Chapter 2: Sacred Covenant
Narrated by Peppermint.
HypnoticWave: Seal, are you there?
Narrator: It’s Bobbie! “Seal” is what I told her to call me.
You: Does she not know you are Peppermint?
Narrator: Of course not! We only communicate with each other through an encrypted platform in the escape pod.
Narrator: For the sake of safeguarding the dimension!
Narrator: I replied to her with a seal emoji saying hello.
HypnoticWave: Oh, there you are! Great! I just finished watching “Star Five.” Did you see it?
SealEscapePod: I also happened to borrow a “Traveler’s Guide to the Galaxy” from Captain Felix.
HypnoticWave: Speaking of which, it looks like an official novel of the “Blue Star Warrior” series is about to be released.
SealEscapePod: !
SealEscapePod: Really?
HypnoticWave: YES! And “Guarding the Dreamland” ...
Narrator: Bobbie and I start to exchange the latest news on the dimension. I need to concentrate on these precious materials.
HypnoticWave: By the way, Seal...
Narrator: Bobbie sends a long message and the last line reads...
HypnoticWave: Let’s meet up!
HypnoticWave: I know a coffee shop that recently started to sell a pumpkin latte. We can chat over afternoon tea. What do you think?
Narrator: ...
Narrator: As a Guardian, I can’t easily leave the Nexus.
HypnoticWave: Seal?
Narrator: What should I do?
Peppermint: Ah! Got it!
Narrator: Signal Station Command Received: Accessing Internet Dimension and Magic Dimension.
Peppermint: Ai! Susan!
Narrator: Fortunately, a reply came quickly from the other end.
SummerSue: Afternoon tea? That sounds great!
SummerSue: You haven’t had any inspiration lately. Magical things can happen if you go out for a while.
Ai: Pumpkin Latte... seasonal special. Main ingredients: sugar, salt, pumpkin, milk, coffee beans.
Ai: Latest Review A: 5-star rating!
Ai: Latest Review B: 5-star rating! SO GOOD!
Ai: Latest Review C: 5-star rating! SO GOOD! LOVE IT!
Ai: Based on my analysis, most people have positive feedback and feel great after drinking a pumpkin latte.
Ai: Conclusion: Drinking this special beverage can be beneficial to comic creation.
Peppermint: Ah...
Narrator: Is that so?
Narrator: I can’t help but look at my empty folder and the deadline.
SealEscapePod: Sure.
HypnoticWave: Wow!
HypnoticWave: I will see you then!
HypnoticWave: Yayyy!!!
SealEscapePod: See you then.

Are there other reasons why many Christian denominations discourage/condemn divorce besides what the Bible says?
While the primary reasons many Christian denominations discourage or condemn divorce stem from biblical teachings, there are also additional reasons rooted in theological, moral, and practical considerations: Sacredness of Marriage: Many Christian denominations view marriage as a sacred covenant ordained by God, and divorce is seen as a violation of that covenant. They emphasize the importance…

Countdown to Agatha All Along: Day 848
Agatha: “That’s not fair! Why can’t I keep it?”
Wanda: “Agatha, for the last time, you cannot keep the sword that was stabbed into your abdomen. We don’t know what kind of technology is in that weapon, it needs to be studied for information.”
Agatha: “But I EARNED it!”
Wanda: “Why would you even WANT to keep something that was lodged in your gut not twenty minutes ago!”
Agatha: “Finders keepers!”

Editing Thoughts:
As we reach the end of the Circle of Magic series, magic starts to get weird, y'all. I know a lot of people struggle with things that happen that are not previously established, but I never had an issue with them. Yes, this is my series. I grew up with these books, so CoM is kind of my baseline for magic anyway. But I'm going to pitch one more possible explanation fror why I think it works:
I ran across this video by Timothy Hickson a while back, in which he explains how soft magic systems work really well to emphasize the emotional beats of a story. (This, incidentally, helped me understand why I like soft magic systems so much.) This works particularly well in CoM because we see in the first couple of books how emotional states can have an influence on magic--namely, when Tris is angry, she sparks. And she must learn to control her anger.
So at the end of Shatterglass, when Tris basically opens a hole in the ground? This is again, an echo of her anger. And at the end of the Will of the Empress, Tris's ability to be with the other three "physically" while still being so far away is the CoM version of the family member leaving and saying, "I'll always be with you in here (points to heart)."
The thread circle is a symbol of the childhood bond these four form. Then they part from one another, grow, change, and return. For many of us, childhood friendships fall apart as we grow older. We leave friends and that's that. And throughout the book, they struggle with whether or not their frienship has ended--if it was just a childhood thing. And in a way it was, and in a way, it wasn't. By the end of the story, they reform their friendship anew--it is no longer a childhood bond, but an adult one, which comes with all the complexities of adulthood. So the thread circle--the symbol of their childhood friendship--disappears as they form a newer, deeper, stronger bond. And the circle goes deeper--literally moving into their hands--and leaving them with a scar, just as friendships can both open and heal wounds. And yes, it's something new and unexpected, that can't easily be explained. But isn't that so much of what life (and friendship) is?
But I would be wrong. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Today, a break from my usual daily rituals. The full moon in May is set aside to mark the Rite of Her Sacred Fires, a ritual for Hekate that's been going since 2010. I've celebrated this many times, though not all of them, and it's always a lovely, wonderful rite, and tonight's was no different.
Meditation led me to not just Hekate but to Wepwawet, and some other work I need to sort through. Much is private work, but sometimes that's the nature of things. I'm leaving my shrine as it is for now as I will need to make some changes to it.

1 Chronicles 22: David Establishes Where The Temple Of The Lord God Will Be Built
1 Then David said, “The house of the Lord God is to be here, and also the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
Preparations for the Temple
2 So David gave orders to assemble the foreigners residing in Israel, and from among them he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stone for building the house of God.
3 He provided a large amount of iron to make nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, and more bronze than could be weighed.
4 He also provided more cedar logs than could be counted, for the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought large numbers of them to David.
5 David said, “My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord should be of great magnificence and fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations. Therefore I will make preparations for it.” So David made extensive preparations before his death.
6 Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for the Lord, the God of Israel.
7 David said to Solomon: “My son, I had it in my heart to build a house for the Name of the Lord my God.
8 But this word of the Lord came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.
9 But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
10 He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’
11 “Now, my son, the Lord be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the Lord your God, as he said you would.
12 May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
13 Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.
14 “I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the Lord a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them.
15 You have many workers: stonecutters, masons and carpenters, as well as those skilled in every kind of work
16 in gold and silver, bronze and iron—craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and the Lord be with you.”
17 Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.
18 He said to them, “Is not the Lord your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hands, and the land is subject to the Lord and to his people.
19 Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord.”

Temple Worthiness: Navigating Spiritual Sanctification
In a world where spiritual journeys are deeply personal, the concept of temple worthiness for entering the Kingdom of God holds profound significance.
Stand a Little Taller | Gordon B. Hinckley:Counsel and Inspiration for day of the Year Depart ye, depart, ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean things, go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.~ Isaiah 52:11 ~ Each of us has an obligation to see that the temple is kept sacred and free of any defilement – first, as to our own personal worthiness, and…

i see libertarian types talk about federalism as if it means "states rights" but it originally emphasized the centralization of power in the federal government. i don't get why they can't just stick with "anti-federalist".
anyway, i was just thinking about the word "federal" and think the term is a cool word. it has an almost religious feeling to me. i mean, it essentially means "covenant, contract, pledge, oath, pact, etc" and comes from an ancient latin word which roughly means "faithful, trustworthy, loyal, promise, credit".
so yeah when i think of something being "federal" i don't just think of the national government. i think about how it is a national union created through the sacred bonds of our people, established and sanctified by covenant, and perpetuated through the faith and credit of our people, and how it is a promise to our people and our posterity.
