Someone's cover is about to get blown away if he doesn't hastily retreat behind the cut primebot.

(At least, I hope he's worried about his cover getting blown away instead of his forcefield finally fizzling out by the last blow, because him being worried about getting shot again would mean his forcefield has a limit... of what... 7 shots? 8-10, if we count the laser as stronger than a regular bullet?)

Anyway, all this would in turn mean...

(Mind you, this is the first frame of him right after he shoots the hostile primebot.)

Primebot was quite a mystery for hermits.

It made sense that Grumbot and Jrumbot were fixated on Mumbo- their purpose was to make him mayor! But Mumbo wasn't even there when Primebot was created!

Everything cleared up when Grian became immediately clingy to Mumbo upon his return.

It seems like a bit of the creator tends to seep into the creations

It's cute, though they maybe need to talk to Grian about it. Because they'd really rather Grian's next creation not try to destroy whichever world they're in - with them still in it.

But it can wait until Grian can bear to be further than a foot away from Mumbo. They deserve their happy reunion.

Evil Morty showing real emotions when nobody is watching

Minus all the smug/expressionless/annoyed/tired/miserable ones because then it'd be every screenshot he's in.

(I'm not sure what he's mad about here... Is he jealous that Rick C-137 cared enough for Morty Prime to pull him in the portal without doing the same to Evil Morty? Is he recalling all the times he had been manhandled roughly by Ricks and does not appreciate the reminder? Is he thinking that Rick C-137 might be physically abusive towards Morty Prime? Does he think poorly of Morty Prime for allowing himself to be grabbed by Rick/relying on Rick to keep him safe? We can't tell.)

(Assuming Freaky Mortys: Unmorticken Edition theory is true, this is actually Evil Morty, and therefore I'm counting it as real fear. He can allow himself to actually show feelings because he knows Morty Prime will get mindblown by the end of the fight)

(Also, note how the laser is TOTALLY HITTING HIM??? It's not hitting the primebot, it's hitting him and apparently... not... reaching... its target... Almost like Evil Morty having turned his forcefield shield invisible (which I imagine is more energy costly otherwise he'd be doing it all the time) or maybe after so many blows his shield just reached its limit and just barely managed to stop the laser... Or maybe the laser is more powerful so a different kind of concentrated shield manifested, one which is not encasing him and is therefore not visible?)

(aaand this one? He's genuinely scared in this one. His allies are down, his enemy has regenerative abilities and about to spring right back up, and he's only going to have one shot at this)
