I decided to open up wattpad again and I was cringing so hard- almost everything had "He growled" "YOU are MINE" "He was alpha male!" "He slammed her against the wall" And like I get it, in 2011, this was the SHIT. I would've been floored too, but now it was so bad, physically had me crying in second hand embarrassment, but you know what made up for it?

THE FUCKING COMMENTS OMG😭😭😭 I AM CACKLING, HOLLERING- this is the beat feature on wattpad, being able to react to every single line.

There was this line in a book where the mafia guy kidnapped the girl (called "ANGEL") and she's having multiple panic attacks every 5 minutes, and this dude "growls" (every 5 minutes) and slams her against the wall and says-

"I'm going to mark you"

AND THERE WERE LIKE 1K COMMENTS, AND ALL OF THEM WERE LIKE:

Something that has been on my mind is what Kaz says to Nina at the end of Crooked Kingdom about Matthias's share of their money. He offers Nina that share, and then says, "I know it doesn't matter".

Kaz, who has spent this entire series insisting to the others that kruge means retribution, safety, success, comfort, and thus is the driving factor in his life, is sort of accidentally revealing how little he believes it. He knows Nina disapproves of his purported obsession with profit and is not motivated by money, and he also knows from personal experience that no matter how much he insists otherwise, having money will not fix what has happened to you. Maybe it will kind of buy you retribution or a degree of safety, but it will never bring back who you lost - it's too late for that. Kruge is a shitty consolation prize, and Kaz knows it. This is the only time he explicitly lets it on to the others - as emotionally constipated as he might act, he knows Nina's pain and knows that even suggesting that money would in any way fix it would be an insult.

Im so fed up with the reasoning of "love is what MAKE US human" and yeah, I've learn to understand that love presents itself in different ways, and I love my friends and family and all but that's not the problem here

Also, "sex is a HUMAN need" what the???

And some people had said to me something like: " yeah, no, empathy is the thing that make us human" or "community makes us human" and just

Can't we be human just because we are?!

Can I just be me for once and stop questioning my mere existence even outside of my daily struggle with people denying my gender and orientation?

Feeling frustrated today about how often I see “queer women” in like, marketing for a book or a general appreciation post or whatever, and it really means “sapphic women.” It’s a perfectly reasonable way to use the labels, I know, but I am aroace and I would like to sometimes be included in “queer women” too. Especially when it comes to books, where I sometimes get so excited to see “queer female protagonist” and then realize that means it’s a sapphic romance, which I am too romance-repulsed to enjoy. I just wish “queer” was not so often limited to meaning “same-gender romance.”

Sometimes I think about a fictional character and get all grr grr bark bark bark about them and get super excited to see them, so I think I'm not actually ace.

Then I remember that other people actually want to have sex with those characters and aren't just using sexy & fuckable as terms to describe how much they like that character's face and want them to be fucked by other people, and it makes me believe that I'm Ace again.

in short, its a homestuck swap au ive been developing that reverses places of beta kids and alpha kids as well as beta trolls and alpha trolls (so jane, jake, roxy and dirk play the game first and scratch it, june and the crew are post-scratch kids, karkat and his band take the roles of dancestors etc. etc.)

in long its a silly idea that somehow evolved into the monstrocity it is now, where ive got literal pages of plot written out trying to make sense of it, figuring out how to make certain points of the story feasible like a maniac with a corkboard and a red string, and multiple side characters that somehow gained plot relevancy when i wasnt looking because i cant control myself. and all of that because one day i thought itd be funny if jake fucking english merged with gcat like jade with bec in the og comic
