the whole party had a crush on Lucas at some point. he doesn’t know this, but it’s a fact.

it probably gets revealed during a hangout in like senior year. they’re talking abt embarrassing crushes and Will ends up admitting that he had a small crush on Lucas in like fifth grade (and if mike is exploding Lucas with his mind? that's neither here nor there). Lucas just pats Will on the shoulder like “it's okay. it can be hard to resist all this”.

but then Dustin chimes in with a “I gotta admit, I definitely had a crush on you too Lucas”. and Lucas is kinda shocked, but expresses a similar sentiment, “like I said, I’m hard to resist”.

then El just nods & says “me too” with a shrug like that doesn't blow Lucas's mind. “wow. I knew I was arguably the most desirable party member but this is kinda shocking guys.”

Max just swats at his arm but agrees with a smile on her face. they all laugh at them and are about to move on when Mike mutters something under his breath. Will busts up laughing from his place next to Mike. and now Max & Dustin HAVE to know what it was. mike ends blushing up to his ears, covering his face while saying, louder this time, “I may have also had... a small... tiny... minuscule… crushonLucastooinlikethirdgrade” and THAT makes Lucas guffaw, “WHEELER! YOU DID NOT!” “Holy shit this is the best thing I’ve ever heard!” “I fucking knew it!”

Dustin is laughing quietly with El while Lucas and Max attempt to breathe through their wheezing. Mike just groans noisily on the floor, rolling over into Wills lap while he laughs at him and pats his head in fake sympathy.

Okay, well, I had one of those times today where I was like, "I should watch something other than horror for a change" and I mean. I know I should switch it up more, but also...I don't want to. Let's watch a slasher.

The Ranger (2018)

One wouldn't usually expect a slasher/survival horror in the woods to have a bitchin' punk soundtrack, but the group of youths in this one are glittery cocaine punks. (Literally the cocaine is pink and glittery.)

THE RANGER (2018)

Where has this movie been all my life? This little flick is a total underrated gem in regard to campy slashers. The very idea of a deranged forest ranger hunting down punks because they violated the park code is outright ridiculous and, in my opinion, reason enough to check this movie out. The ranger' very animated actions paired with his cheesy 1 liners about garbage in the forest keep the film light and bordering on horror comedy. The wardrobe in this film also was incredible, showcasing different styles of punk clothing in a very authentic way, with most of it looking homade and / or DIYed. A lot of the scenes in this film were shot beautifully with help from the gorgeous scenery. However, campy, this all sounds like there are still some very powerful and unsettling scenes from this film. I was especially disturbed by the ranger crawling around naked except for a wolf pelt and howling like a predator. Absolutely unhinged behavior, and I have to hand it to the actors' performance because that scene has not left my head since I watched it. I also liked seeing Chelsea go from an annoying wannable punk to a strong woman capable of saving herself and reclaiming her life. I didn't need the "wolf recognizing wolf"symbolic scene, but other than that, this film is definitely worth your time.

The Ranger:

A bunch of Punk Rock teens are on the run and try to lay low at a cabin in the mountains but the Park Range doesn't like them or their attitudes. A good amount of blood and some great kills, i just wish some of the kills traded places. The last 10 or so minutes went from Suspense, to wierd, to Kickass, to Satifying. But I loved it

If you decide to watch this, just please try your hardest to deal with the annoying teens. It's worth it.
