While I have a love/hate relationship with this fandom (as I'm sure most people do at this point) I gotta say, seeing the general opinion of each character shift drastically is really funny. We went from most fans being like "Brambleclaw should've been named Brambleflower because he is a nice soft dad who should have been honored for his mother, not his father, and he's such a proud papa who loves his babies to death and loves his small wife" to "Can Bramblestar fucking die already"

Okay, so, just so you all know, I'm aware of what many of you have probably been thinking in regards to the Great God Airplane AU: "Yes yes, blah blah Shen Jiu blah blah Bingge, WHERE IS THE MOSHANG, IT'S AN AU CENTERED AROUND SHANG QINGHUA, WHERE'S THE MOSHANG??!"

Thank-you for waiting patiently instead of saying this part out loud, because up until this point Moshang has mostly been doing the literary equivalent of sitting in a corner of my head with head pats and juice boxes being just the goodest boys whom I love so so much, you know?

Here's the Moshang:

It's a few days after the conference where Shang Qinghua got outed as Airplane Shangdi, and that's exactly how long it took Shen Yuan to get used to the idea and go back to treating him like normal (because he's read too much of SQH's terrible porn to ever truly take him seriously for an extended period of time). Which, as it happens, on this day includes razzing Airplane for the fact that, after everything that's happened, his sex scenes still have 'written by a virgin' slathered all over them.

To which our favorite divine hamster, newly imbued with some actual, legit self-confidence and tired of being razzed for this, snaps back that yeah, so he's a virgin, so what, he's been literally too busy his entire time as Shang Qinghua to get around to finding someone to do something about that with! Besides, Mobei-jun's also a virgin, and no one gives him shit about it!

Shen Yuan: ...like hell he is, you're telling him a guy like that's never had sex!

Shang Qinghua: Yes I am! (arms folded and nose in the air) He's the sort who's only interested in doing stuff like that with someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with and he doesn't have any love interests because I didn't write any for him, because I wrote Mobei-jun for one person and that's me! He is my perfect man, no one else's, and we're both virgins, and I'm God, so there! And if you have anything else to say about it, I'll- I dunno. I'll have Precious Blossom shrink Binghe's dick or something!

Our favorite hamster then gets to choke on his own spit, spin around on his cushion (half falling over in the process), and gape at the portal he hadn't noticed Luo Binghe and Mobei-jun just use to sneak into Shen Qingqiu's house.

There is silence for a moment before - in the most daring display of disloyalty he's ever made - Mobei-jun calmly pushes Binghe out of the way, ignores his indignant 'I am your emperor how very dare you-!' squawks, picks up Shang Qinghua by the back of the robes, and walks back through the portal with him.

Shen Yuan: Well that just happened.

Binghe: Husband, what did Shang shibo mean about not having written any love interests for Mobei? What does his writing have to do with that?

Shen Yuan: ...I don't have enough tea and snacks for this.

I am a simple woman.

If I see SVSSS content, I will like, I will follow, and I will open another tab to read every fanfiction recommendation. (Even though I shouldn't with my 64 open tabs right now. 27 of which are ongoing ff as I patiently wait for more chapters to be released.)

That's not all though.

I'm considering getting back into writing some fanfiction for my current addiction. I have a few ideas, but I would love to hear your favorite ship, crackship, headcanons and so forth!

I'm heavily debating on a few fic ideas:

SY and SJ shenanigans : Disciples? Estranged Siblings? (LBH Sobbing in the bg)

SY as a rogue cultivator, successfully avoiding LBH for most of the plot. (Switch between LBH and SY pov?)

Modern SVSSS, College!! (SJ the prettiest and pettiest of college professors, he doesn't get paid enough for this. Why is his student flirting with him? Why is his student flirting with his brother? SJ might consider homicide as justifiable.)

Modern SVSSS, SY and SQH wake up from their strange dream. Find out Cucumber and Airplane know each other in rl. Ensue chaotic best friend behavior. (In the bg cue, MBJ and LBH handling this with nothing but poise and grace. I'm lying. They're doing the exact opposite. Don't worry, I'm not a monster. LBH and MBJ find their wives, eventually, probably.)

Modern Cultivators! SY and SJ didn't think they would ever run into an actual demon, demons are rare these days. They often face ghosts and spirits. Cue SY accidently waking up a good old Blackened/Sealed Lou Bing-ge. Cue (dun dun duhhh) chaos.

Demon SY? Cultivator SY? Dunno yet, SY in the Abyss. (I read an unfinished fic about SY in the abyss, and I'm obsessed with the idea of SY just absolutely trying to get LBG to speedrun the Abyss, and LBG deciding "Nuh. I'm staying here, with you". I was also considering entire Abyss ancient civilizations because I'm unhinged, and the idea of what used to be sprawling demonic kingdoms in the abyss is beautiful.)

Have you ever accidently married the emperor of the 3 realms? SY did. Now, SJ has to ask YQ for help to save his brother. (Subsequently: You ever accidently end up with a husband? LBG was surprised, too, but he has a system, a way these things work. Just because SY is a man doesn't change anything. LBH now has to make sure his frail husband doesn't die and doesn't get kidnapped by pesky cultivators.) Three povs???? SJ (trying to save his brother and getting pettier by the minute), LBG (thwarting SJ's plans, spying on his husband, general court affiar), SY (fangirling over everything, getting himself into trouble, falling into every wife plot under the sun).

These are just some ideas, some of my favorites that I've been clinging to. Free game, take em, write em if you want. The more fanfiction and content we have, the better!

I've rambled. Oh god. Lemme know your favorite, I'll probably boost it to the front of my list.

Looking at your fandoms, I can’t help but think some sort of Bingqiu in Spy X Family (or a SxF Xianxia fusion) could be super fun!

The question is… what would their roles be.

Assassin Luo Binghe, or spy Luo Binghe… and which of them gets gender swapped. 🤔

Oh!! Maybe Shen Yuan was meant to be an ally of the female half of the main duo, Liu Mingyan, but through shenanigans he somehow ends up with her role instead, and the System demands he fake marry Binghe anyway. 😂

This is exactly the kind of prompt i was hoping for! TY!!! 🙏

The way i see it Binghe would definitely be the assassin, Shen Yuan is too big of a softie not to mention one who so easily put on the mask of another man before so he would definitely be the spy.

But also being oblivious to feelings yet a capable badass, bad in the kitchen, feeling inadequate as a partner? All Shen Yuan. Binghe with his protagonist Halo meanwhile would fit better with Mr. All around perfect Husband. So i guess it'd be a little like Yor and Loyd had switched professions.

Shen Yuan's over protective brother in a position of power? I wonder who that would be? Enter Shen Jiu haha. Rather than secret police he'd be a detective looking in to all the murders rather than keeping state secrets from spies though. To keep that rivalry between him Binghe. The family member Binghe became an assassin to provide for? His mom. The gardener AKA the guy who hired him and hands him his missions? Meng Mo. Franky,the spy's funny informant and gadget supplier, occasional babysitter and not to mention bestfriend? Shang Qinghua.

I dont know if i should replace Fiona with Liu Quinge as Fiona's character really would fit Binghe better. But Liushen is a weakness of mine even if onesided and those two were just made for coworker romances. Maybe I should give Binge someone trying to woe him too? Sha hualing? Then if i dont go with your other idea of having SY transmigrate in to Liu Mingyan (which i am saving up in my head because i absolutely love the idea) then i can add something in the background with her and Sha hualing. I'm positive i could find a way to write in Mobei for SQH or i could go with Scumplane and have him end up Shen Jiu and actually yeah that would work, need to distract SJ long enough for Bingyuan to get it on afterall. Oh what about SQH x SJ x LQG? Or should Shen Yuan get a second husbandafterall? Alternatively imagine LQG crying over a bowl of icecream.

Next question is if SY didnt transmigrate into LMY then who is he? What about Ning Yingying? Who could be SJ's little sister in this world? Or he couldve just been put in there as a female version of himself. Or like it was with Shen quingiu a character who vaguely resembles him and has a similar name. She just happens to be a woman though. Or maybe go with the mulan aproach and have him crossdress? But then how does he explain to his brother that he's suddenly - he could say that he's in love with binghe and the only way to marry him was fake his papers to pretend to be a woman since queer marriage isnt yet allowed in their fictional country. Like no one cares if they date its just they havent gotten to the legalisation of marriage yet. And if SJ asks why they had to get married so suddenly anyway (cuz no way in hell is SY getting away with saying he forgot to tell him for a year) he could say that they had to so they could adopt their daughter. Who in this case scenario could be Ning Yingying, should she still have Anyas powers? damian could be Ming fan or the little palace girl or whatever (im not yet far enough in the books to now her and the old man that well so id have to check the wiki) and i could make the palace master donovan desmond and have SY and LBH team up to take him down in the end.

Anyways yeah these are just some ideas, and again thanks for the prompt! I can't wait to write this! Maybe i'll draw something for it later too. ❤️

Day 16: [Public] / M̷e̷d̷i̷c̷a̷l̷ ̷P̷l̷a̷y / B̷o̷d̷y̷ ̷S̷w̷a̷p

Airplane forgot about demon traditions he created and is surprised when told minutes before his wedding that they have a public consumption to do before being allowed to leave for their room.

Saying that Shang Qinghua was nervous about this wedding would be an understatement. He would never have expected to /actually/ marry Mobei-jun nor for the demon to want marriage with him.

He knew many elders weren’t agreeing since for the demon world sqh was nearly a nobody that the northern king somehow kept around precious (he was still a peak lord!!). He was nervous but really happy and that was important. Although he had some questions... 

Why was his wedding robe seemingly so sheer. Sure, there were enough layers that one couldn’t see him well and he would even be wearing a furred cloak (as if mbj would let him freeze).

And what with all the jewellery he was wearing /underneath/ that? Body jewellery on his upper body, attached to his neck with a pretty collar. He even had some at his hips, going down to attach around his tights.

Not to forget the wrists and ankles bracelet of course. It was an odd feeling, to say the least. 

“Our king was the one to pick them for you,” one of the maids said as sqh kept on touching them, “it is tradition for the groom to choose jewellery for their spouse”.

“The prettier and the more one chooses, the more love they have for their spouse” a younger maid on the side giggle, “At least, as the tradition has grown with time, it is important to show your love for your spouse when comes time to show everyone”.

Sqh frowned a bit at that, letting the older demon finish up his hair with a hairpin he knew mbj must have taken time to choose for him (it looked really great).

“When comes time to show everyone?” he asks when she was done with his hair, already pushing him out of the room since they were already tight on schedules. 

“For the public consumption of the union of course” giggled the younger maid.

This fried sqh a moment, still being pushed towards the great hall where everyone was waiting. Had he written such a thing!? For demon weddings to have a public display of their first time having sex after marriage.

He didn’t have time to ask about it, as he was already pushed to the end of the aisle he would need to walk up to, looking up to have his eyes lock with mbj.

The demon had looked nervous, yet upon seeing him he clearly relaxed and sqh was sure he could even see a slight smile on his face.

He walked up to where mbj was standing, trying not to focus on the demon who were all sitting and standing really close to him. He was a bit flustered at the idea that anyone could see the jewellery under his sheer robes already.

The whole ceremony went by really quickly, too quickly even. He felt like they did it more out of tradition than because anyone wanted to hear the speech and other little things that must be done and said. Everyone was simply waiting for the exciting part.

Sqh couldn’t stop his hand to grab mbj wrist, stopping him after he had taken off his cloak. Mbj was a bit surprised but saw how nervous his spou- no, husband, seemed to be.

He bent down a bit more, gently kissing his neck. “You are nervous” he points out, hands instead gently caressing his side through the clothing.

“I didn’t know about this part” sqh whispers with a slight chuckle, “I would have been a bit more mentally prepared if I had known more in advance” he admits, finally letting go of his husband's wrist, looking back at him, “We already did some pretty adventurous thing before, I don’t think this will be too hard”.

After some time sqh is finally stripped of all his clothes, no one dare to say a word as they didn’t want mbj’s wrath on them later (they already knew what he could do for this human).

But everyone seemed impressed by the display, sqh a bit shy to have so many people looking at him like this. 

“I knew you would look great in these” mbj said, fingers brushing on the chains around him. “my king has great eyes after all” sqh replied.

Some would say they were going slowly with mbj’s teasing him more than getting right to it, but some who knew the both of them a bit more (aka Sha Hualing and Luo Binghe who accepted to come) knew he was just trying to put his husband at ease.

But soon it did start being a bit more interesting, as sqh started having difficulty keeping moans in as mbj was fingering him skilfully, bringing them down on the bed of cushion that was prepared for them, his legs starting to give up under him. “Why do I feel so hot suddenly?” he asks, the chilling air suddenly not much of a problem anymore.

“I picked something that would make you feel good” mbj replied, sqh looking back at the bottle of ointment he had been using as lube. He did not expect mbj to pick some aphrodisiac, but he was not against it either, especially when he felt so good.

But after a while sqh felt weird to be the only one to feel pleasure, so he turned around, opening suddenly mbj robes to take them away.

This did gain some reaction, sqh blushing more when he even heard some teasing “What a little eager and impatient bride, ripping away his husband’s robes”.

His hand were quick to find mbj’s already hard dick, stroking it. He was pleased to see his expression change a bit, his breath less controlled than before. “Shang Qinghua” mbj said, only for his little human to continue more excitedly, kissing his neck as best he could.

The mutual teasing was thrown away when sqh dared to start to suck and nibble at his nipples (which is something they both learn recently he liked too) in front of everyone else, which was starting to make mbj lose his usual controlled expression.

Sqh was flipped around, facing the crowd with his whole arousal on display for everyone, but right now he couldn’t really care about them when he could feel mbj against him, grinding against his ass. He didn’t manage to quiet down his moan when mbj finally trusted into him deeply.

Sqh looped an arm behind mbj’s neck, bringing him even closer than his husband was already doing by having a hand on his chest forcing his back against the demon’s chest.

He enjoys the kissing and biting happening against his neck, slowly forgetting everyone else was there. Honestly, it would only show that mbj was his now and no one else could come close to him.

Mbj was relentless, fucking into him harder as the aphrodisiac was also starting to affect him. He wanted to mark sqh in front of everyone, showing everyone what was his.

He was thankful that sqh seemed to only love him and never fell into their trap.

But soon they both were forgetting that they were indeed in front of everyone, everything being hard but still loving, mbj never doing anything that would truly hurt sqh in a way he knew the human would hate.

The second time sqh came he was feeling himself going boneless against mbj, feeling sensitive after being fucked through TWO orgasms. But he was happy to feel mbj come into him, filling him up with his seed, marking him some more.

They were finally done here, sqh was starting to be exhausted after the public consumption, especially after being nervous and stressed for the past few days about this wedding.

He felt empty when mbj moved out of him to put on a random inner robe, but didn’t complain as a warm robe was wrapped around him, feeling sleepy in mbj strong arms when he picked him up.

They walked back up the aisle, mbj receiving praises and congratulations for their wedding. Sqh didn't register most of it, only gently kissing mbj exposed chest when he felt more than heard him growl at someone who tried to reach for sqh.

He was taken back to their room, mbj put him in the bed, taking away their robes. Sqh wasn’t energic enough anymore to really do more. The last couple of days had been a bit stressful.

He felt a warm blanket being pulled over him then strong arms pulling him back against mbj. He hummed happily against his husband, nuzzling against his neck.

“Sorry for not telling you about the order of events” mbj whispered against the top of his head, “I thought Shang Qinghua already knew”.

Sqh only sleepily chuckled at this, kissing against his throat. “It’s okay, I am happy and married to the man I love,” he said before falling asleep against him.

I am absolutely floored by the fact Tigerheartstar gets a pass by a large part of the fandom. Having romantic feelings for an apprentice while being a young warrior? For Dustpelt it’s bad, but if it’s Tigerheart then it’s fine, I guess. Holding an apprentice hostage after manipulating her sister? Perfectly sure that one’s entirely Tigerheart. Stealing the spotlight and potential character arc from your mother? It’s an unforgivable thing when it’s Nightheart, but it’s perfectly fine if it’s Tigerheart. He couldn’t wait a single day for the Sisters to leave, and his actions contributed to Leafpool’s death. It’s so tiring that suddenly Tigerheartstar is treated as this cool guy just because he cares about his wife.

He is one of the few warriors examples of a truly morally grey character but just because he’s a good dad and currently treats his wife well everyone just seems to forget all the horrible things he’s done? He’s no clear sky but he certainly isn’t a saint either.

It frustrates me because he’s infinitely more interesting when you embrace who he is rather than trying to defend what he does. There’s a reason he’s currently an antagonist in this current arc, just like how he was an antagonist in SqH, and Raging Storm. The Erins do seem to have a better grasp of who he is as a character than a significant portion of the fanbase do which is pretty shocking considering this is warrior cats we’re talking about.

I don’t care if people like him, he’s personally not for me but he’s a very, very interesting and, for warrior cats, well written character so I can absolutely see why he has his fans. But it does bother me how most of his fans only seem to see him as a good husband and dad character and that’s it, I rarely see discussion about anything else he’s done, but I also never see discussion about the way he dated his current wife while she was an apprentice and he was a warrior the whole time she was an apprentice, despite a lot of the love around him being for the relationship with Dovewing (tbh that’s probably why people don’t discuss it, they don’t want to have one of their favourite ships ruined)

Fan favourite Leafpool is dead because of him and he also threatened to kill new fan favourite Alderheart? Where’s the discussion about that?

I just find it frustrating that in the fandom’s eyes this really well written character in a position of power who is honestly a pretty shitty guy is being reduced to “wife guy”, while simultaneously not acknowledging the full extent of his relationship with his wife. Dating a minor aside (seriously why does this get a pass from the fandom) there’s other reasons she broke up with him the first time.

I've held off due to the general strike but now here's the tumblr preview for the final chapter of HSY! (Yes, last chapter because I thought this concluded the story better than what I had originally planned.) This chapter is under 7k words, so the next update will be the full chapter.

Don’t get him wrong; he was happy to be married and that Binghe was happy and in love with him and… he really wanted to sleep. 

He had rallied for their wedding night, anxious over his own appearance and wanting Binghe for himself in any case. But the night was certainly abbreviated by his own limitations. While Luo Binghe did his best to pamper and care for him, nothing he could have done would help Shen Qingqiu. 

And thus he did his best to hide it from him. 

While he missed his husbands, Shen Qingqiu slept like a rock the night before in Shang Qinghua’s preparation chambers, not even aware of Bingdi attempting to talk to him if he had tried. Somehow, the exhaustion was decreased but still there as Shen Qingqiu carefully painted Mobei-Jun’s huadian on Shang Qinghua’s forehead in wedding red, though he had charmed this particular blend to turn to blue with spiritual energy. 

“Bro, you good?” Shang Qinghua asked, tone subdued.

“Yes, why do you ask?”

“Well, you’re quiet. And you haven’t even attempted to insult me in like twenty-four hours. I’m kinda worried about you?”

Shen Qingqiu paused in his careful work and looked at his friend. Shang Qinghua was chewing at his lip (thankfully only the inner part because if he had stained his teeth red so help him…!!!) and wringing his hands. His friend really was concerned when Shen Qingqiu was the last thing Shang Qinghua should be thinking about.

He sighed and cut his eyes to the side of the room where an imperial guard was standing sentry. “I’ve had a tiring few days,” he said.

SQQ: bro I’m 2 months pregnant. I’m tired and trying not to act like it.

SQH: ooooohhhhh my bad

SQQ: don’t worry about it

“If you say so,” Shang Qinghua said aloud. “Do you think everything is well out there?”

“I do. I also think it doesn’t matter if there’s a hiccup because Mobei-Jun is marrying you no matter what today. You’ve both waited long enough.”

“Haha, yeah. I guess we have.” Shang Qinghua looked off to the side and that made Shen Qingqiu hesitate in returning to their preparations.

They were running out of time for this, but they would wait for the bride. Not sure how long, in Mobei-Jun’s case, but everyone else would sit tight.

“You okay?”

“Yes! I’m very happy! Just…” Shang Qinghua sighed. “You know, before? I never thought I would get married and now I’m. I’m lucky my King loves me so.”

“Are you worried he’s going to change his mind with the Original?” Shen Qingqiu asked in English, getting to the point.

“No, but I worry that he should, you know?” Shang Qinghua responded. “He’s been hurt, so hurt, but understanding. We’ve been talking as much as he can stand, really. I’m doing my best to reassure him, but the reality won’t ever not be the truth. I’m marrying another version of him and it’s not like my arm is being twisted, is it? I just think he deserves better, but he chooses me and I’m so grateful that he does.”

“I get it,” Shen Qingqiu reassured him, because fuck, how could he not. “But guilt is useless and you both made your choices. Don’t let your guilt get in the way of your happiness, especially not when it compromises his happiness as well.”

Shang Qinghua narrowed his eyes at him. “And where was this attitude, oh, a year ago?”

Shen Qingqiu sighed, “Mu-shidi works hard. Once I was able to be completely honest with him, that was pretty much the first thing he told me. I’m working on believing that myself, but just because it’s difficult doesn’t make it true.”

His friend stared for a minute then gave a long, low whistle. “I know he doesn’t get paid like elsewhere, but give that man a raise.”

“He does deserve a sabbatical.”

“Not like he’ll take it for like. A while.” Shang Qinghua flicked his eyes down to Shen Qingqiu’s stomach and back up. Shen Qingqiu had no response but to sigh and finish touching up the makeup. “Hey, do you think he takes couples?” 

“I think he would need to start prescribing himself if he did,” Shen Qingqiu said dryly and Shang Qinghua couldn’t help laughing. “Don’t move, dumbass.”

“Gods, can you imagine? He has his hands full with you. I think a peek into your husband’s mind would have the man running away screaming.”

“He’s not an actual psychologist, you know,” Shen Qingqiu said, not denying the idea. It was a miracle that either Luo Binghe was functional and relatively sane. “I was kinda taken on by necessity.”

“Necessity, he says. Bro, we’re remembering things differently.”

“Whatever. Stop deflecting and stay still so I can put this veil on you.”

when they've been together long enough and are already very comfortable with each other, MBJ just busts out his goofy side whenever he thinks no one is looking except SQH and just does stuff that surprises SQH like smiling, winking, poking his tongue out at him, making subtle funny faces like going crossed-eyed and scrunching his face at SQH (cutely, with his brows drawn and his nose scrunched up).

MBJ succeeds every time in catching SQH off guard. SQH can't believe his eyes but his King definitely winked at him right?? he definitely did!! 

once, SQH confronted MBJ about it and he expected his King to deny it but instead, MBJ just outright admits it. SQH is confused?? wtf??? but MBJ just says, voice low and face suddenly serious, "no one will believe you"

SQH: are you making fun of me my King? MBJ: not at all, Qinghua *smiles* SQH: ohmygod you are!! you— MBJ: Qinghua, the meeting is about to start

SQH just narrows his eyes at him before turning away completely missing MBJ smothering a smile on his palm. it's so fun to tease SQH. it’s quickly becoming one of MBJ’s favorite things to do.

the last straw is when SQH caught MBJ reading one of his manuscripts, an attempt at humor, and he catches MBJ in the middle of a laugh. a soft huff followed by a low rumbling chuckle. he couldn’t even properly appreciate the visuals of his King laughing before an indignant sounds comes out of him on instinct.

MBJ's face straightens immediately when he hears SQH squawk and call him out. 

SQH: but I saw you my King! i heard you! i saw you! you were laughing at my story! wow does that mean i'm funny? wait, of course i am! i made you laugh! MBJ: and what is Qinghua going to do about it? SQH: you're so—i just—i...this one will—

SQH doesn't know. he didn't think this far ahead. but MBJ is staring at him with eyes shining with amusement and lips upturned at the corners in a smile and—

oh god, he's already so handsome in his resting murderface of course he's going to be unspeakably gorgeous when he smiles.

MBJ: well, Qinghua?

and oh he really is so fucking hot when he taunts SQH like this it's so unfair!!!

SQH: this husband is—this one is gonna— MBJ: what, Qinghua? this King is waiting SQH: this!

SQH kisses MBJ deep and revels in the way the smile drops off MBJ's lips in shock. but it was short-lived as SQH feels his husband grinning against his lips once again and drawing him into one of the filthiest kiss they've shared to date.

at this point, SQH doesn't even know what he got so worked up about. all he knows now is that he's being kissed within an inch of his life and it is glorious. 

when they finally part, SQH is sobered by the soft smile still on MBJ's lips, small and unnoticeable to anyone but SQH as it is.

SQH: my King, do you know? you look the most beautiful when you smile and just downright breathtaking when you laugh. allow this humble one the honor of making you smile and laugh all the time. for the rest of our lives, ah? MBJ: Qinghua, you fool. this King could only find a reason to smile and laugh because of you. you are the only one that evokes such joy in this King.

SQH is struck. they’ve been together for a long time and married for almost half of it but fuck! what the fuck! SQH is always still at a loss for words when MBJ gets like this. what the fuck is he even supposed to say to that?! my King! please be careful of your words! this husband is but a weak man, ah!

Vod Notes: I’m not normally one for modern AU’s, but there’s just something about aspiring CEO MBJ and flat out broke SQH somehow wiggling his way into his heart that gets to me. The characterizations in this story are flawless, and the customary Moshang miscommunication/misunderstanding had me tearing out my hair at several points, yelling at these two dumbasses; and that’s how you know it’s a good one. 9/10 because I experienced lots of stress while reading this, which actually is a sign of a fantastic story, I’m just really weak and pathetic and immerse myself in reading way too much, so actually 11/10! Depends on how you look at it I suppose lol

They are warm, soft, clueless idiots in this while still somehow being entirely competent, and we love to see that. SQH is a man made of contingency plans <3 I love it when authors do my son justice. 10/10

Vod Notes: A delicious one shot about MBj worrying about the love of his life, who is a strong, dedicated, talented man who has an unfortunate training mishaps and then tries to cover it up bc he’s also dumb and doesn’t want to worry anyone. Stupid man. SQH we love you pls take care of yourself. You’re giving your husband grey hairs. A special treat toward the end with a MQF POV! My sexy doctor man is exasperated and done with everything. 10/10

It’s got everything! Demon!SQH who is a absolute mess of a man? Serious cultivator MBJ who is stoic and cold but has the heart of a hero (or just a heart hardwired for SQH specifically)? Espionage? Feed it to me slowly like grapes. 11/10

Summary: Shang Qinghua wakes up in the aftermath of Tianlang-Jun's rampage on Cang Qiong Mountain and has to navigate the delicate political situation he now finds himself in. Luo Binghe is building a harem with Shen Qingqiu as his first, and honestly most terrifying, husband. Yet, Luo Binghe seems to be turning his eyes to Shang Qinghua as a possibility as well. Excuse you? What is this? He didn't sign up for this!

Vod Notes: holy fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck this one blew my entire mind! Not only do we have SQH looking out for number one (which is himself, bless you my son) when shit turns strictly bad, but we have a absolutely, one of a kind, PHENOMENAL badass SQQ who is supporting his bro and fucking shit up left and right and everywhere for Airplane’s sake. God. This was like drinking fine wine. Breathtaking, spectacular. My life has been changed. MBJ spends most of this being a big, sulky, upset mess but don’t worry, cucumberplane fixes that up themselves. LBH get’s put in time out by both his husbands (because this is LBH/SQQ/LQG), because he fucks up in this majorly and SQQ isn’t fucking happy and doesn’t let him get away with it just because he gives him the puppy eyes and I AM LIVINGGGGGGGGG!! TLDR: simply superb badass cucumberplane, sad boy MBJ hours, and LQG gets stuck with babysit the naughty demon king duty. VERDICT: umm?! 7000/10

Summary: Shang Qinghua is now well on his way to the same happily-ever-after that every protagonist gets, but two things stand in his way. The Queen's Trials, and a council that just won't give up. Too bad for them, they really don't know who they're dealing with.

Vod Notes: Sorry I can’t hear any of your questions over the loud, shrill screams of my absolute LOVE for this story. it’s not finished, no, but it’s set up in arcs per chapter, so I’m fine with waiting for the next one to come along, and so will you if you read this. Because, lemme tell you. Fucking amazing. An SQH who knows everything about the North? He’s God, dammit, why wouldn’t he? Using that to his advantage? Hi! :) I was reading your post about SQH in TUT and it got me thinking. Since this version also wrote SVSSS, when he transmigrates does he realize his "dream" was real? Also, you hinted that he recognizes SY as the same person who transmigrated into SQQ, so now I'm wondering if he tells SY that, and how SY would react to learning he's the protagonist of SVSSS in another universe. I just love thinking about how meta this could potentially get, haha.

(TUT ch1 - Excerpt)

You’re right. There is a lot of meta potential with older!Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky being the MXTX equivalent in this AU—or, rather, I like to imagine him growing up to be the Stephen King equivalent of modern day China with a prolific portfolio of written works (novels and short stories, and extras). In canon, he churned out a great number of words per chapter and in a speedy amount of time! Do you guys know how miraculous that is, as a writer? I envy him so much! To be able to churn out that much content in a short amount of time, and in a scheduled regimen, is amazing! That’s basically my angle having written this into the prologue of TUT. That’s partially the reason why I wrote ch1. I liked the idea of paying homage to SVSSS and saying that it’s an actual book series in TUT universe that Airplane wrote (as funny as the idea would be, I wasn’t about to let SY be the one to write it, lol, for intellectual property reasons since the PIDW characters belong to Airplane, which would necessitate SY changing names and character appearances if he published what we know as irl SVSSS, so the best I can give SY is saying he wrote his own PIDW fanfic which basically launched his novelist career because he’d realized, hey, I actually have a knack for writing and the ever so spiteful I feel like practically every writer has had this thought before: fine, if I don’t see what I want to read, then I’ll write it myself!)

TUT (Meta) Spoilers

I personally love meta. If I’m to be writing a lovestory to SVSSS, there will be attempts at meta thrown into TUT. And this is one of them:

Airplane did “dream” about canon SVSSS. He basically “dreamt” about his favorite black powder fan, Peerless Cucumber

changing events of Airplane’s biggest regret Proud Immortal Demon Way. (As a writer, it embarrasses me to read my old writing. So I imagine it could be the same for Airplane.) As an author, Airplane recognized what he dreamt had potential to be a commercial success as a danmei transmigration story so basically every time he woke up, he would write pieces of what he remembers in a dream journal when the memory was fresh in his brain. It also allowed Airplane the opportunity to show his readers through the perspective of SY! Shen Qingqiu what Airplane had originally wanted to write, but integrated in a way that blends seamlessly into the reading experience. He would’ve thought it was a bit weird and strange that his brain dreamt about his past critic—whom he’d considered a small celebrity in the PIDW forums back then—aka his anti-fan-turned-accomplished-novelist in the writing industry, so he felt embarrassed that his unconscious brain must have thought very highly of the man.

So Airplane omitted any mention of Peerless Cucumber from the final draft of SVSSS (if he mentioned both “Shen Yuan” and “Peerless Cucumber,” then even SY would be like, Hey, wait one moment....). This detail will be included in a later chapter, but did you know the name “Shen Yuan” has come up in other works? Let’s ignore the variations on the Chinese written characters for the name “Shen Yuan.” There was the evil older brother character Shen Yuan from The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, a side character named Shen Yuan from a C-drama (I think he was an old minister?), and there’s even an irl visual artist named Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan (Shen Garden) is also a famous romantic garden in Shaoxing, known for the love story between Lu You and Tang Wan.

Basically “Shen Yuan” in itself is not a particularly uncommon name in China (imo I would not say it’s super popular either). So when SY saw his name mentioned once or twice in Airplane’s SVSSS—aka rebooted PIDW—during his read-through, he was like, Huh, what a strange coincidence. And then dismissed it as circumstantial and thought nothing of seeing his name come up in a cutsleeve novel as the new protagonist, haha. It’s like a book written by Anne Rice; one of the titles coincidentally has the same name as mine. Now, obviously the book and main character is not based or inspired by me; I just coincidentally share the same name. If I see books which have characters with my same first name, generally I like to read them and sometimes even collect them for my bookshelves. Because there’s something just so fun and interesting about seeing your own name in a fictional piece of work.

There’s also meta joke potential about Airplane dreaming of himself being transmigrated into the cannon fodder Shang Qinghua and seeing the romantic miscommunications between the younger version of himself (his self-insert essentially) and the fictional Mobei jūn character. I can certainly say seeing such dreams would make Airplane question his sexuality and awaken something dormant in him, haha. He’d realize he might not be not as straight as he thought he was, if his brain was capable of dreaming of SY!SQQ being crushed on by LBH, and SQH being crushed on by MBJ and essentially following MBJ around calling him “my king” this and “my king” that. He’ll be sweating bullets when he meets this world’s version of MBJ, because Airplane will definitely remember how the younger Self-Insert version of himself acted toward MBJ in the SVSSS world. (It’s the classic “Just because I dreamed about it happening doesn’t mean it’ll happen here, right? ...Right? Cucumber brother, you’re a fortuneteller! Please check our eight characters for me! I have to know my marriage compatibility with Mobei jūn!”)

In a later chapter, there will be the reveal where Airplane tells Shen Yuan that he “dreamt” of a universe where a younger version of Shen Yuan—having choked on mantou (馒头) (paying homage to the donghua) or just being transmigrated in general after raging at a younger ASTTS’s writing (paying homage to the books)—transmigrated into the Shen Qingqiu we know from SVSSS who married Bing mèi. Because I think it will be hilarious when TUT’s SY finds out about the true source of Airplane’s inspiration, and he’ll naturally freak out over the fact that this is the very same Bing gē from Airplane’s Bing-gē vs Bing-mèi extra and that he’s essentially somehow stumbled on the same path as the alternative younger SY!SQQ “from Airplane’s imagination.” I will leave this open to interpretation if this does show up (it’s just an idea I’m playing with) but I might hint that there might be a higher power at play which allowed Airplane a peek into another universe—which manifested as his dreams.

I very much like this dynamic (we might see this exchange, verbatim, in a future chapter in TUT):

SY/ LBH —> He gave him a disdainful gaze.

Airplane cried inwardly at the oppression and the feeling of being wronged.

Haha, none of this is really Airplane’s fault^ though. It’s a fun parallel and if I’m still motivated when we get to the wedding and consummation chapter, we might see an epilogue where SY and Bing gē from TUT meets SY!SQQ and Bing mèi maybe. Because I think it’ll be funny with the two LBHs getting into a shouting/ fighting match about who has the “superior Shen Yuan” while the two SYs just shake their heads at their silly husbands (and potentially TUT’s SY, as the older party, can impart his fortunetelling wisdom and advice to SY!SQQ).

Personally I can’t wait when we get to those chapters, because I know it’ll be entertaining to write, haha. Personally TUT is a fun project because there’s just so much meta potential that can be incorporated and I have a lot of fun imagining the scenarios.

The Novelists’ First Impressions

The first impression SY and Airplane will have of each other will be fun. Because in their perspective, written in my notes it’s essentially like:

(Airplane seeing SY):

His first reaction was shock. Shock because the mere mortal he used to be could not conceive so much charisma being emitted by this guy.

This is definitely a man who had put all of his stats into CHARISMA.

(SY seeing Airplane):

He's suspiciously good looking in ways that normal people are not.

Ah, the Cucumberplane friendship in TUT is going to be so much fun. Not only are these two older souls who transmigrated (both are mid-aged in this universe), they’re both accomplished novelists in their own right in the writing industry. Which means with these two being celestial beings, there’s so many clichés we can playfully poke fun at.

It also makes me laugh because imagine being SY, and seeing a guy (mortal!Airplane) who exudes the same energy as these two imperial princes GIFs:

I dont want to do school work so instead im trying to figure out how to make a SVSSS/TGCF crossover without it being weird/making either canon wrong

So far all i got is that SVSSS took place before the massacre that lead to Jun Wu leading the heavenly capital, and that Ghost City resides somewhere in the demon realm (maybe??) and that LBH is basically HC’s very distant boss/ruler, cause even tho HC is a King, LBH is a heavenly demon and emperor and therefore more op and powerful than HC, he’d just never do anything about HC doing anything cause he doesnt really care and HC is fine with that, he just pays his taxes occasionally and doesn’t think about it

plot wise, i kinda got that since SVSSS took place before the heavenly massacre, i kinda want the CQ peak lords to maybe have ascended and therefore died in that massacre, and only a couple of the svsss characters lived to be in the tgcf crossover. Basically, any character that survived was in the demon realm at the time cause they never ascended (sqq, sqh, im dragging lqh into this too cause im a fan of liubingqiu and hed be the only god who lived cause he was bugging sqq about his fans, and maybe like nyy and lmy cause they married the new harem mistress shl) and they cut off all ties to heaven and it’s new ruler cause even if LBH might have won in a fight against JW, sqq and sqh basically held him (and lqg) back with tears in their eyes after everyone they cared about died cause god everyone they cared about DIED those ppl were OP and DIED you CANT go fight that!!! 

So basically svsss squad cut all ties with heaven and don’t really interact at all with the new gods cause theyre old jaded and bitter about it and are all kinda huddled around lqg cause he’s basically the only survivor and if jw finds out about him being alive and knowing what he did theyre fucked. They go between the demon realm and the mortal one and thats it

SO ACTUALLY PLOT TIME!! HC gets a letter from LBH basically asking him to come to court and bring his little “godly” friend too, and HC is like Ah Fuck I fucked up shit shit i can’t ignore this but i will fight the emperor if he tries anything funny with gege but XL is like lmaoo lets go why not im sure its nothing, so they go to the court and HC is basically giving a crash course of backstory for XL so he knows what hes going into and XL is interested about the fact that theyre all older than JW and know about Before, but HC is like God gege please dont ask them about it its a sensitive topic

they get there, and its a full court, all of LBH’s generals and his two husbands are here and HC and XL kneel and LBH is like “u have a lot of balls bringing in not only a god but That Man’s apprentice into my realm” and HC is sweating but also trying to sweet talk his way out of them needing to go into protective services to not die and the entire time SQQ is squinting at XL over his fan until he cuts HC off like “omg (fake alias) is that you? I haven’t seen you in over 200 years you never let me properly thank you” and is like excitedly chattering at XL who is like ???? ive never met you before but you know a name i used so we must have?? and SQQ is like “LBH this is the man that rescued me that one time 200 years ago! They were planning on sacrificing me to that god of misfortune so it would curse you to fall during that rebellion. (fake alias) swooped in and rescued me and waited with me until i had enough energy to fly back home, I was going to take you back with me for a reward but you disappeared as I was preparing to leave” and XL blue screens cause he just is so bad with faces and names before hes like “Oh!! Shen Yuan!! yes yes i remember now! wow lmao i see youre doing good, oh this must be ur husbands u talked so much about”

Like a flipped switch LBH went from “give me one good reason why i shouldnt kill you were u stand” to “I WILL SHOWER U IN BLESSINGS NAME UR PRICE ULL GET IT FOR SAVING MY SHIZUN!!!” and invites them for dinner and HC is sweating but also just pleased that nothing bad will happen to XL now that he has favor, but LQG is still glowering over the fact that he’s JW’s apprentice but over dinner they talk about what happened and XL is sosososo sorry and shares how he was tricked and abused by JW too and then they both just bond over fighting and swords and even agree to spar one martial god to another and everything just kinda ends up being ok

Time travel aus

I’m, like, so weak for time travel fix-it fics!? For any fandom!? Like, Scum Villan, for example.

Like, imagine SQQ, as he’s living happily with LBH, and they go investigate something in the demon realm and he accidentally steps into an array and-BAM, he’s gone and the last thing he saw was his husband’s terrfied face.

Then he wakes up, and he’s in his bed in the bamboo house at qing jing peak and he’s like, ‘Did LBH bring me here to recuperate?’ So he’s like calling for his husband, and the door opens but it’s MF and ‘Why the heck does he look so young? Last i saw him he was married and with kids?’ and the disciple is terrified at his pale scared face and goes to call YQY while SQQ is having a mental breakdown.

Then in his head just echoes the sound of the google voice he’s hated so much and it just quickly repeats what he heard the first time he transmigrated and SSQ just, loses it.

“System, don’t try to f*uck with me, i dealt with you once, i can do it again.I know you know we went back in time, so quietly enter standby/sleep mode and don’t bother me, or else.” And the system just, weeps and quietly obeys, and sqq continues to panic and begins crying but then-

Then he has a rebelation and is like- ‘Wait a second, if i’m back in time, does this mean....all the misunderstandings, the pain BingHe had to go through...all the times i was an asshole to him.....i can change that?’

And then he’s giddy and excited and just, begins switching between indecisive (because changing the past may change their future and no matter what he usually says he loves his husband) and determined to give his love the best life he can.

He decides to do the latter, fate be damned.

So he chats with YGY and MQF, assures them that he’s okay, and orders MF to call all the disicples and then he goes out and bullshits his way through an explanation of why they had been torturing Binghe like this, making himself look innocent. Like:

‘I was testing you, to see if you had good, righteous hearts that would choose the right path. I know you respect your elders and that you were scared to contradict me in fear of being kicked out, it happens in every sect. But instead of helping your shidi in secret, you kept hurting him to please me, besides NYY here, all of you failed this test that this master set up.’ And the disciples are like , we f*ucked up, then SQQ tells them that if they dslike LBH, it’s okay to ingore him, but hurting a fellow disciple is forbidden.

Of course the same applies to befriending him, if they are insincere, don’t bother. In the end, only NYY goes, and the others are told to cultivate and reflect on their actions. Then SQQ asks where LBH is and he goes to the wood shed and thinks of a way to bullshit through this but-

But he sees him, bruised and hurt and looking at him with admiration and respect and he’s like- inner-screaming because he looks so tender and sweet, so young, such a white lotus!! And he fangirls inside his mind for a while before explaining to him the same fake story he told the others, but sayng that it was also to test his will and his stenght and his endurance and perseverance, and that he passed with flying colors.

Then he apologizes and bows his head and LBH nearly has an aneurysm!? Because Shizun is showing him respect what the hell? And he gets all flustered and then SQQ treats his wound and LBG is ????????????.

Afterwards SQQ goes to look for SQH and tells him what happened and they both inwardly scream and SQQ is so happy for not having OOC restrictions.

Cue both of them f*ucking everything up as they try to fix the painful parts of the story, taking any and every shojo cliche they know and trying to make them a reality, for the suffering of everyone in cang qiong mountain and the demon realm.

 In the city with the first boss, SQQ obliterates butterfly and saves LBH and NYY, gaining their trust and respect. He tries to act cool, he succeeds.

At the fight with Sha Hualing, SQQ loudly reveals a lot of embarrasing secrets he knew of her, personal stuff that make her blush and she runs away screaming. He avoids being poisoned and making LBH feel guilty, then praises him for his battle prowress. SQH and SQQ high-give after.

With the abyss thing, SQH sticks to MBJ like glue, leaving the demon confused and half-angry half-curious, while SQQ tells LBH that they’ll go together to the abyss and train. LBH refuses, saying he will go alone and grow strong enough to protect him, then he will come back. SQQ doesn’t want to, and tells him to stay away from Xin Mo. LBH agrees, turns back, and before going, he runs and smacks a sweet kiss on SQQ face, then jumps down. SQQ smiles like a dork for the rest of the day.

Then LBH comes back, and he’s the sexy mf SQQ remembered and he nearly loses it. They try to solve the case and SQQ goes to ‘hunt snakes’, to wich LBH answers with a tilt of his head and an big ? SQQ does catch the snake, makes Zhuzhi Lang confess his crimes, and clears his name.

Everthing continues to alter like this as SQQ tries to fill every plot point with fluff and happiness, even going as far as to help SQH capture his love, because he finally admitted that yes, MBJ is hot, and yes, i want him to be my bf.

Luo Binghe is a curious man and when he overhears his husband and Shang Qinghua talking about wax play, he wants to know what it is about.

“I did not expect for cucumber bro to know about wax play” Shang Qinghua laughed, catching Luo Binghe attention as he was getting back to their bamboo house. “What a kinky one you are” sqh teased him.

Shen Qingqiu rolled his eyes a bit, drinking his tea, “I read your trash novel, I learned some, but I stumble onto that one younger, I... got curious... tried once and ended up burning myself” sqq admitted. Not a good experience.

“Shizun did things without me?! And with someone else?!” lbh suddenly said as he came in, looking at his husband rather hurt. Sqq nearly choked on his tea, not expecting for his husband to have heard them talk about it.

“No! I did it... alone” he said, unsure how to explain to lbh that it was in a time before he was even sqq, neither he nor sqh had had that discussion with the demons yet.

“What is this wax play then? If shizun likes it this disciple wants to do it too”. 

“I’ll be taking my leave,” sqh said, not exactly wanting to hear in all detail the way lbh wanted to fuck his best friend.

After an afternoon explaining what wax play is. And of course, lbh wanted to try the moment sqq mentioned he did had an interest in trying.

And this is how now lbh was kneeling in front of him, already down to his underrobes holding out some candles. And how could sqq say no to these puppy eyes.

At least he supposed they were indeed safe (not that some wax would have really hurt the /protagonist/).

Sqq sighed. He would lie if he said he was not interested in doing this actually. Especially that now lbh seemed more than interested. He hummed a bit, patting his lap.

Soon he had his lap full of his husband, undoing the little robes that were left on him, taking a red candle, observing it first.

“Shizun” lbh said a bit unable to keep himself in place correctly, stopping when he received a little kiss from his husband. He watched as sqq lit the candle, waiting for some wax to melt before letting so fall on his tight.

It was interesting feeling his legs contract around his lap, hearing him gasp in surprise despite expecting it, watching the wax solidify. “Are you alright?” sqq asked, lbh nodding, gently touching his hand to guide him to do it again, “Hand in the back” sqq softly ordered, hearing lbh whine despite still doing it.

So sqq went back to dropping wax, stopping when it seemed too much, watching with interest the way lbh muscle would contract under it, the way the bigger droplet would slide to the side before solidifying.

He was about to warn lbh again when he moved his hand, only to see him stop a droplet from falling on his clean robes. “Shizun shouldn’t get his robes dirty,” he said.

Sqq nodded at this, it would be troublesome to get them dirty (though he knew lbh would get them back to perfect after). 

He tapped lbh tight slightly to make him move, the demon lord kneeling on the bed as he watched him undress too, soon coming back to him fully naked.

He made lbh sit cross-legged on the bed, sitting in his lap too, going back to waxing him with interest, watching the pretty colours dropping down lbh torso, fingers smearing the still hot wax against him, enjoying the hot feeling.

He was about to apologise to lbh when a couple of droplets fell on his dick, only to hear him moan and grip his hips. He looked up curiously at his husband, kissing his forehead.

“Do you allow me to drop more on your cock” he asked, lbh looking up at him with teary eyes. “Yes,” he replied. 

It was fascinating how hard lbh got from the wax falling directly on his dick. He was truly a masochist and something in sqq was slowly blooming a bit more at this.

Soon, they were both a mess of coloured wax, rutting against each other, sqq forgetting he had ordered lbh not to touch. He only stopped when they both came and a lot of the wax was already used, but also there was an already good amount of wax on lbh.

“You did so good today,” sqq said as he kissed lbh to stop his crying from feeling good, peeling off the wax (which was also fun to do). 

Maybe they should try again later, it is not as scary as the first time he did it.

(hopefully, I wrote it right, I think waxplay is also one of those kinks that are easier and prettier to draw than to write but the two others are just, really not my cup of tea and waxplay looks fun)
