Honey, never stop being you. Valentine's Day has passed, but that's okay! I just wanted to take a moment to remind you how much I treasure the beautiful art you created for my fan fiction.
Your talent and creativity are truly inspiring, and I’m so grateful for everything you bring to our shared passions. Let’s continue to discover and cultivate those together—I can’t wait to see where it leads us!
Thank you for being my friend
Best regards, Spring...

AAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! CARRIER, MC AND NEBULA ARE SO CUTE! Keep on theorizing, Honey! Do what you do best! Your theories are the best, and I can't help but reread them every time...!
It's honestly scary how accurate you are... ( ° - ° |||)
Sad that someone is missing... And I don't mean Sire....
Happy (quite abit late) Valentines Day post

Ok I know that I'm abit late since valentines day but I just wanted to draw MC, Nebula and Glowburst hugging each other ok? Like come on I could see MC wanting to give her carrier and sister a valentine this could fit. Honestly this is a scene I just thought of that maybe would happen next chapter or later on where carrier tells MC and Nebula about sire and then also reveals that she knows Nebula was here the whole time, I seriously can't wait for the next chapter the mystery is killing me!!! And also I actually at first wanted to draw sire as a ghost like thing but we don't even know what he looks like and there's no description of him so I scraped that idea and I wasn't sure if the box MC found is actually sire in the box so I just made carrier holding a rememberence flower and let's just imagine that that flower has sire's soul ok? Also at first i wanted to color them but i just decided to do monochromatic instead since i couldn’t figure out just yet how to make their colors just yet if not in digital and i gotta say i love how much i’ve inproved on doing the contrasts since my inktober one, tho at the same time i can’t believe it took me this long to figure out that i can use my colored pens and pencils in the same artwork, like WOW what a revelutionary move i did with using those two at the same time. . . . .(~ ̄³ ̄)~
Oh
And also I'm gonna keep my promise when I said this in the comments so-
BEHOLD!!!
THE MYSTERY OF THE PAST BOX THAT MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAINS OUR SIRE'S SPARK IF NOT MAYBE A PANDORA'S BOX I DON'T KNOW!!!

(I don't know why but I'm so proud of myself with making these ᕦʕ •ᴥ•ʔᕤ)
I literally search up every word meaning for how the box is described but also I wasn't sure which shape or design that I wanted so I just figured well I'm the one drawing it so why not give myself many options to choose from? Tho i have to admit i’m not sure the feather designs i did in these are obvious enough i mean like i guess the circular one can be seen as feathers that i did in the middle, the block shape box looks more like butterfky wings now that i think about it and for the square one i’m not even sure if you can tell if i put feather carvings on to it. Oh well, i’ll just maybe make more in the future ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
If anyone is wondering what I'm talking about this is from a TF fic that my friend @springingsour made so please check it out they really worked hard on it so give them many support Kay? ⊂((・▽・))⊃

THEORY:
Instead of Blue’s Raticate dying, he traded it.
In the anime, when Ash was on the S.S. Anne, he traded Butterfree for Raticate then back again.
The anime sometimes takes inspiration from the games. So maybe that was what it was alluding to.

Poke.
Your quill kept scratching against the parchment, jaw tight with effort to ignore the insistent jab of Sebastian’s finger in your arm.
Poke.
You side-eyed him. A silent, what are you doing? etched into your glare, which of course went ignored.
Poke.
“Sebastian,” you huffed, trying for stern, but the edge of your voice gave you away. He heard it, the flicker of fray.
He’d been at this all day. Not annoying, exactly, but so incredibly persistent. How intoxicatingly insufferable your boyfriend could be.
“You can’t wait one more hour?”
Sebastian, of course, could not. He knew he was being a bit maddening, yes—absolutely. But he could not help it.
You hadn’t looked at him properly all day. Not once. Not during breakfast, not in the corridor between Charms and Herbology, and now certainly not during Professor Ronen’s dry-as-dust lecture on charm theory. Something about the importance of understanding its history and we why should care. Sebastian couldn’t bring himself to.
He leaned in slightly, just close enough to see the edge of your notes. Your handwriting was frustratingly neat. As if you had the nerve to be focused when he was clearly in need of attention.
The betrayal.
He blinked at you, wide-eyed and innocent. “What?” he mouthed silently, like he hadn’t done anything at all.
Your eyes narrowed. A warning, again, before you kept writing. He could hear your quill scraping faster.
He resisted the urge to snatch it from your hand.
“Darling, I’ve waited all day. You’ve ignored me since breakfast. I’m practically wasting away here.” He said, just loud enough for you to hear, voice pitched low and velvety—dangerously charming, as Ominis would accuse him of.
The tiniest twitch in the corner of your mouth was a victory. Small, but potent.
Sebastian shifted in his seat, his knee bumping against yours now, no more poking, just contact. A subtle claim of territory.
His voice dropped further, playfully sinful. “Come on, love. Just one look. One little glance, and I’ll stop.”
A pause.
“…Maybe.”
You shook your head, biting your lip—and there it was. The smile you were trying so hard to fight off.
“I haven’t been ignoring you because I haven’t been sucking you off all day.”
Sebastain choked on a breath, sputtering slightly. Merlin, that earned a look from Professor Ronen, sharp and suspicious. He played it off with a cough, sitting up straighter like he was paying the utmost attention to whatever ancient magical charm system he was droning on about.
You just smirked.
Finally, your eyes lifted to meet his. He gave you a look, raising his eyebrows like really? while you just stared, cool and composed. Devastating. As if you hadn’t just made his entire blood flow relocate.
“I know that’s why you are being this way. All needy.” You cocked a brow. “Don’t lie.”
An answer was unnecessary, because you knew Sebastian Sallow. He was your damn boyfriend. You were never wrong when it came to him, knew every wire in his head and how to pull them taut.
Truth was, he had been wound up lately. Weeks of schedules that didn’t line up, late-night practices, exams, and professors who apparently thought you had nothing better to do than drown in ink.
Keeping your gaze on him, you flicked your eyes over his form, up and down his chest. No robes today. He hated how they made him ‘look like he followed the rules.’
Not that you were complaining. The white button-down clung to him like a secret. Tight across his shoulders, sleeves rolled to the elbow.
Handsome devil he was.
And it was written in your expression. Giving him that look. Not the annoyed one—the look. Where your eyes wondered just a touch too long, heat under the surface.
Sebastian damn near forgot where you guys were.
“Okay, I looked at you properly,” you said. “Now focus.”
And just like that, you snapped the leash back on—broke the trace—and left him blinking in the aftermath.
He stared at you for another beat, lips parted, breath caught somewhere between reverence and disbelief. Then he leaned back in his seat, grinning like an idiot.
“Cruel girl,” he muttered under his breath. “I love you.”
“Mm, I love you too.”
I came out syrupy sweet, a lazy purr of affection that cost you nothing but meant everything. It was something that should have made him relax, but you had no such intentions today.
You watched him shift in his seat uncomfortably at your words. Gods how you could make him fall apart so easily.
To your credit, Sebastian was trying. Genuinely. Eyes on his notes, quill in hand, posture practically textbook. He was scribbling something about the etymology of basic charms when you, without looking, placed your hand on his thigh.
“Pay attention,” you whispered.
It was the kind of voice that belonged in the back of the restricted section, or behind locked door in the Undercroft. Not here, in class, surrounded by students and a professor who had eyes like a bloody hawk.
“Then I’ll reward you.”
Merlin help him, your hand moved.
He actually twitched, his quill dragging a jagged line through his sentence. Ink splattered and he stared down at it like it might save him.
Now your hand was there, right over where he ached for you most. Palm warm, fingers teasing, the faintest pressure over the hard line of his arousal.
Sebastian turned sharply, jaw clenched, eyes burning into the side of your face.
“Darling,” he hissed. “You’re playing with fire.”
Your fingers didn’t move away. They lingered, patient and cruel.
As if he could focus now.
He exhaled slowly, dragging a hand over his mouth like that might somehow ground him.
“You’re evil,” he muttered. “You know that? Utterly evil.”
Yet, he didn’t stop you.
Nor did he stop himself.
With a glance to make sure there were no lingering eyes, Sebastian reached under the desk, finding the bare skin of your knee, trailing higher. His large hand disappeared beneath your skirt mid-day. No shame.
This is why you worked so well. The two of you matched each other’s energy. You could hit him something—anything—words, even hexes and he’d come back just as ruthless.
He bent forward just a bit more, lips grazing the shell of your ear.
“Undercroft. After class. No excuses.”
You giggled and shifted in your seat, the damp press on your underwear now unmistakable. You weren’t just getting under his skin, he was crawling under yours too.
The fact that you were suffering too made it so much worse. Sebastians trousers felt as if they were made of stone, and you both were squirming in your seat trying and failing horrendously at how badly you needed one another.
You both pulled away gently.
There were forty-five minutes left of class.
Forty-five fucking minutes.
It was dragging. Of course it was. Your head met the desk, cheek pressed against the wood as you meet your boyfriend’s gaze with mischief. Your hair spilled over the surface and the words Ronen was speaking might as well have been Gobbledygook.
His mind was already in the Undercroft, his hand on your hips, mouth on your throat—
Then you mouthed something that hit him like a goddamn Bludger.
I’m so wet for you.
His body fell rigid, chest tight. It was like you had cast a full-blown body bind on him with no wand. His erection throbbed painfully against his pants, and fuck, he couldn’t do anything about it. He couldn’t touch you like he’d been fantasying about in long torturous thoughts since the last time, which, bloody hell, had been weeks ago.
Sebastian Sallow was desperate for his sweet girl to be wrapped around him.
With deliberate precision, he pulled out a clean piece of parchment and wrote one line across the top:
“You won’t be able to walk straight after I’m done with you.”
He folded it once, slid it across the desk. Let it rest at the edge of your elbow before leaning back. Smiling.
You glanced at the paper and smirked smugly, not grabbing it right away, just letting it sit there like loaded weapon. He was practically vibrating.
When you finally picked it up, dainty as ever, your eyes scanned it like it was nothing more than a passing note. Calmly, like the picture of self-control, you dipped you quill in ink and wrote back in elegant script. Folded it and slid it back across the desk.
It felt as if it might explode.
Still, he grabbed it as quickly as he could.
Sebastian unfolded it under the desk, hands quick, heart thrashing.
“Can you do it in five minutes?”
He nearly choked.
His hand curled into a fist on his knee, the other crumpling the edge of the parchment slightly. Five minutes.
You had written it calm and innocent, challenge embedded between the lines that he easily read. When he glanced at you, you were already looking forward again, complete unfazed at the fact you had just ignited some primal in him.
Sebastian leaned in just slightly, mouth near her ear again, voice husky.
“I’ll make you come in three.”
When there was five minutes left in class, you both were unraveling. Knee’s bouncing in anticipation, Sebastian breathing out his nose trying to resist the urge to grab you and pull you into his lap. Do unspeakable things to his precious angel that would leave you both expelled from the castle.
The second that the clock hand clicked over, he was up and storming out of the classroom without a word, not even glancing to see if you were behind him. He knew you would be.
By the time you both entered the Undercroft, you had four minutes to get to your next class. The door slammed shut, and you’d barely taken two steps before he had you. His hands found your hips and he crashed his lips on yours with no mercy. It was hungry—raw lust.
You back hit the wall hard enough to knock the breath out of you, and he swallowed that gasp in a kiss that bruised. Your hands fisted the front of his shirt as you met him with equal fever, devouring each other.
His hand was already under your skirt like he’d been dreaming about every damn time he closed his eyes.
“Three minutes,” he muttered against your mouth.
You gasped as his finger dipped under your panties without pause, knuckles grazing your soaked heat. His other hand tangled in your hand and yanked your head back to bare you throat.
“Thought you said you were wet for me,” he whispered, lips dragging down your neck, teeth grazing the flushed skin. “Didn’t fucking warn me you were drenched.”
You whimpered, a sweet breathless sound that made Sebastian’s entire body clench.
Two fingers slipped into you without delay, curling just right. His thumb swiped over your swollen clit as he worked with a practiced, punishing rhythm. He knew your body instinctively.
Fuck.
It had been too long since he’d touched you like this. You were a moaning mess, bucking your hips into his hand, chasing your release like it would give you salvation. Nearly thirty seconds and he was already going to ruin you.
“Gonna come for me already darling?” he teased, right against your ear. Every twitch, every delicious sound told him the answer.
Your eyes squeezed shut. You were so close.
“Seb…”
“Yeah, I know.” His lips skimmed your jaw,. “You’re right there, aren’t you? Your body’s so ready to fall apart for me.”
His fingers didn’t let up, he kept thrusting, coaxing, and pressing just right. The lewd sounds coming from every movement of his hand proved just how expertly he was working you.
“Be a good girl. Come all over my fingers before class like that perfect little slut you are for me.” A lower, filthier, praise-laced command.
You shuddered, the pressure of your orgasm bubbling over nearly instantly as you broke for him, coming around his middle and ring finger like you were for made it. Your body arched back into the stone; mouth open in a choked sob of pleasure. Your head lolled forward onto his shoulder as he let you ride out every second.
But he wasn’t done. Not even close.
There was not a second for recovery. He pulled his fingers out with a wet sound, turned you roughly, and pressed you face forward into the ancient wall of the Undercroft.
“Fuck, look at you.” He nearly growled, dark with want. “Still shaking, and you’re ready for more.”
He pushed your skirt higher, bunching it around your waist. He slapped your ass, sharp and claiming, then shoved your panties aside to reveal you completely to him.
Sebastian let out a strangled sound at the sight.
“Please,” you begged, pressing back, grinding your slick folds against his clothed cock. “Need you. Need you to fill me.”
You didn’t need ask twice.
One-handed, he freed himself—his cock flushed red, thick, and leaking from being painfully hard the entire damn hour. He lined himself up and didn’t wait.
“Hands on the wall.”
You obeyed instantly, your fingers scraping against the stone.
He didn’t ease in. He couldn’t. He buried himself inside you in one hard, deep thrust. He slid in easily with how wet you were—felt your walls stretch and pulse around him like you did know whether to take it or cry out.
“Oh, fuck” You whined, already struggling to stay upright. You had nearly forgot just how big he was. There was nothing for you to hold onto, and that only made it hotter—how you braced yourself completely at his mercy.
“So tight.” He rasped, kissing your neck. “So perfect for me, every fucking time.”
He pulled out, slowly, just to hear the slick drag of your cunt before slamming into you again. He leaned in close, chest pressing against your back as he fucked you like he was trying to remind you of everything you’d been missing. Weeks without this. Weeks of stolen kisses, frustrated glares, empty nights in separate dorms and hurried goodbyes in hallway was all catching up in this one, hot, desperate moment.
Those sweet, wrecked little whimpered slipping from your lips were driving him absolutely mad.
“S-So good, Sebby—mmph!”
His grip tightened, hand splaying flat over your stomach, pulling you flush against him with every snap of his hips. He was so deep this way, and you took it. Craved it.
“Fuck angel,” he moaned against your shoulder, biting done just enough for you to feel it. “I’m not going to last—can’t—shit—”
His hand slid lower, right above where you were connected, finding your sensitive bundle of nerves and rubbing them in perfect circles.
“One more,” he whispered, voice pleading. “Give me one more.”
Sebastian’s thrusts were ragged now, sloppy with how close he was, but he always made his girl finish around him first.
Just like that, the intense wave of euphoria crashed over you again, giving him everything. Your cunt was clenching around him as he continued to pound into you. Babbles and incoherent incantations of his name sounded like prayer from your mouth.
It was holy.
With one last thrust, he buried himself to the hilt, vision going white as he followed you over the edge with a low, strangled groan. His forehead pressed to your shoulder as he emptied weeks of longing and restraint into you with each sharp pulse.
You both stayed like that, tangled and breathless, for a moment that felt outside of time.
“Fuck.” He finally breathed, still catching up with reality. “That was…you’re going to kill me.”
He pressed a soft kiss the back of your neck, hands gentle now as they soothed over the same skin he’d gripped so fiercely minutes before. His slipped out with a soft groan, his release instantly dripping down your thighs and onto the floor.
With a light turn, Sebastian made you face him to lean down a press an intimate kiss to your lips. You held his face like he was precious and not the same man that just fucked you senseless against a stone wall.
“How late are we?” You asked, hopeful it wasn’t too bad.
He smiled and pressed his lips to your temple before glancing at the watch on his wrist.
“Ten minutes,” he admitted. “Maybe twelve.”
His hand slid down to your ass, giving it another squeeze.
“But you know what?” His smiled turned wicked.
“Worth it.”

The Stuffed Bellbloom and the Mystery of Sparklium: A Pikmin Theory
Hey! Pikmin (HP) is considered a black sheep in the Pikmin series, standing out by offering a much different style of gameplay compared to other entries. Because of this, HP is often overlooked and disregarded when compared to the more streamlined, numerical entries. Despite this treatment, the influence of HP on the series cannot be denied, with one of the most prominent examples being the presence of Sparklium in Pikmin 4, an energy source first introduced in HP. Given the clear story relevance that HP has on the rest of the series, it may be worth analyzing other aspects of the game to see if a greater understanding of the wider narrative can be gleaned.
In the second level of Snowfall Field, the seventh sector of the game, Olimar encounters an enemy called a Stuffed Bellbloom.

This enemy appears to be a bulbous yellow sphere, with four tiny legs supporting its massive frame. On the front of its body are what appear to be porous holes, potentially its eyes. It has a large tail on its rear, resembling the opening of a bag, fitting given it releases Sparklium Seeds from this “opening” during the fight. Upon being defeated, it drops the Fond-O-Sphere, recognizable as a marble with a heart in it. While it may be easy to overlook a strange, one-off enemy in a Pikmin game, there may be more to this creature than meets the eye. Its general appearance heavily calls to mind a more common Pikmin enemy, the Yellow Wollyhop.

While these aesthetic similarities alone are rather striking, Young Yellow Wollyhops, the juvenile form of a Yellow Wollyhop, are frequently encountered in this area, with two being located right before the chamber of the Stuffed Bellbloom, suggesting a relationship between these juveniles and the Bellbloom.

Furthermore, it can be demonstrated via gameplay footage that the Yellow Wollyhop and the Stuffed Bellbloom have very similar mannerisms and attacks; they both hop in the air before crashing down on any Pikmin below them, and upon death they turn over on their side, defeated.
Given the aesthetic similarities as well as the direct connection to Young Yellow Wollyhops, it’s a reasonable conclusion that the Stuffed Bellbloom is, somehow, a Yellow Wollyhop. However, that merely opens the door for more questions; how does a Yellow Wollyhop change so drastically to become the alien-like Stuffed Bellbloom we see in HP?
The plot of HP (and to a lesser extent, Pikmin 4) revolves around collecting the previously mentioned Sparklium, or Sparkling Energy (キラキラエネルギー), a strange type of energy that is used as fuel for space-faring vessels, such as the S.S. Dolphin II and the S.S. Shepherd. This strange fuel is acquired in various ways, including by siphoning it from a wide variety of strange items.
Indeed, Sparklium is found in many objects, from household items like a Gameboy Advance to even living things such as plants - seeds full of Sparklium, also called Sparkle Seeds (キラの実), are found in abundance in HP. The Fond-O-Sphere that the Stuffed Bellbloom drops also contains Sparklium energy. Given that Sparklium can affect flora, as demonstrated by Sparklium Seeds, is it also possible that it can affect fauna?
The final boss of HP is the Berserk Leech Hydroe, which was originally just the Leech Hydroe until an important part of Olimar’s Ship, the Sparklium Converter, was lodged in its head. Olimar has this to say about it in the ingame logbook:
Normally, this is a harmless species of plant life. We only found out later that it grew vicious because the Sparklium Converter fell from the ship during our crash landing, falling onto the Leech Hydroe as it slumbered. The influx of energy sent its parasitic urges out of control.
Olimar - Hey! Pikmin
From here, we learn exactly what caused the Leech Hydroe to become violent and change appearance; the influx of energy - that is, the Sparklium from the Converter - modified its biology, sending its “parasitic urges out of control.” Because of this, we can determine that Sparklium can affect non plant-life as well. With this in mind, it is not out of the realm of possibility that the Stuffed Bellbloom is a Yellow Wollyhop that has been “affected” by Sparklium to a degree that its physical makeup has been substantially changed from that of a typical Yellow Wollyhop.
However, that merely opens the door to another question: If Sparklium can affect creatures in this way, what is Sparklium?
The Geiger Counter ship part that can be found in both Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 4 could be particularly revelatory here. As Olimar says,
This noisy gauge is always letting off spontaneous clicks and buzzes. It can be kind of annoying.
Olimar - Pikmin
Naturally, the implication here is that the Geiger Counter is commonly surrounded by radiation. This insinuates that the surface of PNF-404 is irradiated, which suggests a possibility: Sparklium may simply be radiation.
This interpretation of Sparklium is also supported by an in-universe note from Olimar in Pikmin 4, detailing treasure. It is accompanied by the following image:
Interestingly, per Pikipedia, the fan-run Pikmin Wiki, the above image features the following sentences written in the in-universe alphabet first used in Pikmin 3:
The references to dispersion and compression in this context are interesting; compression refers to the turning of raw Sparklium into fuel - probably by a Sparklium Converter, as seen in Olimar's S.S. Dolphin II in HP. Dispersion, however, could refer to the dispersion of radioactive ions, resulting in objects and creatures being influenced by radiation energy. This seems even more likely with the separation of "ion" from the rest of the term in dispersion.
This would explain several things: why Sparklium can be found within objects as well as living things such as plants and animals, why it can be used as an energy source, and, pertinent to the original purpose of the article, why it had the effect it did on the Stuffed Bellbloom.
A Yellow Wollyhop hoarded items full of Sparklium - or, more blatantly, radiation - which severely irradiated its body and caused its molecular makeup to begin drastically changing from its previous form.
In conclusion, while this isn’t necessarily conclusive on the topic of what Sparklium is, it strongly supports the notion that Sparklium is radiation energy.

Heritage Theory is Canon
I rise back from the dead (read: college kicking my ass) to say that MY THEORY WAS JUST CONFIRMED CANON. Look at the Japanese website:
Image transcript: The ruins and treasures of this planet, although different in size, are somehow similar to those we know, and sometimes even feel nostalgic. According to "The Shepard Complete History" written by the successive rescue team captains, the ancestors of the Kagiya [Giya] planet came from a "beautiful blue planet". If that was the planet PNF-404, we may have returned to our mother planet after a long time.
I WAS LITERALLY WORKING ON AN UPDATED VERSION OF MY THEORY POST WHEN THIS WAS POSTED.
I WAS RIGHT YA'LL.
I don't think I'll upload that updated version of the post, as it is (a) mostly unfinished and (b) kinda pointless now! Just know that evidence also comes from (all in Pikmin 4/related material):
Other parts of this same site
Olimar's notes on the Buddy Display, Heroic Shield, and Memory Fragment (Center Right)
A conversation you can have with Olimar post-final boss fight
Olimar's notes on the final boss
The Shepherd Family history
Also I want to share some more lore this site brings up. Because it also gives us some juicy Wraith Lore(tm) and some possible explanations for why some ships crash and others don't.
ALSO ALSO: This is all machine translated. If anyone has a human translated version, or is interested in making one, PLEASE let me know so I can reference it instead!
Image transcript: Consideration 1, small size, it doesn't have the engine power to escape the planet. Consideration 2, entering at a high speed, like a shooting star, it crashed into the planet at high speed.
Basically, the S.S. Beagle is small and entered at a high enough speed to escape the planet's grasp.
Image transcript: Unlike the space-time of the universe we know, it is believed that each time the stranded person observes the planet, it transitions to a different phase. The changes are so great that it's as if the planet itself has a will of its own.
This comes after a long description of how the planet changes every game. Just for further context.
Image transcript (with an error fixed for readability): Pikmin are always found near those lost in distress. They are friendly and devoted partners who cooperate with us to achieve our goals. However, isn't this a little too convenient? If the Pikmin are calling for a good leader to ensure the survival of their species and are preventing us from returning, it would be better to think that we are the ones being used. It falls into this category.
I don't think pikmin are evil, FAR from it... but they are still animals, animals that act to survive. You know? If pikmin ARE crashing the ships, then it's no more evil then how bulborbs eat pikmin to survive. Those are my two cents anyways.
Image transcript: According to Olimar, while inside the Amenyudo's [Plasm Wraith's] body, he dreamed of "giant humans similar to ourselves living with Pikmin and lots of other creatures." In addition, the roller-shaped stones of the Amebouzu [Water Wraith] have been found to contain minerals found in meteorites, which may suggest that they may be involved in the crash of the Dolphin. Perhaps they are dreaming of living with humans again and are causing the spaceship to crash?
WRAITH LORE. Also, note the translation of "human". There's a word on the site that the characters use to refer to themselves collectively, which the machine translator translates as "human". Based on me looking the word up on Jisho, an English-Japanese dictionary, this appears to be correct. However, as I don't know Japanese yet, I'll also clarify that "people" might also be a valid translation.
Anyways. Humans once lived with these weird creatures, wraiths and pikmin included. The wraiths missed us. Please ignore how they're also homicidal towards the starfolk.
Image transcript: One theory is that the planet meets the definition of a living organism, meaning that it is somehow beckoning us to it, and that everything we experience here is being orchestrated.
Planet is alive.
I have no idea how else to end this off.
But the planet is alive.
And it wants us back.
#pikmin#pikmin theory#pikmin heritage theory#pikmin 4#borb screams#IM SO HAPPY YALL YOU HAVE NO IDEA#JUST#AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA#have any of you seen that one aesthetic image thats like#im homesick says the astronaut. so come home says huston. so come home says a voice in the stars.#yeah#nothing to add to that just yeah

By now, many people know that, back in the '90s, there were all kinds of rumors about how to get Mew in the first gen games that didn't require using Gameshark / Action Replay, or the glitch. The most famous one was "Mew is under the truck," with a variety of theories about how to interact with the truck by the S.S. Anne to get Mew to appear.
But what some people might not know is that we had tons of other bonkers rumors about the games back then, too, such as special locations you could unlock to catch the three starters. (In particular I remember that "Charmander field" was allegedly the out of bounds tall grass that's visible on the right side of Route 1.) But the one that I just remembered is --
OK.
So, as many know, the original series of the anime featured Gen 2 pokémon before the Gen 2 games were released. Most notable of these were Ho-Oh in the very first episode, and later on, Misty's Togepi. Misty's Togepi was found as an egg in an anime-only location known as the Grandfather Canyon, along with a host of fossil pokémon. The thing is, the fossil pokémon were all Gen 1 pokémon that we were familiar with; Togepi was brand new, and unlike Ho-Oh there was no room to speculate that it was one of the pokémon we'd already seen, just animated oddly.
(There was actually a kid in my grade who had a father who did business trips to Japan, and because we didn't have worldwide releases back then, by the time this conversation happened Gen 2 stuff was already out / being marketed in Japan. By "this conversation" I mean one where the kid told us that Ho-Oh's name was Ho-Oh, and none of us believed him, because even at the tender age of 8 or 9 "my dad went to Japan and he said so" sounded bogus. And then he ended up being proven correct like a year later. I hope he at least got to feel smug about it.)
But of course, this brought with it a whole new round of rumors, because Togepi was in the anime, but so far none of us had encountered it in the games. And the Gen 1 games were all we had at the time; Gen 2 hadn't even been announced in North America yet when that episode aired. (Again, apologies to the Ho-Oh truther.) So that led everyone on the playground to wonder: how do we get Togepi?
Well, the answer was partially obvious. Togepi's egg was found in the Grandfather Canyon. So obviously, if we go to the Grandfather Canyon in our games, we can get Togepi there. But then that spawned a new question, which was: how do we get to the Grandfather Canyon?
And thus a whole host of new rumors were born, legends of how you could go to this place and use this move with this pokémon in order to access the Grandfather Canyon and catch Togepi. All of which was, of course, completely bogus. But this was the '90s, our access to information was limited, and we didn't yet understand that the anime was completely separate from the games (with Yellow not helping things in that regard -- many rumors stated Grandfather Canyon and therefore Togepi could only be accessed in Yellow Version since it was adapted from the anime). So we speculated and theorized and spread baseless rumors on how to get to Grandfather Canyon and Togepi.
(Later on, building up to the release of the first movie and Pikachu's Vacation, it also became rumored that you could catch Pikablu in Grandfather Canyon -- or, sometimes, the Unknown Dungeon if you did special things. Once we all saw Pikachu's Vacation we learned Marill's actual name, but for awhile we did dub it "Pikablu" because of its pika-like features and blue color. I'd snark about our creativity, but Nintendo of America literally decided "Leafeon" was a good name when my brother and I came up with that when we were 7 and 8 respectively and were trying to figure out how to get a grass-type eeveelution with the Leaf Stone available in Celadon City's department store, so you know what, I'm giving us all a pass on that one.)
Anyway, the point I'm making here is: when we saw an anime-only special location like Grandfather Canyon back in the '90s, we all immediately started trying to figure out how to access it in our games. And I'm hoping that the kids today do the same thing with Rakua in ScarVio. I hope that the elementary aged students insist that you can get to Rakua in ScarVio by doing this or that, or going to this or that location with a special pokémon. It feels like it's unlikely given the internet, but what is the internet for if not the spreading of misinformation and rumors? I just hope that the youth get to have a similar experience. Let them have those memories.
#pokemon#if i had my way Leafeon would be named Floreon#(like flora + the eon suffix)#Floseon could also work since flos is latin for flower#or Arboreon - with arbor being latin for tree#(latin being pulled bc Umbreon's whole deal ofc)#point is: Leafeon has the lamest fucking name out of all the eeveelutions#they didn't try even a little bit. surprised Glaceon didn't get named Snoweon#justice for Leafeon having a lame name AND a terrible shiny#bc you KNOW it should've had its leaves turn bright red or orange to resemble autumn leaves for its shiny#instead of just having a slightly different shade to it#you KNOW i'm right#anyway

The Origins of Pikmin (Part 1)
The following is Part 1 (because Tumblr's text limit sucks) of an adaptation of my first published Pikmin Theory in written form. While I’ve previously presented this as a YouTube video, it was actually originally written for this blog. As Pikmin 4 has released and only provided even stronger support for the theory, I’ve decided to publish it here once again, as originally intended, with more evidence from both Pikmin 4 and its predecessors - an extensive expansion to say the least, so even if you've seen the video this should still act as an interesting piece of supplementary material.
I hope you all enjoy!
In Pikmin 1, Olimar crashes on what we know as Earth, seemingly after the extinction of humans and familiar wildlife:
“This is an ever-surprising ecosystem. What has caused this planet's vegetation to grow to such gigantic proportions? In comparison to the Pikmin and the other creatures of this planet, the scale of the plant life here seems inexplicable. Perhaps, long ago, creatures of incomprehensible size walked the surface of this planet. Just imagine!”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“This must be the fossilized remains of an enormous land-dwelling creature. I was unable to piece together the entire beast, but it certainly had a massive head! It's obviously quite different from the Pikmin and other creatures I've encountered. Perhaps it's an extinct creature that couldn't adapt to changes in its environment.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 2, August 2004]
“This appears to be a huge bird feather, but I've never seen the creature it once belonged to. I wonder if I ever will. I've only seen a few airborne creatures on this planet. I wonder why? Maybe it's just because I haven't encountered them yet. Oh no... What if they saw me take this feather? They could be watching me, waiting for the perfect moment to take their sweet revenge!”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 2, August 2004]
When Olimar arrives on the planet, later dubbed by Koppaites as “PNF-404”, he discovers the Pikmin, species of plants with animal-like features. The Pikmin are seemingly quite close to extinction upon discovery, with their nests, the Onions, buried in the ground and incredibly low in population. In fact, it appears the only reason they aren’t extinct is because the Onions are able to produce emergency seedlings after a Pikmin extinction. The Pikmin don’t seem to know how to hunt for the nutrients necessary to survive and reproduce without Captain Olimar’s help.
“Even some wild Pikmin have become extinct, it seems, and there are some very rare varieties that can only be created by tossing Pikmin into a flower called a Candypop Bud.”
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
At the end of Pikmin 1, we see that Olimar has taught the Pikmin how to fight for themselves, when they attack a Bulborb on their own and seemingly remain on the planet’s surface overnight as Olimar heads for home. This carries over into Pikmin 2, where the Red Pikmin are seen fending for themselves when Olimar and Louie return to PNF-404, as well as Pikmin 3, where the Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin and Rock Pikmin at the very least have somewhat large populations despite some of their Onions being in peril.
The essence of my point is that the Pikmin don’t seem equipped to survive on this planet, which begs the question of how it is they survived through the planet’s evolutionary history until the point of Captain Olimar’s arrival…
The Pikmin certainly have some peculiarities. They’re Ambuloradices, described as having both plant and animal features by explorers in various games:
“Pikmin are part of the Ambuloradicis class, which consists of creatures that exhibit both plant and animal characteristics.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
“[#] days have passed since I began my search with the Pikmin. They are an ever-mysterious life-form. They grow like plants do, but they're also mobile and active like animals are. Individually, they seem weak, but in truth, I am beginning to believe that they could be an exceptionally mighty species if properly organized. I certainly hope so.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“What exactly are these Pikmin? One could classify them as both plant and animal. They mature from leaf, to bud, and finally to blossom. When all of one color are lost, the Onion instinctively puts out new seeds... How does it know to do this? What a mysterious life-form!”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“The Pikmin sprout from seeds and transform from plants into animals when uprooted. They treat outsiders like us as their leaders, obediently following us and even risking their lives for us when necessary. Yet it's this obedience that has aided in their propagation and survival. Perhaps it is actually the Pikmin who are controlling us.”
[Source: Alph, Koppaite Scientist and Engineer of the S.S. Drake, Playable Character in Pikmin 3, July 2013]
“The leaf on a Pikmin's head can develop into a bud, and then into a flower. It seems that if a Pikmin sprout is left in the ground, these developments take place over time. In this way they appear very plant-like, and yet once they have been plucked they show their animal aspect. A completely fascinating creature...”
[Source: Brittany, Koppaite Botanist and Crew Member of the S.S. Drake, Playable Character in Pikmin 3, July 2013]
This is despite the fact they're believed to have evolved from terrestrial root vegetables:
“It is generally believed that the Pikmin body was originally the root of a plant that has evolved over centuries, if not millennia, developing structures analogous to muscles, neural networks similar to those of a brain, and more.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
“The accepted theory is that Pikmin evolved from terrestrial root vegetables, and so would be unable to breathe underwater and subsequently drown.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
The bodies of Rock Pikmin are special stones stored within Rock Candypop Buds and Rock Onions which the root system and vital organs of the Rock Pikmin spread throughout. Why and how would the Onions and Candypop Buds develop this stone stockpiling functionality?
“This species is definitely a member of the Pikmin genus, but its body does not share any of the plant-like traits that Pikmin are known for. Instead, it's composed primarily of stone. The stone is actually the chosen host for a parasitic subset of Pikmin species nicknamed "Hermikmin." Similar to how a seed can sprout and push through the cracks of a rock, the Pikmin's roots stretch deep into the stone, storing its vital organs in an interior cavity that resembles a crystal geode.Because this species displays characteristics common in parasitism, one could hypothesize that the Rock Onion and Rock Candypop Bud stockpile stone that will eventually host the Rock Pikmin.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
Winged Pikmin feature distinctly insectile wings on their bodies, a massive evolutionary improbability. It's hypothesised by leaders that perhaps the Winged Onions absorbed DNA resulting in the modern Winged Pikmin's body plan, but why would Onions have that capability?
“The wings on the back of this flying Pikmin species closely resemble the wings you would find on a flying creature. It's possible that an ancient Winged Onion somehow absorbed a flying creature's DNA, which then resulted in the precursor to the Winged Pikmin transforming into the species we recognize today. If this theory is correct, then Onions might also be serving the role of messenger, transmitting new traits and characteristics to their Pikmin.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
Olimar even mentions that it’s almost like the Pikmin were waiting for the brain of an alien leader of some sort to lead them, like they knew following Olimar would help them survive.
“I wonder if these Pikmin were waiting for me to arrive. No... Not necessarily me, but an alien being like me who could fight alongside them. On this planet they are a weak species, but maybe they see that they can use the power of an alien brain to climb to the top of the natural order. Such ideas make me wonder if it isn't I who is being used by them...”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“The Pikmin's Purpose I wonder if these Pikmin were waiting for me to arrive. On this planet, they are a weak species, but if they're trying to use the power of an alien brain to climb to the top of the natural order... I have to wonder if it isn't me who is being used by them.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
They seem to have a natural inclination towards or instinct for following and taking orders from intelligent humanoids, as is further noted by the Hocotate Freight ship in Pikmin 2, Alph in Pikmin 3 and Olimar in Pikmin 4:
“At last, you have encountered them! They seem to have gill-like ducts on their cheeks. They must be blue Pikmin! Like the other types, they look to you for direction. While they are indeed surviving naturally they still seem to long for a valiant leader.”
[Source: The Hocotate Freight ship (First model S.S. Dolphin), Deteriorating Hocotate Freight adventure vessel, Non-Player Character in Pikmin 2, August 2004]
“It seems that Pikmin are driven by instinct to carry away anything they see lying around. Prey that will increase their numbers are carried to the Onion, whereas things they cannot use are carried to the spaceship or to their original location. Thus, their carrying instinct lets them form symbiotic relationships with species like us. This could be the key to their success.”
[Source: Alph, Koppaite Scientist and Engineer of the S.S. Drake, Playable Character in Pikmin 3, July 2013]
“A Pikmin will instinctively follow whoever plucks them from the ground, so it is quite common for them to form symbiotic relationships with another species or accept a leader of a different species, as it serves the goal of propagating their own species as a whole.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
“Pikmin have a disposition to carry things that will increase their ranks to the Onions, and to carry everything else to their leaders' spaceship. They may instinctively sense what we need and seek to strengthen our symbiotic relationship...”
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
Pikmin form a natural symbiosis with the leaders from the moment they're plucked. With their leaders commanding them, Pikmin quickly become one of the most powerful species on the planet.
“TOPIC 2 - A SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH LEADERS What is a symbiotic relationship? Symbiotic means a mutual relationship that different organisms have with each other while active in the same space. But both sides don't always benefit from it; sometimes it only seems to be a one-way street. What about Pikmin though? LEADERS AND PIKMIN EACH BENEFIT When a Pikmin sprout is plucked, it will appear to recognize its leader as such and follow them. From this moment on, a symbiotic relationship of sorts between leader and Pikmin is formed. (The leaders' benefit) With lots of Pikmin in tow, they will be able to transport heavy objects and defeat creatures that stand in their way. (The Pikmin's benefit) With a capable leader on board, the Pikmin can rapidly increase their ranks and become the most powerful creatures on the planet.”
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
Even Pikmin that have become separated from the squad, fail to form a symbiotic relationship and become wild will instantly fall in line and take orders in the presence of a leader to command them. It's almost like it's part of their very DNA...
TOPIC 3 - WILD PIKMIN Spotted by the Crew! Pikmin in the Wild The Pikmin that fail to establish a successful symbiotic relationship and decrease in number, as well as those who become separated from their group, may sometimes revert to a wild state and move their activity underground.
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
“Wild Pikmin Wild Pikmin found underground can be brought to the surface and added to an Onion. However, when tasked with transporting a pellet, the resulting seed ends up the same color as the Onion. I must be careful, as these Pikmin cannot be propagated right now.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
That’s not to mention some other oddities, such as the natural cap of a certain number of Pikmin being active within a given radius of a set of Onions in the field, which is apparently believed to help prevent a Pikmin extinction, or the fact that in order to reproduce Pikmin require being plucked from a sprout after being planted.
“I have made yet another Pikmin-related discovery. Just when I was about to exceed 100 Pikmin in the field. the Onion stopped expelling seeds, yet the total number of Pikmin continued to climb. It seems that once there are 100 Pikmin in the field. subsequent seeds get stored inside the Onion. Thus, no more than 100 Pikmin can be in the field at one time in any area.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“The Onion stopped spitting out seeds! But the Pikmin inside the Onion still seem to be increasing in numbers. Apparently, once the number of Pikmin in the field reaches 100, any new Pikmin will stay inside the Onion. This means that a maximum of 100 Pikmin can be active outside the Onion at any one time.”
[Source: Alph, Koppaite Scientist and Engineer of the S.S. Drake, Playable Character in Pikmin 3, July 2013]
“Maybe Pikmin have evolved to self-limit how many can be out on the surface at a time to prevent unnecessary loss.”
[Source: Captain Shepherd, Giyan Leader of the Rescue Corps, Rescue Pup trainer and Captain of the S.S. Shepherd, Non-Player Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
“Preservation Instincts The Onion stopped releasing seeds! I went to check on it and saw that the Pikmin will only propagate inside the Onion once a certain number are out on the surface. Could limiting the number of active Pikmin be a strategy to avoid extinction?”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
“When the number of Pikmin on the surface exceeds a certain number, they start to multiply inside the Onion. Apparently, they are trying to control the number of Pikmin active at one time to prevent their total extinction.”
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
Who “naturally” does this plucking when beings like the Hocotatians and Koppaites aren’t around? How can the Pikmin exist in the way they do?
There’s also an odd, seemingly “intentional” way for Pikmin to reproduce - using the easily accessible crystallised nectar of Pellet Posies, which develop quickly and pull all of the necessary nutrients from the ground. They even produce pellets with colours matching each Pikmin type in a region, tend to grow near Onion landing sites and have literal human numbers on them, indicating exactly how many Pikmin are required to carry them. It’s clear there’s a deeper connection here.
“In the stem of the pellet posy, one can observe the muscle fiber unique to half-plant, half-animal species such as the Pikmin and candypop flowers, so the pellet posy is a species that can be considered a close relative. Although the ability to crystallize nectar is unique to a small group of the pellet weed family, the fact that these plants reach maturity so quickly and that their pellets contain such high concentrations of the natural nutrients in the soil explains why the Pikmin and so many of the other indigenous species are so reliant on these pellets for sustenance.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 2, August 2004]
“The pellet cradled in its petals changes colors like some form of chameleon, aligning to match the color of nearby Pikmin. It's almost as though it's inviting us to come harvest it to make more. Even though it appears to be helping out, it's really just using us to spread its seeds!”
[Source: Dalmo, Sozorian Animal Enthusiast and researcher, Non-Player Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
Which brings me to the Onions themselves. When Olimar first discovers a Red Onion in Pikmin 1, he notes that it awoke as if it was waiting for his arrival. He questions what it is, whether or not it’s alive and then whether or not it’s a machine.
“A strange thing has appeared before me. I had barely begun my search when it reared up as if it were waiting for me. It then dropped a single seed. What is it? Is it alive? Is it a machine? It resembles a vegetable on my home planet that we call an onion. I shall call this an Onion too.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 1, December 2001]
Onions are clearly unnatural in some sense. They seemingly have mechanical parts, such as their flower-like propellers and jets. Some types even have what appear to be solar panels. Some types have a unique pattern, which also appears on the wrists of Mamutas, who themselves have a clear connection to planting and growing Pikmin. Onions take flight, entering orbit during the night, and are described as “a Pikmin mother ship” by the Hocotate Freight ship in Pikmin 2.
“The Onion ejected more seeds! The pellet from that flower must hold nutrients that breed Pikmin. Yes! The Pikmin gather nutrients, haul them to the Onion, and further propagate the species! The Onion is a Pikmin mother ship! Reviewing Olimar's report, it seems holding {A} lets one rapidly pluck Pikmin sprouts.”
[Source: The Hocotate Freight ship (First model S.S. Dolphin), Deteriorating Hocotate Freight adventure vessel, Non-Player Character in Pikmin 2, August 2004]
“Sometimes it lies dormant, much like a bulb, but dig it up from the ground and provide it with the right stimulus—for example, a good, hard shake—and it will activate, sprouting three rootlike legs. It serves a role similar to a nest or an incubator for the Pikmin, absorbing pellets or the bodies of dead creatures for their nutritional value, then propagating Pikmin the same color as itself. Onions also seem to greedily attempt to replicate certain characteristics of the matter they absorb by combining with, or absorbing, other Onions, sometimes of the same type. It's been confirmed that just like Pikmin, an Onion has muscle fibers in its body, and though it is unable to walk it is capable of a small range of motion. However, when one breaks down the biological matter it has absorbed a fuel similar to bioethanol is created. Onions spray this fuel out of the mouths on their underbellies and are able to fly using their flowerlike propellers for stabilization.”
[Source: Captain Olimar, Employee of Hocotate Freight and Captain of the S.S. Dolphin, Playable Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
The Onions were later classified by scientists as an entirely different species from Pikmin. This means that much like the Pikmin-leader symbiosis, the very basis of Pikmin reproduction is symbiosis with the Onion species.
“"The majesty of nature," "the mystery of life"… I feel that these stale clichés can't fully express the extraordinary symbiotic relationship between Pikmin and Onions. Is there a connection here of an affectionate nature, perhaps? There's so much we still don't know!”
[Source: Dalmo, Sozorian Animal Enthusiast and researcher, Non-Player Character in Pikmin 4, July 2023]
“Pikmin not only increase in numbers by living symbiotically with their leaders, but seemingly even the means by which they are born are obtained through symbiosis. By providing nutrition to the Onion, an object which can be considered their nest or incubator, they sprout seeds and multiply. But in fact, while Onions are similar in species to Pikmin, they are said to be completely different beings... Next time, we'll report about these so-called Onions.”
[Source: Chet, Mihaman Scientist and Research Task Force leader, Pikmin Garden, Nintendo Co., Ltd. website]
On the subject of Onions, Pellet Posies and Pikmin reproduction, the recently observed Lumiknoll exist in a very interesting related position. Lumiknolls and their juvenile form Tricknolls sprout at night and produce Glow Pikmin. Glow Pikmin, while resembling Pikmin in appearance and behaviour, are not technically classified as Pikmin. Lumiknolls appear at Onion landing sites, smell like Onions and are even speculated to be Onion rhizomes of some sort. It seems that Lumiknolls and Glow Pikmin, with their leaf-dissolving enzymes, exist for the purpose of breaking down deceased Pikmin (and other nectar-based wildlife) and returning their nectar to the soil for Pellet Posies to absorb and crystalise, perpetuating the life cycle of the Pikmin.
“Besides the fact that they serve as incubators and nests for Glow Pikmin, we know very little about the Lumiknoll's ecology. When nocturnal creatures die, a Lumiknoll can break them down into glow pellets through its strong dissolving enzymes. This matter, when condensed, becomes glow sap. One might assume glow sap is then an extremely dangerous substance, but it has hardly any negative effects. In fact, I've had it administered to me personally as a curative medicine to break down growing leaves. Lumiknolls will only appear in places where an Onion was located earlier in the day, and since they propagate Glow Pikmin, one could surmise that they are rhizomes from those Onions. Perhaps, using its dissolving powers, it returns the nectar that supports the ecosystem back to the soil.”

“Smells a lot like an Onion. The green juice is particularly delicious!”

Pikmin Theory: The Sparkly Wraith
⚠️CONTENT WARNING: HEY! PIKMIN⚠️
This post is huge, so I'm just putting the entire thing under the cut.
Preamble
So, during my Pikmin hyperfixation, which I can't even tell if it's over or not, really, I was getting really into trying to solve Pikmin lore, and never really got to put the pieces together. The reason? I watched DazzReviews' decade-old video about Umibozu Theory. No offense to the guy, I used to watch his other videos, but that fucking theory gave me one of the worst headaches of my life with how horrible it was and how little sense the points made. It made me feel physical pain. So, naturally, when I saw references to the theory start popping up in the wild, I just... Gave up. I've been avoiding Pikmin lore theorizing like the plague ever since, because, like, I don't want that to happen again. But then I realized I can't escape it, even if I tried, and I know that because I just saw it brought up in passing. Again. I know there's modern updates of the theory to get it up to date to Pikmin 4, but I'm not checking them to see if they hurt my head too.
Meanwhile, I brought this up in a previous post, but one of my friends around this time started making terrible Nintendo game ideas as part of a long-term troll him, me and another friend have been planning for a while now, and I... Got way too into the Pikmin ideas for it. I was trying to come up with really dumb lore, using all the dumb trivia I've learned, and instead via divine revelation was given this theory. I thought I got myself out, but this has pulled me back in. I probably could've left all of this out, but it's a funny story, so...
I have at least one other big theory for Pikmin lore, so I may type that up some time, too.
Part 1: Prerequisite Knowledge/Assumptions
This is assuming you're at least familiar with all 5 Pikmin games and what happens in them. In other words, spoilers. But you've had years to figure this all out, I don't need to say that.
I don't know yet if this will be all too relevant, but I'm working under the assumption that the timeline is 1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 3 -> Hey!. The Koppai food crisis is mentioned to be incoming in 4, and the Treasure Catalog entries for the music box treasure with Pikmin 3's title theme imply that the game's events haven't happened yet, especially Olimar's. In Pikmin 3, Hocotate Freight's almost bankrupt again, Olimar's using the Hocotate Ship, and the S.S. Dolphin's seemingly been sold... Again (They probably bought it back in-between Pikmin 2 & 4 with the newfound company wealth), and Olimar mentions wanting to buy it again, and then he has the S.S. Dolphin II in Hey!, where he also recognizes the Pikmin 3 Pikmin, meaning it's either after 4 or 3, so there you go. No, I don't have an explanation for how Pikmin 2's globes imply PNF-404 looks like present-day Earth, when Pikmin 3 has Pangaea Proxima, or a couple other inconsistencies (The Voyage Logs do seem to be non-chronological, iirc the "I'm so very tired..." log with a picture of Hero's Hideaway appears before Olimar goes there, and Olimar was keeping logs in Pikmin 1 & 2 that we may also be seeing to explain why he's seemingly unfamiliar with things like Pikmin & Onions, so like... Other stuff besides those), you'll have to figure that out for yourself.
Speaking of Pangaea Proxima, yea, if you look at the map in Pikmin 3's area select, you'll see it's actually based on a speculative map of what the world will look like in roughly 300 million years, and it's named Pangaea Proxima... I think there was another name, Pangaea Ultima or something, but I prefer Proxima. The only difference is the Formidable Oak's placement, when it's not supposed to be there in the actual map. So that gives us a time placement for when the games are taking place, and humans went extinct... At some point. No, I don't know why Hero's Hideaway indicates recent habitation, or how all of the treasures are perfectly preserved, you'll have to figure that out for yourself. Or, more accurately, for me.
Anyways, Sparklium. A bizarre material that doesn't have mass, but is found in... Basically every object you can think of? All of the treasures in Pikmin 4 & Hey! Pikmin, but are primarily found in metallic objects. It also seems to manifest as gold nuggets, though it can also be red, rainbow, or an acorn... Wait, how can it be an object if it has no mass? Anyways, it can be used as fuel, and doesn't seem to ever run out, as you don't spend it in either game, you keep it all, and there's a ship part called a Sparklium Converter that... Converts Sparklium to usable fuel, I guess, and for some reason when it's lodged into the Leech Hydroe, that makes it incredibly angry. The solidified Sparklium primarily appears in Sparklium Springs, lakes of water with an inexplicable rainbow aura shooting up into the sky where Sparklium nuggets will periodically spill everywhere.
We don't know if those are on PNF-404, but they're definitely on the Hey! Pikmin planet, which was also home to a human civilization comparable to our own that is also gone now... Which doesn't make sense, if we're talking space colonization, but whatever. I've named this planet Heihei, because... Hey!, and also it's a word for Chicken in another language, which is funny. Heihei also shares wildlife with PNF-404, for some reason, somehow including Pikmin when you can assume that if Leafling dogs can't leave the planet, Pikmin shouldn't be able to either, but that's for you to figure out for yourself.
Also, someone did the math on all of the people who have crashed on PNF-404 because of the asteroids around it, and it's over 20 crashes. The only people who have gotten there without interruption have been Olimar & the President returning for Louie in Pikmin 2, Olimar and Louie returning to PNF-404 for more treasure in Olimar's Assignment and again to fix the Hocotate Ship in Olimar's Comeback, and Pom (Is it common knowledge that's the community name for the Pikmin 4 protagonist? Just in case, that's who Pom is.) coming to save the Rescue Corps (and everyone else).
Speaking of the Rescue Corps, you can unlock diary entries from the past that imply the little people are descendants of humanity after some sort of apocalypse drove them underground:
"The surface! We made it at last! Finally, we can begin making a fresh start here on this planet. Of course, it will take many long months and years before what we've built here will be anything like what we once had. But we won't be alone. Our beloved dogs will be by our side as we walk this long, difficult road."
"Many years have passed since we first began to make this land our new home. Still, we need more time to complete our environmental adaptations. In the meantime, we must survive so that, one day, we can pass down this new history to our children, and pass down the ways we've learned to rescue and protect everyone. One day we will live here in peace."
""Beyond the sky itself there lies a beautiful blue planet." Those words have been passed down from captain to captain, calling to each of us. I can't imagine what sort of place this blue planet might be, but it's said to be home to even more dogs and folks that we have here. One day, I hope to fly beyond the sky...and into space."
I'm probably forgetting something, I'll figure it out as I write out the actual theory.
Part 2: The Shining Demon
Humanity somehow went extinct on at least two different planets, and Sparklium is also absolutely everywhere on those two planets. The Sparklium Springs' rainbow aura is... Uh... Strange, that's not how things work, it looks otherworldly, and Sparklium is inexplicably spilling out of it, and they all have water. We already know about some otherworldly being associated with water: The Water Wraith. Them and a couple other instances (Glow Pikmin, the Smoky Progg and Gloom are the first things that come to mind) show that there's some esoteric unexplainable property of the Pikmin universe allowing for strange, almost paranormal things to occur.
I don't have a clean transition into this, but hear me out: There's a supernatural entity of some sort that I'm naming the Shining Demon, that somehow threatened humanity on all of it's planets, so the people got together and broke it apart into Sparklium, and sealed all of it away in the Sparklium Springs of Heihei, probably in some sort of extradimensional space (Fun fact, there's a random reference to the "Master of Dimension X" in a Pikmin 2 sales pitch that goes unexplained, so I'll refer to this as Dimension X from now on just to use the name), with that rainbow aura over the water being the magic seal. However, over time, the seal began to fade, and the Sparklium began to spill out, and integrate into all of the objects around the planet, probably spreading to PNF-404 when people went from one planet to the other, or there's unseen PNF-404 Sparklium Springs, either or.
It's safe to assume that the Sparklium Converter has Sparklium in it, and you know what it does to the Leech Hydroe. That thing was so aggressive, it was the final boss, and one of two bosses that give you any semblance of challenge in Hey! Pikmin. It's also shown to be in living (or previously living) treasures such as fruit, meat and fossils, and just about any other kind of object you can think of, so the Sparklium could've either gotten into animals & plants to make them aggressive towards humans, or gotten directly into humans to kill them from the inside, or something.
Now, where else could it go from there? You know how it's primarily in metal objects, especially in Hey! Pikmin? What object has strange properties in the Pikmin series that's made of tons of metal? THE ASTEROIDS. And if the Pikmin people are descendants of the humanity that the Shining Demon hated so much it drove to extinction, and it's in control of the things it's inside, AND Sparklium is used as a fuel source and is thus also in the spaceships, then you can put two and two together and assume that it's crashing people to get them stuck in it's territory where it can kill them to finish the job.
But, if it was originally a living being, if you were to put enough Sparklium together in one place, could it not form together once again? That's exactly what it did.
Part 3: Fool's Gold
The Plasm Wraith is a fragment of the Shining Demon. I mean, come on. Not only does it look like gold, it's Elemental Plasms are based on Cubic Pyrite. Fool's Gold. Olimar is demonstrated to be a fool, having been scammed multiple times if you read the Pikmin 1 Ship Part descriptions, and thinks that the Plasm Wraith is gold, which is why he goes to collect it, even when Louie is apprehensive, because he enjoys treasure hunting a foolish amount now.
In the Pikmin 3 Deluxe Piklopedia, Olimar speculates that the hole in the Plasm Wraith's face is a "manifested psychic wound". If it was torn apart and sealed in the Sparklium Springs, then magic or esoteric shit of some sort was already involved, so that could've been from when people were trying to kill it directly. Also, it makes sense that the psychic wound is where it's "head" is.
Remember in Part 1 where I mentioned 3 out of the 4 times people were allowed to come to PNF-404 without being attacked were Olimar? At this point, I think the Plasm Wraith, or more accurately the Sparkly Wraith, piece of the Shining Demon, recognizes that for whatever reason Olimar keeps coming back and putting a ton of Sparklium in one place, so it's just... Letting him come so that it can keep taking shots at him, and he literally walks right up to it. Why wouldn't it want him to put all of the Sparklium in one place? It'd help it form into another Plasm Wraith. It hasn't done that yet, I guess because he never gets enough together, but still, it's possible.
Also, you know how the Plasm Wraith seems to be caressing Olimar when the Koppaites arrive at the Formidable Oak? Two possibilities:
It likes him now, because it views him as an instrument it can manipulate to get back in one piece, so it just kinda... "Takes care of him". I don't know what it was planning to do, since Olimar was there, for like, at least a week.
It wants to figure out how to get into him like it might've gotten into the humans and all the other objects. Olimar's sealed up in a spacesuit, which it might view as foreign, so it's really curious about him... And wants to learn how to penetrate the suit, so that it can kill/control the current descendants of humanity. Speaking of...
If you check the Pikmin 3 Deluxe Piklopedia, Louie ate the Plasm Wraith. And a lot of other stuff, including the animals we know the Shining Demon might be in control of because of the Leech Hydroe, treasure in Pikmin 4 which I've established has Sparklium in it... Whoopsie. That'd explain why he progressively starts talking less, as Olimar mentions in Pikmin 3, and starts lashing out more and more... Then again, that unused cutscene has Louie reveal he believed he was kidnapped by the Koppaites, so, I don't know. Is that still canon if it was removed? Whatever.
Side tangent here, Louie wasn't controlling the Titan Dweevil, because if he was, he would've been able to control the Scornet Maestro to stop it from eating/attacking/kidnapping him, because that's also a bug. The Titan Dweevil probably just liked Louie's antenna, or something, as it likes shiny objects, and Louie's sociopathy and uncaring demeanor towards animals (He eats EVERYTHING which requires killing everything) rubs off on it when Olimar comes back, plus potential feelings of betrayal or anger or whatever, because the Volatile Dweevils mimic the behavior of the objects they carry so the Titan Dweevil might to, but all of that influence would've been accidental, as he's unconscious. He did, however, use the Ancient Sirehound to lash out intentionally, even after hearing Olimar's voice. Got it? Got it.
By the way, you know how in Pikmin 4 the Pikmin 3 fruits return, and have Sparklium in them? And the Koppaites bring all of that back home to eat? Shit. (I stole this from the Umibozu Theory video I complained about earlier, and I'm not sorry.)
I don't have a good conclusion here, just like how I didn't have a good start. Just... Deal with it.
Part 4: TL;DR
Sparklium is actually a fragment of an esoteric entity I've named the Shining Demon that tried to kill off humanity, that was sealed away in the Sparklium Springs by humanity, only for the seals to gradually begin fading and begin releasing Sparklium that then infects all sorts of objects and creatures, which it then used to kill humanity. However, some humans survived, escaped underground, and evolved into the small people we see in Pikmin over 300 million years, and are constantly attacked by the asteroids around PNF-404 and the Hey! Pikmin planet that have Sparklium in them, in an attempt to get them into it's territory to kill them off and finish the job.
The Plasm Wraith is a lot of this Sparklium fused together into a living being, much weaker than the Shining Demon, and Olimar's idiocy directly benefits it by hoarding tons of Sparklium, so it captures him and either wants to use him to further it's own goals or wants to figure out how to break through his spacesuit so it can kill everyone it can via it's Sparklium infection, and it's also potentially infected Louie due to him consuming Sparklium, as well as the Koppaite trio and potentially the rest of Koppai.
I don't know where the Water Wraith fits in here, but it may have some connection to the Sparklium Springs, I guess.

Survey Updates!
hi folks,
It's been awhile, but I have read through and taken into serious consideration all the feedback I received after our '23 gift giving season! Here are the Updates™ to look forward to...
tldr: reminders/promo in MAY, applications in AUG, stocking stuffer details; gift exchange details; Discord server details
Sign-Ups // Applications
• Promo and sign-up reminders will become a bi-weekly reminder starting in May; this ensures that folks can plan ahead well into their calendars so everyone has more breathing room during the creation period.
• Applications will be released sometime in August! It will most likely be the latter half, aiming for the weekend of 8/17-18; this ensures that applications exist a little longer for people to get ahold of and think over where they may be during the creation/gift-giving periods. This also allows you to ask questions well in advance!
Stocking Stuffers
• Will be open to EVERYONE in the server! Still focused on JANUARY!
• these will be included in a separate section on the '24-'25 season application--folks would include their prompts/ships/details and when the time comes for S.S, I would post these within that section of the Discord for anyone to work with...this in theory would mean that you can sign up for both a gift and to participate in the bonus exchange, or you just sign up for one or the other.
• Sign-up for the bonus gifts is NOT required to participate in the year's gift exchange. Nor does it mean (if you sign up for both) that you are obligated to create a bonus gift! This allows me to tally the interest in the Bonus gifts better.
Gift Exchange // Event Modifications
• This season, I encourage you to aim for more prompts. We've had a lot of incredibly specific tropes (i.e: "Lovers to Enemies", "Sharing One Bed", "Mutual Pining") the past few seasons, and while you can still suggest those, there will be a section dedicated entirely to prompts within your application (i.e: "X and Y going fishing", "X wants to cook for the night, but Y fears for their life everytime X even steps foot in the kitchen") where you must include some PROMPTS that you'd like to receive a gift based on.
• There will be a mini-event for Halloween co-hosted with KakuHida Week because i pull all the strings. Very chill, where we will share prompts between events and there will be greater flexibility with some of the traditional CHARACTER INCLUSION guidelines. More details in May--posting will occur Monday, 10/28 - Sunday, 11/3. This is an opportunity to post smaller stories, one shots, drabbles, line art, sketches--you name it. Purely existing for a good time for the Akatsuki folks.
Server Setup, Communications, & Connections
• If you need anything--questions, insight, concerns---please DM on DISCORD. I am way more attentiative to that as opposed to Tumblr and will be keeping those notifs on. ;)
• Many folks suggested this one; we're going to try hosting mini check-ins and questions. Nothing deep: we have a pet channel, a good vibes channel, and a handful of 'share soemthing good in your life' to generate some more interaction. This is not going to affect anyone's event participations--I'm hoping to encourage a little more sense of community, as times can be tough and sometimes the most enjoyable thing in the day is bragging about the awesome lunch you just made---more details in May!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was a lot, so thank you for sticking with me. Please do not hesitate with questions! I am at multiple comic cons, reptile expos, and work in a forest, so if it takes me a few days, I sincerely apologize, but I will get back to you. Loves of love and Happy Earth Day! Go enjoy the weather if it's nice where you're currently at and maybe use a water bottle instead of a plastic cup.
stay groovy out there ~ mod GP 🤍
Hi! If you’re still doing the Q&A can you tell me about dreamlink technology? That sounds really cool
I'm always open for asks! I have been away for a bit due to some physical health problems, nothing too serious and I'm working on it. But I check my inbox semi-frequently and will answer asks when I have the time (such as now :D).
Okay, so Ad Infinitum is the newest WIP of mine, but that doesn't mean my brain hasn't done at least a little spinning of gears when it comes to worldbuilding and, in this case, sci-fi technologies.
Dreamlink, inspired (mostly in namesake*) by other similar concepts, is a technology in the sci-fi setting of Ad Infinitum that allows the user to control their dreams. (*Inspired by the dreamlink in Pokemon black/white (namesake only), and a little bit by the deep sleep/consciousness transfer technology in some of Scriptwelder's games)
When activated, before sleep, the user will be forced into a lucid dream dreamscape in which they have full control over said dream. In addition to this, the dreamlink console* can/will transmit and record data into/out of the dream, which allows the sending and receiving of messages/commands. (*In starships, the dreamlink console is built into sleeping pods(beds)/cryopods)
This technology is typically used in conjunction with cryostasis to not only allow the user to dream if they wish to, but to also allow the dreamer to still be in control/command of the outside world while in cryostasis. (In short, it allows people to always have lucid dreams, but also somewhat exploits peoples dreams so they never have to stop working :/)
You can, as the name would suggest, link dreams together if you want. Now this only works if both users are connected to the same dreamlink console which acts as a kind of server/database. ...do with that what you will.
Now, the biggest downside of this technology is it, of course, only affects creatures that can dream. Which not all species can, at least not in the setting of Ad Infinitum.
Another downside, albeit a niche one, is that if you do link your dream with someone else's, due to the nature of the technology they could kill you in the dream. Normally, this would wake one up. BUT, if you are in cyrostasis, this doesn't happen. The dreamlink does prevent pain, but not the shock, so... it isn't fun.
I haven't made lore of its invention, creator, use throughout history, or anything like that. I do know what it does and how it interacts with similar technologies (such as the aforementioned cryostasis).
Now, due to the hook and main story of Ad Infinitum, although Dreamlink is widely used among those who can use it, throughout the story it is one of many technologies whose existence is solely on the S.S. Whitespace. (In short, the story is about the exploration of scientific and mathematical theories concerning blackholes, whiteholes, wormholes, and parallel universes.)
I believe that is it for now. Anyone who wishes to ask me another or further questions is free to! ❤ I always love rambling about characters/lore.
It’s just my theory but remember how sure we were H will make a deal with L*ewe like those seedings when he suddenly stared to wear their clothes since April 2023, followed JWA. He and his now-fake-ex had a lunch with JWA and the announcement was just around the corner. But then there was that blind that the deal hadn’t been made. I think it was because AM told H he’ll be the next V*lentino creative director and so H made a last minute decision to follow AM for whatever fashion house he will create. And that’s why he’s in Italy spotted with AM’s bf because there are some fittings and designings happening. I know you don’t like AM but I feel like H is really friendly with him and he helped him with lot of queercoding so I take it as a positive thing they will continue with their fashion friendship.
Hi, anon!
You may be right! It will be exciting to see how he'll dress in this new era. So we're all in agreement that H's guc*i deal ended when AM left guc*i? I guess if he goes for Valent*no bc of AM, i'll be a bit surprised, because i was sure he'd go with JW A or S.S. D. I don't have anything against AM, it's the gu*ci i don't like (but AM was Gu*ci for years so i don't know if it's possible to seperate them). I wonder what he'll do at Valen*ino. Val*ntino seems less maximalist and more classic than gu*ci. We'll have to wait and see! Give me something gay!
In Sesame Street, there's not even a mention of Big Bird having biological parents, which is pretty weird since he's meant to be six, and even his grandmother, his closest relative, doesn't live with him, but since Welcome Home premiered a month before S.S. in-universe, I've decided that Poppy is B.B.'s mom, adoptive or otherwise
aww 🥺 forget theories, this is what matters the most
can't sleep, so i'll ramble abt Pikmin 4 :]
SPOILERS. HUUUGE DEMO SPOILERS.
ok there's the warning <3
so...we agree that this is most likely a Canon Divergence from Pikmin 1, yes?
Olimar writes about the Pikmin and Creatures in his Voyage Logs as though he has never met them before, which wouldn't make sense if the 2nd and 3rd game had taken place
also, the whole 'fixing-the-S.S. Dolphin'
he's looking for the ship's parts, just like the 1st game, but, quite obviously, the MOST noticeable differences are: the location of the Interstellar Radio and Olimar's discovery of the new space dog, Moss
and his SOS signal reached the Rescue Corps after month?! if we're going by the same narrative from the first game, his life support must have failed already, assuming Olimar has already spent a few days in the planet, which raises more concerns
i do wonder why Nintendo would take this route?
i love the Demo so far, but there's something bothering me quite a bit...
and it's the whole deal with the "Leafy Individuals"
not even gonna try and sugarcoat it, that is most definitely Olimar, no doubt in my mind; his life support must have failed after the 30 days, he crashed and turned into Olimin/Pikmar- YOU CAN SEE THE S.S. DOLPHIN RIGHT BEHIND YOUR BASE HE IS DEAD
is he trying to "rescue" the Castaways in the best way he sees possible??? whenever you encounter him, the Castaway doesn't seem to be breathing until Moss places them underneath the Onion and they turn into another "Leafy Individual"... are they dead?? it would make more sense, no?? if, unfortunately some of the stranded people die on the planet, then it'd be fair to assume that Olimar knows that the only way to "save them" would be to give them another chance at life by becoming a 'Pikmin'
"those who do not embrace Dandori cannot survive in this planet, but if you grow the leaves you will thrive" THAT IS SUCH AN OLIMAR THING TO SAY
ever since the first game he's had these 'dreams' of being free and becoming closer to the Pikmin but never fully entertained those ideas due to his family (which...i mean yeah, fair enough, i'll leave that rant for another time)
i'm guessing they'll introduce a way to revert this state, essentially "curing" Castaways of the leaves, so will Olimar be "cured" too??
ahem...WHEN WILL I GET TO SEE LOUIE?!
so far, there's a dude who serves as a Treasure Hoard and another one as a Piklopedia, will my boy only contribute with his dishes? will he cause trouble for the Rescue Corps? is he up to mischief? oh, i do hope he is, i'd love for him to have even if just a bit of a spotlight
and the Koppai crew! oh how i miss them so dearly! i know that, if this is an alternate ending to Pikmin 1, then they wouldn't know about the Captain or Louie, but wouldn't it be nice to see them again? yes, yes, very much so!
oh, i have sososo many more things i'd love to talk about!
alas, i suppose i should go to bed, this has been quite the rant!
i would love to hear more about other people's opinions so far on the Demo; did you like it? would you change something? tell me your own theories and predictions! please do!
that's all from me for now, goodnight <3
#pikmin#pikmin 4#pikmin 4 spoilers#pikmin 4 demo#pikmin 4 demo spoilers#text post#aaa so many thoughts#i know not many people will see this but i just had to write this down!#i love pikmin so dearly#i'd like to write more about it#:]
name: calla arundhati day age: 32 gender: cis female dob: sept 25, 2954 sign: libra species: human sexuality: pansexual occupation: mechanic on the s.s stonehenge alignment: chaotic neutral mbti: estp
biography
calla lived on earth with what colonies were left and was in the care of her uncle and his wife since infancy while earth was ravaged between war, solar flares and all types of collapse. she never knew a beautiful green horizon or a blue ocean. but she hoped of one. they all did. without having to take it. but to hopefully be welcomed as refugees.
all her life she was tasked with a job for this future mission. learn basic mechanic skills and go from there to be able to keep the spaceship they were perfecting in top shape on their journey out of there. they called it the S.S STONEHENGE. a name to remind them of ancient history and wonders to discover and explore.
when calla was 29 the time finally came and preparations were complete for takeoff. the group of them off into the stars. they sailed for a couple of years with nothing (but it was to be expected).
until reports of black holes appearing started to arise. a scientist on board had a wild theory he wanted to study and test. perhaps if his theory were true then they could use the blackhole as a portal and end up somewhere far beyond their ship could take them in their lifetime. planets and places that could house them. they'd be able to take everyone off earth and somewhere brand new.
what else did they have to lose?
but oh was he wrong. the blackhole was basically like dangling raw chicken in front of a hoard of alligators. weeping angels were here. not that they had any idea as to what those were. waiting for anything or anyone who dared have flown too close. on purpose or by accident. in or out of there.
and they had gotten just about everyone. one by one while calla managed to send out a distress signal. could she be saved?
Attempts to pick Carlos up in something like a bridal carry but her legs are trembling . . . She is hanging on by a thread . . .
Legend has it, Annie's got something to prove about her strength. Maybe it finally got to her. Mercenaries ruthlessly rib each other as a love language. And a hate language. To find the line, it takes being in their culture. UBCS is a perfectly perserved ecosystem of it: Tragedy-hewn humans from all over the globe, suffering living instead of dying and tethered in unchosen brotherhood. They must have pushed her with their talk. That's Carlos' working theory, anyway.
This body — bulked by Umbrella's checks and regiment — is cumbersome enough. It doesn't help that he's wearing 40lbs of emergency gear, squirreled away in his vest.
She becomes unsteady, and Carlos deadweights.
"A corporal goes down with his ship," nobly says he, saluting haphazardly with the arm not wrapped around her shoulders — leaning, of course, in opposition to her efforts to keep him upright. "Been a blast, S.S. Annie."
#lasraichean#have you ever seen that meme of that woman in a soap opera throwing herself into a curtain to dramatically choke herself out#that's carlos. if you finger guns him#he will ' die '#we both goin down comrade
With what little of what we saw of The Rooster Miraculous, we all assumed it’s power would be healing (to me at least) cuz when you’re feelin’ weak, you’d eat chicken soup and such, but Surprise! Surprise! It’s power is actually “whatever you want it to be”! Still not sure if this was a last minute entry on the writers part for it or if this was planned ahead, but I don’t know how this fits with the rooster!? The rooster represents pride, honesty, watchfulness and flamboyance. The power is still cool though, a free-will wish fulfillment for anyone with what they need like how Marc used it to help win the soccer/football game by wishing to “score every time he got the ball”! (“Penalteam”). Wait a minute! It grants you the power to have any power you want! ANY power you want! Sure Gabe/Monarch found out there were limitations to it (“Destruction”), but what if someone smarter were to use it for their advantage! Don! Don! Don! Let’s see:
*Pretention-So the captain of the Anti-Adrienette ship, Gabe, is not happy that his son is dating a “bakers daughter” cuz he and Tomoe promised that their children would end up together (“Protection”) and Gabe tried c*ckblocking (“Adoration”) and also how it’s interfering with their plans like how Marinette snuck into the Diamond Ball (“Emotion”). Maybe if he just talked to Marinette and get to know her better, he’d stop trying to shoot cannons at her ship! Marinette does idolize Gabe as she too wants to go into fashion, so that’s a good thing. He did like her hat design for Adrien to model at the fashion show (“Queen’s Battle Part 1:Style Queen”) and preferred her as Ladybug for Clara’s music video (“Frightningale”). With that, I’m sure he’ll be on board right?……riiiiiiiiiight? (awkward pause)
As for Gabes co-captain, Tomoe, she says she doesn’t need to control Kagami cuz she’s “obedient” enough even with a certain ring she wears. Kagami tries to tell her mother to stop resurfacing the Adrigami ship and before she could say anything else, Argos swoops in and kidnaps her……why!? Tomoe gets upset by this and is akumatized as Ikari Matagi Gozen! Which is basically her signature akumatized form except in this case, her car is transformed as a mechanical steed and she has a bow and arrow too. She’s also given The Rooster Miraculous power. Oh sh*t! She’s way smarter than Gabe! What power did she wish to have!? Super Smell!? Tbh, I thought it was dumb at first cuz with her blindness, her other senses are enhanced since she could hear (over the phone!) Gabe’s abnormal heartbeat (“Intuition”), so why would she use that power!? Even when akumatized you have no disabilities, so yeah, you get where I’m gettin’ at. Turns out, it was actually for her steed to track down Argos instead. Okay, yeah, that makes sense. Too bad it wasn’t much help cuz he figured a way around it. Eh.
The ship-to-ship combat battle rages on and here’s how it went down. With both ships anchored, a parley was established between Marinette and Gabe. Sadly, Adrien couldn’t be there to witness it as Gabe “ordered” him to stay away and that’s when Adrien noticed a strange feeling of this command (whispers) sentimonster. Anyway, they talked about the fashion industry and it’s here we see their differing view points on it. For Marinette, she creates to inspire and spread joy with everyone’s interests, but with Gabe, he creates to influence people into thinking his way is the “right” way and to follow suit. Conformist much!? That’s like manipulation! Course he’d know about that! He even tries to persuade Marinette he can give her her dream job if she just jumps ship! Marinette refuses to believe his bullsh*t theory, continues to sail on the S.S Adrienette and tells him that he and his pancakes can go f*ck themselves! 👏👏👏(cheers and applause with whistles). Pro:Badass gutsy move on her part for not surrendering, Con:She made things worse cuz that made Gabe wanna send Adrien to London! Don! Don! Don! Saw how that turned out *cough*Spoilers!*cough*. The thing that really got people talking was the start of the whole Feligami ship! Yes! That’s a ship! You’d think this show would “Pair the Spares” and have Adrienettes exes hook-up, but nope! It’s the identical cousin that gets a love interest with the ex instead! Turns out, Felix/Argos was serious about his moments with Kagami at the Diamond Dance and genuinely did like her to the point of kidnapping her. You guys think this is “cute!?” The whole ship thing here, you think this is “cute!?” We have Felix Fathom here, a guy who keeps masquerading as Adrien, at one point, to make him look bad, pick picking people and more importantly, stealing nearly all the miraculouses and giving them to the bad guy making him stronger than ever and not feeling any remorse for it whatsoever is allowed to have a love interest all cuz we’re supposed be boo-hooey about him and his dark past!? What was the message!? Love redeems!? You do realize he only likes Kagami cuz their “similar” in something (whispers) sentimon-(gets interrupted by someone) I’ve just been informed that it’s considered a slur, so the more “politically correct” term is sentibeings! And that she only likes him cuz he looks like Adrien only more bolder and assertive! Oh yeah! That’s a cute ship! He said they have things in common too. What!? She too likes magic tricks!? He’s been stalking her too! Oh great! Now I’m being hypocritical cuz that’s how Adrienette started! (groans and mutters under breath) AretherenostableshipsinthisHudson Riverofashipshow!? You’d think that a teen prodigy like Felix, who was Englands youngest graduate, would’ve known better than to resort to kidnapping to win someone over (even for safety from an abusive parent), but like all rich kids in this show, they are lost like a rat in a maze when it comes to social norms! Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! (sighs) Again, Felix is an Anti-Villain, he does good, but with not so good intentions! He was just trying to save Kagami from her mothers control cuz as it turns out, he understands the feeling cuz he’s father was an a**hole too! We’re just figuring this out now!? They couldn’t have told us about this in his debut ep. (“Felix”) when he was b*tching to Adrien about not attending his fathers funeral and being upset about it!? If his dad was such an a**hole shouldn’t he have been partying like it’s 1999 cuz he’ll be outta his life and no longer bother him and his mom!? WTF writers!? If you think this relationship started off poorly, it gets worse! Ladynoir approves of it! You sure Ladybug!? The same guy that sexually harassed you, stole from you causing you all sorts of problems, hid from you and kicked your ass calling you a control freak and you’re just cool with this new ship sailing on the high seas!?…….well…….O.K. The only good qualities to this is he continued to let Kagami have her freedom by giving her mother a fake family ring and giving Kagami the real one.
