All the employees have one rules : do not under any circumstances cross boundaries with any of the cruisers.James has never been the type to follow rules but this type he truly can’t break the.But when james sees you he start to thinks that keeping his hand off of you is going to be the hardest things his heart will ever have to do.. You are the daughter of one of the richest man on earth and your mom is one of the most famous bridal designer,you’ve been dreaming of this cruise for years and are so deeply excited,you secretly hoped to find love during this cruise like your parents did on the same boat thirty years ago…

You couldn’t believe you were finally on this boat.You dreamed about it since you were a kid,since the first time your parents told you how they meet and how they instantly fall in love ♡ Your parents and their love were your biggest inspiration and your biggest goal : to have someone love you,cherished you and make you laugh so much you can’t breathe.Just like your parents.

Your dad was one of the biggest name in the car industry,he designed car and even sometimes helped build them.Your mom was a bridal designer,she is the one who inspired you to go into fashion.Fashion was your everything,creating clothes and making people feel beautiful was your favorite thing.You were an only child so obviously you were a spoiled little princess but you tried hard to keep your head on your shoulders and always be kind.Your parents did not want you to be alone so they invited your best friend Amelia to come on this cruise with you.You were so deeply happy,your heart was going to explode.You and Amelia have been best friend since elementary school and you hoped that this would be added to your list of amazing adventures you girls had.

It was the first night one the cruise and you were currently sitting at the restaurant with Amelia and your parents.The restaurant area was decorated with so many light garlands and beautiful pink flower bouquets on every table.The ambiance was romantic and heavenly,under all those light you felt beautiful and strangely at home.

The diner went amazingly,the food was mouthwatering,you’ve never eaten anything as good.Everyone around the table though the same things which is why your dad tipped the chef an 100 bill with a little message on a napkin.You also added your own little message on the napkin after you asked the chef’s name : "M.Potter this is the best,most delicious meal i’ve ever eaten,just waw,so so excited to eat your food every day for the next 2 months!” and signing with your name.You loved complimenting people,a little kindness and appreciation never hurts.

After the diner,you went into the club area of the cruise with Amelia and danced all night.The playlist and the dj was amazing,she played so much 2000s playlist and Amelia definitely tought she was beautiful and you hoped something would happen between those two.Love was definitely in the air.

Stickwithu by the Pussycats Dolls started playing.It was one of your favorite song of all the time so you started swinging your hips and let your arms move in the air,you let yourself feel the music and feel sexy.You’d seen a lot of man look at you tonight but none of them gived you this sparkly feeling in your heart.They looked at you like they wanted you but only in their bed.The last thing you wanted was a relationship based on sex or a one night stand,you wanted true love and intimacy.

As the songs ended and Fantasy by Kali Uchis started playing you felt a pair of eyes on you,that send bolt of electricity down your spin.You turned around and lock eyes with the most handsome man you’ve ever seen.He was so tall and bulky,he was wearing a simple pair of blue jeans that fits him so perfectly you felt your heart beating so hard and a cropped white tee.He was so naturally handsome.He was wearing black glasses which made you smile (you’ve always loved men with glasses) and his hair were so tousled like he had run his hand in them a thousand times.You stopped dancing and just started at him.That’s where you realized that he is behind the bar,that means that he must work here.You kept looking at each other,your heart beating fast and his beautiful green eyes sparkling making you feel beautiful.He titled his head to the side as to say « why did you stop dancing ?» but then customers went asking him for drink which he had to serve.

"Girl you NEED to go talk to him",Amelia said jumping up and down," i’ve never seen someone look at another person with so much curiosity and interested AND LUST. I’m begging you y/n go buy a drink and go ask for his number.You wanted adventure and romance baby he looks perfect for that",she screamed over the music while giving you the puppy dog eye.

"Ok ok i’m going,my god he is so so gorgeous i’m so going",you said before kissing her on the cheek and walking in the bar direction.Amelia screamed of happiness,slapped your ass and you heard her say « go get em princess »

"Hi.",you said with your most beautiful smile,you couldn’t had the excitement in your voice.

"Hi darlin’",he answered with the most toe-curling beautiful voice while putting his elbows on the bar, "what can i get you?"

"Mhmm..a sex on the beach please.",you said battling your eyelashes covered with the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.You loved this drink but you also choose that one because of the name.It’s been so long since you flirting with someone you truly wanted.And you wanted him.His presence was sweet and makes your head to crazy.

He laughed,the sound deep,soothing and sultry, "of course love", he send a wink your way before starting preparing your drink.

You watched him worked around the bar,he looked so relaxed and his hand were moving so easily and sexily…His attitude was so attractive,he looked laidback but also full of energy and casually dominant.

"So what’s your name gorgeous ?",he said while posing your drink in front of you with a pink straws.

" I’m y/n y/l/n and you ?", he repeated your name with a smile and oh god those that sounded beautiful.

"James Potter…i’m glad to put a face on the sweet girl who wrote me a love letter on a napkin.",he said while blushing.

" Oh my god,it was not a love letter i was simply complimenting your amazing food which is seriously out of this world.",you felt your cheek growing so red,so the most handsome man you’ve ever seen happen to also cook the most delicious things ever.You thought that you heard some wedding bells.

" Yeah yeah sure darlin’ whatever you want to call it…",he looked at your lips before adding in a whisper :"But seriously i appreciate it so much even more than your dad tip i could even say."

"Your secret is safe with me handsome.",you smiled sweetly at him.

You spend the rest of the night talking with him and flirting.You learned that he worked here as the head chef but also at the club to have extra money.His chambers were at the opposite of yours and there is no way that your path could cross other than at the club because the employee were forbidden to go into the cruiser area.He worked here with his best friends Sirus (the head bartender),Remus(the pianist at the restaurant who also worked at the bar after),Marlene (the dj) and Mary ( who also worked at the bar).He opened a little about his life,he dreamed of opening his own restaurant since he was a kid,his parents never had a lot of money but they given him so much love and support over the year.So this cruise was the perfect opportunity to gain a lot of money and finally realized his dreams.Your interest grows each minute you spend in his presence.He was so gentle but also hilarious and so passionate.He listened to you talking about your life,your passion and what you loved with so much cared and he did not hesitate to ask question.He truly was interested and it feel so nice.

You started to get a little tired after all the cocktails and the dancing and the butterfly in your stomach who couldn’t keep flying because of this gentle man.James refuses to let you walk back into your chambers alone at night.Amelia send you a text an hour ago telling you that she was going to kiss the beautiful dj and that you would know all the details tomorrow.You were deeply excited about that.

"Wow your side of the boat is gorgeous..",he said looking all around the area.The moon was shining so bright,you could see the reflection of it in his glasses.

Arrived in front of your chambers,james lean down to kiss your hand.This gesture was so cute and makes you feel like you were in a romance book.You were so close and a part of you hoped he was going to kiss you but then he said…

"Good night darlin’",he smiled at you before turning around.His back looked so tense.

"James wait…can i maybe get your number ?"

He turned back around and looked pained,like his heart was breaking.

" Fuck darlin’,i can’t.I had an amazing night with you…you’re wonderful and so beautiful.Talking with you was the highlight of my day,i loved everything about our discussion and i truly wished i could keep talking to you and i want your number so bad but i can’t.As an employee i’m forbidden to be with one of you.And you deserve so much more than someone hiding you.I’m sorry but this job means so much to me i can’t lose it,i truly can’t…". His hand was gripping the back of his neck and his voice sounded so so sad.

It breaked your heart,you couldn’t help but feel sad even though you truly understand and loved his passion.Nobody ever made you feel the way he made you feel tonight.But you couldn’t be selfish.You understood but you truly enjoyed his company so you took his hands in yours.

"James it’s okay,it’s fine i understand,i truly do.",you smiled at him and my god does he looked beautiful under the moonlight," i really like you but your passion need to come first…we could maybe be friend ?"

"Yes please i would love to be your friend.",he squeezed your hand before saying the most adorable thing ever that you will dream about for the rest of the night…" But y/n i promise you if i had meet you under any other circumstances i would have loved to take on a date but right now there’s so much things between the restaurant and i’m just not ready but god you are the sweetest thing i’ve ever seen.I would love to be your friend.",he winked before adding" for now.".

If friendship with james was the only thing you could have with him,then friendship it would be.For now.You had this feeling in your chest that whatever time it will take,james and you will have a beautiful romance.Maybe not now.But one day.And you couldn’t wait for this beautiful man to be yours.
