Sentient household appliances add on
Still like the idea that Magnus has had some of his household appliances for centuries and that they have gained a kind of sentience due to Magnus' magic upgrading them to the technological standards of the current times. And that as a result, he may sometimes argue with his toaster or coffee machine.
Magnus: "Brewtiful, I'm begging you. I promise I will sleep tonight… or tomorrow night, but I need some caffeine right now. Please, I just need to get through this one last meeting in the seelie realm."
Alec: "Did the coffee machine make you another cup of decaf again?"
Magnus: "I know she is only looking out for me, but as I have explained to her, sometimes things happen and inexperienced seelie children get stuck in the wrong dimension and you need to work through a few nights to get them back home and smooth things over with the queen."
Alec: "Define a few nights."
Magnus: "… 5?"
Alec: "You are going to sleep. I will send Jace and Simon to give the queen your report. Good work Brewtiful."

Never ever EVER buy household appliances with ai in them. Most ridiculous things I’ve ever encountered
#to be clear i did not buy one but had to use one to do a load of laundry (who needs ai in a laundry machine??) and let me tell you it was#useless.#first the thing apparently ‘senses the dirty ness of your clothes to calculate the wash cycle’ which then would only ever decide to do a#cycle that took 4. freaking. hours. never have i encountered a washer that takes longer than an hour to wash your clothes.#and without the ability to manually say you want it to be a specific time? makes no sense. who has that kind of time in their day.#NEXT we go to dry the clothes and it also wants to run it for an insane amount of time. so we click it anyways (horrible decision)#and think oh we’ll just open it halfway through#well. upon stopping the cycle halfway through the damn thing says that the door is locked because it’s ‘too hot.’#never have i seen something that thinks i’m going to burn myself on my hot clothes. like cmon#also cause opening the door would be a surefire way to cool the clothes down you’d think??#so we try all sorts of troubleshooting things and even unplugging it and it STILL WOULDNT UNLOCK.#the damn thing is still locked btw. dunno if ill ever get those clothes back#so glad this at least isn’t actually a dryer we spent money on and just one that was here while we’re traveling and need to do laundry#but like. cmon#there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to decide how long to wash our clothes for and instead let a ‘smart’ (hint: it’s not smart) machine#do it for us#(hint part 2: this isn’t just about the clothes)#soni rambles#more like soni RANTS#i was already angry about the idea of ai in appliances but experiencing first hand how bad they are makes me even more angry#and a little scared for the future#now it’s 2am and the laundry is still stuck and im too upset to go to sleep. gah#and i don’t get mad easily.#oh and did i mention that to dry your clothes it wouldn’t let you select a temperature?? that it only said it would sense it itself??#see i like to dry all my clothes on low heat cause ive had a history of them shrinking#so not only are they trapped in the machine but it’s ‘too hot’ because it wouldn’t let us select a lower temperature.#luckily i didn’t put anything in that’s a material that usually shrinks

ok i got my ac in and it's not plugged in yet or weather sealed around the edges but it's IN the window & i pushed up the screen so i can open the top half of the window when it's nice (?? crazy how i always forget this is an option). i really think i should shop around for a lighter unit for next summer because mine is SO HEAVY and it's such a fucking challenge every time. i helped my roommate put her window unit in a couple years ago and it was such a breeze but mine is like one billion pounds and last year it wasn't even cutting the humidity that well anymore. how long are window ac units supposed to last mine's like six or seven years old now i think

what is my family going to do about the dishes when i move out. like this is insane.
#purrs#i understand that because im not contributing as much financially to the house + am not home most of the day doing dishes every night is a#fair reasonable way to expect me to contribute. but also i come home every day fucking exhausted and basically have to clean an entire day’s#worth of dishes (not allowed to leave them out to dry either i have to both wash and dry) for 5 people + put away all the food and#appliances + wipe down all the counters. like i clean up 5 peoples mess completely by myself. and it’s a lot and i constantly go to bed at#lkke 1:30-2am or later because im stuck doing dishes. my mom and siblings cook but they almost always do it together so it’s 3 ppl and then#i do this by myself and sometimes my dad helps me but he’s working all the time and all of his money is going to all of us so it’s fair that#he doesn’t have to help but. god. i have to be at work at 9 every day it’s not enough sleep and i am constantly late and so so so tired.#its 1:19am and i still have 2 sink fuls of dishes to do at least + have to put away all the food etc and it’s 1:19am. my body is screaming#at me to sleep but i am not allowed to leave it less than spotless. awesome#delete later#anyways yeah what i was saying initially is like.. what are they going to do when i move out and they can’t just leave the mess to me at the#end of the night. someone’s gonna have to stay up just as late to clean it all. lol#it takes me at least an hour every night to do all of this

you ever like. remember a medical thing you got that your parents gave you shit for costing so much money? and like, yeah it would take a decent understanding of how insurance works (which is frankly your prerogative as an adult to learn) but they could have totally taken steps for that thing to have not costed so much?
like, they could've fucking fought for you? instead of being upset that the money they had (and could afford to spend!) had to be spent on you and not themselves?
because you were in pain and needed fucking help?

So sometime around 4 AM, after the fifth time I started my attempt to fall asleep and found I’d missed some crucial part of the routine or there was some kind of Issue I had to address first, I just acknowledged to myself I was not remotely tired and I won’t be sleeping this morning.
That was an hour ago.
I didn’t get nearly enough sleep the night before, either.
I’ve gotta say, pretty sure I’d be nocturnal regardless, but the fact that both getting up and going to bed have significant spoon costs due to the number of steps involved REALLY does nothing to help things.

Accroding to BIS Research, the sleep apnea oral appliances market report presents an extensive overview of the industry, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative data.
Market Overview
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the most common type, occurs when throat muscles intermittently relax and block the airway during sleep. Sleep apnea oral appliances are dental devices designed to reposition the lower jaw and tongue to keep the airway open, offering a more comfortable and portable option compared to CPAP machines.

We use a combination of patient history, sleep studies, and diagnostic tools to identify the underlying issues. This detailed assessment allows us to develop a personalized treatment plan that targets the root causes of your sleep problems.
2. Custom Sleep Apnea Solutions
Sleep apnea, particularly obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), is a significant concern for many patients. It involves repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep, which can lead to severe health consequences if left untreated. At Chittenden Dental, we offer several CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) alternatives for patients who find traditional CPAP therapy challenging:

Lifestyle and Behavioral Adjustments: Recommendations on weight management, positional therapy, and other lifestyle changes that can help reduce the severity of sleep apnea.
3. Advanced Treatment for Insomnia
Insomnia can be caused by a variety of factors, including stress, anxiety, and lifestyle habits. Our approach to treating insomnia involves:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I): A structured program that addresses the thoughts and behaviors contributing to insomnia. CBT-I has been shown to be highly effective in improving sleep patterns and overall sleep quality.
Sleep Hygiene Education: Guidance on creating a sleep-friendly environment and developing habits that promote restful sleep.
