Looks like Chalarm and James are shooting pilot for a book adaption of Teach Me Touch Me

The hero (Kantee), 34 years old, is the owner of a luxury imported car showroom who often goes to his close friend's club after work. He is also a special customer who holds a VIP card of the club that can use the fifth-floor room if he likes someone and takes them up to get to know them more deeply. One day, the hero, who does everything normally, deals with a familiar person to a fifth-floor room. But suddenly, the person who opens the door to the room is the main character, a fourth-year student with an innocent face (Gear), who keeps apologizing for walking into the wrong room. When Kantee sees this behavior, he is worried that someone is tricking this child into going up to the fifth floor. So he asks him questions and finds out that Gear went up to the fifth floor willingly. But because of his nervousness, he goes into the wrong room. The hero suggests walking back to the room. But suddenly, Gear says that he doesn't want to leave this room anymore. The hero, who can tell what the young man in front of him is trying to convey, asks him what he can do. But the answer he gets is disappointing because Gear has zero experience in bed. Kantee immediately refuses because he looks innocent. Not being good at bed is not my type at all, even though Gear begged him to teach me. Several days later, the two met again. Kanthi saw Gear kissing a man awkwardly as if forced. Immediately, he felt annoyed. Kanthi took Gear away from that man and asked until he found out that Gear was learning to have fun like other people for some reason. He wanted to change himself to be more colorful than the plainness he used to be. The attraction that arose made Kanthi teach Gear to kiss. He didn't know that the innocence and awkwardness that he had rejected was the most attractive and interesting thing. Everything started to go too far. Kanthi offered to teach Gear about bed and after that, everything was an important lesson that Gear learned to his heart's content. It made Kanthi unable to withdraw. And the reason why Gear wanted to learn about bed urgently was going to bring some problems to Kanthi.

I think this is partly because fanfic is so HARD to turn into a novel because of its relation to the source material. By the time you've taken out any identifying info, you're left with a shell as far as worldbuilding goes.

You have to build an entirely new universe from scratch with predetermined limits. Worldbuilding is already hard, doing it with specific limits damn near requires divine assistance.

And any good fiction writer KNOWS that. They know you'd have to scrap half of what makes the fic good in order to wrestle it into a novel format.

They'd rather maintain the integrity of their work and I can absolutely respect and admire that.

I also think part of the issue is that good fic writers don't often believe in themselves enough. They have no idea how amazing they are, and because of that, they lack the confidence to try and write a novel based on one of their fics.

Basically, I think it comes down to how much work it would take in regards to the plot, characterization, and worldbuilding to completely divorce it from the plot. It's not an easy task. And if you prefer fantasy to write fic about, you often have to build a new magic system as well for the novel adaption of a fic.

sad reality of the fanfic-to-published work economy is that the weirdest people are willing to do it. that's why there's now hundreds of shitty no plot cishet hate-to-love enemies-to-lovers books that are ex reylo fanfic. and it's not even good. that's because the people who wrote book-quality steve/bucky and kirk/spock fic are too normal to think to themselves "i should get this porn published". they're too busy working in local government offices

Carrie is fat in the book. Learning that completely blew me.

The use of pigs blood makes so much more sense. The reason she was bullied so relentlesly, even though she does nothing to nobody, makes so much more sense. The relationship with her mother makes so much more sense.

I know they aren't going to, but I wish they would cast someone fat in this new Carrie adaptation. From the articles I've seen, they are already speculating which skinny actress it's going to be.

How many times can they tell the story the same exact way? The answer: endlessly.

I don't know what's worse the total erasure of fat people in movies or the only story we get to see ourselves in are the love yourself fatty movies.

TWSA gets a live action adaptation. nobody knows what the original source is, and a few chapters dissuades most people from reading further, but the thing is... the casting is phenomenal. top list actors all the way through. how did the producer even get all of them on this bumfuck novel's adaptation in the first place? who knows. but any concerns about quality due to the subpar source are squashed the moment the first trailer comes out.

it's action-packed, the actors look incredible, and most importantly, it looks fun. it's clear the plot has been heavily tweaked to fit a live-action format, and hey! they even gave the mc a gun (since swords just aren't as cool, obviously). everyone's happy!

So we have a rumor popping up about Daou and Offroad's possible new BL. This pic was shared about 2 weeks back by someone involved with LOA and people thought both guys looked like Daou and Offroad.

Now someone has found out the novel attached to the artwork and it's this one. Only in Thai tho. They said essentially it’s like I feel you linger in the air mixed with Until we meet again but much more intense and not as drawn out. Daou character in present day is a Muay Thai history major, past is Thai royalty who ends up saving Offroad characters and his family from bandits.
