Okay 3 things

1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh

real talk but multimuses are the backbone of the rp community. they are often the most reliable, most long-lived blogs. when they pick up a muse you know they're least likely to abandon them and most likely to give you longterm plots, dynamics and interactions. i trust multimuses to never let me down. love them with my whole heart truly

TIPS FOR INTERACTING WITH MULTI-MUSE BLOGS:

it's okay to just write with one or two muses! especially when there are a lot of muses, it can be overwhelming. pick one or two that you and your writing partner will focus on developing more. these will be your Main Guys. it doesn't mean you'll ignore everyone else, but it will help give some focus. nobody is expecting you to write with every single muse on a multi

send in headcanon question asks for characters that you are not writing/plotting with as well. pick a character that the mun writes frequently, or one that you know NOTHING about and send in random questions for headcanon memes when they come up. they don't have to be characters that you want to/plan on writing with, but branch out and give the mun a chance to write about their less-loved muses

give options. if you haven't plotted yet or aren't sure who you want to write with, or just can't decide, list a few possible character options that you may want a meme or starter to be for. meet your writing partner halfway

utilize your drafts as a bookmark. see a memes list on your dash but don't have the time/energy to pick different muses to send prompts for? save the memes to your drafts and come back to it in a few hours or days when you have more spoons

be open to learning! multi-muses give the chance to discover all new characters and dynamics that you might not otherwise consider or know about. learning about new muses is one of the best things about the rpc and shifting your attitude to just be not only open to, but also excited about, learning about your friends' creations can make the rpc a much more fun place

remember that multis overall get less attention. so put in extra effort interacting with their posts so that they know they're loved just as much as solo blogs!

multi-muses have and always will be a staple part of the rpc and it's past time that we start focusing on them as we should. yes it can be difficult and overwhelming at times, but it's also worth the effort to interact and to learn about the muses featured on multi-muses. don't ignore our friends in the rpc just because you have to spend a few extra words to specify a muse.

thinking about the blue exorcist changeling au, and just- everyone seeing rin's true form for the first time on that bridge on that fateful day. yukio shoots him with iron bullets, which surely would have killed an ordinary fae- but even yukio knows that his brother isn't ordinary. rin's body reacts violently, his human form dissolving and leaving behind a writhing mass of shadows, eyes and flames...

...and just as the exwires are processing the fact that that's rin, the flames blaze stronger. hotter, until they've almost completely engulfed him. it's so blinding that they have to look away- and when they look back, at first glance it seems as if rin is back to normal. he's in the form they'd thought was his true form for the longest, except-

-except shiemi can tell something is wrong.

and soon it's not just her. his chest burns, sputtering at first- and then a demon heart flares to life, blazing a bright blue. rin opens his eyes, but he's not rin- or at least, not the rin they know.

after a lifetime of being constrained, demon rin is thrilled at the chance to let his flames run absolutely wild, unbound by oberon's curse of a Name. shiemi fends him off for a short time with nee's aid, but the one who ultimately halts his rampage is a very grumpy mephisto. he spirits the now unconscious rin away, leaving the exwires with more questions than answers.

...his flames were blue.

...his flames were blue, but the fae can't be possessed by demons. so what in the world is okumura rin, actually?

(or: rin wakes up later in mephisto's bedroom with a killer headache, and fuzzy memories of the past few hours. he remembers yukio shooting him- and then things get really messy. mephisto smiles and tells him nothing, because the best way for him to discover the truth about himself is to see it with his own eyes.

...he feels different, somehow.

but in the end, though his demon heart might now be free, what oberon did to him cannot be undone- at least, not unless he takes the Name he gifted to his son back. and Oberon? oberon has no intention of doing that.)

i think the term red flag is subjective! i'm not fond of it as a label (unless it's ironic hsdjfjs) just because it feels a little too loose of a definition. they're just a liiiitle manipulative, possessive, codependent...

okay but how insane would I be if I admitted I was curious about the ship dynamic between The Ghoul & Norm?

The only issue I foresee is that, in my head, Norm is the younger brother and cannot possibly be over 22 years old… but boy, does that little worm in my brain bring up the ship every time I write.

Sometimes I just think it’d be so interesting? Norm has gained some backbone by the end of the series and I really think he wouldn’t be afraid to just… say what he thinks to The Ghoul’s face. He’d also have none of that ‘Vault Dweller Goodness’ that The Ghoul has associated with Lucy. There’d be a strange combination of respect and animosity… plus, I think he’d appreciated Norm’s dry humor.

Imagine: Lucy & The Ghoul are traveling together and Norm joins them at some point. Norm is keeping records of all the Wasteland creatures he comes across because he’s genuinely interested in how the surface has affected things and people…

…which leads him to asking rather probing questions to The Ghoul. Does he have genitalia? How long did the process take to become a ghoul? Are they experiencing radiation exposure just by traveling with him or do they have to be in closer proximity? Is he semen irradiated?

Purely scientific, of course, but The Ghoul would turn it right back on him and ask if he wants to experiment to learn these things.

Norm is disturbed, initially, cue crisis…

Who knows who knows.
