Today I drove through red counties and backwoods full of anti-abortion signs as I made my way to my sterilization consult. I felt like a badass.

so, a group of people who call themselves "abolishinists" came to my hometown from out of state, and showed gory pics of aborted fetuses to a bunch of children all week, and I had the opportunity to go and counter protest them. I was the first one there, but I ran into a group of Satanists from The Satanic Grotto, and became friends with them, and honestly, I had so much fun. I was finally able to do something that felt like I was helping my community in a way that made more of an impact on the people in the city than just writing to our legislation, which trust me, that's real important, like probably more so that this, but the fact that we went all day, and we picked up so many people along the way was just such a cool experience.

Found out Jasmine Sherman has ballot access in 48 states and ballot access was the only thing keeping me from loudly supporting them but lets fucking gooooooo!!!! That's enough states to stand a chance!!!
They are:
Queer
Black
Fat
Socialist
Pro Palestine, Pro-Sudan, Pro-DRC
Pro human rights
Pro-choice
Pro landback
Anti-capitalism
"you're dreaming! They won't have the Senate or Congress necessary to enact-"
Jasmine said they fully intend to use executive orders to immediately enforce age caps and term limits among other things.
In fact you can go their site and see that in most cases the policies are already written. And I don't mean a little blurb that says "I support gay people" in a section called 'lgbt' i mean they have the policies written. I mean Jasmine has already written the policy reform and posted them. You have policy questions? Read the policy.
Can't read? No problem, they also use audible for hoh users who would benefit from having the policies read aloud instead.
Also they said in a recent TikTok that with the supreme court ruling recently confirming that presidents are immune from the law as long as they're acting officially, Sherman could even utilize their new presidential power to guarantee housing and rights.
Would Kamala do that?
Sherman thinks presidents thus far have been fascists who abuse power for their own gain while under utilizing and pretending to be powerless when it doesn't suit them. They say that they fully intend to use that power to it's full capacity for the betterment of people in the US, especially now that they have the supreme court ruling to back then up. That the people have been abandoned for too long and need someone who actually wants what's materially best for them.
VOTE FOR JASMINE SHERMAN
Harris is NOT your only realistic option! Spread the word!

The question to women that’s gone viral:
Would you rather be in the woods alone w a man or a bear?
Majority of women said bear.
Why? Because even if it did maul us, the following would happen-
1. We wouldn’t be blamed for the attack
2. We would be believed
3. People would hunt down that bear without giving it a second thought

April 9, 1993: San Francisco, CA, Cow Palace (Benefit for the Tresnjevka Women's Centre in Zagreb)
Nirvana's first American show in seven months. Attended by 11,000 people. 'L7', the 'Breeders' and 'Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy' also play. $50,000 is raised. The benefit was Krist's idea: "I was really pissed off by everything I'd been reading and nobody was doing anything about it.”

📍 Today marks the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade, which struck down several Texas laws that criminalized abortion. Roe changed the abortion landscape in the U.S., though it didn’t ensure access for everyone. Roe should have been the floor, not the ceiling for abortion access. As we come up on almost two years since Roe fell, it is hard not to see the same issues resurfacing. In Texas and throughout the country, pregnant people are facing criminalization for their pregnancy choices and outcomes. The reality is the Supreme Court’s decision and the state bans that followed don’t recognize the intricacies of people’s lives and experiences. Abortion bans harm real people and their families.
✊ It’s on us to continue the fight for our rights, not only for us – but for future generations.
Image description: Digital illustration of a diverse group of eight faces. There’s text in the center that reads, ‘abortion is freedom,’ with secondary text scattered throughout the image that reads, ‘from poverty, from a future I don’t want, from a life threatening pregnancy and from the wrong partner.’

"the revolution isn't real"
There are people setting themselves on fire on major streets. These are real pictures from the DNC today (convention where Democrats officially name their presidential nominee).
This is what US democracy looks like. This is what our lesser evil is. This is what Kamala's "democratic" nomination looks like after a year of protests.
Tumblr media
"The revolution isn't happening"
It is, you just aren't participating in it.
You probably think if the revolution was Really happening, you'd be on the right side of it. So that means this can't be it, right?
Wrong.
What do you think a revolution looks like if not the people facing off with the government? Where were you when this was happening?
Tumblr media
You think being on the Right Side looks like supporting the prosecutor who's aides says things like "the presidential candidate would not support an arms embargo on Israel," while the DNC is swarmed with police, people are getting arrested for exercising their 1st amendment rights against genocide, and women are being forced into birth?
That's not even getting into the fact Harris is also Actively aiding in genocide either.
"what am I supposed to do vote trump" is such a dishonest reaction to have and it only serves to reinforce your denial so I don't wanna see it in the notes of this post. Both trump and Kamala can be awful for the planet, it doesn't need to be one or the other.
"what am I supposed to do then."
Be the revolution.
Join a protest and show up extremely prepared. They couldn't arrest everyone in a crowd of 30k people, you know?
You don't have to pick Kamala.
We don't have to do anything we don't want to if there are enough of us in one place.
We protect us
So start showing up.
Esp if you're a white ally, you should absolutely be showing up to help keep others safe and uplift their voices. There's a lot of fucking cops around, you see those pictures of the DNC? Cops don't protect us. They protect the status quo. I couldn't find a more accurate representation of that if I tried.
