The Filth

In the humid terrain of the Uzrek people, King Sareyon surveyed his lands. The lush green valleys split into rocky cliffs on all sides, erupting into mountains under which the filth of their great territory tunnelled in crude, subterranean caverns.

Sareyon frowned, the sun which beat down on his brow irritating his sensitive eyes and declining his mood further. The Krulon- demons of degeneracy and barbarity- were a blight on his otherwise perfect kingdom. From his royal terrace, a sophisticated platform with vibrantly flowering vines hanging from elegantly carved wooden slats, he scanned the mountains for signs of life. 

The worst of all terrestrial beings, ally of darkness and the avian Selenor, the Krulon were the enemy Sareyon wished beyond all wishes to eradicate, the parasite his great house had waged war on since the days his ancestors had come to the great Uzrek territory.

As Sareyon watched, a speck in the distance grew larger and larger. He went to call for guards, but something stayed his hand. It was a rider on a horse. Krulon, lizard-like scum that they were, did not use such noble beasts as horses. This was one of his own scouts. 

The rider raced toward the terrace, clearly seeing his king standing there. As his gallop slowed to a canter, and then a trot, his horse’s eyes rolling and its pelt lathered with sweat, the scout gasped, “My lord. They are gone.”

The king sharply demanded, “Gone? Gone where?”

“I do not know, my lord. They had no sentries, no guards. I was able to enter their 

tunnels. Not even their spawn or hags were there. They have left.”

Sareyon felt a flicker of disquiet. What would make the Krulon, native to this land and stubbornly clinging to their foul caves and barbaric traditions, up and leave? “Is there any hint as to why?” he asked. “Speak up, man, quickly!”

The rider wiped his brow. “No. But they were well prepared. They took provisions with them, leaving nothing behind. They are all gone.”

The king stared out at the mountains, something in him clamouring with panic. He felt, inexplicably, that he must leave at once, run, escape. But this was foolishness. He turned to his rider, allowing a glimmer of satisfaction to overwhelm the strange emotion. “If they have finally fled,” he at last declared, “we must rejoice. Our people are freed from the…” From the corner of his eye, he saw something move. 

The ground trembled. 

The rider looked startled, uncertainly asking, “My lord?

The king, eyes fixed on the mountain in horror, waved him off distractedly. The urge to run crashed once again through his mind, but it was hopelessly, uselessly too late.

The Selenor whirled in the sky as smoke poured from the top of the mountain. He could hear their cold, clear laughter even above the rumbling of the earth. The Krulon’s barbarity knew no bounds. The Selenor’s arrogance was limitless.

And the mountain was exploding.

His doom burned in the sky.

- A short story my friend @fieldofklovers and I wrote in English class, using the words “Territory”, “Terrain”, “Terrace”, “Subterranean”, and “Terrestrial”.

In the recent posts the pic where Selenor are matching the girl next the Eleanor (not the one w blonde at the end of her hair the other one) used to do YouTube videos of Eleanor in like 2012/2013 when literally everyone dressed like Eleanor and now she's in the hamptons w Eleanor like how amazing (her name is Tess Christine)
