Kneeled over the body, with no change in intonation or sign that anything strange is occurring, Kyoko says, "Are you here to kill me?"

There's a moment's pause before the figure steps out of the shadow. She looks...demure, almost. Hair carefully curled. Dark dress pristine. And yet, Kyoko looks at her not as some housekeeper in the wrong place at the wrong time, or perhaps a mistress caught in the act. This is no ordinary woman. "The man you've killed," the woman says slowly, "is my employer."

Ah. Kyoko can see the misunderstanding. "And if it was in self defense?" Kyoko challenges. There's no point to this question - just simple curiosity.

"Nothing changes," the woman says. "My master is my master. Even if I were to prefer he do nothing...unsavory. That is not my job."

A normal person might find this sort of perspective strange, Kyoko thinks idly.

She smiles at the woman. "I didn't kill your master. But I know who did. Come on."
