I feel into temptation and made a shadowpeach AU 

The Trapped Lantern AU

Basically it play on the fact/concept of in the season 2 episode "shadow play" where Macaque trapped Pigsy, Tang, and Mei within the lantern.

And here we are.

This AU does have it that Wukong and Macaque have not meet prior to MK finding the lantern, so the whole thing with Macaque’s death will be a bit tough to work with but I’ll make that a problem for future me. I mostly want it be that Wukong and MK attempt to figure out how to release Macaque from his little prison while along the way Wukong and Macaque getting to know each other and falling for each other n’ such.

For some restating from the pic:

Macaque was trapped within the lantern after being tricked by a demon (a icey one) when said demon had offered him another chance at life. When MK finds said lantern (basically after the first few episodes of s1) and brings it to Wukong thinking that he might have some idea of what it is due to the energy that’s practically oozing from the lantern. When neither of them can come up with a suitable answer for the lantern’s power, it’s left with Wukong for safe keeping; until one quiet day (s1 episode when Macaque is introduced) and the shadow finally reveals himself.

That’s all I have at the moment, hope this was a decent bite into what I have in store.

It's All Coming Back

fic Summary:

MK and Bai He attend the same camp and find out they were adopted by the same people -Macaque and Wukong. They then embark on an effort to get their divorced parents to at least be civil to each other, but lingering feelings make that harder than they imagined. However not all the lingering feelings are negative and love begins to rekindle. But throw in the fact that Wukong was and is already dating someone else and you’ve got a soap opera amount of drama.

This is a “The Parent Trap” AU with a few differences but the main plot line is the same.

Chapter summary: It's All Coming Back

Macaque and Wukong are reverting to old habits and it's rubbing a certain lion demon the wrong way.

something about wukong (who doesn't have any memories either because. It's safer that way y'know. Or whatever) waking up trapped and alone. Stuck in a not corporeal state with no idea how he got there, who he is, and what's happening to him right now. All alone. With no one to talk to. Not knowing if there even IS someone else out there. But deep inside knowing you're trapped, one way or another.

And then, when you connect to someone else, it turns out there's so much more to the world. There's so much he should be able to see and experience but he can't and doesn't even know why. He could bear his existence before because he didn't know anything else. But then he learned and it's like his eyes have opened for the first time.

The connection can't be held forever though, so eventually he's alone again but it's not the same. Because he knows now.

A glamour is a magic spell that changes/cover your appearance. Like in the show macaque should technically have 6 ears. for animation purposi I guess they are not drawing all of them, but we say he uses a glamour also for covering his scarred eye.

mmmmmm---- I think Wukong. Freenoodle is pretty chill with the DBK family after everything that happened. Mac is also quite alright since he was always in good relationship with them. I would say Wukong would just want to be sure his kid doesn't get hurt by the fire in any way

So the thing is that MK is hearing the past from both POVs. Macaque by definition can hear ANYTHING so yeah he could definitely experience MKs memories. But the thing is-does he want to? I headcanon that his future-present-past hearing abilities are something he only used a couple of times, and because what he heard from them was so traumatic, he decided to NOT use them again (like wukong laser eyes)

So- *sigh* technically, we don't really know MK immortality status. it's a grey area for now. Because on one side, he's a stone monkey, who, by nature like Wukong, can perfectly age and grow like a normal monkey. On the other hand, he's technically died already, and by the time he was created by Nuwa, both his biological fathers were already immortal (Wukong bc yes, Macaque because he's a demon, and he can die from wounds and illness, but can't age)

So to answer: we don't know yet what's with him. we will see (I promise that)

MK can't make the same clones macaque has. He can control a little bit his own shadow, and use that as a clone. so as long as it's his own shadow, it's more Mac area, if it's his own hair clone then it's Wukong's

Yes they know about them. No they aren't his kids let's say. My own personal headcanon for the Au (or the show in general) is that they are both Macaque shadow, like- clones with a little bit of personality just like MK clones represent specific parts of his personality. He has 2 of them because he lived 2 lives, one before and one after he was brought back to life.

Maybe bc Wukong should technically have canonically too much knowledge about general illness to be worried about normal daily life illness. If it was something more life-threating. Maybe yes, but I still have to cook.

This means Mac has been through exactly what he is telling them not to do and knows the pain, sorrow and trauma that comes from feeling abandoned like this. They may be facing their past hurting their own kid through proxy and try to help him fight against the trauma. Finally finished Trapped Lantern AU Sun Wukong

Not too much is different, other than he's kinda the unofficial "guard" of the Shadow Lantern thanks to MK basically giving it to him for safe keeping while Wukong figures out what is the significance of the lamp.

Most of his days now consist of training MK, launching about while eating Peaches or peach flavored things, tendinging to his monkeys, and keeping a close eye on the mysteriously glowing Lantern MK gave him.

It doesn't help that food goes missing and his monkeys all talk about a "creature" slithering around at night.

"Macaque! You can't hide forever!" Wukong shouted out- and then stood in silence, ears twitching as he listened to the surrounding seemingly empty forest. This whole searching-for-the-culprit thing would be so much easier if he was the one with the six ears, but...

Vision flickering gold, Wukong scanned the area as he took a few steps forwards, tail swishing with agitation.

There. A faint flickering in the shadows was all it took.

Wukong leapt onto the shadow of a nearby tree, reaching in with both arms- ignoring the attempts to smack his hands away as he grabbed hold of Macaque and pulled him out. Macaque blinked for a moment, registering how Wukong was glaring at him-

And then he started giggling, the purple glow surrounding him reflecting off of the silver and purple glitter that currently covered Wukong.

Wukong let out a huff of irritation... and then shifted, so that he was now trapping Macaque in something more similar to a hug, lifting the other's feet off the ground.

"You think this is funny huh?" He asked, a dangerous glint in his eye, "Well, if you wanna laugh..."

Macaque realized what Wukong was planning to do just a second too late.

"Wukong, waIT-" Macaque let out a high pitched yelp, as Wukong started nibbling on the shadow monkey's neck. Almost immediately Macaque went from giggling to full out laughter, glow increasing in intensity as he kicked his legs and squirmed, trying to get out of Wukong's grip. "St-stop that! Let- let go!!"

Wukong didn't stop- in fact, he continued nibbling until he suddenly found Macaque slipping out of his grip, the other having turned himself intangible, dropping down into a shadow and then reappearing on a tree branch above the Monkey King.

Wukong looked up at him with one raised eyebrow, then smirked and blew a kiss at him. Macaque's fur bristled with flustered agitation, and he turned away, digging through his pockets-

"Don't you dare." Wukong's eyes narrowed into a glare- but that still wasn't enough to stop Macaque from throwing another glitter bomb directly into the Monkey King's face.

Seriously @semisolidmind, I've been so drawn into your bad end wukong AU, I had no idea yandere monkeys could be so compelling

But yeah, this is kind of a hypothetical final scene of lmk where yandere sun wukong is finally defeated (probably trapped in the scroll) and our heroes get their happy ending: mac gets the life hes always wanted with reader, reader is free from wukong, and big bro MK gets family (a non-villain dad, a mom, and a baby sis)

Parent Trap Chapter 8: Avoiding the Mess

fic Summary:

MK and Bai He attend the same camp and find out they were adopted by the same people -Macaque and Wukong. They then embark on an effort to get their divorced parents to at least be civil to each other, but lingering feelings make that harder than they imagined. However not all the lingering feelings are negative and love begins to rekindle. But throw in the fact that Wukong was and is already dating someone else and you’ve got a soap opera amount of drama.

This is a “The Parent Trap” AU with a few differences but the main plot line is the same.

Chapter summary:

Macaque confronts Wukong about him running away and there's some bonding for these emotionally repressed monkeys.
