Here’s the TruTV schedule for Monday, January 10 to Sunday, January 16, 2011.

Now, unlike any other network I post on this archive, I never really cared for TruTV until the Impractical Jokers premiered later in 2011, and not really a lot of TruTV got me besides from World's Dumbest around this time, and this is coming from my perspective now. (I didn't care for this when I was 5, which was when this schedule was made)

Now, this schedule had a lot of multi-hour blocks, given this schedule was essentially not that much changed from their CourtTV days, and I actually prefer how the channel was up until last year compared to how it was in 2011.

I won't list what's new, as I never cared for the shows on TruTV up until... when they changed their format in 2014?

This mini-zine was created with our experience in a mid-sized town being at close to 7,000 feet in elevation with intense winter storms and a relatively smaller unsheltered community than other larger occupied areas. It’s notoriously hard to squat and camp in (though we’ve done it). We use the term “patrol” cause it’s what we started with and it stuck, use whatever terms your crew is cool with like “outreach” or whatever. Please amend and edit for your area.

According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, approximately seven hundred people experiencing or at risk of homelessness are killed from hypothermia annually in the so-called United States.

Absolutely no one should be left to sleep outside during cold weather yet a range of factors may force people to sleep in the cold; from discriminatory shelters kicking people out, being kicked out of a house during a storm, being forced to flee an abuser, simply being unprepared, etc. Raids sweeps and anti-homeless laws, such as anti-camping ordinances push people to camp in hidden and dispersed areas which puts them more at risk.

What is Street Patrol?

Street Patrol (SP) consists of an autonomous (decentralized) volunteer crew or multiple crews of people who mobilize to support unsheltered relatives when weather is extremely cold. SP’s primary objective is to ensure people don’t freeze. This is done by providing cold weather gear, warm supplies, food, transportation, and possibly shelter if needed.

In some situations SP’s also act as copwatch and may intervene or de-escalate situations of police aggression and violence. SPs can also mobilize to defend encampments against “sweeps” and help to open up squats (get people sheltered in empty buildings!). Variations of crews supporting unsheltered relatives have also struck out against anti-homeless businesses with creative re-decoration or smashed windows, organized mass mobilizations and attacked cops for attacking relatives on the streets, and torn up anti-homeless barriers/benches etc. Some established street patrols have incorporated defense and attack into their practices and mobilize to address fascist threats at events.

Through building solid relationships of support we can go beyond paternalistic charity and provide meaningful solidarity that goes beyond one season. Mutual aid isn’t about being a “savior” it’s about solidarity. Make it a point with your crew that your effort organizes with unsheltered relatives. Street Patrol should be part of a larger effort to attack the root causes of homelessness such as capitalism and colonialism such as; Land Back, abolishing private property, fighting against the commodification of housing by supporting free camps and squats, food not bombs/meal distros, supporting rent strikes and attacking “slumlords” etc.

DP x DC: Danny x Danny

So, sometimes I just like to imagine ridiculous pairing and then I have a moment that makes me go "actually..."

So Danny Fenton aka Danny Phantom(he/him) x Danny the Street(they/them)

If you're not familiar with Danny the Street, they are a literal teleporting street that's essentially a gay neighborhood. They are a safe space for people who don't fit into mainstream society, and is a big ally of the queer community...

So, a street that is a safe haven for weirdos AND the queer community... Kind of the perfect place for a half ghost boy being hunted by the government... especially since trans Danny is a popular head-canon... and the fact they share the same name is kind of funny...

Damn it, do I now ship Danny and Danny the Street together?

Just imagine them talking to each other Danny the Street using TVs and signs and Danny just talking out loud as he works through so trauma and bonds with them over coffee...

and just the slight tragedy that is not being able to hold your lover's hand but at the same time the romance of being able to feel your lover's affection for you all around because they are literally all around you

Idk there's just something kind of unhinged yet sweet about the whole thing

Are prompts open for DFXDC? Because what if Danny* and his polycule were to move not to Gotham but on to Danny** *Fenton **the Street

DF? like, danny fenton? This question confuses me a little bit but I think I know what you mean!

I think Team Phantom ending up in Danny the Street is untapped material. They would thrive and I can see them promising Danny (the street) to protect them.

For context for my followers who are now wondering what in the world is Danny the Street:

I confess my knowledge of this part of DC is limited, and only from what I've seen in Doom Patrol TV series.

Something that stuck out to me when I was watching the Doom Patrol episode with the Dead Boy Detectives Agency was the scene where we’re first introduced to the boys and Crystal.

In the clip above, Charles knows Danny the ambulance but Edwin doesn’t seem to which implies that Charles has had some sort of adventure or case that involved Danny but not Edwin.

In the DBD show the way they reference their cases, protocols, and moves it seems to be that they haven’t had any solo cases or adventures. They may split up during a case but they’re still handing it overall together (as far as I can remember there’s no implications otherwise).

It’s interesting to me that DP Charles & Edwin may sometimes go cases or outings on their own and DBD Charles and Edwin perhaps don’t.

Also LOVE the line, “They use to be a street, didn’t they?” as if that’s supposed to help Crystal understand what’s happening here lmao.
