Do you remember the Kakashi request I made a while ago ?
cn: fluff. slow burn. avoidant attachment style. explicit sexual content [nsfw / 18+].dirty talk, 6.5 k+ words.

⟡ fandom: naruto | pairing: kakashi x reader
part 1 part 2
a/n: your requests always bring out the monster in me and make me write too much!
Ocular jutsu is a powerful tool. So powerful that the balance is inclined toward darker intents.
Fortunately enough, you and the people in your village were spared. At least for now. Injured ninja and powerless civilians like you are advised to stay in the medical tents around the city. Still, resources are low, so as a community, housing other ninja is a needed help.
Since Kakashi is the Hokage of the Konoha village, he is the most sought after. You didn’t interact with him directly that much, no. Only heard about him from others.
Most of you are powerless against ocular jutsu, but as a villager of healing techniques, you were one of the best at it.Your specialization is in creating advanced medical equipment and tools, of course with knowledge in medical ninjutsu. What sets you apart from others is your rare affinity and expertise toward some techniques in nature manipulation, lightning transmission, and any basic technique that helps you create Saishin Gijutsu-gata.
The special invention that made your name somewhat known in the village was the one you proposed to Konoha’s monarchy government, along with the council.
The first time you saw Kakashi was in a flash.
You walked with little confidence toward the meeting room because you didn’t do well with public speaking, even though Tsunade practically pushed you through the door after fighting off the anxious, irrational doubts you told yourself.
The door was opened by your slightly trembling hand, and you took a deep breath before entering.Your steps were the only sound in the room, announcing your presence before you bowed toward the present members.
“H-hello!” You adjusted your too-weak voice. “Hello! My name is Y/N L/N, born in the village of Sunagakure but now a member of the foundation of the Children’s Mental Healthcare Clinic and Medical Research Division in Konoha.”
You dared to glance at their expressions, which looked bored after the previous presentations before you.
“Right, so…” You turned toward the blackboard with the image projected onto it. “My research is about a possible mono-thunder train.”
“Mono-thunder train?” Shikamaru Nara asked curiously.
The sudden voice froze you a little before you looked at him over your shoulder.
“We know the Thunder Train installed in Konohagakure, right? The research is focused on a singular wagon designed for only four people, one of them to operate the train.”
Shikamaru added immediately. His voice wasn’t judgmental, but skeptical.
“Why should we invest our resources in this if we have a Thunder Train good enough for our needs?”
“Because the difference between them is that it doesn’t need rails. It only needs the ground.”
“What do you mean, the ground?”
You were at least happy someone was asking questions; it helped you present your idea better.
“Yes, that’s the major difference. And your next question is probably how an invention like that could run on the ground without an electrical line. Well, a usual train uses a locomotive as an engine, while this vehicle would get power from a drivetrain, engine, transmission, etc.”
Shikamaru blinked slightly before asking,
“Before you continu…since I, myself, want to hear all of it, and I won’t vote to dismiss your research. What’s the major purpose of it?”
“The monarch of the village would benefit most from it, as it increases privacy and security, especially with a trained person designated as his personal driver.”
Finally, you looked at the Hokage. Kakashi was standing beside Shikamaru, his crucial advisor.
Speaking of Kakashi, he was usually forced to participate in all these kinds of meetings. Not that he didn’t want to. He appreciated creativity of any kind; but the long list of responsibilities drained him day by day. He didn’t want this role, and everybody knew it. Is he a bad or uninvolved Hokage? No. A happy person who gives the most powerful speeches? Also no.
But when he saw you walking in with noticeable shyness yet speaking confidently about your project (which was impressive), he paid more attention. He didn’t want to play the innocent card either, but your beauty was another reason. So it wasn’t a surprise that he was already looking at you when you made a reference toward him. A surprise that the eye contact lasted two seconds too long.
Maybe she’s intimidated?
You weren’t. Well…a little, but that wasn’t the major reason. The major reason was his presence. Why didn’t anyone prepare you beforehand for how young the Hokage is and especially how he looks?
You withdrew your gaze so it wouldn’t be considered disrespectful, as if you were glaring at the Hokage himself, and you didn’t dare to look at him again. Only once more before finishing your presentation, and once again, he looked at you too. Of course, you told yourself he was paying attention like a good Hokage would, but the truth was further from that.
You were too tired when you arrived home later that day. The fifth brutally injured patient had arrived at your tent. The unknown opposition organization threatening Konoha was still causing damage. It’s true the number has decreased, but until they find the purpose behind these evil, destructive individuals, you can’t name a solution.
Your own theory is that the reason they’re not killing people but instead injuring and putting them under various jutsu for control is that they want to send a message. Probably a message for the only person threatened with death. Kakashi. He’s not the only one with ocular jutsu, Sasuke and Sarada are also targets. Ocular jutsu has always been superior, once representing some of the most powerful people on earth: the Uchiha Clan. Maybe their intention is to steal the remnants of that power?
Your thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, and you nearly dropped your teacup when the knocks became more aggressive and insistent. You couldn’t think of anyone who might be at your place right now, other than your friends who would never make your heart race like that from the intensity of the knocks. That’s the disadvantage when your techniques don’t help you in a proper fight. Basic knowledge of defense doesn’t calm your heart either.
You gulped, grabbed your favorite knife handcrafted by you, and walked toward the door, which had stopped rattling. You turned the handle with precise slowness before opening it.
When you opened the door slowly and cautiously, you froze with wide eyes at the scene in front of you: the Hokage himself, speaking with one of the three guards about the exaggerated knocking. They stopped mid-conversation, giving you side glances.
Kakashi’s eyes traveled briefly over your body, pausing at your choice of clothing, a black satin two-piece pajama. His eyes landed on the knife, then on your slightly scared expression. He shifted his position to stand directly in front of you, with the guards behind him.
“Good evening. I offer my apologies for the earlier sudden and harsh knocking. I imagine it frightened you.”
You still hadn’t processed what was happening.
“First of all, I know this isn’t news to you, but the allocation of refugee citizens in the medical tents and housing within the safety zone plays a role in citizen security.”
You started to come back to yourself, and just before responding, you realized what you were wearing in front of the most powerful person in the village. You abruptly closed the door to cover yourself, red paint practically blooming across your cheeks.
“It’s fine! No problem! I was just… never mind. Ahm, yes. Good evening, Hokage-sama. I know about the situation. Obviously—I mean of course I know that—excuse me,” you said, bowing. Kakashi smiled subtly under his mask, though his gaze seemed serious.
His guards didn’t look too pleased, judging by the way they glanced at you suspiciously, scanning the area.
“There’s no need to apologize,” he reassured you before continuing. “The Hokage’s assignment was designated to your home because your home’s infrastructure is closest to the strategic security plan proposed by my advisor, Shikamaru Nara.”
You didn’t really hear much of the last part. Kakashi staying in your house?
His unmistakable voice pulled you out of your dissociative gaze to focus on him again.
“If it’s alright with you, there’s no pressure. I can speak with Shikamaru to rewrite the plan for a different house, if there’s another available.”
One of the guards looked like he was about to object to the number of options being given to you, but Kakashi’s gaze pinned him in place.
You looked at each of them before returning your gaze to Kakashi, wondering if you were dreaming. Nope, this is real.
“Ah, yes. Of course, no problem. Excuse my manners.”
You prayed the room wasn’t too messy and that not everyone would enter at once. Only one of those things came true. The guards followed him in and began checking the place for any signs of danger, and you stood frozen, just watching them. Kakashi wasn’t focused on the house at all. Only on you.
“It’s necessary, unfortunately. Your privacy was invaded, and I’m sorry for that. I know how it must feel.”
You looked up at him because he was tall, not that you were very short. You didn’t understand why he hadn’t fully entered the house so you could close the door.
“It’s no problem. I understand it’s for your safety.”
You indirectly signaled him to step in by trying to close the door, and he took the hint, stepping inside.
Your formality bothered him, it made it feel like you weren’t equals. But he’d bring that up later.
Your house was completely different from his because his had as few personal items as possible, maybe just a few books. Yours was full of plants, which fit you, along with books and all kinds of paintings of insects on one side, and weapons and machinery on the other. A woman of both worlds. There was some mess here and there, which bothered him even more because he had caught you off guard.
“I-I’ll go prepare the room. Actually, choose whichever you like, you can even take mine—just let me go in first, please—”
He raised his hands, signaling disagreement and stopping both your words and your steps.
“You don’t need to do anything. Wouldn’t you rather we have tea until the guards finish checking?”
You turned quickly toward the simple open kitchen, contrasting the living room.
“Sure, just a moment.” You paused. “Can I go change? I’ll be right back, promise.”
He’s probably going to lose his mind at how sweet you are, but way too stressed.
“Yes, of course. You don’t need my permission.”
You nodded and rushed up the stairs to your room. When you came back down, Kakashi was already preparing the tea, his cloak and hat resting on a chair.
“What? No, you didn’t have to! You’re the guest and not to mention—”
His eyes gave the hint of a smile, but you weren’t sure. He looked over his shoulder and let you continue by taking his hands off the teapot.
“I can’t remain a guest in a house that isn’t mine and offers me safety on top of it.”
You shook your head in disagreement. You didn’t understand his completely unentitled behavior. But you had no words left when he moved toward the couch, his figure front and center.
I don’t know how I’m going to survive this.
He visibly smiled with his eyes when you gave him the tea, eyes closing. And you smiled back.It was the first time he saw that. Officially, you’re even prettier when you smile.
The guards returned at the same time from upstairs, their strong footsteps echoing down to the last stair. They looked strangely at the scene before them, as if you two had known each other forever, before bowing to a Hokage who looked completely relaxed.
“All clean, Hokage-sama.”
“Alright. You may leave for the night and return in the morning with Shikamaru’s plans.”
“Hokage-sama, it’s not safe to remain unsupervised. Tsunade warned us beforehand about…this. We’re forced to go against your word this time.” Another added after bowing, “We’ll surround the house and take turns.”
Kakashi sighed before accepting, mentally cursing Tsunade’s interference in his selfless plans.
“Fine. Do as you wish then.”
You waited for them to finish before continuing.
“If you want, you can rest here between shifts.”
The third member, who hadn’t spoken until now, said reproachfully before they all exited the house.
“A guardian doesn’t close his eyes when the supreme leader’s life is at risk. You should know that, foreign girl from the Land of Sand.”
You felt too ashamed to say anything back.
“Ignore what they say. They take their job too seriously. Their words don’t define what I believe.”
You looked at Kakashi, disheartened. He had calmed you more times tonight than you could count.
Is he irresponsible or do I just not think twice before speaking?
You nodded in superficial agreement, more out of respect.
“Now, do you want to choose your room, Hokage-sama? Or would you like to eat? Shower?”
Kakashi stood, sighing again, and you were convinced you’d upset him, maybe stressed him out too much, or maybe you weren’t behaving correctly. You didn’t know how to speak to high-ranking people, especially when that person looked this attractive. It was an extreme-level game not to let your eyes admire his face or body. Not a game for beginners.
“We can go and you can show me the rooms, but only for your pleasure.” His steps got too close to you, and your heart beat wildly as you tried your best not to back away and appear afraid. “But otherwise, my only wish is for you to treat me normally. Like a friend, Y/N.”
Your brain short-circuited. What? He knows my name? Then you corrected yourself—duh, of course he knows the name of the person he’s staying with.
You came back down to earth, finally acting a little more like yourself.
“Okay, I’ll try. Sor—” No apologies. “Right. Ahm, let’s go.”
Kakashi slept that night in the guest room next to yours, the one where your friends sometimes stayed. It was fairly simple, just the way he liked it, even if it didn’t have your touch.
You, on the other hand, had a hard time falling asleep that night, tossing and turning and praying you’d wake up early enough to make breakfast. You figured he probably had food delivered by his guards, but you couldn’t risk it.
You managed to wake up, not feeling his presence, so you assumed he was still asleep. You rushed through your usual routine, still preparing your medical uniform to head to the tents, hoping that maybe today there would be even fewer victims. Although this area was the most monitored and safest, it was hard to ever feel completely secure.
After finishing breakfast and placing it as nicely as possible, you stepped outside the house to see what his guards were doing. They were likely starting the house security protocol Shikamaru had proposed.
But when you came out, Kakashi was still in yesterday’s clothes, since he hadn’t had a change yet, and his Hokage wardrobe was missing. His gaze was fixed above the house, where a guard was measuring its dimensions, his hands resting on his hips.
Fuck, I woke up too late.
Kakashi sensed you immediately, he was already used to your presence. In fact, involuntarily, he was far more aware of it. He looked at you from the side before greeting you.
“Good morning, Y/N. Quite an early hour to be awake.”
You blushed a little, not bothering to argue.
“Breakfast is ready. Anytime you’re hungry, you can go to the kitchen.”
Kakashi looked at you a moment, noticing the dark circles under your eyes and assuming this definitely wasn’t your usual wake-up time but he said nothing. You couldn’t take your eyes off him, and not just because you didn’t want to be disobedient, however that made for a good excuse.
“I already ate, thank you. You didn’t have to cook for me.” But he didn’t let you continue, already knowing what you were going to say. “Are you leaving soon?”
You clasped your sweaty hands before answering as normally as you could, still without confusing his position with friendship.
“In… a few hours. I’m on the afternoon shift.”
You’d already confirmed that 5 a.m. was definitely not your normal hour. He nodded in acknowledgment.
“Okay, I’ll come with you then. I’ve got a few things to discuss with Tsunade. I understand you know each other?”
Probably that’s how he knows my name.
“Ahm… yeah. She was the one who introduced me to the hospital’s internal protocol.”
“Aha. So you’re just acquaintances.”
Your mind flashed through all the evenings you’d spent drinking with Tsunade, her complaining about the Hokage (now you had way too many questions about what you knew regarding Kakashi), and all the times she’d been your biggest supporter.
“Friends. Good friends, I’d dare say.”
Interesting. Tsunade wouldn’t make friends with someone who didn’t meet her standards. The thought that you might share a bit of her fierce attitude made him want to know you even more.
“I see.” You didn’t understand why he was asking. Was he making conversation? You could say he seemed grounded. Under normal circumstances, you’d be glad to want to know him more. But you couldn’t allow yourself that.
Kakashi exchanged a few words with the guards when they asked him about a particular section on the adviser’s or architect’s paper. Even though he didn’t appear focused on you (or so you thought), you bowed slightly before turning back toward the house.
Kakashi watched you go as he half-listened to the man speaking. It took a while before he came in—you assumed it was because he now had his bag, most likely with clothes, closing the door softly behind him.
“D-do you drink coffee?” You found it hard to speak with formality, and Kakashi noticed your hesitation. He liked that you were trying.
“I’d love to.” He wondered what coffee made by you might taste like. Hopefully, it would soon be his favorite.
Even though thoughts like that didn’t scare him the way they used to, Kakashi wasn’t usually like this, and he didn’t believe it was wise. It was just the illusion of a door opening to some parallel universe where he might have access to a word foreign to him: love.
Still, he found it amusing to have these kinds of conversations with you because you attracted him from multiple angles. First, it was your appearance and he knew that was shallow, but your life, your path, your personal space had been enough to mentally draw him in too. Who you were underneath the humble persona, he couldn’t quite figure out. You were definitely a good person, considering your profession and the friends you had. But that wasn’t enough to satisfy him yet.
Still, the circumstances he was in made him act this way. His thoughts now sounded an alarm, and he went to change into clean clothes, avoiding his unbearable uniform and settling onto the couch, reading his favorite volume from the series. Old habits die hard.
The shift in energy was also a reminder for you that he was just being polite in response to your hospitality. At the end of the day, he was the village leader, not a potential friend. The word “friend” felt false anyway; your thoughts weren’t platonic, and that only made you feel worse.
You placed his coffee on the small table and stopped yourself from finishing a curse under your breath when you almost spilled it because of a book’s spine. Kakashi was faster than you—though he seemed immersed in the book (he was, needing a distraction, and Icha Icha books were the best choice)—his hand already reached the cup while yours was just inches above his.
There’s a reason he holds that title. It’s inhuman to be that fast. Your eyes met, your mouth slightly open in shock at embarrassing yourself in front of the Hokage. But feeling his firm hand under yours made you pull back your hand and your gaze at the same time.
“I’m sorry, I should’ve been more careful.” You stepped back from the table as if you feared you might make another blunder.
And Kakashi just let out a sound that resembled a chuckle, which instantly made you look up at him. What a beautiful smile.
“It happens. Sometimes you’re too deep in your own thoughts.”
My thoughts about you. Right.
Kakashi added, “Are you feeling alright? I know these past days have been demanding for you all.”
You couldn’t lie to him. It’s one thing to act differently from how you feel—another to lie outright.
“It’s been rough, but not as bad as at the beginning.”
You felt awkward standing there like you were putting on a show, and his gaze felt too exposing, so you sat down on a chair as far from him as possible. Kakashi understood you weren’t comfortable sitting near him. It bothered him, just a little.
He sipped the coffee and he felt on his tongue the beans you’d chosen were exactly the kind he had at home. Strong enough, but not overly roasted like some people preferred. Your gaze wasn’t free of his as you wondered if you were even allowed or privileged to look at him without the mask. You were stunned at how handsome he was.
“Can I help you with anything? Or help you personally with something?”
When you began to shake your head in disapproval, he spoke again.
“Tell me. Forget the formalities.”
You swallowed hard.
“Thank you very much, but it’s not necessary. We’ve managed so far.”
The first time you allowed yourself a question, murmured while Kakashi crossed one leg over the other and closed the book. He couldn’t stay distracted anymore.
“Has anything been found about the identity of the culprits? If it’s okay for you to tell me—”
He cut off the end of your sentence.
“Not yet, but there are suspicions. It shouldn’t take long, considering the Sand Village recently declared, without us even asking, that they’re willing to help.”
Kakashi narrowed his eyes, considering a very slim probability.
“Are you part of a well-known family from the Sand Village?”
That question was bound to come.
“Yes. The mother figure was the well-known counselor Chiyo. The mother figure for me and… Sasori.”
Figures, Kakashi thought.
“I’m sorry for your loss. Both losses.”
You replied with a half-smile.
“I’ve moved on, but thank you. Sasori, though… he was lost from a young age. The pain he left behind has faded over time.”
Kakashi figured your childhood wasn’t pleasant either. He didn’t dare ask about your parents.
“I suppose you felt some apathy toward the new Kazekage.”
You laughed a bit ironically. It was a small, satisfying portion for Kakashi.
“A little, yes. But now we have strong ties.”
That brought him right where he wanted. Even so, it didn’t mean the conversation wasn’t sincere.
He leaned forward slightly, his voice curious and hard to read.
“The Sand Village has always been helpful, especially during the war. They’re trustworthy people. It was pleasant and surprising how quickly they found out about the invasion, even on day one.”
After he finished the sentence, he paused before slowly turning his gaze toward you to observe your reaction.
The silence was crushing. You could hear only your heartbeat in your chest. If you hadn’t upset him before, now you felt like you’d be kicked out of your own house for treason.
And you didn’t recognize Kakashi’s gaze. It wasn’t stern or serious. His eyes were hypnotic, and you’d already dug your grave by not answering immediately. There was nothing left to do.
“I… told them.”
He turned his gaze to his coffee, took a sip, then continued to let you stew a bit. From a certain angle, what he was doing could be seen as a little toxic.
“I thought so.”
You couldn’t even apologize. It wouldn’t make sense. How did he figure it out? Since when?
He stood up and adjusted his pants, and you felt your breath catch again; worse now than when he asked.
“I’ll go put on those damn clothes. Want to come after?”
Where? To jail?
“Where?”
He barely stopped himself from laughing.
“To the tents? Where else, Y/N?”
His smirk grew wider at the end of the sentence.
“Right… of course.”
As he climbed the final step, he ended the conversation with another tease.
“Maybe we’ll have time for a walk before you get lost in your thoughts again.”
You watched him go with that same stunned expression.
Is he fucking with me now?
—
The walk to the tents was fairly short. The glances from the locals were uncomfortable and understandably so. Of course people were wondering why, next to Kakashi with his guards in tow, there was a girl of seemingly average social status in Konoha.
Kakashi didn’t feel like caring. He was too busy forcing himself to smile at everyone who greeted him. A socially exhausting walk and the day hadn’t even begun properly. The sideways glances he gave you went unnoticed. You were too tense and uncomfortable, still his focus was on how the morning light highlighted your beauty.
How had your paths not crossed earlier, considering your link to Tsunade? Or had he been so caught up in his indifference that he hadn’t noticed you? Even that felt hard to believe. Where had you been hiding all this time?
“Good luck. I’m sure you’ll do great.”
He bowed slightly out of respect, and you wanted to leave as quickly as possible after glancing nervously at half your coworkers who were wondering what business the Hokage had with you. The rest had already heard. Gossip was inescapable, especially in such a small corner of the village.
“Aa-ah, thank you. And thank you for the trust. Have a good day and good luck to the Hokage with whatever he planned today?! Yeah.” You bowed back, lower than him. It was hard to speak in a way that didn’t feel like you.
Kakashi’s eyes glinted. His voice dropped lower so only you could hear.
“I like that you still try to pretend.”
You blinked twice, but Kakashi had already turned toward Tsunade’s makeshift office.
Was that a threat? Will I be punished later for what happened this morning? You don’t know, still your body definitely interpreted his words differently, and you felt warmer than usual.
You quickly pulled yourself together. People needed you. Just before dropping off your tools, you were rearranging your supplies on the shared table, making sure you hadn’t forgotten any of the herbs you needed. Shizune’s sister, your friend, nudged you sharply with her elbow to get your attention.
“Can I know why I wasn’t the first to find out? Traitor.”
You scowled at her, half confused, half indignantly playful.
“Are you insane?”
People were already looking at you, especially when your voice rose.Seering their reactions, you hissed aggressively in a quiet voice. You didn’t want more attention than you already had.
“What the hell are you talking about, Shinya?”
She gave you an offended look.
“That the Hokage is staying at your house, maybe? I don’t know, just saying. It might be IMPORTANT INFORMATION??”
“I found out last night! I’m just as shocked as you.”
She leaned over the table, a grin on her face.
“What’s it like sharing a bed with the most attractive man in Konoha?” she corrected herself, “Or no, what’s it like sharing a bed with the most attractive leader in Konoha?” She wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.
You nudged her back with your elbow, shocked and embarrassed.
“I don’t fucking share a bed with him! He’s actually sleeping in the bed you and Sakura used.”
She opened her mouth wide, gasping dramatically as she followed you all the way to the tent. You pulled the curtain shut on her face before muttering, “I didn’t know he looked like that. I’m gonna kill Tsunade.”
It would’ve been the peak of irony to walk back home with Kakashi. It’s weird to say home like it’s your shared house. A small, selfish part of you had a foolish expectation that maybe he’d be waiting for you. Pure irrational daydreaming. No, Kakashi was, at the end of the day, buried under mountains of paperwork, full of new information, citizen fears, investigation proposals from the Land of Sand, Shikamaru’s plans, the council’s suspicions. He couldn’t even stand the thought that his guards barely got any rest, like he was some kind of untouchable jewel. He’s not. He never has been, no matter how much people keep trying to tell him that. That’s why he never wanted this position in the first place, mostly.
He preferred helping silently with everything he had, trading in his life without blinking rather than being applauded for simply breathing.
He can’t even go on missions himself anymore. It stresses him out terribly. And Naruto’s constant attention is even more exhausting and overprotective. Sasuke’s probably even more stressed by him, though. Not that Kakashi would ever complain about Naruto. If he could, he would’ve given him this position. As for Sasuke, it’s partly true that he wouldn’t complain. He’s one of the few people Kakashi resonates with on this topic. Besides Itachi, who’s been sacrificing himself ever since his own mistakes, born of trauma far too deep.
One’s dead, and the other managed to build a family. Kakashi would’ve punched him himself if he didn’t finally accept Sakura in his life and kept ignoring his feelings. The thought came now; if Tsunade ever found out about his… affinity for you, he’d probably get beat up (worse) and stressed out. Clearly, he’ll need to avoid ever slipping up about that.
But then…there’s you.
On your way home, you ran into none other than Tsunade at the restaurant that resembled Ramen Ichiraku. Probably one of the first things the war hero did when she arrived here. He’d been away on missions for days now, and Sakura was getting more and more worried, who was also having to basically force Sasuke to stay out of nearly everything just to be with Sarada, which honestly did him good, while she worked more than anyone else.
Tsunade was leaning on both elbows, waiting for her food, until she saw you and snorted.
“Rough day, huh? Didn’t see you today.”
You hugged her from the side. One of the rare people Tsunade smiles at when receiving affection. Not much, but still.
You sat down with a sigh, before speaking with a mocking tone and a dramatic tilt of your head.
“Yeah, maybe ‘cause you were too busy with Ho-ka-ge sa-ma.”
She rolled her eyes and immediately took a shot, tossing her head back.
“Yeah, yeah. Bullshit. I didn’t get the chance to tell you and even if I did, I wouldn’t have.”
“Why my house, specifically?”
“Shikamaru said Kakashi’s suggestion was solid when they checked the houses. The chakra points align well for protection.”
Suggestion… whose?
“Kakashi suggested it?”
Tsunade raised an eyebrow before making room on the table for the food.
“Who did you think?”
You ordered a simple ramen too, then leaned toward her, whispering accusingly.
“Knowing you, I figured you’d only suggest it just to mess with me.”
Tsunade lifted a hand and dropped it with a ‘miss me with that bullshit’ gesture before changing her expression.
“You’re pretty affected, huh?”
Now it was your turn to roll your eyes.
“Don’t start. You’re smug because you find this amusing.”
You widened your eyes, elbowing someone a second time.
“Shut up. I don’t want anyone hearing that kind of thing.”
She made a scandalized face, clearly entertained.
“So I’m right.”
“Partially. It’s irrelevant, he’s the Hokage.”
Tsunade scrunched her nose.
“So what? It’s Kakashi. The problem’s not that he’s the Hokage, it’s that he’s Kakashi.”
Now you frowned.
“What do you mean? How is that not a problem? What would people say—”
“To hell with people. High-ranking folks get to live too, you know.” You agreed with her, but still weren’t convinced. “Kakashi is like a wall, made out of materials even stronger than the ones you make.”
“What do you mean?”
She got a little irritated.
“As if I haven’t complained to you about him before. He’s got a really good heart, even if I hate to admit I can’t stand him, but his past was hell. He’s not open to things that might actually do him good.”
You didn’t know why your stomach twisted in disappointment. You hadn’t even gone that far.
She noticed the way your gaze dropped.
“I’m not saying it’s impossible. People change, depending on who they meet.”
Just like Shinya, she raised her eyebrows at you teasingly.
“Oh shut up. It’s too late. I’m going to bed.”
“With who?”
You made an exaggerated face before you both said goodnight.
——
When you got back, Kakashi wasn’t around. At least not in the living room. You went to wash up quickly, allowing yourself to put on pajamas that were somewhat decent, because that conversation with Tsunade reminded you he is a normal person at the end of the day, and a little bare let shouldn’t bother the Hokage.
Going down the stairs, lost in thought, you moved to make two cups of tea in case he showed up and nearly dropped the kettle when Kakashi suddenly entered the house. Even though only he knew the seal for the door, he still startled you. Your eyes met.
He took off his cloak as he walked, speaking first.
“Seems like all I do is scare you.”
You laughed politely.
“It’s okay, I’m just clumsy.”
“I’ve noticed that too.”
Given this joking side of him, you were starting to think maybe you weren’t going to jail. You couldn’t help but smile back and he did too, involuntarily, which even surprised him, though that was just the effect your smile had.
“Want me to put your cloak in the closet here, so it’s easier to grab in the morning?”
He stood holding it, a little confused in the middle of the living room.
“Ah? Yeah, sure. Actually no, you don’t have to. Where is the closet?”
You tried pointing, but missed, so you laughed and came over, taking it from his hand without asking and placing it in the closet right in front of him. A common trait men share.
You were too close to him, and you only realized it late, just as his voice caught you off guard when your back was turned.
“Apparently you’re not the only clumsy one.”
You instinctively looked over your shoulder up at his face, and the look in his eyes froze time. He was just as affected. Why lie about it? He didn’t even try to move or give you personal space, leaving it up to you to decide what to do. And, of course, you left once you broke out of the trance, smiling faintly and distracting yourself with the tea mugs.
You didn’t even realize that Kakashi was staring at your exposed legs all the way up to your parted lips when you turned your head. Because you were already too caught up in how good he looked in that black tank top clinging to his body, showing off his build. And the fact that he still wore the mask was killing you even more. Maybe a dress code would help, considering you both acted like teenagers hitting puberty.
But your visual distraction was temporarily paused. His shirt and pants were changed, still black. But his hair was wet now, which made up for it. Another angle from which he was just… attractive.
Ugh, you couldn’t take it anymore.
You gave him the reheated tea after preparing his food and sat down beside him without even realizing it, automatically grabbing your book from the table.
“That’s a step worth considering.” His smirk wasn’t visible, but it was there. He leaned his head on his hand.
Noticing where you sat, you shifted more into the couch, as if that would somehow put more distance between you.
“A step toward what?”
He grabbed his book too, opening it to the marked page.
“Toward not being so tense around me.”
You turned your gaze away, embarrassed, but didn’t respond.
“What are you reading?” he asked, and you showed him the book, chosen more by chance, to support the used bookstore opened by a neighbor.
“Tell me what you think of it once you’re done,” he said, noticing it was on the first page.
“You?” You hadn’t looked at what he was reading till now so you didn’t want to come off as a stalker, but maybe you should’ve, because you gave yourself away by knowing exactly which book it was. You weren’t born yesterday, you knew. “Ah.” You looked away. “Didn’t think the Hokage had that kind of taste.” You couldn’t lie. The story was interesting, but still…
Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
“Oh? And what kind of books do I seem like I’d read?”
You leaned on your fist, ignoring the sarcastic tone. You knew it came off a little disrespectful, but you were too affected to care.
“I don’t know. I don’t know you well enough.”
“I haven’t been Hokage that long, though.”
His gaze was unreadable as usual, but his tone was warm.
“I know. I didn’t mean it to sound rude or anything.”
“Seems like you have this kind of taste too.”
You looked away again, distracting yourself with a sip of chamomile tea.
“Maybe.”
Finally, you’d let go of the formalities or at least for one evening. You were impossible to ignore; with your hair gently falling from your shoulders, your legs slightly revealed by the cross-legged position. Your flushed cheeks half-hidden from his eyes, your soft gaze hiding other parts of you. You were so at ease in your senses, so unlike the serious you he saw today when you were focused on a wounded patient, wiping the sweat off your forehead from the effort. He would’ve waited if he could, nevertheless responsibilities remain responsibilities, powered by the stress of the village’s situation and the people still getting hurt and he doesn’t want to let them down.
You looked back at him from the stillness and only then did Kakashi snap out of his trance, clearly having been staring at you.
That’s when Kakashi pulled back. It was his moment to retreat inward. He closed his book as you watched him.
“All right. Have a good evening and sleep well. Don’t wake up at 5 a.m. again unless it’s necessary.” He offered you a smile except it didn’t reach his eyes. His voice was flat, emotionless.
“Sleep well, Kakashi.” You spoke without thinking and Kakashi stopped mid-step. “I apologize for the way I addressed you—I wasn’t thinking—”
“It’s okay. I told you, we’re equals.” He didn’t turn back to look at you, his thoughts were entirely focused on protecting you both. Still, hearing his name fall from your lips affected him more than he expected.
And that’s how you ended up in the kitchen until midnight. Sprawled across the couch, head tilted toward the ceiling, arm dangling midair holding a book you’d barely reached page 7 of.

Okay I've seen SEVERAL "Rewriting Sakura" (or just outright rewriting the anime/manga in it's entirety) videos to bring her up to and on par with Naruto and Sasuke but a LOT of them require already knowing the cast and keeping the power scaling of the show which I find to be the worst part of Naruto as a whole.
Hear me out because if we want to rewrite Sakura but also rewrite the anime/manga we need to address the power scaling because it will help keep Sakura, Tenten, the Hyuga clan, Lee, etc. relevant and make them more interesting.
If you like the following ideas go ahead and use them for whatever fanfic you wish to write, and let me see them.
Now let's get started...
The way Naruto ended up working in Shippuden when it comes to its power system is fucking bullshit. I refuse to hear otherwise because it just shits on any remotely interesting characters and the Hyuga clan which was supposed to be better than Uchiha when it comes to the whole Dojutsu, so we need to change the power scaling.
The power scaling in canon is thus: the more chakra you have, the stronger you are. The better kekegenkai you have the stronger you are. The better chakra release you have the stronger you are. And the better jutsu you have, the stronger you are. And if you have Kurama you're better than all the tailed beasts combined, fuck everything else.
That is it. That is how Naruto and Naruto Shippuden works and how it still works. This doesn't even go into the whole Ninja Jesus and Ninja God who gave Chakra to the earth bullshit with flying aliens.
So we need to correct this boring as fuck bullshit.
Unlike Kishimoto, I've had time to think about all of this so here is my solution:
Resource Management.
Yeah. That's it, when you really think about it. We treat Chakra the way videogames treat Mana.
You manage your resources and in this conceptual rewrite, we have it that Chakra is a resource that everyone has to manage.
You can have all the chakra in the world but if you need to use twice as much chakra to use one basic jutsu you're not going to last long in the fight.
The better your resource management, the longer you last in the fight.
The longer you last in a fight, the higher the chance you can outlast your opponent.
But the more control you have over your resources, the more malleable it becomes.
So in lammens terms:
Better chakra control -> less chakra spent on jutsu -> more chakra natures you can unlock -> more jutsu.
Yes, I'm opening up all chakra natures to all Shinobi but with one restriction.
Chakra natures simply starts out as basic affinities, some are kekegenkai but even then that doesn't mean that someone else can unlock those chakra natures. Here is how it works, and I'm going to use Sakura and the Senju Clan as an example.
Wood release is a specialty of the Senju Clan, it relies on both water and earth release, however we only see Hashirama use Wood Release.
Tobirama only uses Water Release.
Tsunade doesn't use any release.
Sakura is stated to have an affinity for Water and Earth Release, and has canonically unlocked Fire Release just so she could marry Sasuke.
So how does this work in this new system? Simple: Tobirama chose not to learn any Earth and Wood Release techniques out of a rivalry with Hashirama. Tsunade had no interest in learning any release and simply chose to master Medical Ninjutsu.
This also means that since Sakura surpasses Tsunade in chakra control, she can easily unlock Wood Release.
Speaking of Chakra Control....
Here is how the hierarchy of Chakra Control and the basic releases that they will inevitably unlock with practice:
1.) Basic Shinobi (academy students to Chunin)
-> Natural Affinity release and basic academy techniques.
2.) Jonin
-> Natural Affinity release, basic academy techniques, along with unlocking 1 or 2 release types that are close in nature to their initial release type.
Example: Sasuke has Fire Release, fire is a type of plasma, lightning is just inoized plasma. Lightning Release is thus a far more concentrated sister of Fire Release.
3.) Fuinjutsu
Fuinjutsu is the art of sealing techniques. Sealing things into scrolls and summoning them. This is Tenten's specialty aside from her Kenjutsu.
-> Natural Affinity release, basic academy techniques, sealing and summoning techniques, along with unlocking 2-3 release types that are close in nature to their initial release type.
4.) Genjutsu
-> Natural Affinity release, basic academy techniques, sealing and summoning techniques, illusion based techniques, along with unlocking 3-4 release types.
5.) Medical Ninjutsu
-> Natural Affinity release, basic academy techniques, sealing and summoning techniques, illusion based techniques, medical Ninjutsu along with unlocking all chakra natures.
HOWEVER:
here is the restriction I mentioned earlier.
The Shinobi has to CHOOSE as to whether or not they even WANT to expand their reach with chakra natures and if they even want that diverse of a kit.
Using Tobirama as an example, it never made sense that he is related to Hashirama, Wood Release was stated to be a kekegenkai but he never, not once, used a fucking Wood Release Jutsu, ONLY Water Release.
The same argument goes for Tsunade. She is the granddaughter and niece of those two guys and didn't have one Wood Release Jutsu, not one Water or Earth Style Jutsu.
This means that if we want to keep Tobirama and Tsunade as restricted as they are in the source material, we have it that it takes a LOT of skill and mastery to to diversify one's kit. And the earlier list is just a natural progression of chakra natures if the Shinobi so chooses. The door is there, it is just waiting for someone to open it.
Now let's get to the tailed beasts who were fucking boring because they all had the same skills in the war arc and the bullshit number of tails thing:
In this conceptualized rewrite I'm thinking that the Tailed Beasts should all be figuratively equal in power, territorial, and have their own specific benefits when it comes to the reason for their capture and relationships with the Shinobi villages and lands.
So let's go through the list:
1.) Shukaku:
A Hyena and Tanuki mix. Creates an eternal Sandstorm that surrounds Suna. Shinobi and civilians in/from Suna are "blessed" with the ability to travel to and from Suna without hindrance. Magnet Release is more likely to appear in the village. Eternal insomnia for their Jinchiruiki (eats away at their host's mind via nightmares and bloodlust -- psychologically torturing them) all the while possessing their Jinchiruiki.
Shukaku can change their own gender whenever they want. They purposely changed their gender to female just to manipulate Gaara when he was a child. Yes, Shukaku is that much of an asshole.
2.) Matabi:
Grants villagers and Shinobi general knowledge and curiosity. Pest Control (usual pest animals avoid the village, villagers, and Shinobi). Shinobi and Villagers naturally know all the cardinal directions and which way is up and down even when incapacitated. Storm Release is more likely to appear in the village. Only hangs around Gyuki because of all the fish.
3.) Isobu:
Surrounds the village in a mist that has an automatic Genjutsu to protect the village -- this led the Shinobi and Villagers from the Hidden Mist to have an extreme resistance to Genjutsu. Boil Release is more likely to appear in the village. In a symbiotic relationship with Saiken.
4.) Goku
Protects Shinobi and Villagers from natural disaster (even in their travels). Blessed the village with an abundance of minerals. Magma Release is more likely to appear in the village.
5.) Kokuō
Is a mountain goat. Grants Villagers and Shinobi the ability to walk up anything that is at a 90° angle WITHOUT USING CHAKRA, extreme endurance. Earth Release is extremely common.
6.) Saiken
Blesses the Villagers and Shinobi with protection from parasites (they can drink from ANY water source and not get sick). Corrosion Release -- a kekei tora wind/water/fire -- more likely to appear. (Acid spit and bubbles etc.) In a symbiotic relationship with Isobu.
7.) Chomei:
Is a giant queen bee. Has a hive. Blessed the Villagers and Shinobi with an abundance of pollinators (bees, butterflies, wasps, etc.) thus leading to an abundance of crops, medical herbs etc. Gives access to a chakra enhancing and healing honey. Wood Release is more likely to appear.
8.) Gyuki:
Blessed the villagers and Shinobi with safe travels and shipping in the waters, abundance of sea life. Produces ink. Water Release is extremely common. His abundance of sea life is what attracted Matabi much to his chagrin (he secretly likes the company).
9.) Kurama:
Attracts all kinds of animals (this is why the Hidden Leaf has the Inuzuka Clan, Nara Clan, Aburame Clan, and animal summons). Fire Release is extremely common.
With all of this out of the way now we have a fun playground to work with. We can have jinchiruiki (even if they don't know they are jinchiruiki) become extremely uncomfortable and naturally paranoid if they're out of "their territory" and twice as so when in another's territory, which means we can up Gaara's lethality during the Chunin Exams, and make Naruto more hostile towards him.
We can do so much here.
But here is my favorite little thing to add to the story:
No one knows where the tailed beasts came from. They're just there. And unknown to many, people can become tailed beasts... (*Cough* Shukaku *cough* literally was the initial cannon before the Shippuden bullshit retcon.)
------
Moving on to Sakura Haruno we need to change five fundamentals that will eventually apply to her.
1.) Tsunade created the Strength of a 100 Seal.
2.) Tsunade was the first person to ever work with Katsuyu.
3.) The Slug Sage is only a concept.
4.) Sakura only became a Ninja to be able to protect the ones she loves.
5.) Sakura fell out of love with Sasuke the moment he turned his back on the village and tried to kill Naruto.
To up Sakura's usefulness in the beginning of the show, let's have it that she is observant enough to notice Kakashi is playing favorites with Sasuke. So she trains with Naruto much to her own reluctance.
Naruto keeps trying to boost her confidence and teaches her the Shadow Clone Jutsu while she tries to teach him basic Chakra Control. (She can only make one clone but it's a start.)
During the Zabuza Arc, she uses a clone to try to help Naruto and Sasuke but Haku drags that clone and uses and himself as a barrier to block Kakashi's Chidori.
Sakura gains the memories of that clone's death.
This makes her train twice as hard and makes her feel immense regret because she did very little on that mission and couldn't protect Naruto and Sasuke. Yes, she cares for Naruto like a sibling. Those two came out of that fight looking like porcupines, that scared the shit out of her.
She discovers Tsunade in a book in a library and creates a rough theory on to how Tsunade has so much strength.
Can somewhat use a rough concept of it in the Chunin Exams.
Sakura vs Gaara.
Sakura punches Gaara's lights out, causing Shukaku to go on a rampage.
Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Sakura tells Naruto and the others to be careful and that she'd rather them come back alive than having a single one of them dying just to bring back Sasuke. (This shows that she has compassion and empathy).
When Naruto wakes up after the mission she hugs him and cries that she's sorry she was too weak to go on the mission with him and the others, and that she is happy he is alive.
And that's what I have so far.
Okay that's my brain vomit for you. Have fun with it if you want.
Remember, one does not simply punch Madara in the balls. One must punch Madara in the balls with Sakura Strength. (I don't like Sasuke but Madara is worse. He is the edgiest edgy bitch who has ever edged his way into an edge concert just to edge.)

you made me cry with the answer of if you knew who Naruto's father was It would have been cool to see something like that. I think he would have shown another approach than being with Iruka and/or Kakashi
Now, here’s the thing: on paper, Kakashi was the best teacher for those kids.
He was intimately familiar with the Yondaime’s teaching styles, his sealing, his techniques, even going as far as to be able to use Minato’s unfinished rasengan. Not only that, but with the Sharingan he had the ability to keep the Kyuubi in check should Naruto’s seal ever leak in training.
With Sasuke, he was not only another sharingan user, but also his brother’s captain in ANBU. He knew clan jutsus that Sasuke never got to learn that were his birthright. He shared a lightning release with him, and knew what it would be like to be a kid clan head, as he’s the last Hatake in Konoha.
Sakura would have been the best for him though. They both scored in the 99th percentile for chakra control, and both typically work on a shoestring budget of chakra. They’re both suited less to flashier techniques and more assassination (or healing, the two have a scary amount of overlap) techniques. Something that also was mentioned and never worked with is that Sakura is a genius. More so than Sasuke, I’m talking she had the genius to rival kid Kakashi or the Yondaime at her age. Her test scores were always a fraction of a percent behind Sasuke’s, because beating him would be ‘unladylike’ or some shit. In the intel gathering stage of the chunin exam, she didn’t cheat. Not once did she look up from her paper, and answered questions 1-9 accurately. A genin barely six months out of the academy correctly answered questions most high level chunin or new jonin would struggle with. I was sorely disappointed when she lost out in the preliminaries, as I would have offered to train her myself if Kakashi chose not to.
… sorry for that last tangent, but yeah. Kakashi could have been really good for those kids.

i dont really follow you but i do stop by every once in a while, and it's bc i really like your naruto fics (there's two now! its awesome!!) anyway i don't have really any specific questions but if there's literally anything you'd like to say about any of your fics i'd love to hear them!! i feel kinda awkward not asking any questions so ill try to brainstorm a few:
do you have any hatake clan headcanons? or ig would you expand on them? you mentioned it a bit in the kakashi & minato fic
was shikamaru any good at carving before making the pendant for sakura, or did he have a small pile of attempts by the end of it?
also in the shikasaku fic, you mention naruto is good with seals. did he learn from jiraiya, someone else, or on his own?
hatake clan headcanons.... my main one is ofc the "hatake eat people" one because i read all of ourliazo's kakashi fics and it changed my brain chemistry irreparably. most of the ones i subscribe to are the usual run-of-the-mill hcs: wolf summons, pack instincts, canine teeth (all the better to rend the flesh from your bones, my dear!), etc etc.
one of my own hatake hcs is that they're just all fucking awful at dealing with grief. the real reason why (in my head) the hatake clan was whittled down to just sakumo and kakashi before sakumo killed himself despite a clan-wide history of martial excellency was because basically all the able-bodied hatake were sent out during the first shinobi world war. it was fine at first, bc they're all batshit crazy powerful, flinging around lightning jutsu like they're tossing candies and mazel tovs at a jewish wedding.
then, one of the pack is killed. all falls silent.
a hatake throws his head back, howls his fury at the heavens, and the skies split with lightning.
basically, it was sort of like a feedback loop; one hatake dies, another goes fucking crazy in a feral beserker rampage to avenge them (killing a whole lot of people bunch of people through sheer proximity to the white chakra crackling around them but ultimately making themselves easier to kill through sacrifice of technique for brute strength and viciousness), and then they die, and now we've circled back to stage one.
sakumo didn't go nutzo bc he fixated on the village. duty and loyalty and preservation of the hearth & home. a wolf forcing himself into the shape of a sheepdog so he'll be allowed to herd the flock. he made the entirety of konoha his pack and, well. we know how that story ended.
so really, by hatake terms, kakashi is positively mentally sound! isn't that incredibly funny to think about? (actually i have tons of thoughts about kakashi and the concept of suicide and how he's only not dead because how would obito see the world through his eye if he was too dead to see anything at all :( but i won't air allat out here lol. this is already too long)
this is less a hatake clan hc and more a kakashi hc, but in my mind kakashi totally started wearing masks because he just wouldn't quit biting people that annoyed him. and as a precocious toddler smarter than all his peers and also quite a number of adults, many, many people annoyed him. it didn't really stop him from biting people, but the scant amount of time spent dragging it down gave sakumo and later minato (though not so much after sakumo died and kakashi turned into a rulebook) enough of an opportunity to grab him before he could lunge teeth-first.
tbh the token thing was totally something i made up on the spot, but now that i think about it, woodworking does seem like a shikamaru sort of hobby, huh? i like to think ino forced him to find one for himself that wasn't cloud watching or shogi when they were kids because she found both horrifically boring. shikamaru likes to whittle while on watch during missions because woodworking + playing a game of mental shogi against himself + paying constant and vigilant attention to his surroundings is probably the appropriate amount of stimulation to a nara mind in focus.
i said naruto was good with seals? where did i say that? i tried to ctrl f it, but came up with nothing. maybe you've got me mixed up with another fic?
anyway, thank you for stopping by, anon!! this was such a pleasant surprise. i love getting asks. 💙

Lightning Style: Tiger's Fury
for @kkgiweek Eternal Rival's Creators Challange
Daily Prompt: Lightning
Point Bracket: 2500-4000 (10x2= 20 points)
thank you to @maitogaimybeloved for the amazing fic idea <3 <3 <3
They only had one shot.
One opportunity to get this new jutsu right.
If it didn’t work this time, they’d be forced to wait another week, or possibly month, before they’d get another try at it. Any other jutsu might have taken them a few years, or possibly a month, to create together.
A lightning Hirudora, though. That had been a work in progress for a year already because Gai could only use his part of the attack once. If he tried to use it a second time his muscle tears would be ten times worse and he’d be out of commission for a week.
Konoha couldn’t lose one of their top shinobi for a week.
“Are you ready?”
“As ready as I can be,” Gai rolled his shoulders. “Think we can succeed this time?”
“We have to,” he wasn’t trying to be harsh, but they couldn’t keep trying to perfect the jutsu as often as they wanted. It had to be done right, and they had to remember everything about what they’d done to successfully create this grand idea that they’d come up with over dango.
“A lightning Hirudora!” Gai cheered, his stick of dango waving through the air. “Can you imagine it, Kakashi? My Hirudora mixed with your lighting. It would be unstoppable.”
“I thought Hirudora was already unstoppable?” His eye followed that stick of dango as it continued to move, body ready to move if it got just a little too close to him.
“It is!” Gai confirmed with another cheer. “But with your lightning it would be even more unstoppable. A hirudora that can not only pummelled the opponent, but can leave them completely incapacitated from the sheer power mixed with electricity. Even the best shinobi wouldn’t be able to beat us.”
“And how are we supposed to work on it, hmmm?” He surged over the table and snatched the stick of dango out of Gai’s hand when it got a little too close to a passing civilian's face. “Careful.”
“Sorry,” Gai bowed toward the civilian before returning to their conversation as if nothing had happened. “I have a day off tomorrow, we can work on it now.”
“Your muscles will tear.”
“They will,” he confirmed. “But if I'm just using Hirudora and not actually fighting, the tears should be easy to mend. A day’s rest should be more than enough after I see the doctors.”
“I’ll have to carry you to see those doctors, and I can only do that once you’ve recovered enough for me to be able to touch you.”
“That’s alright,” he held his hand out, wiggling his fingers. Taking the hint, Kakashi placed the stick of dango down in his grasp. “You show up at least once a month from a mission looking like you’re about to fall face first into the dirt. Carrying me to the hospital once will make up for all of those times I’ll need to carry you.”
It wasn’t just once he’d had to carry Gai.
So far they’d tried the jutsu twice already, and both times they’d failed spectacularly, and it was Kakashi’s fault. Gai’s hirudora was exactly the same every time he used it. The same force, the same power, the same speed.
Kakashi was the one who had to adjust his lightning beast tracking fang to fuse with the Hirudora perfectly. The first time they’d tried it he’d put too little power behind his jutsu and a spectacular nothing happened.
Hirudora destroyed the jutsu on impact and continued down its path until it dissipated
The second time they tried was three months later, and Kakashi put too much power into his jutsu this time. Rather than being destroyed on impact by Hirudora, the two techniques clashed and caused a shock wave that knocked both of them back a solid five feet and destroyed the first row of trees that circled the training field they’d chosen as their location.
The bruises they’d received from that failed attempt had earned them an earful from Lord Third, who had a few opinions about the technique they were attempting to create. If either of them were smart they would have heeded his instructions and stopped trying to create this jutsu.
They were smart, incredibly so, but they were also equally determined to make it work. If they could do that, then not only would they be unstoppable, but they’d have the satisfaction of proving Lord Third wrong.
“Alright,” digging his feet in, he glanced at Gai. “Let’s get it right this time.”
“Yosh! Gate of wonder, open!” In an instant everything shifted. His body bulked just slightly as his muscles increased, and what started as blue sweat dripping from his forehead and neck quickly evaporated to create a blue chakra like aura that radiated around him.
Even after years of seeing the technique being used in battles, Kakashi still felt a shiver run down his spine when Gai opened that seventh gate. It was the last gate he could open before there was no coming back, and that terrified him.
He’d only agreed to trying this technique because ultimately he’d managed to convince himself that it was the only way he could prevent Gai from ever opening that final gate.
If he could work with Gai to create an unstoppable jutsu, then the eighth gate would never be needed. He’d be able to breath easily knowing that Gai would only ever have to push himself to ripped muscles and agonising pain for a short period. There would never be a need for him to watch as Gai’s body burned so hot that it disintegrated into ash that would blow away in the slightest breeze.
That was why he had to get this right.
To do what little he could to keep another precious person from dying in front of him.
“Alright,” digging his feet in, he lifted his hands and pressed them together. “On the count of three?”
“One,” Gai began without hesitation, his hands curling into fists while he stepped forward with his left foot and began pulling his right arm back.
“Two,” focusing his chakra he began weaving his hands into the necessary signs.
“Three!” Gai slammed his fist forward, the air around it gathering into one giant attack. As the tiger’s face began to form just inches in front of the fist Kakashi finished his hand seals.
Just two feet in front of them the jutsu’s formed. One giant tiger made of compressed air, and a wolf created from condensed lighting. It was a beautiful sight, but not exactly what they were looking for.
“You’ve got it perfect this time, right?” Gai called over the air rushing around them.
“I’ve got it!” Watching the jutsu’s as they charged forward, Kakashi waited until they’d made it a few feet away before directing his jutsu toward the Hirudora. It wasn’t far enough to save them from breaking their rib’s if the technique collapsed into another shock wave, but he wasn’t worried about that.
He’d thought about it round the clock.
Practiced his lightning beast: tracking fang every opportunity he got so he could control the amount of power he put into it perfectly.
It was going to work.
It had to work.
“Moment of truth!” he called out as the techniques connected. Lightning began to swirl around the Hirudora, crackling and breaking as the pressure pulled it in every direction. Bracing himself for impact, he reached out and grabbed hold of Gai’s arm,
Last time he hadn’t done that and the hard crash against the ground had caused Gai immense pain. This time Kakashi was ready to pull Gai into his arms and take the brunt of the fall if he had to.
He just really hoped it didn’t come to that.
“It hasn’t exploded yet!”
“Yet,” Kakashi’s eyes followed the jutsu as it flew through the air, lightning twisting into air. As it got further, his lightning seemed to merge into the Gai’s hirudora. His fingers gripped Gai’s arm, ready to pull him close the second something went wrong.
It didn’t go wrong, though.
It went right. So incredibly, beautifully right.
His lightning twisted into the pressurized air of the Hirudora, filling every available space until the usually white tiger began glowing blue. It was a giant tiger made of electricity, and it was beautiful.
“We did it,” he whispered.
“We did it!” Gai jumped toward him, arms wrapping around his neck and pulling him into a hard kiss. His mask hadn’t been moved so there was a thin layer of fabric between their lips, but it did nothing to dampen the warmth Kakashi felt flooding through him as he deepened the kiss.
Breaking apart slowly, they pressed their foreheads together and chuckled. “That’s it! That’s our attack, Kakashi.” Gai’s breath tickled his skin. “Something no one else can copy!”
He was right. Even if someone else could use Kakashi’s lightning beast: tracking fang, the seventh gate was an incredibly difficult technique to learn, and that was if a person even learned about the eight gates in the first place.
The only person he knew that could use the gates was Gai, and he was unlikely to fuse his hirudora with anyone but Kakashi. It truly was a move that they could claim as their own.
“It needs a name,” he surprised himself with the words that fell from his mouth. Usually he wouldn’t name a technique until he’d successfully used it three times, just to make sure he wasn’t committing to something he might not be able to replicate in the future.
That wasn’t an option here. The two of them had agreed they would only practice the jutsu until it succeeded once. Doing anymore was risky and irresponsible. They couldn’t risk putting Gai out of commission on every day off he had.
If they did that, Gai would never get a proper rest day to enjoy with their friends.
Their jutsu was brand new, hardly tested, imperfect, and in desperate need of a name.
“A name fitting of the greatest technique the world has ever seen,” he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at Gai’s dramatics. They’d only succeeded at the jutsu once and already he was acting like it was better than anything a shinobi had done in the past. “How about tiger’s fang, or daytime lightning. No, that doesn’t sound right.”
The time was ticking. If they didn’t hurry Gai would collapse into a heap of agony, unable to think clearly enough to come up with a name worthy of such a jutsu.
Just as he was beginning to think of a name, a loud crash echoed through the air, causing the two of them to break apart and stare down the path they’d sent their attack flying down. The crash confirmed that their new attack could go a decent amount before disappearing out, but the distance wasn’t what concerned Kakashi at the moment.
The sound that followed that crash was of much more interest.
It was similar to a tiger’s roar, but amplified one-hundred times with the crackle of lightning reverberating through it. He didn’t just feel chills running down his spin at the thought of an approaching tiger. His entire body stiffened with fear, ears listening out for an animal that he knew wasn’t coming.
No creature with any sense of survival would stick around after a sound like that.
“Lightning style: Tiger’s rage.”
“Huh?” Gai dragged his eyes away from the path they’d sent their attack flying down and stared at him with a puzzled expression.
“The name,” he clarified. “We should call it Lightning style: Tiger’s rage.”
“Tiger’s rage,” as he Repeated the name, a proud smile stretched across his lips, reaching all the way into his beautiful black eyes. “Leave it to you to come up with a fitting name. That’s what we’ll call it, then. Tiger’s ra-”
In an instant the blue vapour that had surrounded him vanished and Gai’s knees crumpled under him. If it were any other instance Kakashi would have stepped in to catch him, preventing him from hitting the ground.
That would have only made matters worse for Gai. so instead he stood there and watched as he fell with a loud thud, groaning as the adrenaline that came with using the eight gates wore off.
“You alright?” he asked, a playful note in his voice. If Gai could he would have slapped his leg. Unfortunately for him, doing such a thing would only cause him more pain. “Well, I guess there’s no choice.”
Dropping down, he stretched his legs out and laid down in the grass beside Gai. It wasn’t the most comfortable position, but comfort wasn’t his goal. All he cared about was keeping Gai company while his body recovered from the incredible pain it was put through after opening the seventh gate.
“Tiger’s rage,” he watched as the clouds passed by overhead. “Our first official combo move.”
“First,” Gai laughed, regretting it immediately when his muscles screamed at the miniscule vibration that ran through his body. “Are you saying we’re going to make more, Rival?”
With each word he spoke Kakashi could see the pain he was in.
The sheer agony he suffered, just to be able to talk to him.
“Relax,” he insisted. “You’re just going to prolong the recovery period if you push yourself.”
“Answer the question,” his face twisted into an agonized look. If Kakashi’s didn’t know any better he’d swear his rival was under some sort of genjutsu torture. He did know better, though, and the truth was far more devastating.
Someone torturing Gai was sickening enough, but if that ever happened he’d at least have a target to take out his anger on. There was no one for him to target in this instance. No one held the blame for Gai’s suffering except Gai and Kakashi.
He’s the one who agreed to do this. He knew what using the seventh gate would do to Gai and he’d still agreed to the insanity of creating a jutsu that required it.
“Answer,” reaching over, he hovered his hand just above Gai’s mouth. Not touching him so he didn’t worsen his pain, but making a point that seemed to work. Gai had settled, and the two of them sat there in comfortable silence.
Only after a few minutes of blissful silence staring up at the sky, did Kakashi finally answer the question Gai had insisted on asking him.
“We can make more,” he smiled down at Gai. “Techniques and jutsu’s that we can use without having to open any gates. How does that sound?”
Gai didn’t answer using his words or by moving his body. He continued to lay there, eyes sparkling with an excitement that Kakashi knew all too well. Words weren’t needed for him to understand how excited Gai was at the prospect of creating more combos with him.
Anyone who looked into his eyes could see that he was raring to go. If it weren’t for the fact that his body was currently incapacitated by torn muscles, he had no doubt he’d jump to his feet right that minute and start rattling off all sorts of ideas.
All of that would have to wait. Gai needed to recover, and if he was being honest with himself he didn’t want to think about the next great jutsu quite yet. He was still riding the high of succeeding in this jutsu.
That would get him through the next week at least. Then he could start thinking about what other kinds of techniques the two of them could do together. Whether they would mold two of their more basic moves together, or create something completely different.
#rivalschallenge25#Rivals Challenge 25#Team Kakashi 25#Kakagai#These two are so extra they have to make their own combo move#and honestly I love that for them <3

Why Karui could be an Uzumaki in Naruto, explored:

Modified Jul 14, 2024 02:30 GMT by Umer
Naruto: Exploring Karui as a potential member of the Uzumaki clan
Disclaimer: Any opinions expressed in this article solely belong to the author.

Karui from Naruto is the wife of Choji Akimichi and a character to whom fans tend to not pay much attention. This could be due to her origins from the Hidden Cloud Village and not having that much of a significant jutsu technique which could intrigue fans about her.
But there is one characteristic about her that could be more than just intriguing and could tie her to one of the most powerful clans of the Hidden Leaf Village, her crimson red hair. This makes sense considering how her origins haven't been revealed yet and this could make her one of the descendants of the Uzumaki clan who are known for their crimson hair.

Karui was a kunoichi of Team Samui of the Hidden Cloud Village that worked directly under the Fourth Raikage. Omoi and Samui were part of her team. During the Five Kage Summit, the kunoichi assaulted Naruto in hopes of getting some information out of him regarding Sasuke Uchiha and his hideout.
However, the protagonist remained steadfast and wanted to solve everything through negotiation. Later on, she took part in the Fourth Great Ninja War and was caught in the Infinite Tsukuyomi. After the protagonist and Sasuke defeated Kaguya Otsutsuki, the kunoichi was released alongside the other people who were trapped inside the ultimate genjutsu.
After the war, there was a Blank Period before the Boruto series started which was explored through the light novels, Sasuke Shinden and Sakura Hiden. This revealed that Choji was interested in the kunoichi from their very first meeting and visited her in the Hidden Cloud Village frequently.

As the new era started, Karui emigrated to the Hidden Leaf Village, joined the Akimichi clan, and married Choji. She also had a daughter, Chocho Akimichi, who was a part of the new generation of InoShikaCho. The only thing about the kunoichi that intrigued fans is her crimson red hair, which is the trademark of the Uzumaki clan members.
Her origins are unknown as she was just introduced as a part of the Hidden Cloud Village. Moreover, the Hidden Cloud Village is known for stealing bloodline abilities, just like how they tried to steal the Byakugan.
So, one of Karui's parents could be a Uzumaki member whom the Hidden Cloud Village stole from the Hidden Leaf Village. This could make her a member of the same lineage as the protagonist.
This theory is a mere piece of speculation as it was constructed from a plothole that was left behind by the author, Masashi Kishimoto. Yes, crimson red hair is the characteristic of the Uzumaki clan but they have some more prominent characteristics.
The Uzumaki clan members, like Kushina Uzumaki and Mito Uzumaki, had exceptional sealing jutsu capabilities and immense reserves of chakra. Karui, on the other hand, didn't do any such thing as she used lightning chakra. But there could still be a chance of her not showcasing such abilities in the anime/manga so take this article with a huge grain of salt.
Leave a comment below about this wild theory.

Hi guys *throws my naruto oc at u*
ALSO FORGIVE ME FOR DRAWING. A SHITTY HAT ITS MY FIRST TIME DRAWING A COWBOY HAT OK💔💔💔

Idk her name yet but her clan/last name is Yoso (means Element iirc)
She's 5'10 (I think she's about the third tallest in the Akatsuki), 25 years old, has light-brown hair, black eyes, tan skin, red nails, long and wild hair, doesn't wear any of the Akatsuki rings, and has western boots and a hat. (Listen cowboy shinobi are fucking cool okay)
Main personality traits: Despite her intimidating appearance, she's slightly socially awkward (she gets a little shy easily) and surprisingly friendly, even if she seems standoffish. She has good intentions. She's immensely loyal. Once you get to know her, she's actually very calm and relaxed, almost casual at times. She definitely knows when to be formal and serious, however. At times, she can seem to do things spontaneous or rather at a whim, having an overall versatile personality. She's obedient and pliant most of the time, getting along well easily with many personality types. She's rather quiet, not really speaking unless if she is directly spoken to. She is very patient despite being a berserker-type fighter. More into that later.
Appearance: With her cloak and hat on, she seems to be rather mysterious, the only notable features being her gaze and wild hair. Without her cloak, her appearance looks almost like a primal/animal-based shinobi. She has a rather muscular body for a woman, multiple battle scars from countless battles riddled on her tan skin. She has a small scar on the upper-left corner of her cheek, the only scar on her face. She wraps her upper torso in bandages for unknown reasons despite not being injured. She doesn't let much of her be visible, even keeping her arms not in their sleeves. Though, in battle, she normally takes off her hat and opens her cloak, the collar just resting on her shoulders, akin to a cape.
Fighting-style/prowess:
Specializes in: Taijutsu, Lightning-style Jutsu, Chakra control
The reason why she is so calm is because when angered, her wrath is like a lightning storm. However, due to her having a rather patient temper by default, it can be a bit hard to activate the berserker state at times. Sometimes, it's completely a whim, as if she were to get bothered one day she wouldn't really care, but if she was bothered the same way on a different day, all hell would break loose. Sometimes, she straight-up doesn't even feel like fighting. To counter this, Sasori made injections for her that trigger the chemicals in her brain to make her forcibly enter the berserk state, and she carries 3 injections with her at all times. In this state, she doesn't feel much pain and moves much faster and has amplified strength. However, the fatigue and pain after the state subsides is great. She is able to concentrate her chakra to her nose and ears, giving her a very keen sense of smell and hearing, rivaling the Inuzuka clan. She has a lot of chakra reserve, but the amount of chakra her jutsus takes up quickly flushes out her chakra. In exchange for this, her elemental output is greatly increased, her jutsus being much stronger than the average shinobi. This ties into her kekkei genkai of the Yoso clan. Her Taijutsu prowess is immense, as she doesn't use any weapon aside from occasionally using ninja-tools. Her taijutsu style is unpredictable, specializing in heavy hits and brute strength with technique.
Yoso clan and their kekkei genkai:
The Yoso clan is a rather small clan, not really well known either, since they spend their life mostly in forests. Their kekkei genkai is that when born with whatever natural chakra affinity they have, it gets amplified x5. Essentially, if someone were to do a fire jutsu, it would be much weaker than a Yoso clan member with a fire chakra affinity doing the same jutsu. In exchange for this great increase in power, when a clan member uses a jutsu, it takes up a good chunk of their chakra. The average clan member can use two jutsu consecutively, while my OC can use three. Her chakra affinity is lightning.
Backstory:
Not much honestly aside from being from the Yoso clan. She used to be a nomad after she went rogue, having come from a very small village. While she was a nomad, she used to be a bounty hunter, usually third-partying fights simply to train or collect bounties. Because of this, she accidentally made herself get a bounty and reputation due to occasionally killing ANBU Corp or High-Rank officials. She joined the Akatsuki because Pain helped her when she was wounded and then asked her to join. During her years as a nomad, she picked up slightly wild/animalistic tendencies, making her taijutsu a bit beast-like and very unpredictable.
Anyways I hope she isn't like a Mary sue or smth lmk if she is 😭💔
If you want to draw her, go ahead, but tag me in the art work(I wanna see it!!♡)

Hi! I enjoy your analyses and I have a question. When Kakashi teaches Team 7 about chakra control, he mentions that someone with stellar chakra control would have little issue with learning just about any kind of jutsu. I thought, since Sakura has such impeccable chakra control, it makes sense that she'd be able to learn Fire Style jutsu without having it as her natural affinity. But then people kept saying it would be impossible for her despite evidence to the contrary in Sasuke Retsuden. Are the naysayers right, or are they just hating on her like usual?
They're hating per usual you know how defensive they get when it comes to Sakura Haruno.
It's not impossible for her to learn Fire Release, in fact, anyone can learn a jutsu from the 5 elements as long as they have the talent for it.
Shinobi have an affinity to one element, like Naruto's is wind and Sasuke's is Lightning. Despite that, Sasuke is able to use his family's Fireball Technique and Kakashi is able to perform ninjutsu from any element.
This is unlike Yin or Yang which are ingrained in the shinobi at birth, so shinobi who haven't Yin Release are less proficient in genjutsu or mental energy techniques, and lack of Yang forbids medical ninjutsu or physical energy techniques.
So yes, Sakura can learn Fire Release because it's just a matter of her learning the hand seals to perform the jutsu.

(incomplete) Backstory (will be updated...)
Naomi Senju is the only daughter of Lady Tsunade and The Toad Sage Jiraiya— a result of a one-night stand between the two legendary sannins who shared a complex relationship. She was raised by her mother, unaware of who her father was until she was 4 years old due to her mother’s wariness on Jiraiya’s stance on fatherhood or his ability to commit to such a life. But he adored his daughter once finding out about her, despite still being gone most of the time to ‘research’ for his novels or on actual missions. When he would visit the village, he’d spend days with both his daughter and Tsunade. Bonding with both of them and even training Naomi little by little— and she was a little prodigy. Her chakra control and output being her strong suit even when just enrolling in the academy– which she did early at just age 4.
As Naomi aged, her mother’s gambling addiction grew ‘worse’ and she too was often gone— Leaving a young Naomi to become self-sufficient early on. She studied on her own, and with the sensei’s from the academy more often than she’d do anything else. However, her years in the ninja academy were vital for her— making a select few friendships that would last a lifetime with her fellow classmates. The young Senju struggled with making friends, though mostly due to how hot-headed she came off at that age. Not tolerating bullying around her, and not hesitating to fight others that tried to push her too far. She would have gotten in trouble if it wasn’t for how the adults seemed to favor her, be it for her young talent or sannin parentage.
The competitive prodigy she was, once Naomi heard wind of her friend Kakashi taking the graduation exam early, she couldn’t bear falling behind. Frustrated, the young girl stormed off in a fury without thinking— not paying attention to if anyone was watching her or where she was going. She found herself lost in the forest outside of the village before several large, ferocious animals approached her. Snarling and sniffing at her before relaxing, rubbing against her extended hand for them to smell. It was confusing and odd, both for Naomi and Orochimaru who watched from a distance. The scene before the sannin taught him not to move any closer, expecting the animals to be sensitive to who could get to whatever they were guarding. But for some reason, Naomi was allowed— in fact, one of the oversized hounds began to lead her further into the woods. It was in this forest she’d find the Senju Clan’s hideout for the first time, reading a small inscription that guided her on entry before making her way inside. Curiously and anxiously looking around before spotting scroll after scroll, and book after book. She stayed in the hidden temple for hours, reading and attempting to replicate what she’d learned. When she finally left the building, Naomi knew she had learned something that would for sure convince the academy to allow her to graduate early too.
When she returned to the village, being guided out of the thick of the forest by the oversized puppies(in her eyes), Naomi went straight to her sensei and insisted he’d watch her perform a jutsu for graduation. Once given permission, she led the teachers outdoors and began to form hand signs in quick succession before a beam of wood protruded from the palm of her hand. Extending towards a tree only 3 yards away from the young girl, before falling onto the ground. With an annoyed huff, she stomped and released the jutsu- allowing the wood to fall from her hand before she crossed her arms over her chest in a pout as she complained she didn’t do it correctly. Despite this little tantrum for not being ‘perfect,’ both the teachers and Orochimaru in the distance were astonished to see the young girl performing wood-style release even if unpolished. She was instantly granted the right to graduate alongside Kakashi. Although neither of them would be placed on teams of 3 until later, they instead did small solo assignments within the village until the rest of their class graduated.
It was due to her unexpected ability to hone wood-style jutsu that Orochimaru would take an initial interest in her- her potential rather, especially considering the experiments he was actively working on at the time in secret. He’d start to come by more often, offering her guidance in her training until she would eventually be placed on a team of 3 alongside her friend Anko under the sannin’s tutelage. Like Anko, Orochimaru would bring Naomi to his laboratory and teach her. Both the young girls looked up to him, and Naomi even felt pride at how well she retained information or would actually assist in his work- even if she didn’t understand what was going on with it, or any of the real details. Years would pass of Naomi growing close to her sensei, attached to both him and the lab itself– almost seeing it as a safe place to do and say as she pleases. And yet, it was one fateful day when Orochimaru would bring Naomi to his lab that would change her life, and how she’d view those ‘happy’ memories of training with him for years to come. The day he would place the curse mark on her before doing the same to Anko days later, the original version of it— with Hashirama cells, curious to see how she’d react compared to the Senju children like Tenzo he was experimenting on. It was painful, confusing, and horrifying for the young girl— but she survived, and that was a positive. Soon after both she and Anko return to the village, the third coincidentally finds out about Orochimaru’s experiments on the different children and humans. Leading the girl’s sensei to abandon both them and the village altogether.
Following Orochimaru’s disappearance, Naomi struggled to manage her curse mark while still training for the chunin exams– Seeing as when Orochimaru was still both her and Anko’s sensei he recommended the team for promotion. All three of his previous students would pass the exams and become chunin.
For 4 years, Naomi went on missions with other chunin or assisted Jonin on any assignments she could get in between her solo training– trying to make up for the loss of a teacher on her own. Although, she finally got some solid one-on-one training with her father, Jiraiya, in this period of ‘peace.’ He’d finally teach her about his hair manipulation technique or more specifically the Needle Jizō technique.
When the nine tails attacked, Naomi was 14. Despite all she’d seen and gone through up to this point, the destruction left on her home by the nine-tails was unlike anything she’d ever seen before. The horrors she saw from the attack caused her to put her studies and training into overdrive as if she wasn’t already overworking herself. In just two years after the nine-tails attack, Naomi had successfully passed the exam and additional requirements to be promoted to Jonin at age 16. (I will make posts with art of her I get commissioned over time to describe and talk about her life during the series !! and potentially write more about her as a whole.)

The first JUTSU playtest day was last night, and it went great. The narrative bones created exactly the kind of zany fights I was looking for. The numbers need a little work, the fights need to be a smidge snapier, but that's why we playtest.
Best of all, the random tables worked perfectly. Our setting was a steampunk desert world, built on the bones of ancient giants. The players had the following powers:
Could turn into an extra large mammoth for a few seconds
Had a hippo companion named Snowglobe with a powered up ice form
Could grow an extra tongue anywhere on their body
Could turn any ice into lightning
All of that was randomly generated, and even though the tongue player (May you avoid her salivating embrace) was skeptical, she had the most creative moves by the end. The subtitle "Manual of Ten Trillion Secret Techniques" seems more appropriate than ever.

Dogpound or Braddog is one of the ninja and warriors of the leaf village (Konoha) ally of the ninja turtles and part of the Hamato clan, trains very hard to perfect their techniques, previously was an ally of Destroyer and the Foot Clan but was saved by a Shinobi Shinchuriki and Mikey from suffering a fatal fate but after this Dogpound came to divide into 2 physical versions, the noble and the destructive, the destructive is currently known as Razhar, the noble is him with several differences for example the right arm matches the left and the loss of the tail, is Mikey's best friend and has the Sharigan eye but after using it his chakra runs out, can not return to human form because if exposed to retro mutagen his chakra will weaken, is very skilled with weapons but does not master the transformation jutsu well because every time he uses it returns to human form even if he does not want to, his specialty is using the Rasengan and the water, earth, lightning and fire style jutsus and will fight for the right path

Personality
Izumo is the most genius moron you’ve ever met in your life. His intelligence is completely based on his analytical skills. He uses logic and reasoning for everything when it comes to work, using numbers and graphs to display the data he finds, running his calculations by Shikaku or Ibiki first before he turns his final conclusions in to Lady Tsunade, only to find that he was correct every time. He’s also a germophobe, and he’s constantly making it a point for everyone to be careful of bacteria that spreads around easily. But when work is over, it’s all play. His maturity level is maybe a 6/10. Izumo wants to have fun!!! That’s it!!! He wants to enjoy life being silly and goofy with the love of his life!!! Sometimes his OCD gets in the way of this and Kotetsu has to give him space to decompress, but other times the two of them end up in situations only the dumbest people alive would ever see themselves in. And that’s okay!!! We’re rooting for them!!
Shinobi Skills
Water Release
Izumo is very efficient in water release and can perform techniques such as Water Clone Jutsu and Starch Syrup Trap, a jutsu he created himself, changing the density of the water itself.
Lightning Release
Izumo can perform basic lightning techniques, such as Lightning Snap, which shoots out a long bolt of electricity through the hand at a rapid speed after the hand signs are completed, and then it’s usually performed with a finger snap. He’s working on increasing his skill with lightning release.
Fire Release
Izumo can perform Fire Ball Jutsu very efficiently, but that’s about all he knows. He’s working on learning more from Kotetsu.

Izumo is a very skilled guitarist, he’s been playing the guitar since he was 12 years old, when he found an old rusty acoustic guitar in a junkyard near his home. He took it to his great grandfather who repaired the strings, and then when his great grandad passed, he taught himself how to play by ear. Nowadays he prefers to play electric.
Chef
Food is a huge part of the Kamizuki clan’s culture, mostly known for their spices. Izumo’s mom started him out in the kitchen when he was around 7 years old, making him learn how to gut fish and chickens, combine herbs to make spices, and learn the different ways to cook meat. When he failed, she’d make him eat it raw and get food poisoning. He can now make just about anything PLUS add his own Kamizuki spice flare.
Gardening
Izumo has a garden which he is struggling immensely with, but he’s trying his best okay!! He’s got all kinds of fruits and vegetables growing because he’s trying to stay away from some of those nasty preservatives, which he may have an allergy to.
Personal Life
Izumo is basically married to Kotetsu, and you can find their proposal story here. They live together, they sleep together, they shower together, they fight about things like whether that color is dark blue or purple, yeah, they’re married. They have two pet love birds together as well! Bone Crusher George and Blood Fang Kevin.
For his family, check here.
As far as disabilities go, Izumo has severe OCD, ADHD, and anxiety. His mother doesn’t believe in mental illness, even though she clearly suffers herself, so he didn’t get the treatment he needed until he became an adult. He now sees a therapist twice a month and he’s made tremendous progress coping with his disabilities.

Note
Hatake clan au (kinda?)
Kakashi’s chidori technique unconsciously mimics how his ancestors pulled out peoples hearts with clawed hands
Kakashi doesn’t want to think about how his body seems to know the position it needs to be in before his mind catches up. Doesn’t want to think about how he knows how to angle his fingers up, protected by lightning as they are, to avoid many more major damage form the ribs. Doesn’t want to think about how familiar the final death throbs of a beating heart in his hand feel before it’s destroyed by his jutsu.
