if we were to live among the stars:

pairing: carpenter! yoongi x bunny hybrid! reader
genre: fluff || non-idol au || hybrid au || established relationship
summary: a story of the compulsory new christmas bauble
word count: 1.6k
tags/warnings: tooth rotting fluff, they’re kinda just in love it’s sickening, christmas!!!!
notes: this is connected to this universe, however can be read as a standalone <3
navigation where you can find my other work!!
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆.
there were a few times a year the shop got slightly out of hand. christmas being one of those times.
yoongi would like to hope that with every year that passes, he’d be slightly more prepared for the influx of people that take an interest in his craft. but alas, another year comes around and he’s close to losing his mind with how much work needs to get done before he can rest until new year.
the both of you have slowly worked out a system. christmas is the one time of year yoongi never feels guilty recruiting you as his little helper. and on brand, he likes to indulge in a new costume for you to wear each year around the shop. the elf had been his favorite; naturally so because it was fitting for the occasion.
so many years of christmas costumes tucked away in the storage room. last year he’d convinced you to be a reindeer, not without complaint from you, the little antler headband knocking against your poor little bunny ears. which he pet in apology that night until your fallen asleep on his lap and he’d had to carry you to bed.
this year, it was you who had convinced him to match with you.
you’d wanted to be Ms Claus, which of course meant yoongi would dress as Santa. the beard had come off less than an hour of him working, frustrated huff passing his lips before it’d been dropped onto the slowly growing pile of wood on the floor.
although christmas was simultaneously yoongi’s least favorite holiday (simply because it meant so much more work, and less attention directed at you), he couldnt help the most gentle smile that would grace his lips when he’d glance over at you every so often. your tongue dipping past soft lips as you concentrate painting each of the small ornaments for him.
always utterly determined to strive for perfection, because the work you produced was a reflection on yoongi’s shop, and you wanted everyone to know he was simply the best at his craft. that christmas wasn’t the only time of year they should bother pottering through the door, or checking what he had on the online store.
“almost done for today, my love” he murmurs, back of his hand wiping the sweat from under the fluff of his santa hat.
you pause, paintbrush hovering over the small wooden christmas tree as you glance up at the clock.
“but it’s only 3” you turn to look at him, eyes flickering over his face.
he hums, “we’re almost done with orders…” yoongi pauses, tongue wetting his bottom lip, “and we haven’t done any of our own christmas shopping yet”
you blink, nodding “yes”
“i sense a but” he narrows his eyes at you
“but… your work is important” you tell him, gently placing the paintbrush on the wooden pallet he’d made you.
“our work” he corrects, “and i know that but… we haven’t gotten each other anything yet. plus, we still need to get out compulsory new baubles for the tree”
you shake your head at him, “i told you i don’t need anything this year”
“but that’s doesn’t mean i don’t want to treat you” he argues
“save your money for something better”
he drops the chisel on the table, clank of it ringing in your ears.
“my love” he takes a step closer to you, crouching down beside your bed of blankets and pillows, “there is no ‘better’ than you”
you sigh, “i thought you were saving up for a new shop” it comes out barely above a whisper.
he falls back so he’s sitting, fingers slipping between your own.
“it can wait”
“but you’ve been talking about it for months”
“and?” his fingers squeeze yours
“and… don’t spend money on me because then you can save up quicker” you shake your head, “i’m more than happy just spending time with you, you know that”
he hums, tugging you forward. his eyebrows crease when your knee almost tips the paint water over your blanket, quick to help you step over it until you’re sat in his lap.
“i know, baby” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to your cheek, “i’m having second thoughts on the new shop”
you pause for a moment, “pardon?”
your eyes are wide as you look up at him, “but yoongi—“
he groans, head tipping back so he can avoid your eyes, “i know, i know. i’ve yapped on about it for months”
“then what changed?”
“you”
you blink at him, “me?”
“yeah, you” it isn’t accusatory, never would be and you doubt it ever will. because yoongi would never be able to bring himself to blame you for anything.
“why me?”
“look at us” he gestures between the both of you, “we’re happy. and we worked so hard for this place, it’s home”
“we can make home in another place” you murmur, “don’t give up your dream because of me”
“it’s just—“ he starts, eyes flickering across your face as he tried to find the right words, “i’ve had enough for that place i was looking at for months… i was going to call the guy who’s selling it but i couldn’t bring myself to do it”
“why?” you whisper, perhaps scared you’d ruin the mellow vulnerability if you spoke too loud.
“because this is us” he motions around the shop, “it would crush me to move us and then hate it, for me to walk into a new shop every single day and the warm feeling in my heart to never be there again” he tells you, “because you wouldn’t be able to nap on the window ledge, and we wouldn’t be able to walk down the street for coffee and your ice cream. years of you building up this—“ he points to your pile of blankets, pillows scattered how you like them, “would all be gone and it wouldn’t be the same”
“if you’re sure” you nod, “but if you change your mind—“
“i won’t” he stops you, “i know this is everything i need”
“and what if you need a bigger space?”
he groans, “i’ll throw away a table, i don’t know, it doesn’t matter. as long as it’s us and this shop then it doesn’t matter i’m happy”
“okay” you swallow, “i didn’t really want to leave anyways”
“why didn’t you tell me?” his fingers skim along the base of your bunny ears.
“because i’m not here to hold you back” you say, “i told you, where ever you go, i’ll be right behind you. because i trust you more than you’ll ever know”
“what if you were unhappy?” he runs a hand over his face.
“a piece of me will always be happy as long as we’re together. wether we stay here forever, or live among the stars with no one but us; i would be happy”
a smile quirks onto your lips as tears glaze over his eyes, the raw sort of love, all consuming, crazed, the kind of love that fills you up and threatens to spill out of every pore, so much contained within one fragile human body squeezing at yoongi’s heart as he looks at you.
his hands wander, over your shoulders and up to hold your cheeks, “okay”
“okay” you parrot, leaning into his touch.
“merry christmas” he leans forward, stealing the words from your tongue as he kisses you, ever so gentle and sweet.
“merry christmas” you whisper against his lips, quick to press a quick kiss before pulling away a little, “i might have already gotten our compulsory new bauble”
“without me?” his smile drops, eye brows furrowing
“we can get another one… but think of it as an early christmas gift”
you slip out of his lap, slinking over to your bag hung up by the door, fingers slipping past the zipper. yoongi can hear the paper bag crinkle between your fingers as you hold it behind your back, quick to sit beside him.
he turns his body to face you, knees knocking against yours.
you look down at the paper bag in your hands, mild hesitance painting your posture, sure to have so many thoughts running through your mind as you hand it over to him, not daring meet his eyes as he holds it.
“i like everything you get me” he reminds you at your clear nervous display.
“i know… but it still scares me” you admit
he lets the paper bag fall into his lap as he tugs your hands to hold his, “i love you”
your head tilts up to look at him, “i love you too but i don’t see—“
he stops you, finger pressed to your lips “i love you which means anything you’re willing to give to me will mean the world”
you frown, “open it then” you murmur
his hands slip from between yours, delicate as they unfold the paper bag.
a laugh bubbles up his throat at the sight of it, pure joy simmering beneath his skin as he holds it up in front of his face: a little wooden heart, a photo of the two of you sat prettily in the cut out.
he doesn’t remember when the photo was taken, but he remembers what you’d told him seconds before the shutter had captured that singular moment in time, locked in stasis forever.
“let’s love each other in every life, okay?”
because he remembers telling you that is the only way he planned to live, big smile on his face as you kiss his cheek.
“i love it” he whispers, eyes glued to the ornament like it were the most precious thing he had ever had the chance to hold, “i love you”
you smile, “i love you… merry christmas yoongi”
he lowers the bauble, “merry christmas, my pretty little love”

NO, waitwaitwait! I got it! Vampire!Sanji who's pallet is "refined", but he's just a picky eater. Where he can't drink from devil fruit eaters because they taste weird and have no nutritional value, fishmen have a horrible taste, way too salty and make his immune system weaken, and Franky's blood is just cola at this point.
So all he has left is: Nami, who doesn't let him drink unless it's life or death, or he pays her an absurd amount that would leave seven generations after him in debt.
Usopp, who gets anemic way too easily and is afraid of needles, but still "donates" as much as possible every one or two months, but it's usually a week's worth at best. At least he does it like a nirmal person - having Chopper take some and store it in a proper container.
And of course... Zoro. The perfect donor with plenty of blood and always quick to regeneration.
But the problem there is that Sanji hates drinking from him. He hates that he thinks making Chopper drain it is pointless and tell him to "Just come to me when you're hungry, don't waste any of the doctor stuff, it's fine." He hates that evey time he gets hungry he finds Zoro conveniently working out near him. He hates that he tastes so irresistible. He hates that every time Zoro, so willingly offers any part of his body, telling him what's important is that Sanji's comfort drinking from there.
He hates all of it! He hates the little noises he can't stop making when he goes after a long day of starving himself. He hates that he's so desperate and wanting. He hates thay Zoro is so understand, so comforting. He hates that while he's drinking, Zoro will pet his hair, brush it behind his ear so he can watch Sanji drain him. And he hates how happy it makes him.
Sanji often takes breaks from eating. He says it's a traditional thing, like fasting or a ramadan. But the truth was that he was trying to reduce how much he consumed. He usually only needed a cup's-worth of blood for three or even for days. And he would drink it in evenly spaced intervals of time.
Every month, he started with Usopp's blood. It's nicely packaged and dosed by Chopper to last him around a week and a half. And he was happy that it's a stability he could count on. But once that's over, he can't bring himself to go crawling to Zoro. He stops eating for as long as he can. But then he brakes. He always breaks in the end, and when it rains it pours. Sanji would wake up in a cold sweat, stomach hurting as if someone cut it open. He would try to stand on wobbly feet, most of the time unsuccessfully, and find Zoro. He would sink his teeth in with a fierceness he would despise if he didn't feel like his body was designating.
Zoro, already being used to it, would relax as soon as Sanji's teeth drew blood. He wouldn't flinch or protest. He would mutter reassurances to Sanji as his tears poured because of realization of what he's done. And he knew that until the next dose of Usopp's blood, Sanji would get addicted to the feeling of sinking his teeth into slightly tanned skin and feeling his pulse with the skin of his lips. Having the heat of fresh blood running down his throat.
They'd get scolded by Chopper for letting it get out of hand again and getting "hurt". But the next month or so the same thing would happen.

I've seen a lot of people say that Mordecai is ocd and idk if Tracy has said something about it yet, but I feel like outside of people who are ocd or know a lot about the disorder, most people say it bc of what mainstream media has to say about it. But let me pose you an alternative: ✨Autism✨
As an autistic person who works with multiple ocd people, let me tell you that ocd≠organized. From my understanding, ocd is more of a compulsion-based disorder such as checking your locks multiple times, repeating words or phrases, and counting in certain patterns. Some of this can lead to being more neat and organized, but it is also just as often not the case. Autism can often be more driven by symmetry than ocd, though with less anxiety reactions.
As a neurotic autistic person who gets upset when things are not symmetrically placed on shelves or on counters and works with ocd people who constantly leave stuff wherever for days on end, but happen to be good at counting and making sure that reminders are made when things are bothering them, it is hell here.
Actually let me go off the rails for a second and complain about the disorganization of these people (and before I get accused of "mimicking" Mordecai, let it be known that I just got into Lackadaisy and have been complaining about this stuff since July of last year. I just like him because he's relatable):
• I have a huge issue with cans not being stacked forward and the labels not facing the correct way and empty boxes being left on shelves. I also hate it when cans are not the exact same size so when you stack them, you can never get them all exactly lined up at the top. I go into Walmart and organize their shelves, that's how big of an issue I have with this stuff.
• At the registers, I have very particular spaces that I keep everything so that everything is mostly hidden and all the square/rectangle-shaped items we have are pressed together like a tetris set. I will spend hours at the register minutely changing fhe exact setup and making sure everything is neat and lined up, including the pens.
• I like keeping my aquatics station organized with the nets neatly in the sink and tilted to the back so they're not hanging over the counter, all paperwork folded neatly on my little drawer set and underneath the cup where I keep my pens, markers, and thermometer, my square fish-catching cups stacked neatly against the wall, and blackbag folded between the faucet and the wall while I'm not using it. I keep my chemical bottles organized based on purpose (ex. Medical in back, plant food in middle, and contirioner/chamical water adjusters in front.
• In the wellness room, I like to keep carts and terariums pushed neatly against the wall, often between shelves. It there's space between the item and one of the shelves, I like to push it against one and find something that will neatly fit in between on the other side.
• It annoys me that the organization system in place is mostly just people throwing things on shelves and organizing them by wide categories, rather than neatly sorting things together based on stricter categories. Like instead of putting all the aquatic stuff mixed together on one shelf, we could be putting food to one side, then filters, then thermometers, then decor, etc.
• Everyone also moves stuff around way too much. Like just put stuff back where you found it. Why am I constantly having to move stools back to their designated sections from the same spot. Why do you need 3 stools for one area???
• Can we maximize space? Why are 10 pallets of new inventory on the floor when you can scoot them into one area, organize them based on what place they belong in the store and then move those boxes neatly onto the end of the aisle they belong? Most of what we have is food anyways, so if we can get boxes out of the way, that leaves room to take those pallets off the floor and those boxes can get done so much quicker so we can get them out of the way.
I'll edit as I find more things to complain about.
Edit:
Ignore the bad line work and weird perspective, but when I say that I value symmetry, this is what I mean:

Things need to line up together
Edit 2: Another example of my neurotic need for symmetry.

Plus I always put the nozzle throught the handle (which nobody else seems to do 😒) because it I don't, there will be cobwebs and dirt all over the handle, which I hate touching or getting near. I litterally spent 15 minutes banging it on the side of a cart, trying to get the cobwebs off until a coworker passed by and I made them grab it with a towel because I couldn't physically put my hands anywhere near it without gagging. I also work with and hold tarantulas, so it's not a spider issue. I just really hate the texture.

B ball – fantastic 80s! Colors, moves! Text!
About this game, it is about a little ball that knock down platforms, there are some new features. To have all the things looks some new way. And more interesting. And, also, it is taking into account to have more dynamic game.
To have more indications and parameters. To see them at the screen, and later - they disappear. Something like, it is so screen of a sci fi suit or space ship, base. Whatever. It is such element of sci fi interface. For more interest point. Game is a about a ball, that knock down platforms. As idea.
When you knock down the platform at the top. One part of the platform. Each platform has a parts. Different colors. In this case, at the down it lights a line with the same color. You knock down a block of a certain color. Here, there are 16 colors – pallet. And, minus one color – black. It is background. Total 15 colors for a block.
youtube
And, there are here two skills. It is destroyer and sharp shooter. And, now, it is written all these indications. That you get +1 to skill. It is at the left side. And, there are here different colors. Lots of theme. And, all of them are to count. So, it is about a color specter with 15 colors. It is written at the screen left side. For 5 knock down same color parts – you get one this indication. It shows amount of parts same color, you knocked down at this level. And for all the game, such statistics in in the count.
One more interesting feature for a level. It is diagonal territory. At some levels, it will be enemy, which moves by diagonal. He moves random way. Left to right or opposite. And, it has a different step with x and y coordinates. That’s why, he can be rather unpredictable. It gives dynamics and some random things to game process!
So, mainly, there are three enemies types here. It is three enemies casual. They are simply throw little squares at you. In a different place. One more, it is response hit. When you knock down a block. It throws at you as a response same color. And third – diagonal. And that one is not for every level.
And, also, there is a bonus system. It is triple hit, double hit, and five time hit. It is based on statistics you receive during the level. Double hit – most simple. It is when you get +2 destroyer. And triple – when you collect 2 different colors with amount of 2 each. It will be by itself, naturally.
And most hard – for two skills sharp shooter - you get five hit! You can collect bonuses. They are with lineup idea. And they are in use automatically. So, you never miss anything. They works automatically as you get them. First goes most powerful, later - little less powerful and so on. It will speed up your gameplay on levels and gives dynamics to the game.
In game, bonuses you can see at the right. At the display. And diagonal territory is, also, shown at the right side. At the left you can see color statistics for level and skills. And, before start, you see number for a level!
And, it is, so, retro sci-fi game. And, everything is colorful. And, some text at the screen, it is shown. Something is happening all the time. You are moving. It happens, that enemy with a diagonal adds a lots of dynamics. And, it is, all time, goes indications events on a screen! So, this is 80s and fantastic, sci-fi! And about little cubes! And rectangles with different colors as idea!
Fantastic, sci-fi, 80s. So, this is what is it now! As a capabilities of 8 bit computers from that time. By the way, it is all programming with BBC Basic for Sdl2. It is more retro version of Basic. Programming itself is like that. More retro. More 80s. And game is going to be, also, this kind!
And, mainly, game is, almost, done. I need to check everything. To make levels themselves. And make a menus. And, game itself, it is, almost, done, I can say.
Basic Pascal version 1.18 "Duckling" – most newest version. In this version there are 4 new games! Puddles at Countryside, Duckling Pseudo 3D, Road to Countryside, Duckling Goes 2D. And even more retro games! It is a pack of retro games with modern versions of Basic and Pascal.
It is now in development new version Basic Pascal pack games. This game will be included in a new version.

Our system (traumagenic) is pretty unique. We're almost completely Introjects and nonhumans.
Our host is a fictive and a persecutor, even.
We have trauma related to source memories.
we frequently split fragments. We have an unknown alter count. We split easily and frequently, mainly during any strong emotion, even happiness, or we don't realize how we feel while our brain is panicking internally.
We have very. Strange. Triggers. And sometimes they trigger us and sometimes they don't. (A word, a color pallete, a color...)
We have a few other disorders.
And finally, we are very easily to fakeclaim yet somehow, we've only been fakeclaimed twice.
Your quirks are very similar to many systems I know!! I have a friend who has almost entirely introjected parts. We personally have trauma related to our source memories (which, for us, is directly related to the real life trauma we’ve faced). We don’t have fragments, ourselves, but I know many systems who split in the same way you’ve described; I’ve even heard one say they’ve split over stubbing their toe, to form a fragment who just handles stubbed toes. Triggers -- yeah, we relate heavily to that. We’ve got a name trigger that’s horribly triggering, and specific colors make specific parts get closer to the front!! We also have other disorders (as do many other systems, especially those who have comorbidities!). And, as for fakeclaiming -- I’m really happy for you, anon!! It’s never nice to be fakeclaimed, so I’m relieved it hasn’t happened much to you :)

🍄 🍐 and or 💬?
(All 3, let's go!)
🍄 - How did you get your system name?
Okay so technically a friend of ours thought of it.
But:
We've since extrapolated meaning from it that I will now share with you all.
For a little context: we grew up with musical theatre. We were majoring in it at university. And singing has always been important in our life. So in a general sense, we knew it had to be something surrounding that. Anyway,
I can't find it but we wrote a whole thing once about how
the concept of a songbook is a collection of a performer's go-to songs for auditions and such, and how some they may know much better than others, but they're all meaningful in some way to the performer, and each song helps showcase a different aspect of that person's abilities, and shows what they value and the versatility of the person. A performer will often take out old songs that no longer fit or serve them, and add new songs that they've only recently learned, but every song was once a part of the book. And I feel the same way about our system. We're all songs in the Songbook, and some of us are very new, and some of us have seen our worst and best moments. But we're all part of the same book, and we're all important for our own reasons.
That, and we've actually met and/or gotten to know a lot of headmates through singing.
While we were at school, we used to lock ourself in a practice room in the music building and do karaoke by ourself.
Specific songs had meaning/hit hard for some headmates, who would either have picked the song for that purpose, or have come to front during the song without even realizing. It's such a surreal experience.
🍐 - Are there any nonhuman headmates (in the system)?
Yes! Several! That number actually used to be much higher.
We've got a couple vampires, a couple werewolves, a couple introjects of dnd/LARP characters that are very unique (mostly elves but also some more obscure races). Uuummm... We have various magic users? Not sure if that counts... Some fae-adjacent people. A couple pure animals (A cat, a wolf, and a bird), a demon, a couple Time Lords, aaaaand whatever the hell Yakko Warner is.
💬 - Free space! Talk about anything!
OKAY SO
A number of us/our headmates have personal Spotify playlists and/or Pinterest boards. And I would absolutely love to link them for you if you want.
Also! We made a Google Slide Presentation about each of the headmates our friends were likely to meet!
Each headmate has 4 slides.
An Introductory Slide, containing basic information like name/pronouns as well as a little blurb about who they are/what they're like, and other info like system role, indicators when fronting, and likes and dislikes (sometimes containing positive/negative triggers).
A "faceclaim" Slide (we don't usually use the word faceclaim), which is covered in mostly Picrews or personal art of the headmate, to get a sense of what they look like.
An Aesthetics Slide, compiling a lot of stuff from their Pinterest board if they have one. Outfits and aesthetics indicative of their color pallete, Pinterest quotes, things of that nature.
Aaand a Miscellaneous Slide! Most of these are just a bunch of tumblr posts that "fit the vibe". Also other various memes, or pics dreamed "not sophisticated enough" for the Aesthetics Slide.
Another key feature of these slides is that everyone's slides are their favorite color, and the Introductory Slide is typed out in a font that either matches their vibes or is similar to their handwriting.
An example (that's probably outdated) can be seen in this post (cw aro discourse).
As always, feel free to ask whatever questions you want!!! Fill that inbox!!!
Thanks for asking/reading! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He'd been trying to figure it out for months. The issue with being a full-time villain is he can't always be there when shit goes down. Therefore, Toya's always forced to essentially play detective when things don't add up. He felt responsible for his little sister; after all, he'd forced her into this position. She never asked to be in charge. She never asked to be the oldest. Yet, that's the role she found herself fulfilling for ten years. Toya watched from afar, always out of sight and out of mind. After joining the league, his "visits" home were few and farther between, which annoyed him for several reasons. The main one was that he couldn't figure out where the bruises came from. His father, Natsuo, and Shoto kept asking her about it, but they were always met with the same answers.
"I just fell. Clumsy me!"
It didn't sit well in Toya's gut; something was off. Finally, he had his answer, and it made his blood boil. He watched from the alleyway in the rain with the hood of his jacket pulled up, otherwise his cheap hair dye would wash out. Fuyumi's boyfriend was physically and verbally abusing her in his apartment, screaming at his sister for some unknown reason. The window gave him only a glimpse of the incident, but all the pieces were falling into place. This son of a bitch that had been in his sister's life for years was hurting her.
A few moments later, Toya shrinks back into the shadows as he watches his little sister storm out of the apartment complex, waiting underneath the bus stop cover as she digs in her purse. She pulls out some sort of makeup pallet and brush, attempting to cover up the dark splashes on her skin as tears streak down her face. Toya glares up at the apartment window as the bus pulls up to the building, and Fuyumi hustles inside. Toya knows he can't risk being seen. As much as he wanted to, he can't just storm in there and burn the guy. That would be too obvious. That would connect him somehow to the victim, which could further connect the dots and expose his identity. Nonetheless, he refused to let this happen again; the asshole had to leave the building at some point. So...Toya waited.
...
Handjob: DABI?! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!
Toya rolls his eyes and shoves his phone back into his pocket. He'd been spammed nonstop with messages and calls from his comrades and colleagues. They could wait. This couldn't. It had been hours, and Toya was getting impatient. He leans up against the wall of the alleyway, staring at the entrance to the apartment complex as lightning shoots across the sky. The rain wasn't good for his staples, but he could just change them as soon as he returned to the base. He was already set in plan for the night. Fuyumi wouldn't be plagued with this guy anymore. Hell, she was probably like their mother: stuck in an abusive relationship without an escape plan.
Creeeaaak.
Toya's eyes blaze as he watches the man from the window stumble out of the doors before he waves down a car. Dabi looks at his watch. It's three o'clock in the morning. When he looks back up, he watches the guy get into the vehicle, screaming something about going downtown. Dabi zips up his black windbreaker to hide his face as he slowly trails after them in the shadows.
...
Dabi bides his time; after all, the more alcohol the drunken bastard had in his system, the brighter he'll burn. He watches the creep go from club to club, each time getting thrown out by a bouncer. It's only a matter of time before he passes the alleyway where Toya lies in wait. He's getting closer and closer, and the scarred villain looks around to make sure the coast is clear.
...
SWSSSSH!
Toya grabs the man by the throat and roughly jerks him into the darkness of the alleyway, clamping a hand over his mouth to silence him.
WHAM!
THUNK!
He knees the man between the legs as hard as he can after shoving him up against the brick wall, and the bastard groans in pain. Toya keeps his vice grip on his throat, preventing him from sinking to the ground as he writhes, and the asshole's eyes widen when he realizes who his attacker is. Thunder booms and lightning lights up across the skyline, making Dabi's staples sparkle.
"Do you know who I am?" The scarred man seethes, his brilliant blue eyes burning.
"Y-y-you're the BlueFlame villain! The one who killed Snatch!" The idiot drunkenly stammers, and Dabi shrugs slightly.
"Oh, well. Yeah. But does your feeble, twisted, little mind have any idea who I actually am?" Toya snaps, squeezing tighter until the man starts to choke. Without warning, he retracts his hand, reeling it back into a fist, and clocks the guy square in the face, breaking his nose.
"AH! FUCK! NO! NO! I DON'T!" The man screams, but his cries of pain are drowned out by the rain and thunder.
Dabi laughs threateningly under his breath before punching him again, and he grunts as he feels the force of the blow strain the staples in his wrist.
"Please! Please! Take my wallet! Take what I have! Please! I'll do anything!" The coward pleads, slurring on his swollen lip. Dabi takes a step back and blinks, letting the man gather himself.
"Oh, you'll do anything you say?" Dabi hisses, his raspy voice turning into a psychotic cackle.
"Absolutely anything! Yes!" The man begs, getting on his knees and clasping his hands together. Dabi's eye twitches as he puts his thumbs in the pockets of his jeans and peers down at him.
"Anything?" Dabi repeats, bursting into insane laughter.
"W-what's so funny?" The man laughs nervously, and Dabi smiles cruelly as he squats down, making himself eye-level.
"How about completely cutting off Fuyumi Todoroki?" Dabi whispers, his crazed smile slowly turning into an emotionless, cold-blooded stare by the time he finishes the sentence. The man blinks, confused.
"I-I'm sorry? What?" He stutters dumbly, suddenly terrified for a completely different reason.
"I said," Dabi chuckles before kicking the man in the chest, forcing him onto his back. Before he can move, Toya harshly steps on the man's chest, leaning down and resting his wrist on his knee as he growls:
"How about completely cutting off Fuyumi Todoroki."
The man gulps and weakly attempts to struggle, and Toya grits his teeth as he grinds his heel harder.
"Wh-who are you?" The guy sputters, and Toya removes his hood. The incessant rain soaks his hair and, slowly, the black dye drips down his face until his natural snow-white hair shines in the moonlight. Fuyumi's boyfriend's eyes widen, and his jaw drops.
"T-T-T," He stutters.
"Yeah, that's right. I'm her big brother. Toya Todoroki," Dabi says flatly, an amused smirk spreading on his face at the sheer horror he's inflicted.
"B-but, you're dead! You died! They showed me your altar!" He slurs, but Toya just laughs.
"Ashes to ashes. Now, aren't you gonna introduce yourself? I am her big brother, after all," Toya grins, blinking and holding out his open palm in an "I'm waiting" gesture.
"I-I'm M-"
"Eh, I don't care," Toya scoffs before suddenly flexing his open palm outward, sending a swath of blue flames right at his victim's face. He grits his teeth as he keeps his Quirk flowing, determined to not let the rain snuff out his flames until the body is fully incinerated. Slowly, his raised heel clicks to the ground as his body weight crushes through the burning skeleton, and it turns to ash under his boot. With a sharp inhale, he clenches his fist, extinguishing the blast as he recalls his Quirk; the rain makes quick work of the rest of the flames, and a sickening sizzle echoes through the alleyway. The downpour turns what's left of his sister's abuser into grime and muck, and Dabi pulls his hood back up, wiping some of the remaining droplets of black dye off of his forehead.
"Well, guess I gotta stop somewhere and touch up before I go back home. Maybe I'll grab some dinner for everyone so I don't get bitched out," Dabi sighs, putting his hands in his pockets as he walks back out onto the sidewalk.
Baldur's Gate 3 - Amazing and Sometimes Awful [Quick Review]
Baldur's Gate 3 is a herculean feat of game development with amazing voice acting work spread across it's many many hours, fantastic character designs, interesting gameplay and more. It also suffers from D&Ds character progression systems, the way the games worlds are set up, and the system of true RNG that it is emulating. Beyond that the game despite it's own beauty is extremally buggy and faces significant late game performance issues. However, the game does some stand out things for queerness that a lot of other RPGs fail at. This game is a mixed bag that might also be game of the year.
With over 122 hours logged into the game I feel fairly confident in my ability to access what I experienced but given how big of an undertaking it is I genuinely think someone else's experience may be different. I chose to not side with either the grove or the goblins and moved onto act 2 without doing that and that may have added to the count of bugs but the fact that was an option means that it isn't "My fault" that I experienced so many bugs on my playthrough. I had party members despawning, quests saying I could do something that I couldn't do because the NPCs were not in the area they were supposed to be, getting ques for things that should have went into act 3 that were missing, in the end of act 3 characters missing from the end bits and at the very end textures just all vanishing for my last few hours.
I didn't really get to experience the romance the game had to offer. I started a fling with Lae'zel which apparently locked me out of most other romances but randomly gave me a Wyll Romance scene, a man I never deployed not once the whole game. I realized playing the game I didn't long rest enough and missed out on my chance to romance Shadow Heart whom I really wanted to romance and even though I broke things off with Lae'zel I could never progress a romance with Shadowheart, Karlache or Minthara. I want to feel this romances and see everything they have to offer but sadly the game denied me this.
The game lacks body diversity and the limited pallet of faces feels too limited in character customization. There is sadly no time in which despite being able to have a trans body I am able to talk to someone about being trans that I found not am I ever able to reject a romantic advance by stating my sexuality or disinterest in a gender. Instead it is taken as read that I am bisexual and that I am rejecting them for them and not because like from the onset they weren't on the table for my desires. I am however, not a bisexual but a lesbian and I would love to be able to say that.
That said this game does make strives to doing something I've not really seen other games do with playsexual characters which is to make them have queer history. I didn't get every characters backstories but I did get backstories for Astrian and for Shadowheart which both imply that previous to our adventures they had mostly been with their own gender. Astrian has a litany of male lovers which he courted and gave to his master, he seems to prefer men and he describes his attraction to them. Meanwhile, Shadowheart seems to have had a girlfriend before her memories were removed, perhaps an ex that was a Transgender Woman who turned to Sharr although this is more subtextual than Astrian's due to her memory loss.
These little bits of queer history make them feel much more lived and their sexualities not feel like it was because I am super special but because they are earnestly queer and I happened to have the kind of personality and body their attracted to. There is also some amount of queer NPCs not tied to our PCs although they are in the minority in a majority heteronormative cast.
The game does make some strives to fix some of the things that are terrible about D&D removing the alignment system allowing for characters to simply exist in a much more complex moral web than a box of 9 check marks for morality lets you do and a toning down of racial abilities which helps lessen D&Ds inherent eugenics. However, it does not escape D&D's racism problem with the game mostly having a lot of the characters be racist good and bad and not having counter examples of races like Goblins being good or like an important good drow or something. The companions "Racial" make up are very classic fantasy squad. 2 Elves, 2 half elves, 3 humans, 1 Drow, 1 Gith. In terms of race as we see it in the real world we got one black character and everyone else is pretty white or are a fantasy skin color and white coded maybe baring Lae'zel but idk what Lae'zel's culture is supposed to represent if there is a real world equivalent. Of course also everyone in the world able bodied and skinny or maybe if they are the right race buff. I haven't seen everyone fuck but it appears to me that everyone is cisgender. The game can't do everything but I certainty wish the game did more. The probably most offensive to me being the promoted and marketed Polyamory simply not existing and came from their own misunderstanding of the word, you can fuck around you at least in my experience can't be in multiple committed romantic relationships. That should be fixed given they marketed the game and I don't even need them to address each other just allow it to happen since it was sold to me on the idea I could kiss multiple girls romantically.
There is a total sense of wonder in doing the game thing in new ways and seeing all the ways you can handle situations and all the different outcomes. From multiple files to save scum stuff to hearing people talk about their runs I've seen tons of different ways even my highly buggy end game which did not run well I could see where if it wasn't having all the running issues I had I would have been blown away by all the options they gave me for the last 3 battles of the game. I still thought it was really cool even when it was bugging out. The game constantly threw fun new things at you, little challenges, great moments of roleplaying where it feels like your choices mattered and you could do something cool to get out of a situation. This game might be the game that has most successfully captured the magic of roleplaying in a video game.
The characters being a stand out factor in this in that I found several of the characters to be highly compelling even one man which if you know me is a massive accomplishment. I found Astrian's plot to be really captivating, I really loved Shadowheart's story, I thought some of the NPC stories were really well done too, as a character focused story teller I loved the character work that went into even characters I wasn't particularly in love with. Everyone feels like they can grow and grow in different ways too for bad or for good and often even pretending a pretty objectively bad choice can be flavored with enough deniability to understand why someone might make that choice as a character and not just like because video game let me choice bad choice. I think the characters stories make up a coherent theme I really wanna dive more into but will be restrained on here. They all deal with control. Everyone is dealing with different levels of someone's strings on them and a different relationship to those strings. How those relationships change and evolve over time is really compelling and how they compare to each other is really great. Overall, I love BG3, I think it might be my favorite game I played so far this year [but I do have a backlog, Stray Gods, En Garde!, Super Lesbian Animal RPG] and one of my favorite games in general. IF not for it's massive file size I think it's a game I'd keep installed all year round and just randomly jump into all the time. For now I am still playing, still enjoying but more than anything I am hoping by the time I beat the game a second time it is a lot smoother. If you enjoyed this kind of One Take review let me know, I wanted to try my Yuri manga format for a video game review because nobody reads my game reviews but I felt like I wanted to talk about the game. So instead of putting the huge amounts of work into the review like I normally do I wanted to just try this. If you did enjoy it one way to let me know is by supporting me on Patreon or Ko-fi or you can just reblog or comment. I might revisit the game with a more in depth review or looks more in depth at how it handles queerness or about the story and other stuff like that.
Shoulder Mates
Hi I’m shouting into the void an idea that I have been cooking up for a hot second:
The basic premise is that there are office spaces for the Angels and Demons on your shoulder. In order to run these companies (and also while being in competition), each decision made by their Shoulder Mate (the subject in decision) is sent to their space and is counted as a Clavicle Point. Each creature is sent to Earth by them going through a paper file created from their Shoulder Mate and they return the same way after completing the mission. If they fail to persuade the subject to their side, they get closer and closer to termination. If, however, a Shoulder Mate refuses both advice, a half a point gets sent back to the office.
This idea came about in this world because after becoming tired of helping mortals make decisions for themselves, Archfiend and Providence (basically the Devil and God but not exclusively a curtain religion) came to a mutual decision to create a division of immortals to do the job for them. In order for this concept to be integrated into society, they started to send out ideas to artists that made these ideas into stories.
Facts and Tidbits
Termination to the Angels is making them fall from their status and becoming a Demon. It’s their way of giving them a second chance while also making the Angel someone they despise. Demon Termination is being completely whipped off the face of the universe.
The style of workspace evolved with society (Currently it resembles an office cubicle). The styles of immortals also represent the art of different cartoons throughout the centuries.
The cartoon idea came about because the Angel/Demon Shoulder concept was popularized by cartoons.
Cartoon styles can mix together to create a unique look.
This was inspired by Good Omens, Monsters Inc., and Helluva Boss/Hasbin Hotel (Spite). I was inspired to redesign my old characters because a lot of artists were redesigning Hasbin characters.
In the Hell Office Space, fallen angels cannot be recognized not only because of how different they look, but because it’s part of the punishment. The only way they can be recognized is if someone starts to piece together their past life. Higher ups can instantly recognize one, however.
All Angels wear name tags as a way to help with names while demons don’t because they don’t really care about formalities.
Angel is on the Right, Demon is on the Left
Angels are mainly humanoid while Demons are mainly nonhumanoid.
If a Demon gets an Angel demoted, they instantly go up the ladder and join the higher ups in making the office decisions.
They were created to be Nondenominational (anyone can have them)
Fallen Angel Punishment typically includes: Ripped Wings, Shorting of Hight, Broken or taken away Halo, Hell Color Pallet, Elements added depending on what they did, Is no longer Humanoid, and an Animation Style Change.
Angels are under a filter, so they can not curse or say anything close to it. However, higher up Angels do not have a filler. Demons have no filter system at all.
Slogan of Both Sides: “Creators got tired of making decisions, so they created the Shoulder Division.”
My Critiques of Fashion Dreamer
A lot of my critiques of Fashion Dream are QOL stuff that was in Style Savvy that honestly seem puzzling that they are missing from Fashion Dreamer.
Namely a more robust filtering system. The game will as for Unique, Elegant and even Cute/Cool without showing an example of what that is and you are left to guess. Often getting it wrong.
Same with colors. The GAME knows that you didn't use beige because it didn't count for beige (even though it should have) so sorting out the "tan" from the "beige" would be helpful.
as would yellow from !yellow because the game is asking for yellow, and not counting it as yellow, and then giving you a yellow pallete with the yellow you used on it. Let me sort the "Not yellow" from the "Yellow" I don't even know what Unique even is. Even PriPara All Idol Perfect Stage (Switch) has a better filter system:
Color Brand Style So why did they get rid of it and leave it to guesswork? Another critique is the mobile game rates on having rare items drop from the Gacha machine. I don't even think lucky color affects it, which what is the reason for Lucky Color? ( I tried and not one items was above level 2) And the Gacha tickets are so rare!
Would be nice to also see what colors of an item you have or even if the custom item is just default Eve color.
ZOOM IN! This game needs a way to zoom in on item during a Lookit. Glasses are really hard to see the color of even if you use the Switch Zoom option. And/or having a color swatch to see what the item uses.
Tips are repeated in the menu. If it's already popped up, only show me new tips in the menu. No options for voice language. The Male voices in English sound like chipmunks. I also see a lot of localization.... grossness going on as well with changing the names. (It's the typical: Everything has to be white and American save the times we want them to be EXOTIC!) And then there is Incel Tercell... I mean Tenacious Tercell who won't take "no" for an answer.
This is a little pedantic, but GBA is generally 15 colors, and also only 15 bit color. Or at least that's what a sprite gets to do. Technically you could use more than one sprite and achieve 30+ colors, but most games don't really operate that way because of pallets limitations, and the system as a whole can't produce more than 512 colors (realistically 481, but who's counting?) at a time without some clever programming.
Whether you're importing goods or distributing products locally, having a reliable partner to handle container logistics can significantly improve your operational efficiency. Businesses across Melbourne are increasingly relying on specialized container pick up and delivery services Melbourne to streamline their freight handling processes, reduce delays, and maintain a steady workflow.
The logistical challenges involved in moving containers from ports to warehouses, and eventually to distribution centers or retail locations, require expert coordination. This is where professional container logistics services come into play. Timely container pickups from the port and efficient last-mile delivery can make or break a business, especially in industries where every hour counts. By using advanced tracking systems and maintaining a well-coordinated fleet, these services provide real-time updates and ensure goods are handled with care and punctuality.
Another critical aspect of freight logistics is container unpacking services Melbourne. Once a container reaches its destination, the unpacking process must be managed efficiently to avoid damages and delays. These services typically involve unloading, sorting, palletizing, and preparing goods for further transportation or storage. For businesses that handle high volumes of imported goods, outsourcing unpacking operations ensures a smoother process and frees up internal resources.
Container unpacking is more than just taking items out of a box—it requires attention to detail, proper handling equipment, and trained staff to avoid any disruptions or losses. Professional unpacking providers follow strict procedures, ensuring that each item is accounted for and processed correctly. This level of precision helps businesses minimize downtime and accelerate the transition from shipment arrival to sales or distribution.
Choosing the right service provider for both container transportation and unpacking plays a pivotal role in operational success. A trustworthy company offers tailored solutions to meet unique business requirements, whether it’s handling hazardous materials, temperature-sensitive goods, or oversized equipment. They ensure compliance with Australian regulations and industry standards, providing peace of mind to their clients.
Virk Transport Services offers a dependable approach to container logistics, bringing a high level of professionalism and efficiency to every job. Their team understands the critical timelines associated with port operations and warehouse management, ensuring your goods arrive when and where you need them. With a customer-first mindset, they have developed a strong reputation in Melbourne’s competitive freight market.
Investing in quality logistics services is not just about cost—it’s about long-term reliability, scalability, and maintaining a competitive edge. As Melbourne continues to grow as a commercial hub, the demand for specialized container unpacking services Melbourne and container transport solutions will only increase. Businesses that prioritize logistics as a strategic function will be better equipped to adapt to changes, manage risks, and seize new opportunities.
From small businesses to large corporations, the benefits of outsourcing container logistics are clear. Reduced handling times, minimized errors, and faster turnaround contribute directly to customer satisfaction and business growth. As industries evolve, so too must their logistics operations, and aligning with experienced service providers is the first step toward future-ready supply chains.
