Sam n Crewel mention you're getting them first (the others later because my hand started to cramp after I drew these two) Crewel is a kitsune, honestly it's because I noticed Crewel has 3 tails attached to his coat and it instantly reminded me of a kitsune, that just tickled my brain nicely I couldn't NOT make him one after that connection (also gives me the excuse to draw him even more pretty harahrhar)

Sam is a grim reaper, and just like Skully they're based on my vers of grim reapers (which in reality it's just my heavily headcanoned depictions of Black Butler reapers, hence why there are green eyes in Sam's "shadow". So yeah they're basically Kuro Reapers in TWST)

Now mini lore ramble for Sam, only the NRC staff are aware Sam is a Grim Reaper and not a human, the students do not know and fully believe Sam is a human just like Silver. The reason for that is in this day and age it is deemed very unlucky if you were to spot a grim reaper in the wild while they're not in disguise, like to the point where people believe if you saw one, you will be hunted down by the reaper because you're not supposed to know they're there. Though that's mostly what the living believe. But for reapers, they disguise themselves to avoid causing a panic, their whole job and what they're known for is they collect souls from the recently deceased. Meaning if some random guy saw a reaper casually walking down the street, they'll immediately assume someone has died and people have yet to figure out who and where. It just causes a whole panic mess to happen because now everyone is just expecting to find a dead guy somewhere while in reality the reaper was just going out shopping. Now you could imagine what nightmare that would cause if a NRC student saw Sam walking around out of disguise. There would constant rumours about there possibly being a dead student/professor somewhere on campus and that would both be tiring but also bad the for the schools rep, it's just easier for everyone and Sam himself if he's just pretending to be a human.

ONE LAST NOTE THOUGH: Despite being perfectly disguised, people who went through a near-death experience are able to see through a reaper's disguise and can only see them as their true form while everyone else still sees a human. People who have gotten so close to death and having their soul reaped but were able to get out of it by a thread, have not only gotten a second chance in life but as well are now able to see the ones who were going to take their soul if luck didn't decide to be on their side that time (this also includes overblotters).

Don't worry, these people won't "get hunted down" for being able to see them. The whole "reapers will hunt you down if you saw them" thing is just a myth the living made up, reapers only disguise themselves to avoid causing a panic from making people believe someone died when no one did. They don't care if you can see their true forms, they just tell you to keep it down so people don't freak out about them just existing in the same room as them.

I will ask about the reaper picture! It seems to me that perhaps Reaper is trying to pull Nightmare into "hell" or something akin to suffering like karma for the suffering he's caused but Dream through sheer force of will is letting his brother be "happy" and comforted hence the water while keeping Reaper at bay.

It's interesting because now Dreamis the both guardian of emotions and his brother.

Ah I also assume this is after Nightmare turns into a tree.

Context

Think of it this way, reaper isn’t on any particular side, he’s here to do his job and leave, not even Nightmare, the guardian of negativity, is exempt from having his soul reaped

Reaper personally slightly dislikes Nightmare, but he doesn’t let his personal feelings interfere with his job, he’s not taking Nightmare away specifically to make him suffer, but he sure as hell wishes he’d suffer

Reaper’s job takes a toll on him, he doesn’t like to take souls away, especially when they’re obviously people who had their whole lives ahead of them, but in Nightmare’s case, he feels nothing for him, no pity, no mercy, this is the man who made him go through so many souls to reap, and it was only a matter of time before his was reaped too, reaper heared Nightmare’s life clock ticking down for so long, he knew how Nightmare would end, he just never had the heart to tell Dream about it, nor was it his job to, he preferred to keep away from the twins’ business

Reaper is very much neutral

At the same time, despite his slight dislike to Nightmare, he wouldn’t exactly do everything in his power to make Nightmare suffer in his last moments, but he definitely didn’t provide any comfort either, hence “you deserve no song”, that might seem like a metaphorical statement, but it’s very much literal

Reaper always sings to the souls he’s about to reap, to provide them comfort in their last moments, to lessen their distress and fear, to make them not feel any pain or discomfort, but he doesn’t sing to Nightmare, he doesn’t do anything to make Nightmare’s fear and distress any worse, but he doesn’t do anything to make it any better either

Dream is the one that provides that comfort hence “yet your sibling sings for you”, this statement is also quite literal, Dream sings to Nightmare their favorite lullaby as children in his last moments, to provide his sibling comfort, Nightmare sang it with him before his body completely crumbled, Dream still continued to sing it alone after

Dream knows reaper will come for his brother, but he simply won’t let it happen, he definitely fights Reaper off by keeping him away and shielding his soul, Dream’s shield can never be broken into by force, the only way someone could break it, is if negativity was used against it, which isn’t really in the realm of possibility at this point

Reaper understands Dream’s stance, he’d do the same for his brother too, he could never imagine how painful it is for Dream to have to hold onto his sibling’s soul, to have to be the reason that soul is in his hand in the first place, Reaper admires Dream’s emotional strength, despite all the misery, pain, and suffering he goes through, he never let it break him, it might have clouded his mind, but it never broke him down

Dream knows Reaper is just doing his job, he knows Reaper wouldn’t make his twin suffer, but he simply can’t let it happen, and he uses the fact that negativity could cease to exist if Nightmare’s soul fully perished in his attempt to save his brother’s soul from being reaped, Dream’s first instinct isn’t even the balance anymore, it’s not even in his thoughts, the only thought in his mind at that point is to protect Nightmare, protect your helpless twin, make it up for him for never protecting him before

Of course, Dream’s thoughts are a bit ridiculous, Dream himself needed protection as a child, but Dream still blames himself for the Apple incident, so he thinks that he needed to protect Nightmare back then, and now he won’t let anyone hurt his twin anymore, he couldn’t protect him back then, but he’ll be dead before he lets him get hurt again right now

Dream will fight literal and figurative Death before he lets anyone hurt his twin anymore

Gabriel is the stern figurehead who keeps everyone in line, and is probably tied with Moira in last place in terms to warming up to the whole sharing idea. He's easily swayed once you settle in though, because you're good at your job and help keep whatever stress he has mounting at bay. (Shoulder massages and plentiful glasses of bourbon whiskey goes a long way.) He often has to step in when the boys are being a tad too rough with you, reminding Genji & Cassidy that bench pressing you as a test of strength in whatever dick measuring contest they have going on won't mean anything when he's around because he's your favourite anyway.

Behind closed doors is a little different. Gabriel allows you an insight to his tender side, not only his stress but his wants and desires. Many a night have you been spread over thick thighs, quivering legs braced either side of him as he works, a smug smile spread over his lips as you twitch around him and beg for any semblance of relief as he steadies you with a large hand on your hip. He won't relent until you're blubbering and flexing your cute little nails into his skin, barely able to make a dent in him as his fat cock nudges against the deepest parts of you. And I'm afraid to say it, but he's an absolute horndog who can't get enough of the attention you give him. Even just curling your fingers under his hairy chin to pull him in for a cheeky kiss has Cassidy harder than stone, the hot mass prodding into your thigh persistently until you do something about it. And if he's not humping into your pretty pussy at the speed of light or eating you out with utmost enjoyment, then he's plopping his hat onto your head while you ride him within an inch of his life. Genji was almost elusive when first meeting you, but his hesitation's quickly sobered when you didn't treat him like a monster because of his synthetic appearance. He's a little old fashioned in his approach, too, leaving behind meaningful gifts at your desk to show that he listens and cares. And whilst he's outwardly the sweetest, you know the mischief that lies behind Genji's cool exterior.

(You take him up on his offer to train you, just a few basic moves so that you can defend yourself. And as good as you get, he'll always be better, putting your ass on the mat for the millionth time and making you pout playfully when he chalks it up to his ninja skills, a humble offering to soothe your bruised ego.)

And he definitely puts his ninja skills to good use by sneaking up on you, making you jump as he surrounds you from behind, your soft body settling perfectly against his own. He takes advantage of the positioning to part your soft thighs from behind, the skin so plush and unmarred unlike his own, Genji can't help but want to bury himself within it. It's often how you end up being fingered until you can barely speak, or being eaten out from under your desk while you try not to break your cool. You talk about any and all things to her and most times her response is something so decadently intelligent that it flusters you to no end, and she's all too pleased to indulge in whatever information about yourself that you share to her.

She also enjoys using her knowledge to her advantage, helping you discover new things about your body that you may not have even known yourself, pushing you to absolute limits with experiments purely for her own enjoyment. Experiments such as the amount of times you can cum in one session with her, good thing she knows the exact right spot to reach with her fingers, hm?
