Neji x Monster!Reader

I stayed up until 11pm to ensure this was posted on Neji's birthday. So happy birthday Neji! Hope you enjoy!

“I’m home,” you called as you entered the home and took off your shoes. 

“In the Kitchen,” Neji called. You found your husband preparing dinner for the two of you. The two of you had married as soon as Neji was of age. The two of you had secretly been together for years and Neji wanted to get out of the Hyuga component. You had a quiet ceremony and moved into a home on the edge of the Nara distinct. The Hyugas weren't precisely supportive but interested in having Hyuga hybrids. The two of you convinced Hiashi to agree that any future kids would not be sealed as no one could say if the seal would be safe for a hybrid, something that was a relief to Neji. “That took longer than you were told. Was there something wrong?”

“Uh, Kind of.” You took a seat at the table. “Kids are going to be sooner than we were expecting.” 

“Okay,”  Neji sat next to you. “We didn't know when you would need to breed. It's not so surprising. Do you know how soon?” 

“Roughly two weeks, I’ve already started growing eggs,” you said. You had spent most of the day being poked, prodded, and examined along with the rest of your siblings. 

“That's not so bad. We’ll have to start getting prepared for breeding and get ready for the kids.” Neji nodded. “We should have enough time to clean the spare room.”

“Are you nervous?” you laid your head on his. 

Neji was quiet for a bit, “I'm nervous about being pregnant.”

“That's reasonable.” you smiled at him. “I feel bad for my siblings. Only a few of them are dating right now and it's really out of nowhere for them.”

“We didn't expect it to happen so soon.” Neji nodded, “They’ll have to find someone to mate.” 

“I already have you and you be a great parent for our children,” you kissed him gently. Neji was not one for public affection so you took every opportunity you had. Neji blushed and leaned into your arms. “I love you so much,”

“I love you too,” Neji smiled softly. “Let's eat,”

You got the sharp pains a week later and you knew it was only a matter of time. You curled up in your shared bed, piling as many blankets around and on you as you could, and just tried to sleep through the pain. You were woken up late by Neji

“Hey, you're sweating. Are you okay?” Neji felt your forehead. You leaned into his hand. He was very cool to the touch. 

“It's starting,” You said softly. Neji nodded and helped you into the bath. He filled the bath with cool water to cool you down. “Thanks, that's nice.”

“You should have sent me a message. I could have come home early.” Neji sighed.

“I didn't want to take you from your students. I just slept most of the day.” You melted into Neji’s hands as he washed you. 

“Don't be a fool. You should have gotten someone to watch over you.” Neji scolded you. He got you out of the bed and cuddled up in the bed. 

You smiled triedly, “Can you cuddle me?” 

“Yes, love,” Neji smiled softly. “Let me get us dinner first.”

“Alright,” you sighed.

You spent the next week in bed with Neji caring for you. The day your eggs were ready, you could really tell why you knew it was time but you did. You had woken up in the middle of the night and just watched Neji sleep next to you. You didn't want to wake him but you weren't sure you could wait till the morning. You started running your tentacles over neji’s clothes, waking him up. “Is it time?”

“Ya, sorry. I didn’t want to wake you. I couldnt help myself.” You gasped as Neji started stroking one of your tentacles. 

“Oh, I have a surprise for you.” Neji blushed. 

“What do you mean?” you asked intrigued. He pulled his clothes and revealed lingerie. You were practically salivating over him. “Wow!” 

“You like it?” Neji blushed. 

“You are absolutely devourable.” You licked your lips and your tentacles ran over Neji. “I’m going to ruin you~!”

Neji moaned as a tentacle pushed into him. You started stretching him out as you explored his chest with your mouth. He moaned under you. “You can tear them off~”

“Ya~? But you look so good in them.” You moaned. Neji gasped as you entered a second tentacle into him. You couldnt hold ytorself back anymore and tore the underwear off of him as your ovipositor tentacle latched on.

You started sucking on his neck as your opvipositor suucked harder and your tentacles thrusted harder. Neji came hard and you just kept sucking. “Love, is it time?” Neji mumbled.

“Not yet, get some sleep,” you laid with him and fell asleep as well. You woke up with the urge to implant your eggs. You couldnt hold yourself back as you suck your ovipositor tentacle deep in him, 

“Oh~, its time?” Neji moaned as he was open up. 

“Ya~, Kami, you're amazing. It feels so good~” you gasped as you thrusted your tentacle deep in him. “The first egg is coming~,” 

“Give them to me~,” Neji moaned. He let out a soft moan as he felt the egg probing his entrance. You stroked his cheek and kissed him softly as the egg started pushing into him. It was almost halfway in as it pressed against his prostate and sent waves of pleasure through his entire body that just got stronger as the egg continued to press against it. He came hard onto his chest as his vision went starry.

“We’re starting a family.” you stroked his stomach. The two of you took a few minutes to rest before the next egg started dropping. You dropped another 7 eggs in him, each egg ruining him more and more. When the last egg dropped, Neji was a twitching, sobbing mess underneath you. 

“Kami, i wish i could do this to you every day, youre so sexy.” you moaned as the last egg started pushing into him. Neji twitched violently as another orgasm riped through him, giving out meek moan. You watched in hunger as he rode out his last orgasm.

“Of course,” you smiled at him and carried him to the bathroom. You sat him on the edge of the bath and started running the water. Neji stroked his protruding stomach. 

“How does it feel?” you asked.

“Weird. I wasn't expecting them to be so heavy,” He chuckled.  Once the tub was ready  you sat with Neji in the middle of your legs. He melted into you lap as the warm water helped his muscles relax. “This is great.”

“We cant stay in here too long. You still need to eat.” you started washing him. Neji let out a moan as you washed his hair.

“Thats great,” Neji moaned. You chuckled and rinsed the shampoo out of his hair. You quickly washed yourself as well and got the two of you dried of. It took you a few minutes to find Neji a shirt that would fit and got him dressed. You took your time blowdrying his hair and Neji almost fell asleep again. 

“You have to carry me to the Kitchen. My legs still feel like jelly.” Neji sighed. 

“I’ll happily carry you everywhere until you gave birth.” you smiled and scoped him up with a yelp.

Who *Should* Have Died From The Konoha ~12 Instead Of The One Who Did

rules:

we’re assuming they die under the same circumstances as the other guy

each one listed would have a complete storyline and their death would further the immediate plot as well as the overall narrative

i’m not “just picking characters i don’t like”

i do not condone killing characters for the sake of shock value but am considering shock as a legitimate tool in generating impact of a character’s death

miss me with “[redacted]’s death was a tragic result of the shinobi system” because no it was not. if that were true you could sub out [redacted] for any other child soldier and get the exact same impact. we know exactly why they were chosen and it’s got an (insufficient) explanation irl and in-universe.

#3. Sai

Motivation: Friendship

First of all, imagine the shock value from killing one of THE Team Kakashi members.

Cool. Now imagine Naruto’s shock at Sai sacrificing himself for him.

Sai overanalyzes normal human interaction to the point of not understanding it. He reads books about how to befriend people. He still doesn’t understand it all the time but friendship is coming more naturally to him these days. What he does understand is that Naruto is the only chance of winning this war, and he’s down, and the enemy is aiming for him, and Hinata is trying to stop them but she’s on the ground, the spears are in the air and so is Sai, and Naruto is his friend.

He doesn’t need to think about it much deeper than that.

Now imagine Sasuke “What Does ‘Friend’ Mean To You” Uchiha witnessing this, witnessing Naruto’s reaction, and the further effects this may have on his character. After all, Sai was his replacement. If Naruto feels this strongly about losing someone who was decidedly not him but his friend and teammate nevertheless then… maybe.

#2. Rock Lee

Motivation: Youth

Regardless of *how* this one plays out, no one wants to watch the determined, precious, comedic relief die; no one who’s watched this far into the show wants Rock Lee specifically to die. Huge impact already. But we can make it super duper sad because he deserves a memorable death. I see it going one of two ways.

One: Hinata doesn’t even have the time to try to shield Naruto because Rock Lee is faster. Ten-Tails barely launches the attack and Lee’s already taken/attempted to counter the hit. Perhaps this is his eight gates moment. Similar to Sai, Rock Lee would cite the power of friendship in his dramatic death speech, but he also was just… doing his duty. Truly, if you’re in the “Neji was just another tragic child soldier” camp, Rock Lee is the prime example of what I mean when I say you could sub in any child soldier, which I know sounds paradoxical but stay with me. Rock Lee’s entire personality is training harder than anyone else to benefit a system that will ultimately result in his death. If you want to make a point about child soldiers and needless lives lost, Rock Lee is the one to kill.

Two: Rock Lee doesn’t shield Hinata. He shields Neji. But not necessarily on purpose. The scene plays out exactly as written up to the moment Neji activates his byakugan, and the next frame isn’t him falling to the ground, it’s Rock Lee. The usually-somewhat-reserved Neji is devastated, probably in tears, demanding to know why he would do something like this. Rock Lee coughs up a bit of blood. “I was faster than you.” Smile. “I finally beat you…” Serene eyes fall shut. “…rival.”

And now imagine Naruto’s reaction to losing Bushy Brow. Imagine him watching Gai be brought to his knees by a blow that didn’t physically touch him. Imagine Madara incorrectly perceiving that. The implications. The foreshadowing.

#1. Shino

Motivation: Legacy

I’m gonna be real, the writers were never gonna kill off Rock Lee like that, which is the biggest reason Shino has taken the crown as Most Worthy Of A Tragic Death in my book.

This dude has a connection to both Naruto and Hinata (making him equally as good a sacrifice as Neji if that’s the canon criteria). However, unlike most other (male) characters, Shino isn’t shown to have a particularly close friendship with Naruto. The one recurring joke around Shino is that he’s so irrelevant even Naruto can’t remember his name.

But he is good friends with Hinata. And he knows she’ll spend the rest of her life miserable if Naruto dies, and that if she dies right now she will never have gotten her life’s greatest wish.

So Shino goes out in a blaze of glory, and we’ll probably insert something about how Naruto has somehow secretly inspired him all along— or maybe something cynical about how he always wanted to be included by Naruto but never was unless Kiba or Hinata were around, so he’s sacrificed himself to maintain the livelihood of everyone else while not “losing” that friendship himself— and we of course get the touching moment with Hinata (oh just imagine the drama if Shino lay dying and told Hinata “Why did I protect you? It’s simple. The reason is… for the same reason you protected him.” and we find out that the huge secret crush of the show was not Hinata toward anyone, but Shino toward Hinata, never confessing because he knew it would be futile).

Good luck forgetting his name now, Naruto. Now no one will ever forget about Shino Aburame.

One More Puff

“All packed? we leave for our mission in 30,” you adjusted the white bandage on your wrist, “cannot be serious Hyuga.”

He sat man spreading with a cigarette between his lips. Brows furrowed in annoyance and eyes poking the back of his sockets. Already knowing the shit that was about to spew from your mouth for the billionth time.

“Don’t knock it till you try it.”

“Unlike you I care about my health, so no I won’t try it,” you grimaced tossing one of the smaller bags at his chest.

His voice no louder than a hum, “fucking killjoy.”

#2. A compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom.

See here’s the thing. I have four favorites and they’re two couples and I’m currently working on a fic where they swing… all that to say I’ve convinced myself that all four of them *could* do either, though they have preferences.

Anyway, here’s all four. Genuinely interested in responses to this post btw. Keeping in mind that top/bottom and dom/sub are not equivalent…

We all know Shikamaru gets pegged, but the prep and cleanup is a hassle. If Temari (or whoever) is willing to do all the work, I think Shikamaru is happy to be a pillow princess. Otherwise, he’d rather top.

I think Neji genuinely enjoys bottoming but needs to really trust whoever he’s with before that conversation is even on the table. That said, he’s got a few kinks that really lend themselves toward bottoming, so the conversation can’t be held off forever.

The complete inverse of Shikamaru but for the exact same reasons, Tenten would rather bottom unless she’s in a real particular mood. Like she’ll top if she’s asked, but she still wants to get hers when all is said and done.

I truly don’t think top/bottom mechanics matter as much to Temari as dom/sub roles do. Where she winds up depends on the mood she’s in, you know? Most of the time she’ll call the shots regardless.

I've been in the web novel area for some time now (Wattpad addict est. 2015) and what makes me stay THIS long under the scrutiny of my beloved electronic devices, is because of my desire to keep racking through the catalogue for scrumptious pieces of anime character x reader books.

On a rainy Saturday night, a question suddenly popped into my head; what makes me prefer fan fiction over teen fiction? As I grow older and wiser (not), many would say I should've upgraded my taste in books. And I think I did? Besides web novels, I've also read a bunch of hard-copy books. But before those books, it was actually fan fiction books that helped me grow.

Living in Indonesia as a teenage girl until recently (turning 20 now), Wattpad only had been a hit among teenagers around 2019. Based on my survey, their preferred genre would be teen fiction. I read some of them in my early teenage years, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Though, it wasn't for long.

Soon I was drawn into the world of fan fiction, the endlessly creative AU world of Harry Styles and our dearest Y/N. I was (without a filter) introduced to many sub-genres, many writing styles, many vocabularies, and more. The authors were mighty creative with their stories and their writings really affect me until now. A dystopian-themed story of an underworld rebellious community, an ancient kingdom-themed story of y/n as the lost princess, Mafia-themed, Horror, and many else; they succeeded in quenching my thirst for an adventurous and fantastical life--a life that's impossible for me to experience. Tbh those books made me feel like I've literally lived through so many kinds of life. It felt like cheating, but it wasn't (?)

Ultimately, the stories evolved around me and my favourite person. I mean, how could I not refuse? So, my love for fan fiction continues, even as my interest changed.

Now, in my weeb era, a habit of combing through the internet for anime fan fiction that suited my taste starts. One thing that must be noted is that my previous (delusional) escapades with Mr Harry Styles gifted me a sharp eye for excellent quality, tummy-filling, finger-licking-good books that had met under my several conditions. Yes, I've officially developed a type for books.

Within the anime fandom, things got even wilder. Not tied with the laws of reality at all, anime fan fiction is able to fully explore the world beyond our imagination. The internet mostly has fan fiction of everyone; the Uchiha hotties (Madara, Itachi, Shisui, and Obito), Neji Hyuga, Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Kuroo Tetsurou, Kenma Kozume, Toji Fushiguro, Nanami Kento, Sukuna Ryomen, Kibutsuji Muzan--I really can't mention them all because there're so many. Some follow the anime/manga's storyline, while others create a whole new universe. The authors are very unique--especially the ones that are here on Tumblr. They create visuals, themes, and even music playlists for us readers to get into the story even more. Soon Wattpad writers do the same. The stories aren't limited to a character x reader only, some authors provide an OC as the lead character. Also, it's really fun to read through the comments and interact with people that have their interests lined with yours.

Based on my readings on these web novels, fan fiction easily wins over teen fiction, because in fan fiction I feel more involved with the character I love--that I am already familiar with--in a world that had been crafted by the authors. Social interactions with people that are similar to me (hello Toji stan) are also a plus. It's just so fun to simp over a character with others. And, it's refreshing to read a book where your favourite character is out of character. It's like you're seeing a different side of them, one that you cannot see on screen.

Finally, there go my paragraphs of personal opinion about preferences over fan fiction and teen fiction. I hope it can help you readers to realize some things, or maybe just to fill up your free time. In no way am I trying to degrade teen fiction authors, or authors for other genres. My mean for writing this is to share reasons why fan fiction is more of my cup of tea, rather than teen fiction.

There are many stories that flows through the streets of Inazuma City and other villages about how he is one of the most powerful Vision holders in Inazuma because of how lethal his abilities are. He is very protective of Hinata, and tends to show her tough love when he trains with her. He does his best to push her and in a team, they work well together with Hinata being his support as she buffs his damage with her own burst.

Elemental Burst: Hyuuga Art: Eight Trigrams Revolving Heaven - Hanabi's burst provides a protective Pyro shield. She would spin around once with and flames would engulf her, and creative a large shield that works well with her Elemental Skill. Her Skill would gather Pyro energy into her spear so that she can apply Pyro damage to her enemies while she has a strong defense. She is a good support for Melt and Vaporize reactions.

Nation: Inazuma - Polite and respectful, yet also bold and confident. Extravagant in her taste and also a joyful person, Hanabi is a member of the noble Hyuuga Clan and is the sister of the heiress, Hinata Hyuuga. She is very affectionate and protective of her sister, and easily comes to Hinata's defense when she is being criticized. Ironically, Hanabi seems to show more potential than Hinata, and hence, their father tends to fluctuate between who should the role of the head go to, however, tradition entails that the role always needs to be passed onto the eldest sibling.
