For the soundtrack of the Minecraft: Nether, Caves & Clifts and Wild Updates, Mojang employed trans woman Lena Raine. She most notably created Pigstep and Otherside. Rain is also notable for being the creator of the soundtrack of Celeste, Guild Wars, and Chicory: A Colourful Tale.
i still can’t get over how awesome it was that the Minecraft Nether Update added warped materials alongside the crimson ones.
It would have been so easy to just add new red materials to the red dimension, but no, they threw in a bunch of cyan materials too. And it just makes the nether look so much cooler way than it otherwise would.
Minecraft feels like it doesn’t know what to do for big updates any more so they’re doing like small miscellaneous updates collected together. I wish they’d move on from trying to give them a theme bc I feel like that’s just confusing.
One thing I wish they’d do is do updates from time to time and go back and add pieces to old update. Like maybe add more fish or tree types.
Specifically what made me have this thought is that I’d love if they’d add more to the geodes. Like the amethysts are lovely but I’d love if there was a whole range of crystals to find in geodes!! I feel like that’s along the line of the archaeological stuff they’ve done recently! Digging into the earth for history and stuff!
Also if they ever do a forest update I’d freak out. I’d love if they revamped their nature bc I feel like that part of the over world specifically has been the same since the beginning era of minecraft. Like ocean, nether, caves, villages, NOW FOREST. And end.
Feels like natural progression of their universe growing! And I like feeling like the updates can have a “story” like aspect to me. Especially bc worldbuilding. Favorite idea when it comes to minecraft lore
now that qforever is fucked up again i can’t wait for missa to miraculously log on again just to be hit in the face with another wild as hell update about qforever
I had to update my beta minecraft world to 1.0 because endermen kept taking my buildings and trees apart but it feels so wrong to have updated a beta world to a standard version
If one more god damned person mentions adding the Aether to Minecraft i'll scream. the Aether is something i personally never wanna see, bc like the 3 dimensions we have can get so much more, why add another one that basically just acts as The End 2? also, this is just me but how can we find a 3rd shape for a portal? the nether is vertical and the end is horizontal, we can't have a diagonal portal can we? idk, it just annoys me especially considering most people who complain about no Aether also complain that Mojang isn't focusing on fixing the overworld. PICK ONE, BITCH
Does anyone know of a mod / datapack / any kind of project in the works related to making the new Trial Chambers easier to configure? Specifically messing with the spawners to make them easier or harder: generating more mobs at a time, letting me run a Chamber like there's five other players generating mobs in there, but in singleplayer... That kind of stuff. I don't care as much about messing with the trial spawner / vault loot tables, but ideally that'd be an option too. I know these configs exist in the game, you can set them for individual spawners that you place yourself... At least. I think ^^;
I'm trying to make sense of stuff through the Minecraft Wiki but I am absolutely not a coder or modder or anything lol. I just want all those options laid out in a nice button-toggle-able GUI, like when you're creating a custom flatworld.
"Hello I am making a world and I would like the Trial Chambers in it to follow This general recipe, thank you goodbye"... surely there's a tool out there being worked on for this scenario? If there is, plz let me know so I can stare longingly at the GitHub/Modrinth/etc page for it until it's available :D
