On-demand apps are the budding future of mobile app development companies across the globe. Estimation states that around $58 billion value is spent on the on-demand app development services annually alone in the USA.
This figure gave business investors a very strong and valid point to invest in on-demand mobile app development. Are you pondering to build an on-demand mobile app solution? If yes, then you have arrived at your destination, we have curated a list of must-have features that you can include in your custom on-demand service apps.
Features to Include in On-Demand Service App
On-demand app development companies use these 7 essential and advanced features to gain the attention of a massive worldwide user base.
1. Search and Filter Feature
One of the most important features included by the best app development companies in the USA is the search option to easily find what users are looking for in the app based on their location, availability, or applied criteria. After applying multiple filters, the data narrows down in size leading to relevant results.
2. Security and Authentication
An essential feature that should be included in an on-demand app development solution is strong security and authentication services, ensuring user’s data and information are secured and kept private. The apps should have a clear and concise privacy policy and security protection against cyber threats or unauthorized access.
3. Push Notifications
To keep users updated about relevant information, version updates, or deals and offers, these push notifications can also be used to help drive engagement and enhance app usage. On-demand mobile app development must have this feature to provide reassurance to service app users of their bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and other updates.
4. Real-Time Tracking and Navigation
A feature to keep users informed about the real-time location and live status of their order or booked service. For user convenience, on-demand app development companies could include this feature to provide a hassle-free and seamless experience through a GPS tracking system built into the app.
5. In-app Payment Management
Having numerous robust payment gateways is a must-have feature for any on-demand app development services to ensure secure, flexible, and diverse payment management in the app without switching to any other payment application. Includes cash on delivery, net banking, credit card, debit card, etc. as acceptable payment modes.
6. Review & Rating Option
To increase customer satisfaction, authentic and genuine user reviews, and rating features are used by various mobile app development companies in service apps. That helps other new users to make an informed decision about choosing that particular service.
7. Supportive Customer Care
The best mobile app development companies in the USA provide users with strong and instant customer care services. Improving user base satisfaction through solved queries, questions answered, and quick communication through email, phone, chatbot support, messaging, etc.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, on-demand service apps are levelling up with the addition of advanced features as they ensure a convenient and efficient way for users to access app services. To stand out as the best in the competition, on-demand mobile app development should have these above-mentioned features.
Looking for a mobile app development company? Codiant is one of the leading mobile app development companies that can help you create a custom on-demand mobile app solution with ultimate features to outshine the industry. Revision is important! (I think)
Hello to each and every reader, and hello to future me!
I remember studying the tiniest amount of other programming languages, and then burning out really fast and forgetting all of the material, so now I'm making an effort to revise what I'm learning, which is great timing because the next step on the android course thingy is practicing with compose!
But in regards to actual progress, I didn't manage to do much today.
I got a bit stuck doing the practices, but before I look at the solution code, I'll give it another shot tomorrow once I'm well rested.
I'm starting to think that if I keep making such small steps forward, there's no chance I'll have anything functional in a month or so. But, I keep reminding myself that I signed up for the app development contest as an excuse to learn something I otherwise wouldn't. So, if I don't meet the deadline, I'll just ignore it and continue learning at my own pace.
That's all for now, cya tomorrow! :D

Not sure where to ask this, so im posting here as well as some forums BUT:
Basically I really love using Figma for making interactive menus. I have used Figma for mocking up websites and mobile apps before at my job, and in my odd time I’ve taken to using figma to prototype and make sketches of things like UI and flowcharts for the game my friends and I are developing. And even more recently I prototyped a fully custom, nice-looking, interactive character sheet for my character in the current campaign im playing.
Now, It’s got me thinking: I would really, really love to build custom character sheets for people as a side job as its something i genuinely enjoy doing. But the problem is, figma will not exist forever and I have foreseen that it might be a pain to build someone a prototype and I am the sole person to make updates whenever their character levels, they get new gear etc and I don’t really like the idea of forcing people to make an account for a tool they wont want to learn or use outside of the prototype i send them. Additionally, Figma prototype is ultimately not ideal for more distinguished and specific character sheets as I’d like for it to be.
For example, I would love to make buttons that a user can tap to mark how many death saves they have succeeded or failed, I want the user to be able to mark for inspiration and conditions, etc. I know I could possibly feasibly make it work all inside one scrollable frame, but the way I prefer to set up the character sheets requires navigating to different frames with buttons.
What other good alternatives are there? I like to make these character sheets for mobile use (phones and tablets) so should I jump to app development? I don’t mind learning new or more complicated softwares, just as long as the software is free, there’s a free trial long enough for me to learn the gist of the software, a single larger purchase for a license for a good amount of features, or the cost for subscription is low. Is Godot a good software to use for this? My team is learning godot anyway for our game as we were discouraged from Unreal Engine.

My younger sibling literally blocked my phone number because we got into an argument over capitalism ???
Wow I reached the tag limit on this post
Beware a long vent in the tags lmao
#shitpost#vent#(in the tags)#her indifference to the world and willingness to participate in the corrupt parts of society pisses me off#if she found out the developers of a mobile app she likes were actually xenophobic or smth she wouldn't even care bc it doesnt affect her#she would rather stay ignorant and harm others than accept that some things she likes have bad impacts on the world#even ai. which arguably DOES affect her bc shes creative. but she just doesnt see how it harms her bc its not an active type of harm#its just in the background closing in on you#even if her own stuff was stolen by ai she just WOULDNT FUCKING CARE#and it makes me mad!!!#shes so ignorant. to the world and also to others#if she doesnt understand something she doesnt care#if she doesnt understand why i use it/its or he/him then she just. doesnt use them for me#and then if i confront her says “well you didn't tell me”#LIKE. I WEAR A LANYARD WITH MY PRONOUNS ON IT. HOW FUCKING HARD CAN IT BE TO JUST. LOLK AT MY LANYARD#agh this got off topic#anyways. my point is she makes me mad#goddd the way she sees capitalism#she called me dumb for “not understanding business”#and i said anyone who DOES understand business knows it's crap and capitalism is awful#and she just got mad and blocked my number#her problem is that shes STUBBORN. and she hates being corrected.#and shes so insistent on being an ally. shes literally part of the lgbtq community.#but her problem is that she doesnt care enough.#she rants to me about Trump being stupid. but not in a “im worried abt the trans ppl in our country” way#in a “lmao hes dumb i can't believe hes so stuuuupid” way#she doesnt get it#to her it's like. the aesthetic and moral highground of being an ally. but without actually caring#its one thing to joke a bit but its another to joke while also ignoring the issues#UGH SHE PISSES ME OFF SO BAD

Progress update: stuff
I've been pretty quiet lately because I've been slowly working on an android app of my own outside of work. Still a long way to go before it's finished, but baby steps.
It's an app where you can make custom beading patterns easily with mobile UI in mind. The only other one I've seen on the android store was this really old one with only two stars because they hide 90% of the features behind a paywall while calling it a free app.
While I like using the Beadographer website it has its limits and is designed for computers in mind rather than touch screens. Trying to use it on a phone can be a bit annoying.
Right now I have a basic grid set up for square stitch and loom stitch with the ability to select colors, color/clear beads on tap, add rows/columns, and pan/zoom in using two finger touch. I plan on adding more features including the following:
Drag your finger over several beads to color them at once rather than have to tap them individually.
Templates for several styles including peyote, brick, herringbone, right angle weave, different circular peyote stitches, and others.
Auto save patterns in progress.
Can store multiple patterns.
Create and save custom colors to use between projects.
Tools like undo/redo, rotate the canvas, select and drag, color picker, image import, and mirror.
Export patterns as png files.
Available different kinds of beads (toho, miyuki, etc)
I know this isn't most peoples' cup of tea but I'm really excited to try and complete this, and maybe even get it on the app store :D
My biggest worry is how I'm going to handle the circular peyote patterns since they don't conform to grids as easily as other styles would due to increases. The rest seems easy enough albeit long and tedious to develop and test for everything.

Hello Peko,i came here to offer to cook you any meal you desire. So if you want anything, just ask me.^^
-@teruteru-mama-boy
Thank you. I will keep it in mind. A good meal is essential. And, unlike Fuyuhiko... I am not particularly acquainted with higher class meals... Perhaps I can let myself treat myself... Or you treat me, I suppose...

flight rising needs a mobile app so badly and any time someone tries to suggest it in their forums a swarm of joyless gatekeepers explain condescendingly how it's too much resources. and it's like having the game easily portable with a interface actually meant for my phone is infinitely more exciting than a new type of dragon or familiar rollout I don't mind if it takes a lot of resources if it makes daily play of the game feasible for people who don't have infinite time at an unfirewalled computer

It’s been a while since I’ve been here — but I’m back (i hope). All this time I was working on an app, and it’s finally out there!✨
So, meet Achiever Flashcards 🎉
Since I’m constantly learning things, so I have to memorise A LOT, but as an artist I can’t stand the visual design of Anki, and other apps that I found had different issues, so I couldn’t find one that would work for me and convinced my team to made our own. And we really made it✨ (I still can’t believe it myself, but everybody on iOS can download it!).
We’re currently solving issues with Google Play, so it will be available for Android as soon as possible (I guess early November).
I’ve learned a lot in past 6 months, and even more is waiting ahead. I hope I’ll manage it all (like I have a choice, haha…)
Anyways, thank you for reading this, and I hope you’ll try my app out — and if you do, give me some feedback please! ♥️

Back to going forward!
Hello to all of the wonderful people reading this, and a hello to future me!
I'm back I think! I had a few days where i couldn't get started, and to be honest my last few progress updates were exaggerated, I couldn't get myself to study, and when I did, I would just read a sentence or two and walk away.
But today, I managed to ACTUALLY progress a bit. It was still difficult to start, but when I did, time just flew by (after posting this I'm going straight to bed).
Tumblr media
I've been taking my time learning this, because I really want to grasp all of the concepts, and I would say it's going pretty well! (even though the concepts aren't that difficult yet lol)
Lambda expressions blew my mind honestly, if I was any better with words I would write multiple paragraphs here about how happy I am that after learning how to program from the beginning but never getting any further than the basics far too many times to count, to finally get to a concept that I didn't know anything about before.
Since today's study session was longer than usual, I drank 2 teas in bigger-than-average mugs, 1 mint and 1 apple & cinnamon, and 1 coffee in a normal sized mug. I don't think I've said it before, but I'm pretty sure it's easy to guess that I love hot beverages. :)
Also, I'll try to post 1-3 times a week, since daily posts would get old quick. I'll still do my best to study daily tho!
Thanks for reading! cya! :D
