I wanted to do something for mermay, so here are my designs for some merturtles!

Leo is a Leafy seadragon,

Donnie is a Vampire squid

Mikey is a Epaulette shark

And Raph is a Scorpionfish!

Well, technically tomorrow 2 June, but I somehow finished this today.

I thought I'd have finished the Krang infection comic by now so I could have a happy birthday ending, but we're not there yet.

I uh never draw backgrounds or like to colour, but I love fully coloured pieces and well here we are. Trying my best to create something out of my comfort zone.

As a bday gift to myself I'm going to watch the new spiderverse tomorrow evening!

Rise!Dee looked at the flower with surprise.

"For us? And you picked a nice one too! " He grinned and immediately grabbed it. "A Devil's Trumpet! I'll ask Mikey to put it in a vase, we don't want him accidentally using it for a new recipe, but the kitchen counter could certainly use some purple-"

"Actually, I think that's for us," 12!Donnie snatched the flower with a pointed look. "Since the story is still currently on our side of the multiverse, this offer is obviously meant for-"

"You wish this flower would be intended to your obviously inferior world-"

"It's got nothing to do with that! It's just logical."

"Don't even try to bullshit and claim it's logic, that's MY thing-"

"ARE YOU TWO GETTING ALONG OVER THERE!"

"YES!" they both answered in unison, grinning and linking arms like the best buddies on Earth, as they both grabbed onto the stem of the flower.

Rad squinted suspiciously. "Uh-huh, I have an eye on you guys- oh, what a pretty flower! Is that for us?"

EF!Raph, who had watched the exchange while slowly stepping back simply nodded.

"Hey, thank you! It's so cute, I wonder what kind of flower is-"

"Devil's Trumpet." Both Donnie's answered in unison before exchanging sideway glares.

Rad hummed and took the flower from them-

And ate it.

"Thanks for the snack, other Raph!" Rad muttered obliviously while both Donnie's stared with growing horror. "And sorry about them, please ignore these bozos-"

"Raph that was poisonous."

"They mean no harm- what."

"Why would you eat it, oohhh why, oh no."

"Ok, so there's a 60-40 chance Draxum accounted for that scenario-"

"No wait, why would a flower be poisonous!?" Rad huffed. "They're so pretty!"

"The real question here is why would you eat it-?"

EF!Raph slowly escaped from the accidental soon-to-be-crime scene, because even if Rad resulted to be inmune, it was obvious the two purple turtles would end up fighting each other.

to be fair- Leo also goes through some second hand suffering. i dont think that gets brought up enough.

fans trying to say people are mad about CNC are reaching so hard. CNC implies there’s consent you can still say “no” and you’re in a safe controlled environment with someone you trust. Are they trying to say that poison scene was just CNC? Just admit you have fetishes and kinks and put them in your show and apologize if it upset and harmed SA survivors instead of arguing with SA survivors. I’m 100% positive the only reason she defending Ralph is because he lets viv to steal his ideas without crediting him, beside Ralph has no self and just adopted a shitty Angel dust persona and it backfired on him heavily because he sexually harassed a minor and doesn’t want to face repercussions

that's all correct about CNC for sure. and it does come off like people are mis-judging the situation at hand. and--tbf--people misjudging and misunderstanding the nuances of sexual scenarios and sexualities and trauma etc. is very common. but i am also concerned it's partially to do with the execution of poison and angel dust.

sex sells but it's kind of counter-productive to use sex appeal while trying to show a character is traumatized or to make a bold statement about abuse or hypersexuality or trauma or what have you. it's kind of like that saying about satire, that it...

"requires a clarity of purpose and target lest it be mistaken for and contribute to that which it intends to criticize."

that's how i feel about poison/viv's general approach to sex & abuse. but, at the same time, i feel like it's really unclear *what* she's trying to make a statement about *exactly*. and i don't know if i've seen a clear answer from her on that (if anyone has feel free to toss it in my ask box) she seems to flip-flop between her defenses and i have no idea what her goal is. sometimes it's about trauma sometimes it's about empowerment sometimes it's just the haters hating, & so on.

idk about all that you said about raph having no self and adopting angel as his persona--but i've seen the same sentiment about viv using raph (and the trauma she claims he has but he's publicly stated he doesn't in the past) to defend/justify her fixation on mlm abuse. and raph's comment towards that minor was heinous, even if the age wasn't initially in the minor's bio it's still an awful mindset to have that you can say shit like that to anyone, and would still be sexual harassment were they an adult.

If the boys all used their ninpo simultaneously (after training it a LOT mainly on Mikey’s end) they could, conceivably, create a pretty kickass dimension hopping ship.

Think about it: you got Mikey’s portals for said dimension hopping, Leo’s portals to actually travel distance in world, Donnie’s mystic tech to create the base of the ship and hopefully have a way to convert Mikey’s mystic into something more manageable and less lethal, and Raph’s ninpo to protect the ship (and therefore them) from impact and obstacles.

It’s a far reach of an idea but!! Could potentially work with enough plot strings pulled!
