In Tribute to Dave Hughes The South African wine industry is collectively mourning the loss of Dave Hughes today. I’m so thankful that he received his flowers while he was still with us, and that I was touched by his generosity. Dave was on hand to grace me with kind words when I was awarded the @veritas_awards Young Wine Writer of the year award in 2016. Dave was a seasoned winemaker, distiller, journalist, consultant, international wine and spirits judge and often wrote for @winelandmedia. Our hearts are with those who treasured him most, he left an indelible mark.
