic and impulsive person; especially with things that are of interest to her or something that those close to her need (even if it costs her a little at first, if it is important to a person she cares about, she will do it too).
She is extremely competitive, she likes to do things the right way, insistent to the point of being stubborn and she doesn't see the limits of certain things; especially with experiments that don't go quite right.
She is also not very good at being patient or regulating her reactions, which gives rise to the recurring gag in which she usually gives a little scream that scares those around her when she is very excited, euphoric or angry.
Tumblr media
about her work and daily life.
Hoppy has his daily routine very clear =
He gets up at 4 am and eats a light breakfast (eggs and bread in general).
At 4:30 he exercises.
At 5:30 he starts getting ready for work.
She works from 6:30 to 20:30, with 3 daily breaks of 1 and a half each to eat. She has a pretty heavy job as a mechanic of small airplanes, seaplanes and other flying vehicles. And that time can be extended and she studies from 21 to 23 with Bubba to become an official consultant on antiques and how to fix them.
In her free time it is common to see her spending time with Bobby, getting into a dispute with kickin or begging Bubba to approve a project of dubious morality or safety.
Lately she seems interested in spending time with crafty or Dogday, more than anything because of his particular interest in witchcraft as a study.
Magic data (and other skills):
Hoppy is a certified alchemist, title that is not only achieved by studies but by affinity to technology. Hoppy specializes in technology and his related element is electricity and mechanic.
Tumblr media
If she gets into a fight, she simply conjures her alchemical circle or uses her pocket watch to use it without having to draw it to use it to attack or defend herself.
Due to the element it handles, it causes it to run out and have a "short circuit" when used, something that can be handled by carrying metallic elements that make it more likely to receive electricity.
Tumblr media
As in a certain series of two alchemist brothers; You can fix and modify objects as long as you don't use a different or extra item to restore it.
Tumblr media
other random data:
favorite food: spatakópitas «I went to a witch bazaar when I was a kid, and those little puff pastry and spinach things stayed in my memory.».
Favorite dessert: carrot cake «I like the carrot cake despite being a rabbit, I don't like it because I'm a rabbit»
hated food: carrots «Because of a certain actor, now everyone thinks that rabbits love carrots, I hate them!! They are hard, sour and need to be cooked or spiced to make them taste good..».
smell: mint.
strength: concentration, brute force, analytical skills.
weakness: communication problems, lack of interest.
favorite physical appearance: muscles «pure physical effort worth showing off.».
hated physical appearance: hair «I hate how flammable it is to my experiments and tests…and I'm too lazy to wash it.».
person you respect most: dad «What? I adore my dad»
person you don't want as an enemy: Bubba «He's the one who cancels my experiments! It's not fair! someone once makes a clock with the ability to travel through dimensions and then threatens me for taking away my alchemist's license!!.».
hobby:sports, fly seaplanes, study about astronomy or witchcraft.
Some crush?: ... «Bobby, I love Bobby; I have tried to propose to her about 15 times but I am never able to because I think it won't be romantic enough; the good thing is that she doesn't realize... I hope it».

*sigh* oh to live in a world where american car manufacturers remembered that you could put more than 1 color on things...
Tumblr media
oh to live in a world where american car manufacturers remembered that eggshell white looks good actually...
oh to live in a world where american car manufacturers are not going senile and forgetting all of the reasons why cars looked cool to begin with...
the post was originally going to end here but i just took my ADHD meds and i need you all to know that i live in a city where we have a yearly event to celebrate old cars that actually looked really good and everyone in this city fucking LOVES cool old cars and every now and again you can just see someone driving around the beachside roads on a vehicle straight out of a Guardians of the Galaxy flashback. cars used to look GOOD. this isn't a generational style thing, look at these.
Tumblr media
even if this kind of car isn't your style i get that, but you can surely see that there is at least a vision here, there was a passion in the people who made them back then, cars weren't just churned out willy nilly to make the line go up.
well okay yeah they definitely were but there was still some art there. now i need to ask you. look at modern cars for a second and just let the mundane-ness of it all sit in for a while
Tumblr media
ohhhh yeah can you feel it? have you soaked it in yet? all of those sanded down soulless smooth edges? all of those monocolor coats of paint? the fact that the only thing you can really tell is substantially different is the kind of wheel each car has if even that?
now i need to ask you, in 80 years do you think there are going to be any events to commemorate these kinds of cars? do you think anyone is going to take time out of their retirement to appreciate these wonders of modern technology enough to create a whole ass city-wide convention to show appreciation for any component of these cars except maybe some of the internal mechanics and engines???
now admittedly selection bias is a thing here, its not like these cars being celebrated in my city are the average car, those are Woodies, which are a very specific artistic style of car. so maybe we need to look at the average car from back then. lets see, the Woody style was started around the 30s, so what does the average car look like around the 30s?
well a quick little research says that the biggest automotive manufacturer around then was General Motors (or at least a very big one), and a quick little Wikipedia stroll shows their platforms from back then. Behold! i show you cars from back when people cared about design!
Tumblr media
Oldsmobile Series 60
Tumblr media
1930 GM Marquette
Tumblr media
1940 Pontiac 'Deluxe' 6
I know that last one says Deluxe, but keep in mind that beauty only went for ~17k in 2023 dollars! So much cheaper than the Ford F-150! And you get more seats too! Sure the paint is probably leaded and so is the gas and so are the lights and so is the steering wheel probably and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the rubber was too, but god dammit it just looks good doesn't it? Don't they all? 2 of these 3 random samples I just learned about still have the monocolor stuff that I was complaining about but don't they just look better? It's not like this is a lost art, we can still build this today if we wanted, we could just put the modern engines and batteries and non-lead metals in it! That's what the people who drive restored versions of these cars do! Imagine how much easier it would be if you just built them that way and didn't need to take all of the lead and old broken down engines out in the first place!
"Ohhhhh but the aerodynamics!! What about the aerodynamics!! Modern cars are so much faster now because of their ugly shapes!!"
yeah dumbass and that's why you keep mulching kids whenever you tap the accelerator. my city has plenty of people who drive modern cars, you all could do with a lower speed capacity. it would be good for you in the same way that confiscating an addict's tobacco would be good for them. fucking chill.
besides if you're really worried about speed trust me, modern engines are wonders of science and engineering, i promise you that cars can still go zoom if we made the aerodynamics slightly worse in order to make them look better because the magic piston box that you pretend to know how it works while being carried by your 4-wheel drive will cover the cost. trust me.
"But cars in general are bad! We should be getting rid of all of them! Even cool looking cars can mulch kids too!"
yeah yeah sure, still ban them from city centers and stuff. i just got back from a 2 week long trip around all the best parts of europe and also paris so i agree with you there, but as much as it would warm my autistic heart we realistically cant have trains to take us everywhere and the genie is already out of the bottle. besides i dont care what you think cars are just cool. i can turn a wheel and push on a pedal with my foot and make a 2 ton hunk of steel and gadgets move at a speed to carry force surpassing that of a bullet, and if i turn really fast i can make tire doodles on public infrastructure to keep the rent low. plus road trips with friends are fun. look all im saying is that cars definitely aren't going anywhere, so we could at least have them look cool while they're here. to be honest i definitely agree that we should be phasing out cars as much as we can for long distance travel (TRAIN SWEEP WOOOOO CHOO CHOO) and everything but come on dude i dont want to look at my ugly ass streets and see them swarming with ugly ass cars. i want pretty ass cars. please? pretty please? my birthday is coming up soon wont you do it for me?
"Lower aerodynamics means that the fuel economy will be worse! People will need to use more fuel for the same distances! That's bad for my wallet and also the environment!"
putting aside the fact that aerodynamics really only become a major factor when you are going really really fast like on the freeway--a place where ideally you would rarely ever need to go on in favor of public transport taking you everywhere you'd want to go to at a price cheaper than your gas in the first place, i want to ask you something a little emotional here:
do you think that you would be better off if you saved maybe 1 or 2 dollars every trip to the gas station, or if when you were stuck driving all those long drives you were in a car that you could actually smile when thinking about, that you could watch other people look over and see children excitedly getting their parent's attention to show off the cool car driving past them, that you could have a car that looks good enough to actually wow people when you pull in for your 9-5 that is a 2 hour drive away from you for some reason, that after a long shift and a long drive you could come home, get out of your car, and have the first thing you see when you close the door be something that actually looks pretty instead of the same personalityless blob that everyone else drives? look, i get it, maybe your finances are super unstable and every penny counts, maybe this specific example isn't for you, but im willing to bet that once you get to a better off position you'd be pretty fine with the idea of sacrificing a few bucks for a whole load of warm and fuzzy feelings of pride and satisfaction. i sure as hell would. why the hell do we do this whole capitalism thing in the first place if we can't spend the money eventually to feel nice??
oh yeah also for the environment bit most of the impact against the environment isn't cars at all, it's energy production and other stuff, also most cars are switching to environmentally friendly alternatives now anyway sorryyyyyyyyy
look all i want is for when my time comes to get mulched against a bumper like nearly 1.2 thousand american children each year i dont want it to look like the edmunds.com best rated cars by price section
Tumblr media
oh, yeah, also, if you willingly take off the sound muffler from your car or motorcycle your car should be confiscated by the government and you should be put in the jail for disturbing the peace. not because you did anything wrong, but purely for your own protection because i prefer small government solutions and neither me personally nor my local community do not have the infrastructure to solve the problems that you create in a way that would be favorable to you.

Tomorrow launched ARMTGE!
ARMTGE is born to be compatible with both 5e and onednd. It focuses on the noir, introspective, and human themes that are at the core of the cyberpunk genre, rather than flashing neon lights and heroic cyborgs.
Tumblr media
The future isn't as bright as you wished. Corporations own everything, your life, and your body. People come into the world to buy, consume, and throw away. There is no more good and evil, but only people that do anything to survive.
Fantasy Cyberpunk: in the future, technology replaces everything. What was called magic is explained by science, and those arcane practices are long forgotten. Most of the fantastical creatures that people dream of went extinct, and only few ill critters survive dwelling in the sewers of metropolis. This is your magical world and the protagonists are still humans, elves, orcs, and all the common fantasy races.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ARMTGE also introduces many new mechanics, such as hacking, weapon attachments, and body mods, in addition to the new classes, origins, and character backgrounds. For the first time after Descent Into Avernus, players will also be able to own their personal vehicles, chossing from a wide variety of cars, trucks, bike and even flying vehicles. Each new mechanic is designed to be simple to understand, but also with enough depth to entertain any kind of player, from the casual, to the hardcore min-maxer.
Tumblr media
If you love 5e, and you would like to experience your world in a dark future, this is for you!

Near the Ukrainian city of Avdiivka, a boxy robot zips along the rocky, cracked road. Snaking from side to side, the robot—a four-wheeled machine, around knee height—carries cargo and ammunition for Russian troops. However, it’s being watched. Hovering above the road, tracking the movements of the robot, is a Ukrainian drone. Suddenly, another drone smashes into the robot, blowing it to pieces.
The attack, which happened in early December and was claimed by the Ukrainian military’s 110th Mechanized Brigade, is one of a small but growing number of incidents where unsophisticated robots have been used against other robots in Russia’s war in Ukraine. Aerial drones have been used to surveil or attack ground robots, soldiers have attached weapons to land-based robots, and other small unmanned bots are being fitted with jamming technology to knock drones from the sky.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, small aerial drones have played an outsize role in the war in Ukraine—with thousands of drones being used to monitor the battlefield, watch enemy movements, and carry explosives. Videos produced by Ukrainian and Russian soldiers show the drones, which are often first-person view (FVP) drones, being used to attack tanks and troops. As the war has raged on, another kind of robot has increasingly appeared in recent months: the unmanned ground vehicle, or UGV.
“There’s lots of unmanned ground vehicle development happening,” says Samuel Bendett, a Russia analyst at the think tank Center for Naval Analyses who tracks military drone and robotics technology use. Most of the UGVs being developed or used are small robots, Bendett says, as larger vehicles will be tracked, observed, and attacked with FPV and other aerial drones. “The Ukrainian battlefield is saturated with aerial sensors that basically track and attack anything that moves,” he says. That includes other robots.
The UGVs being developed within the war are typically four- or six-wheeled machines that can be kitted out for multiple purposes. There are logistics robots, which can carry supplies to the front lines; evacuation robots that carry injured people; and robots linked to combat such as those that can place or destroy landmines and have explosives or weapons attached. These robots are largely remote-controlled by humans—there’s little autonomy—and operate over ranges of a few kilometers.
UGVs themselves are not new. Some of the earliest UGVs were created in World War II and used as explosive devices, while they have also appeared in other conflicts. Most Russian UGV developments so far have been homemade or DIY, Bendett says, with troops or volunteers creating robots for specific tasks or needs. Ukraine has, to date, put more military effort into developing ground robots, with the government stating its ambition to build an “army of robots.”
Videos from within Ukraine, first shared on Telegram channels and reviewed by analysts such as Bendett, show a Russian drone monitoring a Ukrainian UGV as it trundles along laying mines. In another video, a small six-wheeled robot approaches a downed drone, lifting up its wings, before troops approach it. A third shows drones trying to destroy UGVs moving along the ground. In one demonstration, a person is dragged behind a UGV along the ground. Earlier in January, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, announced a UGV with an “automated turret” that, he said, can also transport ammunition and provisions to fighters.
Before Russia invaded, Taras Ostapchuk’s company created posts and poles for street lights—now he’s building robots and FPV drones for Ukraine’s war effort. Supported by Ukraine’s military technology cluster Brave1, Ostapchuk has developed three kinds of robots, all called Ratel. One is a four-wheeled “kamikaze” robot that can have explosives strapped to it or lay landmines; the other two robots can carry equipment or carry injured people. More than 45 have already been deployed to the military, Ostapchuk says.
The small robot, Ostapchuk says, has a range of 2 to 3 kilometers, which can be extended with a ground station that amplifies the radio signals used to control it, while one of the larger robots can be controlled by a human 40 to 60 kilometers behind it. Within some areas in Ukraine, such as Zaporizhzhia and the Donbas region, Ostapchuk says it is crucial for UGVs to have technology to defeat FPV drones that may be targeting objects on the ground. “It’s a big problem, so we install this equipment,” Ostapchuk says. In a testing video, one of the Ratel UGVs is approached by a drone which appears to crash into the ground and stop working.
“Certainly, as you get more unmanned ground vehicles being used in combat at larger scales on both sides, you have that potential for drone-on-drone combat, which is fascinating,” says Zachary Kallenborn, a non-resident adjunct fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a national security consultant. However, Kallenborn cautions that these instances are not likely to be “decisive or that critical” in the broader scope and scale of the war. Instead, he says that the introduction of more UGVs may lead to changing strategies of those involved in the war. “I think we’re going to see an increasing shift toward targeting operators and support structures, rather than targeting the drones themselves,” Kallenborn says.
Still, as more UGVs are developed, they are likely to take on greater roles in the conflict. Ukraine has already had success with naval drones, Kallenborn says, adding that UGVs allow soldiers to undertake other tasks and reduce some of the risk for humans on the ground, such as a robot sent on scouting missions. “No one really cares if the ground vehicle gets destroyed, except the accountants,” he says.
So far, Bendett says, UGVs haven’t been seen in huge numbers—it is unclear how much Russia’s industrial base will develop the robots, he says—but in the coming year, he expects there to be more experiments with autonomy, startups creating more robots, and more UGVs with anti-drone technology incorporated. “The whole point of fielding a lot of UGVs, for example, is to supplement some of the dangerous missions by the soldiers and to impact the adversary as much as possible,” Bendett says.
