Red Sea | Gojo Satoru

Prologue

Synopsis: After so long apart, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto come together to negotiate amid chaos, but remembering the past can be very painful.

Two men.

Gathered in a colorful abyss waiting for salvation and to be the saviors of humanity.

Both want the same things, but in different ways, one will sacrifice himself if possible for his goals, the other will sacrifice everything necessary to achieve his goals.

Face to face, beautiful and tragic memories came back to the surface, just looking at their eyes again was as if pieces of broken glass passed through their eyes, marks that were on their bodies did not erase what they both felt, nor what they felt.

Now, as an irony of fate, the most powerful men in humanity, gathered again in negotiations, ready to give and end everything that each other meant.

"Suguru."

"Satoru. It's been a while, hasn't it?" The black-haired man just smiled calmingly, even after everything, he was happy to meet his friend once again.

"That's right... I didn't think this meeting would happen... Under these circumstances." The platinum just sighed in defeat, his heavenly blue eyes swept over the scene, as ironically, it was very... Relaxing.

Satoru could breathe deeply there, as if no worry could catch him in that place, a sunset warmed them in a calming way, at the same time as a nostalgic breeze enveloped them.

"Surprised, aren't you? This place always helps me think. Oh, how's Floki? I've never seen that gluttonous ball of beauty again."

Floki... A name that squeezed Satoru's heart, an old friend who gave him so many positive emotions but who now belongs to the thousands of pieces of glass scattered around.

"Floki is no more." Steady, impatient eyes contrasted with Suguru's sharp eyes that fell a little at the statement. "What do you want anyway, Suguru?"

"I want Sukuna's seven fingers."

"Why do you need them?" Suguru's loud laugh would normally make him shiver, but after so many years apart and seeing the direction of their lives, nothing shook him anymore.

"Don't act stupid, Satoru, it doesn't suit your age anymore, it's not even necessary to be a genius for what I want with the fingers."

"If I give it to you, what will you give me in return?" Satoru just sighed, but curiously, he couldn't think of anything worthy of the exchange of fingers from the near destruction of the world.

"A soul."

"Soul?"

"You're still slow huh? Just the soul of Phoenix Leblanc."

Satoru's blue eyes just widened, shock coursing through his body, as if just that name invoked climate change in him and him alone, a vague feeling of nostalgia returned at the idea, but he quickly dismissed it, he knows it's impossible to bring someone back to life, he knows, because he's already tried. The results he obtained torment him to this day, haunted by the idiocy he committed that day.

He just looked at Suguru in disbelief, he knew that at this point, there would be no saving the man from the firm, psychotic eyes in front of him.

Geto, by using the name of the most important person to Gojo, who knew well what Phoenix Leblanc meant to the platinum artist, showed himself to be cruel, very cruel.

He couldn't simply believe in these absurdities, even though the depths of his consciousness tried to convince him to accept, he knew that when he accepted, he didn't know how this "soul" worked, but he knew that "soul" would never be his Phoenix.

He would be subject to going through the loss a second time, and he refuses if that's the case, Gojo knew he would never recover again, he could finally understand Geto Suguru if that happened, and maybe that's what Geto wants, a way for both of them to come together and destroy this rotten world.

He just looked back at the warm sun, sighing.

Not this time Suguru.

Forgive me.

Forgive me Phoenix.

"Straight forward as always. You have indeed gone crazy."

"Maybe I be."

"I don't know how you intended to resurrect someone, but-

"It's not resurrecting, her soul is alive, even if it's not in front of us, she's alive in our memories, and in the memories of everyone who knows her, and in her following stories ahead, like a haunting that doesn't go away, no Do you want to get rid of this curse?"

Could he subject himself to that?

Was Phoenix's soul still alive?

...

No.

No more.

Satoru will not be like his best friend, a desperate guy looking for meaning after losing his own.

He already has meanings, she is waiting for him at home, watching television, perhaps playing with dolls and searching his room for sweets.

He wasn't strong enough to protect her, but he will be strong enough to protect his ideas and pass them on.

"I'm fine like this, and I'm not going to accept your proposal, it wouldn't benefit me in...anything."

"..."

"I see, so know that we will be at complete odds from now on."

"Alright, we'll be ready."

With this, the comforting domain disperses with the wind, giving vision to a worn and old office, once a colorful place full of life, but now, it has just become just another one.

He knew that now there was going to be a war, he was arrogant enough to accept it, and arrogant enough to know that he will win.

It does not matter anymore.

He sat in the wheelchair watching Suguru leave the room, realizing that their ideals had separated them once again, like a barrier that had separated them since that day, that time he couldn't do anything for his best friend, joining his list of life regrets that he doesn't have the courage to shake off.

"Not even the strongest can protect everyone..."

Sighing, before looking at the picture frame with four figures, a woman with a clumsy flower crown in her flaming red hair, a cute and frowning kitten perched on her head, himself hugging his shoulder with one arm while in the other he held his entire life, slightly pink hair like theirs smiling beautifully at the camera, and a crown of flowers on his head, along with the smiles that everyone had.

Satoru smiled fondly as he looked at his family, running his finger gently over the photo.

"It's time."

My headcanons for the rest of the Gavinners based on what I think would be funny

Larry "Laurice Deauxnim" Butz, the drummer and a courtroom sketch artist. He also does all their album artwork. Larry is the drummer because a rock music stereotype is the drummer is the wild one who gets babes.

Sebastian Debeste, the keyboard player and a prosecutor. They also play piano sometimes. Their androgyny has launched dozens of ship wars in the Gavinners' rabid fangirls because they're too young and straight to know what 'non-binary' means.

Kaydon LeBlanc, the bassist. Easily the most mysterious of the band. Nobody knows about his private life or his legal profession… because that's actually Kay Faraday, Private Eye, who poses as a guy because she loves to do a little trolling.

Matthew Perry, best known for playing Chandler Bing in the hit TV sitcom Friends, has died at 54, according to reports.

Perry drowned at his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, sources including a representative for the actor and law enforcement told NBC News. Other US outlets also reported Perry had died.

After small roles in Growing Pains, Beverly Hills 90210 and Dream On, Perry scored a role in NBC sitcom Friends in 1994. The comedy, about six friends living in New York City, quickly became a phenomenon, winning multiple Emmys and scoring record ratings.

Perry went on to play the sarcastic and neurotic Chandler in 10 seasons with the 2004 finale reaching over 52 million viewers in the US, making it the most watched TV episode of the 2000s.

“People come up to me every day and say, ‘Hey Chandler!’ I don’t respond to it,” he said in a 2014 interview. “If somebody says, ‘Hi Matthew, I love your work’, that’s one thing. But if somebody goes ‘Yo, Chandler’, I don’t like that. I’m tired of it. I’m not Chandler.”

Perry was born in Massachusetts in 1969 to an American father and a Canadian mother, who would later move her son to Ottawa to work as a press aide to Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau. In his bestselling 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry recalled acting up after his father abandoned his family to chase his own dreams of becoming an actor – including bullying a young Justin Trudeau. “I decided to end my argument with him when he was put in charge of an entire army,” he wrote.

At 15 Perry moved to Hollywood, with the hope of reconnecting with his father. It was there he began to enjoy acting, and was eventually spotted at a diner, “charming a bunch of young women”, by director William Richert, who left a note asking him to be in his next movie, A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, alongside River Phoenix.

Perry was 24 when he started playing Chandler and was relatively unknown, just like his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. In a 2019 interview, Friends creator David Crane said Chandler was the most difficult character to cast; actors Craig Bierko, Jon Cryer and Jon Favreau were also considered for the role.

“Marta [Kauffman, co-creator] and I were thinking Chandler is just poorly written,” added Crane. “Then Matthew came in and you went, ‘Oh, well, there you go. Done. Done. That’s the guy.’”

Perry was nominated for an Emmy award five times, including once for his Friends role and twice for his role as lawyer Joe Quincy on The West Wing.

During his tenure on Friends, Perry starred in films including Fools Rush In with Salma Hayek, Three to Tango with Neve Campbell and The Whole Nine Yards with Bruce Willis. He also played small roles in Ally McBeal and Scrubs.

In a 2002 interview with the New York Times, he confessed: “I wanted to be famous so badly. You want the attention, you want the bucks, and you want the best seat in the restaurant. I didn’t think what the repercussions would be.”

Perry’s personal life was afflicted by addiction, starting in 1997 when he became addicted to pain medication after a jetski accident. He later claimed to not remember three years of his time on Friends and to spending over $9m on his fight to stay sober.

“I was taking 55 Vicodin a day, I weighed 128lbs, I was on Friends getting watched by 30 million people – and that’s why I can’t watch the show, because I was brutally thin,” he said. Perry later admitted he had suffered severe anxiety “every night” while filming the show and felt nothing when the show ended.

Once Friends ended in 2004, Perry’s next small-screen lead was in Aaron Sorkin’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which was cancelled after one season. In 2009 he starred in hit comedy 17 Again alongside Zac Efron, and later guest-starred on both The Good Wife and The Good Fight.

Perry also led one season sitcom Go On and a remake of The Odd Couple which lasted for three seasons. In 2016 he wrote and starred in play The End of Longing which opened in the West End and later transferred to Broadway.

In 2019, he was put in a two-week coma when his colon exploded due to opiate abuse; he had 14 surgeries due to his opiate abuse. “At this point in my life, the words of gratitude pour out of me because I should be dead, and yet somehow I am not,” he wrote in last year’s Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which was a hit with readers and critics. The Guardian’s Barbara Ellen called the memoir “harrowing and revealing about the juncture where extreme compound addiction collides with mega-celebrity”.

“You have to get famous to know that it’s not the answer. And nobody who is not famous will ever truly believe that,” Perry wrote.

OC LOREDROP PRETTY PLEASE??

okayyy!!! i haveeeee soooooo many OCs, i'm going to talk about the ones from the fairy realm part in my story!!

right, so one of my deuteragonists from the previous part of the story, Hana Kaetsu, in the fantasy arc, accidentally gets sent to the fairy realm by reading a letter from a mysterious group mistakenly delivered to her, that was actually meant for her classmate Sybil Villin who's secretly a witch (she's pretty open about her interest in making potions and researching the supernatural and all that but ofc everyone just thinks she's interested in it cause. people don't generally believe in that anymore). anywayyyyy cause of Hana's little misadventure there, she because one of four people in her class who are now able to see ghosts and other supernatural creatures due to now having a connection with the supernatural. the other three are Sybil, ofc, cause she's a witch, her friend Naoki Himura because he managed to free and summon the ghost of their murdered classmate Ashley Atwell, and Ash herself cause. ghost

butttt before being able to return to the human world after Sybil, Naoki and Ash figured out what was going on when she suddenly disappeared (only they noticed that Hana had gone missing due to her disappearance being of supernatural causes, and them being the only ones around who have that experience- for everyone else, it's as if Hana never existed but they remember her again as if nothing happened after she returns), Hana met Sybil's "coven" (which is a gathering of witches, but they're not all witches, half of them are fae), the coven being the one who tried to address that letter to Sybil, wanting her back as she'd suddenly lost contact with them for a few years. where Hana ends up after being transported there is a village in the fairy realm called "Glacialisville" and the forests surrounding it, a slightly cold area that gets very snowy winters and not very warm summers, only about 25 degrees Celsius max. also quite windy and prone to storms

the coven consists of:

Lady Esmerelda- a forty-six year old witch who is basically the leader, currently the lady of the mansion they are based in, "Glacies Manor" though she doesn't own it, just looking after it until Rowan feels prepared enough to take on the responsibility. adoptive mother of Rowan and Dahlia

Rowan Leblanc- a nineteen year old witch. his bio mother was executed for being caught practicing witchcraft- her and her ancestors were the true owners of Glacies Manor and are a long line of very powerful witches (though are known for having slightly unstable magic compared to others), including a particularly infamous one...

Dahlia Leblanc- a seventeen year old vampire who was banished from the vampire realm, in which she was princess of one of the royal families. disowned due to not being considered a "real" vampire as she was born with an incredibly rare and tricky condition that made her highly allergic to blood

Marceline- a seventeen year old witch, old friends with Sybil and the one who set out to find her again. Marcy is incredibly skilled with a sword and plans to enrol into the uni below

Belle, Olivier and Ciel Krieger- twenty year old fairy triplets who attend an university that specifies in training future members of the fairy army with sword fighting, archery etc

Nixie- a seventeen year old unique type of fairy that can shape shift- however he can only turn into creatures that humans consider fictional, such as a unicorn, pegasus, phoenix, dragon, mermaid

Ghost- twelve years old, a type of fairy known as changeling who was switched into an awful family in the human world. Lady Esme found her and immediately saved and took her in after seeing how she was treated due to being fae. cannot speak due to having a damaged throat from that "family" trying to kill her by stabbing, prefers to mainly communicate through drawings and miming. is able to communicate with these jelly-like floating creatures around the forest who she often holds tea parties with

Lillie- a twelve year old witch who looks up to the older witches in the coven (Lady Esme, Marcy and especially Rowan due to him being very older brotherly) who is incredibly excited about becoming able to use controlled magic at thirteen (spoiler- doesn't happen, she's murdered four days before her thirteenth birthday)

need two more characters to make a whole "thirteen" for the coven feel, haven't thought of them yet

other major characters!! Dahlia and Marcy's college classmates, all also seventeen (well. probably not cause birthdays and all that but i haven't figured it out yet. they attend Glacialisville College of Arts, where they have compulsory English (mixed Lang and Lit), Maths and History + three or occassionally four creative subjects:

Vie von Vogelblut- a vampire who suffered similar trauma to Dahlia, being thrown out of the vampire realm due to disownment. he lives with his equally disowned aunt and her daughter, Rouge, who while technically his cousin, is more like his older sister. Rouge is four years older than him, twenty-one, and also goes to that army uni thing that the Krieger triplets go to. Vie is somewhat childhood friends with Dahlia, he's basically her second brother, she's his second sister. he takes Hair and Makeup, German, Creative Writing and Theatre

Raphael- a fairy who was immediately adopted into the group by the extroverted Dahlia and ends up being very good friends with Vie. Raffi takes Drawing and Painting, Photography and Arabic

Clarissa- a fiery fairy who's besties with Dahlia, frenemies with Vie. idk what she takes yet

Alexandrite- a witch who's particularly gifted with elemental magic. takes Drawing and Painting, Sculpture and Photography

Nora- a fairy who's rather wary of flying due to being visually impaired and there being less to feel in the air. she has a Golden Retriever called Leo as a service animal and she takes Violin, Creative Writing and Song Writing

Natalie and Amaryllis- a pair of fairy sisters who've been through some crap (father lured to death by a demon). they both get along well with Vie. apart from her sister and Vie, Amy's only friends with Dahlia and Alexandrite due to severe social anxiety and Nat's much more outgoing and on very good terms with most in college. Amy and Nora also wanted to be friends due to having similar fashion sense, however, there was a communication barrier due to Nora's visual impairment and Amy being selectively mute (so Nora wouldn't be able to read what Amy writes but at the same time, Amy's unable to speak to her) but!! they both decide to learn Morse code (Amy taps her messages onto Nora's hand) so they eventually get to get along. idk all the subjects the sisters take yet, but Nat does Photography as one of them and Amy takes Hair and Beauty (same class as Vie)

oh yeah i forgot about Dion- Clarissa's cousin, just kind of a bitch really

I’ve seen people saying that since the copyright ran out on Sherlock Holmes, capcom should change the dgs localization of Herlock Sholmes to Sherlock Holmes. And to be clear, im not here to rag on them for saying that, but personally, i think his name should stay as Herlock Sholmes, for a couple reasons.

One: its so funny. I love this bit. its so so funny. i laugh if i think too hard about it. the blatant avoidance of copyright laws. the allusion to the first guy to do it (Maurice LeBlanc, who wrote Arsène Lupin contre Herlock Sholmès in 1908). i love it here.

Two: since the character himself is a parody of the sherlock holmes stories, i believe that it would be consistent with his character to keep the name as is. his entire bit as a character, as i understand it, is to have him deduce the same thing that sherlock does and in doing so the game highlights how ridiculous/absurd those conclusions are. sure, the lack of context does help with the absurdity, but having an entire game mechanic being centered around making the deduction make sense does so as well

Three: imagine how freaking funny it would be if they introduced a separate character called sherlock holmes. we can have herlock sholmes meet sherlock holmes. it would fix Phoenix’s “sherlock holmes II baby.” it would be so funny. please. think about it.

Phoenix Wright: Dragón Claro. El dragón viene de su nombre japonés, Ryūichi, donde ryū significa dragón. Su apellido tiene el mismo efecto que Wright y Naruhodō, es una palabra que se utiliza mucho para decir "ah, ya veo." Apodos para Dragón incluyen Gon, Dragoncito mío, etc.

Mia Fey: Sandra Fatum. Sandra viene del griego, y significa "protectora." "Fatum" significa hada en latín. Los nombres de pila de sus parientes empiezan con "S" en esta versión.

Larry Butz: Pere Comonó. Su apellido japonés viene a significar "ya lo sabía," y Comonó es una adaptación de eso. La gente suele llamarlo Pero, otro apodo del nombre Pedro, haciendo así un chiste con "pero cómo no." En su clase, se decía "Si algo huele mal, va a ser Pere, cómo no."

Miles Edgeworth: Abel Sable. Abel hace referencia a que es el hijo predilecto de su mentor. Su apellido Sable, además de sonar bien junto a su nombre de pila, es una referencia tanto al "edge" de su nombre inglés como al "剣" ("ken") del japonés, ambos de los cuales referencian las espadas.

Dick Gumshoe: Hércules Ganimard. Por Hércules Poirot y el inspector Ganimard, detectives de ficción de Agatha Christie y Maurice Leblanc. Hércules por ser un tío grande.

Marvin Grossberg: Gordon de la Montaña. Está gordo, y tanto su nombre japonés como el inglés hacen referencia a las montañas.

April May: Violeta Rosas. Por los colores y las flores.

Redd White: Rogelio Blanco. Por los colores, igual que en inglés.

Gatewater Hotel: Hotel Puertagua. Directamente del Watergate, parodiándolo.

New League of Legends chromas have surfaced, but we can’t have them

The LPL has long been one of League of Legends‘ most competitive regions, with the MOBA‘s premier tournaments having been dominated by the likes of FunPlus Phoenix, Invictus Gaming, and Edward Gaming in recent years. As the LPL approaches its ten-year anniversary, some new LoL chromas have popped up ahead of time, but it looks like Western players can’t add them to their cosmetic arsenal. First spotted by LoL Context-Chan on Twitter, the chromas are absolutely stunning. Dedicated to ten of the tournament’s most decorated players, there are chromas for Fiora, Kai’Sa, LeBlanc, Lucian, Malphite, Sejuani, Sett, Twisted Fate, Yuumi, and Zoe. Of course, these spread like wildfire, but the caveat is that LoL Context-Chan claims that they are “only CN server,” meaning that it’s likely they won’t be released in the West. I read that, and honestly I could have cried – just look at that LeBlanc skin, or the Vayne one. And, these come right off of the back of Legends of Runeterra getting an exclusive Coven Janna skin. I’m so done. A list of League of Legends skins on the Chinese server that celebrate 10 years of the LOLIt’s not the first time that we’ve seen Chinese-exclusive chromas, including the absolutely stunning Rose Quartz ones. Given the LPL is obviously China’s league, it makes sense that these Chromas would be confined to that server, but it does also have a huge international viewership, too. I run IG Rakan all the time – in fact, it’s probably my favorite Rakan skin. I also love IG LeBlanc and EDG Viego, and see IG Kai’Sa and Camille played pretty frequently. I’m sure these chromas would do well in the West, so please, pretty please Riot, let us have them? While I wait with bated breath, there are a whole lot of new League of Legends skins on the horizon – including the absolutely gorgeous La Ilusión looks – for me to splash the cash on.
