"It's kind of crazy how different life is in Palestine versus here at the capital in DC. I mean we see it on our phones everyday n* are dying left and right; in Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, the Congo.
While the people of America just vibing out, looking forward to Halloween. Having a little Marine corps Marathon celebrating the imperial Stormtroopers.
For what? So the ruling class can make a couple extra bucks? So we can look at hahas on our phones all day, losing the essence of life more and more as time goes on, never once truly resisting and breaking free?
Sure we have our little protests a couple times a week, we march and scream that we'll shut it down, but ultimately, afraid to sacrifice the precious little we have left. We hold on tight to our comfort and go home for the night as the bombs continue to rain down on Gaza.
Just as the ruling class wants us to do. I mean think about it, how can we ever truly save Palestine if we can't even save ourselves? And I'm not talking just a ceasefire.
I mean true liberation; decolonization and freedom from capitalism. For all around the world, the only way is to sacrifice all we have to put everything on the line and come together, supporting one another as we fight. So we can finally create the world that we were always meant to live in.
I was losing my mind trying to push down these feelings, trying to just keep getting by; waiting for everything to change until finally I decided that I'm taking control of my life and I'll do everything I can to bring about this change even if I'm alone.
The spark has been ignited, my soul is on fire and one day soon I hope yours is, too."
Hating nazis does not mean you’re not prejudiced against Jews. Posting about how you’d love to punch a nazi is not your get-out-of-accusations-of-antisemitism free card

Sad how some ppl will say that the very idea of talking abt antitransmasculinity and transandrophobia is a "whiney white afab" thing when I was introduced to the specifics of it by black trans women, and how they sympathize with trans men because of the similarities of transmisogynoir and transandrophobia
I am in general very grateful for black trans women and femmes, the majority of the time I've only seen nuanced, well thought out takes that I don't normally see from white trans folks
If anyone wants twitter sources then lmk cuz that's where I'm talking abt, but I'm sure I can find sources on here from poc trans ppl on transandrophobia
Hello, tumblr is not traditionally the website to promote a business on, but I've been on there for a solid half of my entire life and I'm not about to stop now.
Lavender Lit was born out of my lifelong book buying habit, when I took a look at my hundreds of (mostly queer) books and realized that my dream of a queer-focused used bookstore was within my grasp.
Fast forward several years of workshopping a business plan, and here we are. Lavender Lit is opening later this month, and it's a business in two parts:
Used Bookstore! You've been to one of these before, certainly. Used books, prices written on the top right corner of the inside, the whole used bookstore deal.
Subscription Library! This is less common, but is the business model of my community-focused dreams. For $10 a month, you can borrow any book on our shelves (two at a time, in fact), return when you're done, and repeat as much as your heart desires. Y'all know, libraries. I'm a huge fans of public libraries too, of course, but I'm hoping to create a space where people can connect with each other and access a small, well curated collection of books that celebrate marginalized folks of all kinds.
If you're nearby (we'll be located in Attleboro, MA) I would love to see you in the store when we open, and if you're not, please follow us for info about how you can help (crowdfunding campaign launching soon). Thank you!
Introducing an Israeli superhero to the MCU does not mean anyone’s endorsing every action the Israeli government has taken in our world. Characters from all countries deserve to be represented, and Marvel’s Jewish representation has been severely lacking. Stan Lee was Jewish, and bringing in more Jewish characters honors his legacy. Shira Haas is a fantastic actress and I’m excited to see her shine. If you didn’t automatically associate Captain America with everything bad America has ever done when you first heard of the character, ask yourself why it’s different for an Israeli character. Part of the Marvel fandom is probably about to have a meltdown, leaving many Jewish fans uneasy and having to point out hypocrisy constantly. Please educate yourselves to not be part of the problem
