Magic, Strategy, and War in The Ravenglass Throne
A kingdom isn’t just built on steel and magic. It thrives—or falls—on the relationships that bind it together. In The Ravenglass Throne, this plays out through military might, political intrigue, and the mystical bonds that shape the future of Ostreich. The Ravenglass Network: Strength and Fragility At the centre of Ostreich’s power lies the ravenglass network. This isn’t just a tool of…

Malleus Draconia versus Ortho Shroud
It seems some people are surprised at Malleus’ actions? That he destroyed the robot dogs and almost destroyed Ortho.
But I would like to point out that Malleus has always been like this; very protective of his loved ones.
For example: In Lilia’s PE vignette, he nearly took Rook’s head off because he thought Rook was trying to hurt Lilia.

Then we come to book 7, chapter 7 update.
Yes, he destroyed the dogs and almost Ortho but remember Malleus is protective of his loved ones.
Malleus OBed because he wants his loved ones happy and Ortho is a threat to that, so of course he’s going to destroy any threats to them and Ortho basically labeled himself as such.
Now I want to bring up a point that I don’t see many talk about?
Malleus understood Ortho’s explanation about how Ortho woke up and how he was able to penetrate the barrier.
Ortho described himself as immortal basically because he can transfer his data to any body, which Malleus understood as transferring vessels.
This is when Malleus finally took the steps to destroy Ortho. Not because he wanted to kill him, but because he knew that Ortho would still live and transfer himself to another body.
Did Ortho feel fear? Yes because Orth doesn’t like lightning and that’s one of Malleus’ powers but think about it.
Feeling fear is an emotion no one wants to repeat. Malleus acknowledged that Ortho might be feeling fear
With Malleus knowing that Ortho can feel such things, Malleus told Ortho he would end him swiftly because in a way that is an act of kindess isn’t it? To end it quickly rather than prolonging the fear.
But at the same time he knows that Ortho will live and remember this emotion, and that’s what Malleus wants, so Ortho would be too scared to try again.
Malleus is protective of his loved ones and he always has been.
While his actions might seem as if he’s out of control, he isn’t. He understood in his own way what Ortho explained to him before making his move.
He didn’t attack because he’s raging but made a more calculative move on his end to stop Ortho, one that he would make repeatedly if need be, since he knows that Ortho can transfer bodies.

Annabeth calling Percy and Grover from some lair she got stuck in because she got curious about something she was told so many times to stop being curious about, so now they gotta go get her, and afterwards Grover sits her down for a lesson on prey animal common sense. Annabeth trying to explain that she is not a goat. Grover pressing his finger to his mouth, gently shushing her before continuing on
Also Percy explaining that this is why he has to follow her on things because she is the cat and curiosity is always ready to kill her. Him gesturing erratically while Grover is setting up his presentation because "Sometimes I wanna follow Grover, Annabeth! But I can't because you keep arguing your way into danger! So I have to follow you down the dark spooky tunnel instead of hanging out with my best friend in the land of rainbows and sunshine"
"what if the land of rainbows and sunshine is a trap"
"I GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW BECAUSE YOU KEEP GOING TO THE EFFING TUNNEL"

@serenpedac yes! (and thank you for the excuse to ramble further about Holland lol)
the most direct/short answer is that Holland's favorite/most long-term nanny, Anežka, taught her when she was little. Anežka often called her "beruška" (ladybug) as a pet name, and Holland, naturally, was interested in not only what that word meant, but what other ones she could learn. I like to think tiny!Holland would have felt a bit like it was a kind of secret language between them, because I can't imagine she knew many (or, more likely, any) other Czech speakers in rural Michigan!
the more ill-formed, rambly answer is that several years ago I went down a rabbit hole writing childhood/teenage Holland snippets as a developmental exercise for fleshing out more of her lore, which resulted in a folklore rabbit hole (i.e., deciding what type of supernatural(s) she might have unknowingly encountered as a kid), detoured into Slavic myths, and then ended up in Czech fairy tales🤷🏼‍♀️
Also! I didn't screenshot your other tag question, but the woman in the collage is actress Lucy Boynton, who is indeed her faceclaim (this is probably weirdly specific lol but something about the way she rolls her eyes is peak Holland energy to me. Like I saw a gif once and my brain immediately latched onto it and now here we are).

Hi, in the current crowley combat event I don't understand why some cards get bonus HP after battles?
Yo,
You're talking about cards with their HP buddies in the team.
If a card has his HP buddy present, the extra HP gained will be depleted before his real HP value. You can think of it like a shield protecting your character from actual damage. Plus, as long as the HP buddy is still in the team, this shield will always be present, even if it was depleted in the previous battle.
Take a look at this team: everyone has their HP buddy here minus Leona-senpai. You can see the pink heart icon next to the characters as proof.
Tumblr media
The battle did a good chunk of damage. Those ghosts are pretty good when they put the effort... As you can see below, everyone with an HP buddy had a shield to mitigate the damage. Leona will have to rest up for a bit though.
Tumblr media
Watch out though: HP buddies are calculated based on a percentage of your character's actual HP. This means that your shield will be strong when at full health, but pretty useless at very low health. Try to find out more or less how much damage you can take without getting hit where it really matters. Heals and power drains will help, but try to end the fight as soon as possible too.
Good luck!

Data from Vault 95 confirms that The Chair is not a magical-fix-all-your-problems machine — at the very least, it can’t cure the psychological side of chem dependency. It’s not stated in Cait’s quest because of fo4’s aversion to loose ends, but her story definitely isn’t over. (She references this if you do drugs in front of her afterwards.)
I think the next step for Cait is going to have to be expanding her circle of trust past The Player Character (All Hail). The Sole Survivor is wonderful and their relationship is lovely, but they have a lot on their plate, what with being responsible for every political and personal issue in all of Boston.
But… the team has a former addict on it! It’s Deacon! (Unless he was lying. Honestly it’s 50-50. We’ll assume for now that he wasn’t.) We also know that Hancock is really supportive about addiction! I really like the thought that he stops doing/talking about drugs around Cait (or Mama Murphy)(or the kids for that matter). Preston and Piper aren’t bad about it either. Other companions… well, we don’t see how they handle it past the intervention stage. I’m sure they try.
If I knew more about addiction, I’d write about how Cait handles it all. But I definitely do want to write more about the companions supporting each other, because the game’s limitations leave a lot of room to explore that.
