raffle prize for @the-family-fortune ! they requested older Raz and the lovely Mina (their muse) using their hydrokinesis together, which was a GREAT prompt and i absolutely had a ton of fun with this. AND i got to draw my own older Raz design which is always a treat! decided to reprise the outfit from here because i liked the design and wanted to put some colour on it.

i’ve been on one hell of a denim vest kick this year but this is easily one of my favorite projects i’ve ever done; 15+ hours of work, hand painting, way too much attention to detail on even the smallest things (you have no idea how many attempts it took to figure out how the strips of constellation lining fron his sleeves were weathered), and several bottles of fabric glue later, and my oddfellow vest is finally finished and worn out to hhn 🖤

bonus: the man himself (he asked about every little detail and told me i was better dressed than him 🥹🥹)

I am absolutely in love with the scene where Big Red and Thunderwrecker choose their pilots, especially those three or so shots of Thunderwrecker picking Frank. Just the camera movement, the lighting and everything show the moment perfectly; like the absolute perfect transition from Olivia’s disappointment to Frank’s excitement. Also using the Robo’s thermal(?) vision to show us Frank’s leg is really cool and clever, and the level of emotion in his voice when he gets celebrates is off the charts!!!!!

There’s a lot of scenes in this show that really get to me, but Frank and Maya’s overjoyed reactions coupled with Olivia losing her entire world has to be at least in the top three
