Jedi who were on extended field missions in wilderness settings hunting, fishing, or foraging for ingredients for meals.

Teaching their Padawans how to cook and passing down recipes that their own Masters passed down to them.

The cultural variation in Jedi lineages leads to such a diverse knowledge of food, spices, seasonings, and herbs - allowing Jedi to craft a diverse selection of meals in the field.

This leads to Jedi who are stationed at one of the many Jedi Temples consistently cooking for one another.

Jedi who worked in professions that were not field related were often incredible bakers.

Some OT3 ramblings

Artek and Theron's relationship was a 'first time' for both of them. Theron, it was his first time with another man, which ties into my "Theron is bi, leaning towards women" sexuality headcanon. Haven't decided if he's had casual sex with men before or not, but in my headcanon, Artek was the first man that Theron got serious with. For Artek, it was his first time being genuinely in love with someone (he'd been with Ranna and Kira before, but that was more him thinking with the other head lol).

Artek actually did have a brief fling with Kira in Chapter 1 of the Knight storyline. They were pretty playful and flirtatious with each other, but Artek did promise to Orgus he wouldn't be romantically involved with anyone anymore, after he revealed his relationship with Ranna. It really ate him up inside, especially after Orgus died. That caused him to break off their relationship and keep it platonic. It wasn't until KOTXX where they realized just how much they missed each other and eventually got back together.

Haven't fleshed it out yet, but Kira and Theron did start working together a bit during KOTFE's timeskip. Both of them were able to bond over shared experiences and how much they missed Artek. While they might've thought about getting together, nothing came of it until Artek came back into the picture.

Artek is the tallest of the three (tho with Theron, it's only by like an inch or two), and the most muscular (he's more just ripped or 'average' rather than full on beefy). He's capable of carrying both Kira and Theron, sometimes both at the same time, and they absolutely love it. There's also quite a bit of muscle play involved when they get frisky.

Each of them has a favorite PDA type. Artek really loves giving Kira and Theron hugs from behind or massaging their shoulders. Theron just really loves hand holding both his partners at the same time. Kira most commonly gives her boyfriends kisses on the cheek.

Their sleeping situation is...a bit of a pain. It does not matter what position Artek falls asleep in. Eventually, he's gonna end up completely sprawled out over someone and waking him up is borderline impossible. Theron is a big blanket hog himself, so you better hope it's not too cold. And Kira stays up way too late. You're lucky if she hits the sack by 3 AM.

On Those SWTOR Character Changes

Keilla, who has not done well with these changes. The new one is on the right.

My goodness, there's so much commentary on the SWTOR character overhauls. I think that "some of the remarks are ageist/sexist" and "the changes honestly are upsetting to many" are statements that can coexist.

Do the characters look older? Yes, I think so too. However - wrinkles, shadows under your eyes and looking older don't equate to ugly. Sorry, no, they don't. However, those are things that don't necessarily work with every character's story or every player's preferences. I would think it's actually a good thing to have wrinkles, eye shadows, etc. if they were optional. If your Sith Inquisitor gets off the shuttle on Korriban and they look very mature, it might not work. If they've been fighting through the galaxy for nearly 20 years, it might. If you had a slider so you could go in and age them a little after every expac or harrowing events in their life or your RP/HC, the same way you can change their hair color or whatever, I think a lot of people would embrace that.

I find the new lighting/glimmer in the characters' eyes to be disturbing. In addition to the changes to her body type (see below), my cinnamon roll Keilla has gone from looking mild mannered and pleasant to looking completely not like that, and it's all about the new look of her eyes and the fact that her makeup that was all shaded now looks very sharp.

The skin textures appear to be mottled and uneven, and I'm not sure what the point of that might be.

On the character body models, it's really ironic that people are claiming that this is some sort of "woke" plot to make their characters look uglier, when Viri, who has BT3, has been Barbified.

With the current graphics setting, Viri has significantly lost muscle. She's thinner, her shoulders are less broad, her neck is longer, her face is thinner, and her bust appears larger. They've more or less turned her into a tall version of female BT2. With the exception of the odd sunburn and texture of her neck and the very bizarre glint in her eyes, every change they made puts her closer to the conventional attributes that cis straight men traditionally find attractive. You can see on Keilla as well that her bust is ahem, more prominent than it was. Both of those things look fine if that's what you wanted for your character. But if you chose a body type that was specifically very muscular and now it isn't that way - that is not as intended.

So why the hell did the SWTOR devs do this? My guess: we have shifting characters for dudebro appreciation, not giving a fuck how they screw things up, perhaps combined with a severe lack of talent and resources. There have been comments that the devs ignored all the feedback about this on the PTS. Of course they did. That's status quo. Even when I was still playing, it's why I never bothered touching the PTS. Why expend all that time and effort to be an unpaid tester, taking time away from your paid subscription, when you knew full well the devs were going to ignore every bit of feedback that didn't match the narrative they'd already decided upon?

This is really just an expansion of the hack job they did on Lana and Koth when those companion models were made dressable. In Lana's case they made her more conventionally appealing, ie she lost weight, her hair was not as ragged, etc. In Koth's case I don't think they gave a shit about doing the character justice, which seems to have been a running theme with that particular character.

All in all it's a mess and I understand why people are heartbroken about how their characters look. And it confirmed, again, why I stopped playing SWTOR.

I'm glad I saved my characters' names. I'm really glad I got to experience the Lana date night mission. And now it's uninstalled again.

SWTOR-Tober. Day 1: Training

I'm kind of late because of work, but I'll be trying to keep up, so some of these may not be super fancy or rendered, but I wanted to partake in the challenge. This challenge was made my herofotython on Insta. (References below the cut).

So this first one is training. On the right is my main character, Wildfi're (FemTrooper) training with my Jedi Consular, Honey Abeille (Yes her name translates to "honey bee").

So Mandalorians adapt their combat to fight Force users, especially Jedi. Beskar to protect against lightsabers and ways to fight despite the Force being used. I wondered if Republic troopers would have studied such battles and did their own versions to fight Sith.

Wildfi're has. Her mother was an elite champion for her Mandalorian clan (exiled, long story. Wildfi're's dad is a Republic war hero.) She would've trained her daughter to prepare her. Wildfi're took it upon herself on her free time to train with her Jedi friends, including Honey here. They would train and train, Wildfi're pushing limits and keeping on. She even would get the rest of Havoc to do the same, creating strategies for on the field.

Honey (and few other friends of Wildfi're) not only does combat, but meditation. Wildfi're isn't Force sentisitve, but since she's a "chosen one" (aka main toon. Lol not her actual title), the Force is with her. Not Force-sensitive, but clearly moves with her to do all these heroics for the galaxy. Wildfi're is good, Havoc is good, but there are some battle that she should've not survived- could not survive- without the Force intervening. (Also my hc for any non-Force sensitive class.)

I'm actually proud of this piece, because usually I struggle with action poses / I think it turned out well and it didn't take that long to complete. For Honey, the pose reference I used was a Darth Maul still from season 7, while Wildfi're's pose is half-way a pose I found with Ahsoka (wasn't the same episode as Maul.)

I'm not good writing or drawing combat scenes, I was trying to make it dynamic and make sense.

Male Mirialan Sith Warrior. Complete cinnamon roll and worst possible person to be a Sith (affectionate). Baras took advantage of his inclination to trust (AKA gullibility) and messed him up big time. Anxiety and Imposter Syndrome made worse by the constant threat of death. But he’s got Vette and the Force and his love for plants, so it'll probably be okay?

Hopefully going to end up married to Jaesa Willsaam (but in my head she’s a totally different person) with two+ Mandalorian kids but either of them could definitely mess that up between here and the end of the class story.

Arrogant, contrary and despises feeling controlled more than anything else (Act II was nearly enough to turn her genocidal and it probably would have succeeded if not for bugboi). Always does the right thing but by her standards, not anyone else’s. Enjoys luxury and partying with her BFF Kaliyo. After Act III, took the Black Codex and disappeared. Now she runs a grassroots Space Illuminati 2.0: Chaotic Good version. Yes, it’s probably going to fail spectacularly. Yes, she’s pink. Don’t tell her.

Happily married to her emotional support bug with one adopted kid who will have no hope of a normal childhood. Shae’zena’s sister.

Currently done with the class story, with no intention of doing the expansions and plans to do a second playthrough.

Proficient deadpan snarker, slicer, mechanic, and swoop bike pilot. Geeks out about software with Theran Cedrex. Nadia drags him to all the important ceremonies he’s supposed to appear at. Despises impractical ceremonial robes more than anything.

Diligently following the Jedi “no romantic attachments” policy and completely fine with that.

Largely exists because all my other OCs are very polite and serious, and I wanted at least one chill snarker who can say all the things that the others would think but not say.

Corso Riggs and *sigh* Doc currently under consideration for the position of bf. Depends on whether he (either of them) learns to respect her or not. Theron is also a definite possibility :D

Ffeud - Male Chiss Agent. Manipulative bastard who also somehow exudes the overwhelming impression that he is a trustworthy friend who would never lie to you and never did anything wrong. Unclear how he does it, because every aspect of that impression is completely wrong. Potentially force sensitive? A’la’zena immediately hates his guts.

Valkerie Beausoleil - Female Human Inquisitor. Literally and figuratively the black sheep of the Beausoleil family due to her ✨raven black hair✨ and strong force sensitivity. Disowned by her family, she becomes Sith anyway, determined to free the Empire from the rule of old complacent traditionalists set in their ways.
