عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ: مَنْ عَادَى لِي وَلِيًّا، فَقَدْ آذَنْتُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ، وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي بِشَيْءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا افْتَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَا يَزَالُ عَبْدِي يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ، فَإِذَا أَحْبَبْتُهُ، كُنْتُ سَمْعَهُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ بِهِ، وَبَصَرَهُ الَّذِي يُبْصِرُ بِهِ، وَيَدَهُ الَّتِي يَبْطِشُ بِهَا، وَرِجْلَهُ الَّتِي يَمْشِي بِهَا، وَإِنْ سَأَلَنِي لَأُعْطِيَنَّهُ، وَلَئِنْ اسْتَعَاذَنِي لَأُعِيذَنَّهُ، وَمَا تَرَدَّدْتُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ أَنَا فَاعِلُهُ تَرَدُّدِي عَنْ نَفْسِ عَبْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِ، يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ مَسَاءَتَهُ" رواه البخاري

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.

حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَيْرُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ‏.‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ‏.‏ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي‏.‏ أَوْ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ، فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَصَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاَتُهُ .

تَعَارَّ : هَبَّ من نومه واستيقظ.

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit:

The Prophet (ﷺ) "Whoever gets up at night and says: -- 'La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-lmulk, waLahu-l-hamd wahuwa 'ala kullishai'in Qadir. Al hamdu lil-lahi wa subhanal-lahi wa la-ilaha il-lal-lah wa-l-lahu akbar wa la hawla Wala Quwata il-la-bil-lah.' (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He is the Only One and has no partners . For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah. All the glories are for Allah. And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, And Allah is Great And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allah). And then says: -- Allahumma, Ighfir li (O Allah! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted."

وذلك أنّ هذه الثلاث جمعت خير الدي�� والدنيا, فإنّ العبد إذا هدي للإسلام الذي هو دين الله, الذي لا يقبل ديناً سواه, وهو مدار الفوز بالثواب والنجاة من العقاب, وحصل له الرزق الذي يكفيه ويكفّ وجهه عن سؤال الخلق, ثمّ تمّم الله عليه النعمة, بأن قنعه بما آتاه, أي: حصل له الرضى بما أوتي من الرزق والكفاف,ولم تطمح نفسه لما وراء ذلك: فقد حصل له حسنة الدنيا والآخرة.

فإنّ النقص بفوات هذه الأمور الثلاثة أو أحدها: إمّا أن لا يُهدى للإسلام: فهذا مهما كانت حاله, فإنّ عاقبته الشقاوة الأبديّة, وإمّا بأن يُهدى للإسلام, ولكنّه يبتلى: إمّا بفقرٍ ينسي, أو غنى يطغي: وكلاهما ضرر ونقص كبير, وإمّا بأن يحصل له الرزق الكافي موسعاً أو مقدّراً, ولكنّه لا يقنع برزق الله, ولا يطمئن قلبه بما آتاه الله: فهذا فقير القلب والنفس.

فإنّه ليس الغنى عن كثرة العرض, إنّما الغنى غنى القلب، فكم من صاحب ثروة وقلبه فقير متحسر، وكم من فقير ذات اليد، وقلبه غني راض، قانع برزق الله.

فالحازم إذا ضاقت عليه الدنيا لم يجمع على نفسه بين ضيقها وفقرها، وبين فقر القلب وحسرته وحزنه، بل كما يسعى لتحصيل الرزق فليسع لراحة القلب، وسكونه وطمأنينته. والله أعلم. شرح الحديث : من كتاب بهجة قلوب الأبرار وقرة عيون الأخيار للشيخ السعدي رحمه الله

Allāh spreads out His hand by night to accept the repentance of the one who sinned during the day, and He spreads out His hand by day to accept the repentance of the one who sinned during the night. This continues until the sun rises from the west. (before the Day of Resurrection).

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضي الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ، وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ فَأَخَذَهُ، فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ، فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ‏"‏‏.‏ صحيح البخاري ومسلم حديث ٢٤٧٢ - ١٩١٤

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on the way and removed it. فضل إماطة الأذى عن الطريق -.

ه- إماطة الأذى عن الطريق من أدنى شعب الإيمان، قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((الإيمان بضع وسبعون - أو ستون - شُعبة؛ أعلاها: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله، وأدناها: إماطة الأذى عن الطريق))[3]، وإذا كان كذلك وقد غُفر لفاعله، فكيف بمن أزال ما هو أشد من ذلك؟

- شكَر الله له؛ أي: رضي فعله ذلك، وأثابه عليه بالأجر والثناء الجميل[4].

- نِعمة المشي على القدمين، ونعمة البصر؛ حيث رأى غصن الشوك في الطريق، هي نِعَمُ كثيرة قد لا يشعر الإنسان بها إلا إذا فقدها، أو أُصيب بمرض فيها.

- قيل: معنى الصدقة: إيصال النفع إلى المُتَصَدَّق عليه، فأما إماطة الأذى عن الطريق فقد تَسَبَّبتْ إلى سلامة أخيه المسلم من ذلك الأذى، فكأنَّه قد تصدَّق عليه بالسلامة منه، فكان له على ذلك أجر الصدقة.

- الحث على الاستكثار من الخير، وألا يُستقلَّ منه شيء[5].

- أنَّ قليل العمل قد يَغفِر الله به كثير الذنوب.

- فيه دلالة على أن طرح الشوك في الطريق والحجارة والكُناسة والمياه المفسدة للطريق، وكل ما يؤذي الناس - يخشى العقوبة عليه في الدنيا والآخرة.

- لا شك أن نزع الأذى عن الطريق مِن أعمال البرِّ، وأن أعمال البر تُكفِّر السيئات، وتوجب الغفران[6].

- حرص الإسلام على النظافة.

- اهتمام الإسلام بطريق الناس الذي يمشون فيه، وأنَّ للطريق حقوقًا؛ منها إماطة الأذى عنه.

- النفع المتعدي أمرُه عند الله عظيم.

- إيجابية هذا الرجل، وعلو همَّته.

- أنَّ الجزاء من الله قد يكون أكثر من جنس العمل.

- هنا في الحديث قال: ((بينما رجل)) نكرة، لم يوضِّح من هو؛ لأنه لا فائدة من ذكره؛ إذ المُعتبَر هو العمل.

- مَن أزال عن المسلمين الأذى، فله هذا الثواب العظيم في أمر حسيٍّ، فكيف بالأمر المعنوي؟ هناك بعض الناس - والعياذ بالله - أهل شر وبلاء، وأفكار خبيثة، وأخلاق سيئة، يصدُّون الناس عن دين الله، فإزالة هؤلاء عن طريق المسلمين أفضل بكثير وأعظم أجرًا عند الله، فإذا أزيل أذى هؤلاء، إذا كانوا أصحاب أفكار خبيثة سيئة إلحادية، يُرد عليها، وتبطل أفكارهم.

فإن لم يُجْدِ ذلك شيئًا، قُطعت أعناقُهم؛ لأن الله يقول في كتابه العزيز: ﴿ إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَنْ يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِم�� وَأَرْجُلُهُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ أَوْ يُنْفَوْا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ﴾ [المائدة: 33]... المهم أن إزالة الأذى عن الطريق، والطريق الحسي، طريق الأقدام، والطريق المعنوي، طريق القلوب، والعمل على إزالة الأذى عن هذا الطريق كله مما يقرب إلى الله. وإزالة الأذى عن طريق القلوب، والعمل الصالح أعظم أجرًا، وأشد إلحاحًا من إزالة الأذى عن طريق الأقدام. والله الموفق. شرح رياض الصالحين لابن عثيمين.

- مِن أسماء الله الشاكر والشكور، قال سبحانه: ﴿ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيمًا ﴾ [النساء: 147]، وقال سبحانه: ﴿ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ ﴾ [الشورى: 23]. فوائد من الحديث

These Hadīths clearly state the virtue of removing harm from the road, whether the harm is a harmful tree, a thorny branch, a stone causing other to stumble on, filth, a dead animal, or the like. Removing harmful things from the road is one of the branches of faith as stated in an authentic Hadīth. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said that he saw a man moving around in Paradise and enjoying its pleasure because he removed a harmful tree from Muslims' road. An-Nawawi said: "He is enjoying the pleasures of Paradise because of removing the tree and taking it away from people's road." Al-Qāri said: "This urges Muslims to get rid of harmful things and remove it in any possible manner." Nuʿmān bin Bashīr (Allah be pleased with him) said:

فَرَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يَلْزَقُ مَنْكِبَهُ بِمَنْكِبِ صَاحِبِهِ وَرُكْبَتَهُ بِرُكْبَةِ صَاحِبِهِ وَكَعْبَهُ بِكَعْبِهِ

“So I saw a person attach his shoulder to the shoulder of his companion, and his knee with his companion’s knee, and his ankle with his companion’s ankle.” (Reported by Abu Dawūd, under the chapter of ‘Straightening the Rows’, no. 622. Al-Albānī graded this hadīth as sahīh.)

Anas bin Mālik (Allah be pleased with him) said:

وَكَانَ أَحَدُنَا يُلْزِقُ مَنْكِبَهُ بِمَنْكِبِ صَاحِبِهِ وَقَدَمَهُ بِقَدَمِهِ

“Every one of us used to put his shoulder with the shoulder of his companion and his foot with the foot of his companion.” (Reported by al-Bukhārī, no. 725.)

And there occurs in the hadīth of Ibn ʿUmar (Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

أَقِيمُوا الصُّفُوفَ وَحَاذُوا بَيْنَ الْمَنَاكِبِ وَسُدُّوا الْخَلَ��َ وَلِينُوا بِأَيْدِي إِخْوَانِكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُوا فُرُجَاتٍ لِلشَّيْطَانِ

“Straighten the rows, and stand shoulder to shoulder and leave no gaps, and be gentle with the hands/arms of your brothers – and do not leave any gaps for the Shaitān.” (Reported by Ahmad, 2/98; Abu Dawūd.)

One day you will realize that prayer was better than sleep, but you slept. And reading the Quran was reassuring you, but you deserted it. And remembering Allah used to increase your day in blessing, but you were lazy. And seeking forgiveness was expanding your provisions but you ignored it. And the night prayer was reassuring your heart, but you left it. And the door of repentance is always open but you postponed it.

The problem is you think you have time but once you realize how short life is or how much of the time you have wasted and how close you are to your death, you will never be the same again. ✨
