𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍, with Armando out with his crew, you was left with your two kids: Isabella and Alejandro. With the littlest girl sleeping, you was perked up on the couch with Alejandro who was playing with his trains.

The translucent curtains allowed a dimmed version of a sunbeam to shine throughout the old money house, the classic elements of the pillars and brick walls being lit up in the process. The architectural style being your idea, loving the thought of elegance combined with the old style. Your design coming to life due to your husband: Armando.

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊

You found out what Armando’s real life was after a year of dating. Devastated, you ran away, needing some space after the web of lies that was just uncovered. But there was a problem.

Who has ever successfully hid from the cartel?

A couple of days passed and a knock was heard on your cabin door, your new house for a while which allowed you to gather your thoughts about the revelation. Confused, you slowly moved to the window to look outside at who it was. However, the positioning of the wooden panelled window did not give you the angle to see who was standing at the door. Sighing while turning the knob, it was no surprise to who it was.

Armando Aretas. His tall, muscular build towering over you as he waits silently for you to speak. His face doesn’t show an ounce of anger, more so, shame. His broad arm pointed to a space behind you, showing it to be a seat as he implies if he’s allowed inside. Shaking your head, you walk over to your living space as he follows behind. Not before ordering his two men to wait out there. He’s a high profile man, he always needs an entourage.

Sitting down, he rubs his palms together while messing with his ring on the index finger. The ring was beautiful, showing its realness as each intricate diamond glistened, even with the absence of sunlight to accentuate it. On the sides of the ring was his name and his mother’s: Isabella. A heart separated him and her name.

“After everything, that happened with my mother, i promised myself to be nothing like her. Blinded by my desire to honour her and my family i did some terrible things. I want to live a respectful life, but i did the opposite.”

A pause occurred yet you just sat back and listened.

“I disrespected you mi amor, i thought i was protecting you but i was hurting you instead. I’m sorry.”

Disbelief overtook you as you listened to his words. Tones of regret and purity flowed off his tongue as his deep, husky voice entered your ears, his Mexican accent still being apparent even with his incarceration in Miami.

You wanted to hate him, you wanted to just push him away and live your own life. But, you just couldn’t. So you forgave him instead.

𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊

𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑, you laid down while flicking through netflix on the television. A few stirs were heard on the electronic but nothing to worry about. Turning on the rom-com, ‘To all the boys i’ve loved before’, the dynamic between Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky making you laugh. It was funny to see different relationships especially comparing it to yours and Armando’s.

You guys was more of a power couple, the duo everyone looked up to and respected. Maybe that was because of your status and power in the world. Who knows??

A small tap was heard from the adjacent room, causing you to turn your head and freeze. A few seconds went by and you continued to watch the movie in front of you.

A louder crash occured which inflicted a flight or fight response within you. The initial reaction being flight as you make sure your kids are safe out of everything. Quickly grabbing Alejandro’s hands, you dash up the circular stairs that was before the kitchen. Luckily, you had socks on, limiting the thumping sound of your feet hitting the floor.

Opening Isabella’s door, Alejandro quickly ran in. You instruct Alejandro not to move from this room, nodding his head he quickly hugs you and moves by Isabella’s crib. Knowing how smart your boy is, he would have little problems calming his sister back to sleep or taking her out of the crib.

Slowly shutting the door, you quickly run to one of the next rooms and grab a glock. Each room had a keypad that was attached which was used to unlock the door, making the heavily secure. Thank god for Armando.

“Lord, please protect me and my kids. Amen.”

Footsteps trailed past the room you was in as you was preparing yourself. You could hear the grunts of the men who struggled to enter the right code for the locked doors. However, one was open. That was yours.

A man strolled through, glancing around the room with no caution in the world as he believes the house to be empty. There you were in the corner with your gun unlocked,

waiting for your time to strike.

Opening a few drawers, the man peered into one of them; noticing some earrings that were in the marble drawer he took them out. Pure gold wrapped the small gem that sat in the middle of the piece. A small diamond, dazzled in the light, each angle being a mirror for the light to reflect off of. A sight to behold. Smiling, the man put it in his pocket.

Just as he was about to turn around, a pistol was whipped on his head while a hand was wrapped around his mouth. He was knocked out instantly. Slowly laying him down, you walked into the next room, looking for the next guys.

Just as you was about to pop you head around the corner, a click was heard from behind you.

“No seas estúpido.”

𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐋, Armando and a few cartel members were sitting in a car. The Mercedes GLS 580 was all black, the rims and exterior was a mattel black while the inside was custom, hand-sewn leather with LED lights wrapped around the interior. Allowing a few of the members to chat amongst themselves, Armando just sat back quietly while going on his phone and then onto the camera system, wanting to check on his family.

He was surprised by the house being quiet, no one in the living room and no one outside. It was the workers day off today as you just wanted a peaceful day just by yourself and the kids, not wanting anyone watching over you. So by your command, be allowed that. However, that seems like it was the wrong decision.

With his eyebrows furrowed, he clicked off the camera system app and now went onto his contacts. Flicking through, he found yours and called it. No answer. No answer.

“¿Por qué no contesta?”

Armando now pushing past some of the workers, leaned over to the front. “Drive faster!”

The workers being confused, obeyed his instructions. Some of the members were now alarmed and were looking back at each other. “Count this fucking money they gave us, Vamos!!”

Frantically counting the mineh, you could just hear murmurs of numbers erupting from the members. Armando continuously called numbers on his phone, his nervousness now turning into frustration.

“Señor, nos quedamos cortos.”

“¿Qué dijeron” His head snapping towards the members who spoke up.

“Boss…”

Before Armando could even say anything else a notification sound was heard from his phone, scrambling towards it, he clicked on the screen. A picture of you was sent, your hands tied and your mouth duct taped. A realisation washed over Armando. He was played.

Throwing his phone in anger, he screamed out loud while getting his gun and shooting it from the roof of the car. The other members crouched down to shield themselves.

“Voy a quemar todo este país.”

Finland Freeze - Fernando Alonso x WifeReader

Plot: Fernando decided to take you on a ski trip, however after testing out the bunny slopes and multiple falls you need to go back to the log cabin for some warmth, however Fernando feels as though he should be that warmth instead!

"Come on. It's not that hard!" your husband Fernando laughed from the bottom of the small hill. You look down at him, from up here the slope looked huge.

There was multiple kids going past you, throwing themselves into the activity while you stayed there apprehensively.

"Come on mi amor!" he shouts up to you. You take a few more seconds before starting pushing yourself down the slope on the ski's. You start to speed up and you try leaning into the turn but end up just plopping down into the icy slope. You look up, pulling your goggles up seeing your husband laughing at you with his hands on his knees.

A dad laugh.

You got up quickly rubbing the snow away from your now probably bruised bum. You start up again, taking the turns a little slower and manage to get down to your husband with only 2 more slip ups.

As you neared him, he opened his arms wide as if you were a toddler coming towards him. You however didn't fully slow to a stop, and end up falling in between his legs taking him down with you.

"Offph, I know when i married you I said till death do us part... but your taking that very seriously!" he jokes looking over you before helping you up from the snowy floor.

"Your the one who got me to come to Finland with you! I would have happily spent my winter in Dubai, or Australia!" you comment, pulling him into a hug.

The next few times and he comes down the hill with you, holding your hand and making sure to balance you back out when you start to skid.

After a few more hours, your getting too cold, your cheeks fully red and not enjoying the dropping temperatures. You say that you'll go back to the cabin on the ski resort to warm up while Fernando goes on the big slopes with his personal trainer.

You get in, changing from the damp skiing gear you were sporting and wrapping a dressing gown around you while you shove it all in the washing machine.

You quickly make your way over to the bathroom getting in the warm shower and rinsing of your body, keeping it on a warm temperature to try and warm up the furthest bits of your body.

You stayed there for at least 45 minutes, where you fingers slowly started to resemble prunes. You put on joggers and a hoodie of your husbands and some big fluffy socks. You make you way down to the living area turning the kettle on immediately. You grab the matches and light the wood inside the fireplace that Fernando had put there the previous night when you both realized you'd used most of it up.

Once the kettle has boiled you split the water, most of it going into the pink fluffy hot water bottle you'd conveniently taken with you, even though you'd been told you wouldn't need it. The other goes into making yourself a tea, using the last of the milk you guys had brought for the cup, noting you'd have to go to the little shop on the lodge sight later tonight.

You grab multiple unhealthy snacks that Fernando always held a grudge when he saw you lazing around on the sofa and his cheat day foods in hand on a random Wednesday.

You set yourself up on the sofa under a white fluffy blanket, nesting yourself down in between the large pillows. You hug the hot water bottle and turn on a new crappy rom-com in the Netflix recommended.

Fernando walks in the door, snow in his hair from the growing snow storm outside making you chuckle at his gruff entrance despite his small stature.

He walk over to you and leans down kissing your lips making you recoil away and bury down into your blankets more due to the coldness he brought.

"No kisses?" he asks looking at you with a tilted head and puppy dog eyes.

"You're cold hermoso" you smile shyly, not wanting to be rude but also wanting to keep warm.

"Hmmmm, i'll get changed and then you've got to let me in that bundle of warmth!" he exclaims before crossing over to the bedroom.

He comes back in a pair of shorts and t-shirt the outfit making your eyes widen shocked that he could even possibly be warm in that outfit. He starts to climb into your nest you've created pulling a random wrapper off you and into the little bin behind you both before he starts to undo all your hard work of keeping the warmth in.

"Mmmmm no please!" you complain hugging the water bottle closer trying to keep the warmth.

"I'm hurt mi amor! This bottle is a better source of heat than me? Your husband?" he asks looking over you and you want to nod you really do but his expression makes you just stay still as he starts to pull the blanket away from you. He lays down, re-wrapping the blanket around himself when he pulls your hot water bottle away.

You groan out a complain.

"Mmmm I'm better than this stupid bottle!" he says before snaking his hands up under your hoodie making you shiver and whine from how cold his hands are.

"Fernando!" you gasp when he fully flattens his hands on your back.

"We'll warm up soon" he smiles fully laying on your and hugging your body into his.

"I was warm until you showed up" you sigh starting to play with his hair that was under the blanket so your finger tips didnt get too cold.

Eventually the fire really kicked in and your body heats started to regulate meaning you were both warming each other up nicely now, to the point where you both fell asleep in your little nest of the sofa hugging each other with the soft voices from the next movie that had automatically played on in the back ground.

It was late 2021, and you had been dragged to a photoshoot for what your mom called a “special project.” She was directing the All Too Well short film, and while you had no active role in the process, she thought it would be a “fun bonding experience” to bring you along.

"Come on," Taylor had coaxed as she slipped on her signature red lipstick. "You’ll love it. It’s going to be cinematic."

You had rolled your eyes, muttering something about how you’d rather stay home. But, as usual, you went. You were 15, and saying no to Taylor Swift wasn’t exactly in the cards.

Then you saw her.

Sadie Sink walked in, fiery red hair cascading over her shoulders and a smile that seemed to light up the entire room. You recognized her immediately from Stranger Things, a show you adored but never admitted to loving because everyone knew your mom worked with Netflix, and that felt like an unfair bias.

Sadie had this presence about her—an effortless magnetism. She greeted everyone warmly, her voice soft yet commanding.

When her gaze finally landed on you, your breath hitched.

"Hi," she said with a smile, extending her hand. "I’m Sadie."

"I’ve been waiting for you to say that," she whispered before leaning in and kissing you.

Dating Sadie was everything you’d hoped it would be—sweet, thrilling, and full of laughter. But it wasn’t without its challenges.

You both agreed to keep the relationship a secret. Sadie wasn’t sure how the public would react, and you weren’t ready to tell your mom. Taylor adored Sadie, but in her mind, Sadie was still the actress who had played a version of her younger self. The idea of you two as a couple was... complicated.

You choked on your water. "What?"

Taylor shrugged. "I’m just saying, if there’s something going on, you can tell me."

"There’s nothing going on," you insisted, your voice a little too high-pitched.

Things came to a head when Taylor decided to host a dinner party. She invited Sadie, Gracie, Sabrina, and a few other friends under the guise of a casual get-together.

"Isn’t this fun?" Taylor said as she poured sparkling water for everyone.

You sat at the table, feeling like a deer caught in headlights. Sadie was directly across from you, her eyes flicking between you and Gracie.

"So, Gracie," Taylor began, her tone overly casual, "how long have you and my daughter been... close?"

Gracie blinked, clearly caught off guard. "Uh, we’ve been friends for a while."

Taylor nodded, her smile widening. "Friends. Right."

Sadie’s jaw tightened, and you could see the hurt in her eyes.

"Mom," you said through gritted teeth, "can we not?"

"What?" Taylor asked, feigning innocence. "I’m just curious."

The rest of the dinner was painfully awkward. Sadie barely spoke, and by the end of the night, you could feel the tension radiating off her.

"Sadie," you said softly, sitting down beside her.

She didn’t look at you. "Is this what I am to you? A secret?"

"No," you said quickly, your voice trembling. "You’re everything to me."

"Then why does it feel like you’re ashamed of us?"

"I’m not," you insisted, tears welling in your eyes. "I just... I didn’t know how to tell her. You know how she is."

Sadie finally turned to you, her eyes glistening. "I love you, but I can’t keep doing this if it means hiding who we are."

You took her hand, squeezing it tightly. "You’re right. I’ll tell her. Tomorrow. I promise."

The next morning, you sat Taylor down, your heart pounding.

"Mom, I need to tell you something," you began.

Taylor set down her coffee cup, her expression serious. "What’s wrong?"

You took a deep breath. "I’m not dating Gracie. I’m dating Sadie."

Taylor stared at you, her brows furrowing. "Sadie?"

"Yes," you said, bracing yourself for her reaction.

There won’t be a next time. As CEOs are rapidly replaced with finance-minded men who don’t care about the craft and don’t have experience in any creative fields, the will to invest in good, long-form media with good, long-form stories shrinks.

These men want viral, instant success to show their shareholders, and every dollar they “save” by cutting productions and low-key union busting goes straight into their own pockets in the form of bonuses.

The insidious formula currently in use, following Netflix’s lead, is these companies order one season (~16-24 episodes) from an animation studio, split it into two or three short seasons for streaming, market it to death to gain new subscribers, and then cancel the show.

This means that they don’t order a new season from the animation studios, which legally obligated the entire crew to a small pay raise, and also tricks new subscribers into staying on their platform. The data shows that most people will allow passive subscriptions to continue, even if they hardly use the service, because it’s more convenient to ‘just have it.’ So these shows, in essence, are not being viewed as shows by the streaming companies. They’re 16 episode ads to convince you to sign up for the streaming companies, and everyone who cares about the shows, and the stories, and the characters we love, gets laid off and spends the next several months (at best!) looking for a new job.

Now, with the threats of automating our storytelling and the active practice of exploiting our non-union neighbors, unemployment in nearly every creative field is at an all-time high. I hate to say it but the more the crew interacts w the fanbase the more I'm like.. maybe... they shouldn't do that.

On one hand you have Nick, who I understand worked gard on CT and as a writer he's allowed to feel defensive about his work; However, some of his responses to criticisms towards the show have felt very unprofessional, honestly some of them have felt downright MOCKING of the criticism which is a major no-no. When you write for a show thats going to go on major platforms like Netflix and be backed by a company like Dreamworks you have to understand there WILL be criticisms and you as a writer who got paid to do it should not be logging onto tumblr dot com and arguing with teenagers as to why their criticisms are "wrong".

On the other hand you have the storyboard artists, who yes I do enjoy having around, especially for more content and interactions, as well as learning the storyboard process, but as that one anon who mentioned the queerbaiting said, certain things they say are going to feel more "canon" as they worked on the show, and that can be a bit tricky.

Plus, the fandom can sometimes treat the crew like they're excused from criticism simply because they're crew which is ??? Like I've seen some of the storyboard artists whitewash the characters, erase their features(in finished art as well), make Sammy skinny, etc. And it's like, those are all things that should be called out but because they worked on the show they have a get out of jail free pass, idk.

Tldr As much as I enjoy having the crew active on tumblr sometimes it can very much feel like a win-lose situation.

hi! it's called sex/life and it's on netflix (in the us at least). i highly recommend the first season. it's not good but boy oh boy is it fun. there's a scene where the husband and wife are trying to get it on in the front seat of their car and when he pulls the strap of her dress down to get her tit out, she accidentally sprays him in the face with breast milk and i just think everyone ever needs to have that image bouncing around in their brain. the second season is way less fun and actively infuriating but it is what it is. still, it's most fun i've had watching tv in quite some time.

Movies:

Idioot (2011) by Rainer Sarnet. It's an adaptation of dostoyevsky's "the idiot" and it's one of the few movies i can actually call underground, because i've yet to met anyone besides my mom whose actually seen it. I don't like it because of that though, i like it because all of it is shot in a church (even the outdoor scenes) and the ending has gay undertones. it's arthouse, what else do you expect?

Amelie (2001) is one of the few romance movies i like because it's super sweet and has very interesting visuals. and also i saw it before i knew i was aroace so i didn't care about whether or not i like romance.

Knives out (2019) has super cool visuals and also very cool foreshadowing. definitely a movie i watched an explanation of later. not THAT deep though, like you get the message before even finishing it.

Tank Girl (1995) is a fucking comedy and apocalypse masterpiece and no one will convince me otherwise. I do not care about if it's accurate to the comics at all. it's just pure, unfiltered, 90s action. with implied lesbians.

In tandem with the last movie comes Bad Girls (1994), even though this one is a bit less goofy (it does not have kangaroo-man hybrids)

Kill your darlings (2013). i don't even care about the gayness, they went ham with the poetry references. like they explain a technique in poetry and then do that same thing in the movie? fucking beautiful. the soundtrack is also so unique. i could go on about this movie forever.

Birds of Prey, or the fantabulous emancipation of Harley Quinn (2020) is like all of those other superhero action movies, but this time it's For Girls (tm) and i LOVE it because of that. idec about action movies in general, that one just Gets It. Margot Robbie OWNS Harley Quinn for me

speaking of feminist action movies, Mad Max Fury Road (2015) is amazing. it has one of the most unique colour palettes i've seen, because of how much contrast there is. Surprisingly condensed, the action is not spread out at all, gets straight to the point. Also it has like no romance at all.

Shows:

Hannibal (2013-2015) is my number 1, no competition. It's a rom com, it's a thriller, it's horror, it's whatever you want it to be. not gonna say too much, becuase i want you to experience its glory first hand.

pushing daisies (2007-2009) is whimsical, light hearted, fairy-tale like, fluffy, etc. basically the opposite of hannibal, even though both of them are made by Brian Fuller. fun fact: it has the only straight romance i actively root for. they're also asexual because i said so.

I am not okay with this (2020) is another one of those movies you only see in those lists of shows that netflix ended too soon, because it did. it's like netflix said "wait it has LESBIANS? we can't have THAT" which is a shame, because it's a masterfully crafted allegory for grief and depression. and as if THAT wasn't enough, it parodies while ´imitating an 80s high school movie, which gives it this cool aesthetic of the modern day mixed with the 80s.

Over the garden wall (2016). Wirt is a very accurately written teen who i want to be friends with SO BAD, and Greg is somehow even more accurately written because my sister is roughly the same age as him and they are basically the same people. It goes pretty hard with the historical influences, the soundtrack fits it so well and the story is very sweet. i recommend it 👍
