Magic Fig were featured on Bandcamp's "New and Notable". They referred to the group in two descriptive ways: (1) "An assemblage of San Francisco indie pop all-stars" and (2) A band trying "their hand at Canterbury scene-style psychedelia".

Proof for the all-star claim: Members of Almond Joy, Healing Potpourri, and The Umbrellas are key members of this band. Joel Robinow of Once and Future Band produced this.

As for the 2nd claim, I'll direct you back to an excellent Bandcamp article about the Canterbury sound.

This is 74 year old Canadian Israeli Peace activist Vivian Silver.

Silver dedicated her life to promoting peace. she co-founded Women Wage Peace, an interfaith grassroots organization, and was a board member of the human rights organization "Bzelem". she volunteered in "On the Way to Recovery," accompanying cancer patients from the Gaza Strip to hospitals in Israel. she was co-CEO at Ajik - an Arab-Jewish organization working since 2000 to support Bedouin society in the Negev and promote shared life for Arabs and Jews throughout the country.

When asked about her aspirations for the future of her grandchildren, she said, "May they have Arab friends, Palestinians. May they not be afraid."

On October 4th 2023, Silver helped to organize a peace rally in Jerusalem which attracted 1,500 Israeli and Palestinian women.

The last connection with her was on the morning of october 7th, when she hid in a closet and texted her son. she wrote "well, the terrorists are in my house". he wrote "i'm on your side". "i feel you" she answered.

She was believed to be kidnapped, but today, 38 days later, her body was identified.

May this kind soul rest in peace. The mind can't comprehend that this was her fate. Thank you for everything you did. May we will get to witness something of your aspirations come true in our lifetime.

Okay, so Silver’s sleep ‘curse’ might be actually interpreted as a blessing

He was sent to sleep by good fairies who wanted to protect him from the human/fae conflict (the magic is in the ring too) and he wouldn’t wake up until someone loved him and in a time of peace

STORIES fucking stories.....flint is a story. a story told to james mcgraw in his childhood, a story taken up by james and turned into something tangible but something that is still in itself a story; flint is a character mcgraw wears. and james flint is a story. a legend, a pirate that strikes fear into people just by the mention of the name. captain flint. the story told to children in the colonies, in England, the story spread like wildfire as a reason to end piracy. the story told to sailors, to other crews. because men in these waters don't fear ships, or guns, or swords, or death. they fear flint. they fear the stories they've heard, the tales that are told. flint is the monster, the warning, the words whispered. flint. flint. flint. he haunts every action, every decision long before he meets his end. and eventually the world molds to fit the story; flint and james become one thing, cross a line where they are no longer separable. and then there's silver...oh is there silver. he has always been a story, a man with no past, a man crafted out of nothing but thin air, constantly contorting himself to be the truest version of the story he can be....the story needs an enemy so he is an enemy, the story needs a rock so he is the rock, the story needs a hero so he is the hero, the story needs a tragedy, so he is the tragedy, the story needs a reason, so he becomes the reason. long john silver is a story crafted to contain another story, to contain silver and flint and turn them into legends and preserve them in tales and both james and john end up becoming the stories told about them. this isn't who they are. but the stories are all consuming, will burrow their way through your head until you can no longer see the line between truth and fiction and in the end it doesn't matter what was true or what was untrue because the stories make it so; the story does what it wants and you have no choice but to change yourself to fit

@americangirlruinedmylife asked me if i had seen AG’s website today and for a minute i was so wrapped up in the revival of Julie’s floral jumpsuit that i straight up didn’t even see the other historical drops 😅

anyway i love this fit SO much. i was devastated when i got back into collecting and saw how expensive it was, so i am very pleased to be able to have a version of it (though they changed the sandal color for some reason?? it’s odd but im fine with it - I have some tan ones I’ll switch them out for).

the other thing I’m definitely going to be getting is Addy’s birthday dress- my Addy only has her pjs so i’m pumped to be able to get another fit for her!!! also I just love her birthday outfit. her snood is super fun, and I LOVE the checkered apron.

(I kinda wish the book was sold separately though, as I believe I already have a copy and. Y’know. Money.)

i actually LOVE the idea of the limited drop IF they end up doing what I think they’re going to do. they dropped just the birthday/spring outfits and books during the season when they take place….

I think they might be doing a seasonal release of each book and accompanying outfit??? 🤔

based on how much got left hanging around on sale for molly and kit, i think they might be trying to broaden the audience while limiting the amount they have to stock by doing these three girls at once - they could be planning to rotate out items as they add each new book and accompanying outfit, which I actually think is an extremely cool idea. there’s no way to know for certain until we hit summer and the next wave would release (if im not totally off base), but we’ll see 👀

What if one of Lilia's bats not only helps him with Silver but also helped with Malleus when he was a baby. Obviously the bat had to learn how to discipline and care for a little dragon so as a result Malleus still bends to its disapproving glares, hell the prince respects a bat more than the senate itself, and said bat knows it as it struts around the palace like it owns the place like-
