i think i have finally created what i think is a decent system for knapping. right clicking with a new item called a leg guard in hand will open up an interface where the knapping process can begin, which can be used repeatedly to shape pieces of (currently) flint and obsidian into tools. flint is the easiest and most widely available material here so i am thinking about adding some other stones or the ability to hit peices of certain stone off of blocks and use those in knapping. a sort of progression to work up towards stronger materials as you find deposits of different stone. the GUI is done though i need to add flare .... working on flint tools now that the system is working and bug-free. ive kind of started shifting my focus away from ecology and focusing more on technology again. i want to get a few more interesting systems out before i release 1.0.0. however most animals are done and fully animated and their taming mechanics are mostly bug-free

I just finished The Quarry and the only thing I can think about is WHY WOULD THE HACKETTS ONLY HUNT SILAS ON FULL MOON???!!! I get that they need to kill him on full moon, but they could just… find him, lock him up, wait for full moon and shoot him, no? Why fight him as a werewolf when you could just ambush him when he‘s just a dude?

(On that note, they also could have let the camp run with like… a DAY OR TWO OF BUFFER BETWEEN KIDS AND FULL MOON)

Hi I wrote a thing w/ X-535 Bella bc she rotates in my brain occasionally.

Realistically, Bella would see Rein around the Safety Department (Ryn and Rein bein buddies and all) but maybe not a proper meeting.

Since OG Rein remain rather menacing/not as outwardly kind, it'd maybe be harder for them to be friends, but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

secondly, this is pretty accurate imo. t589, being a branch facility, relied on their captains (alongside vice captains) to be the head of things, but bella was told that the next facility she goes to likely would have sephirah to report to - and when a sephirah gives her something... it should go straight to another sephirah, right? (unless ordered otherwise ofc lol)

reinhardts. somewhat menacing nature could make it a bit harder for them to be friends... at first she wouldnt bring it up/think much of it, since hes her superior and all. but once they start to get a casual friendship, she'd probably offhandedly mention it. overall, with reinhardt being outwardly willing to help, shed be more likely to go back to him for assistance (i feel like, at least at first, shed also do this general; she wouldnt wanna bother the ones who dont seem as willing).

This? I'm playing Heavy Rain rn (made by Quantic Dream), and I played their first game, Omikron: The Nomad Soul many many many years ago on my PC that ran Windows ME I think (may have even been Windows 95, idr).

Like, the studio has some really cool ideas as far as graphics and game play, and I don't hate the games enough to not play them. But even as a teenager, I recognized that Omikron kind of only had two types of women--whores or damsels, or some sort of overlap of those two archetypes, and Heavy Rain very much feels the same. Male characters seem to have a lot of interiority and complexity, whereas female characters kind of don't feel like they're afforded the same.

I think I had slightly higher hopes since this studio also made Detroit: Become Human, which I remember people having favorable opinions of at the time, and I thought maybe the'd grown past their characterization of women as like, useless lol. But when I was yapping about this to my partner yesterday, who played tf out of D:BH at the time, even he's like "Oh yeah no, women in that game are largely either portrayed as vessels or bitches." So. Yeah.
