the new spiderman game has me thinking about my Spiderverse OCs

Ven and Parker, aka the Spider², they both took over the mantle after the original Spider-Woman of their universe retired. They have frequent competitions to see who gets to have The Spider title for the week.

Even though Hobie's become the main Atsv character i post about and my fave is a four way tie between him Miles Gwen and Margo,he's the only one out of all of them i don't actively seek out content for and the main one i do is Gwen.This is due to the fact that although Ghostflower is the focus of Atsv,Gwen stans regularly make solo content for her that fleshes her out even without touching on her comics so it's pretty satisfying and a lot of them are anti-Gwen objectification and resonable with their defenses of her.I know there's bad apples in their side of the fandom but it's also the fact that it comes from Ghostflower purists and isn't about Gwen herself because they don't actually care about her and this is why a fair chunk of so called Gwen stans violently deny her transness

While with Hobie,i've learned the hard way that almost nobody cares about him for who he actually is.I'm finding it VERY hard to remember Hobie headcanons i've seen that wasn't shipping,race blind anti shipping,sexual or just memes.Hobie is such a deeply interesting character within the movies alone and i was literally mindblow when i read the Spiderpunk comics so imagine my infuriation,offense and sadness when i realized 99% of the fandom dosen't give a fuck about him beyond him being handsome and 'a silly little guy'

I could talk about how i think he's a gamer who plays only indie games for anti-capitalism and supporting small bussinesses/creators and loves gummy sharks and is glamrock on the side and unlabeled specifically because he's so confused on his orientation and where on the trans spectrum he's on he just said fuck it and has adultification trauma but not done by his mom but his abusive ass older brothers and grew up getting bullied and kicked out of schools but was a bully beater who stood up for kids who weren't even nice to him because he knew it was the right thing to do and has so much insecurity around his looks because he was treated so badly for them it literally gave him ptsd

But none of y'all would give a fuck.Because i wouldn't be picking on a 16 year girl from a Spiderman movie because she has no social skills due to lack of friends and an abusive dad and wants people to love her not even romantically but just to treat her with some fucking decency as i simp for grown ass male characters who abuse kids like her or reducing a black punk to an accesory for other characters,a soulless caretaker,a sex object or a goddamn joke without internalizing any of his messages.Atsv fans are sick i'm so get real

- either way, he actually can be pretty silly and he’s the type of dad to get you watermelon every other day for the rest of your life if you say you like it once
