Marvel will release a set of “Marvel Super Stories” variant covers that will begin in October. The theme for these is essentially “Marvel characters reading Marvel comics,” and it starts with Thor reading a copy of G.O.D.S. #1 on the cover of Immortal Thor #3 by Giuseppe Camuncoli.

Marvel Super Stories
This is a book for the general public / middle graders published by a book publisher, not Marvel Comics. I'm THRILLED to see Namor on the cover and with a story! Besides the movies and games, this is how Namor gets introduced to the next generation who, TBH, just don't read floppy comics. It takes it's title from Spidey Super Stories, which may hint at the vibe and audience they are going for. The famous and fabulous, Namor and Doom tooting horn, comes from Spidey Super Stories.
"Marvel Comics is an institution that has inspired so many imaginations across the world, including my own. With Marvel Super Stories we get to continue that legacy, presenting the best and brightest creators coupled with the most marvelous heroes.”
Creators with stories in the book include:
Black Panther: Jerry Craft (New Kid)
Wiccan: Mike Curato (Flamer)
Miles Morales Spider-Man: C. G. Esperanza (Soul Food Sunday)
Iron Man: John Gallagher (Max Meow)
Shang-Chi: Gale Galligan (The Baby-Sitters Club)
The Hulk: Chris Giarrusso (G-Man)
Spider-Man: Nathan Hale (Nathan Hale’s Hazardous Tales)
Captain America: Michael Lee Harris (Choco Leche)
Hawkeye: Ben Hatke (Zita the Spacegirl)
Ms. Marvel: Priya Huq (Piece by Piece: The Story of Nisrin’s Hijab)
Daredevil: John Jennings (Kindred: The Graphic Novel Adaptation)
Thor and Loki: George O’Connor (The Olympians)
Namor: Lincoln Peirce (Big Nate)
Squirrel Girl: Maria Scrivan (Nat Enough)
Ghost Spider: Jessi Zabarsky (Witchlight)
Together, this incredible roster of cartoonists delivers a new kind of Marvel story for readers young and old alike, and introduces a new audience to the Marvel Super Hero magic that can transport you to the world outside your window."
Marvel Super Stories will be released on October 17, 2023

For those that don't follow middle grade comic books, Lincoln Peirce is a big name in the category. His books are very popular at my library.

*slides piece of paper over to you*
I’m looking for this post
not any reblogs, the original post
thank you if you do decide to look at it!
now, this post seemed like a pretty standard, run-of-the-mill case. i was bein' asked to track down a post about DC villains. however, this was a caveat. my client was askin' about the original post with no reblogs. certainly a challenge, considerin' the blog mentioned in the request seemed to have been deactivated. so, i took to google and asked for the first little bit of the post. it gave me a link to the post, however, it included reblogs. and i wasn't about to be lazy here. thankfully, however, the blog mentioned wasn't deactivated. they just swapped their username. from there, i was easily able to grab the original post with no reblogs.
you handed me a challenge, and i dare i say i delivered. here's your post! have a great day!
Post Case: Closed

the sentiment "if youre dissatisfied with ~representation~ in media, make youre own content" (both in the negative and "postive" way) is so fucking annoying like! i dont want to be in a position where i HAVE to make everything myself! whats worse is that there Are people out there who have these ideas and stories fleshed out and if its a book they may be able to get published or self publish, but visual media? a movie? a show? a play? like fuck man i dont doubt that someone out there has already written the black scifi epic of my dreams but maybe theyve been rejected over a dozen times and gave up. maybe they couldnt afford to self publish. maybe they couldnt find or pay for an editor. maybe no producers would back them. maybe they dont have enough connections to even know where to begin. or maybe they dont have any fucking time or energy because of work and the everpresent racism of society. who knows! but the bottom line is goddamn! i dont want to do everything "myself" because 1.) i shouldnt be guilted into thinking that its somehow my fault or my community's fault for "not caring enough" to write about ourselves and 2.) there are no doubt hundreds upon hundreds of people who did make the content they wanted to see and it didnt ever go beyond their circle bc no one in Any indutry would consider supporting it. like fuck man.

I know 'person with secret to hide spots other person with secret to hide but doesn't say anything' is like. Thee trope in superhero crossovers, but come on! Some of these guys have been doing this for decades! There's tons of heroes that have gone to pretty extreme lengths to be Completely Imperceptible in civilian life.
Don't you think it's scarier, after all is said and done, to sit there and think I didn't notice a thing? I wouldn't have ever realised? I would never have known? To know that someone you were familiar with - close with, even! - had this whole other personality and skillset and powers and experiences and life just behind the curtain, and they hid it so completely you didn't even see it was there.
'I always knew there was something off' what if you didn't. How world shaking would it be to be so utterly blindsided? To know that this person had somehow learned to so deceptive?
