Johnny decided to do chill streams once in a while.

This time, he decided to bring in some special guests- The Lin Kuei Brothers. Bi Han thought it was a waste of time. But he joined anyway. Kuai Liang said sure, why not? Tomas was overjoyed. He was a fan of Johnny's movies! To be on stream with him? This was going to be great.

At this point of time, Johnny was doing something, so he couldn't read the chat. He got Bi Han to do it.

Bi Han said nothing and looked at it. ...People sure had alot to say about that orphan.

Bi Han: Tomas, people are saying alot of stuff about you.

Tomas: Oh really? :D What did they say?

Oh Boy.

Bi Han: "They said Tomas looks like my math teacher." "Tomas looks like he's pushing 47" "Tomas looks like Elon Musk" "Tomas looks old" "Tomas looks like he get's senior benefits"

Now Johnny was laughing. Kuai Liang is looking away, trying his hardest not to laugh in his poor brother's face.

Tomas' smile begins to fade into a look of distraught.

Bi Han doesn't care, matter of fact, he's smiling right now as he reads the comments.

Bi Han: "Tomas looks like my grandad." "Tomas looks like he has a Facebook page" "Tomas looks like he complains on Twitter" "That's not Smoke, that's gas" "That's not Smoke, that's water vapor." "Tomas looks like he plays Bingo with Madam Bo."

And that was it. Johnny died. He's on the floor trying to breathe and crawling. Kuai Liang couldn't hold it in anymore. He's still looking away from everybody. Tomas' heart is shattered, but Bi Han keeps going.

Bi Han: "Tomas looks ugly." "Tomas the train" "Tomas looks the oldest." Yeah. A whole bunch of them.

Kuai Liang: Now you know you didn't need to read all of that- You know wrong for that!

Bi Han: He said he wanted to know what the comments said, so I read them. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. Do you want me to read all of them?

No one says anything.

Bi Han: I'm going to the bathroom.

There were way more positive comments about Tomas than what Bi Han made it sound like. Hell, some of them were even thirsty. Things that will get Johnny banned if he reads them.

Bi Han's just cold hearted. :/

I like Kung Lao, and Raiden is a good foil to him. Their dynamic is good.

Final thoughts: Kung Lao's really fun as a character and Raiden's substantial enough to be a good foil. I like their dynamic, they should host a podcast together (as should Johnny and Kitana). Madam Bo is the best and I adore her. I hope she survives to kick some more ass and serve some more tea. Was hoping to see more from Team Umgadi tbh, especially since Kitana's said exactly one line in the story cutscenes.

Actually really surprised that the Lin Kuei turned out to be glorified goons and that Smoke of all people was so hostile.

I swear to god if I see untagged MK1 spoilers because of a leak or some shit I'm going to be Pissed. I did not preorder premium edition just to have the story spoiled for me three months in advance.

i'm a casual fan so my opinion is whatever but like....what the fuck was that 3rd act of the story for mk1. like...seriously?? it started off so strong and i was genuinely interested in the characters and the story. i even had sympathy for characters i never even gave much thought to like baraka and reptile, given how they developed their backstories and such. and then...seriously after sindel dies, it all goes downhill so fucking fast? they take the same tired multiverse path and it all just felt like such a joke with that final battle at the end. like "haha look at all these fusioned characters...isn't janet cage so funny" and i was seriously just wanting it to end, whereas before sindel dies i was so into the plot and how the characters were developing. honestly it went from like a 10/10 story to a 3/10 at the end. the main reason why i got interested in mk1 was because i heard it was gonna be like a reboot of the timeline but turns out it was....whatever that 3rd act mess was. can we stop with the multiverse BS please like let's all be a bit more original!!!!

Mortal Kombat ended up being a fun movie. There were some plot holes that, hopefully, were a lot easier for diehard fans of the franchise to fill in than they were for me. Like I said before this is my first time consuming any sort of Mortal Kombat media since the 90s and back then I was like eight years old. Most of my memories of this franchise come from playing the arcade game at Pizza Hut. So I'm kinda fuzzy on all of the franchise lore.

Aside from the plot holes, the choreography and graphics could have used some work. But it definitely wasn't the worst CGI I've ever seen. I did think Kano's story arc was incredibly predictable, though, and he felt a bit like a ripoff of Butcher from The Boys. Though I'm pretty sure Mortal Kombat predates The Boys, but don't quote me on that.

That being said this was a solid popcorn action flick. It's suitable for children ages fourteen and up if you don't mind the occasional F-bomb being dropped. It gets three and a half stars, and I definitely plan on getting my own copy on Blu-ray to add to my collection.
