HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
Tumblr media
"I think I might know where she is.", Bucky mumbles, before he clears his throat. "What?", Matt asks and takes a step in his direction.
"I said, I might know where Y/N is."
"Look at him.", Jake lets out and crosses his arms. After a couple of inefficient standing-up attempts, he accepted that it might be the better decision to rest for a while- for at least a couple of hours.
Charles, who looks up from his computer follows his gaze: "You know, I love to agree with you. That’s like my favorite thing in the world to do." Jake nods his head and reaches over to put his hand on Charles: "I know, and I appreciate that!" He pulls away and leans back in his chair. "But I don't actually understand, why you despise him so much."
Jake sighs: "He steals my cases." "Aren't you happy, that someone else is taking care of New York as well? In ways you and I can’t?" The brown-haired detective looks over at Daredevil and swallows thickly.
Matt on the other hand is hovering above the map: "So I will go and check it out!" "Alone?!", Steve inquires, and looks up: "No, you're gonna-". But before he can finish his sentence, the devil of hell's kitchen is already gone. Sam tilts his head:" That's so weird, that's the same door Matt left through."
"Don't be stupid.", Steve declares and shakes his head, before he takes his phone out of his backpack: "Matt is blind, how would he get off the balcony? Now, get dressed we need to follow him.”
----
"Loki, quit playing games.", Y/N says, her body still tied to the chair: "Please, just tell me where I am. This is getting ridiculous-."
The man who stares out of the window, over the New York Skyline scoffs: "You know what’s truly ridiculous? I was close to giving you the world and you just rejected me!” He can feel the hot tears threaten to fall.
“No, I rejected you because you wanted to destroy this planet. And for what?! Love?!”, Y/N answers, her voice rising with each word:” Don’t tell me you wanted to do that for me, because we both know that’s not true.”
“Well-.”, Loki says before he turns around:” I wanted you, that’s all. And since I can’t have that either, no one can.” He pulls a knife out of his pocket and walks the stairs down towards her:” I just want you to know, that this is your fault. Your death is your fault!”
But before he can even reach her, a baton flies through the air and meets his hand. The knife drops to the ground and slides away. Loki’s eyes widen and he turns his head in the direction of where the weapon came from.
“Looks like someone is going to keep us some company.”

Note
Fluff where Loki and reader are so in sync that they finish each others sentences and know exactly what the other are thinking and then Thor etc. get really confused and find it weird but also think they’re perfect for each other. And loki and reader are not in a relationship yet and have a sort of tense enemies sort of relationship and they tolerate each other but still hate each other. It’s complicated and very specific, I apologise
Thank you so much for your lovely request darling!! I hope you enjoy it!! And please do tell me how you liked it if you wanna ♡
Gee this fic got way longer and took more time to realize than expected, sorry for the long wait, dear, yet I hope y´all enjoy it regardless
Btw, I did this thinkig of the reader as NB, since you didn´t specify, so just in case I did it like so, I hope you don´t mind <3
Summary: You tried to help Loki get the throne of Asgard, but when things went South, he disappeared for you to never hear of him again, and you were left to face the concequences of your actions. You were banished from Asgard and sent to Midgard. After one year in this planet and barely adapting in a little nice and cold country named Germany, suddenly, your plans go South and your life changes, yet again...
Word count: 6k (6320)
Warnings: None, but idk why but I decided to put a lot of context, making it longer, but it gets there...eventually. Also, it got a little "bit" angsty, and for this I'm sorry.
Aftermath.
  Your life in Midgard hasn´t been as bad as you thought it would be, things are still complicated for you of course, it could be worse, so far you have managed to learn from humans and you even have now your identity and a little appartment in a crowded building, and have a new little job that at least pays the bills and some of your needs. You have even found a little happiness in exploring this beautiful country, on your weekends you decide to have really long walks, even traveling to the other side of the country, exploring and learning it´s history, you couldn´t help but find such huge interest in the art the museums displayed. You of course know how all the objects in these beautiful places became in the possesion of the museums, and you hate it, but you still can´t help but to admire the pieces.
   One cloudy Saturday you woke up not so early, but still went to a place you´ve heard about thanks to a coworker, a specific street in Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart, named  Königstraße (Köningstrasse). You wanted to also visit the “countryside” of Baden-Württemberg, but that´d had to be another day, you should´ve woken up earlier for that though.
  Since you were already late, you decided to take things easy and get ready and eat calmly. Good thing was that you could go in the subway and arrive there easily.
   You arrived there pretty well but then after an hour of walking non-stop and not checking were you where going, the obvious happened and you got lost, but you couldn´t say you were scared or something of the sort. All the little streets were so beautiful, you were even thankful you got lost. You were still a bit confused on how some maps worked and such, and that there is also to be added the fact that you don´t have a good sense of direction.
Besides that, you got to dine in a very nice and affordable resturant and got to enjoy pretty much of the whole place. Once you got “unlost”, the sun was setting, and the now clear sky was getting dark, soon to be decorated with beautiful stars. You decided to walk a little bit more, enjoying it all. You just love feeling like this, the freedom of being able to just walk on your own on such a beautiful day and in a new place with such an interesting arquitecture, cold yet not freezing (not yet anyway), feeling like you don´t even have struggles nor responsabilities, that beautiful feeling when you can almost make sure nothing could go wrong nor that anything can change how you feel at the moment.
Something pulls you back to reality, a very luxurious car, and then another and another at almost different times, they were all heading one place, you rushed out of the alley you were in and looked where they were headed. Apparently it was some sort of palace maybe, it certaintly looked like one, maybe they were opening it or they were celebrating something, by the looks of it, since everything in the place looked like one of those big ostentatius public celebrations rich humans like to throw when something really important is happening in a certain date and things of the sort.
It wasn´t long after you heard screaming from inside that place. Your instinct of course told you to run away, but you knew you could be of help to those people, whatever the situation was, so you ran in the contrary direction those people were running towards, until you saw it, the source of the problem, you stood astonished, just not believing what was right in front of you.
It was him, the guy you thought was dead, the main reason you´re stuck in this planet. You couldn´t help but feel so many things like betrayal, relief, happiness, resentment. You wanted to just cry or scream, or maybe even both because of the intense emotions and the impression. He was just smiling when he made some illusions of himself and made them scatter so he could have at least a big group of people completely under his control. You weren´t in it, you were just a bit far, enough for him not to notice you, plus he was just so concentrated, enjoying what he was doing. You weren´t paying attention to what he was saying, but listening to his voice made you feel something else you couldn´t quite recognize, but it was also as intense as the other emotions plaguing your heart, you could feel it bumping against your chest like if it wanted to make it explode.
An older man stood up, by the looks of it he was contradicting the black haired God that was holding them “captive”, not long after, Loki pointed this weird golden spear towards the elder, it was obviously to harm the poor man. You were about to scream at the Asgardian when he shot some ball of energy and light to the old man, and some other guy, younger by the looks of him and dressed in this blue full body suit, with a blue mask covering half of his face, tall but not as tall as Loki, with a shield, which turned Loki´s shot against him and knocked him to the ground. The people started to scatter again, now succesfully, almost everyone panicking and screaming, which was very understandable.
The God of Mischief and the blue-suited guy started to fight, this all looks like it´s not Loki´s first problem to cause in Midgard. You walk towards them, you don´t even know why or what you´re going to do once you reach them, you just do it, you bump into a couple of people running for their lives. When you get close enough, after one actually good fight, Loki has Mr.Blue Suit on the floor, about to kill him with his spear.
—Loki! Stop it now! — you scream at him while getting close, but at a much slower speed
And he did stop, not because you told him to, but because he was also astonished, he definitely didn´t expect to see you, specially right there. He stared at you for what felt like an eternity, but in reality it was barely a second. Something else hit him and left him on the floor again, a man in an metal suit commanded him to stay put. To your surprise, he surrendered and put the spear down raised his hands so the two saviors of the day could see them. As soon as Mr.Blue Suit looked at you, you didn´t know why, but you started running, kind of aknowledging that seeing you knew him could bring you trouble. The guy immediately caught you and said told you to give yourself in or things could get worse for you, so you didn´t even put up a fight, after all, you´re innocent and you´d be out of this situation in no time.
What the hell had he doe this time? Why was he in Midgard? He really had left you to your fate back then. Your mind was plagued of these thoughts and even more questions, making you feel like if your heart was sinking.
They decided to not cuff you, you really didn´t look like a threat, but they had to take you, just in case, plus they might even get you to help them out somehow if you knew anything and if they managed to convince you.-
Once they sat you down, you stared at Loki while he was sitting down too, you still couldn´t believe what you were seeing, the memories of that day went over your head like if they´ve just happened. You also noticed a certain change in him, he looked bad, pained and even tired, you immediately figured that while he was gone, we didn´t go to a nice place or maybe he met something or someone. He could hide a lot of things from everyone, but not the people who really know him, even though it wasn´t your case, you aknowledge to yourself that the things you know about him are probably the mere surface.
He stares right back at you and gives you a mischievous and wide smile, for then to say your name, like if it was such a pleasure for him so say it
—It´s been a while. It´s so good to see you again, did you miss me?— he says, almost amused.
The want and need to answer him and question him bother you, but you decide to not even say a word to him, not until he apologizes, which you know it´s almost impossible to happen, it´s Loki, the God of Mischief we´re talking about here.
Both Mr.Blue Suit and Mr.Metal stare kind of discretely towards you both, as they analize what help you can provide them and how much you can be of use to end his whole “mission”.
—Oh come on, darling, are you really going to ignore me? Don´t be mean— he continued, that amused tone still in his voice, but now a mocking little laugh finished the sentence.
With a lot of work from you, you managed to keep ignoring him and stare at the floor, the walls, everything but him, the good thing is that it actually distracted you a bit, you couldn´t help but to think that these guys must have a lot of money to buy such a nice plane, or that they were maybe some special force in a really rich country´s military.
Meanwhile, the little group of saviours and the pilots talk but you can´t figure out what theyp´re saying, they´re talking very low, but they glance at Loki every now and then, they feel, or they know, that something is not right about all of this, and it also makes you think a little bit, you don´t remember the God of Mischief making anything easy, specially when he´s got a plan. Come on, he even disappeared completely once the plan of taking the Throne of Asgard for himself failed.
A storm was comming, the lightnings were getting closer and louder all of the sudden, it felt almost like if they were attacking the plane itself. This was definitely strange, for the sky was even clear like seconds ago.
—What´s the matter? Scared of a little lightning?— Mr.Blue Suit asked when he noticed the Argardian a bit nervous.
—I´m not overly fond of what follows— he answered. He definitely knew something was comming.
When he said that and without analyzing his change of attitude all of the sudden you suspected the same. You immediately wondered a thousand things, because for his oh so dear brother to be there, then he must´ve known where he was, at least recently, or something, you even wondered if Thor let you escape. Your thoughts were interrupted by something that hit the plane, even moving it, making everyone get starteled. The guy in the metal suit put his helmet on and opened the back door of the plane, while he was ready to get out and check what was that, Thor entered the plane and hit the Iron guy before he could do much. The God of Thunder then got Loki out of his seat by force and grabbed him by the throat to then jump out of the airplane with his brother still on his grasp.
After a small exchange of words between the two saviours, which was actually kinda funny, the iron guy went after Thor, then Mr.Blue took a parachute and went right behind him. Though, that last guy did say something that made you scoff, that there was just one God and that he didn´t dress like that. Of course you knew which God he was talking about, but what was funny to you is that even though he just saw two gods, he still said there was only one.
Another thing that caught your attention was the mention of the Tesseract, that did catch your curiosity, it must have something special, you of course knew what a tesseract is, but then it must hold in itself something really important, something maybe Loki needs
Once you were left alone with the pilots you just sighed « Well now that was something, huh...he gets to recive his punishment on Asgard for whatever stupid thing he did there...» you thought, tried to shrug off the little storm of emotions and confusing thoughts that you were having at the moment, you wanted to just let it go instead of processing it´d at least get your mind off of Loki at least, maybe you could even go back to your normal life after this, even though, you didn´t want this, no matter how much you deny it.
One of the pilots, a really beautiful woman with red head, which, judging by her eyes and stare, she was pretty tough, started to ask you a casual question about him, but you decided not to answer, plus she was quite busy, it´s not like if she could just make you answer. You did want to answer eventually, but only once you get to know more about what´s going on. Thankfully she didn´t insist on an answer, not even a reaction.
Not long after, you finally realized how tired you really were, it had all been too much, you walked for hours almost without stopping before all of this happened, even though you still worried, you decided not to care much if you fell asleep there, you were already stressed out enough, and your body really needed it, plus the night is pretty young and you might need some energies for later. So you relaxed as much as you could, the faint vibrations of the plane helped of course, and you fell asleep successfully.
You felt like if it were hours of sleep you had, it was a relief to you that you truly rested. Unfortunately, someone woke you up. It was the same woman, the one who was piloting the plane. You sighed, unbockeled the saftey belt and got up, stretching your arms and back as you stood. She gave you a mask, and you were about to ask why, but you just put it on without saying a word, she must´ve given it to you for a reason after all, and well, there´s no reason to hurt you or anything of the sort. Once you put the mask on it felt like if a breeze was comming from inside it, this confused you until she opened the plane door, you couldn´t believe it again, those were clouds outside. You could barely see because of the darkness of the night, but there was no doubt you were in the sky, in one of those aircraift carriers, but instead of being on water you were here. You really couldn´t decide what about this whole night amazed you more. The woman laughed discretely at your amazement and then asked you to follow her inside, which you did of course. As you were walking into what seemed a maze once inside the aircraft, she introduced herself, you learned that her name is Natasha, then you introduced yourself and shook hands with her. You couldn´t deny you were a bit relieved that she wasn´t mad after you didn´t answer her question before, or maybe she was just good at hiding things.
Natasha doesn't lead you much further into the aircraft, just enough and she asks you to sit in this sort of waiting room , and you decide to obey her and wait for as long as you need to. You used this time to calm your nerves a bit and breathe calmly through your anxiety before it made you act up. Not even half an hour later she came back and lead you into this place where there's a lot of people in many computers, one computer per person almost, and there also is this big table and there where the two guys who fought Loki, Thor, and a couple of more people. They introduced themselves, Nick Fury, the one who is in control of the whole thing, Dr.Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist they hired to find the tesseract, Mr.Blue Suits name is Steve Rogers but they call him Capitain America, and the guy in the metal suit is Tony Stark, some billionare also known as Iron Man. There was also Friday, the one who worked the closest to Nick Fury.
Apparently Steve and Tony already told Fury why they took you in, since he didn't ask you a thing about it.
—So...I suppose you might know why we brought you here— Nick told you and finished the sentence by saying your last name, and offering you a seat at the table, which you accepted.
That of course did surprise you and beyond that, you even checked discretely if you had your wallet and phone with you, and it was like so, which left you more confused, you had everything with you, how could they even know your name? Also, if they already knew your name, is it possible that they might have already found out that any of your identities existed just a year ago? Could that little information bring you any more problems?
—Well...maybe because I was seen barely interacting with your...um...prisoner— you replied, trying your very best to hide your worries, acting as natural as you could. This was specially hard since all the anxiety was becoming more evident, since you could feel it all over your body, almost screaming to get out in any way possible.
—Exactly...now, would you be so kind to tell us your conection with our “prisoner”— he said calmly even though his tone sounded a bit more demanding.
Thor was there, so it would be useless to lie even a little bit, you look at him and let out a sigh, he looks at you expectantly.
—I met him many years ago, and we were basically friends, one day he had this plan and I agreed to help him out, but then it all went wrong and he disappeared. I was punished, banished and sent here. But I can tell you that I haven´t seen him until now, I even thought he was a dead man— you explain quite shortly and enough just to maybe prove your innocence in this case at least. You avoid all eye contact with everyone, even though you are very curious to see their faces and try to decipher what they might be thinking. However you were able to catch Thor nodding at Fury with your peripheral view.
—And how come you were there and at the moment of his attack?— Fury spat.
You did your best to look at him at the face, so he could see better your honesty.
—That was just a coincidence, I just wanted to visit that place after I heard about it, and went for a really long walk and look around...believe me, if I´d known he´d be there, I wouldn´t even had gone in the first place— you said with a little white lie, you perfectly know that if you´d known he´d be there, you would´ve arrived really early just in case, not even caring what his purpose was in that place.
Your “interviewer” sighed heavily and kept whatever thoughts and opinions he had to himself
—Now that I'm stuck in here and all because of that guy you probably got locked up somewhere in this huge flying thing, could I please know what the hell did he do this time in order to be pursued like a criminal again?— you asked now, sounding a bit frustrated, feeling which you really weren't faking at all.
Natasha approached you and cleared her throat —Some days ago he stole a very important atrifact, and he's been committing various crime since his recent appereance on Earth— she answered
—That Tesseract thing, right?— you asked, remembering when it was mentioned earlier
—Yes...what do you know about it?— she replied, expecting you might have more answers toward what Loki could be planning to really do with it.
—Nothing, I just heard your partners mention it earlier, so I just figured it might be that. By the way, what is so special about it? Since Loki's so obsessed with it to the point he's given you all these problems...— you said as your anxiety and overwhelming nerves were leaving you and being repleaced by curiosity and intrigue
Natasha looked at Fury, and he stard back at her. —We don't know for sure, we had it so we could study it, but before Loki stole it, we barely have an idea of what it may contain— Nick answered as he slowly stared at you
You let another long sigh escape your lips. —So that´s it huh. So what now? How am I getting back home any time soon?— you ask, knowing that they might also want something from you, so you give them this easier opportunity to ask you what they want you to do and ge things done faster, after all it might be a better chance for you as well, into knowing with more detail what´s going on and why.
The team just looked at eachother and discretely stared at their apparent boss. They knew the risks of what they planned, they talked about it before they let you in and interview you, and some of them opposed to the plan, but these are desperate times and they need to do everything possible. —Well, we were hoping you coud cooperate with us and maybe have a little chat with Loki, maybe he´d say something useful to you— Nick said, so straightforward, just as necessary.
It was exactly what you had predicted, and you really wanted to do so, but you pretended to dwell on your thoughts, like if you were really thinking it through, and even slightly acted life if you were mentally preparing, so you didn´t seem so suspicious to them, even if you have no bad intentions and really want to help them out, specially for the possible outcome that could benefit you.
—I..okay, I´ll do it. Just don´t expect much— you say after a couple of moments. —Let´s just do this as quickly as possible, okay?— you add, acting tense and anxious, when in reality you were just anticipant and a bit nervous. They agreed and Natasha immediately led you to where he was at, while telling you to just have an almost normal conversation with him, and to mention about his intentions with the Tesseract and on Earth like if it was more than normal for you to talk about those subjects. You agreed to all, even though you had no idea how you were going to start a conversation with him.
You didn´t know how long it would take you both to get there, but the more you walked towards him, the more nervous you got, flashbacks of all those nice and even cute moments you spent with him attacked your mind, all those times he made you laugh and some of the light pranks he did on you, but those memories that made your heart flutter where ruined by your last memory about him, how you waited for him but never came, how he´d left you to never even let you know if he was alive or not. That bitterness suddenly filled your mind, almost taking control over you, thankfuly Natasha interrupted you accidentally —He´s in there, I´ll open the door for you but I won´t come in with you, good luck— she said with a little smirk. You thanked for leading you and all, though in your mind you also thanked her for stopping that poisonous train of thought.
As you enter he was already facing the door, like if he was expecting for someone to give him a little visit, specially you.
—Well well...look who's here. Did you miss me?— he teased with an annoying smirk on his face
—Well well...look who's here. Did your plans fail again?— You replied, immitating his smile and his cocky tone
—Funny...— Loki responds, faking and overacting as of he was hurt by your words, still teasing you. —So tell me old friend, what brings you here with me?— he asks even though he suspects the reasons of your visit
—Well...you did kinda got me into this little problem of yours, so naturally I want a chat with you, and y'know, probably even explain a couple things to me. So I hope this dead man can at least say something valuable to me...— the bitterness in your voice made your words feel like poison.
You could see a hint of surprise in his eyes, but Loki being Loki immediately masked his true emotions, and these became a mistery to you.
It seems like he even enjoys listening how your words come out and how your voice just accompanies the feeling these already have, how the resentment fills your eyes, resentment which he very well knows he provoked and caused. Thankfully yet unfortunatley this is not the first time he acts this way in these types of situations, after all it's Loki we're talking about for crying out loud, but in the end it's thanks to this that now you have at least a bit of experience to know more or less how to act and what to say to get something useful out of the concersation. It is impossible to trick the master trickster, but at least you've got to try.
It took quite a lot out of you to calm yourself and put reason and strategy before emotion. Meanwhile the mischievous God rejoices in your reactions and on how difficult it is for you to keep it together.
—So is the dead guy gonna tell me something? Or is he really dead?— you sighed while you walked even closer towards his cage
—What would you like me to say, darling? Do you want that owed explination of why, oh why wasn't I there and just left without leaving any trace nor clue if I was even alive?— he said with the hint of mock on his voice, exaggerating his tone in those last words.
«Gee...he really is the worst huh»
—Actually no, I don't care. I just want to know why did you have to come back and spoil such a pretty day, why did you have to come and cause more chaos in an already very, very chaotic world— you spilled, even though you lied a bit at the beginning, but your performance was pretty credible, even for him, which is almost a miracle.
—I see, however I do have to mention, it was not my intention to ruin your day not to trouble you again— he said with an honesty that seemed unreal —Our paths crossed by accident and coincidence. And also, might I add it was you who intervened by walking towards my scene and interacted with me by asking me to stop...— he continued, and got silent but that silence meant that he was asking you soemehow to realize that you also have to take responsability of your participation in the situation that got you here
—Oh so you're telling me that it's my fault, huh, instead of yours!— you reply outraged and in disbelief
—Oh come on, don't balme all of this fully on me, you're no victim of mine— he tries to correct you, and finishes that sentence with your name, your name lingering a bit on his tongue.
There was something about his voice and how he said your name, almost dragging it as he pronounced it, like enjoying calling it, it made you feel a shiver travel through your spine, as well as you felt your face a little bit hotter. This reaction took you by surprise but you hid this part at least and as best as you could
Clearing your throat as if it'd help you get rid of that first sensation, you continued —What is that supposed to mean?—
—Exactly what I said, darling. You have as much responsibility as I do, you ended here, back to me, because of how you acted. As well as the part of "destiny" that made us encounter— he answers, enjoying strangely of this big truth, not hiding his pleasure. He was as closest as possible to you, his body almost touching the glass that kept you phisically apart from him.
«Holy shit...he's right. Well fuck me! Why did I fucking have to intervene?! That was so goddam dumb, Lord! This cannot be!» you thought angrily, you always despised when he was right
—What is it? You finally give me reason, dear one?— he said playfully, knowing perfectly what he was doing, how he was making you feel
—There is nothing to give to you! Plus come on, it's not my "responsibility" nor fault that you're doing whatever you're doing here in Midgard! By the way, honestly, why are you even here? Didn't daddy want you back so you go and throw your tantrum here?— You attack, already fed up with him.
Oh he was definitely hurt, but his smile only got wider, as to not know how to react to such words, and this couldn't be more obvious. You immediately regretted it, losing control and letting your anger speak for you. You wanted to just escape to never see nor say a thing to him ever again, and you were about to, but you knew it wasn't the way, not the right thing to do, not to mention it would also hurt and the feeling of guilt would hunt you down forever and consume you eventually. No matter whay he did to you and how much his decisions hurt you, you couldn't bring yourself to hurt him that much as well, there was something inside you, a feeling, a really strong sentiment, keeping you from running away and leaving things just as they were. If he were anyone else, it'd be most likely for you to go away and not to let it bother you, but not him.
—Loki...I-...I am truly sorry for what I said, I just lost control, I didn't mean it— you said softly, getting only closer to him, as you got even more courage which no one knows where you got from to continue —Please forgive me— you said a bit louder and bowed slightly, to show him your honesty and regret
He was still hurt, but the surprise and astonishment he felt by your most recent action took over for the moment, specially because no matter how much he tried to convince himself that it was some sort of prank or joke, you were just so honest it was impossible to really believe otherwise. Never has someone asked for his forgiveness, specially after saying words as painful as those, and what made him confused whas the true feeling of regret in you, the only desire of yours to have his forgiveness and to help you through the pain you caused. His heart, mind, and habits were in conflict, fighting for what was he to say or do. Naturally he would've dismissed you and hurt you even worse in return, after all he had absolutely everything in his power to do so, and he was so about to spill all the venom in his heart to treat you like so, but in the end, and taking him by surprise, the result was different.
His hand touched the glass, which caught your attention and made you look at his face, even though you couldn't quite decipher his stare nor the look on his face. You straighten up and look at his large, pale hand on the glass and put yours right in the same place as his
—Did I teach you all that, dear one? That manner of speaking?— he said playfully, knowing and aknowledging that you acted so similarly to him when in those situations. His playfulness was accompanied by a smile somehow sweet and honest, a smile not even he knew he could ever give genuinely.
This was all knew to you but it relieved you. But since it was Loki you're facing now, you were still confused, and didn't trust your instincts enough to know how true he was being
—You may've been my friend, but you were also a teacher, Loki— you said, reciprocrating in his little game with more of the truth.
—Oh was I know?— he sighed with a scoff and faking pride
He really was, many of the things you know in towards navigation, and many ways of how to turn things your way, are thanks to him.
—Yeah you were, man, I'm not gonna lie, you did teach me some valuable things— you replied with a teasing smile. —Though, I can't deny I'm a bit confused now, in the many things you taught me, one of them was how not to get caught and all that implied doing so...so what the hell happened?— you add once you actually just analyze that the only thing that's avoiding your hands to touch is that glass, that cage that has him well locked up and almost in display like a fish in a tank.
He hunched his back a bit, trying to have his face at the same level as yours, but he still had to look slightly down at you. —You should already know the answer to that, darling...— he teased, whispering in such a low voice that it made you feel strange, but funny somehow.
You looked confused for a moment, and started thinking until the bulb light up. «Wait...this was on purpose! Wether he plans to do something from the inside of the ship, or he's waiting to get caught by a third party, or anything else, but this is no accident nor clumsiness of his!» Your analysis made your eyes open wider as you stared at his.
You both didn't say a word to eachother, he just winked as he got away from the glass and turned his back on you, standing on the center of the fish tank.
—And I guess you won't be telling me what's the reason of your glorious visit here on Midgard, huh— you said, like if trying to be indirect, but failing at it catastrophically.
—Well wouldn't you like to know. Sorry dear one, but I would like it more if you watched, I wouldn't want to spoil you the surprise.— Mr.Mischief explained as he turned his head slightly back, trying to catch a glimpse of you.
—Oh great, another surprise— you said in sarcastic cheerfulness.
You could hear his soft scoff, and see as he turned his head back straight, probably looking at nothing, just wanting to be dramatic as usual. Hinting the end of the conversation at least on his part.
You took it and sighed, wanting to talk to him more, but not admitting this to yourself. —Well, bye my dear friend, hope to swe you again soon...not— you joked in that last part and turned your back and headed to the door.
As it opened itself and then closed behind you, you saw Natasha there, as if she never left.
—You good?— she asked as she suggested you to walk next to her with a movement with her head, so you could go back.
—I really don't know...— you answer sincerely as you went to her side and let her lead you to the room you were once in.
You were recived with an expectant look from Fury, they were all waiting there, apparently they watched the whole conversation between you and their stunning prisoner.
—Okay now...all I can make out of this is that it's msot likely he wasn't caught on accident not was it any sort of mistake, so just watch out, just in case— you were pretty honest, though it did almost hit you, his stare made you remember the main reason you were there with him, even if it wasn't the important one for you.
As you walked away to look at the night sky through the huge "window" of the aircraft, Thor joined you.
—If it wasn't because that cage was in between you two, I could've sworn you both were about to kiss like a married couple that had been unexpectedly separated, and joined again for their love to continue until the end of times— said Thor almost jokingly, but the sincerety behind it is more than obvious, to the point it's brutal.
—Ha...ha...ha, very funny Thor. You know, after all this time, I thought you'd drop that old joke you've been keeping for as long as I've met your endearing brother, guess it's not like that, huh— you defended sarcastically. But the God of Thunder only replied with a genuine laugh
—Next time we'll give you the room to you both alone, don't worry, we won't peek, kido— Tony said, just joining himself without previous warning.
These words made you blush to the point it made your face burn., but of course you did your best not to give yourself away wuth your facial expressions nor your body language. But just the thought of him kissing you made your heart flutter and made you feel butterflies in your stomach.
«Oh come on! Don't think about such things!! After all that has happened, he ain't even really your friend anymore!! No more ridiculous fantasies!» you scolded yourself, denying yourself the permission to think about what you truly desired, and without knowing, what Loki desperately needed and wanted as well.

It was July 4th, The Fourth of July, the birthday of America, and on top of that, it was Steve Roger's birthday. He was turning one-hundred and two. It was a bright morning, the sun was high in the sky and there were hardly any clouds. It was a perfect day for fireworks later in the day.
Steve had been sitting on the couch in the main room in the Avenger Tower, eating a bagel for breakfast. Steve had gotten a good amount of 'happy birthdays' from his fellow avenger friends, which made him happy, but he didn't think his birthday was all that special.
"I mean I'm grateful to be alive, and not dead," said Steve muttered to himself, "But other than that, it doesn't really matter a whole lot." He took another bite out of his bagel, chewing slowly as he thought about what he wanted to do today.
He got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen where he saw Loki standing by the counter, drinking green tea.
"Hey, Loki," Said Steve.
"Hey, yourself," Replied Loki.
"How are you doing?" Asked Steve.
"Well enough," Said Loki, "I just finished making some more of my tea." He spoke, taking a sip of his second cup of tea, in a cup which said 'slay queen.'
"Are you going to join us for the fireworks tonight?" Asked Steve.
"Maybe," Loki smirked, "If I feel like it."
Steve nodded his head, "Alright then, I'll catch you later. Going to go for a run."
"Steve." Loki called, causing Steve to pause and turn back around.
"Yes?" Steve asked, looking at Loki, tilting his head to the side.
Loki teleported a small present into his hands, before handing it to the Captain, with a smirk. Steve smiled warmly as he took the present in his hands, it was wrapped in green wrapping paper and a red bow.
"Thank you, Loki. You didn't have to." Steve spoke, surprised that the god would get him anything.
Loki shrugged and crossed his arms, leaning against the counter as he gestured to the present, waiting for Steve to open it. Steve unwrapped the present, stopping at the cardboard lid, slowly he pulled the lid off and jumped back in surprise when a small firework shot out and up into the air, exploding in red, white, and blue.
Loki laughed at Steve's expression, "Very patriotic, no?" He spoke, doubling over in laughter.
Steve nonetheless, smiled at the god. "That was some present. Thank you, Loki."
"You're welcome," Said Loki, "Happy birthday."
"Thanks," Steve thanked, smiling at the god.
Steve put the box down on the table and turned to leave, before stopping and turning around again. "That was a prank, wasn't it?" He asked and Loki nodded.
"Really surprised you there." Loki spoke and Steve chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, well, thank you, Loki. I'll see you later." Steve spoke before he went on with his day.
Steve went to his workout room, changed into his workout clothes, and began his daily routine. After his workout, he headed out for his daily morning run.
↜↝
Throughout the rest of the day, Steve had received many other gifts from the others. Tony got Steve a new bike, which really surprised him. It was the nicest thing Tony has ever got him. Natasha bought him a very soft, light blue, plush robe. Bruce got him a brown leather journal, and some pens. Wanda and Vision got Steve a modern-day hand telescope for his bird-watching. Pietro got him a Dick's Sporting Goods gift card. Peter bought Steve a keychain with the map of Brooklyn. Thor brought Steve some Asgardian Mead, even though he couldn't get drunk, it was a great drink. Clint bought him a blue monogrammed throw blanket. Carol even stopped by and gave him a pair of cufflinks made of a special rock from another planet. Bucky, his best friend, got him a new leather jacket. And, Sam, got Steve an MP3 Player, already with all his favorite songs from his decade.
Soon enough, it was time for the fireworks. Everyone headed up to the roof of the Tower, ready to see the firework show that Bruce and Tony had set up. They all sat on the floor, under picnic blankets, and waited for the show to start.
Steve was surprised and glad to see Loki was there, chatting with Thor before going over to sit next to Steve on his blanket. Leaning back on his hands, Loki copied Steve's position, looking up into the night sky.
"Are you excited?" Steve asked, and Loki shrugged.
"I suppose. What about you, Captain?" Loki Asked him back, to which Steve shrugged.
"I guess I am. I love celebrating our wonderful nation." Steve spoke and Loki smirked, eyes rolling.
"Your wonderful nation, Steeb. What about your birthday? I thought mortals loved celebrating that." Loki spoke, and Steve laughed.
"Well, I guess I like celebrating my birthday too." Steve spoke, but Loki rolled his eyes again.
"Come on, Steve, you talk as if it's not that big of a deal." Loki spoke and Steve shrugged.
"I've technically had a lot of birthdays, Loki. I do love celebrating, but after a while... I don't know... It just doesn't feel the same after a while."
Loki nodded, understanding. "I understand. That's how I felt about mine. Thor doesn't have that problem though, you must have seen how insane he can get." Loki spoke and Steve nodded with a sigh.
After a short moment of silence, Loki nudged Steve's shoulder with his, gaining his attention. "Well, I do have another surprise for you?"
Steve turned to look up at him and tilted his head to the side. "Really?" He asked and Loki nodded, looking up into the sky.
Just then, the first firework exploded into the air, shooting up into the night sky and creating a burst of red, white, and blue sparks. Everyone 'oohed' and 'awed' as the fireworks lit up the sky.
"I knew you'd enjoy it," said Loki, smirking.
"You're right, it is pretty amazing," Steve spoke and Loki nodded.
"Alright, well, let's watch the rest of the show."
The sky burst into bright sparks of colors as more fireworks flew into the sky. One firework flying up and exploding in a bright blue before forming into the silhouette of the Captain himself. Steve and the others watched in awe as the fireworks moved as if possessed by magic. The firework Captain America moved in the dark sky, tossing his shield up and into the air, the firework shield exploding with a burst of red.
Steve watched in awe as more fireworks flew up and seemingly came to life, moving in the air before exploding into another burst of colors. This had to be the best firework show he's ever seen. Probably the best Fourth of July he's ever celebrated.
Soon, the firework show ended, leaving everyone speechless.
"Wow," Steve said, "That was amazing."
"I told you so," Loki said, grinning widely.
Steve turned to the god, his smile never leaving his face. "Did you do this?"
Loki smirked and nodded. "Yep. But, I didn't want to spoil the surprise."
"Well, thanks for the surprise," Steve said, still smiling.
"No problem," Loki replied, giving Steve a wink. "Happy birthday."

Not Your Loki (pt4)
Pairing: Loki x female reader
Summary: After what feels like a million years of jumping through timelines, you finally think you found the one with your Loki. Unfortunately the Loki you find isn't yours and has been heartbroken and defeated by another. Do you still help him?
Warning: cursing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Well if we go here and jump from this point here we’ll -” you flip through pages of the planets you’ve visited to a darker planet on the outskirts of the solar system “- it’ll bring us here, but if we skip this point -” you say pointing at another map of a planet ran by vampires “- we’ll just end up back on the Void.” You lean back in your chair and sigh “Finding the jumping off point is always the hardest, but once we get going we’ll be able to make our way through the timeline without to many issues.” You smile at Loki trying to instill some confidence in his decision to join you. He looks at you skeptically “You don’t know what you’re doing do you?” You narrow your eyes at him “Just because I don’t use the big fancy words that Tony does, doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talking about.” “That’s precisely what that means though - “ he starts. Oh shit, footsteps. You grab his arm and put up a finger to signal to him that he needs to be quiet. You both hear the footsteps round the corner and a voice say “I could have swore I heard voices when I came by earlier but I don’t see any names on the schedule for this room”. The door opens and you see two guards looking around at the room. Loki starts to speak but you shake your head for once in your life please don’t talk. He looks at you, your eyes locked on the guards, and notices the flicker of green in your eyes. “There’s no one in here G-42, you must be hearing things.” “I swear I heard a -”, “Yeah yeah yeah, you just need a break from the last mission that’s all” and the door closes again. You let out the breath you’ve been holding in. “How did you do that?” You think about how to answer. “I didn’t make us invisible if that’s what you’re wondering, I just made a barrier that blocked us from their sight. That’s the best way I can explain it anyway.” You start to gather your notes and maps, “I think we better get to my safe house, we’ll have less visitors there.” “There’s other places you can go outside of the TVA?” Loki looks at you puzzled. “Oh no, it’s a pocket dimension I found. Is there anything you need to get before we leave?” He pauses, and thinks about Mobius for a moment “Can I say goodbye to Mobius? I know he doesn’t remember me I just ... need to say bye.” You look into his eyes and see that he’s being genuine “Are you sure you want to do this? If it helps you should know that he’s not technically ‘your Mobius’ he’s another variant”. He looks down at the table, thinking for a moment. “I promise I’m not trying to deter you, I’m just trying to be realistic with you. If you truly want to do this I’m sure he’s in his office down the hall.” He nods “I’ll be quick”.
The two of you try to act as casual as possible as you walk down the hall, avoiding eye contact with anyone you pass. Being here over a thousand times you know exactly where Mobius is at this time of day. You stop a few feet from the open doorway and whisper “He doesn’t know you but I can’t say whether or not he’ll recognize me, so I’ll just wait here and keep watch”. Loki nods, stands up straight, and tries to brush is hands through his hair a bit. You shake your head at him, smiling. “Oh shut up” he whispers at you and hurries off. You see him materialize a stack of folders, and go into the office.
*Knock, knock* Mobius looks up from his afternoon snack to see a tall, dark headed man in the doorway. “Oh hey there, what can I do for ya?” he asks happily. Loki quickly says “Sorry to bother you, I just got lost. I thought this was the way to the cafeteria” “Ha nope sorry, it’s down the hall, take a right, another right, then a left and you can’t miss the sign.” Mobius says smiling still. “Um thank you ... bye then” Loki stammers and walks back out.
As Loki walks into the office, you start looking around for any other offices for a spare tempad. I’ll need one for Loki, and mine is almost dead anyway. You look across the hall into an open office. You poke your head in the office and see a box of tempads. JACKPOT. You take four for good measure but then you see the nameplate on the desk. Renslayer. Well fuck me I guess. You turn around and are eye to eye with the judge. She glares at you. You smile back “Hello Ramona”. “Who are you and why are you in my office?” she says still glaring. “Just picking up some extra tempads for my next mission” you says as you start backing out of the doorway. “Wait -” you hear her say and you close the door. You snap your fingers and lock the door. Ohshitohshitohsitohshit you think as you walk quickly down the hall back just as Loki is coming out of Mobius’s office. “I fucked up we need to go” you say grinning in panic. “I was gone for three minutes -” Loki says as you’re quickly putting in the coordinates of your safe house. The familiar orange portal opens and you pull him through before he can finish.
You both land in a open field surrounded by tall trees and other various fauna. You look around huh I’m pretty close this time, I guess I am getting better at this. Loki sits up and says “Why did we fall and not just walk out like all the other portals I’ve been though?” You laugh “Um ... would you believe me if I said I didn’t think we’d fall out?” He starts to say something else but you interrupt by pointing over his shoulder at your cabin across the field. “Welcome to my home!”
Tumblr media
He turns to see a small cabin made out of dark wood, with bright purple shutters (“I like to be different” you explain), a large herb garden that has grown out of hand (”I’ve been busy, geez.”), and a porch with a porch swing overlooking the rest of the field. You hold out your hand to help him up and he takes it. As his hand grasps yours you feel a spark of the seidr well that’s new but don’t say anything.  As the two of you make your way to the cabin, Loki asks "Do you even having running water here?" You turn to look at him and wave your hands at him creating green sparks between your fingers. "Anything is possible with magic my darling".
You unlock your door and snap your fingers to light the fireplace and turn on a lamp. Loki looks around at the cozy room. Your patchwork couch of all colors and patterns sits before the small fireplace catches his eye, the far side of the room has a large painting of the field outside that you painted during the time you first found this place, the coffee table has an open book of poetry with a pressed flower from your garden in it, and he smiles at the large green bookshelf you'd made for your ever growing book collection. "As far as I'm concerned, my home is your home. The guest room is down the hall to the right and bathroom is the room across from it. I don't know if you have back problems like my Loki, but there's large bath in there that you're welcome to use." You wave your hand and a small jar of purple bath salts appear. "Here, put this in the bath water as the tub is filling up. It'll help the pain." He looks at you, unsure how to respond to the kindness "Um, thank you". "I'll be in the kitchen if you need me" you say as you walk away. Loki makes his way to the bathroom and notices your gallery wall of pictures and weapons you've collected. In the first picture he sees you with Tony and Bruce in the lab on your first day working with them, the next picture shows you and Bucky arm wrestling with the team gathered around cheering you on, the next picture shows you and Nat dressed up for one of Tony's many parties, "So y/n does know how to dress" he says to himself. He continues looking over the pictures. He sees one with you and Thor, both of you are smiling but the grief on your faces is clear that this was taken some time after Loki's death. "He did mourn you, you know. He loves you in his own way." he hears you say from the kitchen. "Can you stop doing that? It's like you know what I'm thinking" he says. He hears you laugh "Can't, I'm your wife."
The next set of pictures showed you holding Morgan at her second birthday as she hugs you tight, you with Clint as he shows you how to use a bow in the training area, and one big group picture of the whole team. You stand in the front with Clint, Nat, and Tony while the rest of the team stands behind the four of you, all smiles. The last picture he sees is one that someone had taken of Thor and the rest of the Asgardians in new Asgard, but in the far back he can see you on the hill next to marker.
Tumblr media
That's all for part 4! This was going to be a bit longer but it's almost 1 here so I need to get to bed so I can be a functional adult tomorrow.

Triple Threat, Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Tony sent one of his drone suits up into space to check out the location of the reality stone.
The entire team was confused as to where it was, there was no planet there. If Jane truly had it, she wasn’t exactly going to be just flying around space. So they were starting to wonder if she even had it at all.
But when the drone got there, Tony called the team through to the lab to check out the footage he received from it.
Exactly where the map of the necklace said the stone should be, was a humungous spaceship.
Loki and Loki both knew exactly who’s ship that was. ‘Thanos.’ They both said at the same time, looking at one another worriedly.
‘Thanos? So, he has the stone from the wrong reality?’ Darcy asked.
‘Or he has Jane.’ Loki hummed.
‘What?’ Thor stepped forward, worried and angry. Of course he still cared about Jane and still had feelings towards her, the thought she was in the hands of Thanos was terrifying.
‘We don’t know for sure… But, possibly.’ Loki said as he ran a hand down his face. ‘We need to try and lure him down here, I need to get that stone back before he finds anymore.’
‘Is that wise? We can’t have Thanos on Earth, he’s already tried to destroy it once.’ Steve said as he folded his arms over his chest.
‘His goal isn’t to wipe out the entire human race. He wants to wipe out half of the entire Universe. To take out you lot too, but he will no doubt send his goons first. Like he sent Loki here at first with the Chitauri. If he has allies he can rely on, or allies he has tortured to do some dirty work for him, he will try that first. It was Loki who wanted to rule Earth, not Thanos. That’s not his endgame.’ Loki explained calmly.
The team looked at their Loki. He shrugged and looked a bit sheepish. ‘He’s right. I don’t know what Thanos had planned for afterwards, but he was going to let me have Earth.’
‘So if we lure him here, then what?’ Clint asked.
‘I doubt he will come here himself. He will send someone… If he has Jane, I suspect he will send her. She will be the enemy to try and take down Earth’s mightiest heroes.’ Loki said.
‘How can you be sure?’ Natasha asked.
‘I’ve been through similar already. I know what Thanos is aiming for. Granted, we are in different realities and sometimes they can be incredibly different. But the base line is usually similar. With different realities breaking off just a fraction from the real timeline, the smallest of change can cause the biggest of differences down the line.’
‘Like the one in sixty rule?’ Darcy asked.
‘Exactly.’ Loki nodded.
‘What’s that?’ Thor frowned.
So Darcy explained. ‘When flying a plane, for every one degree off course it will completely miss the destination point by a mile for every sixty miles travelled. So the further it goes on that course, the further away from its destination it goes, too. So while realities might all start the same, if something changes in one reality very slightly, it will start to veer off course completely. Like a chain reaction. Getting further and further apart from the original reality… Which I guess is why there are so many.’ Darcy shrugged.
‘Got it in one.’ Loki hummed.
‘I don’t really get it myself, but it kind of makes sense at the same time.’ Darcy said.
‘I can see why you got a Doctorate.’ Loki smirked before turning on his heels and heading out of the lab.
‘Wait, what?’ Darcy spun around to face him.
‘In my reality, I believe that after events with the Dark Elves, you went back to school and graduated with a doctorate in Astrophysics. And I’m beginning to understand how that happened now.’ He grinned and continued on out of the lab.
Darcy looked around the team smugly and she elbowed Loki. ‘You can all just call me Doctor Lewis from now on.’
Loki scoffed and ruffled her hair. ‘Wrong reality, love.’
‘Hey!’ She glared up at him and tried to smooth her hair back down.
While Tony sent another drone up to try and get Thanos’ attention, to try drawing him down to Earth so they could attack on their land, Loki and Darcy headed to the living room.
‘Do you not think I could get a Doctorate?’ Darcy asked Loki.
Loki frowned and put his arm around her. ‘Of course I do, darling. I was only teasing. You know I believe you can do whatever you put your mind to.’
‘Thanks, Loks.’ She smiled up at him.
‘Hey, if you can deal with having two Loki’s around, you can do anything.’ Natasha said in jest as she passed by them both to head to the kitchen, making Darcy laugh and Loki frown.
Tony told the team an hour later that he had sent another drone up, but before he’d been able to lure the ship down to Earth, it was blasted to smithereens in space.
‘I guess it will have gotten his attention though.’ Clint said as he shuffled playing cards, he was having a game with Bruce.
‘Now we just need to wait and be ready for when he gets here.’ Tony huffed.
To pass time, the team all had a few drinks in the evening with some food on the go. Not a party, but not a normal evening either, really. Though they all made sure to just stick to a couple of drinks, as they had no idea when, or if, Thanos was going to attack.
Loki noticed that Loki had disappeared, so he took that opportunity to change his clothes to the same that Loki was wearing tonight. Leather trousers and a dark green shirt. He then went over to Darcy while she was putting some nibbles on a plate.
‘Get some for me too, love.’ He whispered in her ear as he slipped his arm around her waist.
‘Get your own, Loki.’ She said as she stabbed the back of his hand that was around her waist with a cocktail stick.
‘Ow.’ He whined and pouted as he moved away from her. ‘How did you know?’
‘I told you before, I can tell the subtle differences now.’ She said as she continued piling more food onto her plate. ‘One being you smell different.’
‘A word.’ The real Loki growled as he had seen what happened, but he was impressed that Darcy DID really know it wasn’t him and had managed to get him to back off. But he grabbed Loki by the collar and dragged him out of the room.
‘Oh dear. I don’t know whether to feel sorry for Loki or not… Or which one to feel sorry for, for that matter.’ Clint said.
‘They’re both as bad as one another really.’ Darcy groaned.
Loki shoved Loki against the wall and snarled at him, a hand around his neck.
‘I don’t care that you’re me. Or that we are one and the same. Darcy is MINE and you need to back off from her!’
Loki just laughed. ‘Oh really? But I thought you two weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend. So that means she’s fair game to be courted, since you two aren’t an official item.’ He said slyly.
Loki pulled him forward and then slammed him back again. ‘I mean it, Darcy is off limits. She is mine and I am hers. NO ONE, is going to come between us.’
Loki put his hands up in defence and shrugged slightly. ‘Alright, alright. If you say so. But it seems to me you are afraid of commitment. Afraid of rejection and heartbreak. Of losing the one who loves and understands you the most.’
Loki narrowed his eyes at him and snarled angrily as he let him go and turned away.
‘Remember, I am you. You are me. We had the same start in life, I know the feeling of rejection and betrayal. But Darcy doesn’t seem like the type that will hurt you. I’d keep a tight hold of her, and if I were you’ he chuckled at the pun. ‘I’d be making it clear to everyone that she is taken.’
‘We are happy as we are.’ Loki said firmly.
‘Are you really, though? You’re paranoid, jealous. I know that you would be much more content, settled and balanced, if she had a ring of yours on her finger.’
With that, Loki headed back to join the others.
Loki punched the wall in anger, his fist going right through it with ease.
He wasn’t sure whether he was angry at himself or the other Loki. Because he was right. While Loki loved what they had together, he didn’t want to ruin it... But at the same time, he hated the thought of not being a proper couple. Even if dating and romance wasn’t exactly their style… Could he still ask her to marry him?

Lost traveler
1/?
Loki x female!reader
Word count: 1590
Tag list: @gaitwae @lucywrites02 @hard-to-be-the-bard @birdgirl90 @laramoonworld
Summary: A mysterious traveler visits Asgard and thanks to an accident has to stay for longer than she expected. Bonds are created but also shattered along the way.
A/N: reader has elemental powers, something like avatar the last airbender.
Tumblr media
Being a traveler had its pros and cons. Pros: you learn a lot about different realms and make a lot of friends along the way. Cons: you don't have a home, all the friends you make you either never see again or they don't remember you when you visit their planet, and you are alone. 100% of your time. None of the people or creatures you meet want to travel with you. You don't make a big deal out of it, you never did. You liked your privacy and alone time. Even if it hurts you sometimes.
You had your amulet though. A black stone in golden bracelet. Thanks to it you can create portals to travel. Sometimes it felt like the bracelet was pulsing with its own life. It was like a dear companion to you. You haven't taken it off in years, it became part of you. Sometimes it warmed your skin when you went to open a portal. That's how it was usually telling you where the best worlds to visit are. You were always excited when you felt the warmth under your bracelet. It meant it wanted to show you a beautiful part of galaxy you haven't been to yet.
Like now. You were making your way through foggy swamp, looking for a rare plant to study. As you jumped over fallen tree you felt your amulet warming your forearm.
"In a minute buddy, I really need this flower," you said a little too fast. You really needed that plant, but exploring a new world after weeks spent here was just too tempting.
However the stone was stubborn. The warmth escalated into burning. "Argh! Alright, I get it! I'm going, see?" your hand started to draw circles and symbols on the ground in front of you. Your other hand pulled the darkness from your stone, making it light yellow temporarily. The darkness with blue highlits seeped into the ground and teared the air before you, creating a small crevice.
Like an opened window it showed forrest. Nothing too unusual. Some oak trees, grass, wild flower here and there. 'What are you up to my friend?' you thought to yourself as you walked through the crevice. It immediately closed after ypu passed, leaving you alone in a new world.
First rule when you come into new place: find water. Fairly easy. Sound of water was near, a creek maybe? After you filled your bottle you started walking north, looking for any hills or mountains to climb onto and get better view of this realm.
Suddenly a storm like sound broke through the peaceful silence. You looked towards the sky to find clear blue. No dark grey clouds. So why was it roaring as if a thunder was starting? And there was the sound again, from the same spot as before.
You pulled your black leather hood over your head and slowly started to approach the thundering place.
"Thor! Can you stop doing that for at least 5 minutes?!" a voice came from your right.
"And why should I?" came a strong voice from in front of you.
"Because I'm trying to think, which is thanks to you nearly impossible!"
"Unlike you, dear brother, I have mighty powers that need to be controlled. How better than testing how far I can go?"
"That doesn't even make sense."
So brothers. And one of them is lightning thrower. Maybe the one named Thor.
"I don't have enough nerves for this," the Not Thor started to walk further right, away from lightning thrower.
It seemed wiser to aproach the calmer one. You already had the honor to meet a lightning thrower before, never again. Even though this other man could be even more dangerous than his brother. Decisions decisions. One could get you killed, the other even worse.
Eventually your legs started to take you to your right, after the calm one.
The man sat himself on a rock in front of a clear lake. He had black hairygreen and black clothes which looked to be made of leather with golden plates on forearms. He had his back turned to you, approaching him from behind would be stupid. You slowly walked around him, keeping yourself in trees' shadow.
You purposfully stepped on a dry branch to attract his attention. And fair enough, his head shot to you, dagger in hand, danger in eyes. You held your hands up to show you weren't armed and stepped into the light. "Hello," you greeted.
"Who are you?" he asked rather harshly. You're used to people being affraid of you, the cloak made you look scary, especially with a hood on.
"I'm a traveler," you answered simply.
He eyed you suspiciously, hand holding a dagger was slowly lowering. "And what's your name little traveler?"
Just as you wanted to answer a jolt of pain striked you into your shoulder, electricity engulfed you and the last thing you saw was the mysterious man in green and black leather rushing to catch your falling body.
~~~
Mornings in Asgard are usually quiet and calm. This one however was far from it. Loki's older brother Thor finally got into age when he can produce and control lightnings. Well, he tries to. That's what woke young sorcerer. Thor breaking a pillar near his window on accident.
"Love, would you be so kind and take your brother far from anything he can destroy? You're skilled with your gifts, I'm more than sure you will teach him how to control his own," the queen of Asgard asked the still half asleep trickster at breakfast table to which he nodded without even thinking.
And that's how he got stuck with him for the whole day. Alone. They already walked through forrest near Glittertind mountain and currently were trying to find the perfect place for Thor to train.
They were getting deeper into The Great Oak Woods when Thor thought it would be great fun to destroy a tree or two.
Loki was looking at map of Asgard in his head, trying to look for the nearest quarry. The mental gymnastics he had to do to concentrate in such noise was olympic worthy.
"Thor!" his brother turned to him. "Can you stop doing that for at least 5 minutes?!"
Thor's fingers begin to sparkle, teasing Loki. "And why should I?"
Loki pinged the bridge of his nose. "Because I'm trying to think, which is thanks to you nearly impossible!"
"Unlike you, dear brother, I have mighty powers that need to be controlled. How better than testing how far I can go?" he smirked confidently, sparks were now flying uncontrollably from his hands.
"That doesn't even make sense," Loki shook his head and begun walking away from him. "I don't have enough nerves for this."
He found himself a nice rock near his favourite lake. Birds around were chirping in their nests, sparkly fish with colourful fins were chasing each other in the crystal clear lake. Loki could finally relax.
Until he heard a wooden crack coming from his side.
On an instinct he drew daggers and turned towards a danger. Which turned out to be a girl. Bout in Loki's age. Knee high black boots covered by drying mud, dark green trousers and brown leather jacket hidden under black cloak which covered her hair as well. Sparkly curious eyes bore into his as she held up her hands in surrender.
He was more than sure he has never seen her before. She's a stranger.
"Hello," her melodic voice greeted.
"Who are you?" that wasn't probably the nicest thing to say to a newbie but Loki was trained to never trust a stranger.
"I'm a traveler," he expected a name, this answer sparked curiosity inside of him. She sparked a curiosity inside of him.
"And what's your name little traveler?" he started to lower his daggers, she didn't seem like a threat.
She opened her mouth but her face got twisted by pain as lightning struck her side. He quickly rushed, catching her before her head could collide with a rock.
"There, who needs training? One clear shot at first try!" a familiar booming voice came from Loki's left.
"You oaf, you nearly killed her!" Loki yelled at him.
"Her? I simply struck a moose."
Loki gathered her body into his arms and showed her face to his brother. "Does this look like a moose?"
Thor looked down at her, visibly paling. His hand started scratching the back of his head nervously. "Damn. Who is she? Did you know her?"
Loki shook his head and started to walk towards palace. "She said she's a traveler. Look at her clothes. No one on Asgard wears such fashion. Not to say a girl from Asgard would ever wear this," he gestured to her cloak which looked like a snake skin rather than an ordinary leather.
"Where are you taking her?" Thor trailed behind him.
"To fields, she'll make an excelent scarecrow," sarcasm was dripping from every word he said.
The older prince chuckled. "You and your jokes... What will we do with her when healers take care of her?"
"We? I'm not going to do anything with her, but YOU are going to apologize."
None of the princes noticed the white cracks looking like lightning bolts on the traveler's amulet.
Since Thor Ragnarok is trending on Twitter I need to talk about how I will never forgive the MCU from taking away the Statesman from us in IW because that had good content potential. Hear me out.
ROAD 👏 TRIP 👏 ARC! 👏
I want the Revengers going on a long trip to Midgard and we see everything that happened from point A to point B.
I want them to be fighting over who’s in charge of music (it’s Valkyrie. She’s piloting the whole ship and it’s her stereo so she will stab anyone who comes near her playlist).
I want Loki navigating and spinning the map around in various directions until Valkyrie yells for directions while they pass multiple exits on the space way and instead of pulling over, Loki panics and screams out a direction and Valkyrie has to swerve through oncoming traffic and make a sharp left turn causing a 20 ship pileup and broken sign. But it gets worse because Loki’s bad navigation takes them someplace completely off and they have to circle a planet before they reroute.
I want Thor making multiple pit stops to look at stupid tourist stuff and take pictures of everything because now that Asgard is gone, they need to document everything and essentially start a new history book. I also want him stuffing the ship with too many souvenirs so there’s a point where everyone (including the Asgardians) have an intervention and tell Thor he needs to slow down.
I want the Revengers just arguing over something stupid while the Asgardians watch them in the background and realize how easy it was for Ragnarok to happen when a whole realm depended on two fresh out of college kids who can’t even operate a gas pump.
I want the ship picking up a hitchhiker that ends up being a creepy ghost lady that haunts their ship and everyone’s terrified to go to bed alone so at one point everyone huddles together on the main deck with blankets like the worlds weirdest slumber party.
I want the ship to pull over so somebody can get out and throw up. (It’s Bruce because he returned back in his human form and panicked)
I want the ship to break down so they pull over but uh-oh! They have no money to repair it so someone has to enter a karaoke contest and they don’t win but someone recognizes Valkyrie and suggest she try an amateur race so they use the leisure vessle and Valkyrie gets first place and wins more money than she thought they would.
It’s such a good plot device and why stuff everyone on a ship if you were gonna write them all off?!?! 😭
Thor
Thor had caught him again. He wasn’t disappointed or irritated by any means, merely intrigued. He had rarely seen the Asgardian as anything but the stoic and diligent sentinel of the realm. Yet he could tell when the watchman was not at his duty. When it was not the bi-frost he watched but some other mystery. Thor only wondered what it was that so entranced the vigilant Asgardian.
The warden stood with his sword gripped between his hands, his head lowered as his eyes glowed. He was silent and still but for the subtle movement of his lips; as if he were speaking to someone. He was entirely enamoured by whatever vision swirled within.
“Heimdall,” The prince boomed and the horned-helmet slowly rose as the protector greeted him with his golden eyes. “Rapt at work, I see.”
“Unlike you,” Heimdall let forth the hint of a grin. Unshakeable as ever. “You see to use the bridge?”
“Not today,” Thor said. “Merely to visit a friend.”
“And your visits do grow frequent,” He countered. “I think your father might be wary of his realm going unwatched on account of his son’s whims.”
“You have ears. Strong ones, I’ve heard,” Thor strode along the window that overlooked the bi-frost. “Not even I could keep you from your duty.”
“Oh but you do challenge my competence.” Heimdall chuckled. “It is quiet this night. Asgard is but another star in the sky it seems.”
“Surely the brightest,” Thor stared down at the glowing bridge and hid his smirk from the other Asgardian.
Heimdall was ever clever and a skilled liar, only because he was known to be an honest man. For all his years alongside his brother, Thor could read a fib. Even one as subtle and inconsequential as that which floated unacknowledged between the immortals. Perhaps the watchman didn’t know he had been caught or perhaps he was content enough to let the prince wonder.
It didn’t matter for Thor would discover what distracted the watcher. What immaculate attraction had drawn his eye from his service after centuries of chaste devotion. The prince hadn’t an idea of how he would uncover the secret to light but he knew one who would. The very person who had honed him to the knack of dishonesty.
Loki had his bag of tricks and surely one of them could affect the unaffected sentinel.
⚔️
Loki
Loki twiddled his long fingers as Thor paced behind the curved chaise before the hearth. It wasn’t often the golden prince visited his brother within his own chambers. He had learned long ago that it was there he was most vulnerable to the trickster’s wiles. The younger prince grinned as he realised whatever had his brother so anxious also had him desperate. It must have been delicious indeed.
Loki draped one leg over the other as he reclined in the velvet chair. He wore a black robe over little more than his linen shorts. He had been readying for bed when the knock came. His brother was only fortunate he had been alone otherwise his raps would have gone unheard. Well, Thor did seem to be in his cups so he might have made himself known even then.
Metal clattered to the ground as Thor knocked one of the ornaments from the mantel and Loki sighed. It was easily repairable but if his brother opted to make a full tour of the chamber, he might be left with not but mangled silver and gold.
“Brother, do sit before you fall on your ass,” Loki slithered. “I should like to attend to whatever menial concern has brought you to my rooms so late. I was only about to retire.”
“Oh ho, but I think you might not be able to sleep once I’ve told you what---” Thor paused and let out a belch into his fist as he stumbled his way to the chaise. “Once you know what has brought me here.”
“And in such a state,” Loki taunted.
“Well, that had really nothing to do with it and more to do with the Asgardian ale I was forced to drink unto myself.” Thor laughed. “Heimdall, ever abstinent from pleasure, did move my hand to drain a whole cask.”
“I am certain you could not have put the cork back in and done so another day,” Loki huffed. “Truly brother, it is late and I have as little patience as I do interest in your indulgences.”
“My indulgences?” Thor wondered. “What about Heimdall’s?”
Loki perked up suddenly and straightened in his chair. “What do you mean by that, brother?”
“Well, I am not entirely certain what I mean but I know there is something that has caught his all-seeing eye,” Thor belched again and waved away the cloud. “Which is what brings me here.”
“You want me to trick Heimdall,” Loki blinked. “You are truly mad. He was likely off on some far planet watching the leaves blow.”
“Some mighty fine leaves they must have been,” Thor intoned. “I’ve found him twice as such. He does not look upon a blade of grass or the wing of a bird. Brother, that look is one reserved for a more rapturous beauty.”
Loki’s brows shot up and he tapped his fingers on the arm of the chair. He considered the thought of the great watcher’s desire. He could not imagine the valiant protector coveting anything more than what he had. And Thor was drunk. Still he was intrigued.
“And I suppose you want me to figure out what it is that has baited him so fervently?” Loki asked.
“Yes!” Thor clapped. “Yes. That’s exactly what you need to do.”
“Besides the obvious question of how I would do that,” Loki said, “Why would I?”
“Because, brother,” Thor smirked, “You are just as bored with this tedium as I am.”
⚔️
Loki had figured it out. It had taken some time but he had found a way to follow the watchman’s eyes. The only issue at hand was keeping him distracted long enough that he could do so. Surely Thor could help with that.
What Thor couldn’t do was wrap his head around what Loki was about to do. All the better as the dunce was of better use ignorant.
Heimdall had a natural gift for seeing but Loki had discovered that upon his duties, his ability was amplified to make him truly all-seeing. The bi-frost was not merely the only path into Asgard, it was the only path into that Asgardian’s mind.
There was a single strand upon the bridge among the hues of pinks, purples, blues, and blinding yellows that would betray him. A strand which would hold the secret he held so dear. Loki could draw a map from that strand and retrace every single thing Heimdall had ever seen. From that, he could surely uncover the watcher’s favoured fixation.
They only needed to make their little ruse believable. To draw the eye of Heimdall was hard enough, to keep it looking where you wanted was more so. And Loki was to trust in the daftest man he knew to pull it off.
⚔️
Loki was mostly sure this wasn’t going to work. Not if Thor kept thumping around so carelessly above. Not only was the trickster focusing on finding this elusive thread among millions, he was fighting to hold the illusion of himself that danced overhead with his brother.
The fight had drawn in the watcher quite easily as they had caught him by surprise. Loki suspected they had distracted him from the very secret they sought to oust. The only issue was that Thor was making this all too believable and Loki was close to being knocked away from the underside of the bi-frost. If that happened, he wasn’t fond of finding out where he would end up.
Finally, with his hand buried in the tendrils of light, Loki had grasped the single thread. That one, miniscule golden thread which varied only by the glimmer from the yellow ones. It burned his palm and he struggled not to scream. He clasped the metal ring around it and struggled to keep it on as the power surged into his arm.
He tore it away as he hissed and his hand shook as he clutched the tiny ring. Relief washed over him even as his entire being buzzed from the deluge of energy. He might just fall into the void anyway. He was dizzy and his eyes wouldn’t stay still.
Slowly he crawled up the underside of the bridge and pushed himself off. He barely caught himself at the bottom of the watchtower. Once he was clear of view, he sent up the signal and fell against a golden-leafed oak tree as he struggled to keep his illusion in place. He’d let Thor end it, hopefully before he passed out.
⚔️
Much to Loki’s shame, Thor had to as good as carry him back to his chamber. He shoved himself away from his brother as they entered and he stumbled over to the crystal orb that sat central before his hearth. He fumbled with the metal ring that vibrated inside his pocket and clinked it atop the glass. He fell back and caught himself on the chair. Slowly his strength began to return to him.
The crystal ball projected the energy of the ring across the chamber, a map of the universe all around them. Loki caught his breath and shakily stood as he shook off the haze. Thor’s forehead wrinkled as he looked around at the galaxies and the constellations.
Loki dragged his finger along the crystal ball as the stars moved and different parts glowed brighter. He pinched his fingertips together along the glass and a particular spark came into focus. He pulled back and neared the speck. He squinted, then chuckled.
“Midgard,” He purred under his breath. “Curious,” He turned back to Thor and smirked. “It does amuse me how those beings seem to have such a hold upon our kind.”
“Midgard!” Thor lit up as bright as the stars.
“No,” Loki pointed a finger at him. “Not her. We’re there for Heimdall.” He neared the crystal again. “Let us just figure out exactly where he’s been spending so much time.”
⚔️
She was no extraordinary being. In fact, he found her quite plain. Loki shook his head as he watched her. Thor had stayed upon Asgard to further divert the watcher. As long as the prince was around, he wouldn’t think to look in on his little toy.
It was late and she seemed to be the only in her building who was still awake. The drone of music filled her small apartment as she bent over a low table. Her fingers were dark with the charcoal she used to sketch upon the paper.
She was clueless. She didn’t hear a step or see a shadow. He stood right behind her as her charcoal dusted across the thick sheet.
She sat up and yawned and grabbed the cloth beside the sketchbook. She wiped her fingertips and reached for her phone. She checked the time and swore to herself. She piled the charcoal into a small box and pushed aside the half-finished drawing. He was on her before she could stand.
She was easy enough to subdue. She didn’t put up much of a fight before his magic took effect. These mortals always were so weak. Perhaps that was part of it. As he wrapped her in a sheet and tossed her over his shoulder, he could imagine the thoughts that kept Heimdall enraptured. The fantasies that dirtied his pious mind. Oh, how naughty.
Loki stepped out into the glare of streetlights and looked up into the night sky. He smirked and snickered. Heimdall would be surprised at his call to enter the bi-frost, having not even noticed his departure. Oh, but he would be so much more surprised at the creature slung over Loki’s shoulder.
Reader
You awoke to voices. An argument. You grumbled and gripped your spinning head as you laid across the hard stone. Your eyes shot open and you sat up with a whimper. You felt as if you would fall back down as your vision sparkled.
Where the fuck were you?
You looked around the golden chamber and struggled to keep yourself up on your shaky arm. Three figures stood feet from you as they continued to argue. Your chest felt heavy as your nerves swelled there. You were about to panic, astounded that you were not already.
“What are you two doing?” The man in shining armour spat. “How did you even--”
“So you admit, you want her,” A slender man with dark-hair interjected. “So, what’s the issue?”
“You took her from her home.” The first hissed.
“Where you’ve been watching her,” The second countered and the third man, a towering blond nodded. “And we know you were not doing so for not.”
“Where my eyes see is of none of your concern, Loki,” The man snarled.
“You would spurn our gift?” The man called Loki replied. The name and the face were strangely familiar. “You’ve earned it. You work so hard.”
“You should take her back before she wakes.” The first man insisted.
“Too late for that,” Loki slowly glanced over at you. “Besides, you are an Asgardian, you know our ways. We prize those who serve us often with flesh. Many warriors partake in the tradition.”
“You weren’t supposed to--” The first man took a breath and dared to peek over at you. “I was waiting…” He lowered his voice. “The two of you have spoiled it all.”
“We have done what you were too cowardly to do yourself,” Loki insisted. “So, here she is, she’s yours.” He shrugged. “To do with as you will. Though I can only imagine what plans you’ve been devising behind those eyes.”
The man in the gold armor gulped and looked at you again. His eyes were just as bright as his garb and you were startled by them. You drew your knees to your chest and hugged them.
“What’s going on?” You asked.
“Oh, sweet girl,” The slender man neared you and knelt before you. “You’ve been chosen by the gods to serve them personally. Specifically the one we call Heimdall.” He nodded over his shoulder. “The one with the horns but be assured, they do come off and he would have another which I think you’d much prefer.”
“Loki,” The blond growled as he came close and wrenched him up to his feet. “Do not frighten her… that is not your pleasure.”
Loki scoffed and wriggled free of the other’s grasp. “Of course,” He sneered. “Heimdall, she is all yours. Let that Asgardian blood flow freely…” He neared the armoured man again and flicked his mailed shoulder. “I’m sure you do tire of just watching.”
With a final grin in your direction, Loki followed the blond from the round chamber and left you alone with this man known as Heimdall. He sighed and watched them go. When he turned to you, his eyes glowed and he snapped them shut. He tilted his head as he turned his back to you and lifted the large helmet off. He set it down as he rolled his shoulders.
“They should not have brought you here,” He shook his head. “I am sorry that they did.”
His fingers tapped on the stone table beside the helmet.
“Please, tell me what’s happening.” You begged. “I don’t understand.”
He took another deep breath, shaky and uneven. He pressed his hand flat to the table and growled.
“As the watcher of this land, I have abstained from my desires for thousands of years. It has not been easy but it is what I had to do.” He began and you trembled at the timbre of his deep voice. You pushed yourself up to your feet and crossed your arms protectively over your chest. “But I am of Asgardian blood and we have hunger in our veins. Restraint is not bred within us and it is hard to muster.”
He turned slowly and unbuckled the sleeves of his armour. They fell slack and he slipped them off. He laid them down beside his helmet. He did the same to his breastplate and worked at shedding his armour one piece at a time. His golden eyes clung to you as you swayed nervously.
“”I admit, I have been watching you, and just that minor diversion was a betrayal of my duty. Yet, I could not stop. My eye always fell back to the little Midgardian in her little nest. All alone.”
He set the last piece of mail aside and stood in a pale tunic, matching beeches, and a pair of leather boots. He seemed both hesitant and impatient to near you. He hesitated and paced across the chamber before you.
“If I kept you far away, I’d only watch. I wouldn’t… I couldn’t succumb to my instincts.” He continued. “But they… they conspired against me and now… now…” His fingers curled into fists and he stormed towards you. You retreated until you were against the wall. “Now… you’re here and I feel it rising in me.”
He opened a hand and it hovered over your shoulder as he trembled. You cowered against the stone as you tried to press yourself flat. As you tried to wake up from whatever terrible dream this was. You didn’t.
“I have protected you as I’ve watch you but there is one thing I cannot protect you from,” His hand settled on your shoulder and slipped down your arm. “...Me.”
He grabbed your elbow and spun you past him. He released you so that you collided with the stone table and it knocked the wind out of you. His breaths were like growls as he closed in. You turned to him and his hand stretched over your throat.
“I tried… I tried,” He ranted. “I truly did but… I promised Odin… I tried.”
His other hand grasped the strap of your tank top and snapped it easily. You tried to slap him away and his grip tightened around your neck. His body was trembling almost as much as yours.
“I won’t hurt you… if you don’t make me,” He warned.
Your eyes rounded and you stared up into his glowing eyes. There was something sinister within them that wasn’t there before. You dropped your hands and braced the edge of the table.
A shuddered “Please…” was all you could manage.
His tongue slid over his bottom lip as he tore your other strap. He pulled the top down to your waist and hummed as his gaze fell to your bare chest. You wanted to hide from him but you could barely move. The hand at your throat sapped all your resistance. Your skin buzzed as he cupped your tit.
He flicked a thumb over your nipple and then the other. He watched his hand as it explored your flesh and began to crawl lower. He crept over the crumpled tank top and his fingers pushed beneath the waistband of your shorts; the old faded pajamas were a poor shield against his ardour.
He tugged them past your hips and let them fall down your legs. A rush of fear flowed through you and you grabbed onto his thick arms. His hand squeezed your throat just a little.
“Stop,” You rasped. “Please, I… I…”
“I can’t.” He snarled.
He released you but only to grasp your hips and lift you in a single motion. He was so strong, you felt little more than a feather on the wind. He sat you on the table, his cold armour against your back. He pushed between your legs and bent to cover your mouth with his. His hand stretched across the back of your head as he held you to him.
You grunted and struggled against him. It only seemed to rile him as he shoved his other hand between your legs. His thighs kept your knees apart as he pressed on your clit until you squirmed. You slapped your hands down on the table and moaned.
His tongue pushed past your lips as he slid his fingers inside of you. You squeaked into his mouth and your legs tingled as he curled his fingers. You clawed the stone beneath you as he played with you. He pressed the heel of his hand to your bud and squeezed as he began a steady pace.
His other hand fell from the back of your head and you gasped as you drew away. His hand moved faster and faster. You shuddered as your core thrummed and ripples tingled along your spine. You panted wildly as you tried to resist the steep and undeniable rise. Your hips bucked as you came and your back hit the tall horns of his helmet as you quivered helplessly.
He withdrew his hand as you groaned and struggled not to fall back entirely. He quickly fought with the laces of his breeches and ripped them open. For a moment, the terror returned to you and you thought of escape. He pulled his cock from beneath the leggings and you gulped. He grabbed your hip as he stepped closer and stifled your fears.
He dragged his tip along your folds and you pushed on his chest. The ecstasy drained as he pressed against your entrance. This was a stranger, a man you didn’t know, a being you were certain was inhuman. You didn’t want him. You didn’t want this, did you?
He impaled you sharply as if he could sense your doubt. You cried out and scratched at the fabric across his broad chest. You gripped it tightly as your walls quaked around him. He was big and thick and the delight of his girth was laced with pain. Tears pricked your eyes and your legs hugged his hips without thought. You didn’t know if you wanted him to stop or keep on.
All restraint slaked away from him as he rocked into you. His hands snaked around to grope your ass. He pulled you closer to the edge as he pounded deeper and deeper. Beastly snarls whisked from his lips and he lifted you entirely. You draped your arms over his shoulders as he moved your body against his.
You couldn’t help the pressure as it mounted once more. Couldn’t help that this man was stealing this pleasure from you so easily. You blamed it all on this man. It couldn’t possibly be you. You couldn’t like it. You couldn’t.
You came again and he turned and leaned against the table. He lifted your knees up to rest beside him and rocked your hips against his. He sank into you over and over until you were wrapped around him. Your heavy breaths nestled in the crook of your neck as you weakly clung to him.
He slammed you down harder than before and let out a strangled grunt. He slowed and rode out his climax until you were completely still. You were breathless and weak against him, your body covered in sweat. He wrapped his arms around you as your limbs fell and held you against him.
“I…” He breathed over the crown of your head. “I tried.”
Could I request the “forbidden/secret relationship” with Loki and reader? They dated back in Asgard, but with Loki as prince it was somehow forbidden so they needed to keep it secret. Someone found out and the reader was sent to Midguard and to not see Loki again and while she is there she found out she’s pregnant. Years later Loki found a way back to the reader and is surprised to see that they have a child together
Absolutely! Thanks for the request! Hope this is the kind of thing your were looking for. :)
Loki/ReaderRated T - kissing, forbidden romance, implied smut, angst, fluff
Tumblr media
"Darling, we have to stop this," you told him, wishing you could mean it as much as you should. "If someone finds out..."
 "I want someone to find out," Loki insisted. "I want everyone to find out. I want to proclaim from the dais in the throne room how much I love you."
 His voice was rising alarmingly as he spoke, arm encircling your waist pulling you close beneath the bright night stars. The air was cool and crisp, but in your princes' embrace you felt only the heat radiating from his lean muscled body. Just a bit franticly you raised your hand to cover his lips to keep him from shouting out your presence. Loki merely smiled and kissed your fingers, a stubborn look in his bright green eyes.
 "You know that can't happen my love," you said, silently wishing it were otherwise. "You are a prince. In line for the throne. I am a nothing, a nobody."
 "You are everything to me," he interrupted, claiming your lips in a kiss that tasted of wine and chocolate covered fruit from your picnic. Resolutely you fought against what his kisses always did to you. There was too much at stake to give in, yet again, to the passion your dark prince could evoke in you.
 "Loki, we must stop. I may be everything to you now, but we have known from the start how things must be. For your own sake and for the good of the realm."
 "The good of the realm," he scoffed.
 "Yes!" you went on tenaciously. "You could be king some day, Loki. Ruler of all Asgard."
 "Oh min kjaereste, Odin will never choose me," he said with a bitter laugh.
 "Not if you are tied to a peasant, he won't!" you said triumphantly. "You have to make an advantageous marriage. That is the duty of princes, to secure the safety of the realm. And yes, Odin may seem to favor Thor now, but things change, my love. Time will show him who the worthy son is, and he will turn to you."
 "You believe that?" the need in Loki's voice when he spoke of his father was almost enough to break you. He so craved the approval and acceptance of the harsh old man, though he would rather perish than admit it. For yourself, you thought Odin was a foolish king with a glaring blind spot when it came to his sons. How anyone could miss the shining potential just waiting to be nourished within Loki was a mystery to you.
 "I believe in you, Loki," you told him, rising on your tiptoes to kiss him. "I believe you are destined for greatness."
 "I love you, min kjaereste," he told you, crushing you to him. "I don't care about your station. I don't care about anything but you. Say you love me too."
 "I love you Loki," the words flew from your lips, unable to be curbed when he looked at you so intently, hands mapping your body in the moonlight.
 "Then let me show you, darling," he coaxed, plucking the rare white night blossom that grew only in this one place, high atop the hill overlooking Asgard. You gasped as he trailed the precious white bloom down the side of your cheek and over you lips. You had never seen one before, let alone felt how soft were its petals. “Tomorrow we can discuss succession and dynasties. Tonight let me worship you."
 You closed your eyes and let the night recede as he  lay you down atop his cloak. Tomorrow, as he said. Tomorrow you would be strong and do what must be done, for both your sakes. You would give yourself the fairy tale of tonight. One more night where you would feel what it was to be loved, truly, deeply loved, by a prince.
Loki looked around the open space with disdain. They called this a park. Flocked to it in droves as though it deserved the name. Back home on Asgard it would not so much merit a bench. The gardens and parks at home, fragrant with teeming variety of blossoms, were each more glorious than the next. All of them, including the one where a very special flower grew. The one that he never went to.
"It's lovely, isn't it?" Thor beamed, waving his arms to encompass their surroundings.
"It's crowded," Loki groused in response. "All of these Midgardians and their pets."
"Dogs, brother!" Thor enthused. "They're called dogs!"
"What are they exactly?" Loki was mildly intrigued by the creatures, he had to admit. While his contempt for the humans might be thinly veiled, the beasts that led them about on woven and chain leads seemed rather noble creatures.
"Well, from what I gather they are loyal and playful, if a bit of handful to clean up after. They follow one around and fetch things, and protect you when the need arises. Also, they jump on you and drool a bit. Jane and I are getting one of our very own soon, she promised me!"
"Jane already has one of her own," Loki laughed, watching as Thor slowly took his meaning and blushed with rueful self awareness. That was one thing that had improved about his brother since his time on Midgard had begun at least. He seemed more aware of his own rather... well, dog-like tendencies and temperament. Loki supposed that there must be something redeeming about this planet if it could so enlighten the chronically dense.
"So what do you think, Brother?" Thor asked, voice betraying his anxiety. "Will you do it?"
"Will I do it," Loki repeated, looking around him with unseeing eyes.
"Yes. Will you take the throne?" Thor urged.
"This is really what you want?" he could not believe that his brother, born to be a king as he was, would settle... would long for this pedestrian life.
"It is all I want," Thor told him seriously. "A life with Jane. Protecting Midgard from her enemies. But I can not do that if I am King of Asgard. Take the throne, Loki. You have the wisdom and patience to rule. Let me be free."
"I will do as you ask," Loki began, raising one hand in warning as Thor began to build in excitement, "with one proviso. I will not marry. I will not have children."
"But you must!" Thor insisted. "The line of succession must continue!"
"I have sworn it, Thor," Loki spat out, eyes going hard. "I will not go back on my word. I will rule until my time is done, but you must provide the heir. It will not be of my getting."
"As you will," for a man who had just gotten his wish, Thor sounded less than happy. "Come, there is one more place I wish to show you."
Loki rolled his eyes and rose from the bench where they had been sitting to follow his bounding brother down the nearest path.
You had lost Lael somewhere in the Ramble, a series of twisting paths that ran through a section of the park near your home. A hint of anxiety stirred within you, he was not a large child and only ten of the human years in age. Still, he was strong for his size, and had the dog with him. Of course he did, the two were practically inseparable and had been since Lael's birth.
What a miserable night that had been. Though nowhere near as glacial as your homeland could become, it had nonetheless been cold and snowy enough to impede your way to the medical center where you were scheduled to give birth. All alone in the dead of night you had trudged there, not trusting the mortal transit system as much as you had your own two feet. It had been a long time before you trusted much of anything. There had been a man there, though, who while cold and somewhat distant in demeanor had nonetheless taken an interest in you. He was not your doctor, he had snidely comment that child birth was far beneath his skillset, but having looked at your scans and seen the anomalies therein he had tracked you down in the wing reserved for new mothers.
Steven was a friend now, and had introduced you to others like you; those imbued with gifts or physiognomy beyond that found on this backwards world. It gave you a sense of dark amusement that you were considered special here. Back at home it had been your very ordinariness that had sealed your fate. He had also gifted you with the small black puppy, saying that every Earth boy needed a dog. You had pointed out the obvious, Lael was not of Earth, but he had just smiled and reminded you that he was now.
You were actually on your way to meet Steven now, not far from here in the park. You missed Steven. He was still in New York, of course, but he practiced sorcery now instead of medicine and was usually quite busy. You found that ironic. It seemed you attracted sorcerers. Particularly the arrogant, dark haired variety with a caustic wit.
The other sorcerer, the first one, had been on your mind so much of late. It was only natural, you supposed. Thor, the golden Thunder God, had been splashed all over the television. It was almost comical watching the people of this planet fall under his spell as so many had before. You could not blame them; Thor was charming, handsome, noble, all that a God should be. If he did not have hair as dark as midnight and eyes as green as moss, well, not everyone cared for that. And if he was a bit dim it had never seemed an impediment before.
"Well hello there, little fellow! And you too, big fellow!" a booming voice interrupted your revelry.
You stopped in your tracks, all of the air rushing from your lungs in one gush. You had exchanged barely ten words with Thor in your time on Asgard, but you knew his voice. Turning to the side of the path, you looked down into the small ravine carved out by a little waterfall to your left. There, as if conjured by your memory, was a hulking figure with bright blond hair and bulging muscles. He was hunkered down on his knees, petting the dark fur of a large black dog you were all to familiar with.
For all the combined space taken up by the blond God and the frisky Labrador however, they barely occupied a moment of your notice. No, the figures below who had taken the very air from your body and caused your heart to beat so loudly that it threatened to deafen you were the two slim, black haired ones standing to either side of the clearing.
It was unfair, drastically, extraordinarily unfair, how handsome Loki still was after all this time. Dressed as he was now in Earth clothes, he was somehow even more remarkable to look at. It was as if his unparalleled beauty was rendered even more exquisite in the ordinary (though you were sure exorbitantly expensive) black suit he wore. He had filled out since the last time you had seen him. The youth you had loved so dearly with all your heart solidifying into a man with all his soft edges filed away.
Unable to endure the sight of him any longer, your eyes flickered to the boy facing him. Once more your heart beat a wild tattoo. It the dark hair, smooth and brushed back from his face, the straight spine and haughty tilt of the head, you had always known how much they resembled his father, but seeing them now, face to face, it was like looking back into your youth when the two princes of Asgard had first come into the city in search of tokens for their mother and stumbled into her parents' shop. Only his eyes, the color of your own, were different from the boy you had met then.
"Loki," Lael spoke in a commanding voice, "behave yourself!"
Oh sweet Norns, you thought, suddenly finding your feet and hurrying around the bend towards the figures in the clearing.
"I bed your pardon," came the voice you had never thought to hear again. The one that made your stomach launch into butterflies and your mouth go bone dry.
"My dog, sir," your son's voice carried through the trees.
"You dog is named Loki?" Thor guffawed.
"Yes sir. My mother named him. It is a noble name. The name of a God."
"It is indeed," Loki's low, dark voice agreed. "And what do you know of the God Loki, boy?"
"He was the Trickster, sir. The smartest, cleverest God ever to exist. He was a warrior, and could best any of the other Gods at fighting, but chose instead to use his superior intelligence and his magic. My mother also says he was the most handsome, but that is not important."
"On the contrary," Loki purred. "I find it very important. And where is your mother, boy? Aren't you a bit young to be cavorting about by yourself?"
"I'm old enough," he huffed, puffing out his chest. "And besides, Loki will protect me. But here she comes now."
You skidded around the final bend and came to an ungainly stop just behind Lael. You hand, shaking visibly, came to rest on your son's shoulder, and you drew him protectively to you. Lael resisted, squirming a bit and rolling his eyes like any boy his age but you held him firmly.
"I know I'm not to talk to strangers in the park," he said defensively, "but Loki liked them! And you know what good taste he has always had."
"Yes," Loki's voice sounded strange, almost strangled to your ears. "Yes he always has."
You swallowed, unable to speak. You were suddenly intensely aware of the careless state of your appearance. You never spent much time on it when you were not at work. It was not as though you were seeking to attract anyone; who could possibly draw your eye when you had lost your heart irrevocably to a God. To the God now standing before you with unblinking eyes.
"Wait," Thor's voice cut into the tension filling the clearing. "Don't I know you?"
"Distantly, Your Highness," you said, curtseying as well as you could in your jeans.
"You are from Asgard!" Thor smiled, placing you. "Your family owned the small shop that sold trinkets and books in the village."
"Indeed," you nodded, eyes still not leaving Loki's face.
"What in heaven's name are you doing on Midgard?" Thor asked, sounding baffled.
"Yes," Loki spoke at last. "I would like to know that as well."
"The All Father arranged it," you said, eyes going to the ground.
"You spoke to Odin?" Loki's voice was no more than a whisper.
"I did."
"Your idea or his?"
Painfully you dragged your eyes up to meet his. A world of pain, long remembered, shone in his eyes.
"Mine," you confessed. "The morning... the morning after."
"I see," he rasped.
"Loki?" Thor looked from one to the other of you.
"You deserted me," Loki's voice sounded as though it had been dragged across the rocks.
"He would have found out," you said, words coming in a rush. "He would have discovered us. Already he was suspicious. I went to him and asked what would happen if you bound yourself to a commoner."
"And?" Loki asked.
"It would not have been allowed."
"I would have liked to see them try to stop me!"
"You would have been stripped of your crown," you insisted. "Devested of all royal duty and privilege. I couldn't do that to you!"
"I would think that was rather for me to decide," he told you coldly. "Did you have so little faith in me? I would have denounced all titles, all rights, to be with you."
"I didn't want you to denounce anything!"
"Except you!"
"Mother, what is going on?"
"Mother?" Loki's eyes went larger as he looked, really and truly, looked at the boy before him. "Min kjaereste, who is this child? Have you... have you given yourself to another? An ant of Midgard? Where is he? Take me to him that I may eviscerate him for having dared lay a hand on what is mine!"
"Loki," Thor grabbed his arm.
"My father is gone!" Lael said defiantly, flipping his hair back from where the wind had blown it in his face. "But he was not an ant! He was a Prince! And one day he will be a King!"
"Lael, hush!" you said, blinking tears from her eyes. "Loki. Look at him."
Loki stared, wild eyed, at Lael and slowly understanding lit in his eyes.
"Lael?" he whispered.
"It means God," you said quietly.
"When did you know?" Loki asked.
"I found out the last day we met. I wanted to tell you that night in the garden, but I couldn't find the words. I went to Odin to see... to see if we would be allowed. To be together."
"What did the old man say?" surprisingly, it was Thor who growled the question.
"I told you, Loki would be forbidden to see me. Cast out if he disobeyed."
"And? There is more than that, is there not?"
"He was..." you closed your eyes, trying to calm yourself enough to speak your greatest fear, "he was going to take Lael. When he was born."
"Father has many flaws, but he would never hurt a child!" Thor shook his head.
"Are you so sure of that?" there was murder in Loki's voice.
"He would not be harmed," you rushed to assure them. "He would be placed with a family far away, on another planet. There were reasons, he said, why he could not allow a child of Loki's to be seen on Asgard and acknowledged."
"I can turn blue," Lael said proudly, startling both men and causing you to gasp. "I am not supposed to talk about it, accept around special people, but Mother this must count!"
"Lael!" you scolded, earning a sullen pout from your son.
"He is - like me?" Loki asked, fear in his voice.
"Sometimes," you replied, squeezing your son. "I have a friend. A sorcerer, though not like you. Steven Strange. I believe you know him, Thor. He has cast an illusion so that Lael can only turn blue when I allow it."
"It's not fair," Lael sulked.
"So Odin wanted to send him away. To hide my shame."
"Or his own," you cut in. "He is the one who should feel shame, after all, kidnapping a baby and lying for all those years."
"Odin and shame do not keep company, believe me," Loki said harshly. "He sent you away."
"I had a choice, such as it was. Stay in Asgard and have the child taken from me at birth, or go away before his arrival and remain with him in exile. Leave you, or leave our child."
"You didn't think to tell me?" Loki's voice betrayed a heartache that cut you nearly to the quick. "I could have protected you, min kjaereste."
"There was no time. He was sending me away, to exile or a cell. I chose to protect what we had created, and I would do so again!"
"I never knew," Loki staggered forward and knelt before Lael, searching his face with an intensity that bordered on frightening.  "I had a fight with Father that day. I told him that I planned to ask for your hand, and he laughed at me. Asked what family in their right mind would wed their daughter to one disowned. I decided to call his bluff and sought out your parents, but when I got there they said you had run away. That while you cared for me, you did not want to suffer for my disgrace."
"Loki, no!" you breathed in horror.
"You didn't run away from me?" he asked, looking up at you with hope in his eyes.
"Never, my love," you shook your head, ignoring your tears.
"Mother," Lael broke out of your embrace at last and stumbled. Loki's quick arm shot out to steady him. One look at the small shoulder beneath his hand and Loki let out a cry of pure emotion. Canine Loki began barking, leaping about around the pair in the center of the clearing. "Tell me what is going on!"
"Lael," you said, looking over at the dark prince with his hand resting on your son. "I would like you to meet two old friends of mine. This is Thor, and this is Loki."
"Mother, your being silly!"
"She is not," Thor said seriously, winking at your son. "Those are our names."
"Then your parents were silly," he said.
"Our father, certainly. But our mother was very wise. Just like yours. I'll tell you what, Lael, it looks like your pup wants to run. What say we indulge him for a moment."
Loki made a panicked noise as Thor swooped Lael up onto his shoulders, but Thor smiled reassuringly at him.
"We will not be far. I think you two have a bit to say to one another."
As Thor trotted off with the boy and dog happily whooping, Loki stood up and took your hand between his long, white fingers.
"Min kjaereste," he said. "Can you ever forgive me?"
"For what?" you asked, confused.
"For not believing in you," he said, eyes, welling with tears. "For not moving earth and sky to find you. For leaving you to raise our son alone. Our son! I have a son!"
"You do," you smiled. "Loki, there is nothing to forgive. It was my mistake, going to Odin."
"It is what we are taught to do," he laughed hollowly. "Bring our problems to the All Father."
"Well, I will never do so again," you said witsh feeling.
"I hope you do not mean that, my love," he said quietly.
"Surely you don't think I could ever trust Odin after what he has put us all through?"
"Never," Loki shook his head. "But Odin is no longer the All Father. He is gone, darling. Gone to Valhalla. It is why I am here, to see Thor."
"Ah, then Thor will become King at last?"
"It was the plan," Loki said, playing with your fingers. "But he does not wish to take the throne. He has renounced Asgard and chosen to remain on Midgard."
"But that means..." you stared, open mouthed at Loki.
"The throne is mine," he nodded. "As of now I am the All Fathe of the Nine Realms."
Slowly, with great reverence, you sank to your knees on the dirt before him.
"My King," you said gravely, kissing his hand.
"Darling," he smiled at you, "there is one reason and one reason only I ever want to see you on your knees. And unfortunately, this is neither the time nor the place for that."
"Loki!" you gasped, a heat flushing your face as he helped you to your feet.
"Asgard needs a Queen, my love," he told you, "and I have told Thor already that I will have none but you."
"But can not be allowed!"
"I am the All Father," he grinned. "And I am Loki. I do what I want. And I want, I very, very much want you, my only love. Say you still want me as well?"
The insecurity on his final words sliced you to the heart. With a cry of joy you through your arms around him and lost yourself in that long remembered intoxication of his embrace. His kiss was just as you remembered, but even more desperate. You wished with all of your heart you were someplace private that you could allow the feelings, long kept shut up behind the highest walls, to over come you and lead to their inevitable conclusion. Loki was right, though. It was neither the time nor place. Reluctantly you untangled yourself from about him and smiled into his brilliant eyes.
"I have something for you," he told you fondly. With a wave of his hand he drew from nowhere a delicate white flower, perfectly formed. "I kept it, from our last night together, safe in my pocket dimension. As long as I had it, I could dream that I had you."
As you took the flower from his hand, your eyes overflowed with tears. He was perfect, just like the blossom.
"But I have nothing to give you," you told him, upset.
"Nonsense. You have given me a son, and you have given me hope. I never thought to have either. Now come, before Thor corrupts the boy more than we can undo in this lifetime!"
"As you wish, my King," you smiled.
Loki raised your hand to his lips and kissed your palm. He tucked it into his arm and started to walk, but stopped momentarily and turned to face you.
"One thing, my heart," he said, raising one eyebrow.
"Yes?" you asked.
"You named the dog Loki?"
"He was our protector!" you giggled, as Loki rolled his eyes.
"I see. Well, I suppose we shall have to take him with us. And just when I have finally gotten rid of Thor!"
Counterfeit Criminals | Part Two
He took the seat beside you and glanced around your ship with a bemused look on his face.
“It’s a little messy,” You said, keeping your focus on your lift off, “Get over it.”
You could hear the smile on his face when he said, “I didn’t say anything.”
The sound of your tools hitting the floor let you know he’d brushed them off the passenger seat. Before he could sit down, you jerked your ship to the side and back, sending him careening into the side.
“Lots of trees,” You shrugged by way of explanation.
He huffed a little chuckled and took a seat, leaning back lazily as if you were his chauffeur. You gripped the steering wheel tight knowing that, despite your purposeful little dip, your ship was in no condition to even brush a tree on the way out. Almost the entirety of this job was going toward fixing your ship, but if something happened to it, well, you didn’t even want to think about that scenario. When you had landed on Praxius IX you had thought the cover of the trees was towpath the difficulty getting out, now you weren’t so sure.
“You haven’t sold it yet,” The Prince’s voice was barely more than a whisper, but you heard it loud and clear.
You didn’t need to ask what he was talking about. The Warlock’s Eye hadn’t moved from its position on the floor beside the passenger seat in the year you’d had it. When you’d landed on Earth a little over six months ago, you’d considered selling it to the museum, but you couldn’t make yourself do it. It was silly, but you couldn’t even get yourself to touch it, no matter how desperately you needed the money. Eventually you’d learned its mind controlling powers and there was no way in hell you’d ever risk it falling into some idiot’s hands on earth. You knew you weren’t in any place to hold onto such power, but it was hidden on your ship and that was that. At least it wasn’t being used, even if you were tempted to used it on the person sitting next to you.
His words weren’t a question, so you didn’t answer; let him think what he wanted.
Aggressive beeping sounded from your dashboard and you looked down at your monitor and swore.
“I thought you took care of it,” You growled with a glance in his direction.
He shrugged, “I was unaware that it would take you this long to get your ship off the ground. Pardon me for thinking highly of you.”
“I am going to kill you once we get out of here,” You promised.
He smirked, “Go ahead, but I must warn you, from past experience, it doesn’t seem to take.”
“Judging by the fact that there have been past attempts you could understand why I’d want to.”
He chuckled and leaned further back into the seat. If he was in the least bit worried, it didn’t show. The Praxian ships were gaining on you faster than you’d anticipated, and you willed your ship to go faster. Your engine was heating up, but you ignored it and forced it on.
“Care to do anything about this?” You snapped.
He shook his head, “There’s nothing I can do.”
You tore your gaze away from the front long enough to glare at him and flip him the finger. The wailing warning of an incoming shot grabbed your attention and you swerved the ship at the last second, narrowly avoiding the hit. Firing back, you managed to give yourself enough room to race around a tall mountain peak and head back the way you came, the mountainous scenery acting as a shield.
“I believe the way out is in the other direction,” Loki commented.
“I’m well aware,” You replied through gritted teeth, “But we’re not going to make it out that way.”
Coming into this job, you’d known that you might have to take a detour out, which hadn’t bothered you then. Now, the idea wasn’t so appealing. To get close to Asgard through the portal you were about to go through meant spending weeks in your ship. Your mortal body could barely handle three consecutive jumps at a time with at least a twenty-four-hour waiting period between jumps. The only benefit was that this way was looking like you’d make it out alive. At least this way you’d get your chance to stab the Prince.
Even though they were gaining on you, the portal was close enough that you’d make it. The ship was part way through the portal when something hit the side, sending you flying off your seat and onto the floor, the ship careening out of control. Your stomach dropped and you knew you were feeling the effects of the portal. When your head began to spin, and the urge to throw up washed over you, you knew you’d gone through a second one. You could barely move, wincing under the pressure as it flattened you to the floor of your ship. Despite the pain and kaleidoscope of colours fading in and out around you, you braced yourself for the crash. The ship rocked dangerously, but somehow, it was still in space.
When you could finally stand, you tumbled onto your seat. The Prince gave you a quick once over, brows knotted in concentration as he steered your broken ship as best he could. The ship had to land. It wouldn’t make it much further, but at least he’d saved it from crashing. Though you knew the landing wouldn’t exactly be far from a crash.
“I can take over,” You said when the world stopped spinning.
“I know,” He didn’t yield control, “But it would be more dangerous to switch seconds away from landing. You wouldn’t risk death for the sake of your pride, would you?”
You scoffed, “Like you’re one to talk about pride.”
“Would you like me to take my hands off the wheel then?” He threatened.
“Stop acting so childish,” You snapped, “Land the damn ship.”
“So touchy.”
The smirk on his face made you want to stab him so you said, “You’ll see how touchy I can get when you get up close and personal with my dagger.”
That wolfish grin only grew, “Well that was not where I was hoping you’d go with that sentence.”
You glared at him and braced against the side of the ship, the tall plant life and vegetation an unappealing landing pad. The best you could hope for was that nothing you’d hit would cause any permanent damage to your ship. With the hit you’d taken, you’d be stuck on this planet for a couple days. The worst you could expect was being stranded out here for who knew how long.
Strain was written all over the Prince’s face as he forced against gravity to slow the ship decent enough that the impact wouldn’t kill either of you. Panic lights were flashing red, warning you that your incoming speed was dangerously high for any kind of landing. The hit wouldn’t be gentle.
“You need to slow down,” You ordered even though you were well aware that it wasn’t possible.
“Buckle up,” The prince growled, putting up on the wheel. He spared you a glance when you didn’t move, “Now.”
You did as you were told seconds before the impact jerked you around like a rag doll. The turbulence seemed to last for forever, only opening your eyes when it stopped. Somehow you were alive, which was good, but could you say the same for your ship?
Looking around, you noticed Loki slumped over in his seat, head leaning against the wheel and blood coming out of his temple. A massive tree branch had broken through your ship trough the side and had jammed across the front practically screwing him.
You scrambled to unbuckle yourself, tripping over the seat as you rushed to him. You gently lifted his face and his eyes fluttered at the movement but didn’t open. Your heart pounded in your ears and you searched his face desperately for a sign that he was all right.
“Loki. Loki, say something,” You brushed hair away from his face, checking his pulse to make sure he was alive.
A groan escaped his lips and you let out a shallow sigh, still not convinced he was fine. He managed to open his eyes, the bright green dulled and sleepy.
“I thought you were going to stab me. Not make sure I live,” He slurred.
You considered letting go of him, but you couldn’t make yourself do it, “You’re not dying, Wolf. There’s no need to be so dramatic. It’s a concussion at worst. When you die, it’ll be my fault, not some accidental shipwreck.”
The corner of his mouth twitched upward, “Then I’d better not die, now should I?”
You narrowed your eyes, “Don’t you dare.
“Funny. I almost believe you care,” He murmured.
“Almost.”
You stared into his eyes and found yourself searching for some sort of explanation for the way things had ended the way they had. You had thought that maybe…You sighed and pushed the thought away. Despite his return, it was useless to think about it now. You needed to get him off your ship and then the two of you could go on your separate ways. Even if you had spent the better part of the past year thinking about what you’d say to the Prince when you finally saw him again, you knew you had to let it go. The past was in the past and the two of you had no future.
You backed off, “At least you got us here in one piece.”
“One of my many talents,” He shot you a weak smile and looked around, “Where is here?”
You took in the familiar forestry and checked your monitor for confirmation. You’d had your suspicions about where you’d landed but hadn’t wanted to think about it. Because if you were right, then that meant three more jumps to get close to Asgard than you’d originally planned.
“An old trading post I found years ago,” You sighed, letting your head fall back, “it’s off most of the maps. I found it by accident and logged it into the ship’s default destinations.”
“There’s nothing here,” He said.
“There’s enough to fix the ship and to get going again. And I didn’t choose to come here, the ship diverted here when we got knocked off course partway through the portal,” You snapped.
He pushed himself up, wincing, “How long should that take?”
“Depends on the damage,” You shrugged, “I’m hoping to get out of here as soon as possible.”
He raised a brow, “Is my company that despicable?”
His tone caught you by surprise, but his face showed nothing other than the bored indifferent you hated so much. Maybe you were imagining it. This wouldn’t be the first time. You had certainly imagined something that wasn’t there before.
“It definitely wasn’t wanted,” You replied, though there was far less bite in your words than before.
Those intense green eyes never left yours, “Wasn’t or isn’t?”
You didn’t know how to answer. You decided on deflecting the same way he always did, “You didn’t want my company in Asgard.”
He opened his mouth to speak but you shook your head.
“Don’t bother. I know you were only keeping me around as a means to your end. When you let me out of that cell, we made a deal. It was on me for being surprised that you’d risk my life and use my escape as an attempt to get the throne.”
Everything in his eyes hardened and his voice was cold as ice, “Your life was never in danger.”
“It took three days of waiting in a forgotten pocket of the universe before I could even think to begin the jumps back to Earth,” You spat, “Don’t try and tell me that my life was never in danger.”
You stood before the conversation could continue any further and headed toward the back of the ship. You needed to let go of the past. Let go of feelings you never should have had in the first place.
You paused before exiting, but didn’t turn to look at him, “I need to go and assess the damage. You’re in no condition to help. Stay here.”
It was easy to assume as much, with the lascivious looks he had let drift your way around the Tower, or the sensual and powerful strut he employed, but to know it was much preferred to simply pondering the idea.
One taste of his tongue plundering into your mouth had you addicted, battling for more as your chest arched against his from his iron-clad grip on your hands above your head. The steady and insistent rock of his erection against your thigh tightened the band of pleasure coiling deep in your belly. And when he breathed your name against your bared breast - having melted away your clothing with the aid of his magic - before sucking the stiffened peak of your nipple in between his lips, you knew that this is what it was like to tumble into the darkness he offered.
And it wasn’t enough.
You finally wrenched your hands from his shackling hold, picking your head up from where it had fallen against the wall to stare down at him with heavy-lidded eyes glazed with lust. Your hands tangled in his soft black hair, tugging his head off of where he had fervently latched onto your breast. The heat behind his darkened eyes as he looked up to you with a quirked brow made your stomach muscles clench in anticipation.
“On your back,” you commanded, voice breathy as you panted against the desire thrumming beneath your skin.
You had expected him to bristle at your command, give you some nonsense about how he wasn’t to be told what to do, but that wasn’t the case. His calloused fingertips rasped against your waist as he backed away before falling to his sides. He backed up onto the exercise mats, removing the rest of his clothing and then sitting down on top of his ruined t-shirt.
You took a brief moment to drink in the sight of the god before you, all lean sinew and rippling muscle as he leaned back on his hands to allow you to feast on the glory of his body. When your eyes fell to the gentle curve of his cock against his stomach, all moisture left your mouth and throat to pool between your thighs with an aching pulse that needed to be soothed by his touch.
You couldn’t bare yourself to him quick enough, following his lead with shaking fingers that scattered your clothing about the room in haphazard piles. You straddled his thighs, pressing his erection in between you as your arms wrapped around his shoulders to capture his lips in another heated kiss. Now that you had the upper hand, you reveled in the low groans and soft sighs that you coaxed out of him with the roll of your hips against his, coating him in the slick heat of your lust.
When you were forced to break the crushing kiss to suck in a deep breath, you dipped your head down to the smooth column of his neck, nibbling and sucking on the salty-sweet skin that he offered to you with the roll of his head backward on his shoulders. His rabbiting heartbeat beneath your flicking tongue synched to the pulse between your legs.
Your hands mapped the taut muscles of his torso, tracing the rigid planes and valleys with the lightest touch of your nails before you pushed him fully onto his back. His hair fanned about around his head, a black halo to suit the dark prince, matching the quirk of one his finely sculpted brows at your bold command of his body.
You hesitated, hand settling over the heave of his stomach, rubbing soft circles with his thumb as you tamped down the desire begging you to follow your fingertips with your tongue for just a moment. “Is this okay?”
His answering chuckle was dark, filled to the brim with sensual promises that made his hips shake against you and your body shudder. One of his hands ghosted up your torso to palm the weight of your breast, and the other dug into the pliant flesh of your ass to press you down into him. “If you do not continue, I fear that I may burst from the exquisite torture of your touch.”
That was permission enough, you mused. Moments ago you had been almost driven mad with need, craving him inside of you, but now that he was prone before you, willing and able, you had the urge to take your time. When were you going to get the chance to taste the essence of a god again?
The stuttered moan that echoed around the room when you dragged your tongue along the length of his erection before closing your lips over the shiny, swollen head. His hands fisted themselves in your hair, not restraining or pushing, just holding onto you as you traced each raised ridge and vein of the satin sheathed steel of his cock. You supported your torso with hands splayed over his thighs, keeping him from thrusting into your mouth too far or fast when he couldn’t contain his pleasure anymore.
Power, heady and addictive in its intensity, swelled inside of you as the careful composure he worked to maintain crumbled away with each lick, suck, and caress of your lips and tongue around him. You held one of the most powerful beings on the planet in the palm of your hand, literally, teasing him where your lips weren’t.
Only when his breaths hitched in his throat and his grip on your hair tightened to an almost painful degree did you stop, pecking a light kiss to the jut of his hipbone before sitting back on your heels above him. He growled low in his chest and hooked his hands around your thighs, pulling you up his body until the wet heat of your sex was poised above the tip of his erection.
You reached between you, maintaining eye contact as you guided him into you, hissing out your pleasure between your teeth at the stretch of him impaling you inch by torturous inch. When you were fully seated on him, buried to the hilt and feeling so wonderfully full, your hands fell onto his chest.
You moved as one, his hand holding onto the curve of your waist tightly to aid you in the fast and frantic slap of your hips against his thighs. The calloused pad of his thumb found the hardened nub of your clit between your bodies, tightening the coil of your impending orgasm with firm flicks and circling strokes.
At a particularly deep thrust that made your fingers curl into his pecs your arms gave out, sending your chest down against his and your hands to the mats beside his head. The new angle had his arms wrap around your back, holding you to him so that he could roll you over without parting from you.
His hair fell in a curtain around you, separating you from the rest of the room as he towered above you, propped up on his forearms by your shoulders. He peppered kisses and heated licks across your jawline and throat, panting against your sweat-slicked skin as he worked above you. Your hands smoothed down the rolling muscles of his back to cup his ass, holding on as you fought against the ecstasy that threatened to drag you into its depths.
“You’re holding back,” he ground out, velvet voice ragged and rough against the soft skin beneath your ear.
You were. You wanted to live in this moment forever, writhing beneath Loki as he used your body for his own gain, and you, his. All thought driven from your mind with the nudge of his cock against the inner bundle of nerves that made your heart leap into your throat and your muscles clench around him in need.
He shifted onto one arm, sliding a hand between you to pinch and roll your clit between two long fingers. “Give me everything, sweetling. Let me feel you fall apart around me.”
The rumble of his command beneath his crushing weight, combined with the punishing thrusts that would surely leave you sore tomorrow and the tweak of your most sensitive bundle of nerves snapped what little control you had left over your body. The coil of pleasure that he had been tightening all of this finally unraveled, rolling through your body in a wave of spasming nerves and searing heat that made your toes curl and ankles dig into the backs of his thighs from where your legs wrapped around him.
You were floating and falling at the same, tumbling into the darkness that his lustful gaze had promised, vaguely aware of the shuddering rut of his hips into yours before he followed you with the reverential cry of your name.
The heavy weight of his head between your breasts slowly guided you back to reality, his fingers tracing over the ridges and bumps of your knuckles wearily. Your eyes fluttered open, squinting at the bright fluorescent bulbs shining down on you, pulling you rudely from the bliss that weighed you down from head to toe. You settled your free hand on the back of his head, scratching your nails lightly along his scalp. It was all too natural and easy for your fingers to follow the curve of his head to cup the back of his neck gently. His pleased hum tickled your oversensitive skin, but your arms and legs were still too heavy to do anything about it.
The intimacy of his fingers laced through yours wrapped around your heart and squeezed as you returned his tight grip, trembling slightly with the aftershocks of your pleasure. It was quiet, peaceful, and you savored the unexpected softness of the moment for what it was - fleeting, a gift bestowed upon you only through the exhaustion and rush of hormones that left you both lax and warm in your embrace.
“All Avengers, please report to the Quinjet. All Avengers, please report to the Quinjet for an emergency mission.”
You groaned, releasing Loki to scrub your hands over your face and sigh dramatically. Of course.
He stood up, still fully nude, and held his hand out to you, palm up. “Ready to put our sparring into good use?”
You clasped your hand into his, allowing him to lift you onto shaky legs beside him. Your answering smile stretched across your sated face, “Ready.”
*chants* you're an amazing writer youre an amazing writer youre an amazing- anyways A for Porcelain, definitely also P, and i guess O, for the fanfic ask :) thank you sm for writing.
*blushes* thank you!!  *hugs* :) :) :) <3
For Porcelain, found here:
A) How did you come up with the title to [insert fic]?
"Porcelain" is actually a weird title in retrospect. I...really don't know. I remember I was thinking about how broken Thor, Loki and Hela are in the fic (and just, in canon tbh) and I was like, "how can I accurately say that in the title?" (I don't think people realize how much time I spend on titles, haha. Sometimes more than an hour of thinking time gets put into making sure the title makes sense. I don't have a problem with summaries, but titles.) Okay. Anyway. So. I was thinking about the Porcelain dolls you can buy, y'know the creepy ones that don't blink and have stuffed middles and if you breath on them wrong they'll shatter? Those ones. But. The dolls seem perfect on the outside. Unharmed, unbreakable, perfect. like how Loki, Thor and Hela try to portray themselves. But each of them is breakable, and can shatter if you drop them.
And drop them I did in the story. Because, like a broken bone, things are often stronger put back together after being shattered.
P)  Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
Architect.
So much. I put so much planning into stories. I'm not obsessed (I know someone who once write out a 100 pages of a plan for their original story which. That's a little much), but I do need to know what will happen in the story to get form point a to b. I actually have several pages of backstory on Hela for Porcelain (62%ish I'd say didn't make it into the story). Oddly, the only chapter I don't really plan is the first one. This story was a request I got, (though I already had 7ish pages written out of the basic concept) and that definitely helped spur me on.
However, that said, I am super flexible. If the story goes "actually, this is going to happen", I won't fight it. I feel like one of the good map apps that automatically adjusts the route for you when you make a wrong turn or something. I'll just go replan things until they'll join with the first plan.
Uh. Actually for fun, here's one of the chapters plans in Porcelain:
(pls ignore grammatical and spelling errors, this only needs to make sense to me, and probably really only does):
(This is chapter (...4?))
K’har attacks the ship.
-Water was used to cleanse the blood
-Asgard chases him off
-Hela frets over the sibs for a little, looking as though she has no idea what she’s doing with herself
-The council is still angry with her. Hypocrites to the highest degree. Demand to know what she’s doing there instead of a cell
-Bruce is like, “dude, she saved you!”
-They don’t really care. Ends in a stalemate, but Bruce is kind of done with all of them and shoves them off. Hela begins to explain about how they need to take the Fire Sweets back to their planet and dump them there. Says she might be able to purify the water enough and so on and so forth until Thor falls asleep
-Wakes up to Hela’s night terror. Hela is disoriented. Has no idea where she is and gasps out “my arm hurts” under her breath as she tries to right her. Thor watches Loki calm her down with ease and wonders when Loki got so good at calming down from panicking
-Hela stalks off, embarrassed, and Thor starts to go after her, but Loki convinces him otherwise.
-Thor asks if she’s done that before. Loki admits that there was one other time, but he’d said nothing about it. Thor is pretty much all better, but Loki is still waning. Thor asks if he’s using sedir and Loki kind of clenches and Thor pushes, only to get snapped at. Doesn’t really get any answers.
-Thor pulls back. Both of them go to sleep
-They take the people back to Fire Sweets. Dump them off and as they repair the hull, lose Hela. Thor panics some and he and Loki split up and Thor finds her.
-Thor asks her about the dream
-Hela says it was a memory. disoriented and when Thor tries to push she doesn’t give freely. Says something about it being drawn up by the medical room, but won’t go any further than that. Thor tries to carefully explain about how he doesn’t think less of her for being uncomfortable there. Asks to see her arm, and it’s almost healed, but not as much as he was expecting.
-Hela is annoyed.
-Thor offers her his hand and she takes it after a moment, allowing him to pull her to her feet. Thor says that he’s glad that she’s well. And that she didn’t run off. Hela just shoves him off and stalks back to the ship in annoyance.
-Thor feels like he’s both gained and lost something.
As you can see, in the actual chapter some of this happened and some of it didn’t. more was added, and a little removed. I’m architect, but only if I can garden on my building.
O) How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters?
*long breath* Both? Sometimes it's a concept that I read or see that I go "ooooh" for. Other times I need to vent real life by projecting and that turns into a giant mess of a story. (Love doing this to Peter P, though I'm sure he hates me.)
Though. Honestly, thinking deeply, most of the time, I write because there's a headcanon that I want to explore, and then Keep exploring. Loki being mind controlled? Sure, seems interesting. (Yah, I know it was confirmed, but still) Hela not being evil, but another somewhat victim? Okay. Wanda and Pietro being part of the Infinity Stones and therefore the Stones causing adverse reactions to them and they to it? Okay.
So. More clearly: story idea comes first, often, then I decide which characters I'm in the mood for and go from there.
A Little Convincing
The large wolf nudged your shoulder and you looked behind you and rubbed his muzzle.  He moved his head down lower and you scratched higher on his head between his eyes.  It was odd.  You’d never come in contact with an alien animal before.  It was nice to see your abilities crossed planets.
The wolf’s owner glared at you and whistled, and the wolf pulled away and carefully stepped around the group that had gathered together, moving to his master’s side and earning a look of loathing from Clint Barton.
“This situation isn’t ideal,”  Steve said.  “I don’t think Loki likes it any more than we do, but Thor is Thor and if it will make him happy…”
“He mind-controlled me to murder my friends.  He tried to commit genocide… twice.”  Clint seethed.
“Yes, and who here doesn’t have blood on their hands, Clint?”  Steve asked.  “Thor said he’s changed.  We give him a chance and we keep an eye on him.”
“Oh good.  This will be fun.”  Loki said sarcastically.
“We’re really all okay with that just wandering around the compound?”  Natasha said pointing up at the large wolf.
“His name is Fenrir,”  Loki snarled.
“And he’s why I’m here right?”  You asked.
“That’s right.  We need to know he’s gonna stay on the grounds and not hurt anyone.”  Steve said, earning an eye roll from Loki.  Steve came over to you and spoke quietly.  “You think you can do it?”
“Mm-hmm…”  You hummed.  “Need a little bit of time, but he’ll agree.”
Steve pulled out a tablet.  “This is where Loki will be staying until his home is built.”  He said gesturing to a map on the screen, he moved his hand from the visitor’s accommodations to a spot near the tree line.  “We’re going to build out here so he has his own space.  You think you can show him around while you get to know the wolf?”
You nodded.  “Sure thing.”
“Alright, the rest of you with me.  Loki, behave yourself.”  Steve said and he and the other Avengers started to head off as Loki mock saluted.
Clint hesitated and looked at you.  “You gonna be okay?”
You nodded.  “Course I will.  I’m never alone.”
He nodded and followed after the others and you smiled at Loki.  “Okay, let me show you around.”
Fenrir jumped up and pounced forward wagging his giant tail and looking like a giant puppy.  Loki looked at him with his brow furrowed and then at you.  “He likes you.”
“He’s a good boy.”  You replied and start walking.  Loki followed after you while Fenrir bounced around beside you.
“Why?”   Loki asked.
“Why is he a good boy?”  You asked, confused.
“No.  Why does he like you?”  Loki asked.  “What did you do to him?”
“I win people over with the power of friendship.”  You joked.  “Relax and you can be my friend too.”
“I’m sure you think you’re very funny don’t you?”  Loki said.  “Tell me what you are doing to Fenrir.”
“Nothing.  I just have an affinity with animals.  I can communicate with them if they share a space with me long enough.”  You say.  “He just feels that.”
Loki didn’t say anything, so you just kept walking.  Fenrir calmed a little and began to nudge you a little.  You stroked his fur and then began to walk with your hand on his flank, sharing him the knowledge of the extent of the compound and how far into the forest he was allowed and making sure he knew that he wasn’t to attack people.
You reached the building that held the visiting dignitaries if any came to negotiate things with the Avengers.  “This is where you’ll be staying for a while until your home is built.”  You said.
Loki looked up at the building.  “And where does my brother stay.”
“He has a room in the Avengers’ ... uhhh for want of a better word - house.”  You said pointing over to the building that sat a little closer to the water nearest to the offices.  “I don’t know if that’s officially what it’s called.  But like… it’s the building that the Avengers live in.”
“The once king who had the run of a palace now has a room,”  Loki said.  You weren’t sure if he sounded pleased or angry about it.  “I suppose they do not want me with them.”
“I think that that is accurate.”  You said.  “These are nice though.  It’s like a bit like a hotel.  But a really nice one.  There’s a butler and room service.  The president stayed here once.”
“That is like your king?”  Loki said.
“Kinda, yeah.”  You agreed.
“I suppose it will suffice then.”  He said sounding bored.  “Where is it you stay?  With the Avengers?”
You snorted.  “Me?  Hardly.  I’m in the dorms.”
“Dorms?”  Loki asked.
“Yeah, I have a tiny room and I share a bathroom with a whole floor of people.”  You said.
Loki laughed.  “What could you have possibly done to deserve that?”
“Hopefully nothing.  I’m just new.  Gotta do the hard work and prove myself.”  You said.  “Did you want to take a look at your suite or go take a look at where they will be building?”
“Let us continue walking,”  Loki said.
You lead him away from the building toward the forest and Fenrir bounded ahead of you.  “They would really build me a house just to keep me apart from them?”
You shrugged.  “Clint I guess.  He didn’t seem happy.”
Loki scowled.  “Yes, well… that is understandable.  Being mind controlled is not something easily forgiven.”
“Then why did you do it?”
He looked at you and raised an eyebrow.  “Are you under the impression we are friends?”
You chuckled.  “Right.  Of course not.  You do you.”
“I shall,”  He said, though there was a slight playfulness to his tone.
You stopped at a clearing where some construction barriers were starting to be erected.  “So this is where they plan to build.  You are free to choose anywhere in this rough area if you have a preference.  Steve said if you had special requests to let me know and I’ll pass them along.”
“I need a way for Fenrir to get in and out.”  He said.  “A fountain with running water.  A library.”
“Okay.  I’ll pass it along.”
He turned and looked at you.  “Why do they make my lodgings like this?  Why not put me in the dorms with your kind?”
You laughed at his choice of words and he scowled at you.  “I don’t know, Loki.  I guess they want you to feel comfortable so you don’t cause trouble.  Or maybe they just like your brother so much they figure if you’re happy, he’s happy.”
Loki tapped his fingers on his leg and looked over the plot of land.  “Would that I were anywhere but here.”
“They’d put you in the raft if you weren’t here.”  You said.
He laughed.  “They are welcome to try.  But I meant the planet.”  He whistled and Fenrir bounded over.  He lay down at Loki’s feet and Loki climbed up onto his back.  He offered you his hand.  “Care to take a ride?”
You looked back at the main part of the compound.  You had followed Steve’s instructions and you weren’t sure if you were supposed to babysit Loki now or just return to him.  The lure of riding the giant wolf was a little too much though and you gave Fenrir a pat before climbing up behind Loki.
“Hold on tight, dear,”  Loki said as Fenrir stood.  You wrapped your arms around his waist and held on as the wolf bounded into the forest with the two of you on board.
You squealed with delight as he practically flew through the trees, sending other animals running and birds flying up into the air.  He stopped a small clearing where a clear pool sat, a small river that had branched off the Hudson passing through it.  Loki slipped off Fenrir’s back and offered you his hands, helping you to the ground.
The wolf began drinking the water in the pool and then rolled around in the dirt.  “He’s like a big puppy isn’t he?”
“I have never heard him described as such.”
You laughed and went over to Fenrir and rubbed his chest, playfully pushing on his as he rolled around with his tongue lolling out.
“This gift of yours is very strong,”  Loki said.  “Tell me, if you are to be an Avenger are you a goody-goody like them?”
You turned and looked at him, watching as he looked you up and down.  “If you mean am I a goody-goody like the playboy, the guy who committed several felonies, and the ex assassins,”  You tilted your hand back and forth. “I’m probably slightly less chaotic.  But you know, I’ll get up to trouble.”
“Mm,”  He hummed coming closer to you.  “Best to leave the chaos to the experts.”
You looked up at him and smiled.  “You would know about that I suppose.”
He chuckled and ran his fingers down your arm.  “I guess I would.”  He teased.  “So you’d say you might be up for some fun?”
“Loki?  Are you propositioning me?”  You teased back.  “You don’t even know me.”
“Not as dim as you look.”  Loki taunted.
You laughed and grabbed him pulling him down towards you, his lips crashed into yours and he kissed you hungrily.  You were vaguely aware that maybe this was a bad idea.  Not that you hadn’t had random hookups before.  Your powers worked in weird ways and sometimes people were drawn to you and sometimes the draw of something a little unknown and exciting was a lot.   This was Loki though.  It was most assuredly a mistake. But it was a mistake you were willing to make.  Because it was Loki, and how could you pass this up?
Loki pushed you back against a tree and grabbed your thigh, pulling you tight and grinding into you.  You gripped the bark of the tree and moaned into his lips as you felt him stiffen in his leather pants.  The bulge rubbed against your clothed cunt, making you wet with arousal as it sent a warm tingle out through you.
He turned you suddenly and pulled you against him, grinding his cock against your ass.  You leaned back against him and he kissed your neck, humming softly.  “Rogers did me a favor getting you to show me around.”  He growled softly as he pushed his hand into your pants.  He long spidery fingers began to run in tight circles over your clit.
“Steve’s a smart man.”  You gasped grinding back against his cock.
He chuckled darkly and bit your throat before shoving you forward.  You braced your hands on the trunk as he yanked your pants down and pulled his cock out.  “You want this bad, don’t you, darling?”
“Yes, Loki,”  You moaned.  “Give it to me.”
He thrust deep into you, shoving you forward.  You grappled for purchase on the tree trunk and he began to fuck you.  He was large.  His cock stretched and filled you more completely than anyone had before.  He didn’t allow you time to adjust, he just grabbed the back of your neck and began to pound into you.  His other hand wrapped around your waist and he rubbed your clit hard and fast, matching the snap of his hips.  It was all you could do to hold on for the ride.  Your body shuddered as heat coiled through you.  You didn’t know what it was exactly.  The situation.  Him.  Whether being out in the open added to the pleasure you were feeling or he was just really good at what he did.  It was good though.  You came apart around him, your legs trembly and your muscles clenching.  With a sudden cry, you came, shuddering on his cock.  He didn’t ease up though.  In fact, it seemed to spur him on.  He fucked you harder, pushing you against the tree as he pounded into you.  You gripped at the bark and for a second time you came, biting into your fist to smother the cry.
Loki grunted and pulled out and jerked his cock quickly, holding you in place as he came over your ass in hot ribbons.
You moaned and relaxed, panting for a moment, trying to steady yourself in your post-orgasmic haze.  Loki pulled a piece of cloth from the air and cleaned you up.  “There you go.”  He soothed helping you to redress.
“Damn.”  You sighed, as you fastened your pants.
“Mmm… that was quite fun.  I wasn’t expecting that.”  He said.  “Maybe it won’t be so bad here after all.”
“So you’ll stay?”  You asked touching his chest.
He nodded.  “I will.  Perhaps we can do that again at some point.”
You smirked.  “We’ll see.”
You went back over to Fenrir and rubbed his head as he snuffled at you as Loki looked you over.  Alien wolves and ice giants. Your powers seemed to work on all kinds.
Unforeseen Chasm (Part 58)
Prompt: Two sisters fall for men that are absolute enemies. The love they have could tear all of them apart, or it could bring them together.
Word Count:1768
Warnings: Language, pain, grief, no sleeping or eating reader Song for this part: I’ll never love again- Lady Gaga Note: This is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written (including my novels). It’s a collaboration with the amazing @mrs-dragneel-stark-solo. It started as a funny “What if…?” and it evolved and got huge. This took two years to write. We are both proud and happy and we hope you enjoy it. It follows from Thor 1 to Endgame in the MCU. Some of the timelines may be off in order to fit certain people, and some characters may show up earlier or in different ways than they have in the movie. But for the most part, it follows the MCU. It also has a bit of crossover with some other Marvel characters throughout the story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When all was said and done, you were back at the Avengers compound.
Everyone remaining of the team had been gathered up. It appeared that Nat, Steve, Rhodey, Bruce, and Shannon were all still okay. Shannon was a relief, they all were really -- your friends, but Loki… Loki vanishing before you… that nearly killed you.
It’d been two days now.
Nat had tried to reach out to Clint multiple times with nothing. Shannon had tried sending a signal to Tony’s transponder endlessly since she boarded the jet back home and there was no response.
As for you, you were consumed with both grief and obsession. Thanos was alive, he was still out there somewhere, with the stones. You were in Shannon’s lab, searching. You began to try and trace the remnants of the stones. You started with the location of the snap and then went from there, trying to trace each stone. Part of the mind stone flowed in your veins, so you let the system take a bit of your blood, so that it could maybe find it somewhere on the planet, in the galaxy, in the universe. Thanos had to be somewhere.
You worked day and night. Shannon tried to get you to eat, as did Steve, but each time they came in, you simply muttered a vague response of not being hungry. Towards the end of the second day, Shannon was way past worried. Between wringing her hands on if Tony was alive, dead, or vanished and watching you spiral into madness, she was at her wits end.
“Y/N!” she barked when you refused a sandwich late at night. “This is quite enough! You need rest. You need sleep. Do you think Loki would want you killing yourself to find him?” she implored as she walked forward and tried to touch your shoulder.
Your eyes never left the map though as you continued working through physics equations, mathematical probabilities of where Thanos might’ve gone.
“Yes,” you muttered mindlessly, not really paying attention to her.
“No he wouldn’t! I didn’t know him as well as you, and we may have had our differences, but both of us love you and want you to be happy and healthy. Y/N… Y/N… Y/N!” She shouted, grabbing your shoulders and forcing you to look at her. Finally, the trance was broken. You were looking at her, paying attention to her, listening. “Do you see yourself? You’re a zombie. You’re entirely consumed with… with this! You’re not going to find him, and even if you do, what are you going to do? We lost… and that was with all of us. What do you think will happen?” she begged.
“I don’t care,” you defiantly said, pulling yourself from her grasp, going back to your work. “I will fight him alone if I have to. I have to get those stones back,” you muttered, falling back into the frenzy of madness, refusing to be rational.
“Y/N, come on, this isn’t healthy. You’re going out of your mind. You can’t face him alone. Loki wouldn’t want this.”
“Loki isn’t here!” you suddenly roared, dropping your pencil down. “He isn’t here! None of them are! Because of Thanos! Don’t you see? I have to find him! I have to! He’s taken everything from me. First, he took you, then he took all of my friends, now… Now he has literally taken the love of my life and most of my friends. Don’t you see I have to do this? I have to find him.” The mania had broken. Your eyes were alive with chaos and heartbreak. How did Shannon not see that Thanos needed to be stopped?
All she did was eye you with sorrowful pity before pulling you into a tight embrace.
“Killing yourself to find him won’t do it… We’ll take turns, yeah?” she offered with a smile as she pulled away. “I’ll stay up, run some numbers, watch the simulation… We can find him, but I want you to go get some sleep… Please? You can’t think correctly or find anyone on no sleep.”
Hesitantly, you agreed. She was right. You explained which probabilities you were running quickly before Steve offered to show you to a room. You thanked him as he put his hand on your shoulder and guided you.
-----------------------
You were lying in a room they’d made up for you, you think it was the one next to Wanda’s but at that moment in time, nothing mattered - not eating, drinking, or showering. You were tired. The grief made you tired, more tired than you think you’d ever felt in your life, but your obsession kept you going. Now that you’d actually laid down though, you were exhausted.
Grief hit you harder than any physical pain you’d ever endured. Which meant all of the things you needed to do to keep you alive and healthy vanished when Loki did. Your will to live had absolutely been obliterated.
Things had been rough all around. Everyone was still trying to find people they knew. Shannon had kept a front when the team was together but they all knew this was hitting her hard not knowing if Tony and the kid had been dusted or not.
Shannon walked into your room like she did every day to give you updates but this time around was different. After she went in she sat at the edge of her bed. Shannon had been busy looking for the people you all loved and cared for. You were tracking down the enemy. No one had found anything.
You moved the covers of your bed and patted the spot next to you. She got in and you both leaned close to each other. “How’s it going?” she asked, barely audible.
“You know exactly how it’s going,” you deadpanned, the tiniest hint of anger in your voice. You weren’t angry at her, per se, but angry at the situation and mad that she could think you were any better off than a few days ago. “How about you? Any word on Tony? Strange? Peter? Any of them?” you wondered, grasping for any kind of spark of hope or happiness.
“I know, I’m sorry.” She looked down at her hands wishing she could do more. “No. Still no word about either of them, the transponder is still not sending a signal.” She seemed to shrink down into the bed. “I wish there was some clue you know? I don’t even know if Parker is...if he’s—” She shut down a bit not wanting to think about the very real possibilities.
You reached over and grabbed her hand. “We will find them. Somehow.”
“There’s only so much hope we can have and I'm trying my hardest to keep strong for everyone, you know?” She squeezed your hand looking up at you. “They keep looking to me as if though I’m Tony and there’s that pager beeping with still no clue as to who it's meant for...”
“Because you’re just like him,” you said with the smallest of smiles. “That’s why he married you. You two are two peas in a pod. You're the idea people. You two share a brain, I swear. He moves, you move. He thinks of something and you finish the thought. If you have an idea, he helps make it a reality. You two are perfect for each other. But above all of that, you’re what usually holds this team together, Shan. They need you for guidance and ideas. Steve lost Sam and Bucky, and now with Tony… He has you and Nat, that’s it. The rest of them, they need you.”
Shannon looked up to you from her wedding ring. “I’m not sure I know what to do though...like you said part of my brain is missing and I’m scrawling to figure this out. I need your help Y/N/N, how do I do this? Where do I start, who can I question when there’s no clues?” She leaned her head on your leg, at some point moved so far down that she was practically covered by the duvet. “I just wish this was some sick joke or nightmare and that we’ll wake up to the guys walking in with breakfast for us after a long night of being at the lab.” Her voice cracked.
“Believe me, if wishes alone could’ve brought them back… they’d all be here by now by me alone.” You started to cry, your never ending habit lately. You swore you cried more than you breathed lately. “I miss him so much, you know? I wish I knew how to help you, Shan, I really do, but all I can think of is how to get to Thanos, how to maybe get everyone back and I… I’m not getting anywhere.” You sighed heavily. “I’m sorry I’m such a let down. I wished I could do one thing. I could’ve fought Thanos. I should’ve been fighting him. Not Steve and Bucky and you and Wanda. It should’ve been me. You told me to protect everyone… I didn’t do that. I failed you, I failed everyone.  Hell, I failed the whole universe.”
“No, Y/N/N, don’t think that! I wish we could both hide in here but I know Steve wouldn't let me.” She peaked from under the covers. “Feels like you can’t breathe? Like there’s a literal part that's not functioning right? There’s so many things I wish I had done differently, you know?” She pulled you closer to her. “I know we’ll find a way to bring them back. Just too much to handle right now.”
“I’m not so sure about that. I also think Steve knows better than to come bother me right now, he may lose his life over it. Not to mention, I’m not essential. I don’t think anyone would miss me if I were gone, besides you.” You sighed. “You wish you had done things differently?” You scoffed. “I let Thanos get away. I should’ve just left Proxima alone. I should’ve been guarding Vision, not Wanda. There are a million things I could’ve done differently to give us a different turn out. But most of the time, yeah… I can’t breathe.”
“I know,” she concurred, her voice thick.
You tried to swallow your sobs for just a moment before you turned to her and said, “But there is still hope for you. Don’t let go of that.”
“I’m trying not to, but it’s hard. And I have to lead this team, but I’m losing hope every minute Tony isn’t here.”

Triple Threat, Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Loki was heading to Knowhere with the real Loki, Bruce, Wanda, Natasha and Thor.
Darcy had wanted to go too, but Loki flat out refused to let her go. In-case it was dangerous, which it probably would be. He didn’t particularly trust the Collector, who they were going to see.
‘Wait, so you’re telling me that it’s possible for me and… the other guy, to become one at the same time?’ Bruce asked, eyes wide in surprise.
‘It sure is.’ Loki nodded. ‘Strength and size of the Hulk, but with your brains.’
‘That sounds terrifying.’ Wanda said.
‘Yeah, it really does. Please don’t do that, Bruce. I am NOT sharing a bed with Hulk.’ Natasha said, glaring at Loki.
‘Perhaps not the best idea if you and Nat are… dating.’ Loki laughed.
Loki told them all about more of his reality. The real Loki was sitting at the back, not really caring to hear about it. Wanda noticed and went over to sit next to him.
‘Are you ok?’ She asked him.
‘I’m fine.’ He said in a clipped tone.
‘You’re clearly not. Are you still annoyed at him for kissing Darcy?’
‘Of course I am.’ Loki hissed, but he sighed as he looked at Wanda. She was just trying to be friendly. ‘Apologies. I am just not happy there is another me going around, kissing my girl.’ He growled.
Wanda gave him a sympathetic smile and patted his arm. ‘He probably doesn’t want to be here just as much as you don’t want him to be here. But maybe you could both learn from one another? You are the same person, to an extent. You both tried to take over Earth, just diverted on different paths afterwards. You both redeemed yourself in the long run.’
Loki just grunted in response. She was right, but he didn’t want to admit it.
‘Or are you just jealous that you never thought of pulling the pranks he did when he arrived here?’ She grinned.
Loki narrowed his eyes at her. ‘They were pathetic pranks, I could do so much better.’ He huffed.
‘Course you could.’ Wanda laughed and went back to the front of the ship.
Loki stayed where he was, but he listened in to Loki’s stories until they arrived on Knowhere. Everyone was on high alert as they made their way to the Collector’s museum.
‘What exactly are we looking for?’ Loki asked Loki.
‘It’s a tracker that will locate every stone. But as far as I am aware, the Collector doesn’t know that. Or else he would have them all by now. So it needs to remain that way.’ Loki said firmly. ‘It looks like a necklace, it’s a gold chain with a diamond on the front. It can perform basic healing powers, too. So we need to hope that’s all the Collector thinks it is.’
Loki nodded. ‘Do we have a plan for buying it from him?’
‘I’ll go in alone. Well, with you under a guise as a guard. Everyone else, wait outside so he doesn’t wonder why I’ve taken an entourage with me. If anything goes wrong, I will send a signal for backup.’ Loki said.
‘Who put you in charge?’ Thor frowned.
‘This is my mission. Or do you have a better plan, brother?’ Loki sneered.
Thor looked at Loki. ‘Do you trust him, brother?’
Loki looked at Loki then back at Thor. ‘I do.’ He said, albeit reluctantly.
‘Fine. That’s good enough for me.’ Thor nodded.
Loki transformed into an Aesir guard, then he and Loki went into the museum while the others remained outside, on alert. They tried not to look too conspicuous while people passed by on their daily business.
As the two tricksters walked into the museum, Loki kept looking straight ahead, acting like a proper guard just escorting Loki. Loki looked around casually, hands behind his back and taking dramatically large steps as he studied some artefacts.
‘May I help you… Asgardian?’ Came a voice from the back of the museum.
Loki looked up and saw the Collector wandering down towards them, with a female from a different race behind him.
‘Ah, Collector.’ Loki grinned charmingly. ‘I am looking for a specific item, a necklace with healing properties, as a gift for my fiancé. I was told by some good associates that I’d find it here.’
The Collector raised an eyebrow and turned to the female behind him. She was wearing the necklace.
‘This, necklace?’ The Collector asked.
‘That’s the very one.’ Loki nodded. ‘How much do you want for it?’
‘It’s not for sale.’ The Collector said quickly, putting a finger up. ‘But I am sure I have other, beautiful jewellery that would be suitable for your fiancé.’ He motioned to a glass display behind him.
‘Everything has its price. I have gold and many credits I can give you.’ Loki offered, pulling out a small pouch that was filled with gold.
The Collector looked slightly intrigued, but shook his head. ‘No. As I said, not for sale.’
Loki clenched his jaw. ‘What would you want in exchange for it?’
The Collector frowned, looking at him warily. ‘Why are you so desperate for this necklace?’ He asked, moving in closer to Loki, into his space and glaring up at him.
‘Like I said.’ Loki growled. ‘I want it for my fiancé.’
Loki stepped in and put his arm out, to get the Collector to back up from Loki. The Collector glanced at the supposed Aesir guard and stepped back a bit.
‘As I said. It is not for’ He was interrupted when suddenly Hulk came bursting into the museum, roaring angrily and charging straight for the group.
With the Collector distracted, Loki quickly grabbed the necklace and ripped it off the female, thrusting the pouch of gold into her hands in return. The two Loki’s then teleported outside to Thor, Natasha and Wanda.
‘What the heck happened?’ Loki asked as he transformed back into himself.
‘A passer-by accidentally bumped into Bruce, he was already feeling anxious and antsy so Hulk just exploded.’ Wanda said quickly.
‘Get back to the ship. I’ll get Bruce.’ Thor said as he swung Mjolnir round and flew into the museum.
The team heard Hulk roaring and some explosions and loud bangs. They didn’t bother waiting to see what was happening, so they rushed back to the ship as quickly as they could.
‘Did you get the tracker?’ Natasha asked as they boarded the ship and she got it started up.
‘Yep. Hulk’s distraction was actually rather helpful.’ Loki said as he held up the necklace. Then he waved his hand over it and had it disappear for now.
‘Let’s get off this planet.’ Loki said as he closed the ships door.
‘Without Thor and Bruce?’ Wanda asked, looking slightly distressed.
‘They will catch up with us.’ Loki said and he joined Natasha at the front of the ship.
Natasha took off, they got up into the sky and started heading away from the city. But she didn’t break through the atmosphere yet, they gave Thor a chance to catch up. And luckily, he did. Just before they gave up hope.
Wanda opened the hatch underneath the ship and Thor flew in, carrying Bruce, who was wearing nothing but Thor’s cape after changing back.
‘Any trouble?’ Loki asked.
‘Just get us off this planet.’ Thor growled.
At that point, the Collector’s ship came up after them from behind.
‘Hold on!’ Natasha said as she steered the ship on and headed towards the nearest jump to take them back to Earth.
They managed to get away in time, only just. Both of the Loki’s helped by shielding the ship with their Seidr, to help keep the Collector from following them.
The team were all relieved when they got back to Earth in one piece. The rest of them were waiting in the kitchen for their return.
Darcy was so relieved to see that Loki was alright. She rushed straight to him, to the right one, and hugged him. ‘Glad you survived with your good looks still in-tact.’ She grinned up at him.
Loki chuckled and gave her a squeeze. ‘Would you not sleep with me if I wasn’t as good looking?’ He raised an eyebrow at her but with a smirk.
‘Hmmm… Probably not, unless your body was still as smokin’ hot as it is.’ She teased, making him chuckle again as he reached down and gave her bum a cheeky squeeze.
‘Eww. Get a room you two.’ Tony grimaced. ‘How did the mission go? Did you get the tracker?’ He asked, looking at Loki.
‘We did indeed.’ Loki had the necklace manifest in his hands and he held it up to show them.
‘It’s a necklace?’ Darcy frowned.
‘Well done, gold star.’ Loki drawled. ‘It also has healing properties for the wearer, and locates all the stones… with a little help of some magic.’ He headed to the island in the kitchen and placed it down as he took a seat.
The others all gathered around to watch.
Loki closed his eyes and put a hand over the top of it. He concentrated for a while, his Seidr energy growing, then the diamond on the necklace started to shake and there was a small beam that spouted up from it. Like a hologram, it was a map of the entire Universe.
There were seven glowing red dots in multiple places.
Steve frowned. ‘Why is there seven? I thought there was only six infinity stones?’
‘There is, six of them are your stones from your reality, hopefully where they should be. One of them is the reality stone from my reality.’ Loki said as he concentrated on the map.
‘That’s Vormir, so that will be the soul stone. There’s Asgard, where I’m assuming the space stone is?’ Loki looked at Loki and Thor.
Loki nodded.
‘That’s where we’ve just been, at the Collector’s museum, so there’s your reality stone.’
‘What? Wait a minute. Are you telling me you were within reach of the reality stone?’ Tony snapped.
Loki glanced over his shoulder at him, annoyed he was interrupting. ‘Yes. But before you say it, no. The reality stone from your timeline is not what I have come for. I need the one from mine.’ He grumbled at him then continued. ‘That is Xander, so if I recall correctly, that should be the power stone. The mind stone, well.’ He motioned to Vision who was stood opposite him.
‘And there is another on Earth. In New York?’ Loki looked around at the team.
‘Doctor Strange should have the time stone.’ Tony confirmed.
‘Alright. So that just leaves…’ Loki trailed off, looking slightly confused.
‘What? Where is the reality stone?’ Darcy asked, looking at the hologram but she couldn’t quite make it out the same from where she was stood.
‘This map shows it’s… it’s just hovering in space?’ Loki said, just as confused as the rest of the team.
