Many people agree that Arthur giving Merlin his mother's sigil was a proposal, and that leads me to two conclusions:
They didn't even date first. Arthur either decided in the moment that if he were to die, he could think of no one better to take his place--and if he survives, they could marry (having feelings for a while or realizing them in that moment and going with it) or was like oh shit I love him gotta marry right away.
2. They DID date, Merlin just didn't realize it. This of course, begs the question of when Arthur thought that they started to date

I know this isn’t my first time saying this but I feel like a large amount of people use the “ace people can still fuck/aro people can still date” thing as an excuse to make a character stated to be ace or aro fuck and date
Yeah that’s entirely true that it’s a spectrum Rebecca but are you saying that so less people are ignorant? Oh you’re just saying it so you can make ship art with an ace/aro character? Ok

I don't get it when people say Tigerheartstar is abusive to Dovewing. Can't you see they're literally the perfect couple?
Wasn't it so cute when they would talk together on the mission to save the lake? It was just so adorable seeing the young, newly-apprenticed Dovepaw fall for a fully mature warrior and have him reciprocate her feelings!
Oh and it was just so wholesome how she would sneak out to see him all alone and without telling anyone of their relationship in fear she would get in trouble <3
And don't forget how much they agreed on everything. I mean there were times where they would disagree and argue, but they eventually reached a decision! It just happens that it's always whatever Tigerheartstar wanted, surely just because he knows better. Obviously he respects her choices and opinions, he just knows his own choices and opinions are better
Like I said, the perfect couple

Bumble's Curse AU (DOTC) (half-baked)
The Bullshit
I think what really annoys me about Bumble's death aside from the sexism and xenophobia and the sending her back to an abuser and not doing anything against Clear Sky is the fact that THEY AT LEAST COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING WITH IT.
Think about it. The first main character of the series was Rusty/Firestar, a kittypet who proved himself over and over in spite of his origins and became legend among the Clans.
Then we flashback to the creation of the Clans and have Bumble, who was rejected for her kittypet origins and.......nothing comes from it. Literally nothing reasonable.
What They Could Have Done
They could have still killed her, much as that scene absolutely sucked, if it was to intentionally show the Clans' xenophobia, to show the Clans' flaws and how that will eventually lead to Firestar changing things. But rejecting Bumble as a Clanmate was seen as a completely good thing??
Like they could have deliberately made their stories correlate in opposite directions.
So what if the Clans actually faced consequences for literally not helping Bumble when she was abused and leading her on the path of death?
I like the idea of her relating to water or ice, as that's the opposite of fire.
My Main Idea
She becomes a crying spirit, so distraught from her death and how she was treated by everyone--friends to enemies--in her life, that her ghost, if seen, is seen always crying
(cats can't cry, but in the books they shrug, show the whites of their eyes, have kits talk and open their eyes at like one day, so I think it's fine)
The emotions engulf her entirely, so that all she can feel in her death is utter sorrow. And because ~spirit powers~ those tears are the waters that flood SkyClan--the Clan that was founded by her killer. Because she sees how many kittypets reside in it, and if she wasn't so destroyed, so constricted in how she could feel as a spirit doomed to always feel only sadness, she would have been glad for them, she would have been happy!
But because she was a crying spirit, she could only cry at the unfairness of it. Why could they get the life that she had wished for herself?
And, as Patchpelt once said in Forest of Secrets: "I remember the last time the river overflowed, many moons ago. Cats from all Clans drowned. Prey drowned, too, and we went hungry even though our paws stayed dry. This is not just RiverClan's problem."
Maybe Bumble had to do with that flood as well? It's not seen in books, so it could have happened for a number of reasons. Maybe when Featherstorm met with a kittypet or had a kittypet's kits? Maybe, to tie them further, when Firestar was born and she could feel the prophecy, and knew of a kittypet that would be accepted into the Clans and become a wonderful leader?
As well, there's the flood in Bramblestar's Storm--though the kittypets join afterward. What if Benny was destined to become someone great, almost like Firestar, but this knowledge upset Bumble further, resulting in the flood.
As well, Shadowstar lost a life to drowning--and she was the leader to reject Bumble.
To make this short and not put in detail every water-related incident, here's a list of those that drowned, and thus could have possibly been killed (unintentionally and unknowingly) by Bumble:
Splashpaw [died offscreen in Dawn]
--
Woodkit + Robinkit [Leopardstar's Honour]
--
Tadpole [Tigerstar and Sasha] (kittypet that would have joined the Clans, as would Hawk and Moth, but they survived)
--
Lichenfur [Skyclan and The Stranger]
--
Flametail [Night Whispers]
--
Blackstar [offscreen in Bramblestar's Storm]
--
Seedpaw [Bramblestar's Storm]
--
Pebblefoot [offscreen in Bramblestar's Storm]
--
Grasspelt [offscreen in Bramblestar's Storm]
--
Snipkit [Hawkwing's Journey] (Skyclan + being chased away by someone who was once a kittypet possibly induced Bumble's crying??)
--
Juniperclaw -[AVOS]
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
You may say that Bumble's no killer, and I would agree with you! In this case, the deaths are not murders, Bumble is not killing them intentionally--she likely doesn't even realize that she's killing them at all.
She is constantly crying in her afterlife, and whenever she sees something that especially triggers the deep sorrow inside her (like something that reminds her of her own pain or the life she could have had), a flood results--and the flood could kill anyone that gets caught in it, regardless of if they, specifically, caused her sadness.
Then, what if someone--Firestar, Princess, Echosong, another kittypet or kittypet-turned warrior finds her, and breaks the trance that had engulfed Bumble for years?
And she realizes the monster that she had become, that she made herself into, that the Clans made her into--no, the Clan founders, because these cats alive now were innocent. Just like she was. and she breaks down. The numb exterior that had built after decades of living as a crying spirit shatters, and Bumble is Bumble again.
More ideally, everyone who killed/rejected her apologize deeply. Maybe she accepts, maybe she doesn't, she's just glad to have the pain mostly gone, because she spent too long suffering and making others suffer because of it, and she just wants to move on.
And together, they send a message to the Clans to not neglect help from anyone who may need it, regardless of where they come from, and to think twice before rejecting someone based solely on where they come from. -- At least then they could admit the whole xenophobia problem in Warriors and try to fix it.
--
This is still very wonky, especially that ending part. My brain is still fried to blackened ash from final exams, but I thought of this and wanted to get it out there.
I think Bumble would be more interesting of a character if she was, you know, a character and not a prop, written only to be abused, neglected, killed, and forgotten. And I think it would be interesting if the Clans' xenophobia was called out and dealt with instead of something that's treated as perfectly okay and normal.

OK GUYS I THINK I FINALLY THOUGHT OF THE PERFECT ACEARO TATTOO
—Ace of spades card (representing aromantic asexual)
—an arrow going through the card. It’s spearhead is where the spade symbol would be (and is shaped like a spade) (representing more aro)
—spearhead has a gradient very similar to the AVEN triangle
—the feathers on the arrow are instead full wings and are bird-like on one side and bat-like on the other, representing gryphons and dragons, which themselves represent aromantics and asexuals, respectively
—black rings along the arrow (representing ace) (possibly white rings too depending on the shading)
—the card is more like a piece of glass, with broken shards from the arrow striking it scattered. Within the shards are more symbols
Feel free to suggest more ideas! I want this baby COVERED in Easter eggs (but also in a non-messy way lol)
some things that I’ll add as I think of it
—anesthesia needle (reference to anesthesia sexual, honouring Magnus Hirschfield)

It should have been Breezepelt
It should have been Breezepelt
It should have been Breezepelt
It should have been Breezepelt
Pretending that a Breezepelt Super Edition wouldn't have just completely ruined his character for a moment, Breezepelt would have been a much better choice to have as a SE pov.
I would have loved to see the story open with Breezepelt behaving how he does in Po3 and OOTS. I think he should be a little shit, resentful and hurt and angry. I want to see Crowfeather being a shit father, I want to get right into Breezepelt's head, right to the darkest parts of him.
I think he should want to get better--maybe for his mother, maybe for Heathertail, maybe for his future kits, maybe just for himself because he recognizes the same misery in his father, and doesn't want to become like him, forever bitter, forever lonely.
And I want him to struggle (out of love for the character!)
I want him to earn his redemption through blood, sweat, and tears. I want him to earn the forgiveness of his Clanmates and of Heathertail. I don't want him to be babied like Crowfeather was--where everyone forgave him and all he did was say whoops sorry. I want it to be the hardest and most painful battle that Breezepelt will ever fight, because he has to fight himself.
Then at the end, we see how worth it all of it was, because he's happy now, and his relationships are good and healthy. Maybe it ends with Heathertail telling him she's expecting, and he knows he'll be ready. Or maybe it ends with them already in the nursery, Breezepelt attentive and present (possibly contrasting with the prologue which could have been Crowfeather being absent when Breeze was born).

One thing that has always sorta bothered me about The Last Hope is the scene where Tigerstar congratulates Brambleclaw for killing Hawkfrost.
I know it's supposed to be some shocking show of how bad he is that he celebrates his own son's death, trying to upset Brambleclaw by rubbing in the fact that he destroyed his brother's spirit and all that, but it makes his character seem...flat?
I think it would have been way more interesting if Tigerstar was dismayed. Genuinely dismayed and upset that he lost his son, that Brambleclaw killed his own brother not once but twice. He still rubs in the fact that Brambleclaw is a killer, but it's more unintentional, a result of Tigerstar snapping at him for doing it.
In The Prophecies Begin Tigerstar was evil yes, but he still actually cared about his kits and even if Hawkfrost was never his favourite son, it would have been nice for Tigerstar to mourn him? Especially after all the time they spent together in the Dark Forest.

I think it'd be sooo funny if Warriors incorporated the fact that cats can smell if another cat is related to them
Crowfeather rescues Jaypaw and is just like "what the fuck"

There’s something iffy about people making art of Moonpaw’s sibling saying that she should do evil stuff
Being annoying or confusing or being chatty is fine imo because then they’re acting like any average apprentice-aged cat would act, but there’s something about seeing “voice in head” that makes people go right to “the voice is violent and dangerous and trying to make Moonpaw do bad things” that feels really gross and perpetuates a dangerous mindset, even if it’s meant to be joking or is unintentional, and I think it’s worth considering WHY it’s meant to be funny/where the idea of making the voice evil comes from
I haven’t read the newer books so I don’t know how much of these is canon or fanon, but I don’t think it really matters all that much. Just don’t do it.

Haha remember that AU I mentioned in the 'list of my AUs post' about Pinestar being Firepaw's dad? original I know
What if Tiger still hates Fire but this time because he sees Fire as everything Pine wanted in a son. Pinestar left him and his sick sisters to become a kittypet, but stayed in his soft kittypet home for this guy and his what's-their-faces littermates?
Firepaw is the perfect apprentice and later warrior. He's even given the suffix 'heart,' the same suffix that Pinestar had!
And he talks so much about his dad back home, the games they would play together, or a warrior would mention something about a frog and Firepaw would pipe up "oh! my dad, Pine, told me this one story once where this frog...."
and it annoys Tiger so much. Makes him so furious. Because while Tiger was growing up, mourning his sisters, mourning his mother, wondering why his dad left, his dad had been raising someone else with all the love in him?
It was easier before, to think that Pinestar was just a bad father. But now it was more complicated than that. Tiger wasn't one to wonder if he wasn't worth it, but the subconscious thought still dug into him.
Now from here, the AU could branch out. Does Tiger take Fire under his wing, only to manipulate him and turn him into someone horrible so he is no longer so perfect? Is Fire torn between loyalty to his brother, his father, and Clan? Do they know from the beginning? Does only one know? Do they find out later, when they're already sworn enemies?
The possibilities are endless!

What if Breezepelt was exiled after the Great Battle, but was accepted back into the Clan because he rescued and brought back missing kids Cherrykit and Molekit
Aka the unborn kits he would have killed had Jayfeather and Honeyfern’s spirit not stopped him.
Maybe they snuck away in the night hoping for an adventure. Maybe a flood washes them away. Or maybe a lingering dark spirit lures them away because it’s bitter it lost the battle.
Whatever the case, Breezepelt finds them.
He tells himself it’s not his problem, that all Clan cats can rot, kit or no, yet he can’t bring himself to abandon them. He knows he has to take them back, even if he’s attacked for stepping foot on Clan territory again.
He’s still snappy. He’s still bitter. He’s still full of resentment.
So when Molekit complains about being tired and asks for a break, he could just smack him—
He doesn’t. He’s not like him. He’s not like Crowfeather. At least he doesn’t want to be.
He doesn’t become World’s #1 Caretaker, but he watches his words and keeps his tongue in check. He will tell them to stop complaining if they say the same thing over and over, but he won’t refuse rest breaks (especially not with their little legs), won’t refuse stopping to hunt, and a little ways into their travels, he even indulges a little in their need to stop just to look at something that caught their eye.
And the kits respond to it. They like this cat and so they tell him about themselves and about their parents, and that’s when Breezepelt realizes who they are.
I really like the idea of them being lured away by a Dark Forest spirit because imagine Breezepelt being fueled to kill a pregnant queen by a Dark Forest cat and then he protects the very kits he would have killed against one (maybe Darkstripe? One always a pawn, the other breaking free).
——
That’s as far as I thought about it because someone said something about Breeze’s redemption pretty much coming out of nowhere and him suddenly being fine now because he’s a dad.
So consider: he is better now because of kits…just not his own and in a different way, and his redemption is actually focused on
Don’t know if the timeline fits with the kit’s ages but. Idc
