The feral square refers solely to the fact that he gets very much feral when he's passionate about something or generally *really* feeling an emotion. I think how he acts when he writes names in the death note + is noticed by Kira and during the entire yellow box scene (at least in the anime) is proof enough

I will not be explaining the Autism™ square. If you can't get it then 🤷 All you need to know is that even though it's not technically canon it means so much to me that this absolutely factors into his childhood and how things happened to him

Let's be clear, when his mind is at it's clearest, he *is* the voice of reason. And yes this cam be true despite the murder. He has a strong black and white idea of right and wrong, and if he thinks something is wrong he cannot be swayed. It's probably only around Light those reasoning skills dwindle

Technically accidental parental figure is movie canon. I may not have watched the Japanese death note live action movies yet, but by god I live for Teru Mikami adopting Hikari Yagami. Now, of course I'm disappointed from what I know about how that specific plot works and how the movies handle Mikami, but...it's better for the brain if I think about Mikami adopting Light's son and pretending the rest of the plot surrounding that doesn't exist.

By god he needs it so bad. I think most people think he just needs it because he's "insane", likely evidenced by how he acts in the yellow box scene or when writing names, but it’s so much more than "oh, he needs therapy because he's crazy". No, dudes. He's *traumatized* traumatized. I'll spare you all most of my essay for now, but if you take a look at how he narrates his own backstory, it becomes so clear just how messed up a lot of things were, and how some of his feelings on the matter arised after the fact. Teru Mikami, as a middle schooler, did not actually think his mother should die because he asked her to prioritize his own wellbeing and stand down so he wouldn't be bullied. He didn't even begin to think that she must've deserved it and that it was divine justice until she'd died and he had to cope with it. Who he is is such a mix of all the trauma he endured by the bullying and uh harrassment (an understatement), having an absent parent, definitely being neurodivergent, trying to solidify clear differences between right and wrong, being orphaned as a young boy and having to cope with his mother's death, and just...god. Like, come on. There's no way that deciding his dear mother must've deserved death and *that's* why she died along with his bullies, turning from defending the weak to taking out "the bad people", and deciding that he's god's poor meow meow and *that's* why all this is happening because he's "chosen" aren't at least partly coping mechanisms of some sort. Okay, okay. I'll spare you all the full essay

There's nothing like having identity crisis (in terms of neurodovergence) because you relate too well to a character who is absolutely not neurotypical and dealt with largely similar social problems (minus most of the harassment) to you while also being an intelligent overthinker haha

I don't 100% know why I marked this but it is not derogatory. Does he have a super tragic and traumatic backstory? Check. Is he also literally built to be god's perfect number one follower? Yes. My man looks good and neat, he washes regularly, he can cook, he started working out, he literally thinks he's god's poor meow meow, and he happens to think very very similar to Light so he does get praise. Like of course it implies he worked for most of what he had but by god man he's basically perfect? Like if I was Light I'd malewife him here and now. His life also went coincidentally so just so he *could* see himself and actually become god's poor little meow meow

I need to preface this by saying I only marked angst machine because he is a secret angst machine. Once you get more of his character it just starts leaking out until the dam bursts, man

He is like, quite literally that character who is happy go lucky and a sunshine boy and he's the protag's best friend and everything is great, right? Right??

Wrong. He struggles heavily with body image and fatphobia, his outgoing sunshine personality began as a cover so he'd be more appealing, he feels like a living lie for so many reasons (given that there's a blurred thin line between what of his personality is actually him and what's a curated mask, he pretended he wasn't who he was as a kid thinking Noctis would find him more appealing as he is now, he keeps most of his real thoughts and feelings and insecurities inside because he's afraid to burden them, he feels like an outsider in his own friend group because Noctis is the prince and Gladio and Ignis are connected to that, meanwhile he's just some commoner, and he's not only secretly *from* the empire Noctis's kingdom is at war with, but also was born to become I believe the energy source for the empire's robot soldiers (ik what they're really called don't worry about it)), and he even has an identity crisis! *slaps head of boy* You can fit so much trauma into it! Oh, and also it's implied that his adoptive parents are basically never around and that he's not sure if they care about him so

He needs therapy so bad

He also needs a kiss from his best friend as a treat. It wouldn't fix him but it sure would help

I hope what this gets across is that he's an absolute bastard who really has an abnormal threshold for "just a normal Tuesday" and an interesting set of morals. He's a feelings denier, he's absolutely traumatized by all the shit in his life (what, from everything with Zim to going through literal torture to being basically locked in an insane asylum as a child to no one, even his father, ever believing him, to just trying to please a father who's never around and never seems to actually be proud of him, to the best friends he's ever had being another kid who's also probably heavily traumatized and is basically his stalker and well Zim). Whether canon or in aged up fanon this boy is messed up and traumatized, neurodivergent, self sacrificial, easily angered, passionate, and bad at feelings.

By god so many things have happened to him. At least the rest of the org were older teens this boy was AN 8 YEAR OLD when he became a nobody. Think about that. You're an orphan kid who's practically adopted by the local king and the stern cold man of science. The former is "the fun dad", which means he uses you as an excuse to get his favorite icecream. He doesn't actually hang out with you because he wants to hang with you and doesn't seem to do most of the real parenting. The former cares about his science projects above all, and while he probably does all the parenting work he's far from warm and caring. And then all the people you live with/your older friends practically dramatically exile your technical adoptive parent and convince you that he deserved it, and then coerce you into you know literally having your heart pierced so you can divorce your heart from your body and not have to deal with pesky feelings. So he gets drawn into a literal cult at age 8. And then for the next like eleven years grows up as a nobody/without his heart while being told he's now broken without it and will never be able to truly feel emotion and care, and is also basically raised through these years by said cult made up of his friends and some sketchy people. And then of course he basically dies before coming back to life, and sure he's technically whole but he has complicated feelings about all this and of course now his technically adoptive father is back and just does not acknowledge what he put him through (Ienzo ends up being the one apologizing for everything in front of him as if he's taking the responsibility of it all above himself). I swear he's a ticking time bomb there's no way he can just stay okay with everything that happened to him.

Thoughts about Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII

Have Lightning's 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT fully MLB. Her Ex has been Purpled. She has triple real Spheres and triple perfect Artifacs.

She has her Bloom Stone. All of her Summon Boards and Character Enhancement Boards have been completed. She has her High Armor, and it's been Realized to 0/3.

But I haven't Greened her Burst yet. When it became possible to Green Lightning's BT, I opted not to due to lack of resources.

I do like Lightning though and would like to be able to use her again, so when I heard that she got her own Force weapon in the Japanese version of Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, resolved to pull for it when it showed up in the English or Global version of the game.

Can't remember the exact date now but a few months or so ago, we got this lockout event. I think it must have been one of the Dare to Defy ones. I ended up using Lightning on one of the quests in said event.

To make it easier to get through that quest, and since I was planning to pull for Lightning's FR anyway, I decided to go ahead and spend the resources to Blue her High Armor and get all of her Force Enhancements. For some reason, still couldn't bring myself to Green her Burst though.

Now Lightning's FR is finally here. Don't want to spend gems on either of the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banners though so here's to hoping that I'll be able to get Lightning's FR using tickets. If I get her FR, will definitely go ahead and fully build her and complete here now.

Thoughts about Beatrix from Final Fantasy IX

Have Beatrix's 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB. Her Ex has been Purpled. Her High Armor has been Realized to 0/3.

She has her Bloom Stone. She has triple perfect Artifacts and triple RF Spheres. All of her Summon Boards have been completed. Unlocked parts of her Character Enhancement Boards, particularly the tiles that would give me her LD extension passive and LD Call.

As aforementioned, already have a copy of Beatrix's FR but said copy hasn't been limit broken at all. This is the first appearance of her BT.

Beatrix is good, and I do like her well enough, but never got 'round to fully building her since I was saving my resources for other chars. Even in this state though, Beatrix still does pretty well.

It'd be nice to get Beatrix's BT and even more copies of her FR for limit breaking purposes, but not sure if I'll fully build her even if I get a copy of her Burst weapon. If we had more resources, then I'd gladly build all of my chars but as it is, have to be selective in who to upgrade.

As part of some campaign or other, we get a free first multi-draw on both of the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banners.

Banner 2's free pull gave me nothing more than a dupe of Prompto's 35cp. Meh.

From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills Banner 1 Free First Multi-Draw Results

The free first multi-draw on the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banner 1 gave me dupes of Eight's 15cp and 35cp and Cyan's 35cp. Also meh.

From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills Banner 1 Free Multi-Draw Tickets Results

Have 3 multi-draw tickets that can be used on either of the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banners. Decided to use all 3 of these tickets on banner 1.

To my surprise, the first ticket gave me a Force orb. Hell, yes!

Was so hyped until I remembered that there are actually 2 Force weapons featured on this banner. Now I could only hope that I was about to get Lightning's FR.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. Ended up with a dupe of Beatrix's FR. Yeah, I haven't fully limit broken my first copy yet so this dupe isn't useless but still.

Would have preferred to get my first copy of Lightning's FR instead. Besides, I do have enough High Power Stones to fully MLB Beatrix's FR if needed, so I don't really need more copies of her Force weapon.

Anyway, my second ticket gave me a gold orb. This turned into dupes of Eight's LD, Beatrix's 15cp and 35cp, and Cyan's LD.

To my complete and utter surprise, the third ticket actually gave me a Burst orb. OMFG! Also, hell yes! Super pleased to see this, especially since I had to pity the last 3 Burst weapons that I wanted to get.

To be more precise, had to pity the Burst weapons of Cor Leonis from Final Fantasy XV, Rem Tokimiya from Final Fantasy Type-0, and Iris Amicitia from Final Fantasy XV.

There's only one BT on this banner, so I already know that I'm about to get Beatrix's Burst.

Really glad that I was able to get her BT from a free draw although still not sure if I'll fully build her or not. Will need to think about this some more. At least I already have her BT in case I need it.

From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills Banner 2 Tickets Pulls Results

As aforementioned, want Lightning's FR but don’t want to spend gems on either of the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banners. And now that Beatrix's BT just showed up from a free pull, have even less reason to spend gems on these banners.

Currently have 797 tickets on hand. Here's to hoping that Lightning's FR will show up soon.

Since I already have Beatrix's BT, opted to pull on the From the End of a Long Road Intersecting Wills banner 2 for a chance to get more copies of Queen's Ex weapon.

Queen's Ex gives one of the best D Spheres in the game. This Sphere will increase the party's ATK and MAX BRV by 5% for 3 turns every time its user inflicts break or attacks an enemy afflicted with break.

Got the usual bronze and silver trash and gold dupes. Even got 10-draws that didn't have even a single gold.

Didn't take screenshots of everything since my pulls here seemed pretty bad.

Kept on getting regular blue orbs and dupes and trash.

So far, I was able to get 1 dupe of Queen's Ex.

A bit later on, a 10-draw actually gave me 5 golds. Too bad they were all dupes. Ended up with dupes of Lightning's 35cp and Ex, Prompto's 35cp and Ex, and Beatrix's FR. Ugh, really wish that Beatrix FR dupe had been Lightning's FR instead.

Also got a dupe of Prompto's Ex that I wish had been Queen's Ex instead.

After a few more 10-draws, got a Force orb. Was really hoping to get my first copy of Lightning's FR already but unfortunately, Beatrix's FR trolls me yet again. Sigh.

Aside from yet another dupe of Beatrix's FR, this pull also gave me dupes of Queen's Ex and Lightning's LD.

Then another 10-draw gave me dupes of Prompto's 35cp and Beatrix's FR. Argh! It's so frustrating to see the animation for the appearance of a Force weapon only for it to turn out to be a dupe. Lightning FR, doko da?

A bit later on, got yet another Force orb. Was already dreading having to see yet another dupe of Beatrix's FR, but thankfully, that wasn't the case this time.

Yup, that's right, this time, this Force orb turned into my very first copy of Lightning's FR. Hell, yes! Really super pleased to see this.

Now I can finally be done with this banner. Was down to 627 tickets when Lightning's FR came home.

Glad I didn't have to spend so much just to get Lightning's FR. Guess the results of my pulls here weren't so bad after all. Maybe it just seemed that way since I kept getting regular blue orbs and lots of useless dupes and bronze and silver trash.

Beatrix from Final Fantasy IX

Ended up with 4 dupes of Beatrix's FR. Only needed 3 more to be able to fully MLB said weapon without having to use High Power Stones.

So I fused 3 of the Beatrix FR dupes to my first copy to fully MLB it.

Also leveled up Beatrix's BT then equipped her with it. And that's all I've done so far. Still not sure if I'll fully max her out or not.

Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII

Spent the High Power Stones needed to fully MLB Lightning's Force weapon.

Then I spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to Green her Burst weapon or get it to BT+ 3/3.

Also completed the entirety of her Force Board, including unlocking access to her Force Echoes. Now my Lightning is fully built and complete. Can't wait to try her out in a Shinryu (level 300) quest.

Ravus + Lunafreya = “Why are you bleeding?”

Word count: 648

She was only twelve the first time she had seen Ravus bleed.

Lunafreya had seen it before, of course. Scrapes andaccidents happened often enough that she was bound to have seen it at leastonce, but that had been different. That had been too much blood, and it hadbeen in that moment that she learned just how much blood coursed through theveins of humans.

The Empire had come and gone, as had King Regis of Lucis andhis son. Tenebrae fell, as did their mother, the oracle, and Ravus would blamehimself for both until his own dying breath, but she wouldn’t learn that untilmuch later.

Ravus shooed her away then, refused to let her tend to him.He called it a scratch, but Lunafreya was no fool, and Ravus was daft if he hadtaken her for one. With shaky, clammy hands, he took hers, and tried to keepher away as he gasped through grit teeth. Back then, she had listened, and sheleft him to fetch proper care by the hands of those who were more experiencedin the ways of mending stab wounds in the stomach.

She was only seventeen when she walked into the parlor andfound him doubled over, clutching his chest. He had donned the Tenebraen creston his coat, but there were burns that exposed large patches of charred flesh.The coat was supposed to be a stark white with black accents, simple in design.

It was red, nearly crimson, and it was dripping from histailcoat.

Blood.

Her voice caught in her throat and her eyes went wide withfear. She didn’t like blood.

“Why are you bleeding?” Lunafreya’s voice was barely awhisper, but it was enough for Ravus’s shoulders to stiffen. “Ravus?!” Herheels clicked on the marble floor, and echoed off the walls. Each footfallssounded like the ticking of a clock, counting down to Ravus’s untimely end.

Dusk fell on the manner, and as Lunafreya kneeled before himand took his cheeks in his hands, she bit her lip. It didn’t stop it fromtrembling, though, as she whispered.

“Blessed stars of life and light…”

“Luna,” Ravus rasped, and Lunafreya ignored him. She pressedher forehead to his, and she held him tighter when he reached for her hands topush her away, as he had before when they were younger.

“Deliver us from darkness blight.” She repeated the phraseover and over again, until she couldn’t form coherent words over the tremor inher voice. Her hands, she noted, her covered in his blood, now, but he wasstill conscious, still with her, and he was calm. At least one of them was.

“Thank you,” he uttered quietly. Lunafreya nodded, but onlyin slight, Shock and fear still hummed in her veins, and adrenaline poundedinside her chest.

“Don’t you ever come back here looking like that,” shewarned. Her tone was shrill, hysterical, and if Ravus wasn’t already pale, hewould be, now. Gingerly, he took her hands in his, and they shook as he kissedher palm. What if he never came back? What if he loses too much blood and doesn’tcome back? No, she couldn’t stand it, wouldn’t have it. He was all she had left.

“I promise, Lunafreya,” Ravus swore as he evened out hisvoice.

They stayed like that, tears running down her cheeks, even asthe handmaids rushed around the corner with clerics. It wasn’t until theyneeded to tend to Ravus that Lunafreya moved, and was ushered aside.

“My lady,” Maria worried and touched her cheeks, wiping hertears, “are you hurt?”

“No,” the princess replied swiftly, “I’m not.” She peeredover Maria’s shoulder just as Ravus looked up at her. They said nothing, butshe didn’t think there was anything more than needed to be verbalized.

Okaaaaay, so @prompto-cam and I were talking about it and long story short,

Here are some Headcanons for that Centaur!Gladio and Cervitaurs!Ignis AU from this pretty art! C:

 Ignis actually wasn’t scared when Gladio helped him when he found the cervitaur caught in that trap.

He was scared when he first heard Gladio approach, though.

Ignis is blind, but he’s pretty good with his ear. However, after a while with his leg trapped and due to the injury, he’s panicking a bit and fears a human may find him if he finds no answer soon.

That’s when he heard Gladio approach, but all that he hears is horse steps.

The first thing in Ignis’ head is that this is a human-domestic horse carrying its owner, but he’s also aware that pulling from his leg will only injure it more.

His reaction is to stay still, lower the head a bit, and cover his nude human torso with the arms, more in a subconscious reaction of feeling exposed rather than modesty.

Gladio hasn’t realized that the cervitaur is blind, so it doesn’t cross his head to explain he’s a centaur (‘cause it’s obvious…to creatures who can see).

Not knowing Iggy can’t see him, Gladio sees in him a scared and vulnerable young cervitaur.

Really the only thing that’s wrong is that Ignis thinks this may be a human.

“Hey. See you got caught. Thank the gods I found you before any human.”

That’s when Ignis relaxes.

“I’m going to free you, alright? Don’t be scared.”

“I’m not. I was at first because I wasn’t sure what you were. But judging as you’re not a person, and the horse steps, I will assume you’re a centaur. Am I correct?”

Gladio’s a bit startled at first. Ignis’ eyes do look strange, but he looks around and behaves as if though he could see (too confident), so the centaur is only now catching that this cervitaur is blind.

“Yeah. Sorry to startle you.”

“That’s alright. If you’re a centaur, then I should be the opposite of scared. I would really use some help here…”

As mentioned in original artist’s canon of this AU, Gladio frees him and takes him to the spot nearby a lake that he inhabits with Noct and Prom, a werecat and an elf, respectively.

Iggy quickly befriends these two because he starts spending most his days with them.

None has another place to go, so this is where they stay; Gladio, however, as a centaur and guardian of the forest, goes out most of the day for patrolling. Noctis and Prom decided to stay at their spot to look after the injured cervitaur and see after his injury.

Prom has a slightly dumb hand for this, but he’s constantly making sure that Ignis is comfortable and always asks him how he’s doing and if he needs anything, which makes Iggy grow fond of him very quickly.

Noct can behave a bit rude or asocial sometimes, but Iggy learns to read through him and see the little hints that show that he cares; he’s got a better hand for injuries, so he’s checking up on it better (but not more) than Prom.

However, the four get to hang together and that’s how the gang is united and pls let them be happeh forever

You know this psychological thing that I can’t name that says that the more that you see yourself in another person (not only visually), the easier/quicker/more you grow fond of them?

This equation has it simple for the boys: Prom and Noct, as the most humanized of creatures, share a stronger bond than Noct and Gladio or Igs or Prom and Gladio or Igs.

Hence, as centaur and cervitaur, two creatures very alike, Igs and Gladio have it super easy to grow very comfortable with each other, more/different than with the other two.

Noctis likes to sleep in his panther form and curl against Ignis.

“He’s warm.”

Prompto feels betrayed.

(don’t worry, it’s all playful)

Ignis likes to pet Noct and Prom; he can’t see, so he likes to feel their skin or hair.

The guys are suckers for it.

Noctis, mostly.

He’ll go to Ignis and just sit at his side or rub against his legs or human torso until the cervitaurs pets him.

Ignis thought this was a panther, not a kitten.

“Cats will always be cats, I guess.”

Ignis really likes toying with both Noct’s and Prom’s ears.

“Pointy. :).”

In exchange, the guys like to touch his antlers.

Ignis doesn’t like that at first.

The guys are children-level of insistent so Ignis just gets used to it and lets them.

When Ignis’ leg recovers from the injury, Gladio suggests he starts taking small walks to stretch the legs and make sure he stays healthy and etcetera.

Gladio’s worried something may happen to the blind cervitaur, because his leg is healed from the injury but not fully.

That’s how the centaur starts going with the cervitaur for walks in the forest.

It’s small walks at first, and Gladio makes sure to return Ignis to their safe spot before leaving again for his patrolling.

Each day, the walks become a little longer, little by little, until Ignis fully heals.

Even then, when he’s fully recovered, he asks Gladiolus to accompany him in his patrolling.

Gladio’s not too confident about it at first, but agrees.

He really likes the cervitaur’s company.

Gladio had guessed that this blind cervitaur could be a bit of a fragile and scaredy guy; first impressions left their impact, and a blind creature tends to not be confident.

However, it’s during their walks together that Gladio learns Ignis is the opposite to all that.

The cervitaur moves as if though he can see with no troubles.

Gladio learns that all his “there’s a stump in the way” and “be careful, there’s a rock in there” have all been useless; Ignis sees the road without needing to see it.

“Why didn’t you tell me you could walk around without help?”

“Your help was a very kind gesture, and I didn’t want to be rude.”

Ignis, you beautiful thing.

Ignis even knows some ways through the forest that Gladio himself, a centaur, a centaur that goes on constant patrolling, didn’t know.

Ignis starts showing him ‘shortcuts’, better ways to take to some place, another route to somewhere else, or just a very nice place.

This is how the two start bonding together besides living together and their conversations of four; with walks through the forest, that started to heal Iggy’s leg, and transformed into mere enjoyment <3

When Ignis is fully recovered, he likes to run with Gladio.

They’re both starting to grow sort of friendly competitive against each other, and running was the first (and most common) competence they have.

Gladio had assured him that he’s a very strong centaur with long and strong legs. Ignis said he’s himself.

Ignis won.

The little bastard.

Gladio’s body is very strong and the strength gives him some speed, sure.

But Ignis’ body is slender and gracile. He’s more speed than strength.

He’s lighter, so he’s like a bolt.

Have you seen a damn deer run?

There goes the cervitaur, like an arrow in the air, and Gladio trying to catch up.

Long story short, these two like to either walk through the forest, or run together. :3

Hey, look, we’re back at their spot by the lake with Nyactis and Orlando Bloom but better Prompto.

Prompto usually takes patrols as well, but he’s mostly in the surroundings of their spot; he’s the guardian of it, making sure no humans or any sort of bad guy tries to take it from them.

Noctis is a lazy bastard.

But he knows how to fight, don’t worry.

Noctis behaves much like a feline whether he’s in his human or panther form.

And I mean that includes the smart gaze looking at everything, the grace of jumps and landing, the fierce look in the eyes…

…and also the purring and playfulness.

Noctis likes to lie on the ground and play with Gladio’s tail.

It swings.

Prompto likes to shoot some arrows (he’s an archer <3) and Noctis has to go catch it.

Noctis is trying to play with Iggy’s tail, but he always changes it for Gladio’s.

It’s longer. Funnier to play with.

Speaking of Iggy’s tail,

When Ignis starts growing feelings for Gladio, as in having a crush, he’ll get very happy when Gladio compliments him or smiles at him or something nice and innocent.

And his little tail starts going WRIGGLE WRIGGLE WRIGGLE WRIGGLE WRIGGLE WRIGGLE

Look at that tail, it’s so tiny and ridiculous hisdonfjsdfd it’s adorable

It moves so fast in such little movements, the tiny thing ahahaha

Ignis usually fights with all his might so that his tail stops moving before Gladio notices

Gladio sometimes notices anyway

Gladio will grin and tease him about it

Gladio will say it’s cute and that he’s happy Iggy is happy

And he’ll proceed to pet (or try to pet) Ignis on the head.

Ignis usually backs away and tries to smack his hand away.

“Oi! Gladiolus! Stop that, I’m not a puppy you can pet! >:(”

Gladio will pet him anyway

(Psst. Ignis likes it)

Gladio started that as a way to annoy him, but he starts to really enjoy it.

Mostly Ignis’ deer spine.

It took a while for Ignis to stop freaking out and complaining.

He used to complain at first because he feels like a puppy or a child and who do you think I am and how dare you treat me like this, you’re- oh gods, it actually feels so nice, hndnnnfg.

Iggy now tends to fall asleep very easily when Gladio’s petting his animal back.

Noctis sometimes lets his feline side take over and will interrupt by sneaking in between Gladio’s hand and Iggy’s body.

This guy wants to be pet too :’(

When the guys realize that Gladio & Iggy are slowly but surely becoming a couple, Noctis will reach for Prompto and cling to him.

“Yeah, well, then I choose this one. He won’t betray me like you two. You’ll scratch me, right, Prompto?”

“I guess (・・ ) ?”

Gladio likes to have Iggy rub his antlers against him to scratch him where he can’t reach

Iggy started that by accident

He was trying to poke Gladiolus as a friendly gesture.

Gladio ended up saying “Oh gods, that was nice, can you do it again? And now move? And…yes…oh yes…right there…a little to the right- oh yes…”

Ignis tends to get neckache so often because of how long he spends scratching Gladiolus and his horse body.

Nyactis in the distance like >:(

Iggy’s antler are still not on their full size (though really they only need a few inches more), so sometimes they itch.

Gladio thinks that the most adorable thing to ever see in the universe is Ignis scratching his antlers against a tree.

It’s so dumb and adorable

Prompto likes shiny things and making simple elf-like jewelry, and his favorite model is Ignis’ antlers.

He likes to make “antlerlaces”, strings with little shiny pebbles that come and go all over Iggy’s antlers.

Gladio has a lot of troubles to stare, because he wants to stare /all day/ when Iggy has some of that “antlerlaces” but he doesn’t want the cervitaur to be uncomfortable

Ignis actually likes that Gladio stares.

Gladio already considered Iggy to be absolutely gorgeous; the little elf jewelry gives him some sort of divine look that makes the centaur re-realize how pretty Ignis is.

Prom secretly put some of his best “antlerlace” jewelry on Iggy the first time the cervitaur and the centaur were going to go out for a walk as in “a date”, officially now.

Iggy let him.

You should have seen Gladio, he wasn’t expecting that.

He forgot how to speak and tried for so long.

Ignis is so happy, he feels so good bc Gladio looks at him like the cervitaur is some deity and it makes him feel so hsdngjdfngfdo

They spent that night at another lake, just the two of them, looking at the stars or at each other.

Not like there’s much difference for them between the stars and each other’s eyes.

 I don’t really know what else to say or how I can finish this, so Imma stop here. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Normal for the Spider|Chaos for the fly

So I saw a cute AU by @prompto-cam and it inspired me to sit down and write something after so long. It’s probably a little deviant from their idea, but I tried my best. I just really thought this following scene was too irresistible not to write out, and honestly, I have a HUGE soft spot for Aranea. 

It wasn’t unusual for creatures to come to her in desperation. Here in the darkness of her caverns, spiders had brought her knowledge for as long as she could remember. Whispered to her in words only she, an arachne, could understand. The spiders had taken care of her in this way, telling her what she could do with the information. They’d taught her that knowledge could be used. Selling it, trading it, giving it, all of that had originally served to protect her from harm when she was younger.

But now she was old enough not to need that protection. No. Instead she’d turned it into a weapon, a device for her to leverage what she needed from those who dared come to her. The knowledge was enough of a siren’s call that she never wanted for much, even with her reputation for ending those who dared disrespect her in her own home. 

It became monotonous. They’d come, they’d ask, they’d die or leave.

So the day a centaur came into her cavern, she was braced for the same song and dance. However, there was something in his eye that caused her pause. She’d usually set the person requesting knowledge on a dangerous path, requesting things that she wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. The horn of one of Leviathan’s narwhals, good for protection for the horn never dulls. Things of that caliber.

But him? She liked him. He stood tall and did not cower. His eyes burned for the knowledge, and it was plain for all to see just how much he was willing to pay for what he asked of her. If she didn’t have a reputation to upkeep, she’d have simply given him when he’d wanted, Paid for by the passion in his heart. However, she couldn’t do that. So she requested something easy. Simple. 

“Cakes.”

“Cakes?” 

He’d questioned her price, and she promptly gave a stinging reminder that she could just was easily asked for something like werewolf blood, or pixie wings, or even a vampire’s fang. He let it go after that, which was good. She’d have hated to up the price on him.

It was only half a day later that there was another coming into her cave. She sighed and rolled her neck. She crawled silently along the cavern’s ceiling, watching and observing the small being that was carefully making his way into her home with six boxes in his arms. 

Oh this would be fun.

She dropped down, landing with a soft thump, and said, “And just what are you doing here, Shortcake?” 

“CAKES!” He shouted, panic laced in his voice as he held them out to her. “Gladio said you like cakes and I got you cakes because we need help and cakes are good so if you could eat these cakes and not me and maybe just tell me where we find this magical thing and I can be on my merry way and not die please oh god don’t eat me!”

If she’d know what he was carrying, she would have called him a different name. The panic on his face was clear, but still she could see the resolve in his eyes to help his friends. Even through his fear. Oh, what a gift the day was, meeting two people that she rather liked.

“Hmm...maybe I should add you to the price for what the centaur asked.” She teased. She’d never keep a live creature. She preferred her solitude, but he didn’t know that. 

He was shaking like a leaf in the wind as she brushed by him, purposely trailing one of her legs across his back. She put the cakes off to the side and then went back to him. She sat on the floor, and ran her hands through his hair as she spoke. She told him where they could find someone to heal their friends, the paths to take, and the distance to go. And as she spoke she laced spiders webs through the strands. 

It was late in the day and she’d assumed that as soon as she told him what he wanted to know that he’d run off. The webs would mark him as under her protection, at least until he reached the centaur. No creature of the night would dare touch him.

And as she’d guessed, as soon as she finished speaking, he thanked her and charged off. A laugh left her, and she found herself hoping that maybe they’d returned with another request.

Summary:

When the Royal Vessel's engine stops working on the way to Altissia, Noctis, Ignis and Gladio find themselves beaching on a small, isolated island. But they are not alone here, and the blonde-haired man here has a deep, worrying secret.
