A/N: so after i wrote this i decided to make them students at USC, and after googling their stadium i realized it was way bigger than how i wrote it, so lots of this is barely believable if you’re actually familiar with american college football and their stadiums/crowds/etc (i think? i’m not american). this is so main character coded and also is probably not accurate to real homecomings at all but i don’t care!! just ignore it<3 by the way, the touchdown conversation is also based on my very real (and very awkward) conversation i had with a man (i call it fucking idiot rizz)😔 im so sorry to put you through it rn. anyway, enjoy<3
warnings: reader knows nothing about football (affectionate), evan playing football (hot), no use of y/n, fem!reader, race inclusive!reader

At 6:00, a knock on the door interrupts your pacing. You can’t help being nervous, thinking about watching a game you don’t know any of the rules for, about going to an afterparty with a bunch of rowdy football players, about everyone seeing you with Evan’s name on your back. As much as it makes butterflies swarm in your belly, a part of you is nervous about the attention it might bring you.
You open the door and are faced with Evan, a wide grin on his face as he takes in your appearance. His eyes trail down your body, noticing your short jean shorts showing off your thick thighs, and your white oversized crop top hanging off your shoulder slightly, showing off a sliver of your soft tummy and cleavage.
“Hi.” you greet him softly, stepping into the hallway and closing the door behind you, holding eye contact with him.
“Hey princess, you look good.” he tells you, his hand going to the back of your neck to pull you in for a chaste kiss. You hum softly as his lips meet yours, leaning into him..
“Thank you,” you mumble against his lips. You pull back as he does, and look down, rubbing your hands down your jeans to calm your nerves. “We should go. Don’t wanna be late.” you try to change the subject, grabbing his hand to pull him down the hall. As many times as he’s complimented you in the past few weeks, it still makes your stomach flip and your face to get hot, not being used to all the attention.
“Hey, hold on. I’ve got something for you.” he tells you, a smirk growing on his face as he catches onto your nerves. He pulls you back by the hand, putting his hands on your waist and turning you to face him. You put your hands on his chest to steady yourself as he spins you around, a short laugh escaping your throat as you look up at him.
He holds his jersey up close to your face with one hand, his smirk growing as you reach your hand out to grab it.
“Uh uh. I wanna put it on you myself.” he teases, fingers nudging the underside of your arms, urging you to raise them.
You oblige, shaking your head with a smile, eyes focused on him as he lowers it over your head. He slides it over your body, biting his lip as he takes in the sight. It’s slightly oversized on you, as it has to be quite large to fit over him and all of his gear. It comes down to rest just below the edge of your short shorts, making it look like you’re not wearing pants, which causes you to giggle softly as you look down at the jersey on your body.
You reach down, grabbing one side of the jersey and tucking it into the waistband of your shorts, letting it hang diagonally across you so people can at least see you are wearing shorts underneath his jersey.
“Good?” you ask softly, looking back up at him, but you don’t even need to wait for his words to know that it is. His eyes darken as he stares at you wearing his clothes, and a sense of possessiveness rumbles through him. He has to resist the urge to push you back into your apartment and take you right on your kitchen counter.
“Yeah, baby, you’re good.” he rasps, taking your hand and kissing it softly before pulling you down the hall, pulling you close and wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
Once you’re both in the jeep, he makes the short drive over to the stadium; you could’ve walked, but he didn’t want to have to carry his bag the whole way.
His hand finds its way to your thigh almost instantly, his eyes sparking as he glances at you in his passenger seat. You notice how his eyes keep making their way over to you, taking in the sight of your perfect, thick thighs covering the seat, and his jersey clinging to your body.
“What?” you ask after a minute or two, laughing softly as he meets your gaze, shrugging.
“You just look so good in my passenger seat, princess.” he purrs, taking his hand off your thigh for a moment to grab your hand and raise it to his lips. You bite your lip as you look back out the window, noticing the sea of people in red and yellow shirts making their way down the sidewalk to the stadium.
“Are you ready? Excited? Nervous?” you ask after a moment, feeling nerves bubbling in your stomach for him, knowing how many people will be watching today.
“I’m not nervous. You’re gonna be sitting in the front row watching me. It’ll only make me work harder.” he says with a wink as he pulls into a parking spot and puts the jeep in park.
“You’re gonna be great. And I know nothing about football, so even if you aren’t, I won’t be able to tell.” you tell him as you turn in your seat to face him, a small, and slightly embarrassed smile on your face.
“So, you mean to tell me that you agreed to come to my game, and you don’t even know how many points a touchdown is?” He laughs at your words, shaking his head. It makes his heart swell a little; thinking of you being here just because he wants you to.
“Seven?” you say as more of a question than an answer, embarrassment filling your stomach. “If not, then I know less about football than I thought.” you finish with a small laugh, biting the inside of your cheek.
“Close, princess. It’s six.” he says in a gentle tone, a smile glued to his face. You’re so cute, he thinks, he can’t wait to see you in the stands.
“But what about the kick, or whatever? That makes seven, right?” you argue softly, raising a brow.
“Yes, but that’s an extra point. That’s not how much the actual touchdown is worth.” You roll your eyes at his words, laughing softly.
“Alright, whatever.” you get out before his lips are on yours, his hand on the back of your neck to pull you closer to him.
“I appreciate the effort, though. But just because you don’t know anything about football doesn’t mean you don’t have to cheer for me.” he tells you sternly once he pulls back, but you can see the glint in his eye as you nod.
“I’ll just cheer when everyone else does.” you joke, although you’re dead serious. You hope that the game will be easy enough to follow along with, but your plan if it’s not is to wait until everyone else starts to cheer.
“Deal.” he murmurs, leaning in to meet your lips again.
“Okay, lets go. You still need to get ready.” you tell him as you push him away, not letting his lips meet yours. He groans, but then agrees and gets out of the jeep.
He grabs your hands once his bag is over his shoulder, smiling to himself as he feels you wrap your other arm around his bicep.
As he leads you into the stadium, he notices a guy’s eyes on you, and he feels jealousy flare up inside of him. He squeezes your hand instinctively, which causes you to look up at him, completely unaware of the situation.
“Are you okay? Are you sure you’re not nervous?” you ask softly, stepping closer as the crowd gets more and more dense. He nods stiffly, his jaw clenched. Maybe this isn’t as good of an idea as he thought.
“I’m fine, princess. I don’t get nervous,” he tells you, his eyes still ahead of him. “Especially not with my good luck charm beside me.” he mentions after a moment in a softer voice. He finally looks down at you, feeling his jealousy slipping away as he sees your big wide eyes looking up at him.
You hum softly, face growing hot at his words as you look down at the ground, trusting him to lead you through the crowd.
He pulls his phone out of his pocket with the hand that’s not holding yours, groaning as he realizes that he should’ve been in the locker room a few minutes ago. He stops and turns to you, which makes you look up to meet his eyes.
“Okay, I have to go. Can you find your way to your seat by yourself?” he asks, ducking down slightly to better match your height. You nod, biting your lip.
“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be sitting right behind the bench, waiting to cheer for you when you score a touchdown, which is worth six points.” you tease, rising onto your toes to meet his lips as you wrap your arms around his neck. He happily leans down to meet you halfway, on hand on your hip and the other on your jaw.
“You’re gonna kill it.” you tell him once you both pull away, letting your arms drop from around his neck as you take a step back. He smiles at you, smacking your ass softly as you turn to walk to your seat, eyes glued to the way it jiggles from his touch.
You squeal softly in surprise, then whirl around quickly to look at him. He chuckles, putting his hands up in surrender.
“I can feel my good luck charm working already.” he says with a wink, and you fight back a smile as you shake your head. You turn again, walking to your seat, a smile finally breaking onto your face once you’re turned away from him.
He makes his way to the locker room and gets ready, apologizing quickly as his coach yells at him for being late. He starts feeling his adrenaline growing until it’s time for the teams to come onto the field. He revels in the feeling of so many people cheering for his team, so it takes a few seconds for him to find you in the large stadium, exactly where you said you’d be.
You grin widely as you see him running onto the field, standing in your seat on the aisle and cheering with the rest of the crowd. As he runs over to the bench, his grin widens and he gives you a wink, which isn’t lost on some of his teammates. They look at each other with raised brows, but they can’t tell who he’s looking at in the sea of red and yellow.
The game starts quickly, and you have to admit, you have no idea what’s going on. Your eyes move between the ball and Evan, and you think he’s doing really well, as he keeps blocking and tackling the other team. The first quarter seems to be pretty uneventful, however, as it’s still 0-0 when it ends.
He jogs over to the bench with his team, taking a drink of water. His eyes find yours again and you beam at him before blowing him a kiss. You can’t help it; you think seeing him playing football is the hottest thing you’ve ever seen. His smile widens as he pretends to catch it, trying to angle his body so his teammates don’t see his actions, but his smile drops as he hears his teammates laughing behind him. He turns to them, shoving the teammate closest to him, mumbling a small “shut up” before his head turns back in your direction.
You feel bad as you notice his teammates teasing him, and when he turns back to you, you mouth a quick “sorry.” He shakes his head, however, mouthing back “it’s okay” as he gives you another wink.
“Head in the game, loverboy.” he hears behind him, along with a few of his teammates laughing.
He turns back to his friend Owen, mumbling a rough “whatever, man” as he fights back a smile. Despite his clenched jaw and stern expression at their teasing, he can’t help feeling a little giddy as he keeps the image of you in his jersey in his mind.
The second quarter starts, and things start to pick up, and you’re starting to figure out a little bit more about what’s going on. Both teams have scored some touchdowns, but Evan’s team is still up by a few points, which you’re thankful for. You can’t imagine the pressure he and the rest of the team have on them, despite how unphased Evan seemed to be earlier.
You keep your word, cheering when the rest of the crowd cheers, feeling a sense of pride that you have his name on your back whenever he does something for his team. You’re amazed at what he can do, how he tackles and blocks the other team, how he throws and catches the ball. You could never do any of that, you think, you can’t get over how strong he must be do to all of this.
The whistle blows to signal halftime, and you watch as Evan and the rest of the team jog to the locker room. As you wait for the game to continue, you pull out your phone, feeling a little awkward as everyone around you is talking to other people they came with. You decide to text Evan quickly.
You: You’re doing great. You’re gonna kill it in the second half<3
He grabs his phone from his locker as he hears it chime, a smile making its way onto his face as he reads your message. As he’s about to type out a reply, Owen sees the way he stopped responding to him, and turns to face him with a smirk.
“That your girlfriend?” A few of the guys look over as Owen speaks with surprised expressions, not quite used to the idea of Evan having a girl come to any of their games. They’ve seen him with girls at parties before, but he was never serious enough about them for much else.
In an instant, one of the other guys, Luca, grabs Evan’s phone from his hand, another one, Cam, coming in just as quick to block Evan from getting the phone back.
“Look at this, he got a good luck text from his girl.” Luca teases, holding the phone out for a few of the other guys to see. Evan groans, still trying to get around Cam to get his phone back. He can feel himself getting angry, although he knows deep down there’s no reason to be. It feels like they’re stealing you away from him, as if you’re the phone.
“You got a crush, man?” another teammate asks, chuckling softly and patting him on the back.
You watch your text switch from delivered to read, and you’re happy that he’s seen it, but you can’t help but frown when he doesn’t respond. Feeling the adrenaline pumping through you, and feeling a little worked up from seeing Evan playing, you send him another text, hoping to encourage him further.
Luca puts a hand to his mouth as another text comes in, laughing loudly as he looks up at Evan with wide eyes.
“Damn, man. Now I know why you chose her.” he teases, tilting the phone as a few players look over his shoulder at the text. Evan still struggles around Cam, his face getting red in frustration and jealousy. What did you say, he thinks?
“Got yourself a punt bunny, Buckley?” another chimes in right as Evan finally grabs his phone back, looking down at the text quickly.
You: If you win, I’ll give you a reward later.
He can’t help but smirk at his phone, the chatter from his teammates fading into the background as he rereads your words. He’s a little surprised at them, but he can’t help the way his dick twitches at the idea. He starts to think about the many ways you could reward him when his coach starts speaking loudly, going over the game plan one more time before the game resumes.
He types a quick response before shoving his phone back in his locker, listening intently to the coaches words.
Evan: I’ll keep that in mind, princess.
The third quarter starts a minute or two after you get a response from Evan, butterflies filling your stomach as your brain finally catches up with what you texted him. You bite your lip as nerves fill your stomach, but they’re pushed aside as soon as you see Evan in his gear, a wave of desire flowing through you again.
Everything is going well until there’s only three minutes left in the quarter. You watch as a player comes out of nowhere, tackling Evan to the ground. He stays down for a few moments after the other player gets off of him, groaning in pain.
You shoot up from your seat, raising a hand to your mouth as your breath catches in your throat. Dread fills every inch of your body as you watch him lay still, fighting the urge to run onto the field and make sure he’s okay yourself. Why isn’t anyone checking on him, you think as you watch intently, barely blinking as you study his form.
Finally, he sits up slowly, shaking his head before he gets up. You let out a shaky breath, feeling your shoulders drop as he slowly stands up and signals he’s good to keep playing. You bite your nail anxiously as you keep your eyes on him, not even focusing on the ball until the quarter is over.
He makes his way to the bench, his body aching a little, but nothing he’s not used to. He takes his helmet off and looks up at you, immediately noticing your unease. He gives you a thumbs up and a wide smile, hoping to calm your nerves, and it works slightly. You stop biting your nail and give him a small smile, but you want this game to be over immediately so you can make sure he’s okay.
You see that they’re now down by a point, and you wait anxiously for the last quarter to start, barely paying attention to anything as your eyes go unfocused and your eyes move across the stadium.
Evan’s heart swells at your nervousness. Although he doesn’t want you to worry, he can’t help the warm feeling in his chest because he knows you’re worried about him.
The fourth quarter is almost over, and Evan would be lying if he said his head is completely in the game. He’s still playing as hard as he can, but he can’t help his mind wander to you in his jersey, and the text you sent. He knows that this game is important, but all he sees when he glances at the scoreboard is how many minutes until he can get you back to his place.
The game ends, and the entire stadium erupts in chaos, and you can’t help but shoot up from your seat, jumping up and down with the rest of the crowd with a huge smile. They won.
You watch the team celebrate with each other on the field, and you can feel the excitement coming off of them. You know it’s Evan’s last year on the team, as you’re both graduating at the end of the year, and you’re so happy that his last homecoming game is ending with a win.
You watch as the teams make their way off the fields, and you wait a few minutes for the stands to clear out slightly before making your way towards the locker rooms, standing where you and Evan parted ways earlier.
He’s quick to change once he gets to the locker room, not even bothering to shower before he throws all his things in his bag. He celebrates with his teammates for a few minutes, but as they start to get ready to shower, he’s leaving the locker room faster than he ever has.
You lean against the wall as you anxiously wait to see Evan exiting the locker room, and you can’t help the squeal you let out when you finally see him, a large grin erupting on your face. You practically run over to him and wrap your arms around his neck, overwhelmed by the happiness you feel. He drops his bag and wraps his arms around your waist quickly, a soft noise escaping his throat as you run into him.
“Hi, princess.” he says at the same time as you say “you did so good.” You both laugh softly before he responds in your ear, not wanting to let you go.
“Of course, I did. I had my good luck charm with me.” You laugh softly, pulling back just enough to meet his lips in a searing kiss. But, almost immediately after you kiss him, you pull back, a worried expression taking over your face.
“Are you okay? You took a pretty hard hit.” you ask softly, your hands moving to his cheeks, searching his eyes for any sign of pain. He chuckles softly, shaking his head as he feels his cheeks flush slightly.
“I’m fine, princess. Don’t worry about me.” he whispers before leaning in again, pulling you as close to him as he can with his hands on your waist. He pulls back after a moment, not wanting to get caught by the rest of the team;
he knows he’d never hear the end of it.
He picks up his bag and wraps his arm around your shoulder, leading you back to the jeep. You look up at him beside you, noticing the gleam of sweat on his face, and the way his hair sticks to his neck.
“Are we going right to the party? Or are you gonna shower first?” you ask teasingly, giving him a cheeky smile as he looks down at you with a scoff.
“I’m gonna stop by my place and shower quick, princess, don’t worry.” he tells you, giving you a wink as he pulls you closer. You gag jokingly, pushing him away from you, mumbling a “good” as you finally get to the jeep.
“You’re welcome to join me if you want.” he says once you’re both in the jeep, looking over at you with a raised brow. You can feel your cheeks heating up as you meet his gaze, fighting back a smile as you shake your head.
“I don’t get that, it makes no sense. Showers are supposed to be relaxing. If there are two people, one person is standing in the water and the other person is cold.” you tell him seriously, although the more you think of it, the more you like the idea of showering with him. He chuckles at your response, rolling his eyes as he begins to drive the short distance back to his place.
“Well, yeah, if the other person is selfish. You wouldn’t be selfish in the shower, though, would you?” he teases, grabbing your thigh tightly, his thumb gently running across your inner thigh in a drastic contrast.
“I guess you’ll never know.” you tell him teasingly, smirking as you cross your arms over your chest.
“Yeah, but I’d like to.” he murmurs as you look out the window, which makes you laugh softly, shaking your head again.
As you make your way to his house, you can’t help the grin plastered to your face. Evan has the windows down, blasting his music, and you can hear the giddy chatter of passing students as they walk down the sidewalk. His hand stays on your hand the entire time, and as you take in all the joy in the air, you feel the excitement bubbling up inside you for the night to come.

They all took their final bows on stage as the show ended, everyone applauding how it all went.
After Andy and EJ had gotten out of their costumes, she still couldn't get over his weird makeup.
"Come here," she said to him, grabbing a facial wipe and starting to wipe off those creepy eyebrows.
It was silent for a moment and they allowed themselves to just calm down after the hectic show, relishing in one another's company.
"Reminds me of when Ricky hit me in the face and you offered to clean my shirt," he said, smiling at her as she finished.
She stopped for a second, a smirk on her face, "Or when you got punch thrown over your head," Andy said and the two laughed.
"Thats when I realised I still had feelings for you," he said, taking her hands in his, "That night after homecoming,"
She looked at him, a smile on her face. Sometimes she wondered how she had ended up with someone like him, how she was lucky enough to deserve him.
Andy leaned up, pressing a kiss against his lips. She stayed there for a second, forehead pressed against his.
"I realised I liked you a long time before that," she muttered, pulling back.
He smiled to himself. He knew about her crush, Ashlyn had told him and he couldn't believe he had never noticed.
Their moment was interrupted when Ashlyn cleared her throat in order to get the attention of the whole group.
"Has anyone seen Big Red, it seems like I've been missing him all night?" Ashlyn asked and Carlos directed her to the hallway.
They all followed the couple, watching from the door as Big Red made a huge speech on how awesome she was.
Afterwards, they stood in the hallway where all the parents talked to their children about how proud they were.
Sophie was rambling on about EJ and Andys acting and singing whilst the rest of her family talked to each other.
She was glad to have such a close knit family and that they liked her boyfriend so much, she didn't know how she'd feel if they didn't.
Then Cash walked over, EJ tensing up as he wondered what his father would say.
The feeling in the atmosphere changed when he walked over and everyone was silent, waiting to hear what the man was going to say.
"That was good son," Cash said. EJ looked over at Andy before smiling at his dad.
"Thanks dad," he said, the two embracing shortly before Cash started talking to Andys family.
EJ looked at his girlfriend, a huge smile on his face. He never recieved any sort of validation from his father so it was nice when it lasted.
"Its been a while Sophie," Cash said, smiling at the widow of his best friend.
"Your son was amazing, he's a great kid, always looks after Andy," Sophie said, smiling back at him.
Andy and EJ just held hands, watching as their families conversed, knowing that he was glad their families got along.

Later that night, the group headed off to Slices, EJ and Andy at the Booth together, his arm around her shoulders as the group laughed.
There were so many moments she wished to remember, and this was one of them. All of them relaxing and just enjoying one another's company.
It felt like all the weight and fear of thr menkies had been lifted off of her chest.
"I literally don't even remember being on stage," Carlos announced before Lily and Antoine came in.
"We just came to congratulate you, it was great," Lily said as they stood in front of them.
"And Big Red, you were also in it," Antoine said which was weird.
The French boy kept looking at Big Red, and undertone of emotion there that nobody quite understood.
The room started to become tense and everyone was too awkward to say anything.
"Okay, well, thank you guys for dropping by, but this is kind of a private party," Ricky said, walking the two out of the room.
Ricky came back looking slightly un-nerved, Andy nudged him with her foot from where he sat on the other booth, asking him if he was okay.
He nodded but the stress induced crease between his brow suggested there was something wrong.
"Can you imagine if they actually win at the Meknies?" Big Red asked.
"Honestly, and don't sue me, but I kinda don't care anymore if we win or lose," Kourtney explained, everyone agreeing with her.
Andy felt it was great to get it off her chest and the rest of the group felt the same.
Her anxiety had been at an all time high due to the menkies and she was glad that it was finally over.
EJ stood up, "If I could have a senior moment here," he said and everyone turned to him.
She looked up at him, the realisation that he was going to be leaving soon suddenly hitting her.
"I've won a bunch of trophies over the years. But I'd trade it all for this group here tonight," EJ said before sitting down next to Andy again.
She could feel the familiar burning of tears behind her eyes and she willed herself to hold it in for now.
She leaned over, head dropping down onto his shoulder and he wrapped an arm around her before pressing a kiss to her head.
"So, what are we going to tell Miss Jenn?" Natalie asked, interrupting the silence.
And at that moment, Miss Jenn ran in, waving the envelope everywhere, "I haven't opened it yet but who's ready for the biggest moment of the year?"
Her question was left with silence as they all wondered how to tell her.
Then Ricky spoke up, "We were kinda thinking you know, maybe we won already, and that we don't need to see whats in the envelope," he explained.
She looked around for reassurance and when she saw that the kids were all in agreement, she nodded.
"Oh thank god, I had to stop four time on the way here because I was physically ill," Miss Jenn said with a sigh of relief, "So it's settled, we're dropping out of the competition,"
Kourtney went to throw it in the pizza oven and then they all agreed to start the opening night party.
"You wanna go grab drinks?" Andy suggested to EJ and he nodded, the two getting up.
They walked over in silence. There was an awkward air to it that normally wasn't there between them.
"You okay?" She asked when they reached the drinks, the two standing there for a second.
"Yeah, I just got a lot on my mind," He stated, looking down at the drinks.
"Me too," she said and it was silent, but not the normal silent that they could bask in but an uncomfortable silence where neither knew what to say.
Andy picked up two of the drinks that she'd been requested to grab from Ricky and Big Red before she looked back at EJ.
"What are we going to do after you graduate?" She asked, breaking the silence as she looked up at him.
They hadn't mentioned the subject yet because they knew it would be difficult to discuss.
"I still want to be with you, we're gonna make this work," EJ said, making Andy put down the drinks so that he could cup her face with his hands.
She looked up at him, feeling tears staring to pool in her waterline as she looked at him.
"You are the best thing that's ever happened to be, and this is going to work, because I care about you so much. Like so much that I couldn't even imagine letting you go, I'm never going to," He confirmed.
She smiled at him, "I want to make this work too," she said, pulling him in for a kiss.
A kiss the solidified just how much they cared for one another and want to make this work between them.
"Gross not near the food," Ashlyn said as she walked over, seeing her cousin and her best friend in a tight liplock.
He wrapped his arms around Andys waist, pulling her in close, "I could say the same thing about you and Big Red," he said.
"Me and Big Red aren't gross, I don't kiss him at every opportunity," she said and EJ just laughed at it.
Because he knew that she was everything to him and he wanted to make this work when he left school.

Pray & Prophesy Over Your Prodigal’s Promise!
Thus says the Lord: “Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work [raising of your children, prayer] will be rewarded,” says the Lord; “and your children will return from the enemy’s land. There is [confident] hope for your future,” says the Lord; “Your children will come back to their own country” (Jeremiah 31:16-17 AMP).
Many are standing on God’s Word and His promises regarding the return of prodigals, whether it be their own child or loved one, a friend, or those contending for a wave of revival that includes the lost returning home.
When studying prodigals, we came across a powerful truth regarding the biblical illustration of the Prodigal Son story. This word prepares the foundation regarding what we have thought was lost purpose, but God’s plan always contains redemption, as the following paragraphs illustrate.
Luke 15:20 (NKJV) says, concerning the prodigal son, “…when he was still a great way off, his father...had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”
Jewish history enlightens us as to why the father ran, and it is a stunning revelation. This man’s son had demanded his inheritance, wanting what he considered to be his now, rather than when his father died, as was the custom of the day. After receiving his portion, the son left his home, turning his back on the values he had been taught. He eventually lost everything, wasting it all on parties and prostitutes, and ended up working in a pigpen. The son broke his father’s heart, as well as breaking all the rules of the tight-knit community he had been brought up in. After he came to his senses, the son decided to return home. Luke 15:20 tells us his father saw his son when he was still a long way off and ran to him.
In those times, a Middle Eastern man never ran, because in order to do so he would have to raise up his tunic so he wouldn’t trip, and in so doing would expose his bare legs. In that culture, it was considered humiliating and shameful for a man to show his bare legs. In addition, it was known that if a Jewish son lost his inheritance among Gentiles, and then returned home, the community would perform a ceremony called the kezazah, or a “ceremony of shame.”
During this ceremony, they would break a large pot or pitcher in front of the son. As they smashed it into pieces, they would declare him to be cut off from his people, all ties broken, and he would no longer be welcome in the community.

This, then, brings us to the question: why did the father run to his son, which also brought a level of shame to himself? In essence, the father was running to get to his son in order to extend grace before anyone else could get to him with the law. He wanted to extend love, acceptance, welcome, and hope before anyone else could take it away. He wanted his son welcomed, not shamed with humiliation and rejection.
As onlookers watched the father run toward his son, reuniting, hugging and kissing him, it would be apparent there would be no kezazah. Instead, there would be a homecoming party, a celebration of his restoration, which only the father could bring. No rejection—his father bore the shame and showed everyone that his son was welcomed home.
The application for us is fairly obvious. Our Father bore our sin and shame through Jesus. We can be forgiven and redeemed, and even our lost purpose and destiny can be restored. As we repent, He wipes the slate clean and gives us a fresh start.
God’s Promise: What He did for the prodigal son, He will do for you, and He will also do it for those for whom you are praying. Lost purpose will be recovered.
Purpose
The apostle Paul was a man of great purpose who understood destiny. In 2 Timothy, he wrote to his son in the faith, Timothy, concerning the subject.
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 1:9 NLT).
Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began (2 Timothy 1:9 NKJV).
The word purpose is the Greek word prothesis (Strong’s 4286). Pro is before. Prothesis means to set before, to set up, an exposition, and it also means to resolve or design.
You can easily recognize two English words derived from prothesis. First of all is the word thesis, which is a written report. An English teacher may have asked you to write a thesis on a particular subject or topic in school. Thesis can also refer to an essay or written composition concerning a specific viewpoint. In some situations, it could refer to a book.
Paul said to Timothy, and to you and I today: God wrote a thesis on you and recorded it in a book He has in Heaven. Before you ever entered the womb, God wrote His thesis on the details involving the design of your purpose, listing the intentions and paths He had in mind for you.
In eternity past, there came a time when God, the Creator of Heaven and earth, sat down and studied your life and what it would mean, why it would be, and then He composed a “written thesis” entitled Purpose. Amazingly, your life has spent time in God’s mind.
One such thesis would be titled “Tim’s Purpose,” in which He began to write a composition on my particular purpose. When He finished the book, He said, “Now, when the time is right, I will create him.”
Other theses would be titled Tom’s Purpose, or Dave’s Purpose, or Rachel’s Purpose. And one has your name on it. God sat down, wrote a thesis about you and recorded it in Heaven. He said, “When the time is right, I’ll create him or her.” Which means the time must be right, because you’re here!
The time is “right” for you to understand and fulfill your destiny. The time is “right” for you to begin to live out the thesis of God for your life. Your being alive now is proof of it. Just as God took a book called the Bible and quickened it, making it a rhema (living) word to us, so He can, and will, do with the book concerning you.
God wants to “quicken His thesis” about you to you. He wants His words of purpose made alive inside you. He wants it to become rhema. He wants His composition written about you to come alive so that His book about you isn’t just read—it’s lived. It’s a living thesis for you, residing inside you. Make no mistake about it. God, the Author, wrote your plan well. He left out no details. He thought through all of the chapters and, as Paul would write to the Hebrews, God is not only the Author, He’s also the Finisher.
He will help you finish the journey. He will assist you in finishing the “plans.” He will help you on all that is set forth. God says, “I wrote it down. I made it plain. I declared your purpose and I’ll even help you do it!”
Prothesis—before you were born God wrote your thesis. Then He made you with everything it would take to do it. With His Holy Spirit quickening and guiding, and with His help, you can do it.
I want us to see this word in connection with another word.
For [the] administration of the fulness of times; to head up all things in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth; in him, in whom we have also obtained an inheritance, being marked out beforehand according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his own will (Ephesians 1:10-11 Darby).
Purpose is the Greek word prothesis. Counsel is the Greek word boulē (Strong’s 1012) and it means the will, to decree, to aim, and it also refers to the decision-making process of government. The parliamentary government in modern Greece is called the boulē, not the Congress like in the United States.
Why do they use the word boulē? Because boulē means deliberation and reflection. The Greek government reflects and deliberates before the decrees are made. They reflect on the projects needed as they meet in counsel together. They reflect and deliberate before the will is written down (before it’s recorded).
God says before We made you (God said in Genesis, let Us make man in Our image and likeness, referring to the Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), before We wrote your thesis, We reflected on your purpose. We deliberated and thought it through. We exchanged ideas concerning you and took counsel together concerning Our will for your life.
The ways intended for you were reflected upon by the parliament of Heaven. The parliamentary counsel of Heaven decreed and declared the intended purpose for each man and woman. As They wrote the thesis for each person, They had it recorded, and when it was the right time, we were born.
David says in Psalm 139, “My days were written down before there was one of them.” Acts 13:36 (NKJV) says, “For David, after he served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers….” The word will in that verse is boulē. The parliamentary counsel of Heaven had a purpose, a thesis, for David to accomplish and David served it. Acts 13:36 (AMPC) says, “For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death]….”
David discovered and fulfilled the purpose of God for his life. He had purpose in his generation and he accomplished it. You, too, have purpose. God wrote your story beforehand and is now working on paths that will enable you to fulfill it in your generation.
I said earlier there were two words readily seen in the Greek word for purpose (prothesis). One is, of course, thesis. The second word is prosthesis, which refers to artificial limbs. It used to be if someone’s leg had to be cut off, a wooden leg or a peg was put in its place. Why make an artificial limb? To restore a lost purpose. To restore lost movement and balance and to restore some kind of use or purpose that was missing, cut off.
What a word this is for us! What a hope this gives us. You may say, “My life has been cut off from any real meaning. There’s something missing. Years ago, I did this or that and I feel cut off because of it. I sinned. I did something I’m ashamed of. I did something I know was absolutely wrong. I miserably failed. I made decisions that were selfish. I made choices that were directly opposed to why I’m here.”
Quite possibly, a situation may have occurred that you had no control over and cut you off. Perhaps a tragedy took place, or you experienced a broken relationship, or suffered some form of abuse. Because of that, it seems as if you’ve been severed from any real purpose. You’ve been cut off from a life of significance and meaning and the balance in your life was thrown askew.
God may have a thesis that He reflected upon and wrote for you, but life or fate has written you a different one and you’re living cut off from God’s thesis. You can’t complete His thesis for you because what is needed to do so was amputated from you. What I want to emphasize is that your purpose—the reason you are here—doesn’t change. It never changes. God is not rewriting your story; He already wrote it!

GOD GUYS What if when Tony gets back to earth and Karen (yes the A.I) ask about Peter. sure she is an A.I but that would be so sad to see. Or maybe just to hear her. If Tony comes home and says "He didn't make it" and Karen responds with a small "oh" it almost sounds human how small and sad it is. Like how Jarvis kinda was in the first ironman when he got back. Guys she was built protect Peter, in SMH we see how invested she is in Peter. I know she is an A.I and it probs won't happen but just a small scene with Tony telling her and then finding out how much she cared about Peter

you were being tested and tormented on a daily bases, the only thing between you and human contact was a wall. You had no clue what he looked like but you loved him anyways.
"why are they doing this to us..." you asked with your legs curled to your chest to try and keep warm.
"i dont know", he replied. "mabye were lab rats to them..." he chuckled slightly.
"but im gonna get us out of here soon", he whispered as if they were listening to our every word.
"whats your name", you ask. You were numbers to hydra, nothing about you mattered, aslong as when they say the words your ready to comply.
"james, but call me Bucky", he only told people to call him Bucky if he trusted them."what about you".
"im y/n", you smile. "its a nice name", he replied.
You hear his door open and the words, "longing, rusted, seventeen, daybreak, furnace, nine, benign, homecoming, one, frieght car".
you blink back the tears as bucky answers, "gotov podchinit'sya", (ready to comply).

I made Valedictorian this year and thought I would share my speech. When I was writing it, the speeches people posted on here really helped, so maybe this can help someone else too.
I've been to a few graduations, heard a few speeches, although I only payed attention to one, and naturally I tried very hard to make my speech better than my brother's, so here goes:
Fellow graduates, we did it, we made it, we graduated, and some of us will probably never speak to each other again. Nevertheless, we’ve been through a lot together
I’ve spent a lot of time in the last week reflecting over not only our four years here, but over the past thirteen years we’ve been in school together, the stuff we learned, the fun we had.
Remember
In kindergarten, when we all put our hand prints on the wall
In sixth grade when we went to outdoor school, and Ginko wore those awful tights
Or at the end of eighth grade when we went to Tree to Tree, to celebrate our achievements
Even, the ONE time Mrs. Butt wasn’t at school, and someone in the back of the class ate an onion covered in toothpaste, which really explains why food wasn’t allowed in her class
Or all the time spent decorating the hallways for homecoming
Or when we got an “extended spring break” that lasted till the end of the school year
And now, were graduating after a year of distance learning
We made a lot of memories together. Although, I’m pretty sure as kids we all expected quicksand and the Bermuda Triangle to have a much bigger impact on our lives than it actually did.
We’ve learned a lot in the past years. I can’t say how much we’re going to remember, but thankfully someone taught us the Pythagorean theorem, although learning how to function in the real world might have been just a touch more useful. At least we will remember that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
My mom told me speeches should be inspirational, and have a message, a meaning, something important. I searched and scoured my shelves to find a book with the perfect inspirational and meaningful message. Believe it or not, it was in Harry Potter, “Every great wizard in history has started out as nothing more than what we are now: students. If they can do it, why not us?” - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, J.K. Rowling
When I set out to write this speech, I did a lot of research, I read hundreds of speeches on the internet, all while procrastinating that last bit of homework. There were a lot of places saying to avoid clichés, especially the cliché in every speech, “It’s not the end, just a new beginning.” I’ll admit, it is an overused cliché, but that could be because it's accurate. No one likes an ending, whether it be the end of a book, movie, or even the end of high school. This isn’t the end of our story, just the end of a chapter. From here on out, we’re the writers, we’re writing our own stories now, and there’s something we all need to say:
To the teachers that stayed late everyday to help with homework
To the teachers that went out of their way to make sure we succeeded
To the teachers that kept snacks in their desks, and made sure everyone ate something
To (Teacher) and (Teacher) for teaching us how to get a thr ee day paid vacation, although there are probably better ways of doing so
To (Teacher) and (Teacher), for making sure that everyone knew that they belonged
To the other teachers that I didn’t list, who will probably be butt hurt
And finally, to the friends, siblings, and parents of everyone here,
Thank you, you have had a huge impact on all of us, and we probably wouldn’t be here without you. Remember to take the time to personally thank them soon.
And now, classmates, we spent all of elementary school looking forward to middle school, all of middle school looking forward to high school, and all of high school looking forward to graduation, and now it’s here, we did it.
To those who are outgoing, that tried to make everyone smile
To the people with funny laughs that disrupted every class
To those that always showed up late, because they had to have coffee
To those that read through class, and those that slept through class
To the athletes, the artists, the band kids, the geeks, and the nerds
To the future farmers, scientists, lawyers, and doctors
To those whose first year here was also their last
To the ones we grew up with, even those that are graduating elsewhere
To us, the class of 2021, congratulations.

Tearing down the Tomdaya timeline, created by "Spidermaninlove" - Part 1 (2016)
I am not using evidence or "proof", which is OUT THERE, to show that this timeline is only based on the emotions/opinions of its creator and is therefore falsely claimed as a fact. I am using common sense to explain the dynamic between the two co-workers/friends that are Tom Holland and Zendaya.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Story Showrunner Hints: ‘It’s Now a June-Serena Thing’
https://ift.tt/3xyqqgy
Warning: contains spoilers for The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 finale.
From the Washington D.C. mouth-rings to Emily’s bandages to Janine’s missing eye, The Handmaid’s Tale has a knack for creating indelible, horrific images. The season four finale gave us another: the headless corpse of Fred Waterford strung up on a wall sprayed with the legend ‘Nolite te bastardes carborundorum’. It’s an image, showrunner Bruce Miller told The Hollywood Reporter, that June now sees every time that she closes her eyes.
June was the one who put Fred on the wall. Betrayed by a legal system prepared to cut this founder of Gilead and serial rapist a deal, she and her fellow ex-Handmaids went outside the law to punish him. June knew the healthy choice was to move on and let Fred go, but she couldn’t do it. After seven years of Gilead, she did the only thing she could and chose brutal, Old Testament vengeance.
What next? Season five won’t be with us until spring/summer 2022 at the very earliest, so until then, here are some of the hints Miller and actor-producer Elisabeth Moss gave THR’s Jackie Strause about the story to come…
‘We’re going to be seeing [Fred] again’
A major character since episode one, Joseph Fiennes’ Fred Waterford won’t just disappear from The Handmaid’s Tale now that he’s dead. “The character dying doesn’t mean Joe stops coming and being part of the cast,” Miller tells THR. “We do have quite a heavy flashback show.” Miller describes the heartbreak of losing Fiennes’ character as “neutered a little bit by knowing we’re going to be seeing him again.”
What period will the season five flashbacks revisit? The first days of the coup d’état, Miller suggests. “I think the stories of Serena and Fred that we haven’t seen before, even in early Gilead, are fascinating.”
‘It could push June to infamy or it could push her to prison’
The big question of the season four cliff-hanger is what consequences June will face for killing Fred. “She’s a refugee who did this but, on the other hand, who is going to know?” Miller tells THR. “Who was there and who is going to tell them?” Things could go one of two ways, suggests Miller, Fred’s murder could make June an infamous symbol of vengeance in the fight against Gilead, or it could harm the ex-Handmaids’ reputations as blameless victims.
“Nobody really likes Fred at this point. Gilead doesn’t really like him either,” Elisabeth Moss tells THR. Yet “she has murdered someone, and regardless of what Gilead thinks, that’s illegal in most countries. So, June thinks she’s going to be in trouble.”
‘It’s now a June-Serena thing’
June broke the news of Fred’s murder to Serena in suitably brutal style, by mailing her his wedding ring… along with his severed ring finger. How will Mrs Waterford react? With a “white-hot fever of revenge”, Miller tells THR. “Even though Serena didn’t like Fred and they have a complicated relationship, it’s now a June-Serena thing. She will want to find a way to metaphorically or realistically get June for this. June hit her house and she wants to hit her back. There’s that absolute toe-to-toe, woman-to-woman venom, but also, what is the relationship between two women where one killed the other’s abuser? It’s complicated.”

By Louisa Mellor
‘Does she have a future with Nick? Of course’
Another major question mark after the events of the finale is how June’s actions will affect her still-rocky domestic life with Luke and Nichole. June’s homecoming wasn’t smooth. The trauma of Gilead had changed her into somebody Luke didn’t recognise or understand. With Luke, June used sex aggressively as a way to deflect intimacy. On the few occasions she was reunited with Nick however, she was able to show real intimacy. Who will she end up with?
Elisabeth Moss tells THR: “I wish June was the kind of person she used to be before Gilead who could live happily with Luke […] But the problem is that she’s not the same person who married him. I don’t think she can get past that. […]June and Nick are the wartime love. They’ve been in the same war, they’ve had the same experiences and that bond is a very difficult one to break.”
Miller is equally optimistic about June and Nick’s chances, despite the revelation in season four that Nick has now re-married in Gilead. “Does she have a future with Nick? Of course. Would you have expected them to have any future at all once she left the Waterford house? They’ve said goodbye permanently so many times, I absolutely believe there’s a way for them to see each other again.”
‘June would do anything to get Janine out’
The last we saw Janine, she was back in Gilead having been picked up after the Chicago bombing that separated her from June. Over the phone to Canada, Commander Lawrence told June that her friend was now at the Red Centre with Aunt Lydia. Janine had three meals a day, a roof over her head and was safe, he assured June, not understanding that there is no safety with the Aunts, even for Lydia’s favourite girl. Bruce Miller describes Janine (perhaps temporarily forgetting about her daughter Hannah) as “June’s heart in Gilead”, and says June feels responsible for Janine and Esther, and would do anything to get them out.
Moss concurs, telling THR, “She is all in. She wants to bring the whole system down, and with that would come saving Hannah, saving Janine and the proper revenge on Serena.”
‘I’m in no rush to end it’
Miller confirmed that work had started in earnest this past season to pave the way for planned spinoff series The Testaments, based on Margaret Atwood’s 15-years-later sequel to her original novel. “I have to be thinking about that as part of the universe because it shares characters. We’ve certainly already tried to lay it in this season. The Lawrence-Lydia relationship is about how Lydia starts to access the corridors of power.”
So, could season five be the end of The Handmaid’s Tale, ready for The Testaments to take over? It doesn’t sound like it. Speaking to THR, Bruce Miller emphasised how much he and the team loved making the current show and said he was “in no rush to end it […] I’m not going to shut it down while we have interesting stories to tell.” That sounds like a call for the story to extend at least into season six, and maybe beyond?

The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 is available now to stream on Hulu in the US. It’s currently airing weekly on Channel 4 on Sundays at 9pm in the UK.
