I still haven't been able to get my Twitter account back, but security has frozen the account in the meantime,
UPDATE: Twitter has already restored my account. Pretty darned fast, too. Wasn't expecting that.
Due to this mess, I've had to cancel my NASA Social event for the SpaceX launch at Cape Canaveral this weekend.
A big disappointment, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Also, something stuck for a long time in development finally died its true death recently, and this has made for a difficult and stressful time. And a bit of a relief as well, frankly. I now have a lot of time to make up at work and can't be traveling right now. So I'm going to stay home and work on my other big project, which you'll be hearing about soon. I need to be on time and do a good job, and no other possibility is worth considering.
My exhibit at the Society of Illustrators for the end of March is still a go, and I hope you get a chance to see it.
Join me for an behind-the-scenes look, LIVE from NASA Goddard, before the reveal of the first ever JWST images. Live stream starts at 9:40 AM Eastern, just before the official NASA Live broadcast! Be sure to head to the NASA Live YouTube page at 10:30 AM Eastern to watch as we #UnfoldTheUniverse.
Also, follow along at Webb.NASA.gov, or on the main NASA.gov website.
For the next couple weeks I will be posting the Gratitude Journal prompts that are being given to my students and my response post.
I’ve been a NASA nerd since I was a child growing Southern California in the 1960s watching Gemini and Apollo launches and missions on TV. So when I moved to Florida in 2008 I couldn’t wait to watch a space shuttle launch in person. The locals thought I was more…
I really want to work for NASA but I do not have a background in science or engineering. Are there any career paths at NASA that I could still achieve?
(born October 17, 1956) is an American engineer, physician, and former NASA astronaut.
She became the first African-American woman to travel into space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.
Jemison joined NASA's astronaut corps in 1987 and was selected to serve for the STS-47 mission, during which the Endeavour orbited the Earth for nearly eight days on September 12–20, 1992.
She was chosen out of roughly 2,000 applicants for 15 slots in NASA Astronaut Group 12, the first selected after Challenger.
The Associated Press covered her as the "first black woman astronaut" in 1987.
In 1993, Jemison appeared as Lieutenant Palmer in "Second Chances", an episode of the science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, becoming the first real astronaut to appear on Star Trek.
Jemison served on the board of directors of the World Sickle Cell Foundation from 1990 to 1992.
Jemison continues to advocate strongly in favor of science education and getting minority students interested in science.
I wanted to share this one again while I wait for all my weekend designs to be approved. I colored this Palestinian flag with open source NASA photos.
My best friend is Palestinian, and a lot of his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. ALL PROCEEDS from these designs will go first and foremost to helping his girlfriend afford to join him in America safely, and after that helping his other loved ones weather this war.
Available here on shirts, stickers, hats, masks, etc.
All designs available here (click on each to see the design on other products as well). Adding new designs about daily.

Hi everyone, thanks for reporting the hack on my Twitter account. To my complete astonishment, restoration took only 24 business hours. That's amazing. Thanks to Twitter support and all the people who signal boosted the matter.
I still can't make the NASA Social event for the Space X launch because this mess and some business matters ate up my window of opportunity. I hope someone else out there has a wonderful time in my place, and maybe I'll get another chance. Thanks to everyone!
I watched the Flat Earth documentary on Netflix a few years back. It was infuriating, yes, but after a while you started getting attached to the little buggers. They were trying so hard, that they even actually did an experiment! The experiment didn't work because it was poorly planned out but they tried!
And there was this little unrequited love story and then they all had a con together and they were so happy
And I was like "You know what? Good for them. Who are they hurting?" ... And then they started talking about antivaxxing, being homophobic, transphobic, antisemitic and I was like oh yeah. Right.
